I have cancelled my card last december because of the annual fee which was imposed without my knowledge, i have sent the soft copy, hard copy of the demolished card and the letter signed by me, i am totally surprised to see a pdn notice from third party lawyer, which i got recently asking me to pay rs5, 000 because of failure to clear my outstanding amount, i have asked the statement from the bank which i didn't get still, they keep forcing me to send a mail to grievance team and they take 7-9 working day's team which add's up interest on my account, these things started after me telling that i am in us, these words are from the hdfc person in call with a laughing note "it's just $100 for you people, why cant you just throw that and close the dispute"... Is this the way to speak to the customer???. Now i am left with no choice, i have sent a mail by cc'ing all the board members of hdfc bank, i am ready to pay any outstanding amount which i left with the interest, but not their annual fee, lawyer fees. Can anybody advice me how to solve this problem?
