My Credit Card appliation is being rejected and I am not sure about the reason.
I want to know the exact reason why my credit card is being rejected.
Bank is reluctant to give me the detail when I contact them.

I am a permenant employee working in a multi-national company.One day I got a call from Kotak Mahindra, they asked whether I need credit card. As I was planning to apply for one, I said yes.Following that Kotak Mahindra, official guaranteed I will be receiving my credit card, within 20 days. Immediately after that, they were eager to collect all proofs, by evening Kotak Mahindra executive, came in office and collected all proofs, such as driving licence copy, salary slip etc. After that they have visited my residence and called in office telephone, and after all the hangama, they kept mum. After 1 and a half month, I have gone to kotak mahindra online, and checked my status. I am surprised to see it is rejected, an saying there is no reason why they have rejected my application. Then I called up their help line number, they are very unpolite and says your application got rejected, and you try applying after 6 months. In today's market I dont think I have to beg any bank to give me a credit card. I wish this be my first and last experience with Kotak Mahindra .
I received an sms stating that my application for the credir card with kotak mahindra will be processed within 21days. I checked the same day and it said that it was rejected. I called up the number given and they said that they did not know the reason for rejection. I asked them the criteria for selection and they said apply after 6 months. I am a working professional who earns salary above 25000 a month. I submitted the application online. I still don't understand why my application was rejected. This company designed a card to suit the needs of people then should make sure it provides the products to the customers as well. Ver dissatisfied with experience.
i need kotak mahindra bank no when i calling this no 66006022 it not working so i need a correct no if you can pls inform me
I also had the same experience, I also have a savings account with Kotak for 5 years now and have given an auto debit for credit card payment. Still it was rejected.

When asked as to why it was rejected no proper response.

In Kotak once you open the account, there is no treatment for the customers at all.

Be happy that they have rejected your application. It is really such a worst bank i have ever seen. They have rejected two times my applications and not knowing the exact reason to the cutomer. As per RBI guidelines the bank miust disclose the actual reason to the customer.

If they cant keep up the RBI guidelines, how will thy keep up their own policies. My loans were also over charged. I had to close up my complete relationship with this bank.

Other banks are much more effective than them.

    Its over a year now and i have still not received the agreement copy & the sanction letter till now.
    When ever you call the same wording you will hear "its will reach you in 15 days" or "the courier services returned as no one was available at home". When you ask for the Courier Service Name & Docket # their is no response.
    Kinly Advice me as what can be done or Shall i stop the ECS debit for them.

    i have still not received the credit card decline letter

    Kotak Mahindra Bank — letter not Received

    I Have applied for kotak mahindra credit card in november 2008 Unfortunately the card declined and i have cordi anted in customer care, they said to me that we have allready sent the letter 7 days back.
    but i have still not received the same.

    first bank angents say that loan will be given on rate of interest 18% and they never send the copy of details of repayment calculater now i went for close the loan they say that u give request for one month other bank s never give so much time for close loan mean they do timepass and earn interest of next month why shoul i pay that
    but main thing i demand for that the details of repayment they tell me that u r still not get that
    how it is possible
    it is my mistake that i belive on agent
    and real fact that rate of interest is very shocking it is 32%
    and still they not send the closing letter is it right to not clearify coustomer
    it so shocking

      sir, i had made a systematic investment plan in Kotak Mahindra Mutual Funds. The amount of Rs. 3000/- used to get debited every month directly from my ICICI bank account. Its been 6 months since the time i invested, but till now i've not received the investment documents. Also, after 3 months from start date, they stopped debiting the amont from my bank. Numerous calls to the customer care centers of both ICICI & Kotak mahindra were futile. That's why i want to close the Mutual fund and withdraw whatever amount have been saved till date. For this i need the documents, which Kotak hasn't given till date. please help.

      This is not a comment on above matter, but a quarry. I am writing it here because I didnt find any terminal to solve my quarry with you, any where !!

      I am Dr. Atul Tiwari form Jhalawar (Rajasthan- Near Kota)
      I just received a call from Kotak Mahindra regarding a scheme.He said that I have qualified for this scheme through some internal selection process of company.

      Since scheme did sound too good to be true, I had a suspicion.
      Details are as followed
      Caller said
      I have to deposit Rs 30000/ each year fr 3 years.
      This investment is tax free (80C & 10-10-D)
      If I take it today, they will add 110% (Rs 33000/ to it)

      Then, after 38 months I will get
      135000+ SOME 40000/ (For added bonus of Rs 33000/)
      (That is Just 5000/ less in double of basic investment of 90000/ in 3 years IE 175000 !!)
      Plus
      They will give me
      Insurance for 200000/ Death benefit
      Insurance of 200000/ Accidental death benefit
      Medical hospitalization cash benefit 200000/ (Any of above, comes first)
      All earning will be tax free.
      Scheme is without allocation charges.
      This all is too good to be true.
      Please send me email immediately to confirm it, if it is there, because I have to take this scheme today only to get 110% bonus addition.

        i was terminetted from service,
        iam a DRA of stpl collections hyedrabad division
        sir now iam out of kotak mahindera prime ltd now i dont have fear,
        i want to tell you some importents things about kmpl.
        mr. b. rajashekar reddy who is maneger of stpl collections hyd.
        emp id, 1327
        he was useing his powers in wronge way,
        like every month he was claiming the salarys by adding incentives to exe and same he take back when the salarys comes . the same will contneing from last six months and 4to 5 exe every months.
        approx it will be 25000. per month.
        and also he was terminetting those who will not accepts to his conditions.and also misguaiding the costomers
        please look into matter and do the justify to me
        iam work for kotak and i will never expects this from rajashekar reddy

          Dear Sir

          I have availed Home loan from Kotak Mahindra Bank in Sep, 2007. Initially they charged 11.75% as interest rate and then within two months it was raised to 12.75% from October 2008 on wards it was raised to 13.75%. Looking the jet raise in the Rate of interest, i have decided to shift the home loan to State Bank of India. I have approached them and got green signal for take over. But the Kotak mahindra bank has refused to show the original document for review of SBI legal advisers. Now i have left with no choice. I don't know why the bank is behaving so badly. When i have asked for the documents they replied that "there are no hard and fast rule to show the documents". Kindly suggest me what measure i have to take.

            sir,
            many of times i make complaints against kotak mahindera prime ltd. iam a dra of stpl collections hyedrabad branch from last 2 years iam working with kmpl and my performence is also good on dec2008 suddenly they are terminated me from service iam vary poor person.
            right now i dont have a job, i dont know what to do, i request higher athourities to look into matter do the needful to me...
            i want to know what is the reason behind terminating me, bcoz iam very sincior to my work
            i dont have any official contact numbers, thats why iam using this consumer complaints.

              Hi
              I have taken a home loan from Kotak Mahindra Bank 1 yr ago.
              It was 11.25% floating which they have increased to 13.5% ...
              Can u Imagine !!!
              They have increased this 2 time without inecreasing the tenure and without notifying me. (my tenure is 20 yrs)
              Is it true that tenure can't be increase beyond 20 yrs?
              now they are telling me that i have outstanding amount... which i need to pay ...
              What legal options do i have and most importantly how fast this matter can be solved if i go for legal option.
              Is there a regulatory in India (like RBI) who can control what maximum level home loan interest rate can go upto?
              And y kotak is not decreasing it to say 9.5 or 10%?

              I strongly agree with your statement. I have taken Home loan in the year Feb 2007 for which the rate of interest is 9.5% now the interest rate has been increated to 13.5%. Now RBI has reduced the repo rate even though the bank is not reducing the interest rate ( All the banks reduced the interest rate ) and even lot more worst experience with this bank.
              we have to some how get rid of the bank.
              this is a complete fraud bank.. i have taken a load in 2006 @9.25% and now it has gone to 14.25%.. its unbelivable.. i want to shift my loan soon.. if anybody has done that please guide me...
              I have taken a home loan in May 2008 at 10.25%, bank has increased the interest rate thrice to 12.75% citing the reason that RBI has reduced the repo rates. Now when RBI reduced the rates they have reduced the intrest rate only once and that too by 0.5% when all the other banks have reduced the intrest rates considerably.I am not at all happy with this bank and want to get rid of this bank.This banks should not play with the our money like this. There should be some authority which looks into this matter about the existing loan customers.
              I strongly agree. I have taken home load @ rate 9.5. Witin-in few months it has raised to 13.75. Now is 13.25 even though for all other bank it is around 11. C

              Do not take home loan from Kotak. This bank is a fraud.

                sir,
                we are a collection exe of kotak mahindera prime ltd hyedra division, stpl department,
                we are working from last 2 years. and our performence is also good. suddenly on dec 2008. my maneger has termenetted us.
                one maneger named is b. rajashekar reddy employee id no is 1327, and another is shiva shankar who is friend of rajashekar he was joined recently as a team leader,
                the both are doing froud like every month they are claming a collection exe salarys by adding a incentives to those exe who will not elegiable for incentives they are claming this 5to 6 exe every month. and when the salary comes they take it from exe.
                this will happening from last 6 months.
                approxmetly they are getting 25000. as side income every month.
                to whome we will tell this we dont no.
                we are requested to mr. uday kotak ceo. to look into matter because we already spoke to mr. saboo but he was not showing intrest in this matter.
                now we are out of kotak mahindera because of this. now we are helpless. no job no money

                  Dear sir/mem,

                  i having taken before 28 month kotak loan rs.225000...after 24 emi clear no any bounce. bank given me good offer rate and amount increase.

                  but after 5 month process...they only given 130000. and same amount loan with rate increase...

                  on aug-2008...onword my business shut down and i was big lost amount on share market. after on sep-2008 i was meet on SURAT OFFICER KOTAK BANK LTD. Mr. IRFAN AND GANDHI MANAGER. Request that after 5 to 6 month i will be found new job ... i will paid due but withing 4 months they taken against me on COURT CASE ON NEGOTIABLE INTSTURMENT ACT 138.
                  So, what can i do...

                  right now i m unemployee with i haven't that's much amount. and bank collection officer so, much harressement me. i will future also if not amount adjust. i will suside and full responsible on KOTAK BANK EMPLOYEES...

                  Personal Loan — loan cheque bounced

                  this company has taken 2700 cash from me. has issued a SBI cheque which bounced and they are claiming innocence..do not take calls and talk properly. i want my money back which they have taken without any receipt..

                      i applied for the credit card last month till know one called me and without reason they rejected .totally waste of time to apply kotak credit card, you simply wasted my time.this my mystake i applied kotak credit card.

                      without genuine reason rejected.

                            I had a carloan from them in 2003 Appl No[protected] and the last installment was cleared on 2nd Aug 2008 after that inspite of submitting the relevant documents for the release of NOC they have not yet send it to me . Everytime repeated calls to them has been a harassment for me as they transfer it from one person to another and all they say is you will get it in 7days and like that 2 months have passed . Even calling their national Customer care number same reply . I want to take stern action against them .
                            I also found out that my car which is registered as WB02 R1079 is showing some reg no- WB71 ... in their system which is a fraudulent activity of one of their staff.

                            Now I have sold the car but could not complete the transfer of ownership paper works as NOC is not available and also the buyer is not paying the money to me .

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam, I have been following with Kotak Bank for an amount which has been debited to me on my credit card against late payment charges since 2nd Aug 2008 and till now I have not got what I am seeking for, I will sir just brief the whole episode. I had applied for a credit card being an employee I got the same.
                                  My first bill which was sent to me was paid in full at one go.
                                  The second bill was not recvd and as It was a new card I paid the bill between 15th and 17th but later on when I recd the consequent bill I realized that the date was on 10th, and when I called them up they said being an employee you would have to get a waiver from your business head otherwise would have reversed the same.
                                  I told them as I have already resigned and the mistake is from your end why should I ask the waiver from my business head?
                                  And from that day after so many reminders I got a waiver of Rs 350.00 and have been asked to pay the rest of the amount.
                                  And to top it up they have marked me as a default customer, I am very sure that there is not even a single penny of purchase which I have made on this card.

                                    Respected sir,
                                    I am mahesveri prasad rai from ghazipur city(u.p) .i am a on line client of Angel broking ltd. branch ghazipur. I was, on line registered in march 2008 and start my online trading from a cyber café, my code is vrns/blu080 and D/mat-Acc no.is[protected]. last time I have traded on 5th may 2008, and bought the 50 share of Kotak mahindra bank @880with full assurance that I have only this much for delivery, but on dated “08th may 2008” I have got a call from ghazipur branch of Angel broking that in my ledger balance sheet it shows 300 extra scrips of the same Kotak mahindra bank @865 =2, 59, 500, the same day at 5:30 pm I have phone to regional office of Angel broking Lucknow from a local P.C.O-no.[protected] to[protected] informed to mr.Ejaz& Mr.Ashwani about this problem and I have demanded for all my activity details (log details, contract details, client activity). Not only they make me fool they also delayed in sending my details. When I threaten them to move towards SEBI, so by this reaction they send my log details on 8th june 2008 & contract details on 17th june 2008 through internet on my mail id [protected]@rediffmail.com . in between this period from 8th may 2008 to 8th june 2008 they continuously threaten and mentally harrash me to pay the amount . After comparision between log and contract details, I found that there is a contradiction and on this basis I complain against Angel broking ltd. To SEBI & CNBC channel due to immediate effect of CNBC channel mr. Ejaz gave me a oral assurance on my cell no.[protected] on dated 24th july 2008 in evening-“ that we will not sold your any scrips till it comes to its original value and withdraw all your complaints from every were against us “ but due to continuous fall in the market the main office of Angel broking ltd. Mumbai sending me letter to pay the debit and starts charging the interest on the debit .
                                    I have also given so many complaints letter to SEBI through internet, speed post, fax, through phone from 17th june onwards but I have not got any positive response from their side,
                                    I honestly and truthfully accept, that my log details is true.and they have done unauthorized trade for their brokerage without my consent .
                                    So, in this regard I heartly request you to please take a strict action and save me from continuous mental and economical loss. Also suggest me to take legal action against them.

                                      Well i have also applied for Kotak Credit card but i dont know what is the reason these banks give their processes to DSA or DST where they bluff the customer and take their documents by making a hard pitch to the customer. I am also a victim of the same misconduct by Kotak credit card department my application number was[protected]. But at the end of the day the bank dont have any sort of reason why they declined the application without any reason when every thing was appropriate, these things are really a mockery of the credit card industry and just diluting the brand equity of credit card industry. I hope Kotak bank doesnot have any such problem diluting their brand equity or such a pathetic customer service...Wake up boy wake "Customer is the King" i think time for the reminder

I have submitted the documents and signed on the application form also.

                                        i had got a life insurance policy done by a kotak mahindra bank employee stating that i will have to pay the premium only once and there is a three year lock in period of investment .now on his begging to me for getting two policies done as to he had to get his target completed otherwise he would have been sacked from his job, i paid the premium of one lack for two policies .in between the ending of first term i used to get letters from kotak stating that i will have to pay the premium . i asked that employee and he said that no need to pay any prmium .now when the first term has ended that employee has shifted to another branch and i have got five to six letters stating that if i do not pay my premium then my policy will lapse .i went to kotak branch, wrote e-mails but it came of no help . i dont know about other branches but the branch of kotak mahindra in chandigarh as well in panchkula is a totally fraud one .do not ever ever invest with these people

                                        hi i have an account in your bank in the amritsar branch. my father and my mother is having a joint account in the amritsar branch. they are illiterate .they are cheated by your bank. there account no. is[protected]. there are so many illegal transactions in their account. half of the money is invested in the mutual funds. they also done life insurances. they also give the fake fdrs to my grandmother. i want you to meet us and solve this problem otherwise we will go to media. there is very big fraud in amritsar branch situated in punjab, india.

Also this is ULIP polcy. But now I got to know that I have to pay premium atleast TEN years otherwise company will hold my first premium.

                                        This is absolutly worthless to buy policy.
