This is running like a shop and not like an organization.
I have renewed a policy on 9th of april and I am yet to receive any IHO cards, voucher or documents. Every time you call them they start passing the parcel to the Paramount TPA, and so does Paramount to IHO. Executive will deny of any request if you ask for any service request status. Executive are not supportive and don't have proper knowledge as well. Just for a policy coverage document I have called more than 20 times to both Paramount and IHO.

      To The Officer in Charge,
      Indian Health Organisation,
      8th April 2016
Subject: Health Insurance Policy Number [protected]/24
      To whomsoever this may concern,
Dear Sir / Madam, Good day,
I would like to introduce myself as Darryl Athaide a resident from Vasai. I had received a call sometimes around the 1st week of December 2015 from one of your agents or employee, who introduced himself as Mr. Gurpreet Singh.
Mr Gurpreet Singh gave us such hopes of your policy being a wonder policy and we decided to purchase the Health policy for Rupees 5000. We were given to understand that we would receive our Health Insurance Cards in 2 days and within 14 days would have our blood samples taken for a Blood Test of more than 60 different results. As soon as we received the phone call with regards to our interest in joining the IHO Health Insurance policy within a couple of hours a person arrived at my home with the forms and on completion of the forms a cash amount of Rupees 5000 had been paid.
Sir / Madam, I received a mail with the Insurance cards around the 3rd week of December 2015, but with a misprint to my wife’s name. Ever since then I have been calling your organization requesting a card for my wife with the proper spelling to her name. In December the excuse was it was the holiday season and hence the delay. It has been 4 months now and neither have I received any corrected card for my wife and neither has any person come to take the Blood Sample for more than 60 Test that I was promised at the time of purchasing the policy.
I have made numerous calls in this regards but your organization does not seem to care about anything, leaving me to understand that I have been duped and this is a scam. I have lost all hopes about the wonderful things you say when you need customers and thereafter just leave your customers to feel cheated. I have lost Rupees 5000 and cannot believe an organization like yours would actually “cheat” us Indians.
      Waiting in anticipation,
      Darryl Athaide

I have been getting to many calls from this company. I have informed the agent that I am not interested in their company, yet I receive calls regularly. Sometimes, I would receive 3-4 calls a day and this is everyday. How do I go about remove my number from their list of contacts. I have an option of barring the number however a company should be understanding that if a consumer is not interested then there should be no calls going through to the individual. Kindly assist as this is literal harassment from the company over the phone.

Dear Sir/Madam, first of all we apologize for any issue that you might have faced as you have mentioned.

We never have claimed on our website or anywhere else to be authorised by either IRDA or the government of India, and the insurance that we provide is solely an add on benefit for member convenience on a no profit basis.

We strive for customer delight and try our best to live up to our member expectations, and in case there are any issues we assure you that we certainly take remedial action.

Also, we would like to gently clarify that we also have a set of tremendously satisfied members, who do not post on social media, considering they are happy with the services. Hence, it would be slightly unfair to form a broad judgement basis unhappy member comments, though we certainly take care of each case of member issues.

Even the most iconic names in any vertical would have some negative comments on social media, but we request you to understand that they are not organizations who provide only sub standard services. Same is the case with IHO.

Should you kindly feel that you have any unresolved issue with regards to IHO membership, please provide us your registered contact details at [protected]@ihomail.com or call us at[protected], and we can take this further.

                  Dear Sir,

We regret to inform you that this is an apparent case of cheating and IHO does not have affiliation with any organization with that name.

I am a member of Indian Health Organization and I have taken the THC Gold Family Plan for 1 year. IHO ID: IHO-2015-16/7207952. I wanted to utilize the dental services under the plan and contacted your Customer Care to fix an appointment with your empanelled dentist. The appointment was taken for my minor son Vivaan for Root canal and filling treatment with ‘My Dentist’, Sector 17 Vashi, Navi Mumbai on 8th October, 2015 at 6.00 pm. When we reached there on the appointed date and time, we were told that IHO did not inform the clinic of the appointment and therefore the pediatric doctor is not there to attend the patient. The staff said that they will give us the earliest appointment with the child specialist dentist for the next day i.e. 9th October, 2015. We were asked to get an OPG X-Ray done from the Centre referred by them and submit the same immediately as a confirmation from our end to go ahead with the dental treatment with them. The OPG X-Ray was taken (cost Rs.700) and submitted immediately to the clinic and they confirmed an appointment for 9th October at 8.45 pm. We reached the clinic on the appointed date and time. The owner of the clinic Dr. Sharad Kumar told us that a pediatrician doctor will be arranged on payment of Rs.5, 000/- who will be present with the child during the RC treatment being carried out by the clinic doctor. Dr Sharad Kumar also informed that they will charge Rs.6000/- per RC treatment with cap for two teeth and Rs.1500/- for filling of three teeth. The charges he said is after giving discount of 25%. The standard charges of dentists in sector 17 Vashi is Rs.5500 for RC with cap and Rs.900 for filling. When the overcharging issue was discussed with DR. Sharad Kumar, he informed that under the IHO arrangement, IHO refers its members to them against which dentists have to pay to IHO commission of 25%. The Smile Please Clinic is already overcharging, forget the discount, and is also putting patients to incur additional costs on expensive X-Ray reports and visiting doctors From the above case it is very clear that IHO is cheating the members after collecting membership charges. The discount on dental treatments is a bogus scheme. The members finally land up paying more for the treatment which they would have paid to other dentists without the scheme. It would make more sense if IHO fixes the discounted treatment charges with the dentists taking into consideration the standard market rates with 5% variation.

Dear Sir/Mam, Thank you so much for sending me the docket, which I recived today on September 03, 2015. I had purchased the Freedom Gold Plan in the month of March 2015, and payment receipt no : IHO-2015-4/693266 and dated April 08, 2015. As per the above subject I want to cancel above policy as it doesn't serve my porpose now.Importantly, the sales person Mr.kumar had gave wrong information while selling this poduct to me, when I opened this docket I found nothing is matching to what all he had promised me of getting the benefits, and I am unhappy with the way you are providing me the details/communication is very very low. I spoke to many of your managers, representatives over the time for getting the docket, but I was unable to get after so much of conversations. Now, I would like to request you to refund all my money immediately without any deductions and delays. Shall request your revert immediately.

I have paid and lost some money by taking membership. My mother is not feeling well and they had provided me Doctor at home coupons.. and upon asking them for arrangements they said it will take 2 working days. But in coupon its mentioned as 8 hous. And it is also mentioned that appointment will be given on same day. But all false information.

I purchased Health Card for Rs. 3500/- on 5th September 2015. Ever Since I made the payment there is no revert back from them nor they have provided me with health card. I called their called them on 18th and they said that they require three days to trace my payment and they will revert back tome, which they never did. I called them on 22nd September, 2015 and supervisor Rimble was patient enough in listening to me and promised to send me eHealth card on the registered mail ID which she has sent as promised. However, the list of hospitals and doctors was not provided and I have to search on their portal. After searching for three doctors I was barred from searching any more as they say is that I can not search for more than three doctors per day, which is ridiculous. IHO is a fit case to be taken to consumer court on the deficiency of the service. I have all the call recordings the promises that they have made and the denial of service after receiving my service. Also of note worthy is the fact that when you call their customer care, the interactive voice response systems reads that IHO has 10, 000 doctors in 20 cities which is not at all true. I searched their doctors database and I hardly find around 200-300. I do not find any major hospital listed. One can find only small nursing homes where you cannot find a specialist. My sincere advice to anyone who is interested in IHO please read all the complaints and take a decision. These guys have to be sued and they are worthless. Better invest in reputed Medical Insurance than investing in these thugs.

Hi, IHO is not just a fraud, it is a leech. Blood sucker and a$#@$&%%&^. I got hospitalised after a month and a half after taking the policy. They refused to provide a claim form and never allowed me to claim the hospitalisation. People working for them knowing all these are also a group of^%$&^&%(&*% who cheat us. This is also kind of hidden extortion. I want to teach these ppl a lesson. Why don't we all join hands and do something about it. We should be able to do surely save some people from losing money. My phone is [protected]. I am a very disturbed policy holder of IHO. On 22-Nov 2014, I was approached by a IHO executive and offered me " Freedom Gold Plan" . During the call he had told me that the concession on hospitalisation would be 55% and I will have to pay 45%. He said that the offer was available only for that day and rushed me into the plan. SO I paid Rs 4950 immediately to become a member. After that the next day when I visited the website I saw that the concessions were only 15% to 20%. The 2 people who sold me this plan were Shweta and her boss Sanjiv[protected]. So I did not accept the verification call. I wanted to cancel the card. I kept saying hat I want to cancel the card and my refunded. Shweta[protected] then called up and said that there are so many other benefits and it is worth the money. Also if I do not accept the card, it will go in an infinite loop. SO I should atleast accept the card and then return back if I am not happy. But if I do not accept the card, I will never get back my money. So finally I accepted the card. On receiving the card, I wanted to check the services. So I requested for my Mother's Freedom Healthcheck package which is done through Thyrocare on 24-Dec-2014. I was told to pay Rs 200 as service charges(again which was not informed earlier). I was told that this service is taken care in the package. But I just went ahead and got it done by paying Rs 200. Then in Feb 2015, My daughter was not feeling well. So I raised a request for Doctor's home visit. I was told that this facility is not available in Coimbatore. SO I raised a complaint that if all these facilities were not available in Coimbatore, why was this plan sold to me saying that all these facilities are available in Coimbatore. Then one lady executive by name Rashmi( who sends out mail from the mail ID Bhaskar [protected]@ihomail.com approached me, tried to understand the problem and after many telephonic discussions offered me a mediclaim policy Family Gold Plan for my myself and my Mom. She said that the I cannot claim for any hospitalisation till 30 days except for accidental cases. After 30 days I can claim for hospitalisations. And so I took up the membership by paying Rs 6495 on 9-Mar-2015. On 1-Apr-2015, I had to get admitted in the hospital for some infection and so I called up the IHO customer care to inform them that I am advised by the doctor to get admitted for some tests. I am being informed that I will not be able to make this claim as I have not been given the insurance number yet. I asked them Ok fine, once I get the insurance number, I will send the claims as I was told that I can use after 30 days of membership. But I was told that I can claim only after an insurance number has been provided. That makes it 60 days of claims cannot be made. I asked why is it so and why was I not informed about this. They said this is how it is and stopped taking my calls. Also the executive(Male customer care executive) speaks as though they are giving us charity and we are taking their services for free. he talks so rudely. I feel cheated. I told them that if my concern is not addressed I will make a complaint. They told I can do whatever I want. Now after getting discharged from the hospital and better health, I am writing this to you. I have informed them that I will also be writing this same mail to consumer forum and IRDA also. Thanks Nita

I have taken a family plan based on their sales executive promising tall benefits that included 20 to 30 % rebate on hospitalisation bills. 15 to 20 % rebate on the consultation fees, lab tests etc. On their website also they claim pan india coverage for prominent hospitals like Apolo, Manipal, etc. The truth during recent hospitalisation of my dad, Apollo hospital has claimed ignorance of IHO, they did not entertain any rebate. Even the support team from IHO backtracked saying that they Apollo hospital coverage is only for some basic lab tests involving blood samples etc. SUCH A FRAUD IHO COMPANY. I paid rs 6000/- for family coverage, and could not use even a single time for my entire family I want my full money back and also want legal action on this company.. How can the Indian govt all such a fraud to happen on consumers ?

                                        Address: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

I received a call from IHO stating that they are part of WHO and said if I own an IHO card I will be offered 50% on consulting + 20% discount on Hospital charges and major surgery and treatment etc etc. And gave me information about the policy and suggest me to purchase Rs/- 2950 plan for family of 4 members. He said that I can use these cards in any clinics, any hospitals in any place. If I am not satisfied with the plan I can go for cancellation, there will be no extra charges for that and entire money will be refunded he said. He insisted me to buy this policy and I got convinced as there will be no charges if I go for cancellation later. We are family of 5 members so I have done extra payment for 1 member and paid total of Rs/[protected]+510) through IVR- Credit card.(Registered mobile: [protected]) After few days I have seen details about my plan in IHO website then I had realized that during purchasing the IHO representative gave me totally wrong information about the plan. I see in website that cards will be accepted only in IHO network hospitals ( I tried asking in Yashoda hospital, Secunderabad but didn?t accept) and then I decided to cancel my membership. Immediately I called to IHO customer care "Jyothi" and told the same. She said that cards are ready for printing and they have some rules and regulations that they can?t accept request for cancellation before the cards get dispatched to me and also said I can raise cancellation request after getting the cards. After few days I got a call regarding welcome KIT and they are about to dispatch it. Got the cards 2 days after the call. I called the customercare for raising cancellation request. Then they were trying to convince me by giving some other plans and some insurance coverage etc etc. I said that I?m not interested in any plans and requested them to refund my money. They cut the call simply without responding. I called them again and again. No proper response. After few Days I got the call from another person saying that they can reduce 1000 Rs/- for that plan if I want but can't cancel the plan and also said like cancellation request is accepted only before the cards get dispatched. Same discussion was going for some time. Later I got call from another person that they can give 50% money refund (1730 Rs/- ) after I send entire KIT back to them. I was not agree with them and they simply cut the call. Again I got call from another executive the next day saying that after calculation only 500 Rs/- they can refund If I go for cancellation.otherwise I won't get that 500 Rs/- also she said. Meanwhile I got a call from [protected] (True caller information- Name:Sahki Place: Delhi Metro) saying that they can increase my credit card limit as I applied for IHO Cards and asked me to confirm my credit card details. I have given my card number and expiry number. Later after disconnecting the call I have observed that he called from mobile number not from land line. I got a doubt and called him back asked about it. He was saying like they are mediators between my bank and IHO, they are provided with mobiles only. I just left that topic there itself as he can?t use that card without OTP/Password. 2 days after that I got a call from my bank saying that somebody is using my creditcard and trying to purchase something worth of Rs/-19, 000 in FLIPKART by giving random passwords. So immediately I asked them to block the card and a got a doubt on the person who called for me to increase my credit card limit so tried calling that mobile number which is switched off. I called IHO customer care[protected] and told about this credit card illegal usage. They said they can't help me on it. I have resent entire KIT back to the cancellation department of IHO. They refunded 500rs to my account. Please find the attachment for the same and sent me message like they refunded 1725rs. I have checked with my bank also. I request you to take immediate action on this and help me in getting my full money(3460 Rs) back please. Thanking you in advance..!! Nagender Pulluri +91-[protected]
