Airtel online bill payment as well as customer service sucks big time...
I had paid my postpaid bill online thru credit card. I did not print/save my transaction ID.
My credit card statement reflects the bill payment. Also, I get a email from my credit card bank confirming the transaction.
After few days I start getting msgs from airtel saying my bill is overdue... blah blah blah...
I speak to customer care... they dont bother to understand me or extend any further help.
I keep getting msgs for payment of the bill. Frustrating...and since I am on roaming... I also have to pay for calling customer care...
Things start getting worse... airtel billing department starts calling me about my unpaid bill. what the [censored] ! forget about the bill payment made on time... I have to bear the cost of incoming calls from airtel themself... such a crap customer service...
I am definitely switching to vodafone... dont know if vodafone service is good... but I have to teach airtel a lesson by just throwing their sim card on their [censored]in face !

    Sir, I was using airtel mobile No.[protected] for the last more than 2 years. As I did not want the number any longer I was not using it from the middle of 2008.

    As I was paying monthly charges without using the number, I decided to get the number disconnected. Accordingly I visited Airtel (M-5 Connaught Place Office) on 31.10.2008 with a letter for disconnection of the number. The officer there did not accept my letter but told me to talk on the airtel No.52222 to record my request online. I promptly did so from there itself and the executive who attended my call said the number will be disconnected within 7 days.

    I was shocked when I received a letter dt.17.11.08 from Airtel asking me to pay an outstanding amount of Rs.234.48/. The letter also gave the number of one Mr. Pawan Rawat [protected] for queries. I spoke to him on 15.12.08 and he assured me that the line has been disconnected and I need not pay any bills. He also said that the accounts people will set right the accounts.

    I am sorry to state here that I am still receiving bills from Airtel for this number. I have written to airtel customer services also. I wish to reiterate here that the number has not been used for the last more than 6 months and I do not know why it has not been cancelled despite requests. I give below the details of last 2 bills paid by me before requesting the disconnection of the number:

    Receipt No.1562382 dt. 18.10.2008 issued by M/s Quick Financial Services for Rs.410/-
    Receipt No.[protected] dt.31.10.2008 for Rs.355.00 paid at Airtel M-5, Con. Place office (final bill as on 31.10.2008)

    Despite reminders, airtel have not disconnected the number and are sending me bill everymonth. They even include SMS charges on this line whereas the number has not been used for the last several months. Who is sening SMS @ Rs.10 per message from this number is a mystery unknown to me. I think this is a way to earn profit by unfair means. Will anybody help??

    Airtel — Continue to receive bills despite disconnection

    I shifted out of Bangalore in January and went to the Airtel showroom on 100 ft road, Indiranagar on 24 January to disconnect my mobile connection [protected]. At this point, all dues were settled. Despite this, I continue to receive bills. On calling them up, I was told that I should have migrated the connection. However, I have relocated and have no use for an Airtel connection. I also do not desire it after all the unpleasantness that they caused to disconnect the connection.

    Despite writing to them for the last two months, I have again received a bill for the month of April. This is undue harassment and should be acted upon.
    my airtel sim card is blocked why because some unkownperson pressed the buttons while opening the mobile...my mobile no. is [protected]. please unblock and release the PUK code to run my number.

        I am airtel government sim card holders, airtel people at the time of giving the government card, told it would be required to refill the card and you would get full talk time on the recharge coupon, without any validity of days. the scheme was in active since 2007. suddenly the airtel people have stopped the scheme of full talk time recharge 5 days back. It is their tendency, to first lure the people by telling it is lucrative and once the sim card is taken, to disconnect the scheme. It is unfair on the part of the airtel. i.eBharati communications to cheat the people.

        Govt — talktime balnce information

        My no [protected] prepaid connection .Since last 15 days i am not getting the balance information after making calls as well as topping up twice with sufficient amount .Now it is in roaming . I can make calls till the sufficient balance but i could not get the info after call ending are service request with *212#.


        I could not contact your customer care service executive on no[protected] because the call is kept in waiting for hours all the time and no one is responding to my calls after properly guiding through your ivrs system.

        It is happening every time and puting me in waiting with your service voice prompts only. So it is wasting of our time and nessary services are not getting by your customer executives who has to recive the calls.

        Finally request to update the balance talktime of my prepaid acoount and activate the balance amount services and inform me

        Air tel with great difficulty gives Govt Card and suddenly has withdrawn the same. Further, when validity expires and the gullible customer recharges incl validity extension smartly changes the scheme automatically and the customer is helpless. In the era of technology overtaking everything and airtel also to voo the customer has adopted the same WHY AN SMS IS NOT SENT SEEKING CONFIRMATION FROM CUSTOMER THAT THE SCHEME WILL CHANGE DUE TO SUCH RECHARGE SOUGHT BY THE CUSTOMER AND SEEK AUTO REPLY.
        IS TELECOM REGULATORY AUTHORITY NOT SUPPOSED TO INTERVENE AND STOP THIS LOOTING BY SUNIL MITTAL AND CO

          i took airtel postpaid-corporate sim.
          my billing period is from 20th -19th of next month..
          i activated sms booster pack and std booster pack.
          i requested them(airtel customet care) to change my bill plan, without deactivating my booster packs.
          they too did so.
          but without prior notice to me, they deactivated my sts booster pack.
          i came to know this while checking my bill plan with the customer care.
          to convince me, they gave the wrong information, that my calls to std airtel is just one rupee, even if i don use std booster pack.
          so, i felt relaxed and used for calling often to std airtel numbers.
          when i called them again 2 days back only, they told me that no such offer for std airtel exists.
          am totally fed up.pls take action against them

          AirTel — Cancellation of Booster Pack

          Reached airtel for past one week regarding my cancellation of bosster pack due to their technical reasons. I am loosing all my balance and my time to the airtel for no reason. when ever I call the statement would be 48 hours to recover the same. Its a worthless operator could not find the reason why issue has been happened and could not resolve the customers problem at all. I am using airtel for past 3 years and I spent minimum of 400Rupees per month. But only money makes motto for them if any issue arise no one is there to sort it out.

            Dear Sir'

            I am having a coonection of Airtel since 1996 and using same company's phone.Now I am very disappoint about their services. This pre paid account and sombody has taken my outgoing calls details and harrass me. This thing had broken my happy family life too, created so much problems in my family and other's family who is my best friend too. I have full proof of that with prinout of my calls . How is it possible i dont understand. So I wnat to take action aganist that please suggest me what to do. Thanks

              I had been receiving my airtel bills via email until october and then it suddenly stopped. I kept asking them to send me the billls and nothing happened. Then I stopped paying in december. After all dont I have a right to see my bill before paying?

              Their customer care agents call me on an average 2-3 times every day and I have been politely requesting them to send me a bill. However, none of them seem to understand and all they seem to care about is whether I have paid my balance.

              What do I do? Do i not have a right to see my bill before I am obliged to make any payments. Not to mention the pestilence I have to put up with on a daily basis? This saga has been going on for nearly 5 weeks now and I have really run out of patience. They have the most incompetent customer care agents in the whole world. Is it that difficult to send me a bill?
              I am having a connection no. [protected] in the name of virendra kumar vats.

              I had never applied / approach to avail the benefits of MMS Services by Airtel.
              and also not using the same.
              I am getting SMS from airtel customer care that - u are using the services of MMS and amount in lieu of that will be deducted...from your (my) account.

              For the last few months when I sms to some one it automatacelly shown as MMS to the receiver end.

              You are requested to kindly return all the deductions wrongly deducted from your side towardes wrong MMS messages by you...

                SINCE 12TH FEB.2009, MY SIM CARD IS NOT WORKING ALTHOUGH I HAD REFILLED THE SAME ON 2ND FEB.2009. ALSO WHEN I TRY TO CALL IN THIS NO. SOME ELSE IS RESPONDING AND ARGUING THAT HE GOT THE SAME CONNECTION FROM ONE OF AIRTEL GALLERY.MY VALIDITY OF SIMCARD WAS UPTO MAY 2009. I AM NOT GETTING ANY RESPONSE FROM AIRTEL EXECUTIVE.

                pl. check my sim problem. bill payment is nil. then what is the problem

                My prepaid Sim No. [protected] is a life time no. On the end of march 2009 my no. is become invalid on my phone. The Airtel Costemer was not give me satisfactory information & this activity is made by airtel without give me any information. This is a wronge path for costmer service. When I connect the costmer care they are ignore me and cut off the line. I am not satisfy for the service of AIRTEL.
                If any rule-regulation hold this company answer this comment & give me a reason of invalid sim.

                cheater airtel did the same with me ...my no was [protected]... life time validity ...they canceled the sim with out any intimation ...emailed nodal officer no reply no phone call this company should be sued had it been in any other country like uk or us

                  Airtel barred my outgoing without any solid proof, they told me I crossed my credit limit but when I cross checked my both billed and unbilled amount was not crossing the credit limit. When I spoke to floor manager he accepted his mistake but when I told him if you made mistake then start my outgoing calls. Instead of allowing my outgoing calls he started forcing me to pay some amount then they will start my outgoing calls and by that time even they didn't generated my bill also. Same day I lodged complain in Airtel Bangalore nodal office but that was also waste. They didn't responded to any of my mails only acknowledgement I'm getting but they are not taking any step. Suggest me if any solution you have.

                    and then it is closed ...cos i am new connection only for GPRS
                    it is[protected]. and this number is now in my using with Airtel mobile office...long time it is in use..
                    before airtel is mobile office charge perday Rs.15-00 and now it is per day Rs.20-00. Thats no problem if youhave Charged of Rs.5-00 extra perday. it is no problem.
                    Problem is last 3 month here in my Location "Sayyedwada" near sayyedwada masjid. my Home...
                    at my Home i can not use Airtel mobile and mobile office...
                    cos. in my Home no Netwrok. it is shows only 1 or 2 scroll of Network...and every 2 or 5 minit i see that cell info changed..it is shows some time " Gujarati nagar" some time "Vania Wad" some time "New bus stand" and Once in a week "Lalpura Road"...
                    i am not understand that why it is change net work info.
                    after every 2 or 5 minit...
                    And why Airtel net work is problem last 3 month.i can not use this service.i have change also my Handset nokia 6230i and also Nokia 6630.Here Net work problem all time a notice display "Could not loacated remote servar" and some time "Select operator" Either i am always my setting as Manuleandi select Airtel.
                    i am many time give my feedback to coustomer car 121 and ihave talk with respected executive. and they lition me. they also ask me that within 10 days my problem will be solve. But here no any result...my problem is not solve...

                      MY NEPHEW ROBINSON GEORGE HAVING AN MOBILE NO [protected] HAVING POST PAID CELLULAR A/C NO[protected] HAD MET WITH TRAIN ACCIDENT AT VIKHROLI, MUMBAI ON 21ST MAY 2008 FOR WHICH I HAVE ATTACHED DEATH CERTIFICATE, IN THE ACCIDENT HIS MOBILE WAS CRUSHED TO PIECES, THAT WAS ON MAY 21ST THEN THE AIR TEL BILLING DEPT SEND US THE BILL FOR HIS USAGE BILL NO[protected] DTD 06TH JUNE 2008, FOR WHICH WE PAID CASH AT YOUR AIR TEL SHOW ROOM RS 2890/- ON 13TH JUNE 2008 AND I TOLD THE EXECUTIVE MR WASIM ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND HE IMMEDIATELY PUT AN REQUEST WITH ONE EXECUTIOVE MR NITIN OF AIRTEL HEAD OFFICE TO STOP THE SERVICE AND HE PROVIDED ME THE REQUEST NO AS 17083485 AND HE ASSURED ME WITHIN ONE WEEK IT WILL BE DONE.

                      AFTER ONE MONTH I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND ANOTHER BILL SEND FOR RS 785 AND U CAN SEE FROM THE BILL THERE WAS NO CALL CHARGES, SURPRISINGLY THE SIM WAS BROKEN INTO 2 PIECES THEN ALSO U HAVE SEND THE BILL, MAYBE U PEOPLE NETWORK REACHES TO THE HEAVEN ALSO.

                      AGAIN I TOOK THE BILL TO AIRTEL OFFICE TO MR WASIM AGAIN HE WAS HELPFUL AND HE FOUGHT MY CASE AS I HAD SHOWN HIM THE DEATH CERTIFICATE, THIS TIME HE HAD AN ARGUMENT WITH HIS SUPERIRORS SAYING THAT MYSELF( MR LENIN VARGHESE- UNCLE OF ROBINSON) HAD PERSONALLY CAME AND HAD PAID THE BILL AND REQUESTED TO STOP THE SERVICED, FOR WHICH AIR -TEL GAVE ME THE REQUEST NO 17083485, FOR WHICH HIS BOSSES GOT FURIOUS WITH HIM AND AGREED THAT IT HAS BEEN MISTAKE FROM BILLING DEPARTMENT, HENCE FORTH SUCH THING WILL NOT HAPPENED, AND MR WASIM ASSURED ME EVERY THING HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OFF.

                      NOW AFTER6 MONTHS I AM GETTING LEAGL NOTICE FROM THE LAWYER OF THE AIR-TEL DEPT FOR NOT PAYING THE BILL. THIS IS ABSOLUETLY RIDICILOUS AIR -TEL IS MAKING MONEY OVER DEAD.

                      MY NEPHEW ROBINSON GEORGE HAVING AN MOBILE NO [protected] HAVING POST PAID CELLULAR A/C NO[protected] HAD MET WITH TRAIN ACCIDENT AT VIKHROLI, MUMBAI ON 21ST MAY 2008 FOR WHICH I HAVE ATTACHED DEATH CERTIFICATE, IN THE ACCIDENT HIS MOBILE WAS CRUSHED TO PIECES, THAT WAS ON MAY 21ST THEN THE AIR TEL BILLING DEPT SEND US THE BILL FOR HIS USAGE BILL NO[protected] DTD 06TH JUNE 2008, FOR WHICH WE PAID CASH AT YOUR AIR TEL SHOW ROOM RS 2890/- ON 13TH JUNE 2008 AND I TOLD THE EXECUTIVE MR WASIM ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND HE IMMEDIATELY PUT AN REQUEST WITH ONE EXECUTIOVE MR NITIN OF AIRTEL HEAD OFFICE TO STOP THE SERVICE AND HE PROVIDED ME THE REQUEST NO AS 17083485 AND HE ASSURED ME WITHIN ONE WEEK IT WILL BE DONE.

                      AFTER ONE MONTH I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND ANOTHER BILL SEND FOR RS 785 AND U CAN SEE FROM THE BILL THERE WAS NO CALL CHARGES, SURPRISINGLY THE SIM WAS BROKEN INTO 2 PIECES THEN ALSO U HAVE SEND THE BILL, MAYBE U PEOPLE NETWORK REACHES TO THE HEAVEN ALSO.

                      AGAIN I TOOK THE BILL TO AIRTEL OFFICE TO MR WASIM AGAIN HE WAS HELPFUL AND HE FOUGHT MY CASE AS I HAD SHOWN HIM THE DEATH CERTIFICATE, THIS TIME HE HAD AN ARGUMENT WITH HIS SUPERIRORS SAYING THAT MYSELF( MR LENIN VARGHESE- UNCLE OF ROBINSON) HAD PERSONALLY CAME AND HAD PAID THE BILL AND REQUESTED TO STOP THE SERVICED, FOR WHICH AIR -TEL GAVE ME THE REQUEST NO 17083485, FOR WHICH HIS BOSSES GOT FURIOUS WITH HIM AND AGREED THAT IT HAS BEEN MISTAKE FROM BILLING DEPARTMENT, HENCE FORTH SUCH THING WILL NOT HAPPENED, AND MR WASIM ASSURED ME EVERY THING HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OFF.

                      NOW AFTER6 MONTHS I AM GETTING LEAGL NOTICE FROM THE LAWYER OF THE AIR-TEL DEPT FOR NOT PAYING THE BILL. THIS IS ABSOLUETLY RIDICILOUS AIR -TEL IS MAKING MONEY OVER DEAD.

                      I am Amit, My airtel # [protected] (prepaid Number) I am using this number since past 7 years.I am in USA and its on Roaming now.

                      I am resident of jalandher (Punjab).Air tel company took money from a person and gave all my incoming and out going details.I lost my business, my privacy and i am very much disturbed.This means any one can bribe air tel and get details (cash card- Prepaid).He sent me the call details both incoming and out going to my e mail address.Can you please say me where you want me to file a FIR / Police complaint.

                      Can some one pls help me what the course of action you recommend me regarding this act.

                        i'm a gazetted officer serving the govt of india... i bought an airtel number a month ago and i never asked for or activated any value added services on my number... a few days back i got a msg that rs 99 have been deducted from my account for value pack...then rs 10 for some reason... then again i got my number recharged and again i got the same message... and again 99 rs were deducted making it rs 208 in all... on asking customer care i was told that i had subscribed for some value pack from some nazaratech.com site... i don't use net on my cell phone and have never even heard of such a site... and this is a very easy reason to give for some technical fault from the company's side... the matter is of security of number... how can someone subscribe for something on my number without my consent... i hope airtel looks back onto this and deactivate all additional services on my number n refund the balance... i just need a number to make calls that's it...

                          I have got my postpaid connection migrated to prepaid, my mobile no is [protected], post paid connection is disconnecte on 13/02/09, but prepaid connection is not activated till today 8 pm, i have contacted airtel retail shop krupali teleservices, p j ext, davanagere from where i got new SIM and have paid Rs.148/- for recharge on 07/02/09.but theyhave not been able to activatr the SIM. they are simply telling that it will done today in morning /evening. ihave visited them 5 times and telephoned them about 10 times. but nothing has happened.so i am thinking of cancelling your service and going for other service.hope this matter will taken seriously and improve your service.

                              I have a Life time mobile connection of Airtel 4 days ago I applied for a GPRS connection for my mobile I have a china mobile. the service activated 4 days ago but I did not get any settings from the company now when I call the help line they give a no for a data call center but the data call center says a recorded message " please subscribe the GPRS service to reach here" 30 Rs has been deducted from my balance and still i don't started the internet on my mobile handset call center executive gave me a date and time to respond but there is no response from them.                               i called customer care center for the Queries related to my dissatisfaction of the gprs.the call centre executive has not given me any proper answer to my Queries.and not a satisfaction assistance provided to me.as such a big name company is doing this to its users.and not providing any information related to the problem.my gprs gets disconnected every time from my mobile and from my pc.i want a satisfactory answer to my problem i m facing.my airtel number is [protected].a sim of jaipur(rajasthan)

                                Airtel — Ignoring Cancellation request

                                Complaint:
                                This is regarding a request to disconnect my connection on Aug (21 or 23) upon losing my phone...
                                The executive said, he'd do it immediately and was done...
                                I randomly called the number today ( two months later) and found that it is still active and some strangers using my SIM for which i was paying the bill....

                                I spoke to many customer executives whis was not put to any effect.... One of them tells me to contact the person who's using the phone to give it back to me... yeah right... if all people were so noble!

                                I have been using their services for a long time with around 6 connections with this plan.... I expect you'll to do the right thing...

                                Airtel — Vulgur Hello Tune by Custmor Care Person .....

                                i m disturb by customer care representative bcz any one person changed my hello tune and apply one vulgur tune.

                                I must say Airtel is least bothered about customers these days. I have been a victim of horrible customer service in Gujarat. A few details of the poor service..

                                1) No english speaking customer care executives - Press any option and you will land to some one speaking in Gujarati. When you say it that you want to talk to someone who can understand english, you will be told that you have selected the wrong option. I have made complains regarding this but, after so many days they don't even bother to call back or intimate of the status of the complain. Sometimes, the gujarati speaking customer care executive would try speaking in english and you will find that neither you nor s/he understands each other. It has been really horrible dealing with them.

                                2) Will someone care about the complaints made? - Of the complains registered nobdy cares if it is solved or not. I dont know if there is some time limit to solve theose complaints. My handset is showing wrongly in their database, because of which i face many difficulty in configuring my mobile for MMS, GPRS etc. I have made several complaints and still it is not solved.

                                3) Customer care executives should be trained also to listen: It happened when i tried to ask how i can use an ICICI debit card to recharge my mobile. Mentioned on the website (http://www.airtel.in/m-commerce/mobile_pay.htm?cid=undefined) is that i can use debit card or SBI banking account to make payments. When i called customer care she repeated 5 times that i should send an Airtel to 543219 for the configuration. I mentioned each time that i have done and i am not getting the configuration for debitcard.. however she continued "sir please, send the message to 543219"

                                I sincerely think, customer service is the face for the identity of an organisaiton. If it is wrong, in long time nothing is gonna help . Will someone look after it?
                                Airtel will soon shut down... the way it going...stupid customer care...

                                Airtel customer service is really pathetic. Hopeless. I have been trying to get to the custimer care executive by dialling on to 121 but cannot get through...

                                The hello tune menu on net si not updated after the fire incident. It does not have any good song as it earlier had.

                                Firstly Airtel has a lousy customer service in Mumbai. And, lousy is just an understatement. Fortunately for me I shifted to a different service provider. Calling up someone in the city who has an Airtel number and getting the person on the line is a milestone achieved. Cause all that you get to hear, "The number you are calling is currently unavailable." But then there are some people who have airtel connection cause they chose to be with the lower tariff which airtel has to compensate for their bad connection and even worse customer service. I had to call the customer service number [protected], to get some help for a friend of mine, cause he had given up on it. Firstly getting to a rep is a task in itself and when you get to one, you feel like having someone to shake the rep to his/her senses. I got connected to this rep who sounded absolutely disinterested in answering the call, but on further conversation it I felt as though he must have been drinking all day, cause that the way he sounded. And, to top it all, on all the 3 occasions that I called up, they would only answer 2 queries and then eventually hang up on you. Is this a way that Airtel is trying to save money by restricting the time the people spend on the toll free number. And, I had call to call up thrice cause each person I spoke to seemed very unsure of what they were talking, and now I am not sure whom to trust cause each one of them gave me different answers for the same question. So, ultimately I gave up too, and my friend and I went to the nearest stationery shop and got him a new connection from the same service provider that I use. I am sure this is not the first time Airtel must be hearing such a complaint, in fact I guess for them this is a way of life or probably business as usual.
                                i totally agree...this is one big problem with Airtel...in New Delhi also..the customer care service is pathetic...they never attend calls..if they do, they cut them in between.
                                keep us on hold for a very very long time and then cut the line as if we ppl r sum low class ppl begging for money !... whats the use of Customer care..if Airtel does not Care for customers!

                                I have purchased a sim on 26 Oct 08 bearing phone no. [protected] from Mobile Guru shop at Raja park near Julie Furnitures Jaipur branch. This shop keeper had taken my ID twice for same purchase. After repeated request for activation of my sim till today this has not been activated for un known reasons.                                 Airtel Prepaid Card — Rubbish service I had experienced

                                I am trying to activate GPRS service on my Moto L9 cellphone [protected] but these pune customer care guys are always given wrong information in rude language. They dont have sence HOW TO SPEAK WITH THE CUSTOMER. Airtel customer care people behaves like seek. Either they are uneducated or they are unexperienced.

                                The matter goes this way. I am working in a reputed company and a customer of Airtel.( Personally having 3 connection in my family plus my company has landlines and broadband connection of AIRTEL) and we are running some scheme. On this regard I send SMS to all my save contact in my mobile. Unfortunately I also had the number of Mr. Sanjay Jhadav who was assigned by AIRTEL to assist me for my problems for network complain no 19289106 dtd 14.11.2008 time 15:02:59

                                I travel to India every year and I am utterly disgusted with the Airtel Customer Care support service. I had purchased 3 Prepaid Mobile Phone SIM cards in March 2009 as a channel of communication with my children who are studying in India. Just 3 months thereafter, Airtel had indiscrimately DEACTIVATED the SIM Cards.
                                I have been made a victim of MISREPRESENTATION and DECEIT by the Airtel retail outlet in Himachal Pradesh where I had purchased the SIM Cards. The person who had sold me the SIM Cards assured me that the SIM Cards are for "LIFE TIME VALIDITY" and based on this assurance I had loaded 6, 000 Rs (or 2, 000 Rs on each mobile phone).

                                I have written 2 emails to the Nodal Officer (H.P) and it's been more than 1 month now and my Complaint had not been attended to, despite me providing the supporting documentary evidence. I have just submitted a 3rd Complaint with the Appellate Authoirty, Airtel India.

                                I am eagerly waiting for a RESPONSE from the Appellate Authority and I will NOT give up until I get an explanation from the Company.

Each time I recharged my mobile the company deduct Rs. 30 for defferent things like hello tunes, music, etc. which I had not subscribed. This annoyed me since I can manage only to recharge Rs. 30, or Rs 50 just to call my dear ones at home who live far away and Rs 30 is being deducted each time is something unfair.

                                I too have had an experienced of money being deducted for hello tunes to which I never subscribed. I received an alert that my subscription to hello tune is renewed and that I would be charged Rs. 30 per day and with that alert Rs 30 was deducted. This is unfair to the customers. Sometimes some kinds of different alearts charging Rs3. To charge for something unsubscribed is unfair and that too with Airtell known for providing good services. This kind of cheating is a bloat for the company. I already posted a complaint but nothing happened. I request the Appealant authority to kindly do the needful, please check on such behaviors of those responsible.

                                Wherever I go my network goes with me really it has very good network service but from last 1 mon I am facing a problem regarding my bill plan HCLCUG 249 .This plan has beeb reduce into CUG175 so why I pay 249 for it .                                 Annoying customer service from Airtel. Every time I place a call, I am put on hold for 10 minutes or more and no one responds after that!! This is after the customer service rep asking for some of the intro details, my name, land line number etc. They get to check the phone number and stuff for the records and never get back to the line!!

                                if airtel Employees want to know how to serve their consumer ask them to visit Vodafone service center situated at nanganalur and observe how the showroom Manager Sudharson is handling consumer complaints , he is so smart at handling complaints i have seen him trice handling complaints and he was the best of all

                                i am not asking the international level of service like mentioned but at-least an acknowledgment and a proper response , which i am not going to get for the life time

Even after talking to the supervisors at the customer care my complaint has got no solution. Fighting for last 25 days just to get my Airtel Dish installed at Chandigarh, i am now praying to God to send some angel to me as Airtel cannot afford an Engineer.

                                O My Lord, Please give some money to Airtel so that they can afford an engineer to give after sales services to customers.                                 26-June - A person named Tarun came to my flat for collection of Instrument.

                                I have booked Airtel DTH connection with the Customer ID-[protected] (2490/- super value sports) on 28th Sep i.e, on Tuesday early morning through online payment, your representative had called me on the same day and confirmed the registrations and i was told that within 48hrs Airtel person will contact me for further processing on installation but till now i have not received any call. Its a week now from the day of booking.

                                I even had called the customer care to en-quire about the status on Saturday i.e on 1st of October but till now i have not seen any progress.

                                I want to the cancel the connection as i am not satisfied with the service being offered.                                 I have 2 services with Airtel. Service # [protected] & [protected].

                                I make my payments for both the numbers through ebilling.

                                For the #[protected] I made a payment through ebilling on 05/01/2011 for Rs. 450/-, 5th happens to be the bill cycle date, before making a payment I sent an SMS to 121 for the bill amount, I got a return SMs for rthe amount of Rs. 430/-, i was not informed that this was the unbilled amount and the actual bill would be generated the next day as 5th is the bill cycle date. On 25/01/2011 I got an SMS from Airtel informing me that Rs. 142/- was still outstanding on the bill, I was suprised as I had already made a payment on the account. So I called customer service on 121 for clarification on the same, the call was connected to Rupesh Customer Service Rep, he could not given an explanation but could not converse in english also, all he said was that it was rental charges, when i informed him that rental is taken in advance so how could it be generated after the bill was paid. So I asked for a supervisor, my call was placed on hold without being informed of the hold time, after staying on hold for 8 mins the call was disconnected. I did not get a call back.

                                So I visited the airtel gallery for a clarafication on the same, I visited the gallery at Charat Singh Colony, Andheri - Kurla Road, Chakala, Andheri East. After waiting for 15 mins, I met the store Rep Gulzar Sayyed, I asked her for an explaination about the bill, I pointed out to her that not only do I make my payments before time I also make extra payments more than my bill an excess of almost Rs. 20 to 50/-, she stated that it does not refelect anywhere on the systems that payments were made in excess of the bill amount. She could not give a valid explaination she kept stating that the charges was for SMS sent, I pointed out to the fact that on the current tarrif that I am I do get free SMS. She then got a call on her personal phone which she was busy attending to, when I pointed out to her that I was waiting to get my issue sorted out she raised her voice and started shouting that she was attending to a call from airtel, so I asked for a store manager it took almost 20 minutes for the store manager to addend to my query. The store manager admitted to the fact that payments were excess than the bill amount.

                                While I was waiting for the store manager, I called the nodal officer, My call was connected to Satya, I explained to him why I called. He informed me that he could not access the account as the systems were down and I would need to call back in 4hrs, he did not even offer a call back when I pointed this out to him he stated that he could not make out calls and if I was looking for a solution then I would need to call back. So i stated that if this was the attitude of not only of the customer service reps but as well as a nodal officer then I would be happy to move to an other service provider, so he stated that if I was looking to port out my number then why did I call for a resolution.

                                Well if this is Customer Service then I have not else to say......
                                worst customer care from airtel. I ever seen this kind bad responds.they are just ignoring the customers problems . they already took my 260 Rs from my balance I asked the reason their not giving ant responds.

                                I requested the Airtel Customer care that I have to submit some document to my office to be eligible for the telephone expenses, from the date I became its prepaid mobile customer,
                                as in post paid service there is proof of the mobile services the customer uses, the same is not available for prepaid users, so I just requested the customer care to just tell me the specific date in March 2010 when I became its customer, but the customer care is as usual very unhelpful and rude.

The issue is not resolved but airtel customer care people are closed the issue.Surprising thing is here no body contacted us till 30th even from Escalation desk.Finally we have lost hope on airtel and arranged local engineer and we paid him the extra money.                                 I am a customer of Airtel DTH. My customer id is[protected].The installation was done by AIRTEL all in a hurry with no proper tools .The signal is disappearing every now then and it is so difficult and cumbersome even to make a complaint.The local persons do not pay any attention and direct the customer to make the complaint at the call center which wastes at least 100 attempts with no response or result.My personal check up of the installation reveals that the disc is fixed with only one bolt and this is probably the cause for the problem as the disc gets disturbed with slight wind.How long should I suffer for this bad installation and still go on paying your monthly charges even without getting uninterrupted signal?
                                Recently, you announced a bonus of Rs. 40 on recharge of Rs. 410.I paid this after confirming from your local dealer that I shall be getting this bonus as announced by you.However, to my surprise my account balance does not reflect this.                                 i am a airtel customer since 2 years.my customer id is [protected], the connection is registered on my name i.e VARUN SACHDEV.in these 2 years i have faced severaal issues regarding the service given by airtel digital tv.firstly, after purchasing the connection, i had to change my location, to relocate, i had to call many tyms, atlast, when the executive came, he demanded me rs 500 for relocating.when i enquired with the customer care, i was told all da the charges will be deducted from my a/c.then complaned about the executive who demanded money, again, i had to go a long process n had to call multiple types, atlast the same executive was sended, this type he dint demanded money, but he jus disconected n just threw my dish on the door, regarding which i again complained.then afta relocating, i had to call again, n again the same executive was send to refit the kit.again he demanded me money and i again rejected.he left then, after he went, the channel quality was good, but after 3 days, i found the same executive in my building, he came to fit someone elses connection, and just did some malfunctioning with my dish, to which my channel quality was again affected.for which i again registered a complaint, then another executive came to set the dish after 3 days, it took me around 20 days, just for relocation of connection.

                                now, around a month back, a again called on customer care number, to add a few new channels, for which i was told, that the dish has to be again set to some new satellite, again a executive came, and again he demanded me money, to which i rejected.again the same process repeated, again he came in my society, n again he did sumthing with my dish, i came to know that he came in my society by checking the society entry register.
                                again i complained about it afta a week, my complained was registered, i was given a date and time, bt no executive was send.today i had called the customer care number 4th time, n i m again given a new date, a new time, n m sure, if by chance a executive comes, he will again demand me for money.
                                i am just fedup by airtel digital tv.the custmoer care is not ready to take any strict action, when i ask to transfer my call to their superiors, m being kept on wait for atleast 20 mins, and then the call gets disconected.
                                now if i wont b getting proper service within 2 days, would prefer to dumb my set top box n dish. so please mail a address on which i can parcel ma set top box, because i cant tolerate more humilitation, just for a box worth 2k.

                                From the very first minute/day of installation B&W with very POOR QUALITY PICTURE is displayed. On 25/May/2011 itself, I did call Airtel helpdesk & reported that picture is shown in B&W and the quality is also poor. I am being assured that a service engineer will fix the problem the very next day. Till now 4 times service engineer did visit my place & none of them can fix the issue. Everyone says TV has some problem, fact is I am able to see video/photographs using the same AV port on the same TV.

                                And also, I did select South-Telugu package, but it is not provided to me. Instead they gave me Kannada package.

                                When I did request to upgrade my connection to HD, they are charging me so much amount, saying I am a existing customer & upgrade can be done by paying that much huge amount only. I am really not sure how come I am can be treated as a existing customer - whereas from the very first day 'I am asking for cancellation of the connection'.

                                I am totall FRUSTRATED in calling & e-Mailing the helpdesk guys explaining the same story again & again. ARE YOU REALLY SERVING YOUR CUSTOMERS???

                                My name E.Selvakumar from Tamilnadu, i am using Airtel Past 5years and my number in [protected] and past 20 days i have purchased one new number from Airtel and that number is [protected] and at that time i have given all the record what ever they asked, But suddenly without informing they have cut Outgoing calls we do no what is the reason.I asked the people where i purchased they told for address proof they have cut, so what i have given all the records correctly because in my family we are using Airtel 7-numers if this problem continue we disconnect all th eAirtel number and we will go for any other Mobile services in our Place.
                                My customer care service is stopped every now & then by your executives. I want some information from your side then how should i take it. Even complaint number is blocked.

                                It is very frustrating to receive such a reason from your service engineers instead of fixing the problem.

                                Whereas the same TV is giving me the 100% quality picture through ALL the input ports(AV1/AV2/USB/etc) when tried with some other DTH providers & some other AV devices too.

                                You may need to train your service engineers on how to fix the problems.
                                I do not want to waste any of my phone expenses in CONTACTING YOUR HELPDESK, NONE OF YOUR SERVICE ENGINEERS CAN FIX THE ISSUE. Please ask your service engineers to stop MISS-GUIDING the customers.

                                on 26th of august my airtel digital dth signal automatically got lost. i registerd a complain through customer care services and it is said that it will be rectified with in 5 days. but neither i intimated by the company nor my dth connection got resumed. so at last i had to rectify by the local agent and had to pay Rs 150. this is really disgusting dueto the bad sevices of the fellow company

                                I made the payment on 4th Nov 2011 around 1.00 pm through cash (executive), on the same day in evening around 5.00 pm i got a message from Airtel DTH that my installation will be done on 5th nov around 10.00 am...
                                On 5th Nov as usual no one shows up, I called Airtel customer service around 5.00 pm in the afternoon and was said that i'll have to wait for 48 hours after the payment...
                                I called up again on 6th nov and nobody is ready to take this problem and all of them tried to disconnect the call, One of the executive (trimurti) was trying to be rude and later he also disconnected.
                                All this time my temper was very calm taking to the customer service.
                                Now on 7th Nov i called up again and (bharti) executive took a complaint and now she says i'll have to wait for another 24 hours to get this complaint resolved..
                                What kind of Customer Service is this.?
                                They called me again and again during the time of the payment...once i made the payment nobody is bothered about the installation....

                                Airtel — No way to speak to an actual person in the customer care

                                Dear Sir,

                                My sim got PUK locked. And in discussions forums i saw that if you send PUK <space> num to 121 airtel will send you the code to unblock the sim. Without this code, sim becomes completely unusable. But after doing what is instructed, i did not get the puk code. It just sent an automatic reply to getting the balance of the phone.

                                So i have been trying to reach a person in airtel to talk to. But the customer care number gives no option to speak to a real person. All they do is give machine calls. And i have got so frustrated. What should a customer do if he has an issue that needs speaking directly to someone.

                                This is such a frustrating situation. Kindly do the needful dear sir. If there is a number that airtel allows a customer to speak directly to someone, ask them to put in a place in their website where everyone can see it. Are they doing it because of the huge amounts of complaints they recieve for their service.

                                I am customer of Airtel DTH service and my customer ID is [protected]. I logged the complain for no signal on 7th Nov 2011. Till today i.e. 12th Nov 2011 nobody has called or provided the service. On 12th Nov 2011 I have called the customer care 4 times without much help. They can't even connect to their senior as it seems they are always busy. If this is their service, I would like to terminate my connection and get refund.

                                  i am rukesh nagar s/o sh parmod kumar nagar r/o w x 180 basti nau jalandhar.i applied for theconnection from bharti airtel and i submitted my docoment to authorised dealer of airtel at jyoti chowk jalandhar.my verification was negitive mr shampy from authorised dealer(salesman) take my connection wide no [protected] and mis use it now the company send the bill of rupess 4375/-and legal notice from court .i did not take this connection from airtel .mr shampy use this connection

                                    Hello,
                                    This is regarding my mobile number [protected]. I had visited the Airtel customer

                                    service desk on 19th December regarding my SMS monthly charges. I have the SMS

                                    along with my monthly rental plan. But Apart from this, they are charging me Rs.

                                    30 more every month from past 2 yrs for another SMS plan. This i didnt even opt

                                    for it.

                                    When i had visited the customer service department in Person on Dec 19th. I spoke

                                    to a girl called Asha. She told me that it will be adjusted in my next month's

                                    bill. That was the 3rd time i had been to the Cutomer service department in Person

                                    and complained about the issue. Inspite of all these, they are still charging me

                                    Rs 30 every single month.

                                    As per the update on that day, she told me that Rs 500 will be adjusted in the

                                    bill for January. as they cannot reverse the entire amount in one shot and the

                                    Maximum they can do is Rs 500.

                                    I got the bill for January and now for February month and to my shock, there are

                                    no adjustment being made. Also I have been charged Rs. 30 more again for the “100

                                    local sms Free then 50p Rent rs. 30.”

                                    The total amount till Dec that had to be Reversed as discussed with asha was 660.

                                    Now including jan and Feb, the total amount is Rs.720.

                                    She also mentioned that she sent a mail to particular team to adjust the amount.

                                    And i can send a mail to her next month to reverse the remaining amount. I have

                                    already visited 3 times to the Customer Service Desk in Bannerghatta Road. And I

                                    have been listening to the same thing everytime.

                                    Please take an action immediately. I cannot wait for her to reverse the fee.

                                    Instead please give me my money back in cash/cheque. Also deactivated the SMS

                                    plan.

                                    Everytime I go there, they say that they have deactivated and then it appears in

                                    the bill.
                                    I am paying for this pack, which I haven’t requested and this plan doesn’t exist

                                    with my Corporate connection.

                                    I want this issue to be resolved immediately. Request you to help me with this.

                                      I have a series of complaints about Airtel and my miseries do not seem to be ending. I still regret the date (19th Jan 2009) when I called Airtel regarding NDNC.

                                      Following are my complaints.

                                      1. SIM gets de-activated when I call to complain for unwanted calls despite being registered for NDNC service: I am an Airtel mobile service subscriber with the captioned mobile number. On 19th of January 2009, I called up Airtel Customer Care (121) to register my complaint regarding unwanted calls (as I was registered for NDNC, National Do Not Call services) on my mobile and within 30 minutes (circa) my SIM got deactivated. It was on 19th Jan 2009 at around 7:30 PM. When I called up Customer Care (from my Friend’s mobile) on 20th Jan and enquired why my phone was ‘not working’, I was told that everything was fine at ‘my end’ and I should get my phone checked. I called again and this time I was told that my SIM might have got corrupt and I should get it changed/checked from the nearest Airtel office. I registered a complaint stating that my phone isn’t working (must be there in your logs).

                                      2. Airtel Office in DLF Galleria market, Gurgaon asks for money to change my SIM
                                      On 21st Jan (at about 6:00 PM, after my office) I went to Airtel DLF Galleria office and narrated my complaint but I was told that someone has put in a request to ‘deactivate’ my SIM. Believe me, I would never intend to put a request to deactivate my SIM given that I am steady user of this number since last 5-6 years. They agreed to give me a new SIM with a payment of rupees 100/- (an unwanted penalty and harassment because of no fault of mine). I was promised that my SIM would get activated within 4 hours; the promise was kept and my phone indeed got activated. But the story doesn’t end here…

                                      On 9th Feb 2009, I got an SMS stating that my Airtel mobile bill had been generated and the monthly invoice was rupees 3558.9
                                      I called Airtel customer care immediately but to know that servers are ‘down’ (circa 4:30 PM on 9th Feb 2009) and the executive promised to organize a return call to me ‘within 2 hours’. I could obviously not trust Airtel by then, so I called up myself after 2 hours. I was told that my bill was more than three thousand (and I was shocked to know this since my bill has never crossed rupees 1500 since inception) because I was on roaming in Mumbai on 21st!!!

                                      A person who still regrets having to complaint about frivolous calls despite NDNC registration and who was not in touch with the world for two days (from 19th to 21st Jan, 10:00PM) was ‘roaming’ in Mumbai…(I am dead sure that circling Airtel offices cannot be regarded as pleasant roaming in Mumbai, which is what I was doing between 19th and 21st Jan).

                                      The snapshot of the itemised bill is like this:

                                      Every couple of minutes I have been charged for 30 minute call to single number. How can a person make 3 hrs call in 30 minutes??? Even if someone try to put conferencing logic, why would he conference same number for 5 times??? The bigger question is how will he make a call when his phone is NOT working and the complaint is duly registered!!! Also, do a credibility check on me and my account for last 5 years!!!

                                      It exposes a big fraud where Airtel levies false charges on the customer to make money. I would not have checked it if this would have been a single call!!

                                      The logs of my frequent complaints and calls are clearly reflecting in the Airtel records.

                                      Airtel guys ultimately resolved the issue amicably. I had to send an email to Airtel's CEO :)

                                      i have been a subsciber of your network from the past 3 years and sorry to say but your consumer services are not friendly rather quite haraasing .sir i am facing a problem regarding false charges from the last ten days ..and i registerd my complaint twice in the very same matter and its very shamefull on a franchise that much huge in size that there dealing authorities are very rude and not worth satisfing the consumer problems .. sir earlier on 27 sep 2009 i called up on your helpline and talked to the consumer executive senior and he told me to go for a new network and was very rude.and last night i called the consumer services again and it was very emberrasing as he used cocky language and asked me to "go and sleep and let him sleep too" and got my number barred for further calling on your helpline
                                      .Sir things like that lowers the moral of the consumer .

                                        Prior to the previous complaint the following are the mails those are forwarded to bharti airtel limted, Both of the following mails are about my new outlet at vanastalipuram, for which they force me intentionally to put a mail of resignation as a channel partner after 15days of the inauguration of the ARC, for which i have invested lacks of rupees on arc named Surya Mahi Communications. It also clearly shows and given the information that i have invested on both showrooms at habsiguda and vanastalipuram.

                                        The mails are as follows:

                                        THE FOLLOWING IS THE FIRST MAIL TO THEM, FOR WHICH THEY HAVEN'T GIVEN THE PROPER REPLY AND FORCED ME TO PUT THE SECOND WHICH STATES THE RESIGNATION


                                        Dear Sir,

                                        I would like to bring to your notice that the kind of investment happened at suryamahi from January 2007 to till March 2008. I have attached an excel sheet which has got all the information of the investment done by me in one year to create and maintain the presence of ARC at vanastalipuram with nil ROI, I even regret myself about this I never discussed with you. I also mentioned the details of the investment in new ARC.

                                        The total cost incurred by me is Rs: 26, 84, 030.00 in the span of one year for the ARC. I hereby making a humble request to support me to get the refunds, which I supposed to get and also please extend your co-operation to get breakup on my investment. Kindly look into the attachment with clear comments.

                                        Apart of this I have invested Rs: 9, 00, 000.00 on air conditioners at Capricorn, which supposed to be Rs: 5, 00, 000.00 (when you said Capricorn has to be finished in one month). As I didn’t get the permission to install outdoor units of ac’s from my landlord, I had to go with vrv module of ac, which really hiked the investment to 9lakhs. My rent was Rs: 6, 500/- before the renovation, you know very much sir for the purpose of renovation we have taken neighbor space 5months back and I started paying rent of Rs: 30, 000/- from the past 5 months, ARC not yet finished because of new problem which is road widening. I can say the total 2 arc’s investment put together is approximately gone to Rs: 37, 35, 000.00. Kindly understand my situation and extend your co-operation to prove myself as a healthy channel partner.

                                        THE FOLLOWING IS THE SECOND MAIL TO THEM WITH THE INFORMATION OF RESIGNATION (THEY FORCED ME TO MENTION THAT) FOR WHICH ALSO THERE IS NO PROPER REPLY AND EXACTLY FEW MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THIS MAIL THEY INTENTIONALLY FORCED ME TO RESIGN FROM HABSIGUDA LOCATION, THE REASON THEY IS FOR THE RESIGNATION OF HABSIGUDA OUT LET IS"IT IS BECAUSE OF THESE TWO MAILS WHICH I SENT TO THEM, FOR WHICH THEY TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND DECIDED TO SACK ME OUT AS A CHANNEL PARTNER"
                                        BECAUSE OF THIS MAIL, THEY HAVE TAKEN ME VERY SERIOUSLY AND FORCED ME TO RESIGN AS CHANNEL PARTNER AFTER INVESTING HUGE AMOUNTS.


                                        Dear Sir or Madam:

                                        As per the previous mail sent, the kind of investment done at suryamahi communications from the past one year without ROI is really affecting our financial status of both ARCs o[censored]s. We haven’t received any kind of feedback and support from the company on this. So, we hereby decided to resign as a channel partner of suryamahi communications. We are really glad and thankful to you, if you could refund us the deposits and the other kind of total expenditure incurred at suryamahi. We are sorry to say that we literally lost 26 lakhs in the process of maintaining suryamahi at vanastalipuram, which is really affecting our 7years old ARC at habsiguda, which we never expected.

                                        The funds we have invested on suryamahi are those that we kept aside to support Capricorn that is why there were hardly cheque returns for one year till we have taken second ARC. Again the same is repeating recently from the past 3 months because we have poured the funds worth 13 lakhs with out getting single rupee to create the presence of ARC at vanastalipuram till December 2007, we lost our valuable money that would support to run two ARCs in a healthy way. If the same kind of money had been invested on Capricorn to support the financial discipline, Capricorn (even suryamahi) would be in best place by this time in all parameters.

                                        So, at least in the process of supporting and avoid the financial imbalance of Capricorn, we hereby requesting you to cancel suryamahi agreement between us. If you look at the previous months commissions of suryamahi, it is highly impossible to pay 7 floor executives salaries (40, 000 approx), to pay the FOS salaries (75, 000 approx), rent 43, 460, power bill 20, 000, and csrb salaries 10, 000, security salary 13, 000, which we have been maintaining from the past one year.

                                        We would like to get rid of cheque bounces happening because of the so many unexpected situations happened to Capricorn in the previous years, We even have reports which led us to financial imbalance for eg: 1. icici charged denomination charges for two and half years average 12, 000per month to the customer’s money which is deposited on behalf of Bharthi. 2. Amex credit card payments where we got the cheques on the name of Bharti instead of Capricorn that are given in finance dept. 3. The mistake of the Bharti assigned interior, which led us to invest 6 laks again on Capricorn because of the electrical disturbances. 4. Because of these all the penalties that we have paid so far etc. All these incidents brought to your notice long back but no one is helpful.

                                        When situations like above-mentioned are simply bothering me and sometimes led to cheque bounces where I have been paying penalties for the same. As of today no one looked into it and understands my struggle being a channel partner. All these days whatever the penalties I have paid may not be because of my mistakes, it may be because of the incidents like shock circuits, denomination charges and Amex credit card cheques on the name of Bharti. Finally we have to sell some of our fixed assets, taken bank loans to clear all the dues. When cheque returns we can hear so many voices in different ways, but no one talked about my actual problem sir.



                                        We never failure to give the best sales and service to our customers, for that matter we have consistent successful records and awards in this regard and it would be for ever. When we are proving our self as a best channel partner in sales, service and team building, why can’t we be the same in financial discipline, we are going to prove our self in all the ways.

                                        Finally we request you once again to cancel the agreement of suryamahi and refund the backup funds of Capricorn, which we have invested on suryamahi. Now no one speaks about why you have given a second ARC to me. Please clear all my issues and please please refund my money where I can run Capricorn in a good phase. Please understand if we get that amount, why we would face the financial problems. Let us give a chak to cheque returns. Kindly do the needful.
