I have purchased FORD FIGO car on 24th May, 2011 from Lathangi Ford at Bannerghata Road opposite to IIM Bangalore. On 24th October night at 10:30PM when I was returning home with my family, my car front tyre got bursted. I could somehow control the speed and thank God we were safe. On inspection I found that it was not due to puncture but due to some manufacturing defect. I took the tyre to the dealer and kept for company's inspection as per their advice. However to my great disappointment they reported that since the opening was on the side wall of the tyre, warranty cannot be given. This I felt is just mere cheating. Since they can give any reason to protect themselves. When car runs bottom part of the tyre will be in constant touch with the road and side wall cannot open up by bursting unless there is a manufacturing defect.

Hi Choudhuri,

Same happened to me today 13th Nov 2011. Cars front Tyre burst (right side) I was travelling with my family and I wanted to park the car in the parking area The car was moving in 30 KM/hr suddenly the Tyre burst and sidled away hitting the Platform. I called Ford they told me the same + they said its because of the Nitrogen Air. I thought Good year is good company.

It is a BIG disappointment for me to become a customer of Ford Figo and Good Year Tyres. I am facing a very same issue as D B CHOUDHURI stated above. The rear tyre bursted when I was traveling with my family and some how I escaped a major accident. Ford came up with a response on 2nd December 2011 for the complaint logged on 28/10/2011 i.e more than a month. The same standard Good Year report has been sent to me that tyre has a damage on side wall and warranty cannot be given. These tyre have a serious manufacturing fault which should be inspected and company should call off the product from the market and give tyre replacement to the consumers already suffering from the under performing tyres. It will be a sole responsibility of the company and Tyre manufacturer, if any mishappening or damage happens to the consumer due to ignorance in this issue.

Date of purchase: 19th June 2011
Model - Ford Figo Titanium Diesel

Ford Figo Car having above details was fitted with 14 inch Good Year Tyres ( Tubeless - Size 175/65 R14). One right rear tyre busted from 3 different place on highway at the same time considering the fact that the car was driven for ONLY about 5000 KM at that time. Air pressure was as prescribed. This Good Year tyre had a serious underperformance issue and posed a life threat to me including my family.

On taking up this issue with the Bhagat Ford Ludhiana, I found no listener of the issue and on insisting after couple of hours they agreed to consult Engineer from Good Year, and asked me to wait for 1 week as the engineer visit on Tuesdays only. I received no feedback from Bhagat Ford Ludhiana regarding the inspection status of the tyre. The Tyre till date has not been sent to the Lab for Inspection and is still lying with Bhagat Ford.

Tyre is still lying with Bhagat Ford Ludhiana unattended. Please find the Repair Order details below –

Considering the long relation with Ford as we have half a dozen Ford Cars in the family, I except Ford will live up to their name and abide by Service Pledge. As a satisfactory response, at the minimal, the burst tyre should be replaced and the running 4 tyres should be thoroughly inspected so as to ensure safety to my family and myself.

I want to file Complaint against ford India . My Ford Figo Diesel ZXI was running fine until last week when I was travelling to Amritsar .Suddenly my car broke down at Ludhiana, We towed the Car to nearest ford Service station Bhagat Ford . They told me your car will be ready by EOD but nothing happened during a week time and my Car is still lying at Bhagat Ford Ludhiana .
Now the Reason they are giving is "your car is under Diagnosis by ford, We are waiting for response from Hotline"
This is what I am hearing from past 10 days . My car is under Extended warranty but Hotline is still not Approving the Repair as they want history of my Car Servicing and Repair .
I gave some servicing papers which i had with me but still they are asking me to provide more
My car used to be serviced at South City ford Noida always which is not operational from past 8-9 months and new showroom has come up as a replacement .

Now my concern here is if I don't have all servicing papers, Ford India Cant provide the Papers from there own records.
Such a huge global giant does not even have a Central database where they can keep record of all cars ?
Why they relying on customers to get the history
My extended warranty is getting over this month end and I strongly feel ford is wasting time till then so that they can have valid Reason .

Hello

Same happened to me today last week of April 2014 while i was coming back from Hubli to Bangalore. Cars front Tyre burst (left
side) I was travelling with my family and The car was moving in 85 KM/hr suddenly the Tyre burst
and sidled away hitting the barrier. Luckily all are safe and I thought GOOD YEAR ...does meant that every thing will be good.

    Ford Figo being a great car DOES NOT guarantees you good dealership experience (is horrible).
    I bought my Figo from DELHI FORD (Near Bhikhaji Cama Place/Vasant Kung). DELHI FORD is the biggest CHEATER you can come across in the Delhi market. They tried cheating me on every aspect.
    1. First of all they took Rs 5000 extra for the car registration. When I was supposed to pay only Rs 36,000 (for UP registration) they charged me Rs 41,000. When asked why they have done so they told I was informed before hand, which was not the case.
    2. They gave promised insurance for Rs 16,000 however on the delivery date they handed over me insurance for Rs 13,000. This was later changed with the insurance when I checked my documents, which was supposed to be given. The benefit of Rs 3000 could have been passed to the customer but they did not.
    3. They gave me a temporary registration which was illegal not valid for the first two days when the car was on the ROAD.
    4. On the loan document they promised a loan at 11.75% however in the final document has the interest rate was charged at 12%. Also, they will ask you to sign blank documents but PLEASE don’t get into their trap.
    Also, the sales staff misbehaved lot of times after I had booked the car. They don’t have the basic courtesy to deal with their customers
    Beware of DELHI FORD. I would highly recommend you not to buy your car from them. BIG CHEATERS - DELHI FORD. It is better to wait for your car from some time then to buy from DELHI FORD.

        Ground clearance problem

        Groud clearance is very low,
        Give me solution increase the ground clearance ,can I change the tyre size[protected]R & alloy wheel 15" . And spacer use in under shock up .please send proper solution. Because I am traveling in interior rural areas, this is my 5 th car ,his before I am using verna. So don't ignore urgent reply.

        dear sir,


        as i have ford figo diesel GJ06 DQ 4047 purchased on[protected] kms 24000 having a noice in link assembly having the extended warranty it has been chargeable as the car was not taken offroad used in the express way then also it has been charged and the service which was been provided at the cargo ford is not satisfactory every time the delivery had been given after one day and made excuses

        pls do the needful as i am afraid in the near future any major damage happens to the vehicle what expenses i have to bear.

          Ford India's dealer at Amritsar - Bhagat Ford : Customers beware of this dealership. They are good in dealing with you until you pay them. Their attitude towards customers are very rude, kindly beaware, as there was a problem on my front left hand axle i asked them for the warranty they refused to change, my car no. is pb-02da-3521 and i bought the car 9 months back, after giving my car to the service station on 9/10/11 under job card no.15554 and after keeping my car for 2 weeks now they say on 22/10/11 you will NOT get warranty this is such a big Harassment to the customer.

          Did you get the warranty from Ford finally? I also had exactly the same problem as yours with my Ford Figo and the dealer refused to cover it under the warranty. I got frustrated and got it repaired through an outside repair shop.

              THEN HE SAID ITS ENGINE GOT DAMAGED AND APPROX Rs.80,000/- + EXPENSES
              WILL COME WHICH WILL BEARED BY YOU.
              AS PER THERE ESTIMATE GIVEN TO CHOLAMANDLAM INSURANCE COMPANY & THEY
              HAVE AGREED THAT CAR ENGINE IS OKAY AND ANY KIND OF BREAKAGE IS NOT
              FOUND IN CAR GEAR BOX.
              AS PER THE COMPANY POLICY IF CAR IS BEING DAMAGED BY ACCIDENT, ITS
              COMPENSATION IS TO BE PROVIDED BY INSURANCE COMPANY OR AS PER WARRANTY
              POLICY, OF SAI FORD COMPANY.
              BUT SAI FORD COMPANY KNEWED THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATE WHICH IS
              Rs.2,87,000/-AND CAUSE OF THAT VEHICLE GOES TO COMPLETE IN TOTAL LOSS
              , AND BECAUSE OF THAT SAI FORD COMPANY DO NOT GET ANY PROFIT ON

              STILL THEY HAVE NOT HANDED OVER THE CAR TO ME AND STILL SAYING TO
              DEPOSIT OF Rs.80,000/- AND ITS NOT FAIR IN TERMS OF BUSSINES, BEING A
              CONSUMER STILL IM AWAITING FOR MY CAR.

                I had a noise on the front suspension at 21000 km, I was to busy to take the car for a service waited for next service 30000km, took car for 30000km service today 4/10/2011. I was told that the noise is the stabiliser link, front right hand side.
                This is the first vehicle purchased new having that kind of defect on suspension is not acceptable for this milage.
                If problem is not resolved within 5 working days, I will be advertising this issue in South Africa's well read
                news papers.

                A motor vehicle suspension is the most important part of the vehicle.

                  I am ford figo owner. i had drop mycar for service on 20/9/11 there i have to wait for 2 hr and even after that they give me pick time at 7.30 pm but i get i got delivery on next day 11 am. there is no pick up drop service available in this service station.even after service there is noise in back wheel jumper which is not there before service but they not provide pick up and drops for there fault.

                    Respected Sir/Madam,
                    This is in reference to a thoroughly disappointing and harassing service experience at Bhagat Ford, Jalandhar. Myself Wg Cdr HS Bhullar(Retd) had purchased a Ford Figo Titanium(Diesel) from Bhagat Ford,Jalandhar in the month of November,2010. The vehicle was due for its first free service at 2500 kms and was taken to the dealership for its service after an appointment. However, the free washing of the vehicle was not done due to some problems with the washing equipment. The then service advisor Mr James said that I'd be called when the machine would be operational and i could get the car washed then. However, i never received any call from them for a week and so i got my car washed from outside. Just before the second free service the car met with a minor accident and the right side of the fender close to the headlamp misaligned and yet again i ended up taking an appointment. It may be kindly noticed that while taking the appointment all the work to be carried out was duly notified to the woman handling appointments at bhagat ford. She said that the entire job would take roughly 3 hours and so the vehicle was taken the following day. However the Body shop manager said that the job would take at least 5 to 6 hours and told me that they had a lot of cars to deal with so it won't be possible.
                    I was again told to await a call from Bhagat Ford but i never received that call. To my despair i had to get the job done from outside and the job hardly took an hour.
                    Prior to my Third service which was paid at 20,000 kms. the vehicles front left side started making noises on uneven roads. When i called up Bhagat Ford i specifically mentioned this problem to them and i was again given an appointment. Yet again after the service i was told that the suspension needed a check up and it would take a lot of time. I was again told that i'd be called up and like always the call never came.
                    Today however i again took the vehicle and was told that the link rod of the vehicle needed to be replaced but it wont be covered under warranty because alloy wheels from a different manufacturer had been installed.
                    When i had taken the delivery of the vehicle i had enquired not once but twice from Mr.Karan Chauhan, sales executive about installation of alloys from outside and he said that it would be alright. On enquiring about warranty issues, he said that no such issue would come up as such.
                    Today he very clearly refused having said any such thing.
                    Further annoying was the fact that the service manager said that the link rod is subject to warranty for only 20,000 kms and that now the vehicle has covered 24,000 kms. The first question that arises is that why was the issue not addressed when the vehicle had come to them for service at 20,000 kms??? The second question that arises is that why was I not asked to replace the alloys all this while till all the three services??? Was Bhagat Ford waiting for this particular issue to crop up
                    I have no personal grudges against Bhagat Ford and i was planning to buy the Ford endeavour next year but considering the kind of poor service and commitment i am having second thoughts.
                    I request you to look into the matter and revert back asap on [protected],[protected].

                      On 16.4.2011 I had purchased Holiday Package from Bag it today for 7 Night and 8 days at a cost of Rs.7000. The Booking id is [protected]. The executive of Bag it Today while selling the package online told me that you can visit any number of hotel/resorts listed for 8 days provided the dates should be in continuation. I sent my Voucher of Redemption of Holidays on 7.9.2011 for claiming my package on 24.10.2011 well in advance by more than 45 days. The Address given in the Holiday Package Form was wrong. The Address was Mail Shop # 1023, Sky Loft Business Suites , 1st floor, Advant Navis Business Park 7, sector 142,Expressway,Noida. The documents were return back on 15.9.2011. Then I contacted over phone on customer care number [protected]. This number is very difficult to connect. I had to spend Rs20/- initially to connect the phone for first time. They gave me another address for communication: G-15/129, NSEZ, Phase-II Noida-201203. Again I sent back the documents and DD of Rs.750/-on 15.9.2011 Till 15.9.2011 I lost 8 days, money and energy. Then documents reached ultimately on the new address. I also sent scanned copy of my documents on 15.9.2011. I received an e-mail on 23.9.2011 that your form is not filled as per the Terms and conditions. I informed them I had filled the form as per promise of BagItToday. Later on I filled the fresh form on the same day as per requirements of Affordable sales promotions and sent a scan copy of the same by email. Now they said the destination which you require is not available as you got delayed. They also do not reply the emails.
                      Without any fault on our part they are making fool of people and cheating them. Bag it Today also to sell their products they are doing false commitments to customers.
                      Affordable sales promotions have only one customer care number which is very difficult to connect. Till today i.e. on27.9.2011 I have spent more than Rs 100/- to connect the phone of Affordable sales promotions. I had tried at least 50 times to connect the phone, but I got success only 4 times and that only for 2 minutes for each call and later on it got disconnected. I am so depressed with the treatment given by BagitToday and Affordable sales promotions. People want to enjoy in holidays. But they are mentally tortured and harassed by the Affordable Sales promotions before claiming the holidays.
                      I shall request the Affordable sales promotion and Bag it today, do something or refund the money otherwise I shall take matter into consumercourt.

                          i paid south city ford noida rs.143000/-for change of my ford ikon DL7CK 3043 due to problem in engine. it implies for gurantee of 2 years. after few months i face problem with the car as fuses are frequently blowing off. as south city ford ceased to operate, i went to harpreet motor pvt,ltd. dehi. they did the correction which was eye wash. again i took the vehicle to harpreet motor. now they are trying to blackmail. they are telling that there is problem in engine and i have to bear the cost. they are now cofusing me that engine is creating missing which causes fuse blowing.
                          i request to resove the problem very soon and deliver my car urgently.

                                  When I was purchasing my car, Brij Ford people treat me very well. But during servicing they are very unprofessional. Some of the problem with Allahabad service center are as follow-
                                  1. Even though car came in morning for servicing but they give it around 4PM after servicing- Highly time consuming.
                                  2.They took approx.6 to 8 Hours for servicing but servicing is of bad quality.
                                  3. Shop Incharge behaviour is not friendly with customer.
                                  4. Their is no quality inspection after servicing.
                                  5.Servicing Job card are neither properly filled & nor checked by quality Inspector.
                                  6.Some of work which is visible for customer, like Washing & cleaning not up to the mark for World Class Car Manufacturing Company.
                                  7.Some of the step of Servicing like greasing, polishing etc are not doing by them , when we ask then they do it.
                                  8.After 2nd free servicing I found my 5th tyer which is placed in dicky (stapeny) was replace by faulty one , When I complained it they denied it and say it may be replace for your any faulty tyer. But without telling me how they can replace it ?

                                  9. On-line Customer Care page not working.

                                  Please look into the matter. I hope you will respond positively for FORD Service centre at Allahabad.

                                  And provide me my 5th tyer as new one. For a FORD like world known company such type of services is very bad & it is very unprofessional.

                                    I purchased a Ford Fiesta Classic from A B Motors Dehradoon in mid June 2011. Two tyres cracked within 1700 kms one after the other within four days after the car was just two months old. I have written to Mr Michael Boneham, CEO Ford India explaining details and demanded compensation..but to no avail. My local dealer has been kind enough to replace just one tyre though. The tyres have cracked from the side walls and not one but two tyres consecutively. This clearly indicates poor manufacturing quality/defect. Even the quality of remaining three tyres is therefore suspect. I have written to the CEO Ford India for a replacement of all five tyres. The Company has been unreasonable in refusing to replace these tyres.

                                    Respected sir/madam,

                                    I am continously contacting you to look over my complaint, every day I
                                    make calls on your toll free numers, and even mailed you many times,
                                    but their is no response from your side. this is my sixth mail to ford
                                    and I had called more than 5 times. Every day when I make call to you,
                                    your company representative give assurance to me that they will look
                                    over my complaint and will call back to me.
                                    but their is no response from their side......Either ford has no
                                    interest in solving customer problems or they have so many complaints,
                                    ford didnt get time.

                                    I think ford company had no time to look over the customer complaint,
                                    i regret to inform you that none of the promises, mentioned in your
                                    SERVICE PLEDGE are being adhered to by your team, atleast not at
                                    vinayaka Ford,Indore . I have nothing personal against Ford nor
                                    Vinayaka.

                                    Ford, i hate myself for having wasted last 6 days to you coz i know
                                    you wont be able to do much in this mater, however i DREAD sending
                                    this vehicle back to vinayaka Ford. I dont think that i will be using
                                    my remaining few services as a part of the deal thanks to this
                                    experience of mine with Vinayaka Ford & Ford Motors .

                                    I had requested you regarding my problem on your Toll free number
                                    (10/11/10), your representative promised me to look into the issue and
                                    told me to get back to me after talking to dealer to get to me to
                                    with solution in next 24hrs. But I would like to report pathetic
                                    service of Ford India is here.....

                                    also plz plz for god`s sake update ur call center profile. 99% of the
                                    time that i am trying to reach it past 2 days via phone it was found
                                    to... be busy and forwarded on some line which again was overfilled to
                                    record any complaints and then to an attendant who never answered.
                                    Now I am thinking whether I have actually made a mistake by purchasing
                                    a Ford car by going against the advice of my family and friends. I
                                    have not spent 8 lacs on the Ford hatch to live with bulging out
                                    tyres.

                                    Ford still seems miles behind service standards set by other Car
                                    companies in India.
                                    Keep On going FORD... no replies no support.

                                    Respected Sir/Madam,

                                    I had purchased ford fiesta from Vinayaka ford, Indore (M.P.) dated
                                    2nd Nov 2009 on name Mr. Prem Patni Vehicle No. M.P 09 CE 7902
                                    At the time of purchasing dealer had created a lot of problem to us,
                                    Please do check your record.
                                    Now again we had encountered with the problem in the one of the five
                                    tyre, we have reported to the Service center on Monday to clear it.
                                    But one of the service man or Supervisor (Mr. Ratnish Nair) misbehaved
                                    us & didn't listened to our problem. and denied to cooperate with us,
                                    they told us this tyre is not the product of ford its your problem, go
                                    to tyre dealer. after a long conversation they get ready and deposited
                                    our tyre.

                                    .now i just want to inform you that within one year tyre is bulging
                                    out, and i want a replacement for that. Since within 6300 Km tyre are
                                    bulging out,

                                    my self harsh rathi from indore me puchase figo car for apr.2010 after 1 year jisme goodyear comp. ka tyre hey car drive karte vakt side se full kar beth gaya this reason my accident hotey-2 bach gaya, iske baad i was complain goodyear office in indore but they are disagree to change my tyre, the compony enginear to say cut on your tyre by disc, but this is not fare and genine reason because car drive carte vakt yaddi Aap practically dekhe tyre bath jata hey to disc ka nissan AYEGAHI, car is running only 11000 km. this comlain is noted in second time please chek and do your custmer, thanking you

                                      Very worst service in Ford MPL
                                      Recently I went to Guindy MPL ford for servicing my Figo Car, the customer service was very worst, & they are not listening, responding to any query.
                                      Even the water wash not done properly, it’s hard to see the working culture inside the service center, rush driving inside the complex, standing on the car, hardly closing the door
                                      But in the sales offer It was totally reverse, they mainly highlight the service center features, “only our ford has the best service center in Chennai”. It was totally wrong.

                                      I am sorry to hear your difficulties with your ford car. Even i have the worst experiences with ford and its service people. I am updating and contacting people having trouble with ford. Can you pls add me to your Facebook and update all your issues in there. here is my link for that. I believe we can fight against ford.
