Subject: Complaint Under the Consumer Protection Act Against Livpure for Deficiency in Service and Unfair Trade Practices

I am filing this complaint under the Consumer Protection Act against Livpure for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices.

I have a Livpure RO filter installed at my home. It had a filtering issue last time, and I lodged a service complaint with ID number [protected] on 16th March 2025. However, it was not responded to, even after repeatedly calling customer care, the escalation department, and the area manager. The technician finally visited on 31st March 2025.

Again, on 4th April 2025, the filter stopped working. I lodged a new complaint on 5th April 2025 with ID [protected], but just like the previous instance, there has been no response to date.

Whenever I call customer care, they repeat the same response — that someone will attend to the complaint within 48 hours — but it never happens. They provided an area manager’s number, but he/she never answers the call. The customer care team is unwilling to connect me to a senior executive or the escalation department, and they only assure me that someone will call back. However, like always, no one calls.

This has caused a lot of harassment to me, and yet the company seems least bothered. The company representatives speak in the same monotonous tone and even cut the call midway, which is unnecessarily rude and uncalled for.

I have written multiple emails to their official email ID ([protected]@livpuresmart.com), yet there has been no resolution, and my grievances remain unaddressed. This situation has left me feeling helpless and harassed, as even a simple issue like RO service has not been resolved despite all my efforts and time invested.

Due to the company's negligence and lack of accountability, I have suffered mental harassment, financial loss, inconvenience, and above all, my family is at serious health risk due to the consumption o[censored]nfiltered and unsafe water.

I have attached herewith the relevant messages and communications, including dates and details received from the company.

I respectfully request the Hon’ble Court to direct the company to respond to my service request without further delay and to award suitable compensation for the mental agony, harassment, and health risks caused to me and my family.

    Warranty replacement was due on nov 24. I opened a ticket but no one came for replacement and ticket was closed on Jan 25 for another work where a paid part was replaced. The technician said that there is a shortage of parts from the company itself and they were waiting for the replacement for past 2 months.
    Area head confirmed that the part had arrived in March so I opened a ticket on first week of march and the ticket is in "assigned" state but local service head said that they dont have my ticket.

    Made multiple calls to Livpure customer care and each time they said that "a senior" would call me back within a hour, but no calls received each time.

    Please assist/guide.

        Respected Sir/Madam,

        I am writing to file a formal complaint against Livpure Rental Services for failing to provide the service I subscribed to and requesting immediate cancellation and a full refund.

        Key Reasons for Complaint:
        Defective Product/Service: The RO purifier installed in January 2025 has been non-functional for the past one week, and despite multiple complaints (starting from 30th January 2025), no action has been taken.

        Failed Commitments: I was promised the issue would be resolved by 1st February 2025, but no action was taken. Upon requesting cancellation on 3rd February, I was again assured of resolution, but no technician visited.

        Breach of Agreement: As the company has failed to provide the promised service, I am entitled to a refund, including any cancellation charges, under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

        Company's Policy Conflict: Despite the 3-month lock-in period, the company is not delivering the service as agreed, and I am entitled to a refund due to defective service.

        Given these reasons, I request immediate cancellation of my subscription and a full refund. If not addressed promptly, I will be forced to seek legal recourse.

          I am filing this complaint to highlight the unprofessional behavior, negligence, and fraudulent practices I have encountered from Livpure’s service team.

          ### **Detailed Issue Description**

          1. **Initial Problem and Technician’s Delay:**
          My Livpure Glitz water purifier stopped working on **15th January 2025**. I contacted the usual technician, **Mr. Mohan Raj**, who had installed the purifier. Despite several calls, he repeatedly delayed the service, promising to come but never showing up until **20th January 2025**, and even then, no repair was done.

          2. **Service Request and Neglect:**
          On **21st January 2025**, I registered a service request with Livpure’s customer service (**Request Number: JS-[protected]**) and was given a scheduled slot for **22nd January at 10:00 AM**. However, no technician visited, and I had to follow up multiple times with no success.

          3. **Repeated Follow-Ups and Lack of Response:**
          - On **22nd January**, I contacted customer service again to check the status of the service. They assured me of high priority but still did not send a technician.
          - On **23rd January**, I was asked to contact the local in-charge, **Mr. Vinoth**, who never answered my calls. Despite escalating the issue, Livpure failed to take any action.

          4. **Fraudulent Message and Call:**
          On **24th January 2025**, I received a suspicious message from Livpure with the same request number but a newly added time slot of **4:30 PM**.
          - This message appeared fraudulent as I had not received any such update earlier.
          - Just **3 minutes after receiving this message**, I received a call from **Mr. Ganesh**, who blamed me for the delay, claiming that technicians only visit my area (Mettupalayam) on Wednesdays. He also falsely claimed my request was logged late (at 4:30 PM on 22nd January), which is untrue since I registered my request on **21st January**.

          5. **Assurance Call on 24th January at 9:10 PM:**
          Later that day, at **9:10 PM**, I received a call from Livpure Smart and Sales Consultant, who assured me the technician would visit on **25th January 2025 by 5:00 PM**. However, as of now (**12 days since the issue started**), no one has contacted me or visited for service.

          ---

          ### **Impact of Negligence and Fraudulent Practices**

          1. **12 Days Without Purified Water:**
          I have been forced to purchase drinking water from outside, which has cost me **₹2, 600** (₹200 per day).

          2. **Mental Frustration and Wasted Time:**
          Livpure’s team, including the customer service staff, technicians, and local in-charges, have shown complete unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction.

          3. **Fraudulent Practices:**
          - The altered message on **24th January 2025** appears to have been manipulated to shift blame onto me.
          - The coordinated call just 3 minutes after the message raises serious concerns about transparency and ethical practices at Livpure.

          1. Immediate resolution of the issue with the water purifier.
          2. Compensation for the **₹2, 600** spent on purchasing drinking water.
          3. Accountability for the fraudulent and unprofessional behavior of Livpure’s staff.
          4. A formal apology and assurance of better customer service in the future.

          I would like to update that my service request with Livpure regarding my Glitz water purifier has finally been resolved after 15 days of continuous follow-ups. Today, I spoke with Mr. Ganesan, ASM of Livpure Chennai, who listened to my concerns, investigated the issue, and ensured that the necessary action was taken. As promised, the technicians arrived and completed the service, and my purifier is now working properly. While I appreciate the resolution, I hope Livpure takes steps to improve service transparency, technician availability, and customer support responsiveness so that other customers don’t face similar challenges. Delays in essential services like water purifiers cause unnecessary inconvenience and financial burden, which could be avoided with better management. Thank you to everyone who helped address the issue. I hope Livpure improves its service experience in the future.

            Hi,
            I have LIVPUR touch + model, 2nd AMC started on June 2023 and valid till June 2026, We were in Bangalore and moved to Chennai on May 2024.
            In Bangalore service was very good and on time.
            After moving Chennai filter life was low raised the request in june, they took 2 month to replace the simple filter, after that water was leaking and told motor is faulty and took 3 month to replace. Again water started leaking after 1 weeks in Nov 2024, person came and told UV filter need to replaced and had bypassed it, After that within one week everyone have viral fever lasting for almost 15 days. Now it is almost 2 months, calling them daily but no one comes, they only giving assurance that evening engineer will be coming, waiting for that evening.
            Request is assigned to Hari Enterprise chennai.
            Person who bypassed UV is Ashwin +[protected].
            And Hari enterprise person contact is Divya +[protected].

            Kindly do the needful to get issue fixed.
            I have attached the product detail with contract detail of AMC.

              Not getting advance money back

              Livpure not picking up machine after I disconnected the service, 20 days back. I'm just getting false assurance and status. Without giving me a call or visiting my place they mentioned that the attempt failed after multiple tries and visited my premises. I'm not getting my deposited money back also.

              We have requested service for our water purifier through livpure website on 28th September, 2024. They have asked us to pay Rs.4369/- beforehand for the service. After payment was done, they have given us a number of service agent. When we have called him regarding service, he told us that he did not receive any service request from the company. We contacted the company regarding this, but they did not take any action against this and even after a month, we still did not receive any service . We are requesting for a refund.

                I booked livpuresmart on 11th Oct 2024 and paid a 6month amount plus security as well with Rs 4193. They committed me to install it next day, but they delayed it for 4 to 5 days. Then I had to get another RO service for my home and cancelled this order before delivery.
                As per direction of customer support, I cancelled the delivery with delivery partner and raised my cancellation on 15th Oct 2024 over customer care. The same has been sent over mail to them as well.
                Every day the customer support persons are saying once cancellation team will call me and will approve my cancellation. Then after that they will initiate my refund which will take another 5 days.
                They are playing with me every day and many times, the customer care people also talked to me in harassing ways, where I am struggling to get my money back.

                  RO service open request pending

                  Called several times for service, but no response.
                  Called their customer care, they informed there is an open service pending, which I didn't open, so they can't raise a new request.
                  They asked me to call the area manager tp get it closed, to open a new service request.

                  This is very rude behaviour from livpure and flipkart. Livpure stated that flipkart will return my faulty ro just purchased on 9th october. Flipkart says liveure will take care. I am really very disappointed with flipkart and livpure. I purchased the product on 9thoctober and the installation team installed it. Water tasted really very bad, black particles in water. They visited again on 11th october and said that the ro is faulty, replaced by flipkart. I placed a return request and flipkart said livpure will process the request. I called livpure on the new customer care number +[protected] and they said to write an email to [protected]@livpure.com. They gave me an automated reply stating my ticket number is generated ticket no:[protected]. I am not able to hear anything more from them. I reached out 10 times and also the calling team from livpure has no access to the email team and email team except automated reply has no way to reply. Now the livpure is starting to contact flipkart and the flipkart executive are saying to contact livpure. I can't afford to lose 6k in this cat fight. Please work in coordination instead of playing a blame game and help customers. I still have hope from flipkart that they might do something but no hope from livpure at all.. Really very bad service experience from installation to calling to emailing. They failed in all aspects.

                    I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue with my Livpure RO service. I am currently on a rental plan costing Rs. 799 per month. On 17.09.2024 at 20:00 hours, I recharged my account with Rs. 799. However, despite the successful payment, the machine is not dispensing water, and my family and I are facing significant difficulties due to the lack of water supply.

                    I have repeatedly contacted customer care regarding this matter but have not received any positive response or resolution from your team.

                    Considering the inconvenience caused, I kindly request that my rental connection be closed immediately. Additionally, I request a refund of Rs. 2, 000 (the amount pending on my account) as well as the Rs. 799 recharge amount.
