Irresponsible Cleartrip

Hi,

I had booked DELHI-->CAIRO return flight by Oman Air through ClearTrip for 30Nov-10Dec. To my horror, just after 3-4days of booking the flight, I found out that the said flight does not exist because the connecting flight schedule had been changed such that before my arrival at Muscat, the connecting flight to Cairo would have already left.

Neither ClearTrip nor the airline bothered to inform me of this...

Fake discounts offer

The discount is applicable only to the Base Fare. Cleartrip has cleverly reduced the Base fare to Rs1 and increased the Fuel surcharge with the same amount. This is only for the alleged Offer period from 15 Sept to 30 Sept when you try to redeem the coupons.
The SPICEJET site shows a base fare of Rs. 501 while CLEARTRIP has cleverly changed it to Rs.1 on their site.

Unjustified display of false prices

I was trying to book an air ticket from Delhi to San Francisco for December 2010. Obviously, I went to every travel site and compared the rates. Surprisingly, every airline was offering a fare of around INR 56000 but Cleartrip alone was offering the same flight at INR 51211. I started booking the flight and eventually when I entered all my details, it said the flight is not available at that rate. The new rate that it showed was Rs. 55600+....

Fraudulent Policies

Fraudulent Buy one get one free policy

On the guise of an anniversary offer cleartrip has been offering one ticket free (base fare only) on any ticket purchased in july 2010. Not only are there numerous conditions that need to be fulfilled to get the "free ticket" it in effect works out to only a Rs. 500 odd discount per ticket.

BUT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE CANCELLATION POLICY.

Cleartrip does not respond to unauthorized charges deducted

I had booked a ticket with Cleartrip with their trip ID[protected] by paying Rs423.Later I cancelled it and I recieved a mail on Friday 23/4/10 stating that the ticket is cancelled and the refund amount is Rs.356. Again on 26/4/10, I recieved a mail saying the refund is processed and Rs.316 would be refunded to my bank A/c. How this has happened.Totally they have deducted Rs.107.

According to their 1st mail I would loose 19%...
