I am holding ICICI bank accout on 7th of Oct 2009 (7.12pm) , tried to withdraw Rs. 3000/- from Kotak bank vashi ATM (Sector 17) But I got error message because 2nd time while PIN verification was done insted of Pin No. I entered amount and did not get my amount or any receipt. So I used IDBI bank ATM next to KOTAK Atm and I got Amount. when I checked my A/C on 14th oct Oct my account was debited twice so I immeditely made a complint in ICICI customer care (complaint No.[protected] dated 14/10/2009 2.15pm) secondly in my bank statement trasation date is showing correctly as 7/10/2009 but in description its showing diffrent date as 8/10/2009 and time 6.09pm (How this can happen). ICICI Customer care person asekd me to wait for 12 days to get reversal. But after 12 days when I called ICICI bank I got a reply which says as per KOTAK your transation is completed. I am surprise coz I havent recived amount nither any receipt. Anyone can help to take forward this matter with Kotak or ICICI Bank.

    Hi...Let me brief one issue with Great calculation by poor(Mathematically) Kotak Credit card people...
    I have an Outstanding of 24000 as per my monthly statement.I droped cheque for 2000 and the cheque is cleared from my bank account.
    Do you know what is my current outstanding it is 28000=24000+2000+2000
    Here how it is

    Dear Respected Consumer Court,
    I want to highlight how kotak Credit Card company is looting innocent n sincere clients by misleading information and unlawful and cheating calculations.

    I am having Kotak Mahindra Bank Fortune card No-[protected] from last almost an year. I am very particular & very much regular about my credit card bills payment, all these months i have always paid all the bills very well withing due date and I am having excellent payment history.

    Last month in November I was having some financial crisis so i couldn't paid full amount (Rs. 4421/-) but still I paid Minimum Amount Due (MAD) indicated in statement (Rs.3484/-) right on the due date (on 23/11/2009). Statement date for my card is 5th of every month & payment due date is 23rd of same month, so on 5/11/2009 statement was generated & 23/11/2009 was due date on which i paid Rs.3484/-

    As per the normal rule, all i knew was that they will charge me interest at the rate 3.1% per month so i innocently assumed that they may charge me 3.1% of the unpaid amount i.e. Rs.937/- and that comes to approx. Rs.30/- (3.1% of rs. 937/- as I had paid Minimum Amount Due which is approx. 78.80% of full amount) but i got almost heart attack when i received my statement next month (i.e. December 5)

    In 5/12/2009 statement Kotak bank has charged me interest amount Rs.204.12 + Service Tax Rs.21.03 Total Rs.225/- (which i was expecting to be approx. Rs.30/-). The amount unpaid was just Rs.937/- against which they charged me Interest of Rs.225.15 and that comes to 24% for one month.

    When I contacted Kotak's Customer care the officer on line told me that when we pay minimum amount due, they charges interest on whole amount from the date of the first transaction in previous month of the month when statement was generated and he accused me to not to read the booklet provided with the card.

    Dear sir do you think that this is Fair by any point of view?? These credit card companies willingly provides us 42 days of credit period but does this gives them license to rob us by slapping 24% interest on unpaid amount for one month?? in this way the annual interest will be 288% can any government allow this kind of daylight robbery???

    Most of the people don't get sufficient time to read fine prints in thick booklets given by the company (and their language is so complicated that one can't get it correctly even-though anybody may read it and they keeps so many loop holes and sub clauses that persons gets trapped in it) and they always mentions that interest will be charged at the rate of 3.1% Per Month so its very natural for anybody to assume that when the minimum amount due is paid as per Credit card statement they wont be charged for full amount, but in actual practice these cheaters do collects minimum amount and then they charge interest for the collected minimum amount due + difference amount too, this is highly unfair. I have paid 78.88% of the full amount and yet they are charging interest on the amount they already received and that to for approx. one and half month!!!

    First they are collecting minimum amount due and charging interest too on the same collected amount !!! This is ridiculous and highly unfair.

    I feel credit card companies should only charge interest on amount they have not received on due date, when they are receiving minimum amount due right on the due date they don't have any right to charge interest on that much amount, but yes they can charge interest on unpaid balance amount which is their right fair and reasonable thing to do.

    I request respected consumer court to intervene in this matter and please take this point as Public Interest Litigation (PIL) as thousands of people must be getting robbed by such cheatercredit card companies and they are making crores of rupees in this unfair way.

    Please do the needful in the matter and stop such cheater credit card companies from looting innocent peoples.

    I have faced the same issue from Kotak Bank. I have been a loyal customer of Kotak. My Salary account was also in Kotak initially. After having spent more than 7 Lakhs on their card, during the month of August, when I had a bill of 82000 out of which I paid 62000, I was charged an interest of 5600 for an amount of 20000. Being a loyal customer, I requested for a wiver which was refused.
    In April the billed me much lesser than the actual amount and charged me for the entire amount. How am I to know how much to pay when the bill is lesser than actual. I was forced to call Kotak atleast 20-30 times for clarification on the same.
    I raised a Grievance Redressal complaint on their site more than 2 months back and have received no reply from them for the same. The customer care centre informed me that they will not reduce even a rupee of interest charges and I am free to take legal action.
    Such bullying by big banks to helpless customers is not right. Kindly help me pursue legal action against Kotak. I am clearing out the credit card except for 24000 o[censored]nfair interest amount. Will pursue legal action for the same.

      Myself Rajib Sur Siliguri Business Loan as Sales executive. I have resign the job on 08/05/2009.Till date I have not received my pending Salary.I need your help. I had talk to Mr Kaushik Dutta (Known as Branch Manager) several time and he give me assurance several time that I will receive my salary within a day/week/month, and etc. Till the date its I haven't received. That means Mr. Kaushik Dutta given me some misleading information .Now what I do please help me from last 2 month im jobless. Several time I called Kaushik Dutta several times I personally visited the office but cannot find any Positive Answer. He had given me misleading information like "Please wait I will try my level best". Last time he said that he need more time to process near about 2 month now please say how many time to give my salary.

      Kaushik Dutta is your Branch Manager. You know betterthan me.

      Sir I am in an urge for money so please do the needful. Now I have a daughter who is 1.5 year old and has incurred heavy expense. Running in a financial crisis. So please help me out in this matter.

      Kotak Mahindra Bank — misleading information

      I have asked for two year loan they promised 7 assured me verbally two year loan is sanction But when papers came it is three years customer care numbers are not working email Id is not working no names no person is giving any help.
      They are all bloodyfools who are running the bank going the way which Lehman Brothers have passed.

        I have issued a cheque # 93300 (SBI, HPS Branch) for Rs 297.90 as payment towards my credit card dt 06/10/2009 & dropped it in Kotak ATM located at Begumpet, Hyderabad on 06/10/2009. However, I received a call from Kotak Cards call centre that the payment is outstanding. The debit of the referred cheque from my SBI account updated. I request you to kindly sort out the issue at the earliest

        Hi

        This is a very simple issue for resolution. You need to proceed as follows.

        (1) Call the Kotak Contact Centre and fax them a copy of your Bank Statement which clear reflects the Charge Debit and Chequ Number. Also check that you had written the Card Number correctly

        (2) They will have to reverse out all charges (Late payment as well as Interest)

        (3) If they refuse write to Nodal Officer and then to Banking Ombudsman and keep all the documentation.

        If what you are saying is correct, you have a very strong case and you cannot lose.

          More than 3 months no duplicate key issued.
          Had a car loan from Kotak mahindra group (Kochi) in November 2008; closed the loan amount in June 2009. They didn't return the Duplicate key till date. Very busy and inaccessible car loan enquiry counters (by phone) Palarivattom kochi. No timely follow up on the issue, calls back once in a while after multiple enquiry attempts with some monotonous foolish excuses. It seems they had lost the key. No genuine enquiry and reply till date. Need more responsible staff and genuine answers and follow up

            1) The complainant, Amarjit Batta,CRNO 18320670, had opened 3In1 Account ie Bank Account, Demat and Trading.
            2) This Account has been opened by Mr. Rakesh and Sunil Rana and told complainant that this Bank Account is Zero Bank Account for life time.
            3) However, the complainant never intimated by the Bank in written, to maintain minimum balance of Rs. 10,000.
            4) The complainant, when checked the Account Rs. 827 was deducted as Non Maintenance Charges.
            5) The Complainant requested no of times to revert this amount and intimate in written this Zero Balance Account is now Simple Saving Account.
            6) Despite this, in its reply, the bank Customer Correspondence Team stated that they have forwarded the contents of your email to your home branch and have arranged for an officer to contact you with regards to the same.
            7) The complainant has not yet received any call or reply from Home Branch.
            8) The complainant talked to the customer’s consent on a recorded Phone line and requested again.
            9) Though the complainant was initially reluctant to open bank account, but after saying this is Zero Balance Account for life time, the complainant consented to open.
            10) This is cheating, harassment, and inconvenience to the complainant.

            hi, i am Bhupinder Singh, as today i went to cash from one of the ICICI ATM, Rs 500.00, But the link failed and the amount was deducted, and the amount was not recieved, As my previous balance was Rs 1020.00, again i tried from the same ATM, i recieved the amount Rs 500.00, But the balance is Rs 20.00,
            i would be thankful to you, if you proceed my camplaint and fullfil why it happened so.

              As I had not satisfied from the policy, I have surrendered policy 01641051 on 11/08/09 and was told by your concerned staff that I shall received refund within 7 to 10days and moreover I have visited many times at your Mall Road, Ludhiana branch but no response

                  Without my notice a Sum of Rs.825 has been debited in my account, since there was total transaction of Rs.23200.00 has been done for the period 1-jul-09 to 30-Sep-09, But surprisingly it was debited. Today i have emailed them to reverse. Cheating of People like these charges, the private banks are the No - 1 in India.... Making the citizen life miserable..

                  I was working in kotak mahindra bank at defence colony new delhi 110024. This is my salary account no. [protected] and CRN 17780365. I left kotak mahindra bank on 3th sep 2009. In the month of Oct 2009 went to paschim vihar branch then i submit my closer letter. They say that this is salary account firstly you connect with HR department. I connect with HR department in the month of 10th nov 2009. The HR told me that firstly full final credit in your account and after that you closed that account on urgent basics. My full and final credit in my account on 15th dec 2009. No branch call me to AQB balance. i submit a request to customer care to closed that account. They told that i forwarded this request to bases branch then they connect you.Till date i am not receiving any call from branch side. I checked my account on 2nd jan 2010 there was some charges like AQB balance. I also filled the feedback and submit a request from my net banking service on 12th march and 14th march 2010. I am not paying any charges to branch. Please close this account on urgent basis.

                    To whom it may cocern:
                    My name is Ravi Singh, working with Pharma MNC Company. I have salary account with kotak Mahindra bank as well as I am holding life insurance policy and demat account of the same bank.

                    I was getting repeated irritating call form bank applying for credit card, finally I have applied for credit card with all required documents applicable including my salary slips.
                    Before applying for the card I have double checked with the Kotak executive whether bank will offer credit card to me with my current salary package or not.

                    Kotak executive has assured me that within 21 day I will be getting my credit card at my preferred corresponding address with any hassles.

                    Now its more than 21 days and I have check the status on kotakcard.com and found that my card is still under process, further I have contacted consumer care executive of kotak and learnt that my credit card application #[protected] has been disregarding by bank.
                    I tried to found out the reason for this; no response has been given to me saying that it is a bank internal policy not to disclose reason to applicants.

                    My only concern is that if bank is not confident providing credit card to applicant after reviewing all documents, should not give repeated irritating call to customers. As the hampering work of other peoples

                    I request you to kindly look into this matter and take corrective action against KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK.

                      I haven't seen such a shameless organization like Kotak Mahindra. Is there any law by which we can drag these company to court? These people do cold calling on land line number (if it's a mobile number, one can understand), where the concerned person might not be available and his family members are unnecessarily disturbed. In spite of telling them that we are not interested in any offers or investment schemes and we do not want further calls from you people, they still call on the land line number. On their site there's a email id - service.[protected]@kotak.com, provided in case you receive the phone calls even after filling the "Do not Call Form". After filling the Do not call form these guys have not stopped calling on land line number. I had filled the form on 22nd September 2009, after being irritated by their calls on land line and also sent them a mail regarding "Behavior of Telemarketing from Kotak Mahindra" - But still 2 days later on 24th September i again received a call on Land Line number. If any one of you know the proper legal procedure, please let me know so that we can stop the harassment from Kotak Mahindra Telemarketing to save other people and family members.

                      Kotak Mahindra — Illegal Construction

                      One of neighbour had constructed a complete floor in Krishna Nagar area his Name is M.K. Bhansali a resident of E-7/11 Krishna Nagar Delhi 110051. He not only consturcted the complete floor but to hide his construction he make the walls painted side by side, if you come and see you will only find a newly painted house of Mr Bhansali. This person is so much non sense after his construction all his neighbours are getting problems like, leekage in walls etc. You can come to this address and ask his neighbours about the construction all are so much frustated and let you know the complete story of them. They had even 3 feet outside his boundry construction also and which is very much illegal. Pls help us in rsolving this problem we afraid that any time that floor will come to our roofs. Come and have a look on that contruction and talk to neighbours this is not a 2 months old construction.

                      Pls don't disclose my name and help us in getting the justice.
                      Pls take the immediate and neccessary action on this construction.

                      i received a sms on 20th oct 2008. from kotak bank that my card is dispatch on 17th Oct 2008.but till now i have not received a card. i took contact no from kotak bank &call more than 50 times but no response is from u r side (not receiving of phone /switched off / network busy) one times they have received phone on 21st oct 2008 & said u will be receiving card by tommorow but not received. i have EXPRESSIT phone no. 32655761/32521294 this phones are only for ringing no one for receiving the phone

                      sir iam kotak mahindera bank employee from last 2 years in hyedrabad in collection department.of persional loan wich is known as stpl.collection
                      without any information they are termenetted me on 5 dec 2008.
                      every month my performence is good.
                      when i asked about reason they are saying we got mail from mumbai to termenated you.
                      this month i cant join any where. now my position is very bad.now iam helpless
                      i hope some higher official look in to matter and do the needful

                      I got a sms saying "we tried to deliver ur consignment today...please contact immediately ExpressIT on 32521294/32655761 ... But i wasn't expecting any such courier. when tried to call back this number no body picked up
                      This company keeps calling my father (who is a senior citizen) over and over again for investments, inspite of telling them that he has nothing to invest and they should remove his name for their calling list. They have not stopped calling and this has become a total harrassment. Today a lady named Shobha called, and when I told her to stop calling this number or else I will complain ... she had the nerve to laugh and said "Who are you going to complain to"? This is the kind of people this company hires to do their calling. She was really very rude, so obviously I told her off. I want this stopped and a complaint registered against Shobha and the company. I would appreciate it if someone responds to my email. Thank you.
                      The Kotak Mahindra representatives randomly pick up any number from their hacked phone directory and keep disturbing people by calling them and try to sell their stupid policies. Daily I receive at least two call from them and the first question asked is “Is this a local number? I would like to give you some information about an offer” Here are few Kotak Mahindra blacklisted numbers from where the calls originates. Please do not accept any calls from these Kotak Mahindra blacklisted numbers unless you want to listen their jargon and buy something stupid for which you will be regretting your whole life.

                      They are right, i too have been getting calls from[protected] sometimes at 0100 am, yesterday at 02:30 am. I dont know what are they upto. the concerned should really take some actions for these buggers or if this number belongs to Kotak Mahindra, the owner should be put behind bars.                       I have been receiving innumerable calls from Kotak Mahindra for the last several months. Inspite of telling the agents that I am not interested in any of their offers, they continue to call me. Today, I asked to speak to the supervisor because I had enough. He kept fighting with me on the phone and arguing and refusing to hear me out, saying they are helpless and unless I register in DNC they will keep calling me! This was very frustrating and today itself I registered my number on National DNC. However, as I see from comments here, people are receiving calls even after registration on DNC. Any solution to this? Can't customers have a choice in saying 'no' to telemarketing calls??

                      Kotak Mahindra — Did not receive Credit card bill

                      Hi,
                      I did not receive credit card bill for the June billing cycle. However, i did pay the bill on time. How can the credit card department be so irresponsible, when they know that the penalty charges/fine is too high if a user defaults on the bill after the due date. Will Kotak take responsibilities if a cutomer forgets to pay the bill if he doesnt receive any ???

                          I have closed down my personal loan in July 2009 and the collection department promised that I will receive my PDC's and the NOC of loan closure within 15 working days before I handed over the DD to the bank. But till now I have not received the same. I have also complained to the customer care many times but they are telling to contact the collection department. I have tried calling lots of time to the person who was following my loan closure procedure but no one seems to be responding. This is the way the bank is responding me. Please help in getting my PDC's and NOC letter for my personal loan.I need the doccuments on an urgent basis since i have to produce to other bank where i have applied for home loan.

                            There were some FRAUDULENT ONLINE TRANSACTIONS on my Kotak Mahindra Bank credit card on November 10, 2008. 6 fraudulent online transactions were conducted on my Kotak Bank credit card number 4166-****-****-5717. The details of the fraudulent transactions are given below:

                            I got a call from Kotak's center executive for confirmation on a transaction on the same day, ie., November 10, 2008 to confirm the first of the 6 transactions (VT083160049000150000101 for Rs.2,000). On the same day, I had sent an email (dated November 10, 2008) to a member of the Credit Cards Team (sameer.[protected]@kotak.com) stating that the transactions were not conducted by me and requesting them to block my card.
                            On checking the account the next day (on November 10, 2008), I noticed negative balance (for both credit limit as well as cash limit) in the online statements. I state that this could not have happened unless Kotak Bank's system allowed the fraudster to conduct transaction well over my credit limit. I also state that the fraudulent transactions did not appear on your system on November 10, 2008).
                            Subsequently on November 11, 2008, I noticed two entries in my online statement pertaining to the over limit charges as listed below:

                            11/11/2008 19999999981111999960950 SERVICE TAX INR 61.80 (Dr)

                            Later, Mr. Sameer Adarkar, the member of the credit card team to whom the email dated November 10, 2008 was addressed, had assured me that as these were online transactions and were reported on the same day, the Bank will successfully raise the charge back. NOBODY advised me to file any complaint with RBI or with police on the said matter.
                            On the same day i.e., November 11, 2008, your Bank has reversed 2 of the 6 fraudulent transactions as listed below:

                            11/11/2008 VT083180046000090000293 VISABILLPAY-REL ENERGY MUM IN INR 2000.00 (Cr)

                            Post a continuous follow up on emails and phone, I was instructed by VP-Marketing, Mr. Manish Agarwal, through his email dated December 1, 2008, to re-raise the complaint through the call center. Until then, I state that I was not told by any official of your bank that there would be any need to report the complaint to the call centre. I also fail to understand the need to re-raise the complaint again after 20 days of it first being reported to the Bank.

                            Nevertheless, as advised by Mr. Manish Agarwal, I re-raised the complaint at the Kotak Mahindra Bank Call Center and was given the SR No.[protected] on December 1, 2008. Subsequently a letter was also submitted by me to the Bank.

                            On calling the call center several times post re-raising the complaint I was given the response that investigation is on and it will take 45 days for the matter to resolve. Incidentally, according to the Bank, the 45 days time limit was to start from December 22, 2008. Again I fail to understand this as the complaint, according to my mail to Mr. Sameer Adarkar, was lodged on November 10, 2008 and subsequently re-raised on December 1, 2008 as advised by Mr. Manish Agarwal.
                            I state that the Bank's Recovery Agents have been continuously harassing me and mentally traumatizing me for the recovery of the disputed amount.
                            Further I state that the Bank has WRONGFULLY frozen my savings bank account ([protected]), and recovered a sum of over Rs. 14,000. This is in complete disregard to the terms and conditions of opening the savings bank account as well as the terms and conditions of the credit card. I confirm that I have not given any kind of express or implied instruction for recovery of my credit card dues from the savings account either to the credit cards team or to the banking team during the opening of the savings account or during applying for the credit card or at any other time.
                            I state that I have now stopped using your bank’s credit card pending successful resolution of the dispute.
                            Further I state that as the first two fraudulent transactions was done to pay Reliance Energy bills; the identity of the fraudster is easy for the Bank to track. I fail to understand why the fraudster was not apprehended by the Bank for conducting a fraudulent transaction on a card issued by the Bank. Instead the Bank has kept harassing me for the transactions not performed by me. It can also be inferred from the pattern that the same person would have used the card to book the tickets on Ezeego. As I understand any tickets booked on a Card Not Present environment through online means needs the card to be produced at the booking counter. I understand that this basic rule was flouted by the Bank’s merchant which allowed a person with a name different from the name printed on the credit card to travel.

                            I have worst experience of Kotak Credit Card. The Kotak Credit Card Recovery team without my permission debited entire 30K from saving account and made my card for settlement. My Card number 4166-****-****-4794.

                            After recording all the communication with Kotak CSR and head Escalation team, they states it's their banking policy to debit the saving if Customer don't respond to their call and email for 2-3 times. WTF moreover after settling the rest amount., they keep on sending emails and call for recovering more money.

                            On March 5th 2018, there was 9unauthorized transactions were done from Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. Credit card. All the 9 transactions were done on ITUNES.COM. These details are as per the mails which i've received for the transactions. Eight transactions are of Rs 7900each and One transactions of 2099.
                            I've also blocked my credit card whose number is 4166-xxxx-xxxx-1738.
                            As per the telephonic conversation, i've filled the transaction dispute form and that has been attached with this email.

                            I would request you to please look into the matter and reverse all the unauthorized transactions to my credit card.

                              I had ordered a adorn card in the month of November 08, Before I recieve the card I got the statement on 22nd Dec08. Immidiately I spoke to the Customer Care Executive from my mobile and complained that how can you charge me before providing me the product I have orderd. Finally He convinced me to pay the adorn card charges and wait for the adorn card. I paid the charges and stil now even after complainig 6 to 7 times to the customer care the problem is not resolved and there are call from the collections with abusive langauges and keeps on threating me for CIBIL.

                              AND NOW THEY HAVE RAISED THE AMOUNT TO RS:2825.84. AND DIRECTLY DEDUCTED IT FROM MY KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK ACCOUNT NO:-[protected] WITHOUT ANY PRIOR VERBAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION. 2 TIMES THE CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE HAS DISCONNECTED MY PHONE. I HAVE PERSONALLY VISITED MITHAKALI BRANCH, THEY SENT ME TO KOTAK MAHINDRA SALES AGENCY WHERE MR. RAHUL SPOKE TO ME AND TOLD ME TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM IN AROUND FEB-MARCH 09.

                              THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE HAS CONFIRED THAT THE COURIER SENT TO ME HAS RETURNED BACK TO THE BANK, THEY HAVE ACCLERATED MY PROBLEM TO THE COLLECTION DEPARTMENT AND THE CHARGES WILL BE WAIVED OFF. EACH AND EVERYTHING WILL BEAVAILABLE IN THE RECORDINGS OF THEIR SYSTEM.

                                I had taken one credit card from Kotak Mahindra bank. One time there was outstanding amount of
                                INR 13000/- approximately for balance transfer. I had paid that amount. Before paid once I had submitted INR 500/- cheque for minimum payment in a month. Any how that time the cheque was bounced and they send me the bill with something 375/- RS fine. I paid all outstanding amount with the fine amount and requested to customer care for reverse the amount. Then I had told them please cancel my card and I am disposing the card. After that I have disposed the card and dropped it at Kotak ATM.

                                Presently I am out of station.From bank they are calling my wife and family member and threatening with slang language.
                                My family member are feeling very unsecured and even myself also.
                                We are afraid about this matter due to threatening from unsocial criminal whose are involved from this bank.

                                Please advise/look into this matter.

                                  Hello Friends,

                                  I had a Kotak Credit Card last year and due to its negligent credit card customer care service I choose to close it with a full and final payment through "Sree Consultancies" their authorized collection agents. I did make the payment in the month of Feb 2009 and untill now my card has not been closed and after all this I still end up getting calls for repayment, monthly statements and alerts. I have taken up with the Kotak Credit Cards department tons of time and everything just ends up becoming a big drama.

                                  I would like if anyone could help me resolve this issue. I am at the heights of my emotional tension regarding this whole issue.

                                    IN SPT/OCT.2006, I RECD. REPEATED PHONE CALLS FROM SOME MR. SHARMA OF KOTAK LIFE FROM DELHI, ASKING FOR LIFE INSURANCE.
                                    AS I WAS A RETIRED PERSON, I DECLINED FOR ANY LIFE INSURANCE AND TOLD THAT I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN ONE TIME INVESTMENT O[censored]PTO ONE LAC OF RUPEES WHICH SHOULD GIVE ME REGULAR RETURNS.
                                    THEN NEXT DAY HE PHONED ME THAT HE HAS COME OUT WITH A PROPER SCHEME FOR ME WHERE I HAVE TO INVEST Rs. 1, 00, 000/- ONE TIME ONLY AND HAVE TO STAY INVESTED FOR THREE YEARS AND I WOULD GET MINIMUM OF15% TAX-FREE RETURN, BUT THE ACCUMULATED WOULD BE RECD. ONLY AFTER THREE YEARS. FURTHER THERE WILL BE ADDED ADVANTAGE OF INSURANCE ALSO.
                                    I AGRRED TO THIS SCHEME AND HE SENT HIS REPRESENTATIVE AND GOT MY DETAILS AND SIGNATURE ON THE FORM AND COLLECTED AN A/C PAYEE CHEQUE OF Rs.1, 00, 000/- IN FAVOUR OF KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE.
                                    AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS I RECD. POLICY DOCUMENTS WITH A RECEIPT OF Rs34, 940/- WITHOUT ANY MENTION OF MY BALANCE Rs.65, 060/-. THEN I SENT EMAIL TO THEIR CUSTOMERCARE ASKING ABOUT THE DISCREPENCY. THE REPLY WAS THE BALANCE AMOUNT WAS CREDITED AS "TOP-UP" FUND.
                                    I FURTHER ENQURED WHAT IS THE TOP-UP FUND AND WHAT RETURN YOU WOULD GIVE ON IT?
                                    THE REPLY WAS ON THAT ALSO THE SAME RETURN WOULD BE GIVEN AS PROMISED.
                                    SO I GOT SATISFIED AND LEFT THE MATTER THERE.
                                    NOW AFTER TWO YEARS, THEY ARE REPEATEDLY PHONING ME FROM DELHI, NOIDA, MUMBAI ETC. THAT THERE IS DEFFICIENCY OF SOME 2500/- OF RUPEES AND AS I HAVE NOT PAID IT, THE POLICY HAS LAPSED!
                                    I HAVE SENT OVER 10 EMAILS IN LAST 8 MONTHS ASKING THE EXPLANATION BUT ALL HAVE FALLEN ON DEAF EARS. NOBODY HAVE CARED TO REPLY A SINGLE EMAIL PROPERLY.
                                    MY SIMPLE QUESTIONS ARE AS BELOW.
                                    1. I HAD MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN A ONE TIME INVESTMENT OF RUPEES ONE LAC ONLY AND I HAD ALREADY DONE WAY BACK IN 2006.
                                    2. WHY THEY HAVE NOT CALCULATED ANY RETURN ON THE BALANCE AMOUNT CREDITED WITH THEM AS PROMISED BY THEM?
                                    3 IN ONE OF THE EMAIL, I CALCULATED THE RETURN ON MY BALANCE CREDIT AMOUNT WITH THEM AND SHOWN THAT THERE SHOULD BE STILL CREDIT BALANCE WITH THEM EVEN AFTER ADJUSTING THE THIRD PREMIUM. HENCE THE QUESTION OF LAPSING THE POLICY SHOULD NOT ARISE.

                                    UNFORTUNATELY EXCEPT FOR THE SELF-GENERATED ACNOWLEDGEMENT FROM THEIR CUSTOMERCARE THAT THE REPLY WOULD BE MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS, NO REPLY HAS BEEN RECEIVED FOR MY 10 REMINDERS !!

                                    I MAY ADD HERE THAT I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING REMINDERS ON PHONES FROM LOWER RANK PEOPLE WHO SEEM TO BE AFRAID OF GIVING THE PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESSES OF THE HEADS OF THE BRANCES. ONCE SOME SR. PERSON TALKED TO ME ABOUT PAYMENT BUT WHEN I EXPLAINED MY CASE HE PUT DOWN THE PHONE AND NEVER AGAIN TALKED TO ME.
                                    ONE OF THE JUNIOR MEMBER WHILE REMINDING ME AGAIN FOR PAYMENT, HE TOLD THAT SOME SORT OF CHEATING HAS BEEN DONE WITH YOU WHILE BOOKING THE POLICY AND THE SR. PERSON HAVING REALISED THAT, DOES NOT TALK TO ME DIRECTLY.

                                      I have taken a loan from Kotak and they are still charging me interest @12.5% in the current market scenario when other banks have infact reduced their Interest rates. The customer care guys and the home loan dept. personnel are highly unprofessional, rude and waiting ot cheat the customer.

                                      Infact for those who do not know, in case one does want to foreclose the loan, they charge 2% on the total amount outstanding + prepayments made within one year from the year of foreclosure. These guys even ended up deposting two EMI cheques prior to the due date at the same time even though one EMI was not due and resulting in one cheque bouncing, when asked they replied that because of the cheque dates being current they deposited the cheques.

                                      The customer care guys were verbally informed about the EMI cheques being for respective months, even then these guys depsoited my cheques. The best thing was yet to come, the next day i got a call tellin me that my EMI Cheques have not been received for the current month (Already Cleared). Inspite of constant follow up and mails they do not even bother to respond or call back... They are the worst bank to deal with... in fact a government bank is far far far better, please do not go to kotak bank for loans...

                                      Their slogan "Let's make money simple" shown on TV is wrong, they should change it to "Let's make simple money"
