I am an airtel customer. On 18/12/2016 I surfed the internet using my internet balance. Suddenly I was notified that my remaining main account balance a sum of 48 rupees had been deducted. But my internet balance was still remaining. We all know that main account balance is deducted only when there is no internet balance left and one still goes on to use the internet. This is highly objectionable. When I talked to the customer care office he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. I urge you to look into the matter.

    At the last when I did not get help from anywhere I am writing about my concern.

    So from last one quarter or so I am facing some financial difficulties and I just did not want to end my relationship with Airtel on a bad note so I chose to contact you guys and inform about my situation asking what best can be done as help from Airtel's end.

    The help they offered me was of no use and they clearly mentioned that they can’t do anything about it, i clearly mentioned that the phase i am going through is very hard and also asked to escalate the matter as I wanted to close it with someone's help but that did not happen and every time I was told that there is nothing we can do.

    I have still paid my bill and i have just got a new job, i decided to port my number and suddenly Airtel called me asking why am I doing so, I started telling and before I could finish my first sentence the call was disconnected on my face with last word from last lady's mouth as ' Sorry for the inconvenience, Goodbye!'

    Isn't this strange, a customer is calling you upfront seeking for some help so that the situation can be dealt in the most possible manner but an organization working at this level behaves as such a customer doesn't mean anything for them and disregards every call of mine.. Their service left me distressed and they were the only ones who did not even address my situation.

    I am very unhappy with the level of service I have got and they almost helped me to go to a depression stage. Their people of the phones are fearless, whenever they want to cut the phone they do, they promise call backs but they never do.

      I applied for Airtel broadband connection 8Mbps speed and unlimited landline calls. I was also insisted that if I pay 5 months advance rental, there will not be any installation charges and a month free internet. So, I paid 5 months rental in advance with tax amounting to 4800 in cash to the Agent Mr Ashok (91 [protected]) from DR Enterprises. On 30th of August 2016 cabling and installation was done. However, in the first week of Sept I noticed that the paid 4800 in cash did not reflect in the MyAirtel Portal and was suspicious as the agent has first come gave an enrollment form(HYD402638) and collected the cheque on Aug 25th. Later he came up saying the process is delayed due to some technical reasons from their end and returned the cheque and tried to collect cash instead. I have insisted for cash receipt for which he said they do not provide any such and showed me a copy of the enrollment form(HYD402639) on his mobile device. I was little suspicious and said I would pay the amount only after the installation of broadband connection and which I did so by collecting the cheque that I have issued earlier after the router was setup.

      Also the installation is not complete as the promised fixed landline is still pending. They said its out of stock and would get back in 2-3 days and its more than a week and still there is no communication from any one on its status.

      On Sept 4th I raised the service ticket (Ref[protected] with 121 through email and MyAirtel portal - "CURRENT PAYMENT NOT POSTED : I HAVE MADE THE PAYMENT BUT IT IS NOT REFLECTING IN MY AIRTEL BILL".

      Have made a follow up with the agent and he said it could a technical issue and would get reflected by September 25th billing date which did not happen and the bill was generated for the full amount (4210.42) that I have already paid with taxes and this followed every month with late payment charges being added to the bill each month.

      Fixed line services have been barred, Broadband speed downgraded to 256kbps as against 8Mbps that was promised and its very unfortunate that a company like Airtel is showing such casual attitude towards complaints raised through 121. During our constant follow up emails they are giving assurances & providing new dates for resolving the issue and the responses are very generic and is always as below or something very similar and I do not think one would need to have call center support through email if the response for everything is just the same copy paste thing.

      After serveral follow ups Mr Ashok one day has come to meet me and has said that one of his colleagues is absconding with all the cash payments and there are several other around 10 + customer like me and requested for a weeks time to resolve the issue and in the meantime if I get any calls from Airtel or his higher authorities he insisted me to convey them that my issue is resolved to which I have denied.

      Have reported the same to Airtel and escalated the issue to both "nodal.[protected]@in.airtel.com" and "appellate.[protected]@in.airtel.com" on Dec 7th. Got an email and all giving assurance that it will be sorted out in the next 72 hours but all in vain. They just keep making false promises and commit wrong dates to which Airtel service reps never stick.

      Not sure if its due to immense pressure from higher authorities Ashok himself has called and came to meet me on Dec 8th and this time has promised to provide a new connection free of cost for 3 months and will help close the existing connection asap and I would not need to pay anything extra from my pocket. However, I asked if the same fixed line number will be active to which he said a new one would be allotted and I denied the offer (I believe this could be the GET Unlimited Internet FREE for 3 months plan from Airtel by paying just 1 month). So, its very evident that DR Enterprises (agents or its employees) have some way of activating Airtel services without making payments to Airtel and then cause inconvenience and panic to customers. I was just suspicious about it all these days but its now evident and can say with confirmation. Whats strange is that Airtel has failed to take an action and resolve the issue since 3 months creates more doubts and involvement of their employees / executives in the fraud.

      Adding to the above, I really would like to know what action is taken by Airtel against DR Enterprises and why is Airtel supporting the fraudulent despite the concern has been raised 3 months back. Does Airtel or any of its representatives have any share in this fraud?

      Airtel is liable to refund the amount in full and pay the compensation for:
      - Failing to resolve the issue that is open since the last 3 months.
      - Not providing the service despite collecting the amount in full for 6 months
      - Downgrading the broadband speed to 256 kbps as against the promised 8 Mbps
      - Affecting the work as the broadband speed of 256 kbps is not sufficient to attend client meetings online from home
      - Harassment from airtel making calls and asking to pay the bill amount, which airtel or its partners have already collected.
      - Had to take alternate connection from Hathway broadband and had to pay them for their services.

      Just an update on the status from my end... An engineer has visited today and the services have been restored. However the main concern is till not addressed which is the payment made to the agent not reflected in the portal. Got call from Airtel appellate and was given assurance that it shall be sorted out soon. Will keep posted.

      Update as of 5th Jan 2017:
      Got a call from appellate and was updated that the billing adjustment of 4111 was made which is incorrect, this should have been INR 4800. Have brought to his notice of the same and discussed the following
      1. Waiver of late payment charges which accounted to almost INR 400
      2. Adjustment of 4800 instead of 4111
      3. Adjustment towards the fixed landline instrument which I have purchased on my own. This should have been provided by Airtel. I was promised that by providing the invoice copy of the landline to airtel an adjustment of 650 will be done to the account. So this should be done as well.
      4. Finally, due to service disruption and slow bandwidth speed of 128 kbps as against promised 8Mbps for almost a month and half, have asked for compensating the benefit period as I have not received Proper benefit due to the inconvenience caused by the billing issue.

        Dear Airtel Team,
        Problem there is a repid debit from main account for data usages.
        Trying to contact the customer care in 1215,
        But Airtel portal is irretating by explainning its past present and future till that the call will not disconnect once the customer care repsentative atten the call with in 15 to 20 sec the call will disconnect. More than 10 times in 45 min irretated and my BP only gone up.

        Main balance is Rs 150+ gone down as Rs 2.09
        If we want to speak with 121 executive charges will be rs0.5/3Min.

        I have received a bill 973.16 for the month of Nov 2016.I observed that new data pack (1/1.5 GB 4G/3G Data free @100) has been added for the number [protected] without my consent for the month of Nov and Dec.
        Requesting you to revert back the changes and send me the latest bill.

          Hi, I requested for a broad band connection and handed over the documents and Rs.1050/- as activation fee Sep 15th 2016. Attached the receipt. I was given with an Airtel A/c no : [protected].
          There was no response from Airtel side thereafter. After 15 days, i followed with Aiter customer care continuously.
          Later Airtel team confirmed that connection was not feasible in my area, and promised amount Rs.1050/- will be refunded in my account within 2 days.
          I have applied for the online refund in the provided website.
          Req id: A0R2d8cd6.
          i have been writing to Airtel for about 3 months, and still refund is not made. Every time they call, will simply give a fake commitment

          I had recharged for 333 rupess planon 3 december 2016 from airtel app itz is showing transcation fail and after few minutes amount of rupees 333 is debited 2 times from my credit card and recharge is done. I want my money back. Kindly look into the matter. Below is my details:

            Sirs,
            In the 1st week of June 2016, I complained to the Customer Care that my internet is not functioning. Next day, they sent a Service Engineer who inspected the line and informed me that the Modem is faulty and I got to replace it. I requested him to do it. He informed that I must get a new Modem, upon which he will come and repair it.
            The Engineer, then and there called Airtel and informed this. I told him that for the last one and half year, I am paying Airtel much much more than usage. I am a one man company and I stay out for 15 days every month. Even on the remaining 15 days when I am in office I don't get time to sit on Net or the net has problem or office electric supply has some problem. Thus my monthly consumption is even less that half g.b, whereas I pay a bill of Rs.500/- + every month. I do not wish to buy a new modem so you must disconnect this Land line. He said it is Customer care job.
            Immediately, on the same day I telephoned Customer care. I told them to disconnect the phone and that I am not willing to purchase a Modem. The Executive who spoke to me asked me to hold on for a minute. He spoke to his Officer, probably. Then he told me that " you are our client for quite a long period ( since 2007 ), hence we will replace the modem free of charge. I said okay. After 2 days the Service engineer telephoned me and asked whether I bought the device or not? I told him what Customer care executive had told me. However he said that he can not carry out repair unless I get a new modem. Then I telephoned Customer Care that my broadband connection must be disconnected with immediate effect. I told him that I paid May bill. If Airtel wants, they may deduct the current half month's phone rent from the deposit or upon intimation I shall pay the same. FROM THAT DAY I STOPPED USING THIS BROAD BAND CONNECTION. I unplugged the broad band internet connection & kept. As far as I am concerned, there ends our relationship reg this connection.
            I locked my office and left for Kerala the next day. When I was in Kerala, a message came to my above mobile number that " the repair is done". IT IS FALSE. No one can enter in my office when I am away.
            From that month, Airtel has been billing me. SMS, phone calls etc. asking payment were received, I explained to maximum no of officers who telephoned me. I sent e mails, I sent a regd post Letter to Bharati Airtel Office at Pune-37. In spite of all this, still no action is initiated to disconnect this broad band line. On the other hand, Airtel's last month's bill is Rs.2, 800/+
            How can the company raise bill on a non-functioning connection? Especially when it is due to faulty device installed by the company. It is totally unfair on the part of the company to trouble me because, even with suffering, even paying heavily ( much more than utilization), I kept our long standing connection active for all these years ( more than 8 years). You honestly check the usage and payment comparison.
            I request that this connection must be cut off, no bills should be levied from June 2016.

            Bills raised exorbitantly though the scheme is for Rs. 600/-. No details of bills - outgoing calls provided. I GB data finished in 4-5 days even if it is not used.

            I have been trying to call few landline numbers in Puducherry from my Airtel Mobile and not able to connect these numbers at all. The call is not even getting through. The same numbers, I can call from other carriers.
            Kindly reactivate my airtel phone number, since it is not been used for a period of 12, months.

              Airtel Team, please wide open your eyes and ears and listen and read what am trying to bring to your deaf ears. I raised a complain regarding the STD calls could not be made to chennai from from my your so called airtel landline nor from your airtel mobile. All your Tele customer care executives have cleverly proved that they can fool the customers easily.

              point 1. one 17.1.2016 iI had discussion with Dinesh Kumar I explained my problem he flasly promised that it would be rectified within 24 hours. (The 24 hours did not came till now)

              point 2. on 19/12/2016 i had discussion with mr. Abhishek he stated saying it will be rectified after sometime (that sometime may be an year or two or 5 years i dont know) he did not come out with specific time. you airtel people have gone from good to bad to worst in handling the customers problems.

              Point 3 iI got a call from [protected] enquiring about my status of complaint when i told there is no improvement he told he would put me to senior manager, but when i called back again at 2:15 the same person with whom i spoke he started saying the department has changed. And put me on hold for 30 mts and then disconnected

                  I registered the complaint with Airtel with respect to th network issue in October with respect to my mobile No [protected], But the issue is not yet resolved Inspite of many commitments from Airtel. Since my complaint is nt resolved I ididn't pay the monthly bill for last 2 months . So they disconnected my connection. I tried contacting the customer care several times, But they are not interested to resolve or give any next level number to contact to resolve my issue. They haven't confirmed that they can't resolve tis issue so that I can port my connection to any other service provider who has signal strenth at my residence. Since my no is barred and no SMS service as well I am unable to do any transactions .

                    An Airtel executive advised us to group all the existing numbers in the company into a single group . we accepted and we were given a new sim which was supposed to be used after the earlier gets disconnected . Now the existing has been disconnected early morning 18th Dec 2016 that's about 40 hours back and the new connection is yet to be established . when we follow up for support the executives have no idea what to answer, they prefer to gain some time and will never revert nor take our calls again .
                    How do we run business ??? we wish to port out from you for others if this is your way of working ...

                      So i had applied for the refund process but i haven't get any positive response from your team, i had used WhatsApp number of yours for the refund process but perviously they were saying that the amount will be credited within two working days but its been 3 months they have't responded neither in mail nor on WhatsApp, its very annoying and unpleasant for me to see such a response from such a high brand.

                        I have been using Airtel's broadband and fixedline services since 2012. I have had problems with their network on and off, but that's alright. About a month ago, I called up Airtel customer service in regards to getting my broadband connection disconnected and retain just my fixedline on a standalone plan. They said an engineer would come for disconnection within 7 working days. That did not happen. He came after about 10 days after multiple calls and requests. Then, i called them to ensure that they are taking off my broadband/fixedline combo plan and just replace that with a standalone plan for my fixedline. They presented all the plans to me, and I chose a Rs. 699 plan which will let me use Rs. 650 worth of calling. But they were constantly pushing me to use on of their plans which included internet data free of cost, whereas I did not want that. Then, i get a call from the Airtel customer retainer-ship team again that would waste 15 minutes of my time every day and try to convince me to take that fixedline that includes some internet data. I would get angry and refuse each time. It has been almost a month now. And they haven't changed my fixedline plan to Rs.699 and they have my broadband connection still ON. I have cleared all my dues ( on time) so far and have nothing pending to pay them.My reference number with them is 76582806. This reference number was given to me by Priyanka, a supervisor there. I have spoken to Ambika, Rajni, Neeraj and Monika so far and all of them have been very rude to me and would not listen to me at all. I tell them to do something, and they have something else written in their notes. I am so tired now and lost so much of my time on this that I have decided to disconnect my fixedline, record a case against them with the local Police Station for mental harassment and publicly post about my grievances in social networking sites. They have lost my trust and have pissed me off to the limit. If they send me a hefty bill, I am not going to pay that as well. Hence, i humbly request you to help me out with this if possible as early as you can.

                          Airtel Team is doing DATA Fraud in my SIM from last 1 year as the DATA is getting consumed automatically without using any internet. My two months bill of 6K is FRAUD. The same was observed from so many days and when i complained about this in october 2016 month even airtel national escalation team realized and they have told they are working on this issue but still no action has been taken. If the issue is from their end then until the issue is closed they should not ban the mobile connection but unfortunately my number has been barred now.

                                I've ported my Vodafone sim to airtel!
                                Airtel service asked me to wait for 7 working days and on the 7th day night my old sim went to out of service and I inserted the black airtel sim which was given to me but it was visible only for two hours then now my number is in position of out of service!
                                I seriously dono wen it wil get activated and no information regarding that.. I'm damn irritation plus my alternative is not with me currently ..

                                  I recharged my Airtel Dth with 2, 123/- of 1 year subscription.but after 7th month it's been expired.When i called customer service they started telling me higher authorities will be calling me within 4hrs but nobody called me so i called again and again i got same response but i strictly told them to resolve it right now then they transferred to superior and he said you have to call customer service after every recharge for activation or else it will just deduct per day normally.
                                  point no 1.There is no sign or any note in guidelines book or recharge app that you have to call after every recharge to activate the offer.
                                  THEN HOW A COMMON CUSTOMER GET TO KNOW AFTER EVERY RECHARGE HE HAS TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE??
                                  The same question i asked him he told now you got the expericence you will get to know.So customer has to realise like me after 7 months after recharge then he has call three times so that customer service representatives will play with us and then if customer gets more and more angry and upset then they will let us know.

                                    On 15 Dec 2016 I was searching for my best offer on our 121service. When I selected rs 97 data plan to view details it got activated immediately without my confirmation i.e. to activate plan user has to confirm activation of plan by pressing number 1. So in my case that plan got activated without proper procedure. In the context of above issue I spoke with your customer care executive Mr Liladhar on 198 call. I was trying to convey him that the rs 97 plan got activated due to technical malfunction so please register my complaint and deactivate the plan but he refused to take my complaint and he was saying that your complaint is invalid and he can not deactivate the plan. As he was not taking my complaint I am sending this mail to you. I hope that you will take my complaint into consideration and whatever may be the outcome let me know. I also wanted to mention that I am using your service since last 6 years and never faced such type of issue up till now. I hope you will never let me down.Thanking you.

There was some concept primary connection and secondary. But now when I bought the landline connection, no one is providing information regarding this.

                                        This is regarding my old airtel account (Ref: [protected]),
                                        This account which was originally cancelled back in december 2015, a payment of 5690 was made to airtel for the full and final, and we called to request a cancellation of the account.

                                        However after about 3 months we started receiving calls form a collection agent that this account was active and over the last months has accumulated a balance of rs11, 428 (We were not in the country, hence the account wasn't being used),

                                        Unsure what this amount was about, we called and spoke to customer service, they denied that we made any calls to cancel the account.
                                        However they were willing to negotiate this amount and offered us a full and final settlement post the payment of rs. 6290,
                                        - which to me is even more alarming, because if this rs11, 428 was a legitimate amount how is airtel waving off thousands of billed charges?

                                        Learning from our past mistake, we demanded this conversation to be sent on an official mail before we make any further payment.

                                        We recieved an email promptly from airtel (Please find attached) and
                                        A representative came the same day to our residence to collect the payment, he suggested we made this payment by cash, so that the matter can be closed asap. We made a cash payment of rs.6290 to the fellow.

                                        We were finally relieved when we received a confirmation from airtel, the receipt of payment on the 28th of march 2016. (However it erroneously calls this a cheque payment, which it is not - at the time we ignored that error)
                                        The chapter was considered closed!

                                        Pfa a copy of the email to authenticate this claim - i have an official mail from airtel validating the same (On 27thmarch 2016) requesting a full and final payment of rs. 6290.
                                        Also, airtel payment receipt number[protected], date of receipt-28th march2016.

                                        But it does not end here!!

                                        After 8 months, yesterday, i get a legal notice for the same account. This time for another fictitious inflated amount of rs.17767.92!!!

                                        Where did this amount come from... On an expired account?

                                        I feel extremely harassed by airtel. A legal notice is no joke!'

                                        How and why should i have to deal with this?
                                        I have tried calling and talking to airtel. Logic does not work with them. They seem utterly clueless, offer no resolution and it seems like they don't even understand your concern.

                                        This feels like they are just fleecing money from unsuspecting customers - using scare tactics. It truly is shameful.

                                        I have been using airtel services forever, i do not expect such actions from a company of good repute. Truly disappointed.

                                        Also, the number on the legal notice is switched off?
                                        What is one supposed to do.

                                        Hoping for a response.
