I've been using Airtel Broadband Services from February 2011 under the Rs1199 scheme, which was supposed to give me 2mbps broadband Internet upto a fair usage policy of 20 gbs. For the first two months, their service was good but later on, they gave horrible Internet speed , around 100 kbps instead of 2 mbps. I kept complaining via 198 several times, they resolved my issues within 24 hours. But after 2-3 days the same problem kept coming. I have called their customer care at least 7 times. And these days neither can i complain via the internet nor through 198 complain service. They simply ignore my calls and never pick up.

They recently changed their schemes so i wanted to migrate to rs1299 airtel broadband internet scheme which is supposed to give me 2 mbps upto a fair usage policy of 30 gbs, and it was confirmed by them that the scheme would be activated after the 11 th of this month. I did not get any confirmation e-mail.

I am a computer literate student myself who has studied the applied computer sciences. I have an extra modem with which I've tested and can conclude that airtel is giving me extremely slow & inconsistent speed on purpose. I have a software called Bandwidth monitor, besides that I've conducted speed tests via speedtests.net. Also I keep a track that I never exceed the fair usage policy which my airtel account ( i am attaching a screenshot as evidence) . I use original software and my pc is free from malware.

No one is using my wi-fi and it is encrypted with an user name and pass with the wap-psk settings on.

I reside in Tollygunge, Kolkata and Airtel Broadband service for the last 5 weeks has given me the worst service that one can possibly imagine. DO NOT TAKE AIRTEL IN KOLKATA, HORRIBLE SERVICE, 100 times WORST THAN BSNL, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! READ THIS AS A REVIEW, & SAVE YOUR MONEY & VALUABLE TIME.

Airtel Resolved this Permanently, been happy for the last year! ...
Responsible customer service, no response on shifting request 4040470, lengthy waiting at IVR to reach the customer care executives,

low class 3rd party agents don't know how to respond to customers banging the phone on customer face,

no revert call as per promise totally its going worst...

My Problem has currently been resolved. But if the problem comes back anytime sooner, I will be coming back here and complaining.

GOT PROBLEM TWICE AFTER WRITING HERE, CALLED 198, THEY RESOLVED TWICE, THIS IS THE THIRD TIME, TOTAL NUMBER OF TIMES I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM IS 14. THEY ARE HOPELESS.

    Hi Mr Sunil Mittal,

    What is Airtel doing these days, your company has even started giving harassment on calls to consumer these days, and what is the compliance team in Airtel is doing after repeatdly complainning to them no action is being taken and even emails sent to the customer care are not reverted.

    Is this the present picture of Airtel MR Mittal, please be kind enough to reply on my issue.

    Yesterday again I have received a call from Airtel Mobile Number [protected] and executive told his name Prashant and he asked me a silly question why am I calling Customer Care for Billing Discrepancy Issue of Rs1248 and when I told him that I don't want to speak to him as I was afraid that he was not calling from Airtel Service Number [protected] from where customer receives call whenever they have issue he was using his personal number than he replied I have all your details and I am calling from 121 customer care than I asked him do u know Avinash he said he is sitting next to me and he is our team member.

    What is this going on Airtel why I am receiving such harassment calls repeatedly after continuously complaining to Airtel about this issue and this is my third email however I have not received any feedback from Airtel for my last two emails in the past which are also attached to this email.

    Why I am continuously being Harassed by Airtel, I want answer from Airtel and why My issue is taken for granted what is the Nodal and Apellete desk doing when I have reported this issue to them several times Why I am being unnecessarily charged in the Bill why I have a Billing Discrepancy in my current Bill and why my call drop and Network Issue is not resolved why that Executive Avinash is Harassing me continuously with his other colleagues who are calling me from different numbers why?

The adjustments which was given to me every month was regarding my network issue that my calls got dropped my voice breakage issue and top of that non coverage location everytime when I call Airtel regarding this issue I am always given a same excuse that new site is planned in my Area which will get installed shortly and atlast I have to suffer.

    Inspite of continously complainning to Nodal Desk I recieved a call on 21st August from the same number [protected] and Avinash was on the call however he was using the other name NITIN KUMAR I recognised his voice than he said " AGAR TUNE PEHCHAN HI LIYA HAI TOH SUNN ABHI TERA Rs 500 KA REVERSAL KARAYA HAI JOH TUJHE AAJ PATA CHAL GAYA HOGA AUR NEXT BILL MEIN DEKH MAI TERE SATH KYA KARWATA HOON" .

    My question to Airtel is that is this the way Airtel behaves with its customers in such unprofessional way, why such uneducated employes are hired by Airtel to abuse customers? Adjustments which was given to me every month were all justified as I am facing a lot of issue with non covergae location and call drops issue is very frequent on my connection, all the adjustments which was given to me are shown in the bill how can they be cancelled anytime, this is not the way to behave, it is a very stupid act which Airtel is following in this month's bill I have recieved a Reversal of Rs 1248 for all the adjustments if it is not removed I will not sit quiet, Airtel is following unappropriate practices Its a MENTAL HARRASMENT which Airtel is doing with me I have gone under High Depression. First I have recieved such Abusive calls from Airtel and than my justified adjustments are cancelled.

    Its very hard to digest that Airtel is behaving in such worst way.My Second question is why these Nodal Desks and Amplette desk are made for when the executives sitting on them fool the customer they even don't fulfill their commitment, on 22nd August I called up Amplette desk and narrated the same Issue to MONIKA she assured me that she will escalate the issue and will look into the matter and will get back to me in 48hrs however she never turned up after that I again called Amplete desk twice to speak to her and I was told that she will call me back with in two hours however she never called from last 3 days I have called numerous times to Nodal Desk to customer care and also to Amplette desk however no one has given me a valid answer, now where should I approach, Airtel services has gone worst these days, in my life my First connection when I started using cellphone was Airtel that point of time services and network of Airtel was the best as compared today it is the worst.

    Team I need valid answer for all my Issues which I have drafted in this email, will not leave it as I have all My Bills in which Adjustments have been Given in the past and its my request to Airtel to employ responsible executives on AMplette desk and Nodal Desk as I have lost all my trust on them as they try to fool the customer by giving false excuses and Please look into that Abusive call Issue seriously if it has happened with me it can happen with any Airtel Customer.

    Airtel — Bill discrepancy - mental harassment

    Airtel has an awful way of dealing with cutomer issues. I brought a similar issue to them in Nov. 07 and still have not heard from them regarding how they have fixed it. Airtel is the WORST.

    Airtel — Discrepancies in Scheme

    I have activated a scheme where i paid approx. Rs. 500 where i got the scheme of Local A2A 0.40 paise A2O 0.60 paise & STD @ Rs. 1.00/- for one year now i went to reacharge my mobile in shop for balance of Rs. 50.00 but by mistake the shopkeeper did it of Rs. 55 where i dint got any balance and some local scheme got activated on my cell where A2A was 0.40 paise & A2O was 0.60 paise which i was already having but my STD call rates increased to Rs. 1.50 paise & the scheme validity for local calls became 1 month so i paid the amount bt it was of no use for me... & when i called customer care they told they cant help me... so please look into the matter seriously coz Rs. 500 is not a small amount for me..

    It is brought to your kind notice that i have taken connection under education scheme No.[protected] as i have been working as Superintendent in college. sir. Sir, after one day of installation of my connection was blocked due to nonpayment of a number[protected] running on my name 3-4 year back. I approched kalpurthala Airtel Office and enquired about the detail of my pending bill so that the same may be cleared and I have been informed by sales executive Mr. Himanshu that there is no such detail, my boss Mr. Anu talked with the Company, You can pay the half of the pending amountto restore your no. Sir, on 2.4.10 I have aid Rs. 380/ towards connection no.[protected] to clear the pendency. But inspite of such clearance my no. is still blocked. Today I contacted again to Mr. Himanshu to restore my no. so that 15-20 balanceconnections of my collegues be taken, but his attitude shoked me, he said your connection will not be restored you can surrender your no. and there is no need of more connections.Due to such harrament i approcahed yourself to look into the matter for retoration of my no. Otherwise such attitude of your executives force me to discontinue my connections [protected] and [protected].

    Atlast today in the evening I recieved a call from Airtel Executive Rahul from Airtel Corporate Office however I am not happy the way he was trying to save Avinash and he also said that Airtel is not responsible for any call which was made to you in the past by any executive with their personal number first he was denying the fact that Avinash din't even called up on 18th August he was not able to check that after some efforts he said that Yes he could see Avinash called me on 18th August however the way he spoke on call I am not at all satisfied he was too diplomatic on call and was trying to save Airtel and the Harssment and pain which I have faced in the past from Airtel he din't took any responsibilty for that from Airtel's end and he also said he need 4days more to check this Issue and also asked me what I want from Airtel now?when I told him that action should be taken against Avinash for his misbehaviour on call which he made to me on 18th August and my billing discrepancy should be resolved the charges of Rs1248 which is mentioned in the bill unnecesarily should be removed and explanation should be given regarding the same why they are on the bill and they should be explained completely on the bill not by just writing ONE TIME CHARGE and charges are appearing I need complete explanation from Airtel than he replied "Kiski Naukri pe baat aa rahi hai aur hum koi action lenge toh woh internal hoga apko nahi batayenge" My question to Mr Rahul is these words what he said to me I have heard from Nodal officers as well as from Appellate officers however till now no action is being taken and the emails which I have wrote to Airtel in the past none of them has been replied till now and if action have been taken in the past then why those executives are still troubling me they are Airtel Partner's they are not directly from Airtel, So Mr Rahul don't give this unnecessary excuses take some necessary action.

    Its more than a month this Issue started on 18th August, Airtel is just trying to fool me and all unnecessary execuses are given to me by customer care including Nodal officers and Ampellate authorities, if you will check the details of my connection you will come to know how many calls I have made to Airtel authorities in the past the number will cross more than hundred but I am sorry to say Airtel always took my Issue for granted you cannot even think in how much Pain I am in right now top of that none of my emails which I have sent to Airtel in the past were never replied inspite after sending reminders to Airtel to reply on my email, if you will check you can see I have sent email to Airtel authorities on 8th September as well as on 9th September, top of that I have faced Harassment from Avinash including his other colleagues how Can my Number is been revealed to third party.Its a Data Protection Act.

    This is not acceptable at all and top of that I am not happy with the way Rahul Sinha spoke to me yesterday he called me up from Airtel number [protected], he was not taking any responsibility from Airtel's end and din't even let me speak on call and he was continously trying to save Avinash, I am under continous mental harassment and emotional pain, his call was a great nuisance to me and added pain to my sufferings. and the worst thingh he said to me was he will help me to port out my number to other service provider i, what is this Mr Rakesh how could he say that?

    This is Enough Mr Ranga please look into this Issue seriously. Next time If anyone calls me from Airtel he should be sound enough to communicate with me I don't want to listen to anymore nuisance call like Rahul Sinha's call.

    HI Team,

    Why Airtel is just trying to fool me by giving unnecessary excuses why I am not getting a genuine reply from Airtel regarding mental harassment done by Airtel Authorities including Airtel Executive Avinash with his other collegaues, I am warning Airtel to look into this issue seriously, else I have to carry it to the Next Level.

    On Friday 23rd September I called Appellate desk and I had a word with Appellate Officer Anuradha I narrated the complete Issue to her and she assured me that she will look into this issue and will give me a call back on Monday however after calling 3times to apellate desk yesterday and requesting executive to call Anuradha on call I was told that she will definately call me back within 2hours but I am sorry to say she din't called me back, I want to ask Airtel is this type of customer service Airtel provide to its customers?

    Its pathetic customer service provided by Airtel, I am again warning Airtel to look into my issue seriously as its height now and I will not tolerate any misconduct in my issue anymore its been so long that I have not received any genuine reply from Airtel regarding this issue.

    Yesterday again I have received a call from Airtel Mobile Number [protected] and executive told his name Prashant and he asked me a silly question why am I calling Customer Care for Billing Discrepancy Issue of Rs1248 and when I told him that I don't want to speak to him as I was afraid that he was not calling from Airtel Service Number [protected] from where customer receives call whenever they have issue he was using his personal number than he replied I have all your details and I am calling from 121 customer care than I asked him do u know Avinash he said he is sitting next to me and he is our team member.

    What is this going on Airtel why I am receiving such harassment calls repeatedly after continuously complaining to Airtel about this issue and this is my third email however I have not received any feedback from Airtel for my last two emails in the past which are also attached to this email.

    Why I am continuously being Harassed by Airtel, I want answer from Airtel and why My issue is taken for granted what is the Nodal and Apellete desk doing when I have reported this issue to them several times Why I am being unnecessarily charged in the Bill why I have a Billing Discrepancy in my current Bill and why my call drop and Network Issue is not resolved why that Executive Avinash is Harassing me continuously with his other colleagues who are calling me from different numbers why?

    My question to Airtel is that is this the way Airtel behaves with its customers in such unprofessional way, why such uneducated employees are hired by Airtel to abuse customers? Adjustments which was given to me every month were all justified as I am facing a lot of issue with non covergae location and call drops issue is very frequent on my connection, all the adjustments which was given to me are shown in the bill how can they be cancelled anytime, this is not the way to behave, it is a very stupid act which Airtel is following in this month's bill I have recieved a discrepancy of Rs 1248 in my latest bill if it is not removed I will not sit quiet, Airtel is following unfair trade practices Its a MENTAL HARRASMENT which Airtel is doing with me I have gone under High Depression. First I have recieved such Abusive calls from Airtel executive Avinash and than I have faced a huge discrepancy in my latest bill .

    Its very hard to digest that Airtel is behaving in such worst way.My Second question is why these Nodal Desks and Applette desk are made for when the executives sitting on them just fool the customer they even don't fulfill their commitment they never keep thier words, I called up Appellete desk and narrated the same Issue to PIYUSH JAIN and he assured me that he will look into this issue and will give me a call back within 48hours and also assured me that he will escalate the issue to higher authorities in Airtel and will look into the matter and will get back to me in 48hrs however he never turned up from last 3 days I have called numerous times to Nodal Desk to customer care and also to Appellete desk however no one has given me a valid answer, now where should I approach, Airtel services has gone worst these days, in my life my First connection when I started using cellphone was Airtel that point of time services and network of Airtel was the best as compared today it is the worst.

    Team I need valid answer for all my Issues which I have drafted in this email, will not leave it as I have all My Bills in which Adjustments have been Given in the past and its my request to Airtel to employ responsible executives on Appelette desk and Nodal Desk as I have lost all my trust on them as they try to fool the customer by giving false excuses and Please look into that Abusive call Issue seriously if it has happened with me it can happen with any Airtel Customer.

    I had enough of it from Airtel, just stop fooling me you people are just posting anything, fact is that Nothing has been done till now, nor ia m getting the good service network issue is still the same, every day there are frequent call drops top of that Airtel Appellate Desk told me That Airtel Presence are interfering and not letting us take any action, Is this the way You people sitting in Airtel Presence team deal with your customers Issues?, Your false comment on this portal has added pain to my sufferings I have not recieved any explanation in written from Airtel authoroties to the emails I have sent to them, your Airtel Team is useless you people just take your customers complaint for granted, please stop posting these false comments and take some necessary action.

    My issue is still not resolved, Airtel is a cheat company.

    My number has been temporarily suspended since evening without any intimation.
    This is a matter of serious concern as I have lost my business because of this.
    Airtel didnt have the courtesy to intimate their clients. This is ridiculous
    and very devastating.
    I am on phone with Airtel reps for the last 2 hours and they are just saying
    that we cannot help you. Last guy informed that the issue is because of the
    documentation not completed.
    I want to know if documents were not verified, how can you guys give a number
    to customer and get it activated.

    This should be taken care in the first go and not after customer uses there
    number for couple of weeks. I was using Vodafone and there was no problem with
    that, still, i am wondering why did I listen to one of my friend who suggested
    to go ahead with Airtel. Horrible service and no commitment towards work and
    service!!! WoW

    You are my last hope to get this issue resolved at the earliest; else I will
    have no choice then to go to the consumer court. I want this number to be
    activated today and if possible, right now. I cant bear this loss and if Airtel
    is willing to do so, let me know.

    There are no personal regrets but as an organization, Reps should have taken
    proper ownership and should have got this resolved at the same time which no
    body did and now I have lost my business because of this.

    Since I was in the urgent need of the phone at that time, tried calling Airtel customer service for atleast a temp fix and they assured me that you need to deposit the documents again to the dealer and your number will be activated. When I went to dealer, they tried but of no vain and said that number will be activated on Tuesday. Without any intimation, how can Airtel disconnect my number??

    I kept on trying for complete Saturday looking for different people in Airtel. Finally got hold of the Distributor in Chandigarh who is a gem of a person. He kept me updated about the exact status and the reason why number was barred (dealer did not submitted the documents). Finally, he took all the pains and got my number activated over the weekend to which I am really thankful.

    Today, I received a call from Appelate officer ( Number- [protected]). She being at a higher position did not have the courtesy to ask what was the issue ( Shame on that ). She just mentioned that your number seems to be working fine and it was never disconnected from there end. I just ask her, do you actually know what I have gone through since Friday and how much effort I have to put in to get this number activated for which she was least bothered as she was in a hurry to complete the call. I repeated Myself thrice but of no vain. Finally, she just said it seems your issue is resolved and I am disconnecting the call which is ridiculous and frustrating.

    How can Airtel have such Appelate officers???? I have simple lost trust in Airtel. Never going to recommend this to anyone. Horrible and Pathetic service!!!

      DEAR Airtel Dth,

      After your so called executives assured of installation will be done in 24-48hrs time, I booked a new DTH connection on 14th May 2011- Saturday and paid the amount thorough credit card after a long critical process over phone.

      Details of the transaction:
      Amount: Rs 1,590/-
      Reference no : [protected]

      The amount was deducted from my credit on the same day with the name of "Airtel DTH Navi Mumbai". However, THE CONNECTION HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED SINCE SIX MONTH PAST.

      While I called up their Customer care I was provided mere a lip service(Call back will be arranged in 30 mins, 1 hr, it will be done today at any cost,etc).

      ALSO AS HELL AS, the call is being dropped by the customer care or somebody saying that we are not concerned to that we only deal with new connection and somebody is telling please call your local authorities. If I want to take so much pain I would ve never gone for credit card payment neither **** AIRTEL dth. I ve no idea why the people being PAID there. THEY CANT EVEN TRACK A REQUEST WHICH IS PENDING SINCE LAST 6 MONTHS. I doubt are they qualified to sit there or not to help peoples. PATHETIC..

      We ask you here i[censored] cant handle ur existing customer then why the hell on earth Airtel dth goes for new connection and makes life more difficult and make false promises.

      I have made several request through phone and mails but no action has been taken, even if they dont bother also. After once money goes to their pocket they dont care whatever the case may be. From customer point of view they never think. They have not even generated my customer ID for a long time and there has been no e-mail or sms confirmation from their side after the payment has been done.

      I have also written several communication through email to [protected]@airtel.in and got only an acknowledgement email not any concrete response, which is attached too.

      I deeply regert on my dicission to go with Airtel Digital TV and I am wasting my time and money with AIRTEL peoples. I will rememeber the date for my whole life 14th May 2011(payment date).


      I am feed up about all this things and planning to go to consumer court and I request Airtel to process the cancellation request and provide me the refund immediately and I would like to go with the leader TATA SKY.

      Hello Airtel Team,

      This is regarding my new connection. My customer ID-[protected].

      I applied for new connection on Last Saturday (May, 14) though credit

      card . Transaction ID[protected].

      Your associate Vishal- [protected] committed me that day we ll definitely

      install it on the next day but one week past no call from your side . The

      most disappointing is, I called you 8 times , every time somebody picks

      and ask for the details of my connection and tells we ll call you back in 1

      hour or 45 minutes. No body call me back. Just I think Airtel is fooling

      me . I don’t have any time to call you or waste my time and money on that.



      Why this happens in India. Now India is changing but not in service. The

      serYour associates called me several times before schedule time upto

      payment done. Payment afterward who the hell cares. Once money went to

      your pocket who is customer ” Go to Hell “. Please raise your goodwill

      providing servicing to exiting customer first then you go for the new

      customer.



      I am quite disappointed with airtel too as I already have dish tv

      connection , I thought you are providing best service why not to try

      Airtel ! But I was wrong. I will appreciate if you can escalate this issue

      further or else If within today the installation is not done I want my

      money back to my account and I ll go for any other service.

      Airtel DTH — Paid for Airtel DTH connection but installation pending. Request for refund.

      I have booked for a Airtel DTH connection on 04-Oct-2010 via customer care number[protected]. I have made a payment through customer care via IVR using my card for Rs 3590/-. The payment has been made on the same day and the transaction ID is 11136881. TIll now I have not received my customer ID or any other communication related to the installation. During the time of booking I was told that the installation will be made with in 48 hours.

      I called customer care to request for assistance 8 times and got the following responses.
      1. The Agent will call you with in one hour (3 times).
      2. Installation will be done today.
      3. Our supervisor team will call in with in an hour.
      4. Try contacting the dealer directly nearest to your location. ( which I dont have the information, after etting the contact numbers of the nearest dealers, the numbers are not in use / switched off )
      5. When I asked for refund, the call hung up.

      All I was expecting is the tentative date of installation so as to plan my activities. With the services and responses I have got, I do not want to be a part of Airtel DTH.

      I am putting this compliant in this forum to request for refund for my Airtel DTH connection.

      I had first called up airtel dth 12150 to know on the dth details and they promised me that I would get the installation with in 48 hours of payment.
      I believed this and did the payment online (19/10/2010). I now get a call saying that it will only be done only on 25/10/2010.

      The customer ID given to me is [protected].

      This is cheating in all sense!! I want to request for refund if I dont get the installation done in 48 hours. i.e before 8 pm 21/10/2010

      Airtel DTH — No connection or communication after 48 hrs of payment

      My order id is 3964525 i have paid online if needed i can give you the transaction id from citibank

      I am informed that AirTel representative would be calling me soon and the CUSTOMER ID would be communicated through mail.
      But there has been no communication from AIRTEL till now.

      On suspicion, I tried googling with " AirtelDTH ConnectIndia" and was surprised to see that many have reported Fraud dealing with DTH packages very similar to my case.
      Now I am more worried as the person who sold me this online is not answered mail/call and I have sent mail to the Airtel customer service division ([protected]@airtelindia.com,DTH.[protected]@in.airtel.com and [protected]@in.airtel.com), but no response till now.
      I didnt expect this from AIRTEL.. Please take this complaint and also let me know when i will be getting my connection.

          Myself Rahul Soni & my Airtel no. is [protected]. My problem is that i am customer of airtel from last 6 years. Actually i am not satisfied with airtel now because of any service starts automatically like that hangama clum, hangama songs, models of the day etc. & unwanted balance deducts from my account. On dated 13.09.11, hangama club service activated automatically on my no. & Rs. 99 duducted from my main balance & Rs. 5.00 is getting deduct till yet for hangama songs. After that i called to customer care & register my complaint there but i did not get any satisfied reply from Airtel customer care executive & senior executive. I have registered my complaint to Airtel customer care around 10 times but my problem did not solved by Airtel customer care. And Rs. 05+01 is getting deduct till date continously. Please resolve my problem & stop this unwanted balance deduction from my account.

          Supermodels club package — unwanted service and deduction from balance

          its been three times that rs.10 has been deducted from my account for some supermodel club package which I haven't subscribed for so plz tell me how to unsubscribe such service in tata docomo

          AirTel — unwanted service starts automatically and deduct balance

          i have airtel prepaid sim that no. is [protected] automatically unwanted service starts and deduct my balence i dont know why only airtel did this kind of shock tactics i am using other than airtel but still i am not facing problem on that if service is like that i will leave airtel .
          TRAI should look into this automatic service activations without consent. Every once in a while such services get activated on my number and I have to call the CC to get them removed (usually happens when accessing sites like Buzzfeed and Diply, sometimes the torrent sites), the CC person is usually helpful and deactivates the same. However I wonder happens to people who don't really understand and check their bills and text messages. They are the real targets!

            I am an Airtel DTH customer. For the last 3 days I have not been getting TV signals. the error code is B 001.I contacted the Customer care centre which in formed that the issue would be resolved within 6 hours. It has not been resolved.I received a fake SMS from Airtel informing me that the issue was resolved. It was not.
            The Airtel DTH service is very poor and not had been responsable person .

            I have received the call from your costumer care on 20th Sept.She said me that our engineer will reach today but engineer not came till now.I have problem till now .

                I have migrated from Airtel Postpaid connection to Prepaid connection. My mobile number is [protected]. I got my SIM card activated to prepaid connection but my boosters have not been activated yet. My boosters include SMS booster (Rs. 36) and Rs. 37 booster. But they didnt get activated still. The retail shop owner has communicated tat there is no problem in his side. Even i received a SMS confirming the SMS booster but i haven't received any confirmation for Rs. 37 booster. The most frustrating thing is that i got confirmed with Airtel's executive Mr. Ganesh on Sep, 23, 2011 at 17:24 IST that both of the boosters have been activated. But still the charges r getting deduced as per normal plan (Without booster). Another frustrating thing is that i tried to call to Customer Care 121 after that but at the stage of line transfer to customer care executive, it says "Please dial *121# to know about your account balance and so..."..I am unable to call Customer care too..The Airtel Complaint number given in your website 198 is also not working. I got a reply that 198 does not exists. I don't know what to do..

                Kindly do the needful.

                      1. I wanted to adopt DTH for my Sony 40" 3D TV. While brooding over as to which Service Provider I should consider for the best service-Technical Quality/Best max. Pack/Real HD channels etc, the TOI report dated Aug.14th came quite handy which recommended Airtel DTH as the best among all DTH Service Providers. I decided to go in for Airtel DTH- South Ultra Pack & HD Set Top Box with recording facility.
                      2. Then I googled Airtel DTH website & registered myself.
                      3. I immediately got a call from one Mr.Tasdeeq Ahmed, Sales Advisor email id tasdeeq.[protected]@vriti-interactive.com .I had a serious of discussions/email exchange from 13th Sep to Sep 20, with M/S Tasdeeq Ahmed/Nadeem of vriti interactive.com. After these discussions & clarifications, I finally decided to go in for "south ultra' Pack. I was quoted Rs.7950/- for south ultra pack+DVD/DVR Set top box. Subsequently I was given Rs.150/-discount & Rs.250/-Cash back on Sep 20/- only if paid online. I was asked to make payment to http://connectindia.in/checkout.htm. Accordingly I paid through Net on sep. 20th.I got receipt of same. I was advised I will receive Id no & Ref No. I was also told I will get a phone call for installation & the installation would be done within 24 to 48 hrs.
                      4. I haven't got any phone call for installation/Ref.No/ID No even after 2 days. I tried to contact Mr.Tasdeeq Ahmed on phone no.[protected] & [protected] (the nos from which I was contacted by Mr.Ahmed till I made payment). First few phone calls used to get disconnected abruptly. Subsequently there was a message” there is no such phone no” My repeated EMs to Mr.Tasdeeq Ahmed didn't elicit any response.
                      5. I am appalled at the callous attitude of M/s Vriti interactive. This party, who were continuously pestering me till sep.20th for payment towards the pack/HD Set top box I had opted & till the actual payment was made, were not at all responding to phone calls/EMs made after payment.
                      6. When I googled to site"Airtel HD DTH Complaints & Reviews - Airtel HD DTH - Vriti interactive fraud”, I noted as to how many persons have been cheated & duped by vriti interactive/connect India.
                      7. Are these parties-Vriti interactive/connect India bonafide parties outsourced by Airtel DTH? Then why this callous attitude? It is badly tarnishing the fair image of Airtel.
                      8. How can AIRTEL, which is supposed to be such a popular/efficient/large entity, afford this negligence & unethical attitude? I sincerely hope I am not one of the enormous persons duped by these Agencies.
                      9. I seek your intervention. Kindly immediately respond to my this grievance & ensure that I am provided the promised service, payment for which has been made on 20/9/2011 : 12 month provision of South ultra pack+HD/DVD Set top Box/free installation+250/- cash back.
                      10. I am attaching the series of mail communication with the person from Vriti (Mr. Tasdeeq Ahmed) and also the payment confirmation mail which I recd. after making the online payment of Rs. 7800/-

                      AIRTEL DTH HD — Sorry state of affairs

                      Absolutely pathetic customer service!
                      I have been using Dish T.V for almost 5 years now and was extremely satisfied with their service I ade a big mistake by changing over to Airtel. I got a Airtel HD DTH connection when i bought a LCD television n 13th Aug from Vashi. On 18th August one representative from Airtel called me to activate my connection,by recharging for rs 750/-. I did the recharging and was told that my dish and STB would be installed asap. Cust ID [protected]. There started my problems, till the 22nd Aug nothing happened, despite me making umpteen calls to various people, including the rep who asked me to recharge initially and service center and even the service engineers. On 22nd, two guys called me and came to install my Dish, but no STB, they said since it was an HD connection , they didn't have STB in stock, on 23rd night around 10.00pm finally my STB was installed. I kept asking the guy what package would be activated, he didn't seem to know much, he made a few calls to the customer center and some channels were activated.To my surprise the package the activated was a rest of India package and not a South package that i wanted. (I learned this on 30th Aug). I then made numerous calls to call center and was advised that if I recharge for Rs 364/-,I would receive all the channels I wanted.I wasn't convinced so I called up again. Nothing happened even after speaking to a supervisor by the name Rahul, who had promised to change my package from ROI to South. I recharged for 365/- on Saturday the 28th August morning around 11.00am. I got an SMS stating that my channels would be activated in 45 minutes. No change took place till the evening, when I again called up to speak to a manager who promised to activate the service by 10.00pm. He said there were some technical errors. Next morning i,e on Sunday the 29th I was surprised to find most of the channels working except the Malayalam package. I again called up and spoke to an Agent named Sujatha, who asked me to call back after 5 hours to activate my Malayalam package, in between she also told me my balance had gone into the negative, but she will look into the same.I again made a call in the afternoon to speak and my call was cut, finally I was able to get through to a manager named Bikas, who promised to activate my Malayalam channels. In the meanwhile my Tamil package was deactivated, without any information. I have since made calls on the 30th Aug and 31st Aug and the only answer that i get is your balance in in negative, my question is why is nobody ever bothering to check with me as to what is the package I want and advise accordingly. Eve last night I spoke to a back end guy from bangalore , who promised to look into the matter and call me back. My wait continues..... I have decided to go back to my Dish T.V who have offered me Fantastic service for all these years. My advice to all on this forum, go for AIRTEL only if you want nightmarish customer service! AIRTEL SUCKS.. This will be my Last AIRTEL Product ever... The Dish and the STB this evening will go to my Garbage bin for sure...
                      • I was happy at Airtel's immediate response, as follows, to my complaint inserted in "Consumer Complaints: Indian Consumer Complaints Forum" on the same day of my complaint..

                      • I got a phone call promptly on Saturday, the 24th, from one of the staff members of Airtel, Delhi, conveying verbally my allotted ID No.& added that the installation would be positively affected immediately & at any cost, not later than Monday, the 26th.

                      • Today is Wednesday, the 28th.The installation has not been done. None from airtel have bothered to phone me up. At least, I expected a phone call from Airtel, explaining the reason for their not having installed on 24th & as to when Airtel would actually install. On the contrary, Airtel Delhi did not even respond to my repeated phone calls yesterday to the same No from which I had got a phone call on 24th.

                      • I thought only Airtel Franchisees M/S vriti - interactive & Connect India are unprofessional. Now, I find Airtel no better- belong to same unprofessional league. The three seem to be a cartel of giving all details, insisting on advance full payment, on line, & then once paid, just don't bother to receive phone calls, go on assuring that prompt action would be taken on installation & activation, but actually not taking any action. Airtel, take care only to insert their response against the consumers complaints in Consumer Forum. This is just a lip service to safeguard their reputation. They don't respond to the same grievance addressed to their official grievance id "[protected]@in.airtel.com". They are least bothered about their responsibility/obligations towards customers. Had I seen the enormous number of complaints against Airtel DTH in consumer forum before actual payment, I would never have decided to go in for Airtel DTH. Now, having-gone in for it, I am repenting .I am duped.

                      • I find Consumers have waited endlessly. For those who have followed up with repeated complaints, Airtel have given ref, No/Id No. After quite a no of follow ups, they have installed. Then consumer have been waiting endlessly for activation.

                      • This is the sorry state of affairs of a very big multinational, having international presence. Airtel should take into account, the fact, that they have become international only with Indian customers support & money.

                      • Now I doubt whether the person who phoned me on the 24th is really an Airtel staff or he too is a fake. The id no has been conveyed only verbally & not in writing by EM. There is no action for installation/ activation.

                      • I cannot go on repeatedly following up/ waiting endlessly for Airtel to act, as I want to enjoy DTH reception earliest. I thought I will enjoy Airtel DTH on 22ndh (within 24/48 hours as promised). Now, I feel I will never get Airtel DTH installed anytime, leave alone anytime in the immediate future.

                      • Now, I have decided to go in for an alternate DTH service provider & hope that they too would not be like the unprofessional Airtel.

                      • Is it too much to expect Airtel to reimburse me back the advance, full money paid of Rs, 7800/-?

                      • I am cautioning all persons wanting to go in for DTH- be very careful if you are deciding to go in for Airtel DTH!!

                        I had requested for disconnection of my Airtel landline connection[protected] on 23rd of July. A person from Airtel and took the instrument and asked whether it should be transferred to anyone's name or cancelled. For that we told please cancel the connection.
                        After few days I get a bill from Airtel saying my connection is shifted to a person called Amruth Kashyap whom I dont know but strangely address remains same.
                        Many queries to Airtel remain unanswered.
                        Then in the month of October I get a legal notice from Airtel to fill the bill.

                          I am using Airtel number but finding much problem regarding network.

                          Network is too bad at ICC Trade Tower, Senapati Bapat Road and also at Crystal Garden, Baner Pashan link road, Pashan.

                          Also sms pack is too costly. It is Rs.67.00.

                          I came to know that vodafone has activated free sms service in Pune. Daily 100 sms free. That too without activating any sms pack.

                          This is the genuine advice to increase your users in Pune.

                          Please look into the above matters.

Airtlel activated a game on my mobile without my consent and this brought to my notice after 3 days and I called on customer service and they told me this will de-activated and will refund the money which they deducted for 4 days at the rate of Rs. 5 per day but nothing have been refunded and I called today on their customer service twice and they disconnected my call and then barred me to call on their customer service. This is really pathetic and I am not worried about my Rs. 20 but the level of service they are providing that is really disgusting.

                            An Airtel agent came to my house and promised a broadband connection within 2 weeks and asked me to issue a cheque for Rs 799. I issued a cheque from my citibank account (cheque No 336984) which was deposited in Airtel's account on 4 June 2011. Later the agent told me that I would not get the connection, so I asked for a refund of my money. I have called the agent several times but he just promises me that the money will be refunded.                               Dear Sir/Madam,

                              I had taken airtel broadband connection. I had delayed one month payment, I had told them I will make the payment the next month. However, they had disconnected the connection temporaily. Even after disconnecting the connection they had given the bill for the month which I had not used. I paid the bill even if i had not used the connection. They called me after making the payment and I requested them to disconnect the connection but they requested me to continue the connection providing a cheaper plan and 20% discount on the plan. I requested them to send the plan details they are providing through e-mail but they did not do it. They activated it just for 2-3 days and after that the land line phone connection was dead. I had given a complaint also. But Airtel people did not rectify it. The broad connection also got disconnect after 5 days. Even after disconnecting they are sending me the postpaid bill and calling me again and again to make the payment.

                              Kindly request you to take the action and request them to disconnect the connection.

                              I'm not making the payment anymore and i'm unhappy with the service they provided.

                                My Airtel Postpaid connection no. is [protected]. My bill is not delivered to the address given by me. But a call from airtel customer-care tells me that my bill is pending and my connection will be disconnected if the bill was not paid in time. Once a courrier company franchisee, who did not tell his and his company name, said that they receive my bill every month but as my house is at some distance from his office so he can not deliver for a few rupee.But it is the duty of the Airtel to deliver my bill at my doorstep at any cost. My telephonic requests to Airtel Customer care are proved useless. Airtel should be directed to deliver my bill at my doorstep.

                                Airtel Postpaid — No connection received!

                                i have paid the bill on dated 11.12.07,but inspite of that my incoming and outgoing is not maintained yet.my no.is [protected].pls do some favour soon oherwise i wl be able to switch to other

                                this is my mobile no.:[protected]. i have not received last bill till date. there is not my responsebility for late fee. i did tak to manytimes at customer care for bill but there are not response, airtel postpaid servise is very worst.
                                I met a sales executive named Mukesh Venu in my office Shastry Bhawan, Delhi. He provided me with a Airtel No. [protected] after submitting the documents and making a cheque payment of Rs. 699. Till date the No. is not activated. The SIM is lying with me and I think that Airtel sells there SIM for which they do so many documentation & verification but, finally leave it without any care for the customer's money and there own name.

                                The customer care at airtel is just horrible. If you are a high pressure you should not contact airtel customer care perhaps, instantly they will kill you.


                                I pray to GOD whatever he has earned by way of wrong promotional sms and false commitment to his customers should repay or his business should go down the drain.

                                This is Divakr, Lead - Finance & Accounts from IBM India Pvt Ltd, ITPL, explorer, 5th floor, extn:4749, Bangalore.

                                I have applied for the new post paid connection in Airtel for postpaid connection with IBM279 plan, According to your procedure, produced all the necessary documents and paid Rs.300/- as a depost (refundable) to the sales executive of Airtel, Mr.Husen , CAS - AIRTIME (AGENCY NAME) contact number:[protected] and got the SIM CARD vide number:[protected] PAKED DATE:22.10.07.

                                Since friday evening he has been giving the different mobile numbers everyday till today and saying that the number will be activated by end of the day and the numbers given me like [protected] / [protected] / [protected] & [protected].

                                Moreover, i have called Husen several times since friday and not lifting the phone and giving his mobile to one of his friends, which is no use.

                                He is always avoiding in giving the exact status of the new connection. Customer is the key person for any kind of services. But I am not at all satisfied with the Husen services in getting the my connection.

                                I want to escalate this crazy issue to the higher levels through my Manager from IBM India Pvt Ltd. if i have not received proper response immediately. But Hoping Airtel will give the support to the customers at all times and will give the new connection immediately.

                                Please call me immediately with all the details like my new connection mobile number, status etc.

                                Airtel — bill delivery not on time (from last last four months)

                                this is to inform you that my self gaurav sahni residential dehra dun mobile no [protected]
                                already i had coplain to airtel city centre that i am not getting my bills on time since last 4 months (complains sended by verbly, msg,call on custmer care n written also) but no response .till yet now without bills i had not submit my bills on time so i cross the credit limit of RS. 1900. know they disconnect my out going calls yesterday i went to city center of airtel to sot out the problem after sitting 2 hrs no response. in the month of june they send duplicate copy of bills of 3 months n said that this kind of problem will not happen again but no solution.but they are running same problem from last four months, please give the solution to come out from this problem.

                                  You have been providing us a service named IPL.The given service is not used by us from last 2-3 months and the airtel bill which is given by you is included with this service charges.Kindly disconnect this service because this is not useful for us and further we are not going to pay for this as we are not using the IPL service provided by you.If further the bill contains the IPL charges than we will dissconect all the airtel service used by us.also issue the upcoming bill with excluding and refunding the chages given by us since last 2-3 months.

                                      I have Airtel prepaid mobile connection.Since 20 days I am getting cricket SMS alerts,which I never subscribed for them.I don't want any SMS and I am loosing lot of money on them. Solve this problem as early as possible. I already registered complaint here.But no one is responding.It is better to disconnect from Airtel.

                                      I think that by sending these unwanted SMS Airtel is cheating customers.

                                      Airtel Prepaid Mobile Connection — Fasle offer

                                      I received the message that if I will recharge for Rs. 37/-, my Std rate will be Rs. 1/- insted of Rs. 1.5/- per minute.
                                      But after doing the recharge of Rs. 37/- my Std rate is still Rs. 1.5/- per minute.

                                      Airtel Mobile — to stop unwanted sms

                                      many times airtel is deducting rs.30 or rs.60 from my account for sending sms (which are not of my concern). so pls help me in stopping this. my no. is [protected]. it is also too difficult to contact ur customer care unit. also the aritel c.care executives are unable to clarify the fact.
                                      I am receiving non-sense messages frequently from mobile no.[protected], disturbing my regular work. I told the person to sop sending messages. But he / she sends more messages and harassing me and distracting my work. Please do the needful to block this number from getting sms on my mobile phone. Thanks and regards,

                                        I took Airtel postpaid connection few months back and activated GPRS service. Though they promise 2GB free for 1 month, it is not the case. With their miserable speed, no one can exceed this limit. Once I complained them regarding the speed and all they told was that they cannot do anything about it...more number of people connect, the speed gets reduced. I am definite that I didn't exceed the 2 GB quota counting on the downloaded file size. I believe they are measuring it on some other unit.

                                        There is the concept of dynamic Credit Limit which is dynamic enough that they the Airtel guys can define it as per their wish. I got bill for 6.5K when my credit limit is 1.2K. Their explanation is simple - amount for gprs service will not be considered for credit limit. Yet my connection got disconnected in between as I exceeded the credit limit. At that time the last message I got was that bill amount is 2.5K or so. They never intimated me until then that I had exceeded my credit limit. How the final bill reached 6.5K in the final bill they can very well explain in their own terms.

                                        Since they will not enforce Credit Limit, don't imagine that you can control your bill amount. Daily they will send the bill amounts if you want to be up to date. It will be 30K and all... If you enquire them, they will say it is un-discounted amount...that when they generate the final bill after they give discount for free 2 GB it will come down. But they still cannot say what exactly is the amount.

                                        There can be 2 reasons for them sending the un-discounted bills with huge amount and not enforcing the credit limit.
                                        1) They don't have the infrastructure to calculate the exact bill amount on a daily basis. (Hardware doesn't support)
                                        2) They want to mislead the customers, keep us in dark so that they can keep on billing us huge amount and still we don't know about it. Finally they will present a huge bill.

                                        What ever be the reason, either is not acceptable. If it's their financial problem that they don't have the hardware for proper billing, they should not put the burden on us by giving such huge bills.
                                        If its about their unethical behaviour of deceiving customers...I think we need to bring it to the notice of TRAI or such regulatory body about such malpractices.

                                        Finally the bill collection is the area where they start showing the true colours. When you contact them, they will say they will recalculate and get back or contact the manager and get back. But they will not close this thing properly. In between you will have got frustrated an moved to some other service provided. They start calling all the number you might have dialled and start threatening about legal proceeding unlawfully. If you call them, they will take their own sweet time to get back. But they will continue with their harassment.

                                        Finally I will like to suggest that Airtel + Postpaid + gprs is a deadly combination. Better avoid it unless you don't mind sitting and writing like this one day.

                                        Thanks for you response. I thought the issue is resolved, but once again Airtel Collection team had started with the dirty tactics.

                                        I had lot of conversation with the collection department guy, customer care person and all during this time of posting this. Finally it was agreed to settle this issue after waving off a part of the outstanding amount. I made the payment and informed the guy the details of the receipt etc. But once again I received a mail asking to pay the waived off amount.

                                        This is really unacceptable where Airtel doesn't even stick to what is promised. Doesn't Airtel have any ethics?
