I had purchased a pair of Black Footwear (Article No: SM001) from one of the outlets in Bangalore. The address of the outlet is as follows:

The above said product was purchased on 08-May-2010 which was worth of Rs. 4995/- (Four Thousand Nine Hundred & Ninety Five Only). Post-purchase, I was also assured of the product by the Salesman for 5 years. On the contrary, within six months o[censored]sage of the product, it worn-out in the sole & the inner layers (especially right footwear). When contacted the above said dealer, I was assured of a good return or possibly a exchange of footwear of the same price. Today, I was given to understand from the dealer that I have received a reimbursement of 60% of the total cost of the footwear.
I have been brand loyal to Woodland, and have been using the products for years now. I believed that the products had a good durability and added one more product into my kitty. With the described experience of mine, I think I should change my views about the brand now.
I also tried reaching the toll free number [protected] which was switched off, hence without an option I had to write to them to re-consider the percentage of reimbursement or if possible an exchange at the same price.
After many reminders I get a reply "According to terms & condition of our company we give warranty for three month only for manufacturing defect against the cash memo from the date of purchase. As per your mail product purchased in may 2010 that's why we have given reimbursement of 60% of the total cost of the footwear .This settlement has been given as a special case otherwise we do not give any settlements after 3 months from the date of purchase."
Whereas the shoes were not one of those which had manufacturing defects... and why does one give a guaruntee of 5 years in case of only 3 months...... and why did the outlet agree and send it to woodlands if it had no warranty after 3 months.....

Woodland/ladies sandal — manufacturing defect need replacement
Hi Sir/MadamMyself Prabhakar belwal this is to inform you that i had cheated by the woodland store in
Marathalli , Bangalore.
On[protected] i went with my wife and and brought a pair of ladies sandal .
Next day she wear the sandal and walk for some 500m the sole (base of the sandal) was removed and the woodland sticker at the base is also coming out.
so on[protected] i was went to shop and asked them to exchange.
First there were not entertaining
us, later he said he can repair it but can't exchange it.
I asked not wear for one day and it this happened you should replaced them because
this is the manufacturing defect and paying high price but getting such a low quality of product
is not acceptable.
He is not interested to exchange it and say i don't care for consumer court.
so i request you to take action against them as soon as possible.
