MY EXPERIENCES as a customer of CROMA ( a Tata Company) who purchased a Apple Desktop and 2 years extended warranty from CROMA.
April 21st, 2013 ( Day 1) - I faced problem with the keyboard and the DVD drive of my Apple Desktop
April 22st, 2013 (Day 2) - I made a complaint with Croma Extended warranty call center about the same and I was told that with in 48 hours your complaint will be attended by their service representative organization M/s F1 Info Solutions and services). My complaint number is 79863
April 23rd, 2013 ( Day 3)- Mr. Durga Prasad of F1 Solutions visited my home to attend to my complaint. He inspected the system, asked me to to type on keyboard ( most of the keys were not working) and also tried the DVD drive by playing some DVD's. he said that these two need to be replaced and
asked me to provide the xerox copies of the bill and the extend warranty receipt (Luckily my printer has copying facilities so I manage to get the copy of the same otherwise i had to go out and get the copies done). The same was given to him and he provided us with a piece of paper of Tata AIG as "JOB CARD" with Jon ID no. 82944 with a status mentioned as "Pending for keyboard and DVD Drive. He mentioned that these two parts need to be replaced and it will be done next day or two.
April 25th, 2013 ( Day 4)
After waiting for two days, I called up the F1 Solutions & Services office to check what;s going on, they informed me that that have already requested Tata AIG for their approval and waiting for the approval from them. I should call up Tata extended warranty for the current status.
I called up the customer care of Tata AIG to check the status, they asked me to call up the F1 Solutions, when I told that i have been told by that i have contacted F1 Solution and they have asked me that they are waiting for approval from Tata AIG. After lots of request and assertiveness, he asked me to wait for some time, he will follow up and will come back to me. He never called me back, so i decided to call back F1 Solutions and they informed me that they have got the approval and now they are ordering the parts and will be replaced by Friday evening.
April 26th, 2013 (Day 6)
since there was no call from Tata as well as F1 solutions on the status, once again i called up the F1 Solutions, and they ( Mr. Hari Prasad) told me that the parts are being dispatched today and it will be replied positively by 27th.
April 27th, 2013 (Day 7)
nothing moved , no progress, I called up F1 once again and they ( Mr. Hari Prasad) once again changed the date and asked me that unfortunately the parts are being dispatched today so it can only be replaced by Monday.
April 30th, 2013 ( Day 10)
when i did not hear anything, I called up he Tata extended warranty once again and after lots of request managed to speak to the supervisor Mr. SANDEEP JAISWAL who told me that every things is approved but the parts are not avail be from Apple so that are arranging the same and positively by Friday May 3rd things will be replaced, he also mentioned that he will ensure that this is dome positively before friday.
In the after noon Mr. Durga Prasad visited my home and asked me that they need the serial number of the system and DVD and he require to open the system. When I contested the same and told thenm that Tata extended warranty customer care has told me that every things is approved wand they are only waiting for parts and it will be dome by Friday, he connected me to his superior mr. Haro Prasad, and he informed me that without the serial number, there will be no approval and without approval the parts cannot not be procured and replaced…..this was complete contradiction from their earlier version as well as what Mr. Sandeep Jaiswal of Tata extended warranty told me. I asked Mr. Hari Prasad since I am getting totally contradictory information from you as well as between their and Tata extended warrant y information so please send me a email with CC to Tata extend warranty guys so that I should have the exact information on what is going on. He did not send the mail and after around 15- 20 minutes, Mr. Durga Prasad has told me that his seniors has told him that the problem will be directly taken care by Croma and he returned back.
In the mean time I also received the call from Mr. Vasudev Kumar of Croma Online and he confirmed that he will check the status and come back to me….later he informed me that yes, positively my problem will be resolved positively by Friday May 3rd. He confirmed that he has spoke with senior management of Tata extended warranty, their service provided and i should wait for couple of days and by Friday the things will be taken care of. he also told me to contact him for any information or status.
May 3rd, 2013 (day 13) - I waited till afternoon of Friday,but there was no information or stasis on my complain, I decided to call up Mr. Vasudev Kumar of Croma Online as he told me to contact him to get the status on my problem. When I spoke to him, he was surprised that no one attend my problem till now, he requested me to allow him few minutes and he will come back to me. When he did not call back once again I called him up and he informed me around 4:30 Pm) that within half an hour their guys will visits my place and parts will be replaced…..nothing happened till 6:30 so i had to call him up again and he again said that he will call me back.
In the mean time around 7 PM Mr. Ramesh of Croma Custimer care called up and told me that some one will be visiting my place to replace the parts within 30 minutes…..and he also asked me that i can contact him if my problem is not resolved within one hour.
After some time around 7:30 PM Mr. Vasudev Kumar called me top and mentioned that actually the part they had ordered were oder wrongly so that have received the wrong part which was coming only as an excuse of delaying the matter further as I am sure all the Bluetooth keyboard of apple desk top and DVD drives are same. I requested him that pleas do not now tries to come with another excuse of trick and if you can't do anything please do not unnecessary keep giving me excuses.
Croma- when extended warranty was sold to me, they never mentioned not it is written anywhere in my bill and extended warranty that it is not a warranty but an insurance where the insurance party is TATA AIG and whenever there is complaint with my Apple desktop it will be dealt as the care insurance is dealt with.
Ate around 8:30 Mr. Ramesh as called up that sorry, I have to allow him till 12 noon on saturday (Today) and he will ensure that things are taken care of.
May 4th, 2013 It's already 3:45 PM but i have no information from any one from Croma, customer care, Croma Online, Tata extended warranty…..to me this whole experience is reflecting on the customer care attitude of Brand Tata…seems the senior management is sleeping and do not have time to look into their customer problem……

Croma 1.5 Ton AC — AC not being repaired
I Purchased an croma branded AC from croma 1 month back. Within a month it has stopped cooling. It has been 2 weeks since I am calling them and asking for repair. No use. I have made up my mind to take them to consumer court.Bought it from Jublee hills store in Hyderabad.
