    I believe that Airtel has lost interest in their DTH business segment, and don't care about user's problems.
    They're terribly slow in adding new channels. TATA and Big have already added channels like FX, FX Crime, BBC Entertainment, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Science etc and their viewers are enjoying it for months.
    My only problem is that I have two airtel dth connection, and would have to shell out some Rs. 2000 extra for new connection which I am trying to avoid. But I think I'll have to do it, given the apathy of Airtel towards its consumers.

    FYI: I already mailed Airtel many times about the issue and always got the same textbook answer that "we're in the process of adding new channels". This answer sucks... give us some dates/deadlines.

        I wish to express my acute dissatisfaction with the Airtel services. They have arbitrarily and without my consent discontinued posting me printed-out bills for my phone number.

        I have repeatedly (both through phone calls to customer care representatives and via sms) clarified clearly and repeatedly that I need the hard copy of the bill. Despite phoning up the Airtel complaint number and repeatedly informing them about non-receipt of the fixed-line Bill, and the fact that I would not like to avail of the ebill option, I have still not received my bill.
        The last phone call I made was on 2nd December, and I was assured (Service Request Number[protected] that I would definitely receive my bill before 2.30 on 7 December 2010.

        I still have not and I can only construe this as deliberate on the part of Airtel. I have also explained that I need the bill for my records and I do not have an access to a printer, and therefore I would not like to avail of the ebill option.

        Further, I wish to point out that though they claim that complaint numbers are toll-free, when I called up through my Airtel mobile to complain about my landline - which was completely dead - money was deducted from my mobile phone for making that call. When I called again to complain about this, I was told that the toll-free number only works from a landline. It is unethical to proclaim that your toll-line is free, and then be selective about landline or mobile numbers, especially when it is an Airtel number. A customer only calls a 'toll-free' number in an emergency, and if the landline number is not working there is no option but to call from a mobile number.

        Airtel Mobile Services — Non receipt of bill for December 2010

          I had bought a new Nokia C3 alongwith airtel free gprs usage for 6 months, with that i was given a airtel sim,though i am using a vodafone number,i switched on to airtel to utilize the free intenet offer,in the begiing when i was buying my nokia handset,i was told that it will get activated as soon as i insert the airtel sim,but now it has been 3 days and still i havent got any 2 gb usage,over that i am being charged when i try to connect to the internet,i tried to contact the airtel customer care,there i was put on hold by the customer executive in the name of transferring my call to senior executive for more than 10 minutes,in the end i had to end the call myself.

          I would like to get this 2 gb internet activated on my airtel sim as as possible.
          else will have to take some stringent steps.

          I also have complaint regarding the same.
          I have been using airtel since 2 years and in last 2 days my balance is getting deducted unnecessarily even after a 2 GB monthly package!!

          As written here i will try once by contacting them on mail.

          I spoke to customer executive. today is 6th jan they say they will solve it by 10th jan.

          4 days to solve a problem of customer. I wish it was faster.

            i have taken up advance 6 payment plan which states that if you pay 5months rent in advance, you will get 1 month rent as free. My plan was 799 unlimited and paid Rs. 3995 and i got service effective from 25-Dec-2009 to 25-Jun-2010. After june, my plan was auto-renewed and i have been charged Rs. 3995 for next month. I told him that i am not interested in this plan and i am willing to normal payment mode of Rs. 799 per month. They have not reverted back. Atlast, i was pushed to disconnect the service on 23-Sep-2010 and line got disconnected. Now the problem is they have charges Rs. 3995+taxes+fine for 6 months advance payment and three month charges also (jul-sep). But already they have charged me for above period plus Rs. 2,016.56 for those three months. Totally it came with Rs. 6677 and they have raised a case in Delhi high court for claim of Rs.56000 and magistrate called and threatened me to pay bill and i paid in vain. Why did they have charged that 2016 amount as already i have been covered under 6 months rental plan. Also, as its 6 months rental plan, i have used only 3 months and i have 3 more months remaining. I need justice. please help me. I lost my hard earned money and i need it back badly!

              Dear Sir/ Madam,

              I had ordered Airtel HD DTH on 22nd Nov. by making a payment of Rs.2,955/- through IVR using my ICICI Credit card. , Transaction ID: 11977623.

              Later I requested for cancellation due to my financial reasons, and requesting refund for the same.

              So far 4 - 5 times I spoke to customer service people, but not proper update given to me.
              The customer service is asking for all the details everytime I call them, and almost all the times they are disconnecting the call after holding long time.

              One person raised a complaint for refund and gave me the complaint id as[protected].
              But later when I checked, it was not complaint id, but order id.

              I would like to have the money refunded, please help me.

                Airtel Broadband — Disconnected from 15 days

                My Landline and Broadband services are not working from 15 days, have called the helpdesk mulitple time, have written to even Nodal office but no one has yet turned over to resolve the issue and I keep getting misleading emails suggested the issue is fixed.                   This is to notify the concerned people that few days back on 27/11/2010 I got a call from the Airtel Koromangala Branch to convert the prepaid connection to post paid.They sent a person to me to collect all the related documents and 300rs for the postpaid connection.Till date They have not converted to Postpaid and when I try calling them over the numbers they are not entertaining my Queries.The only answer to all question is taht we will soon call u back.....god knows how soon.

                  The sales person named"Kotresh" collected all teh documents and promised to deliver within 2 days.I want to register a compalin against him for false promise and cheationg the client.

                  Please look into the matter and get it resolved soon.I want a solution either convert the connection or refund my money back.

                  I(Ashish Tripathi) took an airtel corporate connection([protected]) which was activated
                  on 4th of Feb.
                  The outgoing call was barred on 10th of Feb for which i call airtel's
                  so called customer CARE center.
                  Some how i managed to speak to a CSR and i got the shock of my life
                  when i heard that there was 6000rs outstanding on my name. When i told
                  them that this no was hardly 1 week old and its credit limit was just
                  500 rs he told that this outstanding amount was for my old No.s
                  ([protected], [protected]). I was surprised as i had never used these
                  no's.
                  On enquiring more about it i got to know that these no's were
                  activated on my name when i was working for hcl comnet. This was
                  another surprise because i have never worked for hcl comnet and i can
                  prove that in court.
                  When i told all these things to a shift manager, ( plz read
                  carefully... ) he advised me to go to gurgaon center of airtel and
                  prove that i never worked for hcl comnet( wow what an advise! can you
                  prove that you have never worked for microsoft hah...) moreover i live
                  in noida i dont have enough time to go to gurgaon and prove.
                  Now i have few querries for you and if possible for everyone in bharti telecom.
                  1) How were 2 no's activated on my name without proper
                  verification(since i have never worked for hcl comnet)
                  2)If it was activated how come i never recieved any bill for those no's.
                  3)If there was any outstanding amount against why wasnt i informed
                  about it. there should have been some sort of communication from
                  airtel's side.
                  4) How come the outstanding amount was transferred into my current
                  no's account without any prior notice or without my information or
                  consent.
                  5)I believe since you guys can activate any no on anyone's name so it
                  being a national security hazzard i would love to go to MEDIA(both
                  print and tele), TRAI and Consumer forum in the interest of national
                  security.
                  6)I feel i am lucky because if these no's would have been used by
                  terrorists or millitants for communication or terror activities i
                  would have been behind the bars by now and on this point i would like
                  to know who would have been held responsible for the mishap.
                  7) Last but not the least Is your customer care center worth it.
                  because i have had horrendous times with your call center. Have you
                  tried to call the customer care center and escalate any issue? try it
                  you will get the shock of your life.
                  If you want to escalate any issue then the first thing that the CSR
                  would do is that he would disconnect the call. And the stupid reasons
                  for not escalating would be that the CSR would not know who his
                  TL, MANAGER or supervisor is.
                  somehow if you manage to convince the CSR escalate then you will have
                  to wait on hold for unknown period of time and if you are patient
                  enough then your call will be either transferred to some other dept
                  which has nothing to do with your case OR if you have asked to speak
                  to a manager then it would be transferred to shift manager. I know its
                  an escalation desk but people there are not earning there salaries.
                  It was really very painfull experince for me to speak to your Call center.
                  Right now the no does not exist they barred my no.I have also file a police
                  complaint regarding this issue.

                  Can you do something in this case.

                  I am forced to give this advise: please change the name of your call
                  center as customer care center rather it should be CUSTOMER HARASSMENT
                  CENTER.

                  Airtel customer care Bad Experience:

                  Bill clarification issue;

                  I had logged this complaint[protected] on 25th august 2008 and without resolving they have closed the complaint. Also not solving this requested problem since 10 days. This type of service is not satisfied and we are using your services more than 2 years.

                  Each time when I call to customer care they are opening different request number and they have given the following request numbers:

                  11082388
                  11232774
                  11275806

                  I am surprising why they give different request numbers each time and finallly they say given the clarifications and closed the request.

                  Take some action and give us the clarifications urgently.

                  I never felt like this situation in entire 2 years but since 10 days am very much harrased with the customer care for not giving proper reason and not taking care of my complaint.

                  AIRTEL ( Post Paid Service) — Mental Harrasment( Withdrwal of services)

                  Dear Sir,


                  I have subscribed post paid servises of AirTEl for last three years( Ph no. [protected]). On 21 May Airtel suddenly stopped my outgoing calls with a sms that i had requested for address change. The fact is that i made no written or verbal request for address change, Even though i made visit to the Chakarta Road, Dehradun( Kanoght Place Office) of Airtel and submitted verified documents to the above mention office and was given an assurance that they will resume outgoing services of my phone by 48 hrs.
                  Since then, I made innumerable request to Airtel for resumption of services but got no satisfactory answer fron any one of the customar care executive, After a fortnight of mental harasment, i irequested AirTel customer care to either resume the service or send me fresh invoice of monthly bill of the date till they provided me the services me i.e. 21 May 2009. So i can formmally delink from Airtel
                  Airtel does not respond to my request till date and sends the monthly charges to me very month on my email address.
                  The above mentioned affair has given me tremendous mental trauma and has been consuming my mental energy.
                  My i seek your help in resolving the issue.

                  hello, this is my complaint for airtel broadband landline services. i applied for address change for my broadband connection on feb 11, 2010.i shifted to my new address in scheme no 114, i applied for transfer again and again but got no reply. Then one day i applied for cancellation and again applied for new number. But when i applied for new number airtel people told me that they will transfer the old number first. In between i submitted rs 1000 for registration of new number. I have the slip of the same, the serial number for which is 2385547. But i got my old connection transfered on 12th march 2010.

                  So my number got transfered after one month. Now i got the bill.My only request to airtel people is, plz give me waiver for the one month that is of 12th feb to 12th march period. And they already have my rs 1000 submitted with them. explain this to the executive whoever calls. Every time they say ok we will not call again and your amount would be waived off. BUt next time again i get a call,its mental harassment using airtel broadband.

                  Plz resolve this problem, i want airtel to waive off my rent for one month and adjust the registration amount in bill.

                  Now outgoing calls on my number is barred due to non-payment of bill. I paid my bill now but ionly thing i want from airtel to return back my registration of rs 1000 and waive off the rent amount of one month.plz resolve my problem.my number is 4068935 and [protected].

                  First of all I would like you to tell this I have experienced worst services from AIRTEL. I had not used fixedline for more than a month. Still I paid an amount INR 1891, after paying 4000 INR regarding my 6 months plan.

                  When I got a call from a call centre, I have been told that an amount of 1000 INR has been wavered and I am require to pay 1891 INR from 2891 INR and then it would be disconnected. So I paid 1891 INR online and AIRTEL dint disconnect the number and generate one more bill and therefore I called a customer care and requested for disconnection. On february 14, again I got a call and the guy told me that I still need to pay 1208 INR. After long discussion, he asked me to pay around 400 INR as final settlement.

                  And again, one more idiotic mail from AIRTEL side today saying I need to pay 785 INR.

                  PS: I completely understand that it is my fault to go for a service of such a worst company having no standards at all.
                  And yes, AIRTEL MAIL EVEN FAILED TO CLEAR FRAUD DETECTION CHECK FROM MSN!!! (image)

                    1) I bought a Airtel Digital TV with Recorder on June 11th 2010 with one month free subscription. Paid Rs 5000 for the recorder. My Customer ID is [protected]

                    2) On July 9th 2010 I paid Rs 3030/- for South Mega pack one year subscription. My subscription expires on July 11th 2011 only

                    3) Eventhough I paid one year subscription in advance I am getting the following message in every 12 to 17 minutes. "My account balance is negative please recharge and if already recharged please ignore" . I can't watch a single program without this message. Sometimes the message appears again if I change the channel.

                    4. I called the Airtel Dth Customer service (12150) many many times in the last six months to resolve the issue. I got few reference numbers [protected], 10644080...Most of the time the customer service person is not giving reference numbers They are saying just LIVE THIS message. This kind of message being displayed everyday reflects very poorly on the companies image, it becomes a cause of embarrassment if viewing TV with the guests and also is a major irritant.

                    5. Now a days customer service is disconnecting my phone after couple of minutes. After paying 8030Rs in advance I am getting this poor service from a public service company.

                    6. Please look into the matter at the earliest. An early action and reply is awaited

                      The support provided by Airtel is frustrating. They claim as one of the best mobile service providers in India but unfortunately the service has deteriorated to worst in past few months/years.

                      Coming to the point in my case, I am one of the unfortunate Airtel subscribers for Mumbai region. I am in roaming in Delhi and once you are in roaming Airtel disables your messaging facility. I had few urgent messages to sent and tried to call multiple numbers to fix the problem/restriction which is a big hassle. I called 121 and then the customer care representative couldn't help me as I was told to call in Maharashtra region for the same. I dialed in another number for Maharshtra number, then going through all the options (press 1..2..9 blah blab blah) the call got disconnected when it was about to reach customer care after 10 minutes. Then next time my luck was with me and somehow got hold of the customer care representative after 8 mins. Let me make it clear that i was in roaming was being charged under roaming call for all this. But the guy again asked me to call on another number for Mumbai. Then whole process started again.

                      I already spent around Rs 30-40 without any outcome. I gave up and decided not to call anymore as seems Airtel is using all this process bar to maximize its profits or what..still not able to figure out.

                      I know the golden days for Mobile service providers have gone but still companies like Airtel will degrade its service to such a low level was unexpected.

                          I have been in possession of the Airtel number [protected] for more than 3.5 years now.
                          Recently I have been out of Maharashtra state for 4-5 months and have not been making calls using this number. This airtel number had been recharged by me with a validity till end of December 2010. When in November i switched on this number I was getting incoming messages. Yet when I landed in Mumbai yesterday 5th December 2010, I haven't been able to use this number nor been able to contact the customer care.
                          today on contacting the local relationship centre I was informed that the number has been deleted.

                          My questions:
                          1) When i had recharged my number with a validity till late December 2010 HOW can Airtel delete the number.
                          2) the customer relationship assistant says that i have to recharge or make a call once every month. i want to ask that why should I be subjected to these restrictions.

                          Solution I expect from Airtel:
                          I expect to get my number back at the earliest.

                          Thanks Rakesh, this is the first time i got a decent reply from the Airtel.
                          Please look into this matter as i am afrid if this number [protected] is launched by Airtel again in market then somebody can buy this number, this will be my huge loss. I request you to please show me a way to get my number back either by reassiging it to me or if this is not possible then i want to buy this number again if it is launch by Airtel.

                              The mobile signal strength is very poor and it keeps fluctuating a lot at P & T Nagar / Thapalthanthi Nagar(Madurai) Tamil Nadu. The calls get disconnected oftern and there is loss of balance for the consumers. During emergency the signal is totally NIL and we run in search of the signal, which is very disappointing and worst.

                              Mobile strength is very poor near K.R.puram, Bangalore. Most of the times, signal is NIL and its very disappointing. This complaint has been reported for several months and no action has been taken by Airtel team.
                              Most of the airtel customers are annoyed with the signal strength and eagerly waiting for MNP to get implemented.

                                I MADE COMPALINT WITH AIRTEL SERVICE MANAGER AND HE TOLD ME THATI WOULD NOT GET SIGNAL IF THERE IS LITTLE BIT OF RAIN.IT IS VERY RIDICULOUS AND I SHOCKED TO HEAR THE ABOVE ANSWER. I DIDNOT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WHEN I WAS HAVING SUN DTH CONNECTION FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I SWITCHED OVER TO AIRTEL MAINLY FOR DTH RECORDER BUT THAT IS ALSO NOT MEETING MY NEEDS SINCE I COULD NOT BE ABLE PLAY BACK THE RECORDED ITEMS FROM THE VIEW CHANNEL AS WELL AS FROM SERIES RECORDINGS.

                                  I am a Airtel mobile pre paid customer my number is [protected].

                                  In the recent months there are several times my money have been looted in Rs.10s and 20 at nights. Few days before on 2.12.2010 night, i saw my balance was around Rs.142 plus.But, in the morning 3.12.2010 i found only Rs.56.55 and nearly 90 rupees was neatly looted.

                                  I gave complaint and they said my amount would be reimbursed if found fault with them in 3 working days and gave complaint number as CBDCC [protected]. I kept quiet.

                                  I put again Rs.120 top up on 3.12.2010 evening (Rs.106 Talktime) and with previous balance, that day talking etc I found by night the balance was around Rs.120 plus. Again the next day morning 4.12.2010 my balance was reduced to Rs.55 plus.

                                  I got angry and when i tried to contact the customer care from morning to evening they never picked up my call seeing my number. In the evening when i cached them up via another mobile she said, she will send the second complaint number immediately to my mobile. But till the time no response.

                                  More over for the past one month i could not make at least a three minutes call without several cut in the middle. That means to a simple one minute talk i need to spend four calls amount and comes about four times the unnecessary cost which goes to Airtel owner. I feel depressed as to why our Govt and Trai are not concerned in these like mega looting in an exponential way from the millions of innocent mobile users. Though seems like mini leakages in one rupee and two rupees per customer, with millions o[censored]sers Airtel is looting in billions. More or less, the situation remains same with other mobile service providers too. But in the public opinion as with the dealers too, Airtel is the prime looter, they say! See, to have clarification on some thing, if you want to talk to the customer care officer you have to pay 50NP/3min to Airtel. What a shame? Being a mobile service provider they tax customer for customer care calls! Here after every one can do the same thing in India!

                                  My pain is, what ever the consumer says in the consumer court it is not going to be accountable since we have no data to prove any thing. Because, the mobile providers only keeping the datas and never the Govt or any common Org, which can be manipulated at their whims and fancy.

                                  See, we cannot prove our repeated complaints and their negligence.
                                  We cannot prove their excess billing.
                                  We cannot repent or retake our money by accidental touch of any buttons in our mobile.
                                  We cannot have any receipt for our money and their service accountability.

                                  It is not like going to a hotel, eating and paying bill directly and if any fault is there with their bills and service we can argue and do some thing. But, It is like, fighting with the invisible devils and the devils can wound you, call you, bill you excess, torture you but you cannot retaliate in any way!!

                                  What a system and what a Trai and Govt authorities to look after their citizens!!!! Great India!

                                  AirTel — Airtel is looting money

                                  Last Saturday I received an SMS stating "Thank you for choosing De De Thoda Pyar as your hello tune". Previously my hello tune was "Pratham Tula Vandito". I checked from another number whether my hello tune is changed. It actually changes. I never attemted to change my hello tune. It automatically changes. Before this I call a person whose hello tune was the same. But how can it automatically changes. I asked customer care executive. He agreed that I did not attempted to change the hello tune. And assured me that my hello tune will be changed in 24 hours. When I called on Monday. The CCE said since there used to be holiday on Saturday and Sunday the your request remains pending I will forward it. Then on Wednesday when I spoke to CCE he said somebody might have send SMS to change the hello tune. My 20 Rs was also deducted. I dont want this hello tune I want my hello tune back and also my Rs. 20 back. Airtel previously also played lots of jokes with me. Once in a call he was hearing me some hello tune songs. Then he asked me to press 1 to listen it again. I pressed 1 and suddenly the call disconnected. And I was charged some Rs. nearabout 15 to 30. Again once somebody gave me miss call. When I attempted to call back it says this number does not exist. Then after 2 misscall I suddently received the phone. He says there offer from Airtel My number is selected in a draw and I will be deducted Rs. 15 per month and my all outgoing calls will be Rs. 0.30 paise per minutes. It also proved a hoax.

                                  i bought an airtel sim card [protected], [protected] two weeks later. i have submitted all the documents, even the incoming calls for both the cards has been barred for twice. i bought the sim for rs75 and the talk time was rs6 and immediately i recharged for RS50, and i had a balance of rs49. after some days rs6 has been debited from my account and the customer care saya that it has been added mistakenly.sim card was brought in the name of MR.K.RAJENDRAN.NEYVELI.

                                  Airtel Mobile — Looting the money

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  I lost Rs 30/- from my airtel mobile account today morning. I had only Rs 22/; in my account and hence my current account balance is Rs -7/-. On enquiry with the customer service dept. I came to know that it has been deducted as the value added charges. I made them clear that there was no such services activated by me and they agreed to give me my money back then itself. But yet I havent received my money back and further calls to customer service are getting disconnected by them. I was in an isolated place when I lost my money and could'nt make some calls which were extremely crucial for my business.

                                  I never expected such a dirty behaviour from a reputed company like airtel. I here by request to punish the concerned with needed punishments so that this type of things shoould not happen in future.

I have been with Airtel from the time i first got a mobile phone and now I have 3 postpaid connections with Airtel and they haven't stopped making my life miserable. This is the worse service provider, every other rep, you speak will give you different response.

                                    I am holder of "AIRTEL PREPAID PLAN" Mobile Connection and the No. is [protected]. Of late, a sum of Rs.30/- is quite frequently debited towards "Value Added Services" like HELLO TUNES, CHATS etc., without our requiring any of those services. As soon as the amount is taken, I have to contact 198, talk to the Consumer Executives after waiting of minimum of TEN MINUTES, request them to reverse the Debit entry of Rs.30/-. Immediately, it will be done, but the very next day or on the SAME Day Rs.30/- will again be taken away for some other services, not asked for. I am fed up with this harrasment and I have already decided NOT TO TOP UP the connection any further in future.
