    I have been holding the ICICI Bank Credit Card since 2006 and has always been partyicular about my payments. In May 2009 I received the Statement for the month of April for an amount of Rs.10391.25. I issued cheque before the due date 15.05.09 and dropped the same in their ATM drop box on 12.05.09 but they have shown the receipt on 14.05.09 and the same was sent for clearance on 17.05.09. Later on due some technical fault (not due to insufficient balance) the cheque got bounced. later on I received a call from their collection agents and i was verbally abused and inexplicable foul languages were used even hough i repeatedly assured that the payment would be made in full after sorting out the issue with my bank. meanwhile they have stopped giving me the credit facility despite having sufficient limit. After being a loyal and active customer of the bank this kind of treatment and verbal abuses has shocked and given me pain and i have been suffering from mental depression due to this incident . please help ...

      ICICI has issued a credit card against my existing primary card to some unknown person at distinct address without any request from my side for issuing a card. I had no knowledge of this, and now suddenly without even notifying me, ICICI has frozen my salary account and taken out 1L Rs out of it without my permission. I have trying really hard to get reply from these guys, but all i have got so far is that "wait for 45 working days to let investigation complete". Now I don't know how I am supposed to spend 45 days without any money.
      Following is the mail that I have sent to RBI and ICICI:

      Reg: ICICI Bank fraud and harassment to me for Credit Card No. xxxxxxxxxx-59029, which was never delivered to me.

      ICICI bank has frozen my bank account against payment for a credit card which I do not possess & was never delivered to me. A credit card was issued to some unknown person without my knowledge and without any request from my side. I had no clue about this credit card and who was using it. I got to know about this only after 6 months, when ICICI bank directly froze my ICICI saving account. Now without my permission they have taken out Rs. 106530 from my saving account, leaving a balance of 0.77 paisa. This is my salary account and the source for my living, and right now I am penny less.
      This is a fraud from ICICI bank where they first issued credit card to some unknown person without the knowledge of the account holder and then they slap the amount to the genuine customer’s saving account.
      1) I am holding one credit card from ICICI, numbered: xxxxxxxxxx-59003 (Type=Amex). Phone banking officer told me that this card was disabled and a new card was issued against this one. Firstly I have never used the existing card (xxxxxxxxxx59003) for years, which I still possess; secondly I never raised a request for a new card or add on. Lastly there was no communication done with me by ICICI bank even if they issued one. I have even checked the mailbox of my ICICI account, and there are no messages regarding the same.


      2) Further the customer care told me that this card was delivered at following address in Aurangabad. I have no links to this address:


      3) As per my communication with customer care, PAN card was used as identification proof while accepting the delivery of credit card. However the PAN number which ICICI told me is not the same as of mine (I have attached copy of Form16 as my PAN proof). So, the card has been issued to someone else & my account has been frozen without any fault of mine.


      4) As per my communication with customer care, the card was delivered on 16th Dec 2008 and transactions were made within next 3 days for around Rs. 1.48 lacs. These transactions were made in Mumbai where I have never been to in my whole life.



      5) ICICI bank has now frozen two of my accounts (xxxxxxxxx435 & xxxxxxxxx017) without informing me and also have taken out Rs. 106530 from account xxxxxxxxx435 without my permission.

      Now, I request your good self to take up the matter suitably with them and direct the Bank:

      a) To reverse the amount to my account which has been withdrawn from my savings account on account of credit card which has never been issued to / used by me.
      b) To unfreeze my salary account which has resulted in a lot of pain & harassment to me without any fault of mine.
      c) To block / cancel the card in question.
      d) To probe / check to whom the said card has been issued. It might be a case of mistaken identity / clerical error /negligence on the part of bank’s official which has resulted into such unpleasant situation.
      e) To penalize the bank for such harassment to the law abiding citizens for no fault of theirs.
      I am also enclosing copy of FIR, which I can do the maximum at my end, for the necessary action.

      I have tried this for TATA INDICOM & its Usefull for me.
      Thank you. As per your suggestion I have added my complaint on http://pgportal.gov.in/. Hope I will get some response.
      Finally, I got this resolved by following up with RBI. It took around 45 working days for ICICI to investigate, and the case was resolved in my favour. ICICI hasn't yet provided me the investigation details but they have reverted back the money which they took out from my account.

      For anybody else facing any similar issues, I will suggest to lodge complaint at RBI ombudsman (http://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/). The process works as following(as per my understanding):
      1) Lodge complaint at RBI obudsman
      2) If accepted by RBI, they will send written confirmation with a confirmation number for the complaint.
      3) RBI will give some time to the bank(against which you have complaint) to do their investigation.
      4) RBI will provide you the resolution details provided by the bank.
      5) If the resolution is not acceptable to you, then both the parties are called in for hearings to take the decision (I didn't get to this stage).

      For any followups with bank/RBI/police, include the bank complaint number, RBI complain number, FIR number on top of the mail and CC to all of them.

        Sir,
        I am Ganesan A stayed in a Mansion, Chennai, was worked in Cognizant Technology Solutions applied a ICICI credit card on 23/10/2007. A month later i got a call from the ICICI bank stated that my card was approved and the same person informed about the Lombard Insurance Mediclaim policy from ICICI Bank.
        I informed that i havent received the card but he suggested that the card will be dispatched through courier within a week and i can apply for the policy verbally.
        I agreed to apply for that policy as i can get the tax exemption and i have to pay Rs 370.00 monthly.


        But i haven't received that credit card nor the Insurance policy documents yet. A year later in end of 2008, a lady from the Bank ask me when i'll pay the insurance amount and i informed them number of times regarding the above status as i havent received any card nor the documents. also i informed that i wont pay any amount because i was not benefited by credit card nor the insurance policy
        Also I haven't signed any document,

        Now while applying for a personal loadn in Axis bank i came to know that my name is in CIBEL.
        While enquring in ICICI Phone banking they informed that my name is not in the credit card list an they are asking me to apply for a new card.

        Kindly help me in this regard.

          Dear Sir,

          On the 14th of May 2009 I tried to withdraw an amount of Rs. 7000.00 using my Axis Bank Debit Card from an ICICI Bank ATM in Lokhandwala Kandivali East Mumbai and I received a Transaction Declined message with a Transaction Code: 072. However, I found out later that the amount was still withdrawn from my account even though the ATM hadn't dispensed the amount. I launched a complaint with Axis Bank and they said it would take about 12 to 14 days for the amount to be credited back in the account. Its been 17 days now and Axis Bank is saying that its in the hands of ICICI Bank and Axis cannot do anything. So I visited the ICICI bank branch in Lokhandwala ( Just next to the same ICICI ATM ) but they are refusing to cooperate saying that they cant do anything. I expected them to at least make some calls and find out whats going on at their end since it was their ATM. Could you please do the needfull?

          Axis Bank Debit Card — ICICI Bank ATM withdrawal - Money did not dispense

          Dear Sir,

However, I found out later that the amount was still withdrawn from my account even though the ATM hadn't dispensed the amount. I launched a complaint with Canara Bank and they said it would take about 12 to 14 days for the amount to be credited back in the account. Its been over 2 months over after canara bank madam said, your transaction was successfully like that tell to axis bank people. Transaction successfully means how to come receipt. Could you please do the needful to credit the amount of Rs. 3000.00 back in my account?

          I was also check the balance from other ATM, but it was debit entry shows, but I did not receive any amount. Therefore kindly request to make the reverse entry of Rs. 4000.00/- Four Thousand in above account no.

            To all friends
            I have been a regular user of the ICICI and uptill now. Last year One EMI Silver credit card was issued to me stating specifically that the card has an advantage of easy EMI of Rs. 2000/- p.m. plus the processing fee. Agreed on the same i accepted and used the card for buying two items worth Rs.47000/- considering that every month i will be charged Rs.2000/- which should be 24 installments in all. I was so convinced with the services of ICICI that i trusted them and started paying my EMI's right on time. Now after paying Rs.22000 (11 Installments) i cam to know that a interest of 1.99% is charged every month to my account. After calling the Bank i got the message that i have to pay Rs. 35557/- more which is 9000/- extra from the actual buying. Please be careful with these kind of cases and if someone can help me getting out of this situation i will be highly obliged as i am a service call person and its a very hard earned money. I have made up my mind that after settling this account i will surrender this card and my other ICICI cards and will never use them again in my life.

                Dear Sirs,

                Please refer to interaction id by ICICI Lombard [protected].

                This is to inform you that I have renewed a Health Policy # 4034/FNP/02240488/00/000 from ICICI Lombard General Insurance for two years and the payment was made for Rs.23, 061/- on[protected] one month in advance before the expiry date through credit card no. [protected] as a lump sum payment. As per my tele-conferencing with their representatives Mr.Vaibhav (contact numbers [protected]) and Ms.Kritika (contact numbers [protected], [protected]), and as per my request they had assured me to forward the same to the concerned authorities for conversion of the amount into 12 EMIs of Rs.19211.75 each without any interest and processing fees whatsoever. Not only that I received an SMS from ICICI Lombard regarding renewal of Policy
                and conversion of premium into 0% EMI.

                However, today I received a call from ICICI Bank Credit Card Department (contact number[protected]. They were adamant at the point that the amount can be converted into six EMIs and that a one time processing fees will be charged on the amount, which is absolutely unjustified as I had been assured of no interest or
                processing fees. Not only that an overlimit charge has also been levied, which is further unjustified.

                Please note that I have not received any document till now, as the same was supposed to be received within seven days.

                Moreover, I had claimed for reimbursement of medical expenses for the same policy in the last financial year, which was already approved as per the representatives of ICICI Lombard and was supposed to be sent
                within 21 days of the receipt of claim as per the insurance company representatives.

                You are therefore requested to look into the matter and direct the insurance company/ bank to do the needful and reimburse the medical expenses claimed for over a month and to convert the premium amount in 12 EMIs
                of Rs. 1921.75 each as agreed and assured by ICICI Lombard without any processing or other fees whatsoever and also to reverse the overlimit charge at the earliest.

                  Hello I am Mukesh Agarwal,

                  I was holding ICICI Credit card Vide No. [protected]

                  Actually I was trying to book my air tickets using ICICI Credit Card, The value of the tickets were debited to my credit card account but the tickets could not be generated. When I contracted yatra.com they requested me get the transaction Id from the bank so that the tickets can be generated. Now on my repeated request I was denied the information even after requesting them to mail on my official ID registered with you.

                  In protest I stopped the payment and requested them to clarrify on the issue, that why a information belonging to my transaction is denied to me. But I protest went in vain as there is no body responsible to take care of ny complained and to reach them is the most difficult task.

                  I was regularly getting the statement after adding the late payment and the interest. Then I thought of resolving the issue and called them, and I was very specific that I am not doing any settlement rather told them that what ever amount i have used I will pay, but the late payment charges and interest should be removed from account, despite they offering the settlement less than the amount paid by me. i was told that your account will not go in defaulter list if the payment is made on that particular date. I made the payment as agreed vide DD No.011987 Dated 21/08/2008 of ICICI Bank Only and the same was acknowledged by the bank Vide receipt no. 6342604 and Letter No. HYD/451/[protected] DATED 21/08/2008.

                  But to my surprise still I am getting the SMS and email statements for the card which is closed in Aug, 2008. For the same I have already complained with ICICI and spoke to the customer care department, But all my efforts are not yielded any thing.

                  Now te concern is unlike other cases after a apan of 2-3 years I may get a claim of lakhs of rupees fro non of my fault. I request the concerned authority to look into the matter and resolve and also request them to remove my name from SIBIL.

                  Once again with a request I remind them to take neccessary action otherwise i may have to approach RBI for the same.

                    ICICI Bank has charged me on Cheque bounce. In this case i am the depositor of the cheque and receiver of the fund. I have heard that cheque bounce charges are levied on the A/c which doesn't have fund or signature mismatch or any other reason of bouncing the cheque. When i asked for the explanation ICICI Bank employee told that it is under RBI guidelines. In this case i want to know, where is my fault, I have got a cheque and i have deposited it. If something is wrong in issuer's account then why i should suffer for that. I am attaching the mini statement from my Internet banking A/c.

                      HI, i'm Nilesh
                      I availed a vehicle loan and due to some personal reason i surrendered the vehicle to the bank authority. They returned all my EMI cheques but kept my security cheque with them which they promise to return after settlement of account. After selling the vehicle there was no outstanding against my loan account. But instead of returning the security cheque they produced the same in the bank and filled a case against me (non-bailable warrant) of bouncing the cheque. I produced the neccessary documents i.e NOC, ACCOUNT SETTLEMENT LETTER IN THE COURT WHICH FORCED THEM TO WITHDRAW THE CASE. Can any1 help me with their suggestion, i wanna strike back against this unethical business they are carrying out.

                          Dear Sir /Madam

                          My self Jaishree Panicker In November 2007 I received an ICICI credit card in that card they provide me the ICICI medical Insurance policy first they told me that it is free there is no charge. When I received the first statement I saw that there is 500 rs mentioned as payment and balance of 9500 in my card account. When I called the customer care they told me that is the payment of ICICI medical policy on the same day I request to cancel the policy and card I told them I did not want to use this ICICI card any more so please cancel that card they agreed also. From that I have not used that card for a single purchase. But now they blocked my account reason is credit payment. When I have not used that card for a single purchase then how there is a due. Why they are selling there products without asking to customer whether they are inserted in that or not. Now they are showing that there more than 5000 rs more they blocked my account, I have more 15000 rs in my account but I am not able to withdraw that. I have called several time to there customer care but now response from their part. I send one mail to them but no response. Now I Need a help from your part to solve this problem and get back my money. It is absolute totally unfair that a Bank like ICICI are doing like this to their customers.

                            1.According to ICICIBANK email to me, the clarification for the charges taken on behalf of the I-ticket transaction is Rs. 50/-.

                            2.Railway booking surcharge is 1.80% for internet transactions and 2.5% for other bookings, so, total EMI conversion is 4.5%.

                            But I am not understanding the ethic of charging against the amount by the railway I-ticket is Rs. 5171/-, hence the amount of total charge from me including with 4.5% EMIcharge should be 5171.00 + 232.70=5403.00. How can be 6400.70. Can you help me out on the issue.

                            3. Is the charge of the credit card against the I-ticket cover the Constitutional rule and regulation or Act? Then under which act ?

                                I Maqsood Ahmed having savings account in icici bank a/c No.[protected], Sir icici bank has blocked access to my account. when i called up icici customer care phone banking on[protected] they said that ihave to make the icici bank credit card dues of RS. 54, 000=00, so they have blocked my account with the savings of Rs.26, 600=00in my a/c. i have a icici credit card no.[protected]. Sir i have cleared all principle amount every single month contineously, in rare case of late payment fees which they have levied and the taxes has been multiplying every month.Now till datethey have charged with all these hidden charges and the interest amount of RS54, 000=00 to my credit card. i requested the customer care phone banking every month contineously to reverse the all the hidden charges which they are multiplying every month.They did not reversed it. i contacted in person to the icici bank credit card collection department, 4/10, Mythri centre, Bommanahalli, hosur road, Bangalore-068. These people told me to make the payment of Rs.35, 000=00 to settle the issue. Sir i have cleared all thetotal principle amount so far, Every month only during the time of due date i receive the call on mobile and tell me that they are from icici bank and they ask me to make the payment of principle amt. and the will reverse the entire amt. of interest amt. and i donnt have to pay that. sir i request u to pls look in to it and solve this issue As early as possible, other wise they will debit the amt. of Rs26, 600=00 which is in my savings a/c. which i dont have to woe them.                                 ICICI Bank Credit Card — Hidden charges

                                Recently I had a transaction of Rs. 1190.86. using my ICICI Bank Credit Card (filled petrol in a petrol pump) and have a receipt of the same amount. However, my credit card statement is showing the transaction as Rs1, 223.72. When I contacted the customer service, they informed me that there was an additional charge since the card was used on a non-icici machine. The credit card statement nowhere mentions how this extra charge was claculated. Also, I cannot find any place (document, website) which says that before using my card I am suppoed to check whether it is being used on an ICICI machine. I am also planning to approach the Consumer Court. I have submitted a compiant with ICICI Bank and am awaiting their reply so that I can include their reply in my consumer Court complaint.

                                They did cheat me same thing. I lost the trust in the ICICI bank and if ICICI guys can;t take the ownership of the collection centre then its better to close the outstanding then keep away from the ICICI. They are good for nothing and I seriosally doubt about the ICICI management and i am sure with this management the bank will not exist not more than 5 years. I bet.

                                The Customer Services Manager ;

                                I take reference to the subject statement and my various dialogues with your customer supoort staff , but all falling on deaf hears.

                                I am compeled to write or request for cancellation for the 4477 xxxxxxxxxx1009 .

                                Please note my payment history from last 10 months and the late payment charges levied

                                1) Dec '09 ; Paid amount Rs 1500/= vide chq no 291722 ; late payment Rs 600/= with Service charges
                                2) Jan 10 ; Paid amount Rs 1400/= vide chq no 291224 ; late payment Rs 600 / = with Service chargs
                                3) Feb 10 ; paid amount Rs 10000/= vide chq no 514997; late payment Rs 600 / = with Service chargs
                                4) Mar ' 10 ; No payment done , the late payment justified
                                5) Apr ' 10 Payment Rs 10000/= vide chq no 375978; late payment Rs 600 / = with Service chargs
                                6) May'10 No Payment done , the late payment justified
                                7) Jun10 Payment done Rs 1300/ = vide chq no 325599; late payment Rs 400 / = with Service chargs
                                8)Aug10 Payment Rs 6500 /= chq no 325603

                                Please note the charges of almost Rs 3200 / = appriox with Service charges , despite making payments albiet a delay from the due date.
                                Nevertheless, the Interest charges and service charges are leviied which I am yet to debate

                                I would request to waive the Charges of Rs 3200 / = to enable continue with this card or treat this mail as a Cancellation request

                                If I do not hear on the subject , I would cut the card and no longer wish to use the Credit card


                                Please revert with your decisions , keeping a mutually benefecial relation
