I was using act broadband for past two years or so. Recently i moved to a new place in bangalore (Whitefield to marathahalli). Act informed me that i will have to wait 7 days for a shifting of connection. I informed them i am not interest to shift rather cancel the connection as 7 days is not acceptable for me. Instead of proceeding with the process to cancel, they transferred my call to a 'tension team' where i spoke to an executive - shalini. She promised me that the connection will be transferred in two days and she is guarenteeing it from act side. So i did not request for a new connection from another service provider. The next day a team visited and they informed me that an second connection box needs to be installed for additional slots for which they will get permission from the owner. Also, they informed that the installation will be done on the next day itself. The next day nobody turned up and i contacted the same customer care executive. This time she asked for a day more and i accepted it with the condition that they will wave off my charges for the delay. Hours later she called me and informed that the connection needs to be cancelled and they cannot provide shifting to this location. Instead of all these drama, they could provide with a cancellation at the beginning itself, which would have saved my time and money. Act tension team is pathetic on resolving issues and rather they make sure more money is swindled from the customer by promising something that is not feasible.
Try to avoid act as they do not care for the customer rather rely on the new people coming to bangalore to swindle more and more money. They never give any wave off for technical fault from their side lasting for a day or more, multiple times in a month. If you complain they make sure you will have more issues. Also, they speak to customer with no respect and try to get rid off customers who complain, by hook or crook. On exploring more i realized that i was paying around rs. 400 extra for the package i chose, in comparison with other service providers. So, i am happy that the connection is closed. Still, this kind of treatment of customers is unacceptable.
