I took 2 connections in chennai - 1 for my office and another for my residence. Till the payment is made, sales guys literally followed up to collect the payment.in fact they have not explained the offer which was given for other customer during the same time. Without knowing the offer i also paid for 799 plan. When inquired about the offer given to other no one responded properly. Then they changed the plan and asked me to pay another 117 to get the playbox offer which i did. After collecting 117 they said we will get the playbox. It is almost more than 10 days, i got the basic connection but till today i haven't heard anything about the playbox. When called they are not picking up the calls. After rigorous follow up, today when i reached out to sales team, they are clueless about the playbox. When i was escalating the issue, the sales executive literally gave the phone to another person and he took another call for payment follow up which i could over hear.

One more issue was that when my office connection was surrendered, i haven't got back the refundable deposit almost for 6 months. When i took the new connection, they were having no details and finally adjusted that against the new connection. So be careful, hathway will not refund the deposit.

    Hi,

    I used hathway internet 3 years back which is a prepaid connection. I requested to disconnect the service while i was shifting my house in 2016. However they did disconnect my connection but did not took back the modem, and i shifted to new city. After few months they keep threatening me to deposit modem otherwise they will file a case against me.

    When i took the connection they provide service at my door but when i repeatedly asked them to take back their modem, they never showed up and now threatening and harassing me repeatedly. Just recently i recieved a call who was claiming a civil lawyer and threaten again me to deposit the modem otherwise they are filing case against me.

      I had written several emails to the nodal office - karnataka and to the digital cable tv head updating them on the issues i'm facing. Firstly, i'm not able to select and activate the broadcasters bouquets online as prescribed by trai on their official website. I also met the nodal officer in person and explained him about the above but, he was helpless and directed me to digital cable tv head who's in mumbai office to whom i have written around 20 emails.
      Secondly, i had activated online a couple of months ago few packs alongside the fta channels after remitting the requisite fee and pack charges but, these channels so activated are giving an error message "technical problem". The money i have paid them has been of no use since the channels aren't being tele-casted due to technical issues. I strongly condemn this and demand suitable action be taken against hathway. I have made several complaints but, none have turned up to resolve the issue.
      I would wish to challenge this legally for the amount of mental trauma i have undergone in the due course.
      Request the concerned to initiate stringent action against hathway and accordingly assist me in getting the justice reinstated.

        I have a concern of privacy with hathway as they are providing the internet services to me, and can access my browsing data without my knowledge.

        They are giving popups to recharge while i am surfing the internet. I further examined how it is coming on every pages in time durations and found they are actually manipulating the response from the server. This is a super serious concern when i notice they have embedded tag into the response tag, if you notice in console below in attached screenshot.

        If the script is added with the response, they will be able to get the request and response both, and this data is eligible for selling to third-party.

        Thanks, i hope this will be enough data for raising my concern and expecting a complete enquiry form there end.

        Ps: sharing the screenshots with blurring the sensitive data, if necessary ill share the original one, as ip/data are again the privacy concern to me.

          I have raised a disconnection request before three month, still i didnt get the disconnection, but everyday getting calls for offers. How many times i should raise request. How many times i should tell i dont want any offers but only disconnection. Hathway should respect customers complaint. They dont have proper portal to request for disconnection also. They want to sell it but doesnt want to take it back.

            Hi,

            I used hathway internet 1.5 years back which is a prepaid connection. I requested to disconnect the service while i was shifting my house in jan 2018. However no response from hathway. I requested to shift the connection to newly shifted house later through phone on feb 2018 however as hathway is not available in new shifted place, there is no chance to shift the connection. So i requested to close the connection and they said ok. However i keep on receiving bills every month over email and every month i raised a support case over email and there was no reponse from them. Finally i got a message as below today.

            However the modem was already picked earlier in feb 2019.

            Legal notice has been sent to user xxxxxxxxx for hathway broadband a/c no.[protected] plz pay immediately _ amount to avoid further legal action. For any query cont legal team

            Why should i pay the amount if i had not used the service at all. I complained to stop connection and it was the failure of hathway support to stop connection irrespective of multiple reminders to stop connection and hathway send the legal notice to me now?. I had proofs of all emails in my mail box which i had requested to stop the connection. I am not ready to pay amount as i had not used the service. Moreover my connection was prepaid.

              Dear hathway team,
              Highly dissappointed with the services, after charging every channel service should increase but it s pathetically decresed.
              Out of 24 hours 23 hours ot says technical error, glitches, it is difficult to see tv. This is happening from more than 2 months.

              Feeling like go to tata sky atleast they help. But hathway never

                Last no working from 50 days generated almost 50 complain sent screen shot they close complain them self without acknowledge really problem is resolve daily we need to call they follow same procedure end of the day e get same answer your complain is under priority and will resolve next day person will visit your place. If we ask for legal procedure they say do what ever you want.

                  Hi all, i have taken hathway connection on 31-mar-2019 by paying ₹3250/- for period of 6 months. My account no: [protected]. From may 2nd i am unable to browse the internet after 6pm to 4am. The internet speeds are so low that i can’t even attach files in gmail. I have tried raising many tickets but it was of no use. The tickets used to get randomly closed. If i call the customer care regarding it they used to promise to send a person within 24 hours but no person used to call or turnout. I request hathway either to solve the internet problem or refund the money for improper service provided.

                    I had hathway connection, i didnt wanted to continue so i stopped recharging it, now your constomer care is calling me atleast 6-7 times on daily bases from past 2 months
                    I have blocked several numbers requested scolded many times but again they call me
                    If same prob persist i have so file a complaint against you

                      I was to shift to a new place and wanted the broadband connection to be shut down. I was told that some one from hathway would come to finish the formalities but despite calling daily, there was only a fake promise and no one turned up. It went on for 15 days and then i shifted. Since that the day, its been a month now and i am getting calls to upgrade everyday but when i tell them about disconnection, they first make excuses like you have to deposit the moden in the office. I have already paid for modem when getting connection. Why should i pay for that? I get calls everyday and when i tell them about my problem, they disconnect. It is very irritating to get calls everyday and when you are talking, they are disconnecting. Once in past, they had done the same thing after i disconnected and suddenly after three years, they put up a court case on me and asked me to pay 3000 for nothing. Now it is happening again. Despite many calls, they do not repond and then they would ask me to pay for connection which is not even there. I never wanted to take hathway because of their rude and uncooperative behaviour when you leave yet i took because there was no other fast option and now i am facing challenges. They people are literally harrassing me by calling me everyday. I have even emailed on customer care and client redressal email id but no response from the company except for harassment.

                        Hi team,

                        For the past 3 months i have been complaining about slow speed issue and i have raised multiple complaints in the hathway site. Sometime they close the ticket without fixing or fix it temporary and again from next day same speed issue.
                        Speed issue as per package is 100-150 mbps but most of time speed will be 20mbps and sometime like 2mbps. Could you please help. Thanks

                          I got a call from a guy named RAJ from civil department. Threatening me of charges of not submitting the router after the connection got disconnected. It has been 2 years since the connection got disconnected and no one came to collect the Router and suddenly out the blue I get this call.

                          This is pure harassment and should be treated with priority

                            My hathway account no is[protected] and i request the company to disconnect my services immediately. As i am permanently moving from my current location and the location where i am shifting dont have services of hathway. I called customer care service many times in this regard and they said representative will come and take the model and we will close you connection. But i never happened. I also raised a service ticket as well with number 14052019m854875 and stated the request. Again nothing happened. Did follow up the same but same result.
                            Also there is no option in service request to raise the request. Please cut the connection and take the modem

                              I had a Hathway connection around 3 years back and I got that disconnected because of poor Service. Now from fast few months, I was receiving calls and messages for reactivating the account. I told them I don't want to reactivate the account. Now finally yesterday, I received a call from their team saying why don't you want to reactivate the account and I have a modem. I asked them why are you calling me after 3-4 years for this. So he said now my legal team will follow up.

                              Today I got a call from a so-called civil court legal team person. I explained the situation to him as well and said please ask Hathway for writing me an email for the modem recovery and we shall proceed.

                              He became very rude and said now I need to come to court for the same and disconnected the call.

                              I seriously don't understand that Hathway is so shameless to harass people and earning money like that.

                                Since last week onwards i have been repeatedly getting calls from your sales team to renew for 3 months and get hathway playbox.
                                I have renewed it as per your team's direction and i have been told that i will get the hathway playbox the very next day. It's been 6 days now and no one turned up.
                                First, i did not ask for any offer. It was an offer from your end.
                                Secondly i have asked him the date of installation of the hathway playbox prior to the renewal and the sales person promised to install in a day or two max.
                                I seriously hate someone doing false promises, i have the complete call recordings of the conversations as an evidence and i shall take this up and i will ensure no one fall on this scam.
                                I am fed up with your false promises. Kindly issue me a complete refund,

                                  Maximum channels are not coming in my hatway cable connection from few days. Even local cable operator of hathway are not entertained us. They are not provided us the proper service. They harrashed us from fast
                                  Day when the new scheme of hathway was launched. Worst cable connection i have ever seen. If my problems are not solved earlier then i'll change my cable connection to better connection.

                                    Hathway broadband employees are harrassing me over calls since 8 months to renew my acoount.
                                    I've called their customer support, and they told me to ignore the calls, without providing me with a proper solution.
                                    They call me from different numbers everyday.
                                    Everytime i request them to stop calling me and again in the next morning there they go calling me again.
                                    They keep harrassing me to renew the stupid account.
                                    The weird thing is that the place where i stay, hathway doesn't have feasibility, that was the reason i closed my account.
                                    None of the employees seem to understand that if hathway is not available in my area how the hell does renewing my account help me.
                                    I even submitted their device and they told me to send the receipt to their email. I sent everything to them and then they said they have got everything and we will make sure no one will call you again.
                                    Since 8 months they kept on calling me everyday with the same thing over and over again to renew the stupid account.
                                    Somedays they even call me twice.
                                    I can't take this anymore.
                                    If someone doesn't respond and stop the calls that i'm getting, i will file a harassment case.

                                      I've received a threatening mail from [protected]@hcspl.net stating that I should pay an amount of Rs.2227.[protected]/- towards modem charge for Account ID-[protected] for which I've sent multiple requests for account closure on email since 2015. This mail is no less than an absolute harassment of customer. Attaching the photo of the notice received today, ie., 11th May, 2019.

                                        Cable service disconnected since january 2019.
                                        For Jan and Feb cable bill towards free to air channel taken by the service provider. additional Rs.450/- taken towards the next month bill in assurance to service will be resumed with all the channels including paid channels. Till date the service has not been resumed. the provider also did not give us the card or the reciept of the bills paid. i visited several times to the office from where the cable is operated locally in Parel but found no one there and doors locked. The operator has a monopoly in haffkine residential area. The local representative of the Hathway is Aakash who has made all our connections and is responsible to take payment or make recharge. We called him daily and he leaves our call unanswered. Last week he took payment from our neighbors and resumed their service, but we are still kept waiting.
                                        We want to get our cable resumed or else another option towards service provider.
