Dear Airtel

This is to inform you regarding a very strange behaviour which has been happening in the IIT Campus since the past few months.

(a) Mobile screen shows SIM Card update started every now and then. I asked some of the people around me and they also said the same thing. I am wondering if AIRTEL is tapping my phone and barging in to my privacy.

(b) My family members live in South India (Tamil Nadu). It is very strange that my family members are able to make a call at my phone, but when I call them a voice at Airtel says (the machine response) "The telephone number does not exist". Well! The response of a super intelligent Airtel official would be "Prefix a zero". I checked, double checked and triple checked, with and without fixing a zero and the same response is obtained. Naturally enough the problem is with UP East because the message is in Hindi and English. TN airtel gives the error message in Tamil and English.

(c) One can never get through the complaint registration system of Airtel UP. Perharps there is nobody sitting at the portal. Everybody is too busy goofing up the public's money and giving service unworthy of value.

So please, our super intelligent horsey mouths of Airtel, maybe you could tighten up the losers sitting in cosy ACs and doing nothing at the UP Airtel office.

u r not even able to hold a plan stable. u r providing a unworthy service. u don't have reach to customers. u better close ur company else think and up ur company. u r providing a unworthy service. u r asking me to pay for ur service. just look after the other operators vodafone, aircel. how they are
Dear Airtel,

I understand that the response that you gave is one of the most customary and therefore horrendous. The complaint was to draw the attention of Airtel officials to a problem of the system rather than the individual one.

Next time, when you respond, also indicate the language which you understand the best. In that way the communication would be more fruitful. We are probably not even tired of recruiting people who cannot even understand a word of the complaint.

    I am from Perungudi area, Chennai.

    Trusting Airtel, I took 2 mobile connections and Broadband connection from Airtel. I have never been an Airtel fan, but heard good about them and thought I will try it out. Turned out to be one of the worst decisions in my life.

    Let us start with Broadband problems. Though the salesman said connection will be given in 2 days, after numerous calls and literally begging for the connection they did the mercy on the 10th day. They seem to have some kind of SLA that binds them to give connection within 10 days. Since "they" had to give the connection on that day, they didn't bother to use the available internal wiring to provide the connection. I agreed for external wiring after they promised me that they will do the internal wiring next day. Those people never turned up after that.
    The wiring is of very low standard, and they pulled the cable from 2 blocks away on top of the terrace along with all the electrical and cable TV cables, taking it into my house through a window. I got the connection in June 2009. Today is 10-April-2010.
    From the very next week onwards, I am facing frequent disconnections. The internet will drop off every now and then, without any noticeable pattern. The modem link will go down and come back again. After many complaints and many many "technicians" visits, they decided to change the modem. After this it was OK for about a week and the problem started again. Again started calling them, shouting, begging, falling on their feet to spare me the pain.. no result till now. They will take the complaint and agree to "update" us. Apparently, the call center people can only take complaints and update it. Someone else actually works on the complaint. When I want to talk to the Manager, he is busy on other calls. May be all the customers are having "Frequent disconnection" problem :-p
    In between one day when the connection seemed somewhat stable, I decided to download a couple of files each around 1 GB. Activated Speed on Demand and started downloading. After about 3-4 hours on 2mbps, the connection was lost and the download was broken. This was a website that detected download manager softwares and blocked them. So had to download directly using IE. I immediately called Airtel and told them the story, again to hear the same lines... we will take the complaint sirrrr... :-p... I asked them "What about the money I lost because of SOD?" .. no answer.. and the bill came including the SOD amount. Very prompt on that.

    Coming to the Mobile, the worst problem is when some calls, or even when I call between my numbers, I get to hear that "The number does not exist" message. :)
    Network is so congested that during the evening times you can forget making STD calls. When I am in a crowded place like Spencer plaza, I can never be contacted on my Airtel phone. "The number does not exist" message. Another problem is similar to the broadband, the connection shamelessly drops off.

    Till today the problems are unresolved.. and I am still waiting like a fool hoping that some miracle will happen and a day will come when I will get value for the money I am paying to Airtel. The worst problem is that there is literally no escalation mechanism. I could only call the customer "care" number. And they are authorised only to take complaints...

    This is manohar from chennai, iam very sad to say that some
    executative response are very bad and doesnt know the right informatiion, one
    of your executive irresponse iam facing the problem .i wish to change plan from
    my current plan, so i choosen fastest Turbo 75 GB-Airtel/tn/fl16 plan and i
    given request for plan changes to airtel customer care, on the same day i
    seeen turbo 150GB plan so i little bit confused for which plan is suitable for
    me . at that time i get cal from rajeswari airtel migration department for
    conformation cal, i said give 4days time let u know later about which plan i
    need, she said we cant wait for four days automatical ur new plan request will
    b canceled, i said ok i wil give again request after choosen plan later, after
    chossen my new plan i given request to customer care, he take request, again
    i get cal from chadran migration department, he said ur plan wil generate
    from jully, bcoz of less days processing we cant change your new plan this
    month, he said atleast minimum 5days b4 want to give request for plan changes, i had talked lot of time to customer care but no one said about, minimum
    5days need to change plan, even rajeswari spoken me from migration department, she said about we cant wait 4days automatical plan wil b cancel, only she
    said like this, she not at informed at that time that 5days required minimum
    for plan change, if she say abt this information to me means, i wont ask that
    four days time, strictly i wil say for plan change conformation, after spoken
    to chndran from migration department only came to know abt 5days required for
    plan changes, now i hope u can understand about my situvation, for your
    executative irresponse, i want to wait another one month, sir i need that
    4mbps plan compulsory this month june 17th on wards,

    plese understand my situvation and arrange my new plan offer from this month
    17th of june .

      This is my complaint againt the airtel bharti the cellulare this company is nothing but full of cheat people this company has no regards of the customer and what all services the company is giving to the customer.
      This are my complaints towards the company and the service provider :
      1: my calls were being transfered or forward with out my concent to another no. this was an illegal offence of the compant for which i have decided to do a case againt the company in the consumer court.
      even after complaing about it i got a call from the delhi corporate office and thak greek person did nothjing but just v r looking forward to solve your complaint and i have not yet received and solution to my complaint as yet.
      2:This is my complaint againt the mobile office section of the airtel prepaid section i got my
      MOactivated on 13 feb on the account of which i ws charged 98 Rs and then ws able to use the internet after receiving the msg that internet is active on your no. and them as soon as i used the service i was being harged the amount of 30p/50kb and this plan was not that i demanded of and because of which i lost 30 Rs from my account.the after a month as my net continued and i was using the same service it got the renewl msag on 12 of mar and to which i recharged my account on the same day and my balance was deducted the same on 13th mar to which till this date i am being given these fake assurence that sir your money would be refunded bla 2.the customer care service is also chargeble at the rate of 50p now so Mr bharti is just enjoyinmg the money of the consumer and not looking in the services that should be taking care of.
      after so many complaints about the same for 15 days and burning my money like paper on the customer care service i came to solution to lauge a complaint in the tele communication department of india and to the brand abassader of the company about the cheating and fake behaviour of the company to the customers.
      kindly refund my money pls refund in 24 hours.

        I have tried to make calls from my Airtel Pre-paid Mobile No [protected]. The outgoing as well as incoming calls automatically gets dropped after 10 seconds. I have cheked with other Airtel subscribers, they have confirmed to have been facing similar problems since[protected]. Due to this the conversation is interrupted and if we try to call again we keep on facing line dropping problems again and again. Each time we call the balance gets reduced even though the conversation has just initiated. I feel Airtel should refund fully the debited call charges forthwith, because either there is a Network failure at their end or else it is due to some ulterior motive to recover extra revenue from the prepaid customers.

        I appeal you please take up the matter with Airtel Nodal Officers, Mumbai or the Appropriate Authority and resolve the problem at the earliest

            SIM CARD — problems in outgoing

            I took a vodafone sim card from vodafone store at Mahindra City, Chennai. After some days between 8PM till morning 8 A.M. a outgoing problem started. Whenever I try to make a call a voice in tamil says something about application form and id proof. I complained at vodafone store 3 times but they said your all documents are OK, from today onwards you will not have problems. Even I resubmitted my proofs but nothing happend and I am still having the problem.
            Also a caller tune has been activated without I doing anything.

            Please help me.

            Airtel Pre Paid Card — Deduction of Rs. 3 on Unsolicited message on Airtel Prepaid

            Hello,

            On my mother's Airtel number [protected], we have continually been getting unsolicited Thought of the Day messages from the number 290603.

            Each time we receive this message, Rs. 3 gets deducted from our account balance. We have NOT subscribed to this service. On calling customer service, they were extremely unhelpful and said she has no record of such images and could not stop it.

            Please find attached the screenshots of a few of the messages received.

            It is my request to a senior official from Airtel to stop these messages and this obviously rampant abuse of public trust.

            Airtel Pre Paid Card — SIM card problem

            Sir,

            I am prepaid card holder Mobile no.[protected]. Since three days i am persisting with a problem i.e. M chek message from Airtel and without accessing this message Rs.15/- deducted from my account. All the time while attending any call, making any call and accesscing with handset, automatically phone is disconnect and every time m chek message displaying on the screen. I am neither able to contract any body nor make any call. to switch off the phone I have to remove the battery otherwise whole the night the same message is repeating. please help me out and solve my problem immediately.

              Hi,

              Please assist me with the complaint number for Airtel South Zone Head Office.

              I am from Bangalore and I have a big problem with the Customer Care harassing us for non payment which actually is a billing error on the part of Airtel. The Error has been admitted by the customer care and their managers but still they continue to call us for Non-payment and have also disconnected our phone.

              Kindly treat this as urgent and assist a reputed airtel customer.

                Hi All,

                I have applied for a new broad band connection on dated 09/06/11.

                Its today 7days is over, But the instalation has not yet been done, when I raised an issue with the C-care, They are giving hundreds of reason for delay like. Copper not available, Port not avalable, Tech isue etc.

                My wonder is, why did they accept my application if they doesn't have sufficient instalation requirements.

                  My name is Roiden Serrao and my cell no is [protected]. On March 25, 2010 I recharged Rs.23 done towards night calling offer between 11 pm to 6 am in the morning. That is getting charged Rs.1 for 20 minutes of talk time. The recharge transaction ID -[protected] for Rs.23. I use to make a call on my wife's mobile number which is an Airtel number. However this plan did not work and I got charged more than what I was expected to get charged. I have not talked more than 17 to 18 minutes per call since I was using this plan in the past. I have also placed a complaint by phone twice or thrice but I have not got my refund back nor did the plan got updated on the my mobile. I don't understand how Airtel had charged me but has not given the service to me. I would like the night calling to be updated on my mobile and also the refund placed back on my card for which I was charged towards the calling which I have made more than two minutes after 11 pm till 6 Am. Please refund all the charges which I was charged in excess. My complaint number that I got from Airtel as on April 2, 2010 was [protected] / CBDPA[protected]. Please look into this complaint ASAP.

                    I received a message me that I got an mms. To retrieve the message, I need to go to page http://125.21.241.88/mms and login with my user name and password. As soon as I enter these information, I get a message telling that my session has expired. What is the resolution for this ?

                    Airtel — MMS issue bad customer support

                    Hi

                    this is in regard to the MMs issue i am facing with mobile no [protected] i have complained regarding this on 8/8/08 on 11:20 am with complaint no[protected] the customer care executive gave the commitment of 12aug 11:19am even at that time it was not sorted out then again when i called they said me it will be done on 13th by 4:30pm
                    thenon 15/8/07 again mr tippesh took my complaint and told me it will be resolved by 24 hrs when i called the next day they said it will be sorted by 19/8/08 by 1:30 but till now its not sorted out my problem is i cannot send mms it says failed and if someone sends an mms it gives a weblink and says please visit airtel.in wih a passcode when we go to the link it says page not found now i am trying to call the customer care they have blocked my calls to customer care it says please send your query in 140 characeters to 121 they will get back to me in 24 hrs i dont understand what the problem is and how to get it resolved the customer care people will do nothing more than taking a complaint please help me get my problem resolved

                        Student — sir please start airtel online service

                        dear sir
                        this is dileep from karnataka. my request is please start the Airtel online as a monthly pack.because other company have alredy this service with low cost. the cost of GPRS in airtel is very high. daily we cant pay 20rps/day the GPRS cost is very high.normal people cannot use this service so could you please start GPRS service for mobile within 60-80rps per month. (my suggestion is put downloading charges extra.for browsing keep it as free)

                          sir I connect n0 [protected] your computer says number is not valid but I connect no [protected] then no is connected .so fault in your software . pl correct your software. custmercare operater not registered my comlaint .my reference no is [protected] . my mobile no is [protected] . why is mistake in your software we suffix 0 before or not. In other operater like dolphin mtnl ,idea , bsnl .there is no mistake this type if you not corrected this type mistake otherwise we write to try .mc sharma

                            i am aspin using ur airtel prepaid connection for last three years with no:[protected]
                            this sim was damaged [now its on working condition not properly] i brought a duplicate sim from airtel office kollam[jerome nagar] they said me the sim was active after 4 hours [at the time 11 30 am] now the time is 6 30 pm the sim was not active,and the airtel exicutives insult me. so please do something fast as u possible

                            I have taken a duplicate sim for mobile number[protected] on 19.09.2008 from Airtel Shoe Room, Sector-12, Noida(U.P).There is Mr. Sanjay Whose No is [protected], he promised that the new sim will be activate within 4 hours but till now that sim is not activate.

                            AirTel — Didnt activate new SIM as per timescales given

                            One of the worst customer service providers are AIRTEL there have so ad's about how big they business is expanding but when it comes to serving customers there are the worst. Worst are the people who work for the company have no answers to queries and not ready to take any Ownership just believe in passing the blame very conveniently. I had taken a new connection and was told that it would be activated within 4 hours by the dealer since it was friday i gave it some time but when it was not done on saturday i had called the company and was told by the associate that it takes 24 working hours and since that time is not yet passed to wait untill that time frame.

                            Having waited for 24 working hours as of monday and no phone being activated, i called up customer care again and was told to wait before a complaint could be raised. Pathetic service being driven away rather then taking the blame and working on a resolution. Since i was leaving on a vacation i wanted the phone activated to carry it along with me. Called again and raised the complain was told that it would resolved with 48 working hours, still thought since i would be travellling when i actually arrive the phone would be activated by then. Called customer care again and asked for a supervisor who was fit for nothing Ms Sunitha rani, she spoke worse then the house keeping people that work at my office. No responsibilty no ownership nothing typical goverment working indian service. All that she asked me to do was wait untill the service failure would be resolved. She promised me a call back from her supervisor its been 15 days now and am still waiting.

                            The phone was finally activated on the following week friday, failing there so called service failures that were raised, however with airtel the suprises still continued when i was called and was told that the phone was activated the very next itself.

                            I sincerely request you people not to take any dealings with this company. You will be royally fooled.
                            I am purchased Airtel Sim at Howrah at 9.30 P.M, Today 19.09.2009 above sim card vide No. [protected] not yet activated till time at 3.00 P.M . Pls see the above No, and activate as soon as poosible .

                            I am an Airtel mobile subscriber. I had lost my mobile on 13 Jul 10 and applied for a duplicate SIM - as per the procedure - in the evening at around[protected]h. I was told that it would be activated within 12 hrs. However, even today - 14 Jul 10 at 1000h it is still inactive. It is hampering my operations significantly. On checking with your helpline, I have been told that it will now be activated by 1200h on 16 Jul 10. My complaint no for today is 33143802. I hope the executive concerned is held accountable and taken to task for this poor service since this is not expected from a company like Airtel in this competitive market. Also, can the activation be expedited please? Could u please let em know the disposal/status at my email id '[protected]@gmail.com' ? Hoping for an early disposal and reply.
                            I am a airtel customer and i have many complaints on airtel
                            1: no network is there in villages
                            2: airtel offices are not available nearby
                            3: cant tell complaints to customer care executives as they did not attend call
                            I am Jose Mathews working in SBI and am being using airtel connection since 2006. Two days back I received an sms offering me airtel to airtel calls @ paise 10 per minute and i recharged with the required Rs 80 ec. That night I could call airtel @ ps 10 but from next day onwards all calls are charged paise 60 per call per minute which earlier was paise 50 only. I have called 121 and talked with the customer care executives different times and finally i received a reply sms referring a number CBNRA[protected] -may be a complaint number. Since no remedy is made till now even though the executive offered me to clear the complaint before 15/9/2011 12.45 pm, i tried to contact the executive through 121 number but my calls are not forwarded to customer care executives now. We, a group of prayer group members use airtel and i took the offer to have our evening group prayer through phone. Kindly look into the matter urgent and enable me the offer at the earliest and for the offered period.

                              In my family member there are 4 airtel connection becoz i was thinking airtel is best and no doubt it was gud but last 8-9 months i am fed up from the service of it. i can't do the easy recharge of 240/- or 340/- but the recharge of 60/- 90/- 120/- are done easily i don't no why. whenever i do easy recharge it is unsuccessfull and after calling customer care they say to recharge after 12 hour and when i reharge it is successfull wat is the problem. This means that whenever i have to recharge first i call to customer care then i recharge why should i do this. not from one dealer i tried it from many dealer. as i am working in Dish customer care i am in roaming from 15 to 20 days for my office work and i have to recharge every 10 to 15 days i am fed of this problem pls help me.

                                  Iam a customer of airtel broadband service since 14 months.My transactions with airtel went on fine for the first 6 months after which there was no proper collection center at my place and we were left aloof about where to pay the bills.From then onwards the problem started,people from madurai used to instruct us to pay in some lacation in our native place after the last date.Still march 2010 there was no proper franchisee and there was lot many inconvenience in paying the bill.So we decided to cancell the connection,despite our complaints the company keeps on billing us every month even after disconnecting the line,claiming that our line is still alive.They also instructed us to send a cancellation email to [protected]@airtel.in,where within 24 hrs they shall process our request but even after 240 hrs there was no reply from them.Now I had received this month bill also,if i ask about their office whereabouts,they say some wrong address and lame excuses.I want to lodge legal action against the company,please help me.My cell no:[protected].

                                      since past few days i have been going through
                                      mental stress due airtel prepaid service

                                      that sir, i have purchased a sim on
                                      04/03/10(airtel prepaid). All the necessary documents
                                      were submitted. But a month later the connection
                                      was closed there were no messages or calls from
                                      customer care. i contacted the retailer and i was asked
                                      to re submit the documents. i submitted again on
                                      05/04/10. but yesterday i was told to buy new

                                      sim as they would not be able to activate it.

                                      that sir, i had quite a balance . i don't want to
                                      buy new sim as it was not my fault.

                                        i was taken an airtel digitel tv connection in december for package is 2790 for one year at the time installaing the set up box south top up telugu channels and other channals reguarly what ever they are giving but now i am not getting telugu channels after 4 months , at the time of installation what they told all telugu channels u can get like that they told now i am not getting the telugu channels
                                        please immediately you have to rectify the problem or other wise you can remove the setup box
