I had made a request for on line transfer of funds from my axis bank account to my fathers account at idfc first bank. The payee/beneficiary was registered and a trial amount of rs.10, 000 was first transferred successfully to the beneficiary.
Subsequently another online request was made to transfer rs.25, 00, 000 to same beneficiary. The amount was debited from account but two hours later the amount was credited back to my savings account. The reason given for reversal is code "r05" which subsequently the branch staff informed me refers to details of payee not matching.
This explanation looks silly and unsatisfactory because a trial amount of rs.10, 000 was already transferred to same beneficiary.
I have incurred a loss of rs.1, 00, 000 due to delay in this transfer. I would like axis bank to reimburse this amount.
Axis Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
