I ported out to Airtel from Vodafone on my friends recommendation a little over 6 months ago.
The service I have received is appalling.
In the very first month, I had called up the service center to have them change my billing address which has not been done to date. My license has been provided as proof which does not mention this as the address.
While enrolling for the plan, I was charged an extra Rs. 300 which was a security deposit. I was told by the agency that Rs. 100 would be deducted from my fourth to the sixth bill cycle. This too has not been done.
Last month, I was charged for late payment. My airtel account has been linked to my bank and for some reason the bank failed to make the payment on time although I had gone to netbanking and instructed the payment. I had a call with the customer care executive who told me the charges are reversed. Yet, the charges show in this months bill plan.
Two months ago, I had called the customer care executive to complain about unfair internet charges. The lady said she would have a senior call me up as she was unable to resolve the issue. This again did not happen. I was left waiting for a call and decided to just make the payment.
As for the internet charges in my bill for the cycle Aug - Sept (the outstanding bill), I was not sent a single message warning me about my internet usage. Further, a notification setting on the airtel application which I use on my iPhone does not send me any notification. On speaking with a customer care executive, I was informed that I had not exceeded the internet allowance. Yet, in my past two or three bill cycles, I have been charged for excessive internet usage.
How can you'll call yourselves India's leading mobile service provider when youll lag in customer support. I have never faced such issues with vodafone, However I have had to take out time to call the airtel customer care center on multiple occasions, all in vain. Also, no security deposit has been deducted. Have I been fooled by an airtel authorized vendor?
I would request you to sort this issue out at the earliest else you'll are one step away from losing a a customer who you'll claim to value. I will take this matter up if justice is not provided. I would only pay a maximum of Rs.1000 for this months bill cycle due to such a massive inconvenience caused. It has been happening almost every month and I have just let it go.
This must end. I request you to resolve this issue before my due date so I can make my payment on time.
If you are unable to solve this issue, I would like to take the matter up with the appellate authority.
