Subject: Defective replacement for remote

Mr. Mayank Agarwal,

As per our discussion today, I am sending you this email and looking forward for free replacement of the defective remote.

I bought the LCD on 27 Jan'2012 with 3 years warranty. Model number 32PB2. The remote was not working properly from day 1. I had to press the buttons quite a few times and I also tried at different angles as I thought it must be an issue with panel.

I brought this into the notice of the technician sent from your service centre. I asked if it is an issue with tv panel that its not receiving signals properly. He waived it off casually stating that its a new remote and the buttons are tight. Panel is absolutely fine, its just the remote but its not bad. It will start working better after few days.

It never happened and situation got worse but as long as it was working with some effort, I didn't complain. It use to work sometimes and sometimes it doesn't so I couldn't prove it thus I didn't call. Finally it stopped working completely a week ago.

I called and logged a complaint 2 days ago for replacement. Complaint number[protected]. The same technician came and he said that the remote is defective so it needs to be replaced. I asked him about warranty then he said its only 15 days so it will cost Rs 900. The remote is not damaged from anywhere physically, it was a manufacturer defect. I tried to reason with him and asked him why he didn't check it at the time of installation when I pointed this thing then he tried to forge me stating that if I want he can get me an original remote in just Rs 700 internally. Its a forgery thus I refused. I called service centre and later part of story, you are already aware of that.

I want a quick and clear response as I asked you in our conversation as in case if free replacement refused then I will be using at as legal document in my case.

    I have bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop c600 on September 8th 2011 and Iam having a warranty of 6 months left.Before three days a small hinging was seen on the left side of my laptop near the left speaker,above the power cord connection port.I registered a complaint in Toshiba and took it to a Toshiba service center at Coimbatore named Redignton India Limited Coimbatore,they told they will check and call me.After one day they called me and told that your laptop base cover is broken and it does not cover under warranty because its Toshibas policy.I went to the center and asked them for clarifications but they where not ready for anything and still telling the same that it will not cover under warranty.At last i asked him to open the laptop and show the broken part;he opened the laptop and the broken part was not the base cover but the thread which stands as an holder for the lid which was n the base cover.That nail thread is so small so that it has just to or three turns,and its is not broken at suddenly but gradually day by day because when he opened for showing it to me at that instance another small piece came out.But he updated in the Toshiba website as base cover broken.I asked him that the thread is only broken then why have you given as base cover broken and he told that the thread and base cover is moulded so its an physical damage.For real I highly recommend everyone that dont buy a Toshiba laptops form INDIA because the build quality is so poor.And also the complaint which I have had is a common complaint and there is videos in youtube claiming the same problem.Please take actions against this company ASAP.

      i purchased LED from SAB COMUTECH PVT LTD ,hari nagar,jail road. screches on panel. but no body take the action . and at last seniour person also not picking up the call . it's bad service .do not purchased any thing from sab computech.they will say also we will provide every product less than market price.and toshiba customer care also saying they can not help. so it's my advice to every body do not take the toshiba LED.BAD service.i[censored] call to toshiba customer care they will come giving the response but no change nothing they will do.


      It's my bad experience not with me some of my friends also

      please DO NOT TAKE LED FROM SAB COMUTECH PVT LTD .

        Sir/Madam
        I have sent seven mails (to Mr. Shiva Kumar, Mr. Gaurav Dhawan and Mr. Pramesh Bhatia in addition to the company mail id) and innumerable number of calls in respect of a new defective laptop, but these shallow officers have not exhibited any courtesy to acknowledge the same or direct their subalterns to initiate some action.
        The complaint number[protected] registered by me on 21/03/2012 was rejected by the service department owing to the reasons best known to the unprofessional, unethical, arrogant,boorish and abject department. Prior to that Mr. Anshu from InTarvo Toshiba had checked the laptop and declared defects in the same. I fail to understand why the engineer verbally accepted the major faults in the laptop but did not write the same on the service report.
        I am unable to use the machine because of the incompetent and boorish service department of Toshiba. The way the customer care representative humiliated me on 21/03/2012 reflects the above mentioned attitudes of Toshiba India. The higher officials (Mr. Pramesh Bhatia) did not even care to check the recorded conversation to authenticate my version, which shows the ill intentions of the company.
        I request any higher authority of TOSHIBA (if it exists), to ponder analytically "why should I have relations with such a cruel and tyrant company, who not only humiliates a grieving customer with alacrity but throws him/her into oblivion".

        Sir, Just post it through social media and wait and watch game, i too have issues with new LED fault TV, going through same experience from one month. These people are shame place, just waiting to eat our money, just shame. This happens only India.

          I bought a Toshiba LCD TV on 12, December 2011. Since I have purchased I tried to connect my Home theater system in it but Its plug-in is not working properly. Its very regret that all of the toll free customer care numbers even paid numbers are not working. I have called regularly but still I have failed to contact any person.

            Sir,

            I bought Toshiba 32LCD PB21 this Sunday (11 March 2012) only from Sargam Electronics, Model Town, Delhi.

            As per the specifications mentioned in various websites, information that i got from your customer care as well as the information given by the shop (Sargam Electronics), PB21 supports external hard disk. But when we checked it at our end it is not supporting hard disk. Then we contacted the service centre (Rajouri Garden) and they also told us that this model supports hard disk. The engineer came to our site along with his own hard disk and still it was not working. I was in talks with your service centre people (Mr. Harish, [protected] & Mr. Arvind).

            Now they are saying that I need to contact the dealer for the same issue and when I contacted Sargam Electronics then they said to lodge a complaint with Toshiba. Sir, my intention of buying this model was only the hard disk support and its not my duty to run after the dealer or the company for such issues.

            Please check this matter and resolve the same. Looking forward to the resolvement of this issue otherwise refund the money so that i can buy some other brand that supports hard disk. And I want the three years warranty from the date of the of when this issue gets resolved. Please do the needful otherwise I have to go to the consumer court.

              I WOULD SUGGEST TO EVERYONE NEVER BUY TOSHIBA REGZA LED TVS. BEFORE BUYING I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH TOSHIBA WITH MY LAPTOP BUT AFTER BUYING LED TV..I WAS SHOCKED SEEING THAT BASIC FEATURES ARE NOT THERE IN THIS KIND OF LATEST TV.
              1. IF YOU WANT TO ATTACH A 2.1 OR 5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM WITHOUT REMOTE YOU CAN NOT CONTROL SOUND FROM YOUR TV REMOTE
              2. WHILE PLAYING MEDIA PLAYER IN THIS TV YOU CAN NOT CONTROL PICTURE COLOUR OR BRIGHTNESS.
              3. THERE IS NO HEADPHONE JACK IN THIS TV WHICH IS A VERY VERY COMMON FEATURE

                i had purchased toshiba satellite c640 before 6 months with great excitement and happy . i have suggested this model to all of my friends. after 4 months itself the mouse touchpad damaged.Now my laptop is not booting as well as it cant able to run repair software. my belief towards toshiba satellite gone .please help me.i contacted the customer care over here. they informed me that cant provide the on site service my laptop is having model name C640-I4010,serial no:6B051080Q,model no:psc2ug-007001.now my keypad is not also working.

                  To whom it may concern:

                  Hello, my name is daffanie buras, and i puchased a brand new toshiba laptop as well as the extended warranty package about 6 months ago. After owning this product for 5 months it decided to overheat after being plugged in over night to charge. I discovered the problem the next morning when i went to use my computer. The computer itself was hot to the touch and when i went to open it i discovered that the screen was cracked. Much to my dispair i was lucky that my house didn't burn down. I immediately called your customer support center, which by the way was a difficult challenge because the person i initially spoke with could not speak english very well. After about an hour of going back and forth with the "customer service rep" the arrangements were made to ship my computer for the repairs. The next incident occurred about 2 weeks into toshiba having my computer, which has been a huge inconvience to me due to the fact that my computer is used for my job, i received a phone call from claudia, who by the way needs a lesson in how to speak to customers, stating that the problem couldn't be duplicated and that my computer would no be fixed unless i paid for the repairs??? I asked to speak to her superior, not only did she refuse to let me talk to anyone higher up, but it was basically put to me that i would be stuck with this piece of product! Not only am i highly upset that toshiba does not stand by the products that they manufacture, the employees are horrific as well. As a consumer, i want to thank you for one of the most worst experiences. I will never purchase anything with the name toshiba or anything affiliated with toshiba. I will file a formal complaint online and warn people about what can happen to them prior to purchasing toshiba products.

                    Dear Sir,
                    This is to bring to your notice the corollary of issues haunting my life ever since the purchase of a Toshiba laptop. Please be patient enough to go through this mail and help me out in this case.
                    I purchased Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV5 Laptop bearing Serial#XA632514K from Amazon on 24th December 2010 paying USD 1069. Before I could start using the new gadget, this laptop has started giving the trouble of intermittent screen flickering.
                    Since the frequency of failure became close day by day, I registered a trouble-ticket#[protected] with Toshiba Care India on 18th April 2011. This case was attended Interavanco, Chennai and the issue was identified as a Software issue and laptop was returned after reinstallation. But issue persisted since the first day itself and I had to visit them thrice within a month reopening this trouble-ticket. Finally they washed off their hands telling this model is very new and unaware how to solve.
                    Without able to use the laptop, I logged a ticket#[protected] again on 20th July 2011 when I was in my hometown, Kottayam. They again reinstalled the software and returned without any proper analysis. Had to re-open this ticket again, they replaced complete Motherboard and returned. No improvement and hence referred to Cochin service center. In Cochin service center, LED screen was also replaced. Even after a total of 4-5 visits, still issue persisted.
                    Without knowing what to do or how to escalate this issue, approached Bangalore service center logging a trouble ticket#[protected] on 12th November 2011. Again same software updates and issue persists. They closed ticket without resolving the issue and intimating me.
                    Again for same issue, I logged another ticket#[protected] on 2 December 2011 in Bangalore service centre. They forward laptop to Delhi, stating that they are not to repair it. Its more than one month now, since laptop is at service centre.


                    In brief, I registered total 4 trouble-tickets for the same issue.
                    • #[protected] at Chennai on 18th April 2011 and returned laptop on 9th may 2011 (updated software and bios ). Issue continued.
                    • #[protected] at Kottayam on 20th july 2011 and returned laptop on 7th October 2011 (Motherboard and LCD replaced). Issue not solved.
                    • #[protected] at Bangalore on 12th November 2011 and returned on 26th November 2011 ( software update and checked graphics card). Same issue continued.
                    • #[protected] at Bangalore, on 2nd December 2011 and still laptop is in service centre.
                    All together laptop is been service centre for more than 150 days within one year of warranty period without solving the issue.

                    Please note that after spending USD1069 on a laptop, I couldn’t use it at least for a month comfortably. And I would have spent lot of my valuable time and money visiting Toshiba service centers across South India. Warranty got expired on 24th December 2011 and I’m and I’m deeply upset without knowing what to do

                    After spending USD1069 on a laptop(international warranty covers), I couldn’t use it at least for a month comfortably.Within 1 year, laptop is been in service centre for more than 152 days. And I would have spent lot of my valuable time and money visiting Toshiba service centers across South India. Warranty got expired on 24th December 2011, still laptop is at service centre.
                    considering productivity loss, time and money, i need replacement of laptop or similar compensation.

                      I had purchased a Toshiba LCD 32PB 10ZE from M/s Paras Traders (Chd), SCF 75, Sector 32/C, Chandigarh (Ph[protected] on November 05, 2011 vide Invoice No. 755 dated 05.11.2011. On purchase of LCD, he had committed that he'll give a TOSHIBA CD RADIO later as a gift and also shown in the invoice at Sr. No. 2 but till date he has not given the TOSHIBA CD RADIO and now he is saying that it is wrongly mentioned in the bill. As a global / reputed Company, it is TOSHIBA'S duty to provide me the TOSHIBA CD RADIO as a gift or take up the matter with the firm for delivery of the same. Your reply in this matter is highly appreciated.

                        From reputed computer dealer Landmark infonet Pvt limited Gurgaon on dated 11 Oct 10 .
                        Dealer show me catalog & convince for One year International & 3 year Domestic Warranty in above mention modal
                        Last week face trouble in laptop so I contact in Toshiba customer care on [protected].He advice for contact at service station In Intarvo Technology limited Shop no 12, 13, 14 First floor Ganpati complex old Delhi Gurgaon road, opposite Payal cinema Gurgaon, 122001.Service center Verify the system & concern to Toshiba office he refuse to do work because as per him system is not covering warranty more than one year. I show him document & catalog to him as evidence but he told me I am helpless. Service center again advice to me for contact to dealer. Toady I discussed with dealer but he also unable to do any thing & not give proper explanation of reason.
                        As per above statement I am thinking I chited or Froude by either dealer Landmark infonet Pvt limited or Toshiba company.
                        Pl suggests & helps me for further course of action so we get repair my laptop under warranty case.

                          I had given my Toshiba Laptop, model no.: Satellite m300 to Redington Service Center, Dehradun on 14/11/11 for a start up problem. i was given commitments by the people there to come and take my laptop but whenever i went to collect it, they said it is out of station. i have wasted my time n service thrice and still counting and still no sign of my laptop. even after saying that i just want my machine now even if its not repaired but still they are paying no attention. Never ever give but any toshiba laptop.

Since beginning the machine is absolutely in pathetic condition which hampers our work. In this regards we have given many complaints to you. But unfortunately no one responded at your end to resolve these problems even though frequent complaints. We never expected that a renowned company like to you provides the worst customer service. To see your bad customer support, we strongly felt that we have purchased from a wrong company.

                              My Name is Pankaj Kumar. I purchased a Toshiba LCD TV on 24th November. I had raised a complaint of 32" LCD TV against ( Ticket No.[protected] on 22nd October 2011. The Speaker is not working. The Executive (Jasvinder From Rajouri Garden) had visited to my house as per him there is some defect in TV and some Part of LCD TV would be changed. after Diwali. The Diwali has gone but no body has come to visit regarding this problem as well as I have not yet received any Message from Toshiba so far. ..I Called the customer care but they didn't help me out. Toshiba Service is so bad..they are cheating people.

                              TOSHIBA LCD TV — DUPLICATE TOSHIBA !

                              Bought a Toshiba LCD from indiatimes online site, subsequently the local toshiba serv agnt said it is not an original. Called up the indiatimes who gave the vendor no. He confessed and indiatimes promised to provide a replacement. almost 4 months have passed since, still they keep promising with no result.
                              Pl do not buy toshiba lcd as every thing about it is bad. I am going through the worst experiece.
                              No picture quality, no service during warranty period, no response from the company. Please stay away from the brand if you want to have peace of mind.

About the pictur is not good . The Executive had visited to my house as per him there is some defect in TV and some Part of LCD TV would be changed.He take pictur of my lcd two times. But no body has come to visit regarding this problem as well as I have not yet received any Message from Toshiba so far. ..I Called the customer care but they didn't help me out. Toshiba Service is so bad..they are cheating people.

                                I Purchased a LCD of Toshiba from Nayyar Electronics. For installation, one of executive came but suddenly the power failure takes place and the same executive promised to come back for completing the installation process. After an hour when we switch on it a vertical line appeared for which a complaint was registered and an executive came and said there is problem in the panel and he would take the picture of the LCD and LCD would be replaced. But up-to now after making a number of complaints, no solution is arrived.

                                We purchased the LCD on Diwali occasion for enjoying the festival but the whole thing is messed up because of worst services from Toshiba care.

                                If my complaint raised to right person, I request to properly answer by taking strict action against the company.

                                  have been delivered a defective To oshiba laptop, laptop showed a small line on screen which later turned up as a huge defective screen mark. on complaining the company said its a physical damage but it is not. Laptop shows no damage marks on its body any where. Even the service report given by onsite service representative states laptop has internal screen damage. I have the report with me which states the same. I have called numerous times to Toshiba service center and emailed but nothing is happening complaint gets launched and closed without any assistance . Being a student i am under mental trauma and seeing companies demand for repair of its defect delivered by company i m even more depressed as its a burden on me.
                                  I have all documents with me and emails sent and received too. Laptop serial code : 4B274360Q. and model C600 series.

                                    I would like to make a complaint against Toshiba laptops .

                                    I purchased a Toshiba laptop From Chennai, in August 2011 after some days i came to know that the laptop battery is tapping, so I logged a complaint against same to Toshiba customer care, the service centre was not willing to take the call , in fact they were telling me that the problem exist in all laptops of this model, so you go from here we can’t do anything for u ,i[censored] want you go to company we r only service providers, after i met their manager & there was some exchange of words between me & them they accepted the call & told they will change the battery, after some days they changed my battery, but it was the same issue but this time the battery was less tapping, so I took the laptop to my home after coming to home i saw that the battery was manufactured in august 2010 which was one year old than my purchase of laptop, i again marked a mail to them & requested to log a complaint against the same.

                                    It's almost more than 20 days they only replied me they will get back to me as early as possible.. i got a call from a person from Toshiba service saying that he is manager for Toshiba service & is taking personal look on the issue as this is very unfair.....
                                    But till date I had not received any update for my call, when i called them they told u have marked mail to we will reply u on mail only.

                                    So please help me in logging a consumer complaint or escalate this issue to the higher personals of Toshiba.

I registered the laptop & got a complaint no & gave that to Redington India (service center)The service center guys told me the battery tapping problem is not new to them, the problem is with that model only so we can’t do any thing to that, I argued with that engineers & had a chat with the branch manager after that they came to an conclusion to get my battery replaced.The Work order no was[protected].On 12/19/2011 a man came with a battery, but after replacing with the new battery it was the same,so the engineer said that let me take the laptop to the service center & check it by replacing with some other battery , i gave him the laptop after some time i got the laptop back but with the same issue, this time the battery was less tapping but i saw the manufacturing date of battery is 05.2010 . I rechecked with my call center & found that my call is closed. I also told the Service center guys that i got the problem with in a 2 week so please try to replace my laptop,& i got a reply that the service center guys told me we are not Toshiba we are Redington you contact to them & get your issue resolved we will send your feedback only.Is this the way how the calls are handled by Toshiba service center .I am totally dissatisfied with the service I just took Toshiba because I m already having a Toshiba Laptop but that i had purchased in Mumbai & got the service in Mumbai, the service was excellent so i purchased a Toshiba laptop , in Chennai it is a worst service. I would like to know weather Toshiba is going to resolve my issue or not. Kindly consider this as a complaint & register a call if Toshiba is willing to resolve my issue. Some concerns:1) If this problem is with all this model then why Toshiba is not discarding this model & resolve the issue.2) Why a old battery is provided to me which is a year older manufactured.3) Is Toshiba taking a feed back from the customers before they are closing the calls.4) The service center are not taking any responsibility in fact they are blaming the product & told me to contact the Company rather than a service center.                                     I am from Ludhiana (Punjab). I have purchased a toshiba laptop (Model No. C660-I5310 S.No. IB248487K) in 08 July, 2011and under warranty period. I got some problem in laptop within two months and take the service from toshibha service center in three times and he has replaced the Hard Disc in first time and second time he has kept and delivered after 10 days and tell yours problems was solved after 3 three months retroubles then gone to service center he has kept the 7 days and replaced the fan. Still it was not working. I gave it for service in Redington (India) Limited, Ludhiana Toshiba Service center which is a authorised service centre of Toshiba. But also they created some new problems to my lap top and now the facing the working time laptop automatic switch off then not easily open. When I asked about it to them Mr. Pawan Kumar from Redington (India) Limited, Ludhiana Toshiba Service center was answering as this problem was already there in your laptop and we didn't did anything. And also he told that we cannot rectify the problem. So I am request to you kindly change the my laptop otherwise I am going to consumer court.

                                      I bought a TOSHIBA 32" LCD tv on October-23-2010 from easyday market and its remote stopped working on September-21-2011.
                                      I lodged a request on[protected] on customer care number [protected] and I received request number[protected], next day I received a call from the number-[protected] and person other side of phone asked few questions, like light on LCD panel is working or not, side panel buttons are working or not after getting answer of his questions he said, remote needs to be replaced and since it is in warranty period therefore it will be replaced without any charge and that will take 4-5 days. After 5 days I called the same person on same number and he asked me call customer care to get the status of request, when I called customer care they asked me to call service center to know the actual time to get the remote replaced. After calling customer care I received another number of Mr. Manpreet-[protected], who was contacted next working day[protected] then he committed to get the remote delivered within 48 hours on[protected] again he was contacted on[protected] and again he promised to get the remote delivered on[protected] but remote was not delivered. When I called customer care on[protected] evening I was asked to wait till 12 pm Sunday but nobody contacted me. I again called customer care on[protected] and again no satisfactory answer but another number [protected] of Mr. Javed Ali to know the status. Sometimes I was told remote will be couriered from Bangalore sometimes from Malaysia. I feel they want the warranty period to be expired so that they can charge.

                                      You as a customer have played your part and you listed a problem in the crm before the expiry of the warranty period hence forth even if they deliver the product after the end of warranty it is called in warranty as the complain was lodged in warranty but one request to maintain your request number and your bill

                                        We bought a Toshiba 650 Ltrs Regrigerator from Sales India Ahmedabad Ashram Road Branch. As we wanted to get the same delivered in Gandhidham, we clearly mentioned that after sales service should not be a problem. At the time of sale sales India Ashram road promised us that there would not be any issue in the same. Now we are facing a problem in our refrigerator so we contacted sales India Ahmedabad office. to our shock and surprise they came back to us saying that as the company (thoshiba) does not have any center of service in Kutch they cant get it repaired and we should hire a private freidge repairer. On our insisting on their sending their own person they backed out sayin that they cant do anything in this except guiding the private technician (hired by us in gandhidham) on phone and supplying parts as informed by us. It was most rude and shockin to us as they are clearing backingout of their service commitment sighting reason of Toshiba. They just passed us onto toshiba for further discussion and Toshiba also maintained the same stand... worst they asked us to register a complain on their toll free no. which they claimed will be replied in 24 hours , its 3rd day today and there is no response from any one.

                                        this is really shameful for the dealer as we dont know thoshiba and we didnt buy direclty from toshiba.. if they knw service cant be given after sales they should refrain from selling product in that area rather than fooling customers with false promises of after sales service and alter on escaping from it. even worst no one from sales india also has called up or bothered to inquire whether whats te response frm toshiba.

                                        Very Pathetic on Sales India and Toshiba's Part.
