I have been using photon connection from the past one month, I was taken this connection in Pune and while taking the connection itself I confirmed that this device will be active in most of the places like (Mahabubnagar(AP), Bangalore, Hyderabad) ,but when i took this device to Mahabubnagar, network was showing full but i cant able to access any website, then i contacted customer care and they have taken complaint and told that this request will be resolved by next day i.e. 21st dec 2010. 2PM, i got a call from technician (his contact num: [protected]) but he could not able to provide solution to that and told that he will enquire for the same and get back to me, but no one has called me back and in Jan 2011 first week i got a call from customer care about this issue and by that time i am in bangalore, if they take such a long time how can i check?
Regarding very slow speed:
While taking connection I was been told that speed will be 3.1mbps but I could not able to open normal sites, it always gets disconnects, its very dead slow, when I contacted customer care for the same (complaint num:[protected] they told to check thru www.speeedtest.com, after checking repeated times by there technician it was showing from 260 to 380kbps download speed and once it went to 200kbps, they told we can provide minimum of 256kbps, if speed test site is showing above 256 kbps we cannot do anything, and he has taken screen shot showing 200kbps and told that he will update to technical department, later waiting for a week I have called up call center and asked about my complaint, she (Fara) coolly said that ur complaint is closed as the solution is provided, how can it, in 1 month I have never seen this device working fast at least once, some times it will be worst to open Gmail or yahoo, I could not able to open my office applications, mainly I have taken this device to use for my office work so that I can manage from home, seeing all this I have requested customer care to cancel my connection and asked for the refund of money but they denied saying that it is non refundable and cannot be paid back, its worst in speed.

Thanks for the sending your service person to my house to check my connection speed.
As expected, it was a useless visit.It did no help. The person did not find any fault in my system, which was his intention from the first minute, rather then finding out the problem and accepting the fault at Tata Indicom side.
According to him, if i am getting 500 Kbps, I am lucky. And during evening the speed will be merely 100-200 Kbps, as this is the best the i should expect.
Before sigining off this is what he said "Agar ek hi boat mein sabhi sawar hinge to boat kaise chalega..yeh to dube ga hi". And i think this explains the story and the bluff that the Tata Indicom is trying to sell.
For the last time,please justify why should i continue with the connection, if you can't tale down the disconnection request starting now.

Hi,
I am a Photon+ user from Kolkata West Bengal. Subscriber details are at
the end of this email.
Since last 6-7 days i am getting a very low speed. My current location is
FInland and my family is there in Kolkata. I normally uses the connection
for video chat with my family. I have 2 Mbps wired connection here in
Finland and the speed/bandwidth does not vary much.
The speed that I am getting in Kolkata is just 300-500 Kbps with a drop to
very low speed while in the call. The speed that i am getting is not good
enough for video call and even only with voice the audio is broken, delayed
and worth mentioning, frequent call drops.
Initially I thought this to be Skype (the software that i use to make a
audio/video call) but then GTalk or any similar software also has the same
problem
I tried making calls with the same softwares to my friends using other
broadband service in India and i didn't face the same problem.
Although my past experiences with Tata Indicom Customer Care is not so
sweet. But i would like you to look into this problem and fix this, if at
all you can.
Just in case, you don't have any clue, as usual, please let me know, so that
i can put a formal disconnection request. This kind of crap connection is
not solving my purpose.
