Dear Sir/Madam,

I have taken Religare Health Insurance to cover up my financial uncertainty due to Medical expenses but Religare Health Insurance has not settled my claim when I need it.

My wife Alka Pandey client I'd no 53890069 has been admitted in Fortis Hospital on 10th April Night by 10 PM due to Vomiting and continue Loose stool causing Dehydration. We have sent the claim via hospital TPA dept on 11th Morning for authorisation. However they have ask some queries. Post resolution of query also they took more than 18 hrs to revert and they have declined my claim stating Hospitalisation not required.

This is just a vegue revert they have given and despite several call done by me they have not revert with justification and not settled the claim.

    Ved Vati (my mother) had visited Dr. S.K Srivastava at VPS Rockland Hospital in Dwarka Delhias on 5th February 2017. sHe had been suffering severe chest pain . Upon examinations the doctor advised angiography to be conducted. For the same, she was admitted to Rockland Hospital in emergency on 5th February 2017. Upon angiography, the doctors found out that she 99% blockages in a main artery and an emergency angioplasty surgery was conducted by Dr.sk srivastava as on 7th February 2017. Thankfully, the surgery was successful and she was discharged on 10 February 2017.

    She had applied for star Health Insurance in Oct 2015 and the policy start date is 27th October 2015. That time the star health agent was behind our life to make the premium payment and promised tall (and subsequently I realize, farce) benefits of cashless admissions in some 100s of hospitals across India, additional benefits, blah, blah, blah. We finally gave in, premium paid, policy made and a fancy Insurance card was given. We were told that we just have to flash that Insurance card at any partner hospital for cashless admissions. And after one yar I got a call Religare and he said for portability and I have done the portability in religare that now we can transfer our health worries to them. And as stupid and naïve we were we believed.

    Come 5th february 2017. I requested for cashless admission of my Mother by showing her Insurance card. The hospital thought I was dumb **** to believe that such thing ever exists. They gave a form with multiple pages to be filled and several documents to be attached. I ran from pillar to post to get the things in place. I personally visited the religare gurgaon office to take approval for cashless but I was told that a reply will be received within 4 hours. Subsequently, Religare requested for more papers and more details. This continued. Meanwhile, my Mother kept fighting for her life. Doctors told that the Angioplasty Surgery had to be performed immediately and we had to arrange Rs. 3.5 lakhs on a monday (6th february 2017). That experience was nothing short of hell. Meanwhile, our file was laying somewhere in Religare’s systems who had very conveniently asked us to surrender our health problems to them. We believed and we suffered. Finally, we managed payments with help of relatives and friends. Angioplasty was conducted successfully next Tuesday and thursday (07 February 2017) and my mother was in CCU until 10th February 2017. Till this time I had already been forced to deposit Rs. 3.5 lakhs to the hospital.

    Meanwhile, Religare did wake up from their slumber and passed on my query to third party ground investigation team and the claim manager visited to hospital to meet personally with patient and doctor . As insensitive and as heartless these people could be, they sent their agent right into the CCU room of my Mother where she was lying unconscious to “enquire about the claim” and gather information and hospital bed photograph with patient. This was when the doctors had given us strict instructions to not meet the patient and we used to sit outside the CCU room for hours together to be able to get one glimpse of my Mother. Upon raising this with Ground investigator, she had this is formality to tell that she had sent an agent to just give best wishes to the patient. Really!? Is that what you people do? Are you so heartless? Then I requested her to reach me directly for any queries. Ground investigation third party agencies don’t understand that more than the patient, it is the relatives who suffer and go through mental agony. After complete the investiona again case was reinvestigate as on 8th February then kept calling me asking for almost the same documents that I had already submitted. And they kept asking me and Hospital TPA to submit same required documents. Sure, religare you are running a business. But please don’t be so insensitive, brutal and ruthless that you don’t understand that the patient’s kin have many other duties to fulfil at priority rather than replying to your queries immediately. This was not it. They again visited directly to the nurses section on the floor where my mother’s ward was and started enquiring from whoever was available at that point of time in my Mother’s room. Seriously, is this the way you work. Religare, these are your tall claims of “Ab Health Hamesha” and “Values that Bind”. Please get a reality check done on yourselves.

    Finally I re-submitted the required documents and additional document from the surgeon as asked by you thru mail. Please remember this processing was all happening for CASHLESS Claim, 4 days after admission and when I had already paid Rs. 3.5 lakh. I could just cry at my desperate situation or just laugh at my stupidity of trusting Religare with the most important decision of my life.

    Meanwhile, thanks to God my Mother was recovering well. Finally, on 8 February 2017, I call to customer care of Religare, and he telling me in a very indifferent note “Sir your claim for cashless has been rejected. Please contact your nearest branch if you want to file for reimbursement your amount.” With utter shock, I asked the reason. The reason he mentioned was that “they had a doubt that my mother suffered an illness before the insurance policy was made” and history of pre disease, Seriously! How lousy and shameless a reason that could. What a way to play with someone’s emotions. On further insisting, he just declined to give any comments and just said that if I have any further queries I can email to [protected]@religare[dot]com. Is that it? On real pleading, he agreed to send me an email with the reason for denial. Apart from their DOUBT, another reason they cited is that we failed to give documents of previous history of illness inspite of multiple reminders. What a shame! What a mockery of the patient. You are hell bent on proving that she was ill since years. Where do I get documents from if nothing exists? I gave them a document from the surgeon suggesting that there was no previous history. But to this, Religare said they can’t consider that letter.
    With teary eyes when I told this to the surgeon, he just told me one thing – “If your Mother had been harbouring this serious illness since past years she wouldn’t have been able to make it till now. Go and tell this to the Insurance company.” I was speechless after that.
    Helpless, I peronassly tell to Religare cashless team and as expected there has been no response since then. Eventually, I cleared the entire bill and got my father back home on 10 February 2017.

    After this, few things are clear:
    1) Religare are denying my claim on false doubts that my mother harboured an illness and diabetic patient before the insurance policy was made.
    2) If Religare think that my Mother had an illness from before, why did their blood tests and other tests were completely clear?
    a. That means, Religare’s claim of point 1) above is false
    b. Religare did get to know that there was something wrong with my mother’s health and they still decided to go ahead with the policy, keeping us in dark. This is unlawful in any case

    This incident has proved that all the tall claims by Religare for cashless admission, benefits etc are 100% total farce. Companies like these act as your best pals when they want to squeeze money out of your pockets to reach their targets. When customers require their help they are far from being helpful.

    This incident has amounted not only to financial loss but also to extreme mental torture and waste of time. I assure that I will take required legal action and not give to these dastardly tactics of the Insurance Company.

    Religare, I am still waiting for a response from you my reimbursement claim.

    Mr Raj kapoor, how & why have ported your policy to religare from star? w/o go through terms & conditions of religare policy, only beneifit of porting is continuity of previous policy with new insurer. In previous policy if no claims or pre existing health history there is no question of denial of claim by the insurer. Suspicion/doubts/suspecting of pre existing are not valid reasons for rejection of claim without medical documentary evidence. Pl insist insurer to provide documentary evidence for denial of claim. If no response within 30 days of yr request pl approach insurance ombudsman on denial of claim & cancellation of policy if any.

      I had purchased the policy last year with bonus option for my parents. I had paid premium of approx. Rs. 29, 500 for floater policy of 5 lac. While purchasing i was told that premium will remain same for 2 years. Also the next year the policy holder can opt out of the Bonus option and still the bonus earned for first year will stay next year as well. As per the bonus option, in case there is no claim the coverage amount will increase to Rs. 750, 000/-.

      Now i am being informed that you guys have changed the product and the premium increased to approx. Rs. 33500. Also i was informed that if i opt out of bonus option during his year, the bonus amount earned for the first year will not remain valid.

      I would discontinue the policy if the same is not changed. I am very unhappy with Religare as they commit something else while selling the product and do not deliver anything after sales is done. very very unprofessional. I have made multiple calls to the customer care and they inform that they cannot do anything about this.

        It is hereby to bring to your notice that I have been facing some real harassment and have been humiliated in every possible way.
        My father in law is been admitted in Fortis escorts in New Delhi and he has an insurance from Religare in the name of Mr.Prem Kumar id number 53401976 and 80109217 this is clients id at Fortis escorts We suddenly got to know about his heart blocking after an angiography was done at Fortis Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi.
        He had a minor pain in his chest while waking and then we just got a normal checkup from our near by doctor Harish Batra whose hospital is in panipat. He suggested us to get a checkup from Delhi and that's how we went to Fortis for angiography. We got to know about his blocking and we had to operate him immediately. We had no clue of this problem ever before this. We were already in so much pain that Religare was the company on which we were so dependent as we got an insurance from here.
        In return of such a loyal customer what we get in return is harassment, ignorance and what not. We have been paying our premiums on time and expected the same kind of help when needed but one of your employee name Aman came to our residence for documentary work and everything was normal till then. Suddenly we get to know that our claim is being rejected on the basis of hypertension. The whole point comes down to that our father doesn't have any such issue so why this? Then we went and asked the Doctor in panipat and he clearly stated that he dint have any hypertension and he also told us that one guy had come down to his hospital a number of times saying that he needs help and one of his insurer will get the claim if he gets the documents from the doctor stating that he has hypertension and he tried manipulating the doctor that way and the doctor being kind and helpful got confused with the name as he treats too many patients in a day to remember anyone's name personally. I personally visited the doctor and asked him and he was so shocked about the whole issue as he thought it was for another Prem kumar so to correct himself he gave me a written document which is attached with the mail stating that my father doesn't have any hypertension and he was so sorry about the whole thing. He was so annoyed by the whole manipulation.
        To also prove this point we visited the doctor in Fortis from where the treatment is going on and he also stated the Same thing that there is no hypertension. If my father had any hypertension kinda thing the doctors would have taken precautions while getting him operated.
        I would request you to go through this issue as soon as possible and consult both the doctors if necessary.
        I am going through financial issues as this was such a sudden surgery, and on that these all manipulation harassment.
        All my family members have insurance from Religare and we trusted this company blindly but the behaviour and manipulation have pulled our trust back.

        I hope you look into this matter and get this solved as soon possible as we are facing too many financial issues at the hospital.

          Myself Divya NIkkunj Mehta.holding a mediclaim of your company reliagare and my policy no. is 10703948 claim no. is[protected] i had applied for mediclaim of Rs 24200/- (approx) but it is passed fro only Rs. 9206/- although i have submitted all the original bills with hospital stamps and all..than i don't understand why my claim is not passed fully...and here also want to tell u that i[censored] can not passed it fully at least return my original bills and documents..so that i can go for legal steps against ur company...it is kind of harassment in part of the customer. even i m continuously trying to contact you people through ur customer service and help desk no. even mails are getting bounce..so here in this situation it becomes very difficult to contact u people and..unsatisfactory reply from you people r really disappointing the customer..

            I have a account with Religare, Client ID AA5063. Currently staying in USA.

            On 8th of March 17 bought 500 No. On Rs.1452 TATA ELXISI .broker said you can trade with the margin amount we have your holding and mutual fund of around 313, 000/- so we can give a margin and you can trade in tata elxisi. Dealer has given 100% leverage based on my portfolio.before taking leverage i asked him weather its allowed or not, He said its allowed on Basis your portfolio and you can hold for 2 months . Broker Misguided us .

            On 10th March 17 Equity got sold without my Knowledge with loss of 24k . In just 2 days who is going to be responsible here. They did not called me / informed me before selling it out and who has given the authority to do so without my approval. I already informed my broker on phone as well as on email to sale when share will reach on 1477 to 1480 . He said ok as well. .

            I asked my dealer about this case he told this should not happen he will check and revert he never revert upfront i need to follow up always. I called him and ask he told there is a technical error that is the reason your shares have been sold . Later he promised me that you will get your complete amount of money refund because it is system mistake (he call this transaction Trade & Error) in your linked bank account in 3-4 working days now its more then 15 days passed called him multiple times he is not reverting when i called him yesterday he is telling he has not received approval from senior and all. He told me today you will get refund of only brokerage and taxs because the holding was not showing so we did RMS he is making me fool and manipulating kindly help me out .

            After he said Intimate were sent on your registered mobile because you are in USA may be you didn't receive, I said that number is on in India then he said msg bounced he got mail.he is manipulating .I would have transfered money If they could have called me .

            I need my shares back.

              I opened health insurance with Religare in month of August 2016.I received my policy kit in couple of weeks but with the spelling mistake on the smart card(cashless card). After a week I contacted to the agent and he took the policy kit, promising that will be done in 10 working days.its been more than 8 months now that I don't have my policy kit .And I don't feel comfortable with the service u guys provide.

                I submit the document of power of attorney for sell /purchase of share dated 03.03.17AT NEHRU PLACE office, .after 10 days I sign it again.but today dated 16.03.17 i am unable to do trading after 14 day.i have very bad experience with religare and very poor working style.when share market is very sensitive thing.but your attitude show religare is very careless about your costumer.it very irresponsible style of work.just like a Government office not private.

                  Dear Sir,

                  I have 2 health insurance policies with Religare which was ported from Star Health this year in Aug 16. My Husband was admitted for chikungunya on 26th Sept 16. During the hospitalization i was told that my claim will not be paid as my husband had pre-existing condition i.e. Diabetes. I had clearly declared this while taking the policy to the Sales executive Mr Vivek Prasad and was told that it will be covered as this is an ported policy.

                  I spoke to Vivek who stated I should have informed him of the hospitalization so that he would inform the claims dept prior to admission. I also spoke to his Asst Manager, Rohit Gupta and his Senior Avishek Shukla who is the Center Head. All gave me the assurance that the claim will get paid once i submitted all the hospital bills and expenses.

                  From that time i have been continuously been asked for various documents to support my claim and they came back stating documents not received. I finally wrote to the Grievance cell of Religare in Jan 17 and was told under process and will be paid.

                  I again followed up and received a mail stating my claim will not be paid due to the pre-existing condition. Lokesh from the Legal dept called in Feb 17 and stated that he is personally looking into the claim and will respond in 2 days. Till date I have not heard from him and now none of the mobile nos are operational hence not able to reach anyone.

                  I need your help in resolving this as even if my husband has a pre-existing condition, no treatment was done for diabetes, so why the claim cannot be paid. also if they knew they cannot pay then why did they continue to ask for documentation again and again.

                  I can provide all the proof with dates and supporting paper whenever you ask.

                      HI,

                      Religare issued one health to me without taking any written confirmation from my side and they had taken money from Indus Ind Credit card by doing a fraud transaction,

                      i need justice in this case how can they take money from my account without taking any confirmation from me.they even didn't taken my personal details also they simply added my nick name and mentioned some fake address and they issued policy.

                      now they are not responding to mails and calls for cancelling of this policy and not even refunding.

                        This is not the first time this has happened to me. And i complained it n no of times. I am writing my query here for the first time, hoping to get some positive reply

                        I was holding equity shares for nearly 1 year . And i have purchased one lot of RCOM derivative for the month of Feb. Its just a 10 days and i was in a loss of nearly 10k. I had already informed my broker 4-5 times that i will purchase one more lot if the share price gets down by 2-3 rupees. And if they get any message from Sebi just inform me, I will transfer the money.

                        Today 27th Jan, 2017 Religare has sold my Equity shares nearly with a loss of 40K. Who is going to be responsible here. They did not called me / informed me before selling it out and who has given the authority to do so without my approval.

                        I need my shares back.

                        I would have transfered money if they could have called me. Or I would have sold my derivates first without touching my long term investment equity shares.

                          After too many complaints to religare health insurance grievance but still they did not complete the task of medi-claim reimbursement since 20th-Oct-16 to till today, even they are not properly reply on irda portal as per the norm declared by IRDA, I had been submit my all and final document to them at 20th-Oct-16 but they has been raised query many time, which is en ethical practice as per the norm declared by IRDA & on that basis they still wast the time process.

                          Sir your adviser call me 1000 times per day in[protected] and I buy 500reliance share . He deposited total 780000 by me for long time shares but without my knowledge he sell and by shares. At that time I transfered Varanasi up so what I do please help me and save my money and return my new account in varanasi

                            Dear team

                            I have a corporate policy of religare health, policy no.10612751.

                            I am submitted claim of my mother sushil babel, client id – 53659507, today i have received a message regarding the pendency in claim and after communication to religare customer care they informed me that i have not submitted the x-ray image. But i have already submitted the x-ray at the time of submitted all the documents.

                            I have submitted all the necessary bills with post & pre hospitalization.

                            My claim are divided in 3 parts ;-

                            1). Pre hospitalization = rs.1300 + 1460= 2760 (Bill and x-ray image already submitted at the time of submitted all the documents.)

                            2). Hospitalization expenses = rs. 80650 (Bill submitted)

                            3). Post hospitalization = rs.700 (Bill submitted at the time of submitted at the documents)

                            Total claim amount is rs.84110

                            I got a message from religare co. Regarding rs. 58313.25 has been approved but i can’t understand what and which amount is taken under process.

                            If pre & post hospitization rs.2760 & 700 in under process than the remaining amount is rs.80650 and after deduction of 25% co - payment the amount is rs.60487.50

                            I have attached my claim amount details and also the bill of pre hospitalization.

                            Request to you that kindly check the document again.

                              Hi as per my claim raised with religare ( claim number[protected] you have only approved Rs 156927.00.

                              However the total treatment amount is Rs 354128.00. You've stated in your explanation that you as a company don't pay for robotic surgery expenditures.

                              I've then provided you letter from my hospital for normal surgery amount which is around Rs 227000.

                              Even after providing you the value related to normal surgery you've only authorised Rs 156927.00.

                              I would like explanation how you've calculated this amount by email.

                              Please reply back within 14 days with all the facts or I will take legal proceeding.

                              I had reply from your customer service who just attached the final bill from hospital with breakdown. From that particular bill here are my points. You already been provided with final bill from hospital and Open and robotic surgery breakdown of charges. Please let me know if you need any information related to charges. As your claim amount is just not right and makes no sense.

                              I’ve compared your approved amount against the Open surgery (Total Cost – 2, 27000) and there are following differences. You have mentioned in your approval letter

                              1. “RS. 60250 DEDUCTED AS PROPORTIONATE AS PATIENT ROOM ELIGIBILITY IS 3000/DAY.”
                              I’ve attached the bill breakdown and the maximum room rent charged for 3 days is Rs 16000.00 please provide explanation why have you deducted Rs 60250.

                              2. “RS.132776/-DEDUCTED AS IT IS NOT PAYABLE AS PER POLICY”

                              These charges are listed as ‘Robotic consumables’ in the final bill breakdown from hospital (copy attached).I understand Robotic procedure or any cost associated to this are not covered. However the Normal/Open surgery (attached) consumable costs are Rs 35000.00 and at least this minimum amount should have been covered in the approved amount.

                              Please provide explanation with supportive evidence or documents.
                              I’ve consulted my legal team and I will take this issue to court for justification and will seekReligare liable for any legal costs.

                                Please confirm the status of the refund initiated by you for the difference amount of rs.1948/-.

                                Break up of same is as below:

                                Earlier policy issued by ms. Shobha : rs. 19902/- dated: 17 oct 2016
                                Later policy changed and issued by you : rs 17954/- dated: 25 oct 2016
                                Difference amount to be refund by religare: rs. 1948/-

                                Request you to initiate the refund of difference amount of rs. 1948/- with immediate effect, as you have already taken a month instead of week.

                                Also i tried to contact you over phone but you are not responding to my calls.

                                Take this matter on top priority and process share the reference no. Of transaction made into my account at the earliest.

                                    I was admitted to forrd in emergency condition on 28 july 2016 at 4 am in morning.
                                    I made a claim for reimbursement and sent all the required documents to religare.

                                    But my claim has been rejected with reason "investigation and evaluation not covered normal vital"

                                    They are saying that i could have been treated in opd and admission was not required. I went to hospital at 4 am in morning in emergency condition.
                                    I sent doctors letter on letter head in which it was mention that admission was necessary and i was admitted in emergency condition.

                                    I contacted all the concerned person, grievance cell etc but my case is not resolved.

                                      I booked appointment for new aadhar card on 6th October, 2016 from http://appointments.uidai.gov.in. I visited the center(location-861, 1st main, Kengeri Satelite Town, Opp Kanti Sweets, Bangalore-560060) on the mentioned date around 11AM. But the mentioned center was closed. My date and time of enrollment was 06/10/2016 at 10-11AM .Then I asked the local people, why the center is closed. Then the people replied that the center opens around 2PM and closes around 5PM. Then I got confused because my timing was around 10-11AM. Then around 2:15PM the Enrolment Operator(Gajendra H S) came, I told him regarding my appointment timing. I didn't get proper reply from him. After completing the procedure he asked me to pay 100/-. I replied him saying it supposed to be free. But he told me that 100/- is the aadhar card processing charge, you have to pay.So I ended up paying 100/-. This is completely unacceptable. Government should take strict action against these kind of fraud operator all across India.

                                        I have an individual policy of Religare health insurance, In August I have admitted to one of the networked hospital of Religare and requested for cashless treatment, but they denied after twice submitting the report by hospital.need to ask compensation for not providing the services when needed .

                                        my client is is 52052107, I have admitted on 17th august 2016 morning in park hospital sector 47 Gurgaon, which is impaneled with Religare network hospital. Expected a cashless service,

                                        first of all i have no idea what they have submitted to you, They are in your impaneled network, it means you trust them and giving ensurity to your customer that if they plan to admit means some issue must be there, if there weren't any issue then why they have admitted me, I got admitted just because of one thought that They are trusted partner of Religare Enterprise and not going to bluff AND i am covered i am not supposed to pay anything or take any burden but you guys cheated, As per hospital they gave me ensurity that it will be cashless and they again submitted the report which shows the patient is suffering from Viral with Typhoid symptoms and they are investigating and evaluation stage of typhoid. JUST BECAUSE YOU GUYS HAVE NO FAITH IN EACH OTHER WHY WOULD A PATIENT SUFFER??????? I PAID YOU THE PREMIUM, MAY I NOT EXPECT YOUR SERVICE IN RETURN??? YET TO IN YOUR TRUSTED AND CERTIFIED IMPANELED HOSPITAL.
