After putting down my request for conversion from Post paid to pre-paid, i was told by one of Idea employees in a Dehradun Idea centre that i will be informed that my number is going to be de-activated and that another sim should be active within 24 hours post that. So i was called and informed that the services will be disconnected but within maximum of five minutes my other new Pre-paid sim will start working. As expected, another sim did not work.

And its been 48 hours now that i am without a number plus i had to travel out of town. In Dehradun i had access to another number from which i made multiple calls to the Idea employee and she proved no good as she had no clues when my another sim would be active.

Now i am in Delhi and have no access to any number and i can't begin to explain how inconvenient this experience has been for me!! I ported my number to Idea seven months back and this has been a very sad and annoying experience!! The customer support is worthless and provides contradictory and wrong information. The services are terrible and Idea has no solution for such issues which are highly essential.

Tell me something...I am a female and i was travelling all alone from Dehradun to Gurgaon in a cab without my number being active!! One cannot even begin to imagine the pros and cons of this!! Would Idea be responsible for any mishap??

I wish to take Idea to the court for this despicable behavior and make sure that a women's safety is not taken for granted!!

Plus I myself cannot go to the respective idea centre as i am out of town for a month! They already have all my documents as i had been using this ported number for the past seven months!!! Either you solve this issue from your end without again asking me to visit the centre again or please do not reply at all with such impossible solutions!     Idea Money manager (+91 [protected]) called me & asking my Credit card details for Cash back ... Could not give satisfactory explanation for what they need my credit card details. I clearly demand there reply on mail.

    On mail I received there reply as I have already received the cashback money for this Month INR 25 for my previous transactions.

    So the cashback money is Month Wise... This is not for all bill payments or recharges. Bluff!!

    Dear Idea Money.. Please dont highlight wrong info on website. Give clear offer of INR 25 cash back ... thats it!!

        Two days ago, i have recharged my 3g internet data plan for ₹295.
        According to message received i will get 3g data between 2gb and 10gb but i just received 1gb data.
        When i asked customer care about this they told me that extra 1gb data you can use between 12 am to 6 am.
        There is nothing in the message written about timing. I even have the screenshot of that message which i have attached.
        So, please resolve my complaint give me data i deserve.

          Hi,

          I'm Roshan Zameer. I stay in hyderabad. I'm using Idea 3G post paid with mobile number [protected]. For the last 6 months, I'm receiving calls from unknown numbers due to cross connection issue. They are dialing some number and it is getting redirected to my number [protected]. I have called Idea customer care several times for this issue. Everytime I raise a complaint, they will take 2 days time and will call me that the issue is resolved. But, I m still facing this issue. I atleast get more than 6 calls a day.

          Today 25th May 2016, I again called to Idea customer care. They said they will look into the issue. I asked them to transfer the call to the superior. They simply placed my call on hold for more than 5 minutes. Is this the way to treat the customer.


          Please look into this complaint.

            I have an idea prepaid sim.from past two weeks i am facing a problem.whenever i call someone feom my idea sim .idea promotes its packs like recharge 90 and get upto 120 . For 5-10 seconds. This is annoying me.every time i try to call same thing happens.i called idea customer care to stop this as i have Opted DND service.but they said that they cannot stop this as it's a company's rule.

                I applied for a new idea broadband connection on 1-may-2016 via one of idea's agent ganesh jadhav (

                My caf serial no : 36655
                He has taken documents and 3-month rental (Rs. 3748) and its been more than 4 week and still no connection.
                In starting, he was saying technical person will be visiting you tomorrow but his tomorrow never came and after 2 weeks he was saying we can't get the connection at your location then why the hell is idea stickers are all over the my society, so after that he was saying your application has been cancelled so will refund your documents and money and provided the number of the person who will be refunding the money (Vishal [protected]), he picked the phone once and said will be visit my location today but as always his today never came and now his phone is switched off for more than 1 week and ganesh the agent is not picking up my call.

                Complete frauds these guys are.
                Pathetic services by idea.

                  Hello,

                  My problem is that i have been charged more then the said to me in the isd pack.

                  I was said that if i call to uk then i will be charged at 5 paisa per sec.

                  But i was charged 12 rupees for 8 sec. & same was happened when i call to germany, i was charged 34 rupees for 2.25 min.

                  In this regarding i call to idea customer care. When i put out there mistake they cut he call.

                  It is not happened only once, again when tried to call customer care, same thing happened.

                  What to do now?

                  Help me to resolve this problem.

                    Hi my name is Tyron Dsouza and in December 2015 I had three postpaid connections ported from airtal to idea after clearing all dues with airtal I also made sure that I deposited a little extra than the due amount about 40 to 50 rupees in each of the three numbers and then 4 days later the number were transferred to idea and then a month or so later I got three letters from airtal that they was some dues pending of around 230 to 270 in each of the three number I tried to pay the amount asked in a lot of airtal offices but was unsuccessful they told me that they cannot accept payment as they system would not show any such dues now I turned to idea and told them what had happened they to tried to pay it from they side but we're unsuccessful ..and then I started getting messages that all three number are being barred and from then on they have been barring my number once or twice every month and I have tried everything even paid to have connection reissued but that has not worked either I have lost peace of mind and money as my business is dependent on my phone please help ASAP as they have barred my numbers again just now...

                      With highly disappointment i have to write this mail to you for your delayed and poor services. I don’t know how many more days you people are going to take to activate my postpaid connection, already it’s been 15 days.Inspite of writing mail to customer care, you are not understanding actual situation.
                      Incident is : i applied for a corporate postpaid connection online for my number [protected] through idea official website on 12 may and received a message as "dear customer, your request for a idea connection is registered and would be actioned within 8 hrs. Through lead id l2-939732.” after this i got a call from idea representative to keep documents and charges with me ready as they were about to come at my place to give me the postpaid sim. They came on 15 may, collected my documents and i gave them amount of rs 500 which was refundable and rs 100 as activation charge. They said my connection will get activated within 7 days. Still i have no activated connection and it’s been more than 10 days. I didn’t went to any idea store to give my documents, they themselve came to collect it from my flat. I cannot contact anyone except idea customer care. Consider the message received about lead id l2-939732 and try to check for the status of my postpaid connection else refund my money i don’t want to opt for idea connection after experiencing such a horrible services.

                          I get calls from different countries almost everyday. These calls are either missed calls or end up to be a wrong number.I suspect there is some cross line connection issue that is causing all this mess.

                            I've been an Idea customer for several years, but a few years have definitely been very unsatisfactory, especially, the last couple of years. Now, I am not getting calls even though you are promising on this site that your executive will call. I see a call that is quickly cut. I am not getting any solution by using 198 (which is cut auto) and via www.ideacellular.com

                            I received a huge bill for this month, more than twice the previous month for no reason. I only used the bandwidth that comes free with ! plans.

                            I am v dissatisfied and of course, have no other option but to discontinue data plans with you if you are not able to take care of complaints.

                            It has not yet been addressed. I have explained to your executive who was unable to explain why this huge bill amount despite using data within limit. Pls arrange for resolution immediately. He has only given one solution of sending mail to Appellate.

                            In the meantime, I will be reconsidering my 4 connections, which I had been trusting Idea with.
                            You have called at night, when I was commuting.

                            Can you send me the break up of hour by hour charges for the last 2 days of the billing cycle? You can see that the charges were suddenly applied to the tune of hundreds of rupees.

                              I have recharged with 251 2g data pack on 23 may. after that idea salesman upgraded my sim to 4g. initially my net pack was working fine. I got 1GB free 4G data, which is slower than 2g. Then I have placed my sim card in non-4g phone... after 100MB of free data usage my main balance started deducting. When I called customer care they told me that my 2G pack has been disabled due to that 1GB data. She told me that if you recharge with another data pack then your previous one was gone.. my complaint is that I have NOT recharged with any pack, that 1GB data was free offer from company. And also this is a totally non-sense point that previous data bundle is disabled.. I have recharged oftenly two data packs at a time but none of the previous one was deactivated any time... kindly refund me my 2G data pack, I don't want to use your 1GB 4G just reactivate my data pack which I have been recharged

                                Hi, My mobile # [protected]. Im frustrated with the charges on datapack proration. i have subscribed Rs.100 300MB pack. I got call from customer care service and they asked me to subscribe for 1GB pack Rs.150 for first 3 months. So, i have subscribed to that. Now, I got Bill is 1064.21. In that bill I have got Charges on Data Pack Pro-ration # as 286.72/- and over usage 308.72. What is the difference between pro-ration and over usage.
                                The explanation i'm listening from your Customer care executive that. I have used for complete month 450MB initially and again he is saying 800MB which is not clear. Which is not disclosed anywhere in the document. In my room and office, I'm using office network only. From last 2 years i didn't even cross 300MB. But, now they are saying i have used 800MB.I don't know what the hell is happening.I called 3 times to customer care service every time they are saying technical issue and asking me to call after some time.If i don't pay amount in time again, i need to pay the late fee who is responsible for that.

                                  Its regarding the swap of 3G sim into 4G sim. I contacted the customer support of Idea telecom company regarding the the swapping process before proceeding for it. They said that after swapping I will not loose any of my active packs such as net pack but after after swapping they stopped my net pack and deducted my main balance too. And when I contacted them for the same they are saying that its the part of the process and they are neither going to renew my pack nor going to return my main balance .

                                    Today morning, I saw an offer of 165 on my idea no [protected] which was promised to give me 1gb of internet, (screenshot attached with date and time), after recharge, my internet balance was still zero, upon using balance balance was deducted. Upon calling the customer care guy, nothing was resolved.
                                    Again, I recharged the phone with a top up of 20, received a message of its success. Yet, didn't receive any balance, and again called you guys, no issue was resolved. I am sending this text hoping both the issue get fixed. I have wasted half a min on the guys over the customer care section. I have my entrance today, and I had to receive very important documents today, just you people I am not being able to do so, can't call anyone in this distant world. I'm gonna sue you all people for all the problems you have made me go through.

                                      Idea netsetter 7100087 was purchased and it was never working smooth. Despite of various complaints it was never giving satisfactory performance. Finally decided to close this account. On 23rd march written them for closure but they were nagging and now claiming that i will have to pay rs. 1100 since the account is closed from 14th april. Now they are bothering with calls and mails.

                                        Previously i was the user of idea but after receiving the bill i was shocked.
                                        My idea postpaid rental plan was 549 p/m.In this they have to give us 2gb 3g data per month but in my idea application shown 4gb according to that we have used the data, bill generating date is 15th of every month, but on 14th i have seen data remaining was approximate 1gb. After bill generation they have added the extra charge for data uses.

                                        1- i have complain this matter in arya communication (Idea office) in waidhan, singrauli (M. P). They are telling to pay the extra data using bill.
                                        2- after receiving the cell from idea i have paid rs.1026 on 28/4/2016.
                                        3- again idea legal department cell me for remaining bill then i have paid rs.1400 on 09/05/2016.
                                        4- but again i have received the cell from idea [protected] they are telling to pay 1100 and also they scolding me. And telling to pay the bill otherwise we will claim on you.
                                        5- already i have requested by written mail to stop stop services a7 & disconnect the number to idea legal department. But they have not stop.
                                        6- again i have mail to arya communication waidhan for disconnecting the number.

                                        So, please look for the matter and i need clam from idea.
