There is no mobile network coverage in our area for airtel. Address is, manimangalam road, varadharajapuram, west tambaram, chennai - 600048. There is no proper response from customer care people also. No one is taking actions. Mobile network is working only if we go to the terrace of the apartment. It is not working inside the home. There are around 78 houses in our apartment and almost all are facing the same issue.

1. They have sub-standard ports in and around Ernakulam, Kerala.

2. Internet does not work half the time.

3. We pay for 8mbps speed and get 1mbps speed.

4. Technical team comes back to you after two days, and says its a port issue cannot be rectified.

Airtel broadband should be the last option on your mind.

My airtel money is blocked due for your faulty business process.It is blocked from last 4 days.I keep calling customer care and they unable to resolve till now. I requested to transfer balance after discussion with customer care. They suggest to provide id proof (as in attachment).
Still noT RESOLVED.

    Sir my airtel plan which was told to me by it airtel store in ankleshwar was 550 1. Ulimited calls 2.100 sms per day3.4gb 4g data. But the planned which i got is totally different it's like i received only 3gb 4g data. So u people are fooling the customers. So please let me know how can u help me. And if the plan remains the same the plz immediately stop your stupid plan and no more i want to continue with airtel and will not suggest anyone for airtel from now onwards

      I am Manohar Meena from Bikaner Rajasthan. On 2january 2017 I added rs 89 in my airtel money wallet.
      Money was deducted from my bank account of oriental bank of commerce. My transaction Id is [protected]
      But money was not credited to my airtel money wallet.
      I tried calling customer care executive of airtel but his response was not satisfactory.

      Please look into the matter at the earliest and get my money refunded back to my bank account.

        On 23rd december, i purchased a new sim with same old number ([protected]) as i had some issue with older sim card. However, i am unable to access 4g services since then. Although 3g and 2.5g services are working fine. I have complained the same with the customer care three times since then, but nothing has improved. Every time i contact them, they say that issue will be resolved in 3 days but nothin happens and i have to call again to them and again same thing happens. This is very irritating and frustrating that airtel technical team is completely incapable to solve this ludicrous issue in past 10 days. If any responsible person from airtel group is reading this, please take appropriate action on this. I am highly dissatisfied with the airtel services. I am using it since last 4 years but now it seems time has come to switch to some other network operators.

        Hi Airtel,
        Today I got a call from airtel executive and he said that issue is resolved and I need to reinsert the sim card and restart phone. I did the same but I got nothing but a huge disappointment. I could not see any 4G or LTE symbol there. The issue still remains open and it's not resolved. I am deeply frustrated now with the service provided by airtel. Please consider this response as higher level escalation of this issue. I really can't understand why it is taking so much time to resolve this very minor issue. Please take some serious action on this and don't try to fool or misguide the end users.

        I am also attaching the screen shot of my phone screen where you can see at the top as 'H' symbol which is for 3G and not for 4G.

        Hi,

        The resolution provided by you is not working at all. So, I am still at level 0. Nothing have improved. This issue was never resolved at all. I could not see or use 4G as usual, despite reinserting the sim and restarting the mobile.

        So please work on this and reslove it asap. Why are you people stretching it so long.

        If this issue can't be resolved by airtel technical team do mention it clearly. Then I will see next course of action. But don't give these kind of answers that we have resolved the issue and so and so. It doesn't make any sense. The issue might have been resolved for you but at my side it's still the same old issue.

        Hope to see some genuine and sensible response from your side.

I had received a message from the company that my transaction was unsuccessful. The concerned mobile number is [protected]. I even complaint to the customer care but they said my amount would be refunded in account within 72 hours but it's been more than that.Look forward to this matter and return my amount.

                I am extremely dissatisfied with the hopeless & service that airtel the so called smart phone network is providing in my iphone 6 i had ported from vodafone to airtel thinking that airtel is a better service provider but i believe that i was a fool that i changed from vodafone to airtel i have already post several complaints online on the airtel website but as usual the service that airtel is providing is just hopeless & pathetic is all i can say.
                Request you to look into this on an urgent basis else i will be going back to vodafone & let me inform you one thing i have shown my device at the apple service center as well they have also checked nothing is wrong in my device at all if this is not addressed on an urgent basis i will ensure that along with me atleast 15 customers port out of airtel & switch to vodafone also i will post this on social media as well like facebook & twitter as well that's a promise.
                I have already posted a complain on the consumer forum & don't think that i can fooled at all. As i am also a part of the customer service industry so you guys can't play around with me at all because i know pretty well how this functions as i am also a part of a bpo industry. Last week i have also changed my sim to another airtel 4g sim but still no luck at all.
                Look into this on an urgent basis else i will spread the poor & hopeless service that airtel is providing like wild fire i mean it.

                  I'm sriram subramanian and have been using the landline & broadband service with the number [protected] for 6+ years now with airtel. Have been a prompt customer paying all the bills of airtel and also endorsing airtel services to others over the years.

                  Below is the sequence of harassment done to me by airtel since june 2016.

                  Incorrect plan - earlier till february was part of a different plan and in february 2016 added rs.500 topup into the landline plan as per suggestions from telephone service executive which provides free landline/std calls.in june 2016 again as per suggestions from telephone executive changed into rs.1999 which was inclusive of free landline/std calls. Since then have been billed rs.1999 + rs.500 + service tax. I've called the customer care to make right changes to my plan every month and several service tickets have been raised & have never been resolved.
                  Every time i called the service executive waivered rs.500 and not the service tax and have paid all my bills perfectly without any dues. Every time i had to explain the customer care executive over 30+ mins and no action had been taken.

                  Shifting of location - on october 1st i had raised a request to change the connection to my newly shifted location. A sla of october 8th was provided to finish this shifting. Had called airtel several times to follow up on shifting only to have no assurances or communication on the same. As a great shock recevied the below email communication with subject - "update on ref. No. 73712162 for airtel fixedline and broadband [protected]_tn" on nov 22nd.

                  Reference no. 73712162 for your airtel fixedline and broadband [protected]_tn regarding shifting to new address-requests shifting has been successfully processed..

                  Nobody from airtel has visited myself or anybody from my family in the new location we are residing and no shifting has happened in the last 40+ days since the request.. Adding to this a bill was generated over rs.1999 + rs. 500 + service tax, given your records there was no phone or internet activity in our account since october 1st. Harassment had reached new levels now.

                  Cancellation of account : with airtel showing no interest to resolve my plan issue and billing me for a connection not even shifted, called customer care on nov 23rd to raise a request for my account cancellation. My cancellation request was taken by customer care after checking and confirming there has been no activity on my account since the shift request (I. E) oct 1st and also took a a request to waive off the bill amount for the service i have not utilized. But i received my bill notification and not any action on the cancellation, again i had to raise another request for cancellation explaining everything to customer care executive who was reluctant to take the request straight away.

                  Then a service executive from cancellation team called and provided offers in the likes of 75% discount on next six months bill and shifting to be processed right away, with the disappointment i had faced i proposed to waive of my bill to convince that airtel will stand true to its service values, post which will avail the offer and continue with airtel. The customer executive never called back and the next day another executive called to understand why i had raised a cancellation request.

                  With no action taken, i called airtel customer care again and this time tried to reach a manager cadre, and this time i was successful. The customer care and the manager assured me that the cancellation will be processed and the bill for services i have not availed will be waived, they will take personal care on this request to ensure this case will be resolved and also communicated the account cancellation will happen immediately and bill waiver will happen within a month.

                  Promptly i have received a physical bill copy in my new residing location for november month as well and clearly my cancellation request stands without action. The harassment continues.

                  Bill dues collections follow up :

                  When iam almost mentally was fed up and felt its a torture to to make any further calls to airtel to follow up on my cancellation request and explain the customer service executives, i have started receiving calls from airtel collections team on follow up of my dues. The collection team knows no sense of tone and questions they can ask is abuse beyond imagination for a customer who has paid bills for more than 6 years. Some abuses from them as below when i try to explain them

                  "how can you not pay the bills?", "why is the bill not paid?", "when are you going to pay the bill?", "pay your bills first".

                  Summary of harassment, torture, abuse by airtel i have faced.

                  - dishonest practices of plan change.
                  - inconvenient processes to handle change or reduction of billing.
                  - inefficient customer care executives and systems that doesn't help to resolve calls with customer care effective intentionally.
                  - inefficient and non transparent service ticketing system that doesn't communicate details of the same to the customer.
                  - breach of sla and no commitment to adhere to compliance to resolve service requests.
                  - fraudulent and dishonest practices of service ticket closure.
                  - inconvenient and troublesome processes to handle cancellation request.
                  - fraudulent activity by sending email on shifting yet no shifting of connection has happened.
                  - fraudulent billing of services not utilized.
                  - harassing treatment of customer who have been paid all their bills till date promptly and no process to look back on what went wrong at airtel.
                  - abusive and illicit communication practices of collection.

                  I demand airtel to cancel my connection immediately & waiving off the bill amount for services not availed. If this action is not taken with written communication on sla or i receive any further calls from collections i will go to consumer court for all the above reasons quoted.

                    Hi,

                    I am using airtel prepaid mobile ([protected]) and I recharged for 349 which is under Santa offer to get 1GB data and unlimited local and STD calls. After few days I was not able to use my internet.

                    I called to your customer care 30th December 2016 (Ref no : CBNRD[protected]) and I was told that the particular recharge 349 (With 1GB data) was applicable only for 4G enabled handsets and not for mine. I was told that I wont be able to use internet in my handset with this plan.

                    In the Airtel app the recharge just specifies Unlimited local and STD call + 1GB. Upon clicking on that it just takes me to the recharge page. With this how do you expect me to know this plan is not available for my handset? Do you want your customers to be fully aware of all your plans and restrictions? I chose this option only because of the Data, If I had known previously if its not suitable for my mobile then I would have recharged for some other plan. Why do I recharge with 349 and get only 50 MB when I get 2GB for 298? Do you think your customers as fools and come up with all these plans? The same thing happened three weeks back. I received a message stating that I can extend my unused data balance by recharging with any 3g data packs by dialing *121*11# and I went ahead and recharged with 29 option to carry forward my 700MB data on December 11th. But the data was not carry forwarded and I ended up using all my account balance as I was thinking I had 700MB data in my account. Why should I recharge with 29 unnecessarily without you sending me a message for carry forwarding the data?

                    I want my the remaining data of 980MB to be credited to my account and I should be able to use it. Also I want to extend the data validity for the days which I was not able to use my internet. Also I want a compensation for the 700 MB which I had lost earlier.

                      Thank you for getting back, however I would like to point out your follow up below does little to let me know when my modem would be replaced and configured.
                      I would like to point out that it’s been more than 2 week since I have raised the order, I have not received a single call from Airtel advising me on the reason for the delay or to set an expectation of when the upgrade work take place.
                      I would assume Airtel as a company respects its customers time as any other competing telecom company out there and should least have the courtesy to keep its customers informed proactively around delays and set expectations in advance.
                      Honestly speaking in my 10 years relationship with Airtel this has been the most disappointing experience ever.

                      Awaiting a call to let me know the reason for the delay and when would this order be fulfilled.

                          This is in regard to the free 4G SIM card that was couriered to me for up-gradation from 3G to 4G. I had received the SIM on 29/12/2016. I made a SIM change request for Airtel mobile no. on 29/12/2016. I received an email in my registered mail id that the SIM for my airtel no. has been changed successfully.But when I inserted the new SIM card, the network doesn't show.

                          I called up customer care from a colleague's airtel no. as airtel becomes practically unreachable from other networks instead in cases of reporting of lost SIM and for taking a new connection. The customer care was no help at all. I have a Lenovo K3 Note that is 4G enabled yet I am unable to receive network. I have also sent mails regarding this issue but I received the same automated response that the new SIM was active on my no. It has been 5 days now and still no network, no outgoing or incoming services, still the mail from Service Specialist of Airtel says the services are working fine from their side.

                          I want my no. to be reverted back to 3G, as I have already witnessed the so called airtel 4G services, or any possible solution by 02/01/2016. If not done so, then please don't expect me to pay for the postpaid connection as the services are not active on my side.

                          I called up on all the airtel postpaid helpline numbers from other network as I do not own any other airtel no. but to no avail. [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], I called on all these nos but nearly all of them are unresponsive. I sent mails regarding the issue to [protected]@airtel.com, nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com, nodal.officer.[protected]@in.airtel.com, airtel.[protected]@in.airtel.com, [protected]@in.airtel.com but just received reply from [protected]@airtel.com stating that the services of the new SIM are active from their side. This is the greatest level o[censored]nprofessionalism at its best.

                          Hello, I have received a 4g Airtel sim 2 days back and sent a message to 121 saying . But, up until now, I have received more than a 100 flash messages saying, we are unable to process your request. Network bars show there is network but in no way can I put forth a call or send a message and the same goes for incoming too. The old sim stopped working too. I would like to receive an immediate remedy to this situation. It is annoying to be living without a network for even a day.

                            For a month the airtel numbers in jayanagar 3rd block location, bangalore has not been working! Full network but nobody is able to call us and we cannot call anyone..have to literally go to another location all together by travelling 10 min and make a call!!After 10 tickets opened with airtel, a million calls to the call centre and several messages on the facebook airtel india page, all i keep getting is this Hi Krithika! We tried reaching you from XXXXX36567 on all the numbers shared by you regarding your concern related to airtel services however, we couldn't get through your number. Please provide us an alternate contact number and share a convenient time to help us connect with you. We will be glad to assist you. Regards, from multiple people in fact!!
                            Looks like their service has gone to the dogs! Usually service providers resolve major outages in less than a day and atleast they have the courtesy to talk to their customers when tickets are opened with their service centres. We get calls and the next day the ticket is closed without resolution and agin we have to open a new case with Airtel. We even tried putting this on social media but they were least bothered to reply and finally they hid the post so that they can save themselves.

                              I have been charged 50 rupees and I received a msg saying that superstore has been renewed on my account. I never subscribed for it. It's a fraud.

                              I am confirming that nobody else is responsible for this misplacement and I have lost the same unknowingly.

                                I have two post paid connections in family (both ladies) of AIRTEL. whenever a call is made to these mobile nos, the mobile is showing switched for incoming calls. the set and the sim were changed as per advice and the problem still persists. the mobile nos are not contactable . the company did nothing to resolve the issue. one no belongs to an old person who requires it all the time for her medical help and other assistance.

                                  I raised a request on 16-Dec to shift my FIXED LINE services

                                  [protected] For shifting my fixed line to my new address - (both the houses are in same locality and two streets away - KOTTURPURAM)

                                  I was assured that my request will be resolved max in 5 working days as per Airtel's SLA to shift fixed line.

                                  However, the same was not done until 21-Dec. Since then, I have been calling airtel customer care at least twice a day (more than 10 calls till now). Every time they put on HOLD for no reason and make me wait for 10-15 mins.

                                  I was told due to cyclone VARDAH the service requests are getting delayed and will be rectified in 2 days i.e. by 23-Dec. I waited and again called. Every time I was given 2 or 3 days as reason. Airtel is smart that for every call they create a new service request (they created a new one 76894926 when they clearly knew a previous request is not fulfilled).

                                  On 26-Dec they assured my case will be resolved by EOD 26-Dec, but again no solution. the same day, I spoke to Prashant from escalation team who assured to speak to the area engineer and get back immediately. I received a call from tel:[protected] and a lady employee spoke who quoted she is from Escalation team and that she needs 2 days to fully serve my request. She confirmed my case will be resolved by 28-Dec EOD and that she will give me a call around evening 7PM to confirm if my case is resolved or not.

                                  To no surprise, no one from Airtel called me to serve my request. Neither did the lady employee / Prashant from escalation team called me.

                                  On 28-Dec EOD, i wrote an email to Airtel to discontinue my services. I got a call on 29-Dec stating the receipt of my email and that they wanted me to talk to the escalation team. Fed up of my experience with customer care and having 0% confidence that they will help me understand the reason for delay, I started explaining my concern to the customer care rep who immediately hanged the call. See the attitude.
                                  Immediately I am getting an sms / email that my cancellation request is taken and that it will be processed in 7 working days. See the spirit of Airtel:

                                  1. I raised a request for shifting my connection - IT WAS NOT SERVED till date. Airtel had nil customer service / commitment to call the customer and let them know the reason for delay. They did not do that.

                                  2. Every instance, I had to call them and know the reason for the delay. They give VARDAH cyclone as the reason for delay. I also explained them that the condition in Kotturpuram area wa back to normal in 2 days and that my fixedline was working very well in my OLD location.

                                  3. LOT of deadlines missed and Airtel seems clueless why the area representatives are delaying my request. Pathetic management.

                                  4. Shifting lines - How much time it will take. Max 2-3 hours and not more. Even this Airtel cannot manage / provide a solution to customer.

                                  5. TILL DATE I DO NOT KNOW THE REASON why my request was not fulfilled. Airtel escalation team too did not explain me the reason. The moment I asked them to cancel my connection, they instantly accepted and cancelled.

                                  6. AIRTEL thinks they are the leaders and no one can shake them. Clearly AIRTEL is going to lose all its customers if they do not treat customer's better.

                                  I have shared my BITTER experience in all SOCIAL media and here. Have personally told my friends who are all in very high positions in IT industry to move away from Airtel. See the difference this is going to make.

                                  AIRTEL is doing pathetic customer service and it is going to lose its position to ACT all other players.

                                    Sir,
                                    Indeed Airtel is one of the best telecommunication service provider in India.
                                    I am sorry to say the quality of signal around Patrakar Colony Ashok Nagar Allahabad is very poor specially the last area.
                                    The problems we are facing are as follows.

                                    1. It takes time to connect the call.
                                    2. Frequent call drop during conversation and redialing hardly connect the call.
                                    3. Poor quality of voice or interrupted voice during conversation.
                                    4. The other end receive poor quality or disturbed voice.
                                    5. Reception of call with in the home are either weak or one sided.
                                    6. Call gets clear only outside of the house or nearby park.

                                    Hope you will look into the matter and will try to solve it at your earliest otherwise our last option will be change of service provider to get rid of the problem, but still hopeful as, airtel has established the name with its best service.

                                      I have transferred rs.350.00 to airtel money app on 24.11.2016 thgh my mobile no. [protected]. Transaction id of the amt transfer is[protected] at 08:01 am. I recd a confirmation message from airtel money and the amt was reflected in airtel money app, but the next day amount was disappeared from my account, neither amt was shown in my airtelmoney a/c nor refunded to my bank account. I complaint the consumer complains site on 22.12.2016 but no satisfactory reply recd from airtelmoney.

                                        I had called almost 12-15 times to get my issue resolved. I was assured that someone will fix it within 24 hours. Last I had spoke to a Supervisor (Dinesh) who said he will get someone to call me back in 48 hours. I work from home and internet is very important for me. Please do something about this horrible experience I had with the Tech Support. Please find the latest Ticket Reference# 76884078.

                                        This is the third ticket in the past one week. There is no response from the team . The call back which is offered is not made.I am being treated very bad by the Customer Care when asked about the issue. I had tried all the methods possible to get my issue resolved. There is no way possible to get the issue resolved. I pay for my Broadband and the internet which is not working for almost 15 days in a month
