Hi,

This is a CUSTOMER HARRASEMENT! Airtel can be sued for this.

I have received several Due Date SMSes since last one week. My payment due date is 16-Jan which I am well aware of and thats the reason I have signed up for standard instruction/auto debit to my credit card. Well Airtel seems to be forgetting this everytime. I still have the apology letter sent to me with regard to late fees charged even though the standing instructions exsists.

Here are the number of time i received the SMSs from our dear Airtel, which does not really bother to do something!

1st SMS - 13th Jan 8:44AM (Good Morning greeting from Airtel. :))
2nd SMS - 15 Jan 7:27AM
3rd SMS - 15 Jan 10:07AM (2nd SMS of the day).
4th SMS - 16 Jan 8:03AM (bad news for people who getup late)
5th SMS - 16 Jan 11:00AM (2nd for the day).
6th SMS - 16 Jan 11:29AM (3rd for the day).
7th SMS - 17 Jan 8:56AM (today Airtel decided to give me an hour more of sleep).

Thanks for the owesome SMSs. You dont have to remind me that SMSs from Airtel(its own network is free). Get rid of these payment reminders when i have signed up for a Standing instructions.

Would apprecaite if someone takes this seriously and gives me a call to explain.

    I have been received unsolicited message from 56363 on my Airtel prepaid number [protected] I have complained to the Customer Service of Airtel regarding this, but they did not do anything about it.

    ANd for this they charging 10 Rs per message. I do get 5 to 20 message per month. Even I did not subcerbed for this.
    Even I am getting these SMS daily . As per TRAI directive one cannot send such SMS with number like 56563, without the Identification of the senders source location.I started receiving the message after one of my friend gave my AIRTEL number to MegaMart shop for getting a FREE T-shirt since they insisted for him to give a AIRTEL number .
    As I have found ---
    Bulk sms gateway/shortcode 56363 - " Nazara is a leading mobile entertainment company focused on the 100 million+ mobile subscriber base in India. We develop a range of branded and original mobile content that is highly relevant to the culturally diverse consumer base in the country."
    I guess this is the company is sending the SMS.

    56363 messaging services — unneccessary sending the messages

    From 56363 messaging services i am getting uneccessary messages not only day bt also at 3 am at morning. i am complaining against this company because due to there messages i can't even complete my sleep and due to this i suffer in my work at day. i need the copalsation atleast 2, 00, 000 of rs from this company ...plz help me, because i am sick n tired from there messages.

    56363 — unuseful offers and deducted my balance

    56363 this number sms me and ask the question me. I reply this question answer Rs 3/- per sms
    total 25question this number diducted my 75/- balance.
    please inquir about this number and inform me.

      Dear Sir,

      I would like to inform that my blackberry activation charges has been paid twice. I had to pay for it once in the beginning and after the bill was generated it showed that the amount had not been cleared. I have the proof from the bank statement that it has been paid, and inspite of that the airtel customer services insist that it has not been paid. The amount was credited to my credit card again via the smart pay facility. I have a confirmation email from Airtel that the amount has already been paid, along with the bank statement. I would like to know why I have been charged the same amount again. I would be grateful if Airtel would look into it and refund the amount Rs6999 back.

        I had subscribed for textbased service on Airtel WAP through http://igmobi.com.I am losing Rs10/-per day for no reason inspite not using AIRTEL LIVE.Please be kind enough to deactivate this subscription by tonight.I will be obliged.(My cell no is-[protected]) please deactivate it as soon as possible.
        Sir, I am receiving message from TM-02MOBILE that Congrat! Your cell no has won GBP 5000, 000 pounds in the 02 INT`L Mobile Number draw in UK. Is your office know about or any link with this regard. I had been sending message through e-mail, regarding about the claiming prize, they told me to send ascan copy and to select Cashier cheque/Bank. In reply to my message they informed me to ensure the the prize in 400000 in Indian money. So I request to informed immediately weather it true or a fraud.

OK now lets back to point in simple word you ask yourself that will you give someone even 1 rupee without any reason without getting anything instead? the answer is no you will not, so why the sender of this message will gift you such a big money? Friend nowadays as you know the technology is growing faster that speed of air and you'll have to fight at every step in your life to be safe and alive. This is absolutely nonesense, fraud and phishing whatever you call, however if you stucking in greed then at the end of the day you'll loose everything what you have in your pocket. so don't be confused all these are fraudulent and a way to earn money by cheat someone. you also can send message like this to anyone by just accessing some free sms sites. cool na hhhhhhahhhh well be aware!

        Most of the people are troubled with the messages and deductions from 54321 without any usage. Cust. care simply say "You've used Airtel Live.". None of the Customers asked you to enable it. Company enables it by default and charges customers even when they have not used it. Most of the people have not really used / downloaded anything.

        The company has reverted back the money twice for their fault. Why you make the life of your customer difficult by calling you and fight with you to get back his hard earned money. This is happening really and not a Story.
        AirTel customer care doesn't understand a very simple message from its customers?

        First, You cannot auto-subscribe us without we opting for it, second you don't tell how to unsubscribe from the service.

        I have been automatically subscribed to AirTel Jokes and Hello Tunes. This is purely cheating. I have been charged for this.

        You are losing customers because of greedy invasive sales tactics.

        Since few days Airtel is deducting Rs.0.30 or multiple thereof from my mobile phone No.[protected] and sending messages "charges have been deducted for using Airtel Live / Internet browsing.

        Sir I would like to inform you that I never used Airtel Line / Internet connection and this system is not available at my mobile phone set. I do not understand why Airtel is deducting this unnecessary charges from my phone. I also informed the matter Customer Care, but did not take any steps since today.

        If Airtel will not stop deducting amount immediately, I will lodge complaint against them in the consumer court and also I will go to Press and Media.

        I am also being charged by AIRTEL for subscribing some service which i have not subscribed. I am getting messages from 54321. This has happened many times.         I have experienced the same in Koramangala branch, Bangalore.
        The customer care guy name is Vinay.
        He is a dumb person. He can't understand the problem also or I don;t know he may be pretending like that.

        Switch to TATA DOCOMO. I'll be planning to change soon once the balance gets over.
        every week or so i am being charged 10rs saying that my na games subscription pack as been auto-renewed but i have not used it at all
        and moreover when i contacted the customer care they say there is no such service activated in your number
        then why am i being charged

          my ph no is [protected].In my connection i received cricket details continously since last two months and i complained many times to deactivate it.but nothing has been done so far. and your customer care people promise us to take necessary action but they do nothing. Morever 99% of your customer service is computer genereted talk, rarely we get a chance to talk to your people. please improve your service and recruit trained people to satisfy the customer.once again i am reqesting you to deactivate the cricket details so that i can recharge my phone

          Airtel Prepaid — poor cust service

          tis is de worst frikkin customer service tat ive come across ive been usin tis prepaid connection for de past 4 yrs and its all bull de customer officers hardly attend calls or bloody put me on hold for a very long time or de lines r always busy hw r v suppose to bloody talk or make any calls or contact any1 in need if de service is gona be so poor an dead!!! de customer service has no coortesy at all dey disconnect de call b4 de customer even finishes talkin wat kinda ethics do yo peeps teach dem huh sumtin better b done bout tis soon

          Airtel Prepaid — Poorest Service and no customer care action

          No Doubt, that Airtel has the cheapest service which helps its customers to continue with their services.
          But on the other hand, the service provided by them is even more cheaper.
          Customer care also does not respond to the complaints that are being lodged-this, only if in the first palce the customer is able to connect to the customer care which is itself difficult.
          The Network is always jammed and the complaints are never taken care of.
          The Airtel MMS Service is another non functional service. Whenever an MMS is sent Rs.5 is deducted from the account, but neither is the message sent or received. Even MMSes received cannot be viewed.
          Low rates are the only reason why people are using Airtel today. Or else there is no other good reason.
          diconnecting services without intimation even before due date
          HI, myself vibha. I have a complaint regarding airtell customer service. They do not have proper information and they misguide the customers. I got the sms regarding free sms (local) in Rs. 42. I recharged my phone. After doing several smses (local), i was shocked to see my bal. it was deducted. i called in cust. care. he said you might get the wrong sms. In this recharge pack you will get Airtel to Airtel 90 min free. For sms you have to recharge with Rs. 38. Now when i made a call to friend who's having airtell prepaid connection i checked my bal. it was Rs. 223/. After talking to her my bal. left Rs. 198/. that means no free calls. i again spoke to cust. care. they said there's no such pack is available in Rs. 42/-. I just wanted to know what the hell is this. Why airtell cust. care make fool out of customers. The india's largest telecom service having so bad infrastructure or they dont value their customer's time and money's value. If my problem is not going to solve within week, i am going to write to TRAI for the legal action against the company.
          Since last three month i am unable to make a call on 121
          I activated my misscall facility on 06.10.2008.But I havenot find any sms alert for misscall.I was also complain for this on 08.10.2008.complain no is 937000 date 08.10.2008

E mail and SMS to 121 have only resulted in mis informing me that the concern has been attended. The truth is that the signal is still as bad as was on the day of complaint.           i want to reach the concerned person who can help me, but i am not able to find a way to give my compliant...anyways the story goes like this !!!.one day i got a call from a lady telling me that she is from AIRTEL & she offered me a migration scheme of my prepaid airtel to postpaid for the same number which is [protected]...i accepted the offer.The next day a person by name SUNIL came to me, filled up the form & took 300/- for which he did not acknowledge any reeipt but when asked he told the form itself is a receipt.Again after two days he gave me a SIM card aswell...there were some verifications also done by the executives.But my agony begins after that, now its been more than a month nothing 's been done till now...when i went to the Airtel office in nandidrga road, bangalore, they tell me that since i don't have a receipt, they cannot find out the solution for this...Now my concern is that your company people are least bothered to solve customer's problem. please kindly address this problem as you are losing a lot of customers..I would also want to bring to your notice that most of your employees i.e. almost 90%, behave very rudely & with a lot of arrogance...i would apprecaite if any concerned person can help me solve this proble...

          Airtel Prepaid — Poor service on Airtel Promo

          Hi,

          My name is Gopal Krishna Sahu and I am using Airtel prepaid card, my number is [protected].
          I have recharged Rs 57 to the Airtel Promo offer on 26th Sep 2009. For some days the plan is working fine but now I facing problems as they have guaranteed discounts from the 2nd call of the day but they are charging full for all my calls. I have complained this to Airtel Customer Care 4 times and have interacted to Shaheen, Dinesh, Rocky and Shahin...

          They have taken my complaints but till now no one has reverted on my complains. And I am also disappointed the way the senior people speaks at the time of complains.

          hi I am vishaal pralhad phanase mobile number is [protected] I am ushing your services more thatn One year but whenever I am calling to Air tel customer care serives the executives are disconnecting the call oftenly, latest example is of 2.12.2009 when I called for the my queries the CSE Ms.Poornima Rokade disconnected the call when I asked to confirmed wheather my validity will be carry forwarded or no if I recharge the card before the due date & also she was very rude on the call.
          If it is possible then please listen to that call which I made on 2.12.2009 & I got all this information from the senior CSE of your department only when I called you after few minutes on the same day.

          I am having airtel prepaid connection. Number is [protected].
          I am very sad to tell this nowadays airtel is becoming bad in customer care.
          This is not only my grievance but many more people (my friends and relative) are suffering like this but not able to know how to stop this. We had a very good and great pride feel with airtel. But last few months your continuous torture with service messages and sudden debit of amount from our account made us feel something worst about airtel.
          Last cricket world cup time without our permission amount has been deducted for the score messages.
          And within last 2 months we have lost more that 40 rupees, without our permission just because of kollywood cinema text messages. There are plenty of ways to know the news y should we spend amount and getting message from you?
          I sent unsubscribe text message service, the message came that within 24 hrs the service will be disconnected. But immediately one more message came that your message is not valid! 3 rupees deducted for my unsubscribe message too!! It happened 3 times for me. What a cheating?
          Then we called customer care number after big trouble... One lady answered to us and agreed to stop the service message and unauthorized amount deduction. But after one week again 10 rupees deducted for the text message service. With great angry and anguish we tried again for the customer care. This time we spoke with the in charge person he also agreed to stop all this and refund for the 10 rupees. But as usually nothing was happened.
          Ten days before again 10 rupees was deducted. What is this nonsense? Where we can go and complaint? Even one rupee also matter for like us middle and poor class people. You have no rights to deduct any even a single paisa from us without our permission. What u r doing now is very unmannered and it lead us to think stop using airtel and spreading this matter to all my affected friends and relatives.
          I still have hope at least some respond will come for this mail.

          my no is [protected] . there is a 98 rs vouture for net validiti of 1 month but there is charges deducted from my main balance account before completion one month pleas solve this very soon.
          i called customer care but there is very poor res-ponce they hold the call for 10 min & not giving the proper information and the charges also deduct for calling customer care which is 50 paisa /3minuts .so pleas take a action immediately

          Airtel Prepaid Services — Promotional Messages without authorisation

          There are unnecessary messages sent by airtel and other service providers without authorisation and when the message come on your phone it is charged to you my mobile number is [protected] i called customer care to stop the message was informed to send a message to stop it and will be taken care in 3 months (long procedure) but they don't stop and after that i call customer care and speak to the supervisor and he does it on his end ad it will take another 45 days from today how inconvenient for me to pay the money and get unnecessary messages
          My Prepaid sim has been disabled for the lack of document submission last week 4th of Nov. I was not able to submit the document as I was out of station.

          The document have been submitted by me on 15 th of Nov in the first half and was assured to start the service by the evening. The services have not yet started.

          Please take the necessary and prompt action to rectify the same at the earliest.

            Past 20 days I am using Airtel Prepaid connection.Which is an Out of Chennai Number.Every ten minutes It display Simcard Update Started at the time No Network coverage.So I doesn't contact other after 5 or 10 minutes I got network coverage.After that same problem arise that is simcard update started.What i am doing to overcome this problem.If any one know the reason tell me.I am using Nokia 1600.

              I use an airtel sim card on my phone
              I've received a SMS on 6th jan 2009 stating
              !!URGENT! Your phone number has been selected for a $5000 prize guaranteed! to claim your prize call
              +[protected].
              the Message center is =[protected]

              The above SMS was also received by one of my family members using reliance connection stating to call to some other number for the Lottery prize.
              here the message center was different.

              After investigating a bit i found these numbers was of Montreal a city in Canada.

              Can anyone find or see what is the exact SCAM about, and help other all who received such Pishing SMS.

Then some people will come and verify it. According to me the whole thing is fraud. If any body has any information on this kindly comment.

                I am the postpaid customer of airtel in j&k since 2004. when they have luanched the airtel company in Jammu&Kashmir. Now after 5 years i want to purchase a new Postpaid SIM. But all show rooms says there are only 2 numbers available in postpaid. 9797 series and nothing is left in other series. What service is providing the airtel J&K to its customers. They are not able to manufacture more than 2 postpaid sims. i visit all the showrooms of airtel in J&K like Preduent Communications Karangar, Chanpora Outlet, and Sammad Communications Humhama Budgam. But same answer "we have only two postpaid numbers available "but they are very odd numbers to purchase. This is the service of airtel in kashmir for their royal customers. Thankyou.

                    Sir,

                    Please feel the anguish i am having.I had an offer from Airtel giving 10 days free Hello Tune.I had called Customer Care before the expiry period of that offer & it was deactivated sucessfully.The next day i get a sms saying thanks for continuing with Hello Tunes & you will be charged Rs 30/ Month.I called tthe customer care executive to enquire whether i have been charged(executive did'nt answer for it) if i have beeen charged i want it refunded & then they are saying since you didnt get sms telling that your hello tune has been deactivated you will be charged.Then when i cleared that it not my mistake but companys mistake for not sending sms then they promised me for refunding.Then again i called customer care for enquiring about my balance & was happy to know that i have not been charged & thanked executive for giving me the information.Then i got the greatest shock when i got charged for calling customer care Rs 15, when that is absolutely free.And my balance which had been Rs 32 before calling customer care is now showing negative balance.Now when i am calling Customer Care my call is not being connected to customer care executive nor can i send my complain through sms.Also my outgoing calls & outgoing sms has been barred.While i can call customer care through other mobile no.they are also attending their calls (which my friend already called for me).
                    Sir can this be called as Customer Care Centre or Customer Suffering Centre.
                    Its really like they are taking revenge on me.I know its hardly a matter of 40 or 50 rupees but do you think they can act in such a cruel & mean way to a cutomer.

                    I seek your support & help.Also from all the viewers who are reading this.

                    I am writing such a complaint 1st time in my life so just ignore if i have written some harsh words

                    Airtel always does like this. I cancelled the connection for airtel and they charged my credit card for additional 2 months without any reason. I really got pissed off and given multiple complaints, calls, escalations . but of no use.

                    I think the only way to get money is to cheat people. I have ample proofs to show the the complaint emails, cancellation request id etc.

                      dear friend, its true that u dint get a full talktime in ur REGULAR ACCOUNT while u recharged for 555...but u get a full talktime in ur special account when u recharge with 555...and u can use this amount with certain conditions appiled under the offer..forex.with a certain period of validity or for calls made to std, local, isd etc..also in order to use such offer talktime its important that u got a minimum balance in our normal account..its always better that u get confirmed about the offer with the costmercare or with ur dealer before u go for a offer recharge because all the terms and conditions of an offer cannot mentioned detailed in a message...

                        Airtel seems to have resorted to making money by deducting Rs 10 for services not activated by the customers. searching in this forum of the TextBasedServices subscription service on airtel WAP. You’ve been charged Rs.10 Enjoy http://m.igfun.com.

                        Airtel needs to understand the gravity of the situation and act immediately. The customer support is also not supportive.

                        I have called the support twice and even recieved a ref # [protected] for the complaint. When I called again, this number had no information of the problem. Moreover the agent kept the call after mentioning standard procedure of closing call {thank u for calling airtel}

                        Calls to the Nodal officer and the Appelleate officer are also never picked.

                        All in ALL Airtel is taking the Indian Customers for a Ride and making money.

                                I have 2 MBPS connection but since last 15 days I am receiving ~200 KBPS speed. Airtel tells that they migrated a server for my area so due to this it happening. Airtel did not inform me for this; even they are not ready to give a refund for this trouble. I registered a complaint (#[protected], still facing the trouble. If this doesn’t get rectify and if airtel does not give me waiver for the trauma period of 15 days I will lodge go to consumer court.

                                Airtel Broadband — speed and pricing

                                I'am based in Gurgaon and 'am using an airtel broadband connection for quite some time.Initially when I had a limited plan broadband, there used to be billing issues pertaining to the number o[censored]nits used.They never tell you your usage in a simple, understandable way.Instead one has to multiply and divide in order to see how much download has taken place and wether he/she has not exceeded their limit.How illogical for a company to expect everyone is comfortable with this practice.why can't they simply illustrate that under the account details?
                                I'am now using an unlimited plan viz., 899 rental plan where I get a pathetic speed of 256kbps(which at most times is in the range of 180 kbps so it doesn't even qualify for a broadband connection).256 kbps speed is supposed to be the entry level for a broadband connection and just look at the premium one has to pay for it.1000 rupees including taxes.Now, what a big put-off that is.They were recently in the news for slashing their tarrifs.How misleading can that be, you can very well judge from this example.
                                Airtel has raked in billions till now and clearly gone beyond their break-even point as well but look whats here on display !! Utter greed and gluttony yelling to be on display.
                                One very absurd fact I came across is gurgaon residents come under the Delhi&NCR category but when it comes to tarriffs we are not entitled to switch to plans that are shown on their website for delhi residents.The same plan having 256 kbps speed and an unlimited one is available in delhi for just Rs.649.(The company makes Rs.3000 in a year with the difference)Wow, such a huge price to pay for a difference of just 10 km.Well Mr.Mittal money doesn't grow on trees.You have left no stone unturned to squeeze every penny from your so called precious customer.

                                Airtel — Regarding Broadband Speed

                                I have Airtel broadband 699 super saver offer it gives 256 kbps speed as per company but this company says that it gives between 128-256 kbps but my current speed of my broadband is 95.8 kbps which about 30 kbps with the commitment of company. Please look after my complaint give me a suitable response for this complaint.

                                  I have already contact costumer care many times and also this service have been deactivated by a complaint number 274407 on DECEMBER 31, 2008. But also beside this happened, I have been charged again Rs.10 on JAN.13, 2009.This is highly disgusting, irresponsible & unprofessional from behalf of Airtel. You are requested to look this matter and deactivate this service from my number and also return my balance.

Later when i wanted to unsubscribe for the services i had sent the msg for deactivation to 52206 and had also asked customer care executive to deactivate the service but the services have not been deactivated and there is a continous depriciation in my a/c balance.

                                    i had airtel broadband connection in my father's name in Indore. when i joined in Bhopal i asked airtel to transfer our broadband connection to Bhopal. i had changed my ordinary modem to a wifi-enabled one a couple of months ago and i brought that modem with me. when airtel guys in Bhopal came to activate my internet connection i had to pay Rs 200/- as security against the modem (which i did not need, adn did not take) here in Bhopal again. After i began using my connection here, airtel people began troubling my parents for the modem in Indore. they have double security against that modem, they have proof (they have the serial number of the modem i am using- in Bhopal also they noted it down) that i am using that modem for airtel connection only, and i don't have a new modem here. still, they are asking us to courier that modem back to indore and again pay for a new wi-fi modem here in Bhopal.
                                    my question is why are they harassing my parents like this? and what is the use of subscribing to a large company like airtel if they are going to behave like a small local comapny, and refuse to let us use a modem we have paid twice for, and transger it with our airtel connection??
                                    maybe there was a mistake but, when i asked for the tranfer over email and over the phone why was i not isntructed to hand over the modem? when i was getting the connection here, why was i not instructed then??
                                    now why should they upset and harass my parents in Indore??? i won't get a refund instantaneously but i'll have to pay for the new wifi mdoem right now!
                                    what is the use of trusting a company like airtel if it is going to behave like this with 4 yrs old customers?? and we even use a prepaid sim card of airtel's! why shouldn't we stop using their services if they are going to trouble their honest and paying customers like this??
                                    I hope someone high up looks into this incident and changes their behaviour and policies in favour of the customers. it has been very troublesome and worrying and disgusting to take care of this entire issue as i have not been dishonest with the company in any way, and have actually paid more than i should have had to.

                                      On several occations at Airtel Gallary I requested to help me stop this nonsense SMS and their saying is that your complaint is recorded and I would be free from this harrassment.Even I sent SMS on 121 to STOP, but in turn promptly I received a SMS that my attempt is not valid.

                                        This is not so good from the Airtel Mobile Network . Without using that Subscription Text Based Services or Airtel WAP they use to charge 10 Rupees daily from my account. and when i am Complainting about they are not deactivating the Service they are giving reasons that it is wap based or text based service. while Complainting about this service regularly they are not providing Complaint no. to the Consumer. each and every Complaint when consumer providing complaint about the service they shold regularly provide complaint no. i am fed up of airtel cheating service.
