I had taken a Tata Docomo SIM in June, 2010 and submitted the documents then to activate the connection. Then my application was accepted and my number [protected] was activated. However, in Dec 2011, I received an SMS from Tata Docomo saying that the documents I had submitted initially were invalid and I was asked to resubmit the documents. I did so and was assured that this thing will not happen in the future. But then again, on 2nd May, I received another notification to submit my documents again even though the details and documents I had provided were valid and correct. Its like we have to keep submitting the documents again and again to be subscribed to the connection. This is really frustrating and annoying and is degrading the brand of Tata Docomo in the eyes of the customers. I called Customer care thrice. First two times, they assured me that my connection would be reactivated within 6 hrs. But nothing of that sort happened. Instead, my number was altogether disconnected from service. Due to some emergencies, I was out of station and could not submit the documents to keep the connection on. I had assured the Customer Care guys that I would resubmit the documents upon my arrival in Bangalore, if required, by Tuesday but no action was taken for the same and my number was disonnected from service. I missed many official calls because of this. Also, I had around Rs. 150 in the number [protected] which again has got lapsed.
I had registered a complaint #495419 for this. However, I havent received any response from Tata Docomo and already 7 days have passed since I registered the complaint.
This is indeed very frustrating and customer's requests are not being catered to properly. And this is diminishing the image of Tata Docomo. In my case, I would like the balance (around Rs. 150) in my account to be refunded back to me before the service was disonnected. Please reach out to me incase of any queries.
