Dear sir,

Sub: refusal of gv:53147510 credit of rs.250/-

On friday 26th nov. 2017 i received the following message on my mobile no. [protected]:

Thanks for updating ur profile. Use gv:53147510 n get rs.250 off on min rs.1499 bill. Gv vld on fresh arrivals til[protected]. Tnc.

On showing the above message to your shopkeeper in charge at bata colaba mumbai on sunday 26th nov. 2017 he said that he will be able to give rs. 150/- off only on my purchase of shoes above rs.1499/- instead of rs.250/- under my gv:53147510 as the records on his internet site showed rs.150/- off.

Thereupon from the colaba batashop i complained on your customer service no.[protected] and informed your customer service representative that the shopkeeper refused to give rs.250/- off and was willing to give only rs.150/- off. However as your customer service representative was not able to solve our issue he gave complain no.1009273 and informed that i shall get the reply within 24 hours but till date i have not received reply from your end.

Kindly note that i am a senior citizen and also shareholder of bata india ltd. And i have been buying bata shoes since years but have never undergone such trouble and waste of time for nearly 2 hours at bata shop and finaly had to leave without purchase under your gv: 53147510 as the shopkeeper nor your customer service representative was able to solve the issue even after showing proof of the message received on my mobile.

It is not understood why a reputed brand like bata forwards wrong messages to its customers offering certain amounts off on their shoes when they are not interested in passing those benefit to its customers. Even your customer service representative have no powers to take such decissions on spot.

Kindly note that time is valuable and precious for your customers and such false messages to your customers will spoil the reputation of the company. Hence i request you to refrain from forwarding false messages and harass your customers.

    I bought a shoe from your bata store (Bata india limited, palghat college rd, m-5 business, college road, palakkad) invoice #cm[protected], date - 3/11/2017, client number - [protected]

    Front side of the shoe got damaged and went to the store for warranty procedure, they taken the product for warranty on 21/11/2017... 25/11/2017 received call from store end by saying the damage have been cleared. When i reach the store am very sad & got angry by seeing the product. See the attached photo how they delivered the product after repairing.

    1) the damage is not cleared still there is a gap.

    2) is this your service, by pasting the product with rs.5 gum and giving back.

    3) for this small repairing process you kept the product for 5 days. When i enquired regarding this your store manager reply was that they contacted there service person for this no reply have been came from them. So they did @ there own cost (Rs.20) from outside. That is why this much time taken

    I am using bata from my childhood, am pretty confidence in the product quality. But this type of very very poor after sale service & staff behavior will effect your brand image & trust of customers. Hoping a good response from your side

If the Bata customer care Team is like this what should we expect from the front line team of bata(sales team)... I just needed to get a feedback from your side regarding my complaint status

      I have purchased a pair of shoe worth reading. Mrp1999, batch no. 824-4548, bata mocassisco, size 8 from bata showroom (Showroom at kottayam town. Kk road) at kottayam in kerala three months back. The cash bill is seen lost. The problem is the sole of my shoe seen broken in the middle portion and therefore unfit for daily use.
      So please do needful arrangement or replace the same without any delay urgently. My mob. No.[protected]already registered in your company from that bats shop.

        Subject: mix product purchase problem

        Dear sir/madam

        On september 27th 2017 my wife and i have traveled in catania italy and we have stop by in bata store: katane coffee katanè
        Via salvatore quasimodo, 95030 gravina di catania (+[protected]

        On that day, we have bought 4 items including pair of boots (Item #591-6160 see pictures attached)
        My wife was asking to measure #39 & #40 and she and up asking for the #40 to be packed along with the other 3 items.

        After a week we have packed everything in our suit cases and we flew back home to israel.

        Two weeks ago, my wife took the boots out the box for the first time and she found out that it was mixed up and she got in the box one boot #39 and one boot #40

        On october 31st we have contacted the store and we spoke to the worker who helped us on that day, jovani his name and he promise to check it out but as of yet we haven't heard anything from him. He was asking for the receipt but unfortunately we have paid cash and we through away all the unnecessary paperwork just before the flight.

        Please let me know how can we possibly resolve it, return the one #39 and receive the #40 instead. There is a possibility that they still have at their store the #40 box with the one boot #39 inside.

          I have purchased ladies shoes from bata stores (Lower ground, pheonix market city, kurla, west, mumbai, india) on 8th oct, 2017. The pasting of the shoes got loose, so i went to the bata store (Lower ground, pheonix market city, kurla, west, mumbai, india) on 21st nov, 2017 and showed them the problem. Shoes were within warranty period, but i did not had cash memo, so told the bata representative date of purchase from my pass book entry (As payment was made using debit card). The person accepted my shoes for repairing.

          Today, on 26th nov, 2017 (Around 8.30pm) i went to get my repaired shoes back to bata stores (Lower ground, pheonix market city, kurla, west, mumbai, india) and found that the shoes were partially repaired.in fact one of the shoe was damaged during repairing. I showed this to the bata representative mr, husain morchant (The person on cash counter). He saw the shoes and said if you are not happy with the repairing then write a mail to customer care. I showed him the damaged part then he said there is no proof that it got damaged during the repairing. So i explained him the nature of marks at damaged part is same as the marks at repaired parts. Then he told me to keep the shoes with bata so that he can get it repaired and ask the cobbler about the damage. He even said that you may get replacement as well. Then he asked if i have cash memo of it, i said no, i don't have cash memo but i know the date of purchase and i have passbook entry too for the same. As soon as he came to know that i don't have cash memo, his tone changed and started arguing with me. He asked me my mobile number and i told him. He checked in his system but he could found entry of 30th sept, 2016 (Which was my earlier purchase from bata). I told him i have purchased these shoes on 8th oct, 2017, please check entry of that date. But he refused. He said have you not told your mobile number at that time, i said if you would have asked i might have told. But again he started arguing saying that you should have told on your own, we don't ask customers for the number, our customers themselves tell the mobile number. I said this is not possible. So i waited there to check how any customer can tell the mobile number on his own. The next customer approached the desk for payment so the same representative ask her for the mobile number. Then i told him see you are asking for the mobile numbers, so you must have asked me and i had told you. But he said there is no entry in his system on my mobile number on 8th oct, 2017. He said now nothing can be done, you take your shoes back. I asked him his name so he told me his name but i could not understand so i asked to repeat, then his answer was 'likh ke du..?' i said yes please. He wrote his name on piece of paper which was kept with my shoes on 21st nov, 2017 while accepting my shoes for repairing. Of course the person who accepted my shoes for repairing was not mr. Husain.

          This is very bad impression of bata. Being indian i prefer indian brands but people like husain morchant are responsible for demotivating customers and defaming brands as well by not valuing the customers. I request bata to train their representatives how to behave with customers and give replacement of my damaged shoes.

          With reference to your concern and in line with our company policy, we provide 100% replacement in case a major manufacturing defect is identified and highlighted to us along with the Cash memo within 90 days from the date of purchase.
          However, in case of non availability of the Cash Memo or bill, it would not be possible for us to consider any request.
          Due to unavailability of cash memo in this case, we regret to inform that the product cannot be considered for a repair or replacement.
          We value you as our esteemed customer and look forward for your continued patronage.

          On 10th December, 2017, I have forwarded a video of damaged shoe to BATA to explain how spillage of sole pasting liquid has damaged top peripheral portion of my shoe.

          I am continuously receiving E-mails from BATA from 10th Dec, 2017 that my contact no is not reachable.

          I have provided alternate contact number to BATA and have also asked to provide me BATA's contact detail, Date and time so that I can call BATA representative, if still I am not reachable.

          As per telephonic discussion held yesterday (i.e. on 12th Dec, 2017) with BATA representative at 4.52pm (call received from [protected] to +91 [protected]), I have submitted my pair of damaged shoe to BATA Stores (Lower Ground, Pheonix Market City, Kurla, West, Mumbai, India) on 12th Dec, 2017 at 9.30 pm for BATA's further evaluation.

          Mr. Gaurav accepted the shoes. I have also submitted a letter along with the shoes, which describes BATA's as well as Jago Grahak Jago's Customer reference complaint numbers. A copy of which is signed by Mr. Gaurav as acknowledgement of receipt of shoes.

          I am attaching copy of same letter here.

          My reply to BATA's mail :

          Dear BATA,

          I have been telling that the purchase is made on 8th Oct, 2017 from BATA Stores (Lower Ground, Pheonix Market City, Kurla, West, Mumbai, India.

          14 Months before I had purchased another pair of shoes. This case is of new shoes purchased on 8th Oct, 2017.
          I have been telling in all my previous E-mails that cash memo is misplaced by me but since I have made payment through debit card, the passbook entry is there.

          Please recheck your system..! You have data of 14 months back but not the data of 3 months back..?
          Even after writing so detailed emails, you are again and again saying about the cash memo. This is nothing but the harassment..!

          Please study my emails in detail..!

          Dear BATA,

          I do not have cash memo for the purchase on 8th Oct, 2017. But I do have pass book entry for the same, since the payment was made using debit card.

          14 Months back I had purchased another shoes, this is a case of new shoes.
          Please study the case in detail..!

          How come you have last 14 months data available with you but not the data of last three months..?

          If you want I can send you the scan copy of my passbook which shoes debit amount to BATA on 8th Oct, 2017.

          I received call from BATA on 9th Jan, 2018. Mr. Vivek (a BATA representative) confirmed that I will get a gift voucher of worth Rs. 1000 as compensation. To re-deem the voucher I need not to pay extra money. I have mailed my address for sending me the voucher. Now waiting for voucher..!

            I bought mochachino shoe from bata showroom located in jadavpur opposite kpc hospital. I started to wear that shoe from september 28th 2017. (During bengali's auspicious occasion of durga puja). I found that sole of my right shoe has been damaged within two months. Although my warranty of 90 days was over i request you to change this shoe because i have never found such a bad quality product from bata in last 19 years.

              This is written after i have faced such a horrible service from bata india customer care for a shoes complaint i have raised.
              I stress the point that they are not doing a customer friendly business nor even maintaining their quality.
              I have bought a shoes of hush puppies on march 2017 and has all relevant bills related to it. The product cost me around 5999 inr. And now after 8 months.. The color is fully faded up and also the stich has started tearing off..
              I have visited a bata store in lulu mall, cochin where i said this complaint and they had asked me to give a call to customer care and explain the issue and matter will be sorted out.

              From here the drama begins which now feel me like a prescripted agenda to neglect customer complaints.

              As per the information given from store., i have raised a complaint on 21/11/2017 with a complaint number 1004759. The initial commitment was within 3 days i will get a feedback. After that call i didn’t receive any email or sms saying about the acknowledgment of the complaint.

              After 3 rd day, i have again given a call asking for status, then another person has said in a super fine manner, that he is going to elevate this to bata complaints directly and within 24 hours i get the issue resolved and gave another complaint number 1007415.

              Now 48 hours passed i have given call and they said it’s already processed and i shall receive mail in 30 minutes.

              Waited again and called up, then they are saying it’s under process and may take up 24-48 hours again. And i have said all those details mentioned above clearly.. Now the lady who attended the call was playing like passing various cards as in a card game saying about detail was updated late hence the delay, company has asked to resent complaints once again, we have emailed and was awaiting reply (No acknowledgement mail also received till this time) and so on.. It was clear that they are trying various options to deny this.

              I have asked her to connect me to the concerned head or department so as to speak and that also they can’t do that.

              For each and every question asked, they gave me a clear crystal reply ‘this information cannot be shared. And i have to wait ‘

              I hope someone responsible related to ‘bata india’ or ‘hush puppies’ see this and should understand the present customer service and also product quality offered to customers.

                The Manager of BATA showroom at Dunlop Bridge Shop has refused to accept one Rs. 2000/- valid currency note on 22.11.2017 on the purchase of a Power shoe without any concrete justification. I have requested him to give in writing the reason for refusal, he denied doing that.He has also denied obeying the existing law regarding acceptance of currency notes. Now, before I am going to the court of Law I am lodging my complaint to BATA Ltd to take necessary action against the person concerned to stop such type of harassment.

                  I want to bring to your kind notice that I bought a pair of bata power running shoes from amazon.com. The shoes were purchased on 5th October and delivered on 9th October. The shoes looked quite well for the first few days, but the upper leather material of the shoes has started getting damaged within a month of very less use.
                  Sir, as the shoes are under 90 days warranty, I request you to please exchange this pair of shoes or help me in other ways to save my losses. I have already sent the amazon invoice and product details to customer care email in-customer.[protected]@bata.com

                    Bought bata westerner shoes at sgd79. Not exactly cheap. Went to a japan trip, first week i kept the right toes side of the shoe caved in thus caused much discomfort.
                    Needless to say within a week of wearing 3 of my nails on my toes broke with the last tow became black. Both sides of my leg bone a hole like nail impact. Skin of my toes and small toe came off. I was limping and worst of all the shoe stinks (Don't know why bata always stink other shoe no smell) like high heaven just a week.
                    Crying shame and it's all true otherwise i won't waste my time complaining.

                        On tuesday afternoon i purchased one ladies shoes and obe shoe for my son, from your new alipore shop. My invoice no is cm[protected]. Two of the shopkeeper misbehave with me, they want to see my sons and my feet whether there is any dust, we both have to show our feet, that there is no dirt in our feet, it has come from any other sources.                           Sir, i bought a pair of shoes from your store bata india ltd, 100 model town, yamuna nagar, pin-135001 vide invoice # cm[protected] dated 28/10/2017. Next day i found that one of the shoes happened to have detached sole, since i can not spare time on working days, so i went to store on 04/11/17, where i was told to collect the pair after repair, on coming wednesday i. E. 08 nov 2017, instead i went on 12 nov 2017. And to my surprise they do not even know, where that pair was, then, the person dealing told me that he will ring me in the evening. But there's been no phone at all. I m disappointed that a company like bata would provide such substandard customer service. I would appreciate a refund or replacement product at the earliest and hope that u will deal with this lapse in customer service accordingly..

                            Hello customer care team on bata.

                            I had purchased a shoe, article no. [protected] as per bill[protected] stamped on shoe, see photo) from bata shoestore, race-course circle, near inox cinemas, ellora park, vadodara, on 29th jan.2017. (Invoice no. 2251/1/29012017/00041)
                            It is very sad to inform you that i was shocked to see soles of the shoes were badly cracked/damaged on the fine morning of 3rd oct17, when i was polishing my shoes and getting ready for my office. Pl. See attached photos for your ready reference.

                            I am a regular customer of bata. Note that similar issue happened in 2016 also (Ref. No. 787151). On reporting, you had given me the replacement.in the same faith, i am requesting you for a replacement for the subject shoes with damaged soles.

                            However, this instance gives me a lot of concerns regarding the quality of bata products, sold now a days. Pl take this as a feedback and raise bars of quality of your products and ensure customer satisfaction.

                                I have purchased bata school shoe for my son at following shop at mumbai : bata india limited, goregoan east, ground floor, north side (Previsly anupam theatre), mumbai maharastra (27), phone no :[protected]. I have purchased the shoes for rs 1799/- against the invoice no : scm[protected] dt : 01.11.2017.

                                When my son started wearing the shoe, we realized that the right is defective and defective shoe is sold to us. Complaint is that on wearing the right shoe, my son is having severe pain in the back toe part and unable to walk. On walking for few steps his skin has sheared off and feeling very much pain and uncomfortable. Immediately on 4th nov 2017, we rushed to the shop and explained the sales head of the shop about the complaint and demonstrated the same in his presence. Also, the insured back toe area which resulted due to wearing of the show was shown to him. The shop sales head has asked us to leave the shoe with him and come back after few days. We left the shoe with him and returned. My son went to school wearing the slippers the entire week. Today again ie, 12.11.2017 we visit the shop to collect the replacement shoes. But the sales person in the shop said that he repaired the shoe with some glue and tried to return us the shoe saying that it is rectified. We tried the shoes in front of him only. But again the issue remains. My son is unable to walk wearing the shoes. He is having severe pain in right leg and feeling very much uncomfortable.
                                Shop representative is just buying time and wasting out time. We believe bata brand a lot and thus purchased the shoe. But this type of irresponsible complaint readdrasal we never expected. We said the shop person that we do not have time for doing the trial and error. Already we have waiting enough time. We asked him either give us the credit note or give us the replacement with another pair of shoes. But the shop representative is refusing do the same and he wanted ti do some patch work in that shoe and try and repair and buying the time. Asked us to come next week.
                                This is not justified. We are not getting the value for our money here. Customer satisfaction is zero. Kindly take up the matter quickly and arrange to replace the shoe. It is not advisable to trouble the school children like this. We never expected such poor complaint response from bata india limited. Request to take immediate action and replace the shoe. Not justified to trouble the school children like this

                                    I am a regular customer of your reputed bata brand and it is a really very painful experience
                                    I have purchased 1 pairs of huss puppies shoes
                                    Worth rs 3999/- from "foot step multi brand store" bill no. 2929 dated 30.10.2017. Out of these article
                                    Number : 3/1016, 509/0019,[protected] was found defective within 7 days of the purchase. I was
                                    Using it within 10 day regarding sole and when i showed to the store manager to identify
                                    The problem, he told that this is pasting problem in sole. I asked to him how its possible in branded shoes pasting problem within 7 days so he just explain me about whole world branded shoes problem like this he did not give me any satisfied answer.

                                    In sole. When i asked replacement of the defective article the person on duty
                                    Refused to change the article. And showing me attitude like this i thought i had make mistake to purchase this branded shoes.

                                    And i just want to ask by this complaint had i really make mistake to purchase this hush puppies shoes.
                                    If no kindly convince me why should i purchase again any product of bata.

                                      I am sure bata is a very popular company all over india and i am very old and regular customer for your product, however when i purchased a product leather belt your outlet gachibowli indra nagar, hyderabad, it had buckle problem, i went and politely gave back and didn't even ask for replacement, but i asked for fix, they are asking me to come again and again, and when i asked them today about this, the sales person is replying in a harsh voice and asking me to complain 50 time a day it will not be any use, i am really ashamed to tell this to you company like bata had sale's person like this
