Dear Sir,

I am a suscriber with TATA Sky, Sub ID [protected]. I have a free Subscription right now, They had disconnected some channels and asked for money, Though I had free subscription I have paid the money since I wanted to watch some live sports. They connected the channels and paid back the money into my account apologising for their mistake, again thesechannels are missing.

To make a complaint you
have to make an STD call and wait for at least 10-15 minutes for thie associate to answer you. I have mailed them, Though the auto response mail says I will be answered in 48 hours, No body has bothered to answer me for more than a week. I have also complained on phone, Complaint no. 1-[protected]. They assured me some one will call me with in 24 hours, It is 2 days now and nobody has called me.

I am not intrested in their service anymore but they can't take me for granted by taking my money and not giving me promised service. I don't want oters to suffer the same way so Plz suggest what i need to Do?

    Your mechanic came to my house and gave TATASKY connection on 7 JUNE.
    According to Mr.Sagar-the mechanic we have recharged Rs 300/-
    but still i'm getting many sms and calls to pay the installation charges otherwise my cable connection will be discontinued from today midnight i.e 9 JUNE 2008

    PLEASE SUGGEST ME MY RESPONSIBILITIES

      I have been trying to contact the helpline.. my id [protected]. tatasky connection is not working. I am in Press and will hit the TV channels by Friday if dont get the response. Pls ask the company technical person to contact asap

        Tata sky has strategically started playing with subscription packs that mislead customers. they started selling base packs all or pre-defined channels earlier. now they are stripping selective channels from the base packs into Gold packs like Sports Gold, Lifestyle Gold etc. at separate prises in addition to the price of base packs. this type of gimmick is negatively impacting customer's faith in expecting fair service offering from tatasky in future. if this continues, i would prefer going back to the cable operator..I will be forced to take help of media so that no other consumer will get deceived by tata products .in future

        after much effort to resolve the tatasky problem, one person contacted by phone for rectifying the problem; eventhough it was mentioned as free service, he is demanding rs;150/ as visiting charges; otherwise i don't know how for i have to wait to get a real free service to rectify the problem.

          Yesterday I have purchaed a Recharge Voucher for Rs.300 from a shope in Chennai India and after scrating the PIN, I sent sms through my Registered Mobile Number to 56633. Insteed of credit reply, I got the follwing msg:
          " THE RECHARGE PI YOU HAVE ENTERED HAS ALREADY BEEN USED. CALL OUR HELP LINE".
          I called the help line(almost all the line) provided by TATASKY but no operater is anwered.
          yesterday is the last day for renewal the subscription(06.06.2008). I have my doubt that any FAKE RECHARGE VOUCHERS IS ONE THE RUN ACROSS THE COUNTRY? IF SO, WE, AS A CITIZEN DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO BY A GENUIN RC VOUCHER... Kindly bring this to incident to top officials of tatasky. Ofcourse they be helpful in this problem. I have a receipt of RC voucher purchased from the shop in chennai. KINDLY HELP TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

          I am getting error Message " Please insert DIGICARD or Customer care for help" I called to customer support, I did as they instruct me to do but it didn't work then my phone got disconnected . Now it's over 10 days i am not getting any channels.

          Tata Sky — Not getting Bonus Voucher for Recharge

          I have purchased Tata Sky three month back at that time they are giving me promise to give Rs.99 recharge voucher free for 10 months and they charged me Rs.2, 100, but still I have not received same. In retain shop the price is Rs.1, 500.

            The customer care from Tata Sky is worst. It took 16 minutes to register a change in packages.

            The executives dont even know what packages they have and what to do further with the needs of the clients.

            Also website is damn slow, even to recharge the account.

            To the management of Tata Sky. If you want loyal customers to stick with you, kindly improve the efficiency of your website and customer care, else witness your downward curve.

            The website is damn slow...

            Its pretty clear that this has nothing to do with my internet connection, other websites loads well at the same point of time, but tatasky website... yukk, takes almost 10-15 minutes to get the glimpse of the website. Not to mention I have a 2 MBps connection.
            I have Tata sky connection since last three years.

            I have got transfered from Gandhidham, Gujarat. and got installed the Digicom by your authorized person and payed for the installation for the same and within two months i made a complain for the signal problem as it starts raining i have re complained against the complain no I[protected] on Dated 30/6/2009 that my signal quality was not so good to give the proper signal to operate the Digicom but the Engineer was send on 1/7/2009 before that i told clearly that i will not make the payment for the installation as this is the case of improper installation. at your end as the signal clarity was low at the time of installation it was around 20 ~ 25 on the screen when when checked the signal quality in signal testing system setting.
            As i am from the electronics field and i am working in field of PCB manufacturing from last 18 years.
            Please clarify the matter of charging double installation charges for one installation as the installation was not done properly and for rectifying the same i was charged two times and which was debited from my recharge directly without my consent which is wrong and should be refund immediately

              I wish to lodge a complaint against tatasky. In January 2007, I purchased the subscription at Rs. 400 per month (for two set top boxes). The subscription included All sports channels including (Neo Sports, ESPN, Neo Sports Plus, Star Sports etc.). Now, after an year and a half, they have started two new add-on packages Sports Gold and Sports Platinum for which I need to pay effectively Rs. 45 extra. What tatasky is doing is charging more for same base channels, thus looting the public. Morover, for every new channel they are charging extra, which is not what they guaranteed when they first started the service. I request a consumer organisation to intervene and take necessary steps against Tata Sky.

                This week (1st June 2008) I came to know that tatasky has revised their packages and I wanted to change to a lower package and I have been trying their helpline[protected] since 2nd June 2008 and though I'm able to go upto the menu and choose options there after a recorded message about one of their product comes repeatedly at the cost o[censored]s -- I'm charged for the long unending wait time.

                This is happening for 4 days and today 6th June 2008, I was trying again and things have not chaged. I'm unable to change from higher package to lower package and tatasky would be deducting an higher amount.

                This is a delibrate attemp to extract money from customer without allowing consumer to change by not providing proper service.

                I want Tatasky to refund the money they would deduct from 1st June until they rectify this problem.

                Exactly this thing happened with me..last month i bought tatasky..initially i opted for super saver pack that comes 260 rs a month..but now frm this month(aug 1) i wantet to move to the scheme of 200 rs per month but i am unable to change it..tatasky claims that u can log into my tata sky account to change the package or add add on packages..so i logged in..to my astonishment they have the option for adding packages but not for changing basic package..if they cant serve customer through website then what is the meaning to create such website??..this is not the end...there i got to know i have to call their customer care to change my package..i did so...i kept holding the line for more than 20 mins but no customer care officer turned up..meanwhile it made a hole in my mobile balance as they even dont have a toll free customer care service...all these things mean they are intentionally cheating the customers...this is the worst service they are offering to the customers..i dont know whether i wll be able to change my package or not..very disgusting and disappointing...

                Tata Sky — AVOID AT ALL COSTS

                Tata Sky !! You can see only the empty sky no stars, moon or sun either !All hopeless channels which no one wants to watch are included in the basic pack . Every thing else is add on extra cost. When you try to surf the channels be prepared to see the standard message on most places... TO VIEW THIS CHANNEL CONTACT CUSTOMER CARE HELPLINE!!! Means that you have to shell out extra for each channel EVEN if the channel is aired free by the respective owners.Practically all watchable channels are out of reach for the basic user, even news channels are in the pay channel slowly one by one the channels vanish from the open category.Soon you will have a day when ASTHA, GOD TV etc will be available free and all channels will be pay extra channels. I have stopped using the service and have gone back to my old cable operator who atleast shows me 99% of the channels for almost Rs 220 only!
                I thought Tata was an reliable company but they also have joined the list of companies which are shortchanging the Indian customer.AVOID AT ALL COSTS !Nothing JINGALALA only they( TATA SKY OWNERS) are singing it not the customer. They think that once the customer pays 3000 rupees he/she will be the slave for a life time.

                We subscribed to tata sky in June 2008. They only suggested the south jumbo package (310 per month) which was having almost all the channels. sports, south, hindi etc etc. But from october they revised their package and now no sports channel is available, not even star sports and espn. I called help line number and the customer executive said that i can only add more money to add more packages. I asked for changing the package and add sports to that. But they are extreeeeemly sorry and would not allow to change the package. this is absurd. Tata sky sucks...

                I purchased Tata Sky probably in August 2008 with one year subscription and since then I am usuing it without any issue, but since yesterday I am experiencing an issue.
                When I turn on my Tata Sky a message is appering, that This Digicard is Unauthorised though I paid for a full year.

                I have also have same problem. As in Tatasky web site there is option for add on packages, there should be also option for deletion/change of packages. But it is not there and also they are not responding.

                Hence Tatasky is requested to resolve this problem at the earliest.

                I have recharged my tata sky on 20.5.2009 with Rs. 200/- . Today i.e. after 20 days only I got SMS that my account is due.

                I was under Rs. 200/- per month package since last over one year.

                In between from Jan to April 2009 I had gone abroad.

                I should be given another 10 days to complete the month for which I paid.

                The service of tatasky to improve otherwise the name of tatas is undermined.

                After doing repeated calls to service provider, nobody turned up to see the complaint.Instead of polite words of saying they're unable to rectify the problem immediately, I've to hear harsh words & still nobody turned up from early morning to night.Such service providers are giving bad reputation to a big organization like TATA's, and needs to be changed at earliest.

                Advise your service engineer to attend as tata sky is not working for the last four days and i am unable to contact because of the above problem.

                i had lodged a complaint on 09.02.2010 regarding problems with the black top box.your service mechanics Mr.AJIT AND Mr Praveen came to my residence on 10.02.2010 to attend the problems and they wanted to replace the black top box with a repaired and old white top box with absolutely no assurance when a new black top box will be supplied.Alternatively, I requested them to replace the defective black top box with the used white top box and let the defective black top box be with me till such time a new black box is supplied by the company.on the advice of one Mr Rajesh, THEY refused the same and started misbehaving with me.Mr Praveen was using unprintable language The same has been brought to the knowledge of SH.ALI on 10.02.2010.

                PATHETIC, MIND NUMBING, IRRITATING, ^*(@&%&%# ALL SERVICE - AND YOU THOUGHT TATA MEANS TRUSTWORTHY??!! FORGET IT!

                We paid a huge sum to get an life plan package under annual plan. 6 months later half the channels disappear and we are harassed by robotic that repeat the same answer when you ask why. So we go and cancel the subscription 3 months before the actual deadline. STILL, more than 1 year after we cancelled, these keep calling us and telling us that payment is overdue!!

                The last call centre buffoon when told that we were waiting for someone to take back the satellite dish rudely told us, "THAT'S NOT YOUR PROBLEM. DISH HAMARA PROBLEM HAI AAP MAGAJMARI MAT KARO". This 6 months ago.

                What attitude!! They DO think that once the customer pays he/she will be their slave for a life time.

                Today AGAIN we get a call stating our payment is overdue??!!

                TATA SHOULD SHUT DOWN ALTOGETHER AND SPARE US THEIR STUPID "SERVICE"

                help line number of TATA SKY ...but no one responding..from last 2 day's my TATA SKY is not working...and there is no one is willing to take the complant..

                This is very poor service...
                I'm too the sufferer since 15 days tatasky is not at all working properly. Picture quality is very poor, pixels blurring, installing and finally digicomp does n't get any signal. Calling to custormer care is of no use as the associate picks up the phone after 3-4 minutes of waiting/holding and by the time i explain my complaint to the associate the call gets completed and problem remain unsolved. I've called almost 20 times to resolve my problem but all the associates reply in the stereotype manner. Complete procedure to reslove the problem is a waistage of time and earn a headache for oneself. I'm opting now to go to consumer forum for the complaining the same by quoting all the complaints I've done so far. First time I' m so much frustrated by Tatasky service that I'm planning to opt another DTH. It has to improve its customer care efforts for best satisfactory level of its customers. Its a big name with the worst customer care and servicing procedures.

                The TATA's carry a very respectable name in this country and now across the world. I was amazed by reading the numbers and types of complaints as given here. Sad as all our leading institutions are crumbling one after another.
                tata sky service sucks.
                they are cheats. they keep changing the plans, packages n their costs in the middle without informing their subscribers as per their whims and fancy.
                i've had a few words with them when they increased the cost of all packages a few years ago-they are OUTRIGHTLY cheating consumers.
                now i wanted to unsubscribe from the add on ten sports and i find tht in the middle of all this, WITHOUT INFORMING, they have increased their min subscription period for add ons to 90 days. which means i have to pay EXTRA 50 rupees just because THEY decided to implement this rule in the middle of subscription without informing subscribers.

                Respected Sir,

                I am Parul Goyal who has Installed Tata Sky just because of Tata’s Name and market credibility and good After Sales Service Support.

                As you are also aware that your competitors are offering much more at less prices but still I opted for Tata Sky because of above cited reasons.

                With heavy heart I am writing to you that a complaint was registered and more than a week has passed and you are unable to rectify the problem.

                My Tata Sky ID No. is [protected], Registered Mobile Number [protected], Alternate Mobile Number [protected]. A complaint was registered on 22 November 2010. Your Engineer Mr. Aakash Pant Visited our residence dated 23 November 2010 whose Mobile No. is [protected] & [protected]. He conformed that
                Set Top Box/ Digicom is under warranty and needs to be replaced. He promised to replace on 24 November 2010 but never turned up nor picking up phone.

                Please note that it is under Warranty and you promise rectification within 48 hours of complaint.

                Daily I am talking to a new Tata Sky person and first of all I have to hold for 15 minutes listening to your music. Every time I have to explain the problem to new Tata Sky person picking up phone. It is a paid call and since last one week I have called 18 times and call duration is at least 30 minutes.

                Your helpline is waste and not at all responding. please inform me whether you are interested in helping to solve the problem or to charge extra amount on telephone bills besides not attending by your service engineer.

                I am unable to view Tata Sky since last nine days and I have six months subscription. I want the days to be credited into my Account which I have lost because of your Inability to provide service.

                I also want the Set Top Box to be replaced immediately and sort all other problems to enable me to view the Tata Sky uninterrupted.

                My family is having lot of problems as they are unable to view their favorite channels and missed their serials and lost continuity. It is a great loss.

                I am fed up with the Quality of Services provided by you and want that You take away Dish, Set Top Box, Cable and return all my money I have paid to you.

                Now I do not want Tata Sky.

                You are also requested to forward the name of the Manager and your address to whom a legal notice can be served as I am a lawyer.

                I BOUGHT A RECHARGE VOUCHER FOR TATA SKY BUT WHEN I WAS CALLING THE HELPLINE NUMBERS RECIEVED ON OUR TATA SKY THE EXECUTIVES WERE NOT GIVING RESPONSE FOR MY CALL.
                I REQUEST INDIAN CONSUMER COMPLAINTS TO TAKE AN ACTION ON TATA SKY.
                In spite of recharging the DTH via on line recharge through credit/debit card and even after 24 hrs of waiting, the service was not resumed. The precautions of switching on the 'digicomb' has been clearly followed and hence it is suspected that there could be a communication failure / delay which 'TATASKY' should avoid in total so that there can not be any down fall in their market share due to stiff competition from the other such broadcasters in the field.

                Tata sky has the worst possible service. They keep charging for engineer visits, when the whole unit and remote is under warranty.Engineers do not come repair the dish, also replace the remote also promise us no charges are applicable.To our surprise we get a call from call centre stating our subsciption is due, before the due date, on verification we find that engineers visiting charges and remote replacement are charged.On complaining to Call center, executives simply tell they shall revert back.By calling them, Call center executive simply tell us in their polite manner that nothing can be done as the engineer has not informed the for waiver.They misuse our credit, since we have prepaid in advance for a year and debit charges, which are not known to us or for packages, which we have never opted .

                Most of the sports channels do not come even though we have subscribed to the full sports package, Like we got Neo sports during cricket world cup season and now it is England cricket tour on star sports, as usual the response is we cannot do anything about this.can we help you further...

                It is the most unethical, unprofessional company we have ever come across.                 I wrote to tatasky, dated 12. 11. 12, to upgrade my exhisting channels to new ones, i.e ENGLISH-movies, entertainment, news and knowledge, leaving my exhisting music and sport pack untouched.I also requested to add sony tv as a new addition.SURPRISINGLY THEY ADDED AND UPGRADED ALL THE CHANNELS ON THE SKY TV NETWORK (minus regional channels). Is it a 50:50 nexus between network service providers and tatasky? Because they advertise to add channels to 56633, for which you get a reply "service not available.Lot money is been generated/minute from all over india.
                I think you should contact Tata Sky customer service. They are quiet prompt in their reply and will help you out. It is more effective way of getting your work done.                   TATA Sky dropped abruptly DD Podhigai free to air channel recently. Complaints to help line is useless. I wanted to escalate to the Regulatory Authorities the arbitrary manner in which TATA Sky drop channels and betry customers. They promised certain content and we subscribed to them and bought the Box and wedded to this DTH operators. They have gone bad on their promise. WE TRUSTED TATAS FOR THE NAME OF TATA AND subscribed. Many queries to TATA SKY on the manner in which we can escalate to regulators fell on deaf ears. Can any one help with the manner in which I can escalate their improper behaviour.

                  Yes, I agree. I wish to escalate this matter as well as Tata Sky has abruptly stopped airing DD8, Sapathagiri, FTA channel. Pls help us in this regard.
                  Sometimeback, TATA Sky abruptly dropped DD Pothigai from its list of channels and I sent an e-mail to Tata Sky expressing my displeasure on their hasty decision and their preference to other channels as compared to National Channel like DD Pothigai which provides quality programmes in Tamil - a regional language with a hoary past and accorded the status of "Semmozhi". They were kind enough to restore DD Pothigai and this was also brought to the notice of DD Pothigai and they reported this in Ethiroli programme.

                    We have taken the TATA sky last year and from then later on some new channels that has been announanced are not available even though they are there at the TATA SKY menu but many channles like:-Bindaas, UTV movies, Neo sport, 9X, NDTV imagine etc are not available now.So could you please look in to the issue and provide proper services so that subscribers are least affcted.

                    I brought Tata Sky connection in May 2008 thru helpdesk but as per installer guy, it can't be installed on my house due to missing direction of signal.

                    I called helpdesk to cancel the order on 2nd June 2008. They told me to return the whole money and cancel the case within 5-10 days. But now, 1 month has been passed and no action has been taken from their side.

                    I called them 5 times but every time they keep me on hold and after that call disconnected automatically. It's very frustrating and disappointing.

                    Obviouslly if they didn't take action within next 15 days i have to go to Consumer court.

                    Reason for Disatisfaction: Due to some work I was out of town for last 7 days and didn't get time to recharge my account. When I was watching TATA sky it went off due to my failue to recharge it on time. I called up your Helpline to check if you can give me a grace for a single day to use TATA sky. I was AMAZED to know that this is impossible. Your customer service cannot allow me to use it for a single day! I know, I will go ahead and charge this tomorrow. However, I wanted to tell you that your company is Worthless, Hopeless and useless. I will ensure that I inform at least 100 people that you have such a pathetic incompetent customer service.

                    I understand that this is not possible as you told me this is done by a computer. However, this was my comansense as a customer that it would be possible. As I am working myself in a customer support. Also I have been a customer of AIRTEL for last 3 years 6 months. And they have always assisted me.

                    NOTE: I will escalate this to higher authorities up their in your hierarchy. To tell them they won't be able to live more on this company and will lose to this competitive market.

                      I have been using Tata Sky service for more than a year now and my current subscription that was taken more than 5 months back gets over on 1st July 2008. Am subscribed to the South Jumbo Pack @ Rs.350/- per month and the same expires on 1st July 2008. Under this plan am entitled to receive all the channels including ESPN and Star Sports. However now the company has removed the above channels and some more channels alongwith this stating that the plans have changed and i have to pay additional money for subscriptions of the said channels and even after sending the SMS for subscriptions the company has sent an SMS stating they are unable to complete the request and repeated call to the call centres are going unanswered.

                      This tantamounts to breach of contract and also abuse of consumer given the captive nature of the service. The channels have been withdrawn just before the Euro 2008 tournament intentionally to make ESPN and Star suffer the most irrespective of the duress caused to the customer.

                      Request that the Forum to direct TataSky to restore ESPN Star channels as per the contract entered into while subscribing to the said plan that is still active and also ensure that the company doesnot abuse and take advantage of the captive nature of the contract.

                      TATA SKY DTH SERVICE — LOUSY CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE

                      Tata Sky has become a service provider where helplines remain always busy and if somehow gets the line free after keep on trying for several hours, he/she can only listen recorded voice messages and nobody picks up the phone. Its a wastage of time and money.

                      Tata Sky DTH Service — unsatisfactory service and bad equipment

                      I subscribed to tata sky on 14th july 2008.initially it was working fine but on evening of 9th august 2008 i stopped receiving the signal.when i called the customer care they said it is because of the heavy rains and unfortunately the rains continued for 36+ hours continuously.Finally an engineer came to my place two days after i had registered the complaint.he changed the digicomp but still no signal!! So finally he told that there is a problem with the DigiCard and it has to be changed and for that they need two more days as the digicard is generated through a machine and that machine was not available with them in hyderabad, it was in bangalore!!! The problem was finally solved but it them 6 days to do it.
                      Now today, on 28 August, as soon as it started raining again the same message on the screen "NO SIGNAL"!!!
                      Again i have to go through the same long procedure.
                      i AM FED OF THIS TATA SKY!! I SIMPLY WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

                      Hi, I recently shifted from Hyderabad to Gurgaon, I was trying to their helpline numbers for more than a week to get the service re-installation, but the calls are attended only by the recorded messages, stating the call will be transfered to the associate but never it is answered by the associates, only music is heard. I lodged even a service query (Query no. SR[protected] in their website, which is also closed even before the problem is resolved. Im facing a great inconvenience because of this. I don't know what is happening.

                      The re-installation should be undertaken by the technician of the old area or in case you have transported the hardware you can allot a new technician to visit the place to complete the installation. There must have been a technical error due to which the agent might have not received the call after the IVR. I have had good customer service experience with their representative they have made timely arrival in case a tech visit was required you too should try to connect with their helpdesk once again and they will be able to send a technician to your new location and get your hardware installed. you could use the query details as your reference number in that case they will be able to pull up the case history and that will also save your time on call. Or else, you could also allot a tech visit from your new area local dealer.

                        For the last 5 days I have been trying to speak to their customer service team however, everytime you select an option in the IVR, the call gets transferred to a promo tape. It plays continuously. I am absolutely disgusted!! Pray, can anyone tell me, how does one get through to them????

                        I wished to watch a showcase movie at night, and i called up for registration. Customer care rep. asked me to send it through sms, which i did, bcoz of system upgradation. In reply I was asked to again contact customer care by phone. The representative asked me to wait for 2 hrs. I insisted that they shd have informed me about this thorugh their alert sytem and wanted to peak to their superior. Their superior was not even in a position to take a complain for this and kept the phone unanswered after speaking to me for a while. I again called up and spoke to Daniel John, special desk, superior, who also did the same thing and at the most helped me to give the helpdesk e-mail id to send a mail.

                        At that point of time i wanted to disconnect my subscription and get my as on date balance back but he said that it was not possible as per their policy.

                        Moral of the story : Once you subscribe to Tata Sky you are their, akind of employees, to work as per their policies.

                        I had bought a Rs. 350 package and was told that I would get the Zoom, NDTV Good Times and Bindass in the following package. I had also checked the pamphlet which is given to the Customers during the purchase. However 2 months later the Channel got locked and on calling the C Care they said that it was only an offer. It is frustating to deal with such cases.

                        I spoke to Sanjeev in the Hyd office and he is a TL he informed that it is all a paid channel.

                        This is the most embarassing thing to happen.

                        i bought a new connection of tata sky, i told them south jumbo pack but they activate the super value pack, i want to change the pack
                        I myself had similar experience this week when I ordered for Tata sky connection at Ranchi. After due response a representative was sent by one 'Sri Pankaj' to collect the charges, who left a box here. Nobody turned up to fix the same for 3 days despite reminders. On 4th day a mechanic (Subodh) came to fix it but only do so on his preferences, totally disregarding my requests. As his likings were not acceptable I had to turn him out . Now I have only one of the two choices left. To go on requesting /insisting on sending another person to fix Tata Sky properly, or to return the set/recharge voucher and get the money refunded. This is an indication how the after sales service of such a reputed company is going to be.
                        I made several calls on 09 Oct 08 to Helpdesk of Tata Sky. There was no one to pick up and answer my query. No Technical support. They proudly announce 24X7 Customer care. Their website crawls and could not register my complaint there.

                        Tata sky is a utter waste and I request people to evaluate their services before getting into a Tata Trap.

                        I had a problem with Tataskyr. The power supply was not coming to the receiver. I tried with my friends Tata sky adopter, that was also not working. I raised a compliant regarding this to Tata sky customer care. I told all the problem to the customer care person. one person came from Tatasky and he told me that the problem with Adopter. But I told I tried with my friends adopter also but it was not working . then that person told me that I will change the adopter next day because we don’t have a stock. I tried to explain his about the problem but he didn’t listen what I was telling. After that I called daily to customer care they were telling the same story raptly. i am waiting for last one week. they charged it when it was not working. My kind advice is don’t go with TATASKY. I received mesg to deposit money after 5 months(i.e. on 29/05/2010) and I deposited 800/- on 30/05/2010 while the subscription was upto July 2010. Why its is so??? Your staff Simran n Dimple said its your mistake, The customer has to inform duration of the package. where its written??? plz correct my account.
                        If some body have addresses of Tata Sky ( not PO Box type) please mail it to me. Tata Sky Ltd is using fraudulent practices and I am intended to file a complaint is consumer court. But none of the helpline receiver is giving me address to send a notice through Registered Post. On POBox registered letters can not be send.

                        So please mail me their address so that at least other subscribers will be saved from fraudes by the TataSky.

                          Hi,

                          Government should intervene immediately, This Tata sky is making fun of all the customers. They say every thing is for the benift of customer. i am residing at chennai, i have South Jumbo pack. i was getting all the channel for the monthly charges of 350rs. Now they advertise that they slashes the Package price to 310 from 350. but they have disconnected all the sports channels (Star Sports, Espn, Star Cricket & Ten Sports). Now we need to pay extra 55rs to get all these channels.

                          I believe that we need to pay 15rs more to view all this channels.

                          The most funny part of this issue is, when you ask the Customer Care executive, he will say all the customers are happy with the new package. it seems that they are convincing all the customer by saying this.

                          I would request Government to take a immediate step to stop this nonsence from this TATASKY...

                          Tata sky recharge coupons are not available in market. Agents are charging Rs 330/- for Rs 300/- recharge. I think tatasky doesn't paying any to agents. I request tatasky to pay something to agents/dealers so that they do not rob customers.

                            We are a subscriber of TATA Sky. We have a package of Rs 330 per month (Rs. 300 for a set of channels + Rs. 30 edu package). Few days ago, the telecast of sports channels and BBC were withdrawan without any prior intimation to us. It is clearly a breach of contract as the terms of contract was changed without informing us. Worse, my account status shows that we r being charged at the same rate as earlier. But what's most irritating is that when we want to speak to customer care, we r kept on hold and in the meanwhile an audio software keeps telling us abt their packages. I fail to understand why someone is doing publicity of its own programme, new launches etc. at our cost. This is clearly unethical business practice. By the way, such practices are now being adopted by most telecom service providers who wd put u on hold and do publicity of their products and services.

                            Very true! All consumers who have subscribed to their connection should unite and file a PIL against this Company.
                            i had installed tatasky connection on 14/082008 under the 1499 scheme which gives you one month subscription free. i charged Rs 300 to my account on 20/08/2008.on 02/09/08, 11.00 pm while we were watching watching a movie on HBO to our surprise the signal completeley failed and we saw a saw a message saying set top box unable to receive signall called up the call centre but there was no response . on 03/09/2008 registered complaint around 8.30am. and was given is1-[protected]. witin hours 2 guys came and attended the complaint and set it right witin minutes. on enquiring he said the problem was a minor adjustment .to my surprise today i get a alert showing a minus balance asking to recharge . on calling up the call centre
                            i was told Rs300 has been debited for the services attended on 3/9/2008.they say any physical damage to the dish does come in the warranty oeriod. for your information there was no physical damage and nobody has did anything to the dish and moreover no part was changed. this is day light robbery. what i cant understand is why you guys are not transparent in the name of service you simply rip off the cutomers i regret for having taking your connection and i will see that none of my friends or people known to me will take your connection.if such is your service sorry u will be losing lot of customers as otherplayers are into the field
                            i got the same problem, i asked my money back.they replied -" your money is jingala"
                            A part from this i bought 2 connection at the same time since Tata Sky introduced in inian market till date i've not given proper desired services from company even though paying highest amount of money with company norms if you compared in market. There is no choice at all in terms of packages, payments an all. No offices are avilable for their huge no of clients even in metro cities. How do customer can resolve their problems if their customer executives are not satisactory answering on Toll Free Nos.

                            Sometimes their dealers who are selling vouchers, recharge the coupens in other account instead me & there is no choice to correct the mistake. Noboy is even ready to answer for the same only they ready to say to buy new coupen. A part from this even though paying highest amount of money as compared to other DTH servicing companies we're getting less channels which is not desirable.
                            As i was outside of my home town i couldn't recharge last week so i recharge my account yester @ night but its not started yet in fact my digicom is on. So tell me what's the matter that even though it's more than 15 passed away but i'm not getting services even at the same time you'll charge me for both the day. Today any how i want my Tatasky turned on. As per your norms you'll deduct 3 days gress period from my current recharge not more than that if i'm not getting services from you end.

                            Simply i feel like i'm wasting my to much money by becoming existing geniune customer of Tata Sky since long, this is what "REWARD" company gave me.

                            Hi Mr.Suresh Babu,
                            Customer care is one of the best point of contact for query and grievance. Did your STB require a replacement and was it out of warranty?. Tech-visit is always charged by all DTH and in case of acknowledgement that you require a new STB then you would have been charged not otherwise!
                            Upto voice confirmation you must have been charged 50/- but if the issue required a tech-visit it must have been charged or else you will not be charged unnecessarily. In case the amount has been debited report it to the CC account section and they will be able to provide transaction details.

                              MY NAME IS : ANSHUL SAINI.



                              we have booked TATA SKY THRU call center no.[protected] on 24th April 08.

                              while explaining the scheme the executive concerned (KUNAL) said that, if i make a payment of Rs.2499/- vide credit card, then I will get 2 months subscription free



                              But, unfortunately, after one month, i.e.on 26th May our connection got disconnected

                              for insufficient Balance in our account.



                              I failed to understand why their SALES people cheat the innocent customers by making false promises and spoil the name of TATA SKY?



                              I request your goodselves to please look into the matter on urgent basis and clarify the matter, as this is a case pure manipulation and cheating.

                                i did not able to see star movie after the installation of TATA SKY . as per your mannual it included with this pack.Now i did not able to see any sports channels since 1 June 08 these are indluded in the package.
                                I was trying to your nos given in the brouchers but no response.
                                Kindly let me know the reason why not able to see thses channels getting massage to contact tollfree nos.

                                Kindly let me known what is gold pack or any package wich included these channels i.e.sprots, neo, bindass, zoom, 9x etc, NDTV Imagine etc.,

                                  We Tatasky subscribers are trapped by Tata.
                                  When I called TataSky about the drop of Amrutha TV, DD Podhigai, DD Sapthagiri the answer was it is based on survey that they have removed these channels. Strangely, the survey is aimed at South Indian DD channels

                                  These DD channels that have been dropped are free to air and we regularly watch for our favorite programs on it.

                                  We need these DD channels back, can someone help bring back these free to air DD channels back on TATA Sky?

                                  we had made complaint on monday 16/06/08 that after start monsoon we had problem to start tv due to heavy rain and and due to strong wind so please send a technician to solve problem. at that time your call centre person has lodged complaint and told us that we will send a technician tomorrow on 17/06/08 but he came today on 19/06/08 your technician has visited and asking for 300/- rupees for visiting charge and it will deduct from your account but the call centre person didnt inform us that the technician will take visiting charge. your call centre has to inform us about your visiting charge or service charge and secondly it is too high we had never paid any charges to our cable operator for any kind of services please we request do not deduct or if deducted please give credit even we have lodge complain for services and also your all prime channel had transferred in pay channel we are not satisfied wuth your services and your heavy charges expecting your co-operative approach

                                    Hi despite having SCV set top box i bought TATA Sky because of Amrita TV broadcasting but all of a sudden stopped the telecast giving some reasons. This is ridiculous and they can’t drop a channel as they wish having so many viewers. Please take proper action and do something to telecast Amrita TV.

                                    Please continue carrying Amrita TV and DD Malayalam on Tatasky dish platform. Also include some more Malayalam Channels like 'Reporter TV' (News), Indiavision (News), etc.

                                    Otherwise, thinking to discontinue subscribing to Tatasky and choosing other DTH.

                                    I totally agree with this complaint. Amrita TV is one of the best malayalam channels. We malayalee viewers have few channels available on Tata Sky when compared to other service providers. But we continue using Tata Sky because of the quality and if they start dropping the available channels then what will we be left with?

                                    Please look into it and get back Amrita TV or refund our money back so that we can go for some other subscribers who provide better channels.

                                      I am a tata Sky subscriber. My user ID is [protected]. during installation in jan 08 it was told to me that i will be given free package of Rs. 300/- for 06 months i.e. up to 03 Jul 08.which i was getting till 30 may 08.

                                      since 01 Jun 08, all the sports channel were deactivated which does not suppose to be before 03 Jul 08 even the package rates is reduced w.e.f 01 Jun 08.
                                      you are rtequested to restore the same at the earliest or to state the reason for breach of terms and conditions entered during installation.
