Dear Toshiba and other members of the Forum,

I am disgusted with attitude of Toshiba TV service staff in Delhi and have already given bad feedback to
several LCD TV customers not to buy Toshiba goods in India.

I bought a 31 inch LCD TV in MUmbai Hypercity Malad on 31st Dec 2009 and than shifted to Delhi.
It seems that some damage was caused to LCD TV. After herculean efforts, I could locate contact number of Toshiba TV service in Delhi Mobile No [protected] and person Jaswinder Singh. After pleading for several days, one person landed at my place called Pawan Kumar ( Mobile no [protected] ), 2/3 weeks back. I was interested in getting it repaired. That absolutely careless person did not sent quote on my email or address. I called up several times, sent address but till now these disgusting people have neither bothered to responde nor sent quote.

These disgusting Toshiba service staff feel that they did us a favour by selling us Toshiba TV and responding on service call.

I work at senior levels in a company and I have already been telling people to keep away from Toshiba. I think Toshiba culture is disgusting and its not a company whose products should be bought.

I still await a quote from Toshiba. I repent the fact that I bought a Toshiba product.

    Toshiba corporation is making laptops as one of their products , I have purchased a satelite model 510 but The corporation has not provided any rescue disk with it , moreover their online registration is also not working properly. Months get passed by but there is no reply by the corporation regarding is there is any problem with laptop or is the customer happy . The plastic cover is also very soft and not durable. There is a problem with sound card also. In a total customer is not give any preference either by the dealer or by the corporation. They are like a local sabzi wala , purchase vegetables and go , customer satisfaction goes to hell apni item bik gaya thats all. very bad after sales service

    Toshiba — bad manufacturer

    i have a A200 notebook of toshiba, and it's microphone pin doesn't work at all from the time of purchase and its battery is also deadth after 10 months of purchase. when i claimed for battery nobody in toshiba response a proper answer and ask me to call next day again and again.

    Toshiba — Awful after Sales Service

    Well! So herez how it all went. I purchased my Toshiba Laptop A305-6872 in mid december. Barely 2 months after the purchase, the laptop suddenly called off its operations. I tried end number of time with end number of possibilities to switch it on, however failed every single time.

    I thought that i should give my laptop to the service center and expected them to deliver in 5 - 10 days. I called them up the next day to know the exact cause of failure. I was really surprised to hear that there was some problem with the PCB (motherboard) and it would take 15 days to replace the same. (Imagine, ur motherboard is screwed up in 2 months, THATS QUALITY).

    Now its been 39 days to be precised, but i havent received my laptop. On top of that, the customer service is too polite to even speak with. I had given up all hopes. Just want to know how do I contact the higher authorities and raise my concern.

    Moral of the story: Toshiba SU*KS BIG time. dont ever think of buying one from TOSHIBA

    Very poor service from Toshiba, and reading your problem, even I have started having a doubt on quality of Toshiba Products sold here in India (atleast)

      i have bought toshiba laptop which is within the warranty period as on date .ihave been runninig piller to post to get my lap top rectified of its "screen flickering" problem. So far i have got no response from toshiba agensy even on personel visits .The customer support is pathetic and i have allready gone through agony .The battery backup is only of 30 min. i request an approprite action may be initiated against the company and mine and many others problem needs to be solved and toshiba may be taken to task.

        I have bought 3 brand new toshiba laptop from a reputed store and it is shocking that one laptop is not working from the very second day..!
        yes the keyboard is not working, i have given back to the dealer and he in turn give it to the service centre, they checked and (take 10 days time) said that there is some problem with the keyboard and hardisk, we have checked with toshiba they told us to change the parts and rectify the complaint we will give it to you in 2 days time, i told them clearly that i dont want the old machine, need a new one, now they are trying to get a new piece from the company, so think before u go for Toshiba

          I had purchased one Toshiba-LCD Model No 40cv 600E from M/s Vijay Sales-Chembur vide bill no 81-SWR05-10SIAOT 345 dtd[protected] for Rs 42,500/-. The LCD was installed by Toshiba technician on 04.5.2010. Within feq days, on one corner of the panel a damaged signal was being indicated on the screen. I had lodged a complaint and the techniian visited on 10.5.2010 and informed that the panel would have to be remoed and photographed. When the panel was removed, photographed and again replaced the damaged signal on the screen spread on the entire LCD. On 15.5.2010, i received an e-mail from M/s Aditya Electronics(Toshiba service centre) that the panel was damaged and is not under warranty. I replied to their mail on 19.5.2010 when no response was coming from M/s Aditya Electronics.
          My repeated calls on phone proved futile and finally whe i gave one more mail on 25.5.2010, i was called by Shri Jeetenddra of M/s Aditya lectronics on 25.5.2010 and was informed that i had to pay for a new panel and the cost is Rs 40,000/- . Subsequently i had a mail that the cost of new panel will be Rs 40,000/-
          I am not sure as to how they decided that this is a physical damage based on a photograph, and had they not disturbed the initial arrangement then at least we would have lived with a 3/4 th screen view. But their technician disturbed the panel and now the entire screen is not viewable.

            Complaint No. 428R0020 dated 29th April 2010 was registered with the service center telephonically regarding replacement of door bottle tray for Refrigerator Model GR-M53UDA-IND.

            It was told that the same shall be replaced within 3 days. But,tray was sent after 15 days i.e. on 14th May 2010 that too for some other model which could not fit.

            Service Center still not confirming when they will be able to get the required part which is causing us lot of problems. Other trays are also getting crackedone by one within a yar and half.

              I submitted my laptop at service centre (Toshiba service by HCL Touch, Delhi Gigicare (Green Park), S-10, Green park entn (near Uphar theatre, new Delhi for repairing under extended waranty. Jobsheet no. [protected] dated 20/2/10. Expected return date was 23/2/10. Till today it has not been repaired. When I contacted Ms Rupam Borah on[protected], to whom I have handed over my laptop, she always to conct mr Dinesh. Mr Dinesh, service centre incharge never lift the phone call & give the responce. I tried several times on his mob no. [protected]. Ist time, he told me to call after 5 min. After that he never lisft the phone.

              After that I tried to contact toshiba customer care on [protected]. Toshiba C C centre says to contact HCL touch as they are providing the service to shiba laptops. I have also conctacted HCL C C centre on [protected] who in turn asked me to contact on[protected] / or Mr Dinesh, who never picks my cal. I have also sent several e-mails to hcltouch.[protected]@hcl.in, who also asked me to contact Mr Dinesh /[protected].

              Meanwhile, my waranty also expired after one month. Now, hcl touch is ready to handover my laptop as waranty is expired.

              Interestingly, there is a clause (terms & conditions) in the back side of jobsheet, which says that "custome must take delivery of the product within 10 days from the delivery date intimated by HCL regardless whether the product has been repaired or not"

              It looks very funny. Big companies like thoshiba / HCL are cheeting the customers openly. Toshiba has washed their hands by giving servicing to HCL. HCL says to conct Mr Dinesh, who never lift the phone call.

              Whether can we do any thing against these big companies> I request you to do take some action so that it is not repetaed next time.

                By the above mentioned details I hope that there will not be any trouble to understand how many times your branded laptop went to service centre for repairs and the spare parts have been replaced.

                It was my great believe that I would be able to work at least five years without having any trouble by Toshiba Laptop after having the deep market survey I came in to this believe or confidence and rejecting other branded laptop I purchased this model and the time of purchase the dealer didn’t say that this model has mother board problem in power section which I came to know later from the service engineer of RT Outsourcing.

                Now I let you know last time i.e. 03/11/2008 when keyboard replaced by HCL Hanger ford street here in Kolkata I informed to the service engineer that mother board is overheating but after checking they said it is perfectly ok, ignoring my request to take proper step about the mother board which is most important spare parts to run the notebook and surprisingly after few months my suspect found correct that the mother board is defective and the POWER SECTION is not working.

                You may find out form your call log that few months back I took the Toshiba technical help explaining the problem and I was directed to check certain points and cleaning and o. s. corruption etc. when overheating and restart problem was very frequently occurred.

                Now last one month back my notebook has stopped working it never stand more than half an hour and there is lots of valuable data of my personal and official works which I could not take back up and I am seating ideally after calling several time every person of your department like, Mr. Rajesh, Ms./Mrs. Anu, Mr. Pradip assured me that the matter has been escalated to the higher authority to solve the problem and in this regard I have send twice the same mail but no answer has been received and Mr. Pradip told me on 21/10/2009 with in 48 hrs. You will know the answer by mail reply.
                Now TIPL:OL:101109-6 by this call id I went to RT Outsourcing and their engineer checked and there opening is mother board is defective and in M-200 model have this kind of mother power section defect found in several cases which they have worked on it.

                Now my question is to you “DOES TOSHIBA LAPTOP IS WORKABLE ONLY ONE YEAR UPTO THE WARRENTY PERIOD”? Or this brand is not dependable after investing lot of money comprising other cheaper notebooks of different brands?
                You better understand how I am passing my days with anxiety with pain and agony being a middle class person I can’t invest anything as because till my bank loan is not yet repaid! If you don’t take care as a special case or consideration then tell me what should I do?

                  Dear Sir,
                  I purchase a toshiba laptop modal 6310 sr no x8119743k as on dated 21st march 2009, from LAPCOM computer and peripherals shop no 106 bajaj house 97 nehru place new delhi. Now i face many problems with this laptop . I went to the service centre for laptop service as on date 10th march 2010.my case id is this TIPL:OL:030410:37 . i am not satisfied with your service centre service . I visited on your Gurgaon service centre place in sec 14 gurgaon . I am also not satisfied with the service centre engineer also . When i visited the service centre i give my laptop in working condition and physically ok but i took my laptop back it not working and not physically ok . they broke my laptop from left side (front face ).Then i complain for this they are not agree for this . I also want to com plane for the behavior of engineers .they have no manner for how to talk with the customer and the have not good experience for how to repair laptop ,please take a suitable stap for this .I have face battery backup and mouse issue with the laptop. Please take a action againest this .sir please call me and suggest me .

                  I HAD TROUBLE WITH MY LAPTOP SERIAL NUMBER 8A521552Q & I CALLED YOUR TECH SUPPORT & THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM THAT THEY WILL CONNECT ME TO ANOTHER TECH SUPPORT & IT WILL COST ME $ 169.99 FOR THEM TO CLEAN IT U P. I BELEIVED THEM & I SAID GO AHEAD & FIX THE PROBLEM. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE PAID THAT IT WAS IN MY WARRANTY. I BOUGHT THE LAPTOP NOV. 3 .                     I have a Toshiba Satellite L310-D4011, PSMEG6-00E002 laptop.
                    It's serial number is: 98163959W.
                    It's harddisk was 250 GB, but after my laptop was repaired from
                    Toshiba HCL service center at sector 2, Noida. it's harddisk is only
                    120 GB. They have removed harddisk without informing me. This is
                    torture to me , I need 250 GB harddisk. Please return my harddisk to
                    me and take appropriate action against the fraud.

                      i had purchased Toshiba Laptop of,from ,Antwerp(Europe),in the month Aug'09 of,

                      Serial Num: 59146327K

                      I heard very good about Toshiba services from my friends and decided to go for a Toshiba laptop.Unfortunately the adapter stopped working after a few months and i have placed an order for replacement of adapter at HCL INFOSYSTEMS LTD,Hyderbad on 22/01/2010(scanned copy of job order attached).HCL people had given a time span of 30-45 days for the part to be delivered.Till date the part has not been delivered and i was told to contact concerned person Mr.Rakesh on his mobile [protected],which i did and got no response. When am trying to call him from my number he is not responding and later switching off his mobile.
                      I am very unhappy with the response i have got and am totally unsatisfied with the service. Its been 2 months since i haven't turned on my laptop and i have great concern over the important data in it.
                      So i request your kind selves to look after this as a serious aspect.

                      Toshiba - Laptop — No proper response

                      Dear Sir / Madam,

                      In the Month of April I bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite, from Aditi computer, yelahanka, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. After One month, the computer’s Screen started skipping, I miss placed my bill while relocating to Hubli, I taken it to Aditi computers, first he collected laptop, and kept with him for more then 3 month, started giving reasons, finally he said he cant do any thing, there are problems with Toshiba product, and returned it, now its completely dead … I have sent mails to Toshiba service center, Bangalore, Till now No response. Can u help me out Pl………….

                      Should I throw it to Kabadi guy…………if I won’t get proper response (recompense), Even I start scattering about Toshiba quality ….

                          10 Days!! Still awaiting reply / action !

                          Is this the way a world renowned professional company like TOSHIBA deals with its customer's!

                          IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA & you are proving it right!

                          Dear Toshiba,

                          Kindly go thru the following:

                          After comparing Sony, Samsung & Toshiba, I bought TOSHIBA REGZA 32AV600E 32 Inch LCD TV & the same was installed at my place in Dec.2009.

                          Since its installation on the very first day, I noticed that its resolution was not good. I adjusted its backlight, contrast, brightness etc. but of no use. Whatever adjustments I made, the picture quality was never improved. It had following problems:

                          1. The picture quality is very dull. Even with full contrast / brightness

                          2. The image is disported.

                          3. One feels strain while watching program. It's like moving images leave a trail behind them.

                          4 Colors feels like they bleed .

                          5. It feels like the screen is very dirty or if you are watching a very low quality pirated DVD or program.

                          6. It use to switch off automatically, without timer & later switched off permanently.

                          I had bought the TV from Mr. Sanjay Thapar of M/s Sanjay Enterprises Mumbai, which he had purchased from M/s Vijay Sales, Mumbai. After receiving the same I noticed that there was no protective seal on the screen & on the panel. The screen looked like that it had been wiped / cleaned with a cloth. Moreover it had few scratches on lower portion of the panel & deep scratches on the bottom of the panel where the TV stand is inserted, clearly showing the same has been used. Even the serial No. on the warranty card provided didn't match with the serial No. printed on the TV. There was no doubt that it was a used TV & the same was cleaned, repacked & dispatched to me.

                          I reported the matter to Mr. Sanjay & he, being a friend assured me that the TV is new, I accepted it on good faith. It was only when it started giving trouble of switching off during the program, I forwarded the complaint & was attended by Engineer Mr. Mahipal from Toshiba Chandigarh & Mr. Rattan (Service Centre incharge, Toshiba, North India) on 21-02-10.

                          Mr. Rattan, from Toshiba service centre (which I didn't knew earlier) took the lead of attending the complaint & do the talking. I thought if he is the engineer from Toshiba, Chandigarh. After lots of listening / talking & the adjustment done by other person Mr. Mahipal (engineer from Toshiba) whom he never introduce, it was declared thet the LCD TV's reception is like this only. I was shocked to hear that. We have Samsung LCD in our family & its performance is far far better than Toshiba. Still, I played a genuine DVD for there viewing so that they could see & compare the quality but of no use. When I asked him that even simple flat CRT TV has very good performance in comparison to Toshiba LCD, he said it is due to the single picture tube they carry (very strange answer). Any how, when I played the same DVD on my Flat Slim CRT TV, the picture quality was very lively & brilliant. Again I asked Mr. Rattan about the comparison & he repeated the same answer that performance of CRT Flat TV (aspect ratio 4:3, 480p) is far better than LCD TV (aspect ratio 16:9, 1080p). Then why people buy LCD TV's. This time I sincerely doubted his capability & asked him if he really is the engineer from Toshiba & then only I was told that he is the service center incharge & other person Mr. Mahipal is the one from Toshiba.

                          Finally Mr. Rattan gave his verdict with utmost authority that there is no problem with the TV & every TV brand has its own set of performance & of Toshiba LCD TV is like this only. I couldn't bear any more. I simply thanked them for there kind visit & felt sorry that I bothered them. Actually I had forgot that I am still living in India & here if some thing is sold to you it's done, HAVE IT or LEAVE IT. Anyhow, before leaving as Mr. Mahipal was filling some complaint report, I asked him for his views as he was the engineer & had kept quite since, he admitted that there is definitely a problem with the TV's contrast & brightness & would forward the complaint to higher authorities. Mr. Rattan face was plain & he had no answer to Mr. Mahipal's observations. It was looking like Mr.Rattan had come merely to attend the complaint as a formality & nothing else. He never let the Engineer Mr. Mahipal speak. Mr.Mahipal was sitting like a mute spectator fumbling with the remote. That's all.

                          After Filling the form he asked me to sign it along with the any views which I like to put in. He told me that one copy he'll forward to the concern authorities, one copy is for me & 3rd copy is for there record. I put the remarks & signed it. 4-5 minutes after they left, I rembered that they never provided me the complaint copy. I called Mr. Rattan for the same but was told that complaintent doesn't need to have the copy & all the copies are for the Toshiba people only. Very contradictory answer!

                          Any how, I was disappointed earlier also but never thought of writing / complaining, but this time I am highly disappointed after the visit of the designated people from Toshiba. It feels like if I had purchased some cheap Chinese toy from the road side vendor & went complaing after few days.

                          I DEFINITELY FEEL CHEATED.

                          Toshiba 32" LCD TV — Non-compliance of Guarantee

                          I, Prashant Gupta, R/O B-2/43D, Lawrence Road, Near Keshavpuram Police Station, New Delhi-110035 purchased a LCD TV Model 32AV500 on 8/12/08 for Rs 36,500/- from M/s Better Deals, B-3, B-1 Block Community Centre, Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058 vide Book No. 245 Serial No. 12231 dated 19.10.2008.

                          The front panel of the said LCD TV developed a black spot (at right hand bottom side) in the month of August 2009. On 17.08.2009, I lodged a complaint on phone at Toshiba service centre (telephone no. [protected], [protected]). The complaint number given to me was 0817020. After 2-3 reminders, 6-7 days of the complaint a service engineer from your side approached us and checked the LCD TV by pressing the black spot on the front panel of the LCD TV. He told us that there is some technical problem in the LCD TV and he will have to come again to take some photograph of the same and send to his seniors. He again approached us in 2 to 3 days and disassembled the LCD TV and took photograph of the front panel from inside. 2 to 3 days later he again approached us and told that he needs some more photographs and again disassembled the LCD TV and took photographs and went back. He told that it will take a week for them to get the front panel replaced.

                          In September 2009, when I called the service centre I was told to contact Mr. Govindan at Mumbai (telephone no. [protected]) for further enquiry. When I called Mr. Govindan he told that the front panel is on its way from Singapore from DHL courier and the same shall be replaced within 3-4 days which never happened. In the meanwhile another back spot appeared besides the earlier one. I again contacted Mr. Govindan and I was given another date.

                          Later one day I received a call from the service centre that as per the report from Singapore the front panel cannot be replaced since it is physically damaged and I was told to talk to Mr. Govindan for further queries, if any. When I contacted Mr. Govindan he narrated the same.

                          This is to be noted that the LCD TV is placed very safely in our apartment. There is no physical damage mark on the front panel. No one, other than your service engineer, has ever disassembled the LCD TV. There are no children in our house who can damage the LCD TV. Hence, there is no question of the LCD TV (front panel) getting physically damaged. I never expected such an irresponsible attitude from a company of such repute.

                          I request the consumer forum to kindly takeup the matter and get the front panel of the LCD TV replaced.

                          After using it for 10 months, it developed white vertical lines across the screen which is also spoiling my eyes..When i complained, I was told that over & above the service charges no extra charges will be applicable for the spares.Accordingly, person was sent to see the T.V. receipt no.& date.During the visit he again spoke to his senior & reconfirmed with his senior on the phone that the parts won't be charged.Subsequently, another engineer was sent who told the parts would be charged as against the previous statements made by the service engineers who had told that if you produce the bill you will not be charged because of which I ran around for the duplicate bill for a week.But, later on, I was informed the part itself(ie. the display panel unit) which had got spoilt is not available in the market at present.I was given an alternative solution- would I be ready to accept a 70% cash-back policy against the defective piece since the model got spoilt within a year! Since it obviously has manufacturing defects, as it developed problems within 1 year, which is not expected of a product of a reputed company like yours, I expect at least a 75-80% cash-back valuation.In these times of inflation, it will be clearly difficult/impossible to get a new T.V. at the valuation being provided to me.Please consider this.Expecting a reply soon with reference to this & immediate action to be taken in this regard.

                          I had purchased Toshiba LCD Model 32PB21ZE from Vijay Sales, Mira Road (E), Dist : Thane, in March 2012, the TV was working alright except poor picture quality, blur image, etc. Last week I switched on the set and was astonished to find that there is no picture coming on the screen but only few lines (like cracks) appearing from inside. I informed their call centre and they sent their technician from the franchisee who is handling the area. He opened the set and again took some pictures and went away saying that they will be calling me within couple of days and inform about further action. I got a call after two days saying that the part to be replaced is chargeable, i.e. the panel is damaged and it will cost the same as the cost of new TV set. Even though the TV is under three years warranty and now it is only one year. The technicians and franchicee expressed their helplessness in replacing the panel. I bought the same for about Rs.25000/- (approx.) and now within a year it is showing internal damage and the service centre (which is all outsourced to private players) wants to mint money for their mistake. Last week I got a call from Manpreet (Rajouri garden)– he said that it will be resolved ASAP, but till date the issue in same position.

                          Dear All,

                          I have purchased Toshiba LED 39 inch on May 2nd and product was bad out of box having 4 cloud like spots on it. Toshiba rep has visited home for verification and accepted the same fault and took pictures of TV. I have communicated same to Toshiba support taking picture explaining same. Toshiba communicated they will send another technical person to look at problem. For twenty days no response from Toshiba or it dealer to support the matter. On 21 day I have received a call from a person calming Toshiba courier want to visit home to deliver home but no mention of details like time etc. I called Bangalore Toshiba service to know more details about courier and representative told they will come back with full details and never came back and TV was not delivered, I try contacting Toshiba support in Bangalore after two days but proper response expect we will you call you back While this episode continue one month past without any proactive help from Toshiba.

                          I have written a mail to head office after a month explaining whole story and received a call telling they will upgrade with better model without any extra fee and model shown to me was much inferior to which I have bought and I politely rejected the offer.

                          Toshiba trying to fool the customer and don't even care to talk to customer immediately when the problem arises unless you escalate to main office. But regardless they don't fix the issue and try to manage the customer to make his mouth shut.

                          I have a feeling all failed LED are thrown at our country.

                          Bottom line, don't trust their 3 warranty and don't waste your time. This is just mental torture for a month spending on phone and emails. This is horrible service and don't trust Toshiba in India as Internationally they may be good due to respective country policies. I am just waiting for refund from vendor (snapdeal ) as vendor promised to process refund as per their policies.

                          Toshiba, though the brand is good but I think the Management is not professional & Customer friendly. Even I bought the LCD TV " Toshiba Regza 32pbie model " & to my suprise the TV went out of order only after 3 & 1/2 yrs but inspite of so many follow-ups the management is deaf & do not want to sort out my problem. Frankly speaking I got a high regards & trust for Japanese Product & the country.But I think the present Toshiba is worst in quality & after sales service as they feel that customers are fools & so they do not want to pay any heed to customers complaint's & their problems. As I have also registered my complaint to your site i.e "Consumer Complaints" but even here no help. Today I really feel ditched and feel sorry that I have purchased such a worst brand like "Toshiba" paying more money for such a brand even the local brand goes well for 10-15 yrs without any complaints.

                          Sir, was this issue resolved? Its a pity the Government is not using Goods and Consumer act and is not taking these manufactures seriously.

                          The manufacturers are manufacturing faulty design led tv's which are fragile and the internal screeen can be damaged very easily. The technician advised the internal screen could be damaged with a piece of rubber or even a pen.

                          And then the manufacturer fleece the customers to pay 80% of the product (Cost Internal Screen/Panel) to replace internal display!!!???

                          This is definitely cheating!!

                          Don't remember the earlier TV's having these issues. This issue is common with lakhs of customers fallen pray to this issue called "Internal Panel Cracked and hence is a Physical Damage" its all over the internet.

                          Why would anyone damage their brand new full hd led tv's, the one bought with hard earned money!?

                          Hope someone moves court against such manufactures. CAnt fool and take your customers for a ride.

                          laptop problem not resolve to request for replacement of laptop

                          since i bought laptop i am facing problem. i had made complains for problem. thay change parts but still problem is not resolve so i had reqest them to change laptop. but since last 1 month there is on reply. so kindly suggest what to do
                          I have registered a complaint with Toshiba LED having reference number SR8H0045782 one week back for the noise in LED. LED is under warranty however not getting any positive response. Although I have reminded them twice. This is the worst kind of support I have ever seen from such type of brand.

                          I will recommend, never to go for Toshiba if they are not customer supportive.
                          Do not be fooled by their warranty and TV quality is bad

                            I am from chennai. I have purchased a toshiba laptop a year back and the warranty was already over. I got some problem in laptop and it was not working. I gave it for service in TVS-E servicetec in chennai which is a authorised service centre of Toshiba. They fixed the problem by changing the inverter, but also they created some new problems to my lap top and now the speakers are not working and wi-fi button also broken. When I asked about it to them Mr. Thyagu from TVSE tec was answering as this problem was already there in your laptop and we didn't did anything. And also he told that we cannot rectify the problem and it will takes too costly and i have to give for another service.

                            Kindly let me know how to handle this issue?

                              I have a Toshiba Satellite M100 series laptop. The laptop had some problem and it was under AMC(Annual Maintenance Contract) under HCl. I was told initially its a minor problem. Two months down the line I was told its a motherboard problem and now I am being told by the HCL service center at Chandigarh that the motherboard needs replacement and is not available and they will get it from Singapore. HCl service center never updates me. For the past 6 months I have been calling them regarding the status, but no progress so far.
                              I had dropped a mail to Toshiba but they say its HCL who does the service. I do not know who to ask for help HCL, Toshiba or just kepp calling the HCL service center which is least borthered about all this probelm I am facing.

                                    the first screen is the TOSHIBA main screen then the damn thang says error insert the hard disc but the thing is, is that the disc is already in the GOD DAMN computer. Now what is up with that?

                                    i totally agree with how u feel about this situation. ithink the whole company can those damn things and shove them right up thier and rotate on them. i really wish they would go out of business. then they can go to hell for all i care thats how pissed i am about thier customer service.
                                    I have got this A305 S6864 laptop and this crap didn't even last for 2 years. I have tried installing xp and ubuntu nothing has worked so far, keep shutting down and starting on its own and I am damn sure this is not happening due to heat because I checked cpu temprature which is 57 C. Now I think I will have to install Unix on it, if that doesn't help me I would definately throw this crap out of my window...

                                      I have purchased a Toshiba Refrigerator Model number GR-M42-UDV IND TS. when Toshiba Co's DEMO Representative person removed the Refrigerator from sealed pack carton at my Residence. We found that ICE TRAY is broken and front door is damage. The DEMO Representative and I have informed about this to dealer Fairdeal at Ashoka Shopping Center near Crowford Market in Mumbai and also at company's Customer Service Center on their landline number[protected]/04. They have taken Complaint for it.complaint no is 14Z905F010 dated 04/09/09. AT MUMBAI.They have told that Engg will come to your place and they will replace the damage door & broken ice tray. But till now no one has visited my place and noting has been done the complaint is still pending.

                                      Please do the needful at the earliest & a reply would be appreciated.

                                        I have purchased Laptop from Toshiba. One day it started to ask me power on password.
                                        I had never stored such passwords. I was confused I tried online to get some help about this error message. I found out that it is a known problem from Toshiba and they are mentioning on there website that it will be fixed by them without any charge.

                                        I called to Toshiba help number and I was told that it is known problem to Toshiba and I should take my laptop to service center and it will be fixed without charge.

                                        On the website it is mentioned :

                                        After talking to the Toshiba support center guy at call center, I took my laptop to Toshiba authorized service center in Pune which is outsourced to HCL at :

                                        I submitted my laptop to them, after one week they said that the mother board is not fine so I need to pay them 10 thousand rupees to fix it. I told to them that it is a known problem to Toshiba and they are promising to fix it. I gave them the link. They said they have forwarded that to Toshiba and never called me for two months. I was frustrated I contacted to the Toshiba call center they said they cannot help me. They gave me one email id and said that I can email him about that.

                                        I emailed to that guy about my problem. After 1 month he said he is going to arrange the part to hcl and I will get it within 15 days. I waited for one month and again contacted
                                        Toshiba/hcl and no one replied to me.


                                        Again I went to hcl center and said them that part is send to you why are you not giving my laptop to me after fixing one small problem. He said it cannot be done as
                                        Part is not with them. By me calling them several times I was told that the part is with them in there warehouse and they did not know about it.

                                        I was told within one day I will get my laptop. After one month I again called to them and said give me my laptop. I got reply that come and collect your laptop.

                                        When I went there I was told all the settings and data need to be removed from hard disk to install all the settings once again. I was desperate to get the laptop back I allowed them to format my laptop and install all the things.

                                        After some time they said we need time to install it again come back tomorrow? They started to install and didn’t call me again. After 15 days I called them and asked about my laptop they said your installation disk is not fine you need to buy it and you will be charged for it.

                                        I had never used that installation cd so I was sure that the cd is fine. I said them the same they said ok we will give you call tomorrow come and collect your laptop as the person who is taking care of your laptop is on leave and will be coming back after 15 days. I said I will not collect my nonworking laptop I want it to work properly.

                                        After 15 days again I called them then the guy said your installation discs are fine now your hard disk is not working.

                                        Every time I was calling to them telling that I will go to consumer forum and lodge a complain against you. They were shouting at me as if I was the criminal who did a blunder of buying the laptop from Toshiba. I was always harassed by them telling nothing will happen to them even if I will go to the consume forum as cases like this will never be resolved. They also said if you will goto consumer forum you will not get even the current laptop too for so many years.

                                        I have been asked to visit HCL by Toshiba again and again without delivering the laptop they just kept me waiting outside the office.

                                        I want now

                                        1. Sue HCL/Toshiba for harassing me so much. I am treated like dog and donkey by all the Call center people and support staff of HCL I don’t deserve that.
                                        2. Due to this harassment I am having too much tension; I am a software engineer 7 months without laptop I am not able to study at home. I have got some bad feedback due to my lack in latest updates on technology and I am lagging in my career. I have got bad rating for not clearing some tests and certifications, with my laptop in hand. I might have cleared those tests/certifications and have got good promotion and salary hikes. Overall I have lost close to 3 lack rupees due to no promotion and hike in salaries till date. I want them to compensate part of it to me.
                                        3. I don’t want now the laptop from Toshiba but I want the compensation for it. I have not used the laptop for more time due to its promised performance. I want to get new laptop or the money for buying the same configuration. I don’t trust now the HCL/TOSHIBA I think they might have changed and broken parts of it which will make laptop to work not so long. I have myself seen the condition of laptop it looks so dirty due to bad storage and even some of the keyboard keys are broken.
                                        4. I want the compensation to the harassment they have done to me in traveling from my home in wakad,pune to other end of HCL office unnecessary

                                        I have got constant shouting from Toshiba/Hcl about service that I deserve. I have always been told in very high pitch that I will not get anything if I will goto consume forum. Please help me out with my ongoing pain which is just making me think helpless and I am developing very much acute pain in my chest with this much big open cheating got me.

                                        I have tried my best to be polite but I am human being and I don’t deserve such unnecessary treatment from them.
