I am currently using the Tata photon plus wireless broadband service which promises a speed upto 3.1Mbps.I am using this service in Old Rjendra Nagar,Delhi(110060). I am getting a very objectionable and a cumbersome speed accruing to my frustration. The speed I get is about 200kbps contrary to a promised speed of 1Mbps(avg). I have made many complaints on the customer care numbers ([protected], [protected]) which i have become familiar to more than my own cell number by now. Exasperated from frequent calling I was promised a call back and a technical executive to my place which never happened.Such a chicanery by a reputed company like TATA is unexpected. I wish my complaint will not go unheared to lose faith in the services and the problems redressing agencies. My details are as mentioned below:-

    Hi Sir,

    I have purchased Tata photon+ from TCS Solutions on last Saturday. The executive told me your internet account will be activate with in 12 Hrs.

    Today is Tuesday but my account is still not activated.

    Even I had talked to customer care also they told me it will take two more days.

    Speed of product is also my big concern the company marked on product that it will provide a 3.1 mbps speed but they are not able to provide me more than 0.5 mbps which was checked during the installation time by executive.

    Please do the needful.

      PLS SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

        I paid the monthly bill to the authorised shop in East Patel Nagar on time. However the shop refused to give the receipt. I approached them after two days again but he not only refused but told me not to come to his shop if receipt is required.

        I did complaint to TATA Photon thrice. First time they contacted but did not resolved. I got the message complaint has been resolved without anyone interacting with me or giving me the receipt.

        If I have paid the money , I shold be given receipt.

        Strict action should be taken against the shop keeper and TATA Photon

          Tata Photon Plus is really bad choice at least for pune area. I bought this 4 months back when i checked initially it was giving me speed of 10 to 20 kbs. When i call custmer care they told me its problem in pune area & we will resolve soon. After 4 month speed is still same & custmer care is saying still the problem is there & they have dead line next one month, very disgusting. Requesting to all pune folks don't buy TATA Photon Plus.

          I am facing the same problem in Pune Area. It has very very low speed. The download is happening at the rate of 3-4 Kbps. Tata Photon+ is even worse than a BSNL Dial up connection. Please do not buy it whatever may be the need.
          I am also facing the same problem in Pune Area. Requesting to all PUNE folks don't buy TATA Photon Plus at all.
          more worse problem had with me. after lot of complaint they even not respond quickely...and they made my bill outstanding amount rs.5200 and they stopped connection.. after one month calling again and again they gave wavier of @ rs.4300 (telling me that they done fabulus job to find the problem...worst scenario..)/...i never expected from tata indicom...so kindly request you all to dont take tata photon plus in pune, maharashtra (other states i dont know.)...

          but tata lost their reputation ...and i just say to them...go to hell tata..i will go with another provider (after using urs pathetic service...)

          dont take tata photon plus...please...wrost service provider...worst customer care persons...
          I have also suffered same torcher from Tata Photon Plus.

          An agent from Tata Photon plus Mr. Mahesh Baiche provided us prepaid connection by taking RS 3000 which is not working since last 1 month we called him many times. Initially he told photo proof's (husband's) copy is blur...then I handed over my proofs also... Now he has our photos and proofs with him...On Saturday 30th July 2011when I called in the morning then his answer was "I'll tell you in 10 mins" and with the same answer he had wasted our whole day.

          Really customer service of tata indicom is pathetic.One should not go for it ...

          this is forTata Photon puls customer care-
          You are thinking, A customer does not make any difference ...but guys ...keep in mind ...A happy customer tells 10 more;however unhappy 25...

            I am Ranjith and I have Tata Photon Plus connection with number [protected]. This is regarding the billing for October which got generated on 5th of November. If I add up the daily usage given in my
            tata indicom account online, it sums up to 9403 MB which is well below the 10GB limit. But the bill got generated saying I used 11900 MB saying I need to pay an excess of 1000 Rs than whay I pay everymonth because I crossed the 10 GB limit. I have the screenshots which indicate exactly how many MBs of data I used everyday. I have been making calls on phone and the complaints move to resolved state when I myself am not satisfied did not close the issue.

            First complaint ID[protected] I got a call from customer service executive named Vamsi who had absolutely no understanding of what my problem was. He was talking about last bill which was already paid and I had no issues with. When I mentioned I had issues with this month's bill, he quietly closed the issue saying you need to send a mail to
            Customer.[protected]@tatatel.co.in, Customercare.[protected]@tatatel.co.in From that day all my mails to these email ids are bouncing.

            Second complaint ID[protected] Asked for an itemised bill so that I could match it with the screenshots that I have. He had sent an itemised bill indication minutes and not data usage. I asked him I need itemised bill indicating how many MBs of data I used on a day to day basis. He says they do not have it. Ridiculous, I have data from my login from their website and now they say they cannot get the same data. They closed this also saying itemised bill was given to me.

            Third complaint ID[protected] A a customer care executive called up saying because you have been complaining continuously, we will reduce 500 Rs from your bill and he cannot reduce 1000 Rs. I argued a lot but he would not agree. I asked him name and he did not give me his name. He says a new bill will be generated in a day reducing 500 Rs and closed the complaint ID. No new bill, it's been 6 days now.

            Called up again today - They have no history of what happened all these days and I have to re-sayyyy everything again and a fresh complaint was taken. I am sure they will say some other story tomorrow and close that as well.

            Do we call this customer service? I have high regards for Tata because I believed they follow ethics but these acts are making me think otherwise. Doing all this it has taken 15 days now, wasting all my precious time. The due date of the bill is 21st of this month.

            One more thing, for every complaint they say you can contact Nodal officer Mr. Dheeraj Chatlanion [protected] if you are not satisfied with the closure of the complaint. If I call him, the call gets accepted with a fax machine kind of noise and no response from the other side.

            I have taken the photon plus 6 months back. First month the billing was okay. I opted for 1800 minutes plan. Religiously I have using the limit of 1800 minutes every month. First of all they do not provide the detailed bill those who do not notice the login details taken for a ride. They have charged me for the unused units which I disagreed with them. They keep sending the mails and calls with out addressing our real issues. If you have time and extra money do some charity work which will give you mental satisfaction. The system is not at all transparent. You will not get revert from the Nodal officers and do not expect them to take your calls as well. We should collectively bring them into the public forum. After the continuous follow up and and firm decision I had received call from the billing department & got the bill waived off for the unused units. Second month also I had the the same scenario. Waiting for this issue to be resolved. Think twice before you opt for the Tata Photon Plus. That is my advice.

            I purchased a Tata Photon plus USB port from Tata indicom galary Mumbai(Borivali-East) branch.At the time of purchase they told me it will take 10 minutes to activate but 48 hours has gone but still they have not activated my USB port.Now they are not picking the phone also.I request all the readers of the site not to go for any Tata product.Because simply they are useless & the brand itself is stands for bugus.
            I am in complete agreement with you as I faced the same problem 2 months ago. The tata photon service is the worst in the market. Dont let them eat your hard earned money and lets pledge them to teach a lesson. I know that its diffcult to sue them and waste our time but what we can do is ask our family and friends not to use tata photon connections. Load all the social networkign sites with your issues so that a real face of tata could be shown to the people.

            Dont ever buy a tata photon connection.

              I bought Tata photon plus connection from DIGITECH BTM BANGALORE. I submitted all the documents before diwali 5/Nov/2010. I got the photon device two days late and then after activation it got disconnected after 2 days i.e. 12/Nov/2010. I complained and found that document did not get submitted.
              I called them so many times but still today is 17/Nov/2010 I can not find my connection to be working.
              When I asked that I want to return back the device they refused to take that back.

              I will never like to go for any TATA product from today onward and would never like to go to DIGITECH SHOWROOM BANGALORE, BTM,

              It was a worse experience for me.

                sir, the company has wrongly, deducted usage of 3.5GB. from my TATA PHOTON PLUS prepaid account. my tata photon no is [protected].
                the sends usage balance and validity/next recharge date in from of SMS daily, three sms are sent to all prepaid customers. i bought the service on 5th sep 2010. i did not receive the sms for ten days, after many reminders, i could receive the sms.
                but on 8th oct, the sms again stopped, i complained at the toll free no. given by the company [protected]. on 9th oct, the customer care executive Ravi, guided (misguided) me to nodal officer Nirlep Rawal whose office is at gujarat bhavan, ahmedabad.
                the company did not resolve my complain till 8th nov.on 8th nov, i went to their office, where nirlep rawal, did not meet me, some pooja ringwala, misguided to pooja kamat (when i asked for the complain book). pooja kamat does not have time to meet customer, some deviyngi, comes and gives me the visitors book to write my complain. when i object and ask for complain book i was told that there is no complain book in the office, i was given a blank peice of paper, to write my complain.
                finally after much efforts when i received sms on 9th nov(31 days after lodging the complain on 8th oct. ) the message, gives the wrong information about my usage balance, it should have been 3.5 GB. but the message shows some 240 MB.
                the company does not take the blame for their empolyee's inaction for 31 days.
                and has refused to return my usage balance.
                i hope i will get justice from you. awaiting your action/response/reply.

                I too have a tata photon plus connection at delhi, not received bill as well as the connection not working since one month, on enquiry was informed that I have to pay for the duration the connection not working plus other amount etc etc to get reactivated.
                I have not received any intimation on my email too.
                THE COMPANY TOO IS NOT BOTHERED
                Inefficiency followed by Goondagiri ?

                I wish to get it terminated as the situation / inefficiency will continue

                  This is a big disgrace for Tata services that they are cheating people by making fake advertisements and promises.
                  I purchased a samsung frost free refrigerator on this diwali with which you are offering a scratch card for tata photon and tata whiz valid till nov 15th.
                  At the time of the purchase I was told by the retailer that i will have to call on one number(given on scratch card) and your executives
                  will come to our home to give us the modem(valid for 3 months with 10GB surfing+downloading) on payment of Rs.999/699.
                  But no one ever picks up the call on that number.I have tried calling for 1-2hrs continuously. I also went to 2 local retailers of tata but came empty handed.
                  I have faced a lot of problems and if i will not get my modem till 15th of November, i am going to sue your company.
                  I WANT MY MODEM AT MY DOORSTEP TILL 15TH NOV!!!!!
                  THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN and I AM NEVER GOING TO RELY ON TATA SERVICES AGAIN AND WILL TELL OTHERS ALSO
                  NOT TO PURCHASE ANY TATA PRODUCT.

                  One purchased Tata product (Tata Photon Plus) relying on the Tata brand name. I am sorry to say they don’t deliver as promised and close your complaints arbitrarily just after one call. I am sure these comments are not being monitored by someone who matters or is concerned. I wonder what Mr Rattan Tata will feel if he learns about the dismal condition of one of his enterprises. I think the notorious "Chatla Hai' attitude of India has caught up with the prestigious Tata Group. I hope this is not the beginning of the end of Tata Group in India. They might do better globally where they have ventured out, sick of Indian Public, its government and business attitudes.

                    I Siddharth Priye, the customer of TATA Photon+ Broadband Internet Service and My Product Number is [protected] and My Product Account number is[protected] want to launch complaint against the company and their product for their irresponsible behaviour and for not providing the proper service to their customer(i.e. me.).

                    I purchased the TATA Photon+ Broadband service product 21 days back and it's on my brother's name (i.e. Arun Nema), the problem we are facing is the low speed and charging for those services which the company didn't provided us. Before we complaint 3 times but still there is no response from the company or any other executive.

                    We talked to customer care and they are even not responding properly and many times putting our calls on hold or disconnecting them. The company is asking for renewal the connection, as it's only a month old. They are stating that we downloaded 13.5 GB data but when we are asking for report they are simply asking for paying the amount and then only they will give data to us.

                    I need to inform you that I got the unlimited plan worth Rs. 950/- in which I've freedom to download data upto 5 GB with the maximum speed of 1.25mbps but from the starting days only I'm getting the speed of (5-15) kbps and with that speed it is impossible to download 13 GB data within 20 days.

                    I noticed this to the customer care but they aren't helping me at all. The list of the customer care officers are as follows:

                        i m Rakesh from mobile store.we sold a tata photon to a customer & i would like to comlaint against wrong tarriff information given by tata photon leaflet.that leaflet says custome will get 10 GB data free on first FRC of rs.500,for a month we did that recharge & customer did not get that perticuler Scheme...Now Customer wants same scheme as given in advertisment...Kindly look into the metter and do the Needful ASAP...details are As below

                          Dear Sir,

                          I have a problem with the Tata Photon.this is the only one customer services,i have ever seen,such MisLeading/ Harassing worst customer(nuisance) service.i have been using this device from may 21st onwards.and till now i dint stay happy with this service even for a single month.i was charged illegally from the first month itself.
                          i bought the device for 2600/- & i was told to buy a 100/- card for a week to activate my connection.my plan was 500/-Rs for 30 hours in a month.i tried to use from 22nd ownwards and found the connection speed was shocking 150Kbps on my lap top.i raised a complaint after one week thinking that it will be because it might gradually comeup.and nothing happened.after 10days i gotto know that my connection got disconnected due to complete usage of my hours.but i knew that i dint use more than 12hours in that 10days.
                          i called customer care to seek help,i got to know that i got [censored]ed up when they explained how it works.and those never told me.
                          Here the senario-
                          U buy a device for 2600/-,and connection is for 500/- for 30hrs a month
                          buy a card for 100/-
                          u can use the card for 7days-no charges.

                          But your bill will start from the date that u got the connection and u r buying the card to [censored] your own becoz,bill would have been started while u were using the card,they will deduct 7 days from your 30days.so u have 23 days left in dat month.out of 23days,(means 1 Hour per day)i[censored] happen to use more than that in a day,ur every minute will lead you to get bankrupted.

                          still i used it for many months,spending 1150/- on 120Hrs/Month.i usually use for 70Hrs only.now my problem is inspite of paying so much at a very low speed,i was not informed that there is a unlimited usage for 950/- month.i asked concerned person and got to know that it will take another month to change the plan.so i dint pay my bill for that month.

                          last sunday i went to retailer to pay my bill-Mathikkare and i was told that i can pay for an year 7650/- unlimited,and he said he need to verify and will take some time.buy the time some uneducated (someone to collect money) who dosent know english-started disturbing me to the very end.he went to my house at 7.30 and started harassing my parents and talk some nonsense for not paying the bill which i have used,(Nothing to do with my parents).i doubt these tata people are hiring some roudies to collect money.and those people dosent listen to what we are talking/or the reason y i am keeping the bill without paying.
                          i have already saved many of my friends falling in to this trap(directed to Airtel/BSNL)
                          this connection and the people who work for this company will be paying for all these.i am now searching for a lawyer.please kindly advice me how i can lodge a complaint against all those who are related to this.

                            I am Yashbir Singh from village Kaluwas, P.O. and Distt. Rewari (Haryanan). i buy a tata indicom product Tata Photon whiz from A.M. Indicom brass market rewari at[protected]. But its not working properly so i complain their shop. they receive their data card with DAO at 16 Sep. 2010 but till date i donot get my data card after replacing. so now i want to refund my billing payment 350Rs. with my data card bill and claim
                            tata photon whiz is absolutely rubbish. Its plan costs around Rs 300/month and speed is 5 to 10 kbps in meerut.. whearas other mobile gprs plans of airtel, idea, aircel, bsnl are much better with same speeds and costs around Rs 98 per month. So tata photon whiz is good for nothing.

                              I pursed tata photon plus for 2400/- an they told me that speed will be upto 1.5mbps...its far away thing to reach but if i get 500kbps then also i would have very happy in it but this 500kbps also is so means so far away...i just get 10to15 kbps downloading speed...an when i call customer care they also ways promise they will solve my problem an give complaint number now i have more than 20complaint numbers with me but then also i m facing same problem an i m paying 750/-rupee per month an if they giving so poor service then they have to close their service an close fake promises too...i have attached some speed checked of tat photon plus please check that...my tata photon number is ------[protected]

                                My name is Jeethesh. II took tata photon Whiz connection on February 22, 2010 ([protected]) and recharged three times. The last recharge done on May 28, 2010. Now i tried to recharge my connection and but it has failed. The local shop person told me that your tata photon connection is disconnected.

                                My usb stick model is Huawei EC121 and i paid almost 2000 rupees for the connection. Now i am totally disappointed with the tata service because i called customer care too many times but i did not get any proper response. Now the stick totally dead and no worth for my money.

                                SIR, I HAVE BOUGHT A TATA WHIZ DEVICE FROM BABA TELECOM,CHANDI DAS MARKET IN DURGAPUR BUT IN TIME OF BUYING HE(SHOP KEEPER) HAS NOT TOLD ME THAT THE DEVICE WILL BE DEACTIVATED FOR NOT RECHARGING IT WITH ANY RUPEES IN THREE MONTHS.NOW IT IS DEACTIVATED AND THE PROVIDER,SHOP KEEPER IS SAYING ME THAT I HAVE TO THROWN OUT MY 1830/- RUPEES'S DEVICE AND IT CAN NOT BE RE ACTIVATED.SIR I HAVE BROWSED ONLY FOR ONE MONTH AND IT IS DE AVTIVATED AFTER THREE MONTHS.WHAT CAN I DO NOW?                                 Still they are asking continuously for the bill payment.

I have to work from home some time .so I have purchased TATA PHOTON+.I am struggling from last 1 week ,called customer care dealers hundred times but still got no proper response from them . Even the Nodal officers do not give a satisfactory response. I think TATA telecommunication have hired Primary class passed officers(bunch of jokers )they don’t know even how to talk with their customer. I have appealed and posted my pain and anguish on my company’s INTRANET.
                                  SHAMELESS TATA PHOTON can do anything to sell their devices .From last 1 week i have faced many problems due to their false promises .Even I have disconnected my earlier Net connection.

                                  Same is the problem with Tata indicom broadband.They have suspended my account with out any reason.When I raised a complaint The customer care executive says that they will not be able to provide me the service any further, and asked me to switch to some other service provider.

                                        I got the tata photon plus activated on 5th of Oct. Since then i have been facing issues with the speed. I purchased this connection as i have to work on VPN and need to connect to databases remotely when working from home.

                                        With the kind of speed that i am getting , i am not able to perform anything. I need atleast 1 mbps speed for this connection to be workable.

                                        I bought photon plus as they promised a speed o[censored]pto 3.1 mbps. But i am getting only 300kbps. which is not worth what they are charging for.

                                        I have raised 2 tickets with their customer support and two with their nodal officers. But there is no solution to it. The worst part is all these ticket are closed without even notifying me and without giving a proper resolution to me, this is against

                                        Even the Nodal officers do not give a satisfactory response.All they do is to create a new ticket and that is it.
                                        Please raise my concern , i want to deal legally with them now.

                                        Tata Photon Plus — Very Poor Service

                                        The Service to Tata Futon Plus is very Poor, the charge is Rs. 1 per minute ( Rs. 60/-per hour ) after the package period. I suggest we should avoide the service of Tata Indicome.
