Sub: Complaint and Clarification Regarding Policy No.01863300

Sir/Madam,
This for your kind information that last month I had received call from your Delhi Head office and one girl introduced herself self as branch manager of kotak life insurance company and explain me regarding a Plan Kotak Super Advantage whose contents are given below.

1. That I have to pay Premium only for 3 years and after that if will withdraw the same after completion of 5th year then 120% of 1st premium will be paid by the company along with the fund value which I would pay in 3 years to you.

2. That Sum Assured of RS 800000/- will be continued till the age of 75yr if at the time of withdrawal I left 10% of total fund value remain in the folio and mortality charges will be deducted every year from that amount for the continuation of said assurance value.

3. That my funds will be invested in market from the very 1st year (Maximum portion in Govt. securities and rest in Equity market)

4. That No allocation, withdrawal and any other type of charges will be deducted from your amount except mortality charges.

5. Death claim will be applicable in case of Natural, Accidental and public Transport for all three reasons.

But I was very much surprised to read the policy when I received the same dated on 5th fib 2010 that almost all the things those were told were not in line as told by the advisor like.

1. as per your Policy page 11th no.14. Charges in which it is clearly said that first year premium will not be allocated towards the investment fund.

2. Policy administration charges page 11th which is .25% every month.

3. It is not clearly mentioned anywhere in policy that if at the time of withdrawal I left 10% of total fund value remain in the folio then policy will be continued till the age of 75yrs and only mortality charges will be deducted every year from that amount for the continuation of said assurance value.

4. It is nowhere written clearly that after the payment of three premiums if will withdraw the amount on completion of 5th yr then 120% will be given as fixed advantage multiple.

5. I have not opted for ECS facility for premium payment but it is written on the scan image printed on the back pages that I have taken the same.

6. On 2nd last page of policy where terms and condition are printed I have not signed on the same i.e. both of the signatures showing on page are not mine which clarify that somebody done forge signature of mine on the same which is a major compliance issue.

7. According to IRDA ruling it is mandatory that before issuance of a policy insurance company has to confirm all the benefits and charges to beneficiary but I have not received the same as mobile no. mentioned on policy is not mine and also does not exist.

On the whole all the above said commitments told by the advisor but are not in actual as per policy I received need written confirmation from the company side else I will be forced to surrender your policy right now of move further by taking help of provision 13(3) public grievance redressal rule 1998/Consume redressal forum.

LIC — Dual deposit of Premium

My premium is deposited by LIC from bonus and me also paid by cash.
Now, I need refund of it.
As deposited twice.

I have also received a call from Kotak life insurance. But only the difference is they are asking that I can withdraw money after 3 years and I will be paid one lac and seventy three thousand Rs without any deduction.This all will be tax free.

I am also recieveing call from Kotak regarding the policy "Kotak Super Advantage" The Guy name Rajeev and as per him the policy is :-

Deposit 50k 1st year + 2nd year 50 K + 3rd year 50 K= 1.5 + 1L ( fix bonus) + 12% compund interest so the total come approx 2.8 L in 36 Month . And also cover 5L personal insurance till the age of 75.

One can withdraw approx 2.8 L in 37th Month. So this shows that your money will be double in 3 years.

I dont know why kotak Mahindra is doing like this.

i have also received call from delhi office saying that u will get this much amount i[censored] invest for 3 year.
i realy don't come to know how they manage to give such high return in such tough condiition and no other company or fund have plan like this.
I too agree. I got a call today regarding the Same Super Advantage Plan. I did a search in google for Kotak Super Advantage Plan as I could not get details easily on the Kotaklifeinsurace.com. My first search link ended up here at consumercomplaints.in.

These are products sold by person using gimmicks. They sell dreams which they are not sure of. Why an enterprise highly reputed using such corrupt marketing guys to spoil the goodwill of the enterprise and product.

Just think... the lady from Delhi want us to make decision of investment for 25 to 30 years (for ULIPS) in just an hour or two inducing the bonus offer or deadlines to register...GIMMICKS for Marketing
kotak seriously sucks i think LIC & IDBI foritis wealth surance are far better i have taken wealth surance and no allocation charges have been deducted I was happy that time but still marketting guys misrepresent the things for sure we need to be careful before taking any policy !!
I also got a call from Rajeev as per him, if i invest 30000 for 3 years my fund will comes to be 172000 (gauranteed) . i think it is totally baseless commitments


Premium-30, 000 for 3 yrs.
Bonus-200% Gurenteed On your 1st year premium.
Insurance-5 lac.
Medical Claim- 1lac.
Returns-10-12%.

thank you for the awareness.i too received a call from Kotak life ins., bhilai branch and the manager prabal singh had given me in written that in super advantage if i invest Rs. 1 lc every year on a 20 year policy, after three years my fund will be Rs. 390000/-.with an assured return of 13% P.A. Further even after i withdraw Rs. 3.80 lac from the fund and retain Rs. 10000/- balance my policy will continue till the term. On the basis of their explanation i had taken a policy. When i read the brochure, i found that there is no assured returns on the policy and the fixed advantage is only 200% of initial premium and Dynamic advantage is payable only if i continue payment of premium till 20 years. There is no assurance of 13% return. Further if i withdraw my fund value after 3 years leaving 10000/- my policy will not continue.

It is sad on the part of the reputed Kotak Life to allow their employees to play with the good will and reputation of the company for short term gains. As i am having written documents mentioning above, i am taking up the matter in court of law against the company.
Thanks for posting the complaint. Somebody called me now about the same plan. After seeing all this, I'm thinking not to invest in this plan.

my husband (already had one kotak smart mutual fund) received call saying that u will get Rs. 134000/- amount i[censored] invest for 3 yearRs. 25000 p.a..
Plus telecaller told my husband that u can even convert ur existing kotak smart advantage scheme to this scheme
i realy don't come to know how they manage to give such high return in such tough condiition and no other company or fund have plan like this.THIS SEEMS TO BE FAKE.

Dont beleive the Marketing Guys Blindly which will end up us in a deep trouble.

Just now I got a call from their kolkata branch and the lady wanted to explain about this plan. Though I can invest some money, i said that i don't have any plan to invest right now, just to escape from these 'smart' marketing people.

Before investing your money anywhere, do research on your own instead of just going by words from someone unknown to you over a phone call.
The thing which happened with the person who raised the complain happened with me. The sales office executive told me that premium would be allocated from 1st year onwards and there won't be any administrative charges, but in the policy documetn which i got yesterday no such things are mentioned. Infact they are not allocating any portion of first years premium. When i called up their customer care for clarification, they told that the policy is the same whatever is given in policy document and if i withdraw my money after 3 years but before maturity then my first years premium would be taken by them plus there would be 4% surrender charges, even after 3 years. Indirectly it says, if you want to get benefit, you should continue to pay premiums for 2 years.
I too received a call from Kotak regarding Kotak Super advantage plan, as per them i have to pay a Rs.20000/- p.a for 3years. after 3 years i can surrender the policy and i will get Rs.120000/- confirm return. I will also get a insurance policy worth Rs.5lac, if i want to continue insurance policy after 3 years then they will deduct 1st premium amount from Rs.120000/-.
Please can any body guide it is safe to invest in this policy.

I received a similar call from some Mr. Shivam (Delhi HQ). He confirmed me a similar guaranteed return on this plan.
>Investment-30000p/a for 3 years
>After 3 years-145000 guaranteed return of which I can withdraw 90% amount and the balance I can withdraw after 5th year.
>Insurance of 3L would continue for next 75 years if I let 5% amount in my policy
>Zero tax on the interest from withdrawal.
>Tax deduction applicable under both 80cc as well as 10D. Dual tax benifit.
>He also mentioned that all this would be mentioned in the investment form.
> I should invest immediately as otherwise this plan may be withdrawn any time.

It makes me now wonder if this only a trap to lure investors. I would definately have to withdraw my thoughts on investing on this plan. Thanks you Mr. Singh and all others who have taken time out to express their views on this dubious plan.
I have also been trapped by kotak smart advantage agent and he too assured me that I will get a good return and can withdraw the amount in three years and keep the corpus so that after the term period of 15 years is over i will get the assured amount I will please request somebody how can i get all the premium amount from them i am least interested in their benefits. Please give a good suggestion who should i contact to get my invested money back with out any interest.

I also got a call from one of representative from kotak named sandeep khowala. He told me that it's not a ulip product rather would be invested in mutual funds, so there is no danger in investing into the product. But later on i inquired from kotak site where it was clearly mentioned that it is purely a ulip product. So, basically these representative's basic motto is to loot ur money and try to convince you to invest in such products where they have more commissions.
Moreover i am fed up with any of the ulip products. I have 4-5 ulip products and none of them has shown any sort of growth. My fund values are less than what i have invested in 3 years. So, i would suggest that fixed deposits are better than any ulip products as they would never give you negative value and atleast you can grow ur hard earned money though slowly but satisfactorily.
:) I got call 3 times from 3 diffrent Guys. 1st one told me I will get 200% bonus of the 1st premium, If I will pay 30000 as 1st prm. I will get 60000+ sum assured after 3 years. 2nd one told me I will get Sum assured+200% bonus+12% compound interest. And 3 one was great among all for selling dreams, her name was Priya she called me from Kotak head off. Branch Sec.18 Noida phone no was [protected]. According to her I will get 180% bonus of 1st Prm. and I can withdraw it after 6 months...amzzzzzz...its the 1st Paln I heard ever which will double your money in just 6 months whereas others take 8-10 years if i am correct.

And some things to be noticed, this plan opens for 1 or two days only( I am getting calls for 1 month ) and If i have finance probs they can give us a weeks time... Bond papers will be issued after making the Payment...

Please beware of Kotak Mahindra, lagacy proverb ( Nakkalo se Savdhan) has been changed now ...:)
I just gotta call from Kotak, an executive spoke followed by a sales rep. I dont wanna repeat what ppl have already said in this forum. But yes its about the same promises. In brief; 50K invested today will become 91K in 3 years and its tax free blah blah...he also talked abt 15 days of free look period where u can cancel the policy i[censored] are not in terms with the policy that u received. - What do u ppl suggest? thanks for this post...i was about to fall in this trap of 200% guaranteed bonus on 1st premium and compound interest for 3 years lockin period.
the guy disconnected the phone when i said if he can mail/post me Kotak's brochure carrying the same terms and conditions which he mentioned on the phone. he said he cannot provide that.
these people expect us to invest the money by just listening to them over the phone and then they keep asking if i have any doubt with the policy details.
this is the 2nd bad experience i have with Kotak...1st was with Savings Bank Account wherein they started deducting money due to non maintainence of average minimum balance even though i have a letter on Kotak's letter head signed by the branch manager stating this is a zero balance account apart from verbal confirmation at the time of account opening.

Kotak Mahindra, sorry to say but you have lost it completely.
I feel sorry because its an Indian company trying to fool Indians.
IRDA clearly says that the project of any fund must be 6 % to 10 % and based upon the market performance. I dont understand how this company can say 200 and 300. These people keep on calling me atleast 3 times are week even after saying I am not intrested in this.
I also lost 6000 Rs in Birla after investing it in a period of 6 years, a big fund was allocated to insurance and premium allocation charges.
It is better not to invest in Private who promises a big return.

Just now I got a call promoising almost the same thing. How big scandle is this?? If kotak is not doing this and if they are not they should come out and say what is correct. Blooddy every one is on a run here. Infact agent lady is giving me the personal contact details buillshit what I am suppose to do with it. This is is just insane!!

After a long chain mail war with the company officials, CC to IRDA and company grievance cell, the branch manager of Ludhiana location from Kotak life insurance personally visited twice at my home and apologies and I handed over my policy to him for free look, I finally got my money back after nominal deduction of rs 180/- only even free look period was over...

I also got the call from kotak pune, for the poilicy, and told the same things regarding, the policy, that if you cancel your policy after 3 years you get 1lakh 63 thousands but they have not mentioned in the policy documents. and if you complete your policy for 20 years then you get 57 lakh as a return for the investment of 36 thousand per year, and when I asked in the main branch that is it true, that such type of information is not my document, that i will get that much of amount, they told me that you will get nearly, 22 lakh after 20 years, means they lie with me, and all the above people. And yes I agree with this complaint. Please don't take kotaks policy hereafter.

even i got the call's the same and send the 200% for 1st year...
i followed the same and paid for 1 years now. recntly i called for kotak coutmer care...
and came to know that this total amount of 200% will recevie on 20 year only, and if i try to withdraw the amout after 5 year's, i will got only 4 year's amount and intrest amount. this is bulll sit i dont want to do about my 1st year amount...

It Looks like acomplete fraud.For last four months i have been receiving calla from officials of Kotak Mahindra to convert my Super Advantage lifeinsurace Policy No 09188169 Yearly premium of Rs 40, 000 and Policy No01909002 with Yearly premium of Rs 36, 000 as the Government has diallowed the scheme.
I have been trying to contact Bombay office Ph [protected]/ [protected] but no one picks up.
My date of birth is 05/03/1939 clearly not eligibe for any insurance...
I think I have been badly trapped and befooled...

Kotak Mahindra cheated in same way to my brother also, these companies who make false commitments shoud be sued.
I agree kotak co is like this only they just want their business so they are fooling people around and doing business as I have also rec the cal from delhi and invest Rs. 50, 000/- and now crying for the same.
They will explain somthing else and give documents of somthing other.

I got a call from the Kotak life head office, Delhi saying that your cell no had been selected for our anniversary offer which is for 15 days only it is not a transferable only you can take it as your no had been shorlisted it a shortterm plan that is for 3 years only.In 4th year you will get fixed returns.It is special plan which is not available in any nearest Kotak office or agent only you will get ir through us.
They told me minimum Rs.30, 000/- for 3 yesrs and on 4th year you will get fixed return of Rs. 1, 39, 400/- it is 150% return in 1st yr, 8% in rest 2 yr.You will get a bonus cheque of Rs.6000/- for taking this policy because instead of giving benifit to the agents or middle man we are giving it to you. There wont be any allocation charges.
After Taking a policy you will rec a welcome kit within 15days and after that within 45 days you will rec the bond papers with bonus cheque in which all the terms and condition would be mention. If you are not satisfied with it or it dont match with what we said to you you can cancell it within 1 months time and you will rec your money back.
I have rec the welcome kit in 1 mths time but but it does not mention the terms and condition which was told to me.When i asked them they told me it is just a kit main is the BOND PAPERS which will carry all the things mentioned to you and a bonus cheque will get to you in 45 days.
The welcome kit is showing all diff things to which was told to me.They didnt told me there would be 100% allocation charges in that. I have taken policy in june, 2010. Policy no 02037667

GUYS DONT INVEST IN KOTAK.. THEY ARE TOTALLY DOING FRAUD BUSINESS.. I WILL MEET THEM IN COURT NOW...
On[protected] at about 10-15 a.m. on phone call received from call centre of Kotak Mahindra as told by the caller, who introduces
himself as Karan -from Kotak Mohindra life insurance at my residence phone no[protected]. My younger brother picked up the phone and after listening the conversation from the caller he express no interest in the service offered by the caller and disconnects the phone. The same caller rang up immediately again and pressurized to accept the offer once again we refused to take the service. The caller continuously ranged our phone even after refusal at third time also. After receipt of four continuous call from said caller I taken up the phone and asked why he is disturbing us as we are not interested in his offer. After two or three words he started abusing me on the phone and shouted on phone and disconnected the phone.

Sir, this kind of service of any company is clearly the violation of the rights of the Indian citizen. I request your good self to take immediate strict action against such kind of your employees so that the name of your company may not spoil and this kind of situations
may not be faced by any one again.

Hoping your personal intervention to stop illegal activities of such kind of callers in future.

Kotak Super Advantage has cheated me of one installment of Rs.20, 000/-
I have surrendered and received one installment less alongwith their charges.
As per them the first year premium paid by us is kept reserved by them for the no. of years invested and will be paid provided the policy is in force and all premiums are paid.
This particular clause is not mentioned in the Surrender clause. As per them it is there somewhere.
Can anyone suggest to recover money back from Kotak what action should be taken.

    Dear Sir,
    I'm a bonafied user of Kotak Credit Card using the same and used to pay their dues always within due dates.
    As per stmnt dt: 20-NOV-09 I was supposed to pay Rs.431.00 within 7thDec2009. I paid the amount Rs.431.00 vide cheque no. 801387 dt 30-11-09 on Axis Bank, Kankurgachi Br. Kol-54. But unfortunately there was a clerical mistake as the amount was written as " Four hundred thirty only". I got an sms that " Your cheque has been dishonoured by your Bank". After geting the sms I paid Rs.431.00 in cash on 04-Dec-2009 (DUE DATE: 07-Dec-2009) in Kotak Mahindra Bank, Kolkata Main Branch, Park St. Kol.
    After that in next bill Kotak has charged me Rs. 500.00 as 'chq bounce fees' & Rs. 51.50 as STax.
    I oppose the Kotak Customer Care Exe Ms. Minakshi on this issue (Service Request No:[protected] dt:[protected], time: 5.30 pm) that the case was totally unethical as there was no such intention to make the payt dishonour as the payt made in cash immediately I had been reported and that is also within due date.
    After that I have investigate the case through my bank Axis Bank and enquired about the aforesaid cheque and came to know that the cheque was not yet presented to them and they have neither debited any Cheque Bounce Charge to my account nor presented any Chq Return Memo to me.
    Kotak has forwarded a memo which is seem to be a non-authentic one as the Bank Logo and the Axis Banks name is looking like Gumming and pasted on a readymade paper.

    I can show my bank statement proving that there was no such cheque bounce event occured.

    Now Kotak is continuously charging me the INTEREST and the figures became Rs643.71 even a successfull payt of their dues of Rs. 431.

    Would like to request you to pls study my CIBIL Records and kindly provide right judgement.

    Axis Bank — Charged Unwantedly for Cheque return fee

    hi,

    I am using the AXIS Bank Credit card. the card no is [protected]. In June, I dropped 29000 of Balance transfer cheque in AXIS bank. i dropped the cheque on 6th June. on 10the june, I received message that, your cheque was bounced. and again on the same cheque, they credited on 17 th june.
    regarding this, they charged 330rs. on my account. i asked customer care, some people told that your cheque is bounced and another people told that you dropped Post-dated cheque.

    Customer care people does not respond properly.

    I Regarding cheque bounce charges on ( Loan no. - CF[protected]

    have visited your Branch ( Ambadeep Building, CP, New Delhi), I have met with one your agent regarding 11 cheque bounce charges (June & July month ) during Pandemic time when everything was closed because of lockdown ordered by govt of India when RBI has given then Moratorium scheme to customer for Mar'20 to May'20and June'20 to August'20 . And I have applied for that as well for individually every months and even Bank didn't not given alrert message.

    yesterday Your agent told me that you have got Moratorium just for two months only (May'20 and August'20). And other was not accepted by bank as per RBI guidelinesas you already took in month may'20 so Kotak Mahindra didn't approved your June & July month Moratorium As per guidelines.

    So as per guidelines it was for Mar'20 to may'20 . So if you have given the Moratorium May'20 then according to guidelines you had to given for May'20 to June'20 as well as per RBI guidelinesas, how can you say we were following RBI guidelinesas

    After that RBI has given the Moratorium again June'20 to August'20 and you have just accepted August'20 how it's possible I have mailed you for Moratorium in month of June'20, july'20, and August'20.

    So can you tell What happened with June & July'20 months moratorium mailed which I have sent you. Even I have record as well.

    Govt. Of India has given the Moratorium scheme because of lockdown and pandemic situation because everything was closed so why didn't accept that moratorium before August'20 i have applied for June'20 and July''20 so why Bank didn't accept that why August even bank didn't follow RBI guidelinesas

    "Kotak Mahindra Bank did fraud with me during lockdown period when everything was closed Kotak didn't accept my moratorium mail., Kotak Mahindra convert Pandemic situation into opportunities to earning money through cheque bounce charges and even Rescheduled the EMi". I'll not refer anyone to take loan from this bank if bank will not remove fake cheque bounce charges.

      "I had taken 2 BT one is on Aug 25 and other is in OCT 21 and for the repay I was paying according to the balance transfer I had taken.I had completed the 1 BT in less than 3 months but they are saying that your 1st balance transfer has not yet closed,where they had adjusted the exceeded amount in the second BT. and they are charging the Interest fee on me.If I ask any queries to the customer care people they simple say the software developed is like that we are help less. What should I do Now".

            I am forwarding you my complaint having frustrated dealing with your Client service Desk and their single line response. I have been badly cheated by youR staff and your Company. thru' Client Service Desk has just made attempts to pacify the matter. I even had to deposit 2nd premiums too to save my already invested money. The total deposit are not to the tune of 7.60 lacs. If you look at the total fund value you shall find that my money is at almost 50% of what invested by me. Such policies should not exist at all in the market, where the marketing personal may cheat the client.

            However, I had been althrough out requesting to refund by deposit with interest and cancel the policies which have been issued to me with melicious intentions by your field staff to their own gain and put me at loss.

            I very muCh regret that although I am complaining of it for last one year but no sincere action have been taken by the company. I am constrained to write that if no proper action is taken within 48 hrs as sufficient time already elapsed, I shall take unpleasent steps against the company and report it to Media, Human Right Activits, Consumer Commissions and Ministry of Finance Govt. of India.             I had purchased policy of Kotak Life Insurance from their Manager(Amit Parikh) at the time of purchasing the policy(Policy no.01425842, sanjay khunti) I was agree to their representative/manager(Amit Parikh) for the terms of 3 year, but after 3 years I got to know from Kotak customer service that I must pay for 20 years, this is fraud to me as I never had told him about 20 years but I had asked him for 3 years term and he him self changed to 20 year.

            Above is one fraud by Kotak person and then after by the same person working under him, did fraud to me: for third year installment collection Amit Parikh(Kotak employee) sent another Kotak person(Hiren Agnihoti) to my office and at that time he collected third year installment cheque from my and at the same time he ask me to sing on one paper, I asked him what was that paper for? and he replied that it is important for me to sign on that paper in order to get all the policy benefits, I signed on that paper and fourth year I shocked when amount of 20, 000. Rs. was taken away from my bank account by Kotak.

            When I complained about the same to Kotak customer service they updated me that since I had signed on Bank ECS, but I really had no idea about ECS and that Kotak person really did not explain me about ECS form, in fact he wanted to earn commission by doing such things.

            I complained and requested to Kotak customer service as well I met to their Ahmedabad office several times to solve this issue created by their employees but their are not listening to me and it clearly seems to me that they want to take away money from me for 20 years and if I am not ready to do so then there is much lose to me of money, they/kotak understand it clearly and that's why they do not solve the issue created by their persons, kotak clearly refused me to fix on this issue they protect their fraud people and damage to people like us.

            I got to know everything about this fraud by Kotak people, when without my knowledge fourth installment taken away by Kotak, complained a lot by mail, by call and explained them everything even I visited their Ahmedabad office and explained to Ahmedabad Head and they replied me that they understand that it is fraud but they have no power given by their top authority, else Kotak people know this is fraud.

            I really need your help as last option I have no other way than to you, if you could not solve/help me in this and protect then companies like Kotak will keep doing fraud with public like us.

            Please be our shield, protect us from fraud companies/people like Kotak.

              personal loan

              Dear Concern,

              please note my father is having a personal loan with Kotak mohindra prime ltd. we are living in jalandhar punjab. our loan amount included interest may be near about 3lac which we have to pay in 36 instalments - out of which we had already paid 28 instalments. now we have 3 instalments bounce but we want to settle our account in three Shots settlements. but banks recovery agents said there is no provision of settlement. they pressurize us to pay bounce instalments. if we said to them that ok we will pay one bounce instalment then they said it is not possible. you have to pay full 3 bounce instalments along with bouncing charges. but we want settlement instead of paying each month bouncing instalment.

              please take the matter seriously and e-mail us. please go for the settlement with us and be noted that our business is not in a position to pay your bouncing charges or interest.

              our instalment amount is Rs. 5510.00 per month.

                i have opened a account in kotak bank in c.p. branch that time 2 bank officials promised me about good services such as there is no penalty of check bounce,no charge for outstation cheques,and we will pay FDR interest in ur kotak PRO ACCOUNT but still now i have not received any interest also i m facing too much bouncing charges in my account when i told about manager he refuses to revert it he says there is nothing in my hand and i ask him about sunit and anuj mehrotra he told they r not in bank they resigned from bank.

                  I had invested 5000/- in Kotak Global emerging market fund on the name of my doughter Janhvi, that time my daughter was 2 years old. On 31st Dec-09 we had applied for redemption. After sixteen days we have received a message from Kotak Mutual fund that your redemption in Follio 947542 has been received and cheque will be dispatched to your address.
                  When we have called to Kotak AMC office they told me that your cheque has been dispatched to your address & it’s on the name of Janhvi.
                  It’s fault of Kotak mutual fund because my daughter is minor (4 years old) and she has no account, how they made the cheque in favour of doughter’s name where as at the time of purchased we had mentioned my account details .

                    I am owning a Kotak Demat account sincxe last six month and I was promised a Brokerage of rate of .6 Rs Deliverable and 3 paisa intraday.
                    I was also promised that my 750 Rs account opening charges will also be reverted.
                    But as usual all this turned out as fake, I constantly followed them but all in vaid.
                    Now its more that 4 months and they hav'nt reveretd back. My current brokerage is 1 Rs for Deliverable and .5 For intra day.
                    Now my brokers don't even attend my calls.
                    I faced a disgusting service from Kotak Securities.

                      I did a kotak smart advantage policy[protected] of 15000/ per year. On Dated:30-12-09,at chandigarh, I signed on application no. 887033 through Mr Akshay/Mr. Janki. I had acknowledgement also. I policy payment terms was 3 year. but when i got document frm kotak, it was having application no. 332491 & strange thing is it was mentioned that payment terms are 20 years and it was also having my signature. whereas I did not sign on this application no. 332491.

                      This is a fraud & deficiency in kotak life insurance services. Why officials did not confirm to me that they have signed on form no. 887033 as an verification before submitting to record.

                      Who is at fault. ?? Who will pay my deductions now when I will cancel this policy

                        I have a kotak credit card. I had a due payment of Rs. 280( two hundered eighty onlly).I have droped cheque for its payment @ its drop box five days before the due date.but they didnot colleced the cheque or misplaced it,so after ten days and informed the bank about the matter. And they said that they wil check the matter.



                        After few days i got the message from bank for payment of my bill. Then i issued the new cheque and made payment to bank.


                        Then also in my next statement late payment charges of Rs.500 has been charged to me.


                        now they are not ready to listen.

                            I had applied for kotak credit card. The reference number sent to SMS is[protected]. When i applied they collected my confidential documents like pay slips, pan card details etc.

                            The whole process was painful as they called me many times for verification. The address verification took lot of time.

                            After all these suddenly they say that they cant give me card. When i ask to return my documents back. They say it cant be returned.

                              I had opened saving bank no. [protected] two years back with Kotak Bank under their VCS scheme where they had given me in writing that I will not be required to maintain any minimum balance in this account for LIFE TIME. The exact language of the offer is given below:

                              "We are offering the opportunity to open a saving account with no stipulation of average quarterly balance for life time".

                              Now after two years they have suddenly charged Rs. 827/- on account of non-maintenance charges. I made a complaint through email and now they are saying that it was a limited time promotional offer which has now been withdrawn.

                              This is absolutely rubbish and a fradulent act to cheat customers of their hard earned money.

                              Through this forum I want to escalate this matter to higher officials of Kotak Bank because their call centre is extremly pathethic and not capable to provide me any remedy. Hope somebody from their side will intervene and do the right thing.

                                    hi ,

                                    Kotak bank has made my DEMAT account chargeable without informing me. While opening of that account their executive said its a free account for the salary account people.Although they didnt sent id password for the same. After an year they charged me 400 Rs. for the same demat account which i didnt used (without asking me weather i need the same). Iasked their executive so many times for the id password but it got unheard. I feel like cheated for the same. i talked to the executive and he said that free account was for 1 year and this year it will be charged to you. Please Let me know what action can i take against such activities of bank.

                                    I am a Privy League Bank customer of Kotak Mahindra bank, and also have my trading account with them.I was informed that there will be no demat charges if I open my account in their Bank Branch securities.I switched mine from their Ghatkopar branch to the Bank's securities just to save on monthly demat charges.But it was not so as they kept charging me demat charges month wise directly from the linked Privy league saving account.I objected and asked for explanation from my RM, But no suitable reply received so far.The only reply on my email that I received from their executive Shweta two days back, that too after pursuing for months, that they are actually brokerage charges.This is rediculous.I am paying brokerage charges each time that I buy or sell any shares.Then why am I being slapped with double the brokerage charges.I have this photo added as a proof to show that Privy League Customers of the Bank are not charged Demat fees.But sorry to say I am being charged the same and no proper explaination or reply being sent to me after all the emails and phone calls that I have made to them.Please see the picture and I have all the records of the correspondence email with me to substantiate my case.Thanks

As yet money has not been accounted for in/by the company.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I have taken one Policy bearing No-0014973 from Kotak . I deposite my premium in time for a period of 3years 6month. On off sudden I got a sales call from one of the sales representive of Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance that my policy will continue with better return and without deducting any charges. For this I have to continue this policy for upto a period of 6year . Since I already complited 3 and half year, so I have to pay only premium of 2 and half year. For this intilly I have to pay 1year premium at a time. I was agree and I got the policy bearing different no . I have not read the policy . But when I got a letter from Kotak Mahinder i.e I am unable to paid the premium against my policy no-0014973, I was shoked then immeditely I wrote email etc. They are now playing with me and with my money.

                                      Sir, Please look this seriously, for which I will be greateful to you and every consumer in future also get more help from you.

                                      i m a life advisor in kotak mahindra life insurance bank in bharuch branch and my sm(hetal solanki) cheated with me. she didn't give my license back and when i asking for license so she trying to make me fool she told me that my license come my home by post but after 2 months my license not come at my home. when i know about the procedure of license by another person and i call her so she misbehave with me and did't reply and talk with me in bad language and when i told to branch manager so he told me then he gives my license back from my sm's home but i disagree with my sm because she talk with me in bad language about my family so i terminate my license and i complaint to branch manager but he told me that he cannot take any action and neglate me so please help..

                                      Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Fund Life Insurance Ltd. — Payment of premium

                                      I am in receipt of your letter dated 1.12.2010 of Kotak Life Insurance conveying therein that
                                      Policy No.[protected]Cl.ID No.188536) in the name of Sakshi Sharma has
                                      lapsed due to late receipt of the premium. It is alleged that policy
                                      was in lapse mode for more than six months and can be revived only
                                      after completion of certain formalities.

                                      I may apprise you that the due date of payment of premium was
                                      February, 2010, as admitted by you also in the aforesaid letter, then
                                      how the policy can remain in lapse mode for more than six months when
                                      you are in receipt of premium on 3.5.2010. If the premium would have
                                      not been paid upto August, 2010, then your version might be right.
                                      Moreover, the instant communication shows that how much concerned you
                                      are with the people associated with you. You are in receipt of the
                                      premium in May, 2010 but now after a lapse of 8 months, you have
                                      gathered that there are some technical problems. If you are rendering
                                      such type of facilities to your customers, then it would be better for
                                      me to look forward to another company who can take care of the
                                      benefits of the customers in a better way.

                                      Kotak Mahindra Bank / Life Insurance — Never took serious of my complaint or request.

                                      I am Nima Dorji working in one of the BPO industry in Noida and I have Salary Account with Kotak Mahindra Bank. The person who is know by Ashish came to our company and he opened Life Insurance policy without my authorization and I have requested them to cancel my the Policy (Policy number: 2062224) so many times but they never took my request seriously. I have been referred back and forth, written mails many times, met with Bank Managers, submitted written application along with cancellation check several times and they promised me that they will cancel it but now it's almost been six month and still cancellation is never done. They keep putting penalties for not maintaining premium amount to be deducted from my Salary account.                                       Some agent duped me into buying this policy(KOTAK SMART ADVANTAGE PLAN) of KOTAK in 2009.

                                      I was told locking period of 3 years after that if i wish i can continue else withdraw my money easily without any charges. Also was told many benefits also that will get loyalty bonus every five years and blah blah.

                                      But when i payed my subsequent premiums. I saw my 1st premium is not in my fund value. This was never told to me that first premium is not invested.

                                      When i called up the customer care and asked about quitting the policy they said, first premium wont be payed back also further forfeit charges will be deducted from current fund value. This is shocking even after 3 years which was supposed to be locking period nothing changed and i am duped.

                                      They say you have to pay premium for 20 years without fail then only your first 50, 000 will be payed along with else.

                                      As per 25-Nov-2012 My policy status

                                      Amount Payed By me: 2 Lakhs( 50K X 4)
                                      Fund Value: 161919.59400

                                      I guess i would never match to original amount. I cant forfeit that will take half of my money.

                                      So this comes out to be total trick fraud to keep a person paying. He can never quit from this loop hole.
                                      I have seen Many people being part of this fraud by KOTAK. Many have forfeit their policy and KOTAK snatched their almost 50% of the money.

                                      MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO EVERYONE ...PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR ANY POLICY OF KOTAK...THIS KOTAK IS MOST FRADULENT OF ALL..I haven't seen any such case with any other bank.

                                      I have written my complaint to them 2-3 times on their website. Never ever got a single reply. Even after few days my request/complaint automatically gets deleted.

                                      All i want is either Kotak should contribute my first installement in my fund value and add the interest equivalent to what i should get in 4 years at NAV price of the fund i will continue with my policy for sure on these terms... Or ELSE allow me to forfeit the policy and give my 2 lakhs back . I don't want any interest just please return my original amount atleast .

                                        HI, I m from bathinda, since last one month i m receiving calls from kotak mahindra life insurance company's guys. After so many denials lastly after so much frustration i attended their insurance familirisation plan with pre condition that i will not take any policy. AT that time the staff was very sweet that Sir, pls attend the plan after that its your wish whether to join or no. we will not pressurise u. I attended the plan and as pre decided i clearly deny. The guy which was showing plan and his so called manager (Rahul kapoor) changed instantly. By god they became dogs & started barking at me. I felt so humilated at that time i can't explain. SO its my sincere advise to you all pls pls don't go to these guys. The company has taught them to listen yes only. I[censored] will say NO, they will tarnish u & [censored] u.
