TO The Consumer Forum, IRCTC dear sirs, this is with reference to my train journey from Bhubaneswar to Chennai & the prevalent state of affairs, the total NEGLIGENCE OF DUTY /lack of responsibility/ accountability on the part of the concerned railways staff. I had a very bitter / horrible experience on the train no : 12510, train name-Gauwhati Bangalore express, date of journey : 12th November 2014, PNR :[protected], coach no : S6 seat -57. I had big difficulty in boarding this reserved coach S6 at Bhubhaneswar station, there were unauthorised travelers who had occupied all seats, this coach is said to occupy only 72 passengers legitimately, but there were more than 300 passenger inside the coach. many passengers were seated in the pathways inside the coach. it was so difficult to even walk inside the coach to my reserved seat/berth .i had to argue/quarrel/fight with the unauthorized passengers occupying my seat. lots of luggage was dumped near the toilets. one side door of the coach was completely sealed and blocked by these unauthorized passengers. people were sleeping in the pathways of this coach. even to go to the toilets during the day and night was so difficult. the wash basin was dumped with luggages. this reserved coach S6, resembled worse than an unreserved compartment. almost all these unauthorized passengers were laborers/labour class. there was no sign of the T.T throughout my journey from Bhubhaneswar to Chennai. I have in this very same East coast train route, during my earlier in February month in 2014 from howrah to Chennai during a train journey, I faced the same problem. I sincerely appeal to the railways department, to own up their responsibility for the above state of affairs & kindly request you to : 1) to please reimburse my travel expenses as a compensation for the mental agony I have suffered during my journey. 2) please sack the concerned staff who were not doing their duties, and correct the above by remedial actions/ measures. awaiting your reply, with regards raam kumar Chennai e mail : [protected]@yahoo.co.in

    Today at 8.08 pm I received SMS on my mobile # [protected] from ICICI BANK that " Tran of INR 872.47 using credit card 4xxx5003 is made at IRCTC ON 17-NOV-14". On checking with the bank they have informed me that this amount is against transaction I'd 002019 on 17-NOV-14. I have not booked any ticket today and I am surprised how this amount has been charged to my credit card. I had booked a ticket using this credit card yesterday, the PNR no of which is [protected] and the total fare charged was same I.e 872.47 on my above credit card. What surprises me is the same amount of 872.47 is again charged to my credit card although I have neither booked any ticket nor did I visit IRCT site today. I therefore request you to immediately revert this amount back to my card with intimation to me. I am advised by my bank to file police complaint but I thought it proper to resolve the matter through your "Online Complaint Forum". Hope the matter will be resolved immediately.       Dear Sir/ Madam, This is regarding a ticket I bought from IRCTC online portal. Details of that ticket is as given below: Transaction ID [protected] PNR Number [protected] Train No 12262 From HWH To CSTM Date of Journey 04-Nov-2014 Date of Booking 03-Nov-2014 I had been ill previously and on the evening of the 3rd of November, I had fever with quite high temperatures. On checking the reservation status of my ticket, around 08:40 pm, I came to understand that I had been allotted an RAC ticket for the journey next morning. Since this would have been impossible for me in that physical condition, I enquired about cancellation process of such e-tickets, and was directed to TDR filing with reason "Passenger Not Travelled Due To Ticket In RAC After Chart Preparation". I was told by some knowledgeable people to do the TDR filing within two hours of the train leaving the boarding station. Therefore, on the next morning (4th November), a TDR was filed from my IRCTC account for the above-mentioned ticket at around 10:17 a.m., and also a tatkal ticket was bought, the details of which is given below: Transaction ID [protected] PNR Number [protected] Train No 12262 From HWH To CSTM Date of Journey 05-Nov-2014 Date of Booking 04-Nov-2014 I will also state for the record that I had been to a doctor on the morning of 4th of November, in the vicinity of my home in Sarengabad, BudgeBudge, Kolkata 700137. I can produce the Doctor's prescription if need be. Also, that I did travel to Mumbai on the next day, 5th of November, using my tatkal ticket (PNR Number [protected]). The TTE did check the sms sent by IRCTC to my mobile, and asked for verification document (Pan Card in this case). Yet, yesterday I received this mail, stating "Dear Customer, With reference to refund against PNR Number [protected] with reason Passenger Not Travelled Due To Ticket In RAC After Chart Preparation., it is advised that Railway has introduced Enhanced Coaching Refund System (ECRS), through which e- ticket refund cases against which TDRs are filed are directly registered and transferred to the concerned Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds. Your refund was dealt and regretted by Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds CR under case No. [protected] with reason, As per chart, passenger has travelled." Sir, this is clearly a breach of our trust in the Indian Railway system. I DID NOT travel on 4th November, and DID travel on 5th November. There is either a huge mistake on someone's part, or, may be the truth is much more sinister and stinks of bribes and unauthorized sale of tickets. Please look into this matter as soon as possible, or I would have to knock other doors to seek a redressal.         Train cancelled but not refund Train reservation PNR No-[protected], Trans ID-[protected] DOJ- 11.10.2014, Train No-12740 VSKP GARIB RATH from VSKP to SC was cancelled by railway dept due to cyclone"Hud-Hud" on Visakhapatnam. We take enquiry from Station Master at Hyderabad and they comments that the train has been cancelled and refund will be automatically done in your account but till date no any refund.           With lots of trust on Indian government run'IRCTC', we had booked Dakshin Darshan Pilgrim Packages for our old aged parents, but the tour is coming out to be a big failure with the kind of hardships faced by our Parents on account of mismanagement and misco-ordination. The Tour started just 2 days back, and right from the beginning there are issues, not even a single day has passed by wherein our parents have repented our decision to trust IRCTC.I will highlight few points below: 1)The Train was 4 hours late for boarding itself, no prior info was provided and so, the old aged parents had to sit on the railway platform, in the extreme cold. 2)The Train reached late on the first sighseeing place'Ujjain'. 3)The Schedule is changed at Ujjain, not following the Itinerary mentioned on IRCTC website. 4)The train was scheduled to start at 9:30 PM from Ujjain, and it started at 1:30 Am on following day, and all the Pilgrims were forced to sit on the railway platform in the extreme cold.And as this was not planned, and coordinated, nobody was carrying woolens for the night, as all the stuff was kept in the train and the Train was taken to Indore for some repairs. Inspite of the above, there was no arrangement from the Railways for this situation, if there is a delay due to Railways, it is their responsibility to arrange suitable facilities like woolens/bedding/accommodation, but there was no trace any such arrangement, and it was only full of mismanagement. With that, i'd urge railways to recall this tour and refund everytbody's money, as we've lost our trust on Railways and cannot leaved our old aged parents at the behest of irresponsible persons.

                        Booking Transaction Id: [protected] Dated 15.11.2014 All E-Ticket booking procedures followed properly and payment made by NEFT from my ICICI savings account (I have necessary bank document to prove the transfer of the fund to IRCTC), but tickets not booked. I don't know what went wrong. I request you to refund my money (Rs. 4108.71) to my ICICI Savings A/C as early as possible.

                          I HAVE ALREADY LODGED A COMPLAINT ON[protected] ON THE ABOVE SUBJECT.THIS IS REGADING TICKET BOOKED ON[protected] BY TRN NO ;12295/SANGAMITRA EXP FOR TRAVEL BETWEEN BANGALORE - CHENNAI ON[protected]. AMOUNT WAS DEBITED ON MY SBI DEBIT CARD TWICE VIDE TXN#[protected] AND TXN#[protected]. THIS IS ALREADY TWO WEEKS OLD. GRATEFUL FOR EARLY SETTLEMENT OF MY CLAIM OF RS.1133.72.
                          SO FAR NO ACTION APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN TAKEN ON MY COMPLAINT. REQUEST EARLY ACTION.
                          LET ME KNOW THE ACTION TAKEN ON MY COMPLAINT.I AM YET TO GET THE REFUND.

                            The catering contractor of train No 12618 do not provide any menu or tell properly the details of food items available with them. They only say Veg food and at the end of journey (in the second night) collect money at the rate of Rs 94.00 per plate of Veg meals. On 27th sep 2014 I boarded the train from Itarsi and hsd Veg food from the pantry car. On 28th the attender asked payment @ Rs 94.00 per meal. On asking why is your food so costly, he sald that this is our rate and there is no other cheaper food available with the pantry. On insisting he gave me bill for the amount (though hesitatingly). On enquiry it was revealed that the contractor is cheating the passengers by hiding the fact that he is bound to provide Veg meals @ Rs 40.00 or so per plate. Please look in to the matter seriously and provide compensation to me and relief to other passengers. On ringing to the toll free number of IRCTC it was told that the complaint can be lodged at the same time only in such cases. Sir how is it possible in the KONKAN rails where there is no net work coverage for long long distances. please provide instant relief and save the passengers form being looted by IR/IRCTC/Catering contractor. please let me know is there any monitoring mechanism by IR/IRCTC for checking such type of robberies.

                            Filthy train.. Even in 2nd ac toilets are not been clean from last 24 hours. No towel provided by attendant. Only fare increasing.facility are zero. It is dissapinting
                            Very bad experience in 3 tier 2nd AC travel. Very filthy and odoury. Toilets, dust bins and coaches are not cleaned even once during 55 hrs of journey including delay. No towel and soap in bathroom provided. Personally don't recommend for family travel.

No one should take disadvantage of my important documents what was in my purse, hence registering my complaints.                                   supplied mineral water bottles in bad condition with mfg date 2nd jun 14 ...feedback performa to whom given served them many time with tea and coffee on birth 49, 50, 51 on train 12260 departure from delhi to sealdah 14 Nov .when asked by me "Mr. ks purohit birth 47 B2" told no hot water available by Mr. bapi serving caterer. ...and just after half an hour 6 to 7 coffees were made available by said caterer to the person on birth 49, 50, 51 B2. ...

                                    Sir, I booked train tkts from vijayawada to secunderabad for 13.4.2014 night special train with txn nos.[protected] &[protected] and both times an amount of Rs.322.49/- was deducted from my sbi savings acct.A total of Rs.644.84/-was deducted from my acct.and both times tickets were not generated into my irctc acct.Therefore pl.refund my amount immediately.                                       Dear sir You sent this mail With reference to refund against PNR Number [protected] with reason Passenger Not Travelled., it is advised that Railway has introduced Enhanced Coaching Refund System (ECRS), through which e- ticket refund cases against which TDRs are filed are directly registered and transferred to the concerned Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds. Your refund was dealt and regretted by Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds SC under case No. [protected] with reason, As per chart, passenger has travelled . Here my query is Passenger has travelled as per your records. Due to sickness i was not travelled on that date. Later i was booked another ticket through my login ID and travelled by me. I am not travelled on the day where TDR was filed by me.where i was supposed to cancel my train ticket before 3 hrs. It stating that ticket cancellation is not possible file TDR. I filed TDR as a reason Passenger Not Travelled. How far it is correct as per chart the passenger has travelled with out travelling the passenger. If the Ticket Collector was sold my ticket to some other passenger and get money from them and wilfully entered in in the chart Passenger has Travelled. Where is the proof and how can i believe he is not sold my ticket to some other passenger for getting money and entered passenger has traveled in the chart . Here i attach my TDR history and My Ticket booking history where you get my subsequent journey details for your perusal. I am awaiting your prompt response.

                                        hi, I had a really bad experience in Mumbai to Delhi Duronto Express. We were served rotten food and beverages when we asked the train crew members to replace the food they refused and left the compartment and never returned back. Since we all were very hunhry so we decided to hunt for the manager and other staff members. But unfortunately, it brought us no success as we were denied to replace the food. Besides, the bedding was very dirty and incomplete Only a few lucky passengers could get the hand towel and other few could managet to get pillow without covers.
