Hi,

I`ve been a loyal customer with Woodland for more than a 15 years now and I'm really disappointed to be writing this mail to you. I hope you take this complaint seriously. I have been purchasing woodland apparels & footwear from all over Bangalore, India and have recommended numerous number of friends & relatives to try out your product. I had purchased a sandal close to 2 years back, as usual like any woodland product, this footwear has lasted long enough.Lately the buckle around my ankle has loosened up & I've escaped a few close vital falls because of that. I got back to a few Woodland stores in Bangalore seeking their help in repairing this issue for me, for which a few branches have agreed to take my sandals, send it to the main production office in Bangalore & get it repaired & back to me in a week to 10 days time.
This evening I entered the RT Nagar branch (since the store was closer to my residence) & the store manager there was not receptive to my complaints at all. Firstly he made me wait for more than 20 minutes despite not having any customers in the store. Secondly, he straight away denied to send my sandal for repair & gave me reasons saying it is very far away (in fact the Bangalore head office is not more than 7-8kms away from that store) and started rejecting my complaint and gave me nonsense answers as to how leather cannot expand & other theories. When I started questioning as to why other branches are ready to accept my complaint & get my sandal repaired, why is this branch not accepting it. He got very unfriendly with me and literally CHASED ME OUT OF THE SHOWROOM. I request you to please look into this unruly behavior.
I`m for sure am never stepping into another Woodland showroom again & never will recommend anyone to purchase its product.

    Dear sir,

    I have bought two pairs of woodland shoes on 10th february 2010. from Woodland showroom,Aero club, Shop no. 1, Shopper plaza,C G Road, Ahmedabad.in one pair there was complain of finishing of shole. Due to this problem on 13th may i had put my shoes for service in above showroom and they had gave back but i am not satisfied with service because they had not gave me shoes with black spots of chemicals on shoes and damage shoes show.
    Today i had visited above mention showroom for this complain but nobody responding for this problem, i using this brand last five years but i very desatisfied due to this experience.

    I am waiting for your reply.

    Sir,
    I have bought a pair of Woodland shoes, since i have not used it daily, morover is have limited use still due to either bad quality of sole or what i don't know stichs has been broken. I am using Woodland branded shoes since long but first time it has been experienced. Above all this, last week i have bought one new pair of woodland shoes.

    therfore please suggest me how do i repair the existing pair of my shoes

      I was visiting India and bought a pair of Woodlands shoes (G 23777 CAMEL) Size 42 from Aero Club, Franchisee: Romani Footwear Co. (Pvt) Ltd, 11/1 Lindsay Street, Kolkata-700087 (near New market) for Rs 2495.00 (Receipt No 450 dated 3/5/2010. I left India the same evening for Dhaka, Bangladesh. I wore the shoes and was tying the shoe laces and one of the rivets gave way and I could not wear it any more.

      Buying an expensive shoe and not being able to wear it - is the price I have paid to shop a "reputed" brand shoe.

      I am a foreigner and I do not live in India. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Please suggest me what shall I do to get the replacement.

        i had buy shoes from first mall mall road ludhiana mod nogb0591108on 10 april 2010 i had worn it 8-10times and it starts cutting of my skin of little finger and back of my feet frm the first tme i wear that shoe ven i complaint abt this to shopkeeper he told me there is erosion of leather which is manfacturing defect we will send shoes to delhi and it is long procedure i want my shoes replaced wiyh same model as early as possible bill no.[protected] dr.mandeep singh ph no.[protected]

        dear sir,
        This is against the complaint for the pair of shoes bought from Rave Moti, mall, Rawatpur Crossing, Kanpur-208025 bearing article no.GC04305 (KH) size-44, but surprisingly there is no proper response for the solution to the problem uptil now from your store.
        On wearing the shoes just for 1 day has badly damaged the feet from front.
        The shoes have been submitted to Mr.Akhilesh Shukla at the store in rave moti mall, shop no.20-22, sarvodaya nagar, kanpur.
        Further, I would like to inform you to kindly get the replacement done ASAP or get the credit note and not to repair the same pair of shoes.Under no circumstances I would take the same pair having been repaired.

        Dear sir,

        This sithikraja from chennai i bought shoe from Wood land show room (Address : shop # 32/33, Madley road, T.nagar, chennai-600017) bill no is TIN NO : [protected], Date of purchased Feb/10/2011. from the purchased date. The shoes front sole was tear that is a mistake of manufacturing so i plan to return the shoe at the date of 13/feb/2011 that is 3 day. it shop manager said sir it will take 15 days of replacement please wait we do need full to u.. I trust them they won't take any action still now. This is my complaint no CCF 122. Im really unsatisfied from the date of purchased wood land shoe ...         Woodland Shoes — Shoes badly damaged

        I gave my Woodland Shoes for sole pasting at Woodland outlet at shop no 17, Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad on 22/02/2011. When I received the same today (27/03/2011), I was shocked to see that the entire shoe leather was badly worn out and damaged from all the sides. When I gave the shoes for repair to them, leather was in an excellent condition. Now it looks badly damaged from all sides undoubtedly due to careless workmanship during sole pasting. When I asked about it from outlet Manager (Gautam Pradhan), he said that the damage is not caused at their end, and now nothing could be done further. I’m totally annoyed by such a response from a so called branded company’s employee. I will also go to the consumer court for such a malpractice and the suffering caused.
        One thing i would like to suggest all my dear friends, that if you are thinking of purchasing a new shoes from Woodland, then please immediately give up your idea of opting it. Because from last 2 years Quality from shoes is disappeared. If you guys are not agree with me and still thinking of buying it, then u could have to repent later. I m not compelling you, neither m from any other shoe brand. I m also ordinary working professional like you, who is currently visiting their repair center twice in a month. Reasons for avoiding woodland.

        1) Zero Quality due to large variety of shoes in sake of competence from other brands.
        2) No caress of your queries.

        So now choice is of you guys...wanna go with it..

        you can also chose other brands too like nike, reebok or timberland too

        I have been customer of woodland since last 14 years, recently I purchased a woodland shoes from authorised showroom in ghaziabd (not in sale) but after few months stitching is opened from many sides in both the shoes with in 6 months when i go to the showrom, he suggest me to burn the threads with match stick & he told if i drop my shoes to them they will do the same process. I also tried in Mahagun & shipra maal showroom (although i have not purchased from there) they give me the near about same answer . Even when i went to Bhopal showroom & told my problem there they agreed with my things & they were ready to change the shoe but problem was, i have not purchased that from there (although i told them i have purchased it from their showroom)

        I am not the new customer of the woodland shoes, i have been using it since plast 14 years & they (ghaziabad) are treated me as a new customer, i know there is some problem in the shoes as it is also not comfortable, but they told me that's my foot problem not shoes. Very funny ...Such guyes spoil the image of the company...

          Dear Sir,

          One of my friends gifted me Woodland brand leather Belt. Unfortunately the size of the belt was small. Hence I visited the shop from where he purchased the belt and requested for the replacement (Higher size). He told me that the required size is not available? (Surprisingly) and also demanded for the original bill. I told him that the belt was gifted to me and while presenting the gift no one gives bill. The belt was intact, unused with the original barcode tag. Hence, I requested him to verify the barcode tag which was on the belt and conform whether the belt was purchased from his shop a day before or not. He refused to replace it and the belt is still with me without of my use. This was just a wastage of money (@ Rs. 850/-).

          My friend purchased the belt from the woodland showroom which is at Wanawadi, Pune

          Is there any solution for such services provided by the manufacturer?

            Aero Club Woodland, Woodlandstore, Artical No : R1GB 059118 ASSR 0 Footwear , Bill No:7694,
            They have given defect pices with diffrent quilaty,in shoes,When i went Back to
            oulet for replacment , the Retail outlet In charge Mr Praveen , as not Given hint thats second shoes, they are telling we ll get srevice it only,
            Let me know that this ll be you Customer Satastifaction, By giving Second Hand & Diffrient Quilaty in Shoes.

              Respected sir,
              I purchased one pair of woodland shoes from Universal Sports Shoes, Medical More, Rohtak on 13.11.2009 in rupees 1900 (Cash Memo : 13332). Sole of one shoe got detached from shoe in region near the tip of the shoes just when I had used shoes only 3 times. Slowly more than half of sole got detached completely. I had to purchase new shoes for the purpose of my marriage and there was a lot of social humiliation as shoes gave away in one of my hospital's Academic function. After paying so much money and facing social and mental trauma, I wish to get these defective shoes replaced. But shopkeeper from whom i purchased shoes said bluntly that we will not replace shoes and you do whatever you want to do.Please help me in getting my shoes replaced as, I don't want to break my trust in Woodland and nobody can sell defective things at such a high price and still not replace the grossly defective product. Wish to have positive response from the company to compensate for my social and economic sufferings due to defective shoes.

              i purchases chappal from wood land by paying 2000 rupees but in two months only sole came out and shopkeepr in gandhidham told me that the same can not be replaced. I trust woodland a lot. We have purchased almost 6 to 7 pairs of chappals/shoes from woodland but surprice with this product.

              great if the same is replaced or repaired at least to sustain out trust in woodland.

                    I had purchased a slipper worth 1380/- from WOODLAND outlet which is in Commercial street.The dealer was promising that the slippers would long last and can be used for daily wear.But within 15 days the belt of the slippers got loosened and had shown the original quality of WOODLAND.
                    Paying a very high amount for slippers and getting such worst quality is surprising.When asked for exchage, the reply was he would not replace but repair.When I asked , if the same defect is seen once again,his response was;we address only within 3 months of purchase.

                    A street vendor is giving a good quality than a WOODLAND.We can buy 3 slippers and use happily for an year instead of spending huge money on the cheating outlets with the Brand name.

                    In spite of repeated reminders no steps taken by the wood land sales executives
                    to supply the required sues i.e black sue G 23777 / GC 110105 size 42 to kakinada shop as order placed in the month of feb 2010.So far no consignment received by the kakinada shop owner.In addition to this a sms flashed to Sri Vinod Vedugula, Sales Executive Banglore to his mobile number [protected] with the same request. It is very very painful to me to give such reminders to this reputed wing for getting required 42 sue. If such things happened in feature, then the common regular customer like me will loose belief on this wing.Hence I request you you please respond positively in supplying the required item as I got highest belief on this branded product.An early mail is solicited

                      Hi,

                      I n my friend had purchased 2 pair of chappals on 29-Sep-09, of which 1 was given for repair on 10-Oct-09 as the leather and soel was coming out. Woodland got it done but again the leather started coming out the second time. The other chappal totally came out. The representative at the Woodland Store, Thane said that the chappal will be replaced and the other one which had worn out the second time will be repaired. At that point of time we were told since the warranty period is of six months, both will be repaired/replaced at woodland's cost. Now they say, Woodland will bear only 70% of the cost and the rest will have to be beared by us.
                      When Woodland says warranty period of 6 months, then why the hell do they charge from their customers?????? If this is the case let them not give any sort of warranty to their customers.
                      Woodland is just a name, the quality of the product is deteriorated.

                      Is there anybody who can tell me what is to be done in this case.

                      its just a name woodland byt product quality is not good..i purchased a woodland footwear on 21 feb 11 n now its only one n half mounth gone and my right footwear of pair is damaged same model was purchased by my father and same case is happened with there woodland footwears also..shame on you woodland ..you are not judging product according to there price-tag ..

                        I bought a woodland shoe,
                        With in a month I found discomfort in the shoe. I thought may be the shoes are new that could be the reason behind. I continue wearing but after a while I feel that there is a problem in the shoes. I went to showroom and explained the problem.
                        They kept the shoe for a month long, and returned back to me, said the shoes are perfect now.
                        After a weak I was going to Singapore. I wore the same shoe there. It creates so problem there. I had to buy another shoe for emergency.
                        Thankgod this time it was not woodland.
                        I came back to india and submitted the shoe again to the showroom.
                        Now they are saying we cant do anything thing, the shoes warranty is over.
                        I told them it was with you for months. You are not counting them.
                        Say no to woodland. They became worst now.
                        They no more sell the quality product.

                        Hi All,

                        Please be aware about the quality of woodlands produts are bad, check properly before you, I purchased 1 pair of shoes and 1 pari of sandles, shoes soes came out within 1 hour o[censored]se. Though the shop keeper took it for repair, today when I visiting to take back my shoes, it was repaired in a bad state. I have rejeted it and asked for money back. I have already spent around Rs300 towards transport to the shop, it feel this brand is not worth the effort. Do look for some other brand. I am sensing the woodlands just buys shoes from some local guys and adds its logo on the shoes.

                        I bought a pair of shoe on 21st July 2009 worth Rs. 2965, from Woodland Store E-11 South Ex. Part II, New Delhi. and after using 3 - 4 times its upper layer started cuming out from outside , inside and edges of the shoes and also the sole of left shoe also got unfixed from front.

                        As I do not earn much so I thought I should buy shoes of good brand so that I do not need to buy again and again, that is why I took decision of buying shoes of woodland in which we had good faith from years but after having the such bad experience from such brand with so much big repute I and my father comlained many times through e mail to the concerned persons but never got any replies from anyone of them.

                        Its too disappointing for us, affected our faith badly.
                        It may not be the big issue for the officials of the brand but it is certainly for us, because we have invested our hard earn money just because of its loyal repute and their assurence of good quality to the customer.

                        WOODLAND — poor quality product

                        I bought a woodland shoe,
                        With in a month I found discomfort in the shoe. I thought may be the shoes are new that could be the reason behind. I continue wearing but after a while I feel that there is a problem in the shoes. I went to showroom and explained the problem.
                        They kept the shoe for a month long, and returned back to me, said the shoes are perfect now.
                        After a weak I was going to Singapore. I wore the same shoe there. It creates so problem there. I had to buy another shoe for emergency.
                        Thankgod this time it was not woodland.
                        I came back to india and submitted the shoe again to the showroom.

                        I bought a woodland sandal, With in a day stitching bookend, i went woodland Bangalore marathahalli showroom.. they saying we can repair but it will take tow week time ...!!! ...sandal i threw it on the ground and i say goodbye woodland ...one day ????? don't buy wood and...

                        I am a regular user of your brand(Woodland) for several years which your people at madurai know this and i have bought nearly 4 pairs of schoes and scandals before starting in madurai i use to bought it from chennai and banglore. Normally i do not have and complaints, but a year back i bought a schoe in black color, from the month of purchase the stiched thread came out from the connection between the bottom and upper soul, schoe was seprated and not able to use, again and again your people stiched the same and now the bottem was teared and they want me to agree i refused(I am also running a jewellery shop in madurai it is a hundred years old). More the 75% of the days Schoe was with your people rather i havent used to it.Even now it is with your people pls take necessary action on it and solve my problem immedietly.

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I, Abhishek Agarwal, am working for an MNC. I am regular customer and, in many sense, praiser of Woodland products and services. I had been fond of purchasing Tees, shoes, belts, etc from Woodland franchise, near to my home, until March 3rd, 2012. This Wooland outlet is at Kapurbaudi, near Big Bazaar, Thane (W) - 460001, India. .

                        For the services and obviously brand itself, I bought a formal shoe pair - costed me around Rs. 1, 550 - in December, last year. It came with a warranty of 1 year. Hence, the problem with the shoes started coming into the scene. Till now, I got my shoes repaired twice. The problems were with the stiches, and pasting at sole. For the first time, it took 4-5 days to get the shoes done.
                        Recently, the second time, Feb 26th, the attendant of the shop told me to get it done within 3-4 days and I will be informed on the phone. He reduced to writing; my phone number, name, etc. I gave it on Sunday and expected it on Wednesday.

                        For these many days, I was on sport shoes. Coincidentally, an event was to be conducted on Thurusday in the Organization. I called the store and told them the urgency of situation. Although, repairing was behind schedule they shamelessly told me that it would take some more days. To my surprise, I didn't imagine what to do for the event. Atlast, I borrowed a pair of shoe from my friend for one day. On Mar 3rd, I went to showroom and asked for my shoe. It was ready and the attendant bagged it and returned to me. I enquired, why the person didn't call me up when it was ready and you were to do so. He gave me the reason that I don't have your number. Later, I made them see, apparantly, my mobile number is there in the entry register. Then, they provided me with reason that might be you came early in the morning and we didn't have enough deatils of yours. I raised a query then, you have my name and number whatelse you required. While leaving the store I acknowledged them I am to, surely, write mail to Senior concern. I was taken aback when they brazenly said "OK". I didn't involve in any brawl with them and I headed to the exit of the store.

                        I, even, writing this mail and thinking of how an attender responsible for affecting the image of the brand. Why doesn't he undersand that it's not him but ultimately the brand and its image. How can one be so irresponsible with customers. May be it is just about the store and its associates but is it worth letting the people down and somehow and whatever little hurting the brand image.

                        I would appreciate your consideration if you could extend to the store and remind them properly which Organization they are working for.

                          Manufacturing defect and insufficient warranty

                          I had purchased Woodland Shoes in August 2009, from Ms Aero Club, Laxmi Road Pune, Invoice no 3854.
                          As soon as I started using, I started feeling some pain in my left foot.
                          After 5-6 months, the left shoe is torn with the treads coming out below the heel. The dealer says warranty is for 3 months only. No replacement or repair can be done
                          The shoes have become uncomfortable and useless....

                          I had purchased woodland sandals from T & A, Panaji, Goa, which were defected and the both the soles broke after wearing them for just one time, which can be verified by looking at the sandals. I had purchased this sandals when the shop was giving discount. I feel the sandals tore off because it was very old stock being sold by the shop, i would like to know if shops are allowed to sell old defected goods, even though they know that the goods are defected. I would like a refund of the amount paid or atleast a repair of the sandals.

                          I too had a similar situation where the sole of my shoes just tore off. When asked the the Panjim Woodland shop they said it was because I had not used them regularly..

                            On January 10th I purchased a black formal office shoe from Woodland's Bangalore outlet (100ft road Indiranagar). To my surprise, the sole of the shoe started chipping off in 2 days of wearing it. The shop asked me to deposit the shoe and told me that their Delhi/Gurgaon office will take a decision but they also assured that a likey case of 100% waiver on this product was possible.

                            As expected, after 10 days they said I pick a new pair of shoes else purchase anything else from the store for that particular amount.

                            My issue here is: I came to the store with intention of purchasing specific black formal shoes. If their product itself if defective and I dont want that product again and I have no wish to purchase anything else, HOW CAN A COMPANY FORCE ME IN PURCHASING A PRODUCT FROM THEIR SHOP? I have written to them and asked them for a money re-fund, which they refuse. What is my consumer right if the product from the company itself has defaulted. Am I entitled to 100% re-fund?

                              I have purchased a pair of shoes from Woodland Shoes franchaisee M/s. AERO CLUB Woodland Store Residency Road opposite Premier Hotel Jammu on 3rd of February 2010 vide their bill No.7280 for Rs.2, 495.00. The model No. of the item is GC 0576108 Camel size 41. Yesterday while removing the shoe from my right foot, I saw that the sole has started loosing the adhesive while as the Left foot is quite O K. I went to the retailer and he said that goods sold once can be repaired and not replaced even if it fails withing few days due to manufacturing defects.

                              Paying almost 300% extra price we look forward to the company with quite a lot of expectations regarding customer service. Hope your forum will help innocent customers from treatments like this in future.

                                I HAVE BEEN WEARING WOODLAND SHOES. WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL.
                                I DIDNT FACED AY PROBLEM.
                                BUT THIS TIME, THEY REALLY ANNOYED ME ALOT.
                                I BOUGHT A PAIR OF SHOE FROM GRETER KAILASH SHOWROOM.
                                IT WAS THEIR NEW EDDITION AT THAT TIME.
                                I WORE THE SHOE AND UNABLE TO WALK PROPERLY.
                                THE SHOE WERE VERY HEAVY.
                                ONE CANT WALK FOR LONG AFTER WEARING THIS SHOE.
                                I WENT BACK TO THEIR SHOWROOM WITHIN 3 MONTHS AND EXPLAINED MY PROBLEM.
                                THEY RETURNED BACK AFTER A MONTH.
                                I WAS GOING TO SINGAPORE, I TOOK THAT SHOE OVER THERE. THAT WAS A BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.
                                MY WHOLE TRIP BECAME WORST JUST BECAUSE OF THAT SHOES.
                                THERE I BOUGHT A NEW SHOE AND CONTINUED....
                                NOW AGAIN I SUBMIITED MY SHOE TO SAME BRANCH.
                                ITS BEEN A MONTH AGAIN THE SHOES IS WITH THEM.

                                  I have purchased one pair Woodland shoe from your cherooty road, Calicut show room wide Bill no.6658, dt.10-02-09 GC-0401107 GRN-43 for Rs.1885/-, & complaint slip no.71, dt.[protected], within one year the left shoe's stitch has gone due to sole complaint, when I approached the above showroom the sales man said that they will charge Rs.450/- (approx.) for replacing charges of both the sole. But sir it is truely a manufacturing defect. So please go through the matter and kind enough to wave the charges.

                                    I had purchased the wood land shoes frm allahabad, atlantis mall, after 1.5 yrs the sole begain to crack, and as I promised by the sales person of the company outlet, i went there and purchased the shoes and they again told me sir u are already wearing an woodland u know we give garuntee on switching and sole, since my shoe sole was cracking i asked them to do the needful, they gave me the slip and happily said sir, when the shoes is repaired they will let me know , how ever it will take about 2 weeks, and i waited for one month and haven,t got any reply frm the store,
                                    when i went to store the store persons stared to screem at me, sir, we had called u up and ur phone was swicthed off and sir, we never gave the comitment abput the sole you'll have to pay price for the sole , I agreed to this also but the again waiting after one month without any reply went to the outlet and they again started yelling, that shoe cannot be repaired and they called me and my phone was off.
                                    Even the store manager was not trained enough to deal with the staff and to the customers, the staff were not in his control, sales staff were screeming like anything....

                                    i don't know what type of customer service u provide and what of persons u have ..... totally frustrated and promised my self never to purchase the woodland shoes agaon in my life.... and also pray to the readers and member reading this to purchase the woodland shoes,
