COMPLAINT-SYMPHONY JUMBO COOLER-VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I bought Symphony Jumbo Cooler from Shivam Steel Furniture Industries, C-131, Sector-9, Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida-201301 on April 21st 2009.

One day suddenly while running the cooler the fan of the cooler broke down in the night. Next day i went to the dealer asked for the replacement of the fan

I contacted symphony help line and got the contact detail of your service centre CEE EL Traders, C-14, Sector-10, Noida-201301 and got the complaint number 1012 dated[protected]. They promised to installed a new fan with in 15 days. Now its been more than 25 days. i contacted Cee El traders and learnt that they have no idea about the fan and cannot commit any thing. They are waiting for Fan for last two Months and company is not providing any form to them.

Service request no:GH-HM-24E16007 was made on 24 th May. A technician came but could not resolve the issue. I made continuous call to the supervisor of the area but the matter remains unresolved till date. I am highly dissatisfied with the service of such a brand name as Symphony.

    i purchased a winter cooler on 20.04.2010 form Bombay electronics indore. Within 15 days bottom roller mounting get damaged, level indicator stopped and cooling pad was not getting wet properly. I raised a telephonic complaint ( comp. No. 200015) to symphony service center about this but person mentioned only about the cooling pad problem and attended same only , he also confirmed that remaining job will be done later because parts is not available . After that i have approaching ti service center but they just confirm that they will get this job done by tomory. when i saw that they are still not responding me ,i raised the compalint again to service provider with com. No 30019. Where i added another problem of swinging and online on syphony website as well. Then i got massage from syphony as a confirmation of compalint meanwhile they also sent me the nearest service provider correspondence and i made contact to them but they also not responding. I am realy getting irritated to those service provider of symphony. I feel that i bought a old cooler like.

      purchased symphony cooler sumo junior on 30 september 2010. but from last month it gave bad smell like wire burning, rotate very slowly, come current when water flow. I got delhi service centre no from ur banglore office. when I call on that No., he gave another Mobile No.[protected], [protected] and said u registered ur comlain in this No. when I call on above no. [protected] on 26/08/2011, he registered mycomplain and gave complain No.RS-2601 and said engineer will visit ur home very soon.       I have purchased a symphony room cooler from M/S. Ankur Electricals, B-1/32, Sector-18, Noida vide their bill No. 4420 dt. 15.06.2011. After few days it has stopped working . I have lodged a complaint against this problem. One person from the service department came he opened the cooler. But after that no body is giving any response nor picking up phone.

      Your are requested to kindly look into the matter and solve my problem otherwise I have no option to go consumer court.

      I purchased a symphony room cooler 22 litre diet model with remote from Chatwal Electrical, Shop No.1, New Market, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017 on 7.4.2012. Within one month of its purchase, its pump stopped working. I lodged complaint on phone No.[protected] and it was attended within reasonablly time. Again on 20.6.2012, it stopped working (this time both fan and pump). It is regretted that since then inspite of my number of complaints on phone No.[protected] (last call no. AQU-29 F 12019) no one turned to rectify the fault till this time i.e.4.00pm dt 3.7.2012. Will someone attend or should i go to consumer court?         I purchased DiET 50T cooler from Symphony, with lot of expectation. The dealer convinced that "It is the World’s lagest tower cooler and we would not have to worry about filling water in it". Just after 10 days our harrowing experience started. The wheels started coming out and slowely it... became so frequent that most of the time we were fixing the wheels instead of getting cool air.
        You can’t imagine what can happen when the wheel of cooler having 45-50 ltrs of water comes out. Because of its tower structure it tumbles and can fell on you with great force. Once a wheel come out it become extremely difficult to fix as the others come out, if you try to lift it from one side.
        It is very sad that a company like Symphony can launch such a product without testing for all such conditions.
        Their service people are so nice to tell you clearly that the cooler can not work with its full load and can support only half of it. Though the 50 ltr. capacity is its USP.
        I have taken up the matter with their sr. management to take corrective action. Despite their service people openly accepting that it has a design fault they have not taken any corrective action except repalcing the wheel, which are going to face the same fate in another 15 days.

        I have created a community page on facebook i.e "DiET cooler complaint" so as to get the experience of all others who are facing this problem. You can also send complaints at diet.[protected]@gmail.com, which would be compiled collectively.
        Let all o[censored]s show the world what consumers can do if they are united. Write your complaints(specially legs i.e design fault) about DiET 50T cooler and we would make the company realise that they can’t get away from their responsibility towards consumers. They should give replacement to all customers.

        Exactly same case has happened with me and these shameless symphony service center does not accept the design fault in the model . I was told by the service center guy that its a known problem and nothing can be done to fix it.

        I have sent mail to them expecting some reply on it :

        I'm highly dissatisfied with the services provided by Symphony service center, my case ref#OME-8E130011 was closed without providing any solution to it .

        Issue : This cooler(Diet 50-i) was delivered to me on 05/05/2013 with all mark and scratch around the body and the wheel was faulty not able to to take the weight of the cooler when complain service person came and checked he refixed wheel using tape and mentioning that it cannot take up 50lts of weight i need to use it only with 20-30ltrs of water in it, capacity of the cooler is 50ltrs if this was the case why i was not informed at the time of purchase i could have purchased other model by paying less amount .

        Please assist me to get this faulty piece replaced and have some respect for your customers.

          I m M.R.Chauhan. I bought the aircooler of symphony. on date 06/05/2010. When i fillup the water in it then for the weight of water the cooler fall down it happen many times, its wheel dosnt work properly and removes automatically its very dangerous for children. I have complaint many times in customer care they tell me that after 1 or 2 days our michanic will come at your home, after complaint, 2 weeks gone there is no mechanic came from service center. I dont want that cooler. I want my money back. plz plz help.

            I have brought a Symphony Diet Cooler 22T Model (07A1210B9957) on 10th April 2010. I have hardly used it for a month. The Pump of the cooler is not working any more so no cooling action. I called up the call centre and complained. They gave me a local Hyderabad repair person number who is hardly reachable. Call centre and the Mechanic hardly answers the call. The after sales service is very poor. There is hunders of such complaints seen in this forum also.

              SIR, I have purchased a Symphony Jumbo Jr. cooler wide bill no. 4816 dt 10/4/2010 from INDO ELECTRICAL, 23 JAYANTI MARKET, MI RD, JAIPUR ON 10/4/2010. Since its purchase the pump of this cooler is not working properly for which I have lodged the complaint on your loccal no.[protected]. Although your local representive attended all the three times but the defect remains as it is. You are requested to please intervene in the matter and sort out my problem earliest possibe as the peak summer season and reputation of company is at stakes.

                  It is matter of great concern that I had purchased 2 desert coolers in May,2009 from M/S New Ganpati Electronics, Panipat.

                  Since,at present the pump of one cooler is not working therefore the dealer i.e M/S New Ganpati Electronics, Panipat.was contacted. His service man said the pump motor is not working but refused to replace the same. As per your advice, your service incharge Mr. Rajesh was contacted on mobile no. [protected].He asked that bill may be provided which is not traceable at the moment. Without bill he straight refused to help me.

                  You will appreciate that keeping in view the creditability & after sale service of your repute company I had purchased the coolers of high cost but when now I am facing trouble to get the services one of other persist, services are being declined by your dealer or service incharge.

                  Needless to mention that M/S Ganpati is not ready to issue duplicate bill.But when your product is not giving satisfactory service within the validity period then your service incharge should not refuse to resolve my grievance.

                  Under the above circumstances, I again approach your good office to pl. instruct your Panipat service incharge to resolve my said grievance promptly under intimation to me pl.

                  Symphony — Unsatisfactory Performance

                  I have purchased Symphony Winter Model this April but the movement of the cooler is not good as soon as i move the cooler the wheels of cooler come out and thus the chances are there that cooler may fall down. I have taken this cooler just because of easy moving and now it not giving performance accordingly.

                  Dear Mr.Murugan,

                  This has reference to our discussion on the subject . I would like to place on record the un professional response by you staff from Sree Sha ( authorized service centre) in chennai. The technician attended by service request & given an estimate to replace pumping motor for the cooler & taken service charge of Rs 200 & subsequently , when I called your service centre after two days for requesting replacement of the same.
                  The staff in the reception , had bluntly refused to take the request mentioning that there is no services in my area & it can be possible only after sourcing more service in my area, they will consider the job request. The lady had even told me that “ Just because you are free , you can’t expect our people to serve you & banged the phone”
                  How could a company of your status, can employ such in decent people to jeopardize the brand image ??. Pls note, nobody had even called to rectify the problem in spite of your interference since Tuesday ( 21/05/2012)

                    SYMPHONY COMFORT — No After Sales Service

                    I had purchased a Symphony Portable Room Air Cooler Serial No ( [protected] ), on 16-06-09. from M/s Saha & Sons Agency Bari Bazaar Munger BIHAR.

                    After a fortnight the water pump stopped working. After Numerous phone calls, for its' rectification, to the distributor there was No response.

                    The Distributor says he's merely a seller of the product and the onus of repair / warranty lies with the company, The customer service of the company asks to get in touch with the distributor. the purchaser is being harassed, and being made to run from pillar to post.
                    I have a symphony water cooler.Its air directional movement is not working& its cooling pads have given their life.No agency is repairing these things around chattisgarh area.Pl HELP.
                    Symphony is a fraud company. They will never listen to your complaint.

                    thats not the end the persons who came on 25.04.2011 said that water pump needs to be replaced but they are not having new pump so they will be coming the next day in morning i.e on 26th morning but they did not responded till afternoon.After calling them on phone they replied that they are on some other place & will not be able to come as informed.

                    What should a person can do if such is behaviour of this type of company.
                    its better never to purchase such companys products.

I bought Symphony Winter from Seva Electronics Raipur, they supplied me defective cooler and now he is not agree to replace it. On complaint owner of Seva Electronics told me that I have to log service call and service engineers may repair my defective cooler. Attention all never faith on brand SYMPHONY.

                    Symphony suffers from Marketing Myopia..NO Service after they have made the sale

                    After repeatedly calling their service centre I think I am lucky enough to get a service request number request. The request number is FA-AV-4G13014. And the message said the service would be provided within 24 hours.But after that a long silence, no response from their customer service branch. I am repeatedly calling them but the only answer I am getting from them is it will be done by tomorrow. I hope people reading this

                      i bought new symphony air cooler from chroma star bazar,kormangala bangalore on 15th march 2010the cooler just worked till 7th april 2010 then i made a complaint to symphony customer care one person came to check the cooler he told the new pump is to be needed n now the spare part is presently not with him when the company will provide me the pump i will come and change the pump but for last 20 days i m continuosly calling them for the same but no body is coming to replace the pump of my cooler .i need an immediate action against them.

                          Myself k.m.parnale residing at rajula dist amreli gujarat.
                          I bought the symphony air cooler Jumbo jr from 'SUVIDHA Rajula' on 3/5/2009, within first week its fan (made of plastic material) was broken into pieces. It was replaced by symphony technition after about one week.
                          the cooler was then kept in its box for not required in other than summer time.
                          it was again brought into use and again within one week time use the fan was broken automatically on 22/4/2010 . It seems that the fans may be having design fault. Have to be replaced under warrenty free of charge. no technitian have came for service till date.
                          I am not at all satisfied with the product & the service.

                              I had taken the cooler on 1st APRIL 2010 From BAIDEHI HOME CARE,KRISHNAPARK,DEVLI ROAD,KHANPUR.While i had open the new cooler there are broken Wheels found and it takes 3-4 days to repair.After that i used the cooler with water.But it is not cooling a small room or throw coll air from it.When i had made complaint on symphony customer care they provide me the contact details of AQUA GREAT ENTERPRISES,LAXMI NAGAR.                               On 13th May, 2009, I have purchased a Symphony Air - Cooler (Winter) from M/s. Adith Electronics, 7-1-616, Rahmath Complex, Ameerpet ‘X’ Roads, Hyd-16. At the end of the season (June 2009), I have cleaned it and kept it aside by covering it.. With the on set of this summer, i.e. from 4th April, 2010, I took out the Cooler and poured water in it and started the Cooler, To my surprise, the fan was running but there is no cooling at all. Immediately, I rang up the Telephone Number of the Service Center shown on the warranty Card i.e. 27602144. The voice of Lady Employee (by name Laxmi) came on the line and I told her about my problem. However, she refused to take my Complaint and instead informed that their Service Center would not take up any Air Cooler Complaints which are under Warranty period.

                              On 5th April, 2010, again I approached the Dealer M/s. Adith Electronics at Ameerpet and again informed about my problem. In turn, he spoke to one Sri Srikanth over phone[protected] and informed about my complaint (No.400 dt.[protected] problem. To this, Mr.Srikanth has informed the Dealer that he would send the Service Center Mechanic within 2-3 days and since then, none has turned up at my residence to look into my complaint, till date.

                              Again on 21st April, 2010, when I got in touch with the Dealer M/s Adith Electronics that they speak to the Service Center to look in to my complaint, the Dealer gave me another Phone No.23468022. When I spoke this Number, I was informed that, the service Mechanic would attend the complaint within 2-3 days i.e. after[protected]. But in vain.

                              After purchasing a branded product like (Air-Cooler - “Symphony” Winter) from your concern, I had to undergo sleepless nights for the last one and half months. This only goes to show as to how you care about customer’s grievance. Since I have no other with regard to my complaint, I am compelled to knock the door of Consumer Forum in Hyderabad, for redressal of my grievance.

                              I agree. I bought a cooler on 20th March 2010 and 3 days back, there was a huge flash and the cooler stopped working. Its been 3 days now, but no one has come to attent the problem. Everytime I am complaining, they give some or the other excuse. They dont have a complaint number in the Symphony website too.
                              I AM TOTALY agree with you guys. Symphony doesn't provide good support or service. I have been calling Mr. Khursheed and Suresh Chandra(AQUA GREAT ENTERPRISES, LAXMI NAGAR) both not responding. I bought a symphony jumbo jr. It is priced around 5000 and doesn't cool at all. Initaillly it had started throwing water and current. but now it had stoped water consumption and still leaves electricty current

                                    This is the continuation of the communication with your Area Sales Manager Mr. Amit. I have purchased a Symphony Ice Cube Air cooler from M/s Hansa Gift Gallery, Lakshmi Nagar Delhi – 92 on 10-April-2010. On 23-April-2010 there is some huge sound while running and it get vibrates we switched off and called up your service center M/s Global Services they logged a complaint (Complaint No: - 2238) and they informed us we will send an engineer by Tomorrow. We are still waiting and calling up your service center, later we come to know they logged two complaints with the same complaint number. Then we contacted the dealer (25-Apr-2010) from where we purchased, he gave Mr. Amit’s contact number and said he is the right person so you can call by Monday, April 26, 2010, when we called up Mr. Amit asked for the complaint number and said “I’ll check and send the technician by today”. Then we called up the service center Technician is on the way he will reach your place at 2.00pm approx. but nobody comes. Finally I contacted Mr. Amit once by evening and he said I am on meeting I will check and call you later and he asked the complaint number once. I asked him the responsible person for this issue he provided your mail address and your contact number I tried that number no response, I don’t know that is right number or not. Now I would like to ask some questions:-
                                    This is how your service is?
                                    What is the reason for the delay and how would to compensate this?
                                    How your service center can log two complaints in same complaint number?
                                    I spent Rs 4100/- for this cooler by stating the product and expecting quality service, now both are vain!! (local and other brands of Coolers are available from Rs 2000/-)
                                    I believe, you understand the importance of cooler in summer, so I would request you to rectify this issue as soon as possible or exchange the product, which one is faster.

                                    Symphony Comfort System / Air Cooler — Very Poor Services

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I had purchased a Symphony cooler last year on 26th May 09. THe same had defective panel and after a lot of persuance, it was replaced in more than 2 months time till which time I couldn't use the same. To compensate the same extended warranty was given for 6 Months. Now since 13th May 10, the water pump stopped working. The service centre is not registering the complaint and services are not being provided despite repeated complaints. After trying several times, I could speak to their service engineer and he assured of rectifying the problem. But now again he is not responding (hardly ever picks the call). Please look in to the matter and get the problem rectified. 2 mails regarding the same have already been sent to symphony's service department to no avail. Customer it seems is helpless with Symphony.

                                      I purchased Symphony Jumbo Jr.Air Cooler through Venkateshwara,Agent by calling him on phone who supplied me from Shri Laxmi Enterprises directly by Auto Riksha for which I pain an amount of Rs.4800/-. On 9-4-10 the above machine started giv ing many problems such as overflow of water in the middle of night, no cooling, big sounds from the fan of cooler and getting suddenly stopping the machine. Also there is crack in the body of the cooler. This problem is repeated to number people right from shopkeeper, then Shri Venkateshwara,Agent.Service Incharge Shri,Kiran, Navin, Anil,also Shri Madhu Executive etc. Everyone is promising me that Mechanic will visit tomorrow but till date tomorrow is not come and no one is attending and and even after paying the above amount I have to face the hot season. No one is taking any care of my complaint and I am helpless as I am staying about 8 Kms away from the shop in Hyderabad. Very strange to receive a reply from the Shri Madhu, Executive that there are number of complaints and I have to comein queue. I feel I made a mistake to purchase the above machine and if this is the fate of service at the first instance I do not think that there will be any further service is expected. This is very big renowned Company but very poor in providing service to the customer. In future I will not purchase this product and also will not allow to my fellow friends and relatives to follow the same.

                                      I hope on reading my complaint a prompt action will be taken. In this connection I want a fresh piece of Symphony Jumbo Jr. Air Cooler or I may please be refunded my money spent by me after taking back the defective piece I am holding unused since 9-4-10 till date.

                                      This cooler (JUMBO JR) is not worth buying even at 1500/-...i am frustrated that i paid 5000/- for this piece of plastic. Well what can you do with a cooler which claims a 22lit water capacity but water lasts only 1 hr. also the water motor starts making a noise even when the water level indicator shows half tank full. As far as cooling is concerned it is similar to a pedestal fan, so i should have bought that instead. Well i usually don't write reviews on internet...but i am writing this review within less than 24 hrs of purchasing a product...if you want to understand the reason for this, then only you should buy this cooler, otherwise don't waste your money on this

                                        I am a Symphony Air Cooler customer of product model Jumbo. I purchased the cooler on 12th April 2010. The motor of the cooler is not working from 14 April 2010 onwards. I have registered the complaint in symphony customer care and calling to the customer care Hyderabad number but they are not picking the call even the head of Hyderabad service center is not responding. I have been following it up on a daily basis (6-7 times in a day) but nobody has turned up till now.

                                        I too regret buying symphony winter air cooler at double the price as compared to otger non-branded coolers. Symphony service is the worst i ever encountered in my life. I registered a complainwith their customer care care center on 14/05/2011. Till 15/05/2011 i made them nearly 100 calls and everytome i was told that the technicianis on the way n he will reach in 10 mins. I beleved them n waited. But no body came n i was asked to camtact another no [protected]. He also promised me same thing that the man is on the way n he will reach soon. But nobody came. Then i was asked to contact another no [protected] (jagdishbhai). He aldo repeated the same story for nearly ten calls of mine.i strongly believe a game was being played with me i dint know why. Thenon 15/05/2011 after repeayed calls to various nos [protected], [protected],[protected], [protected] i was given another no that was of the technician Mr Jay [protected]. He was the guru of all of his seniirs. He accepted the call n did not even bother to talk. Anyone can imagine what pain does that cause especially if i called him atleast 20 times. Becos he was the one who was finally goin to do it. But all these effort n all these calls were in vain. I wonder how this company survived this long fooling customers like us. I wish them a very bad luvk n regret my decision of buying a symphony air cooler. I would have been better of if i had bought a local cooler cos i would hav save more than half the money n would hav got a better service cos being local sellers these ppl want to maintain customers. Atleast i wouls not hav been taken on a ride like these symphony ppl have done to me. I m so angry with them cos my 6 month old baby cannot sleep in this hot climate. N i told these ppl also the aame thing but they r all heartless ppl.
