received wrong size item and worst customer service response ever!!

Hello team,

I'm sorry to say this. Yes you read the email subject right.

Earlier a trusted customer of Bata, now I'm a frustrated customer.
Thanks to the customer care response received.

This is regarding my order ID 12159865.

1. I ordered for a size 3 sandals, received size 7 instead . Not my mistake.
2. Called up customer care, they assured me an exchange.br...

Lost the bill of the product. Provided the date and month and year of the purchase. They refused to check a the online bill. We had to change the size of the show which i gifted him. He took it to bangalore but wasn't fitting him. After 5months they came back to chennai but lost the bill. The branch workers refused to check from their data. The kid (My cousin) loved the shoe... But disappointed with the size. Please reply soon with a solution.

I have purchased a pair of sandal from Bata showroom at TT Nagar bhopal. Due to poor quality of soul material it got damaged from soul and its upper portion also got damaged.
I have complained the matter with the dealer within three months of my purchase date but straight forward he refused to replace the same.

    I purchased a bata footwear (Article no.551_3831-040 worth rs.899 through your showroom located at kottayam, kerala on 1-9 17. We as a family are regular customers of bata and we purchase footwears only from your showrooms. But to my great disappointment this time, i coud use my footwear only five times. It got teared and sole peeled off just after my fifth use. All this happened in this 40 days of my purchased. Regarding usage of footwear-it was for casual use. I used it 5 times during casual outings. No rough usage was done. Inspite of effort from my side to keep it safe, after fifth use, it just teared. But as i was out of station, i could'nt come back to kottayam to register my grevances. By the time i reached back, it was past 60 days, and salesman rejected my complaint and explain me his inability to accept the same. He also informed me about the outline complaint registration facility available for bata customers. Kindly do the needful, hoping a proper response from bata team.

      Bought a bag from the store (Details in the attached cashmemo). Initially we were informed by the store personnel that the sling was missing. The very next moment after searching they said that they have found it. But on returning we discovered that instead of blue sling we have been given a black one. This kind of foul business of fooling customers is not expected. Demand immediate redemption of our grievances and harrassment.

      I purchased bata power shoes no. 5598_9128 from the registered show room at shaheen bagh Delhi. On 17/12/2017. Hardly i used 3 or 4 times for walking. The shoe is starting to torn out. What should I do? Kindly register my complaint against my product, and solve my problem as soon as possible.

        Am already register the complain at 14.12.2017 and so for (23.12.2017) there is no proper update from customer support.

        Am very big disappointed to bata support. There is no proper replay from bata side.


        So for, am talking more then 10 your customer people. But there is no effective replay from bata side. Each and every day am touch with your people but am very big upset.
        Note : frankly says : i will not suggest your product to my friend circle for sports usages.

          I received a text message on my mobile number registered with bata about a discount offer of rupees 200/- on shopping at bata store. The message clearly mentioned that a discount of rs. 200/- would be given on shopping at bata. But when i tried to avail the offer i was told that this coupon can be availed at vlcc and no discount in bill can be provided by bata. This was really unfair and not expected at a brand like bata. I am attaching the screenshot of sms i received with this message. I want redressal of this issue as soon as possible. I traveled to that bata store only to avail the discount offer which was denied to me. I am really disappointed with bata

            I purchased a ambassador shoes from a bata outlet in kolkata sometime in april this year 2017. I have hardly used this shoes but a crack in the sole of one of the pair has developed and a piece has fallen off the heels. As i am a resident of imphal, i went and enquired from a bata outlet located at thangmeiband. But they explained their inability to help as they are only a franchisee.
            I am really surprised and heart broken. Bata ambassador is my favourite and have been using since my teens. Alas, the quality this time is really bad.
            I need a replacement.
            Unfortunately, i have lost the receipt. But as far as i remember i used my debit card and it can be retrieved hopefully.

              We have purchased 2.5 months back sandles from bata. After just 15 days it started smelling due to sweat. We did not wear it for about a month and then again started wearing it - again the smell started coming. People around teased me for the smell.

              I went to the shop and told them about this - but they said it is not a manufacturing defeat - so they cannot do anything about it. I kept the sandles and the stores - which they kept happily.

              Can you look into this conpliant and address it.

                I bought a pair of shoe from bata, shop name alka shoe store rajmarg orai (Jalaun), shoe model 851 6489 on 1/12/2017, for rs 1299/-. The shoe did not last even 15 days and got damaged. It is not good to sell such a low quality product by a branded company like yours.in this regard i request you to file my complaint and make arrangement for replacing the same.

                  I had purchased sports shoes from bata on 3rd dec 2017of rs.900, as i was going on a 12 days trip, i told the shopowner that if it will not suit me, i will exchange it. He replied that yes bata has a policy of 15 days replacement. The shoes didnt suit on the very first day as toes has got scracted and irriated. So again i have to have to purchased another shoes worth 2000rs. Today on 16th december when i went to the shop to exchange the shop, the shopkeeper literally denied to exchange it. And morover he misbehaved with me so much. He was shouting on me. I didnt liked this behaviour. Is this a way to talk to the customer. I am highly disappointed. Never gonna visit your shop,

                    We wanted to exchange one shoe @₹1999/-. But no body from the show room exchange the product as the manager of the show room was on leave and the sales person was also on leave. They asked us to come on some another day. I am a serious arthritis patient and it's very difficult for me to travel 9 kilometres as the show room is very far from my home. How we customer will come to know who is on leave or not?. It's totally haresment to customer like me.in this age of digital era, please arrange to rectify your system in bata, bhangagarh assam branch.

                      It's really disappointing to see such a don't care attitude from one of leading india's shoe manufacturer and seller. I have raised my concern on november 4th and its december 15 today (1.5 months) and i have not got redressal of the problem i have raised.

                      It's even more frustrating when every time i get the same update from the customer service team on call that they are looking into it and they will call me back and then they never call back. Highly non-courteous.

                      If you can't solve the issue, please return my shoes back that i have sent you via courier.

                      No updates till now. Its 1 month and 20 days I have not got any update on my complaint.
                      I have already raised my complaint from gera.[protected]@gmail.com on November 5 on the email id above and after that, there have been several threads of email that I have sent but nothing has been done so far. Here is my initial email message that I have sent on November 5

                      " Purchased a pair of shoes from Myntra. Product code is 824-9954 and date of purchase is May 20 2017. Though the product was ordered back in May it was used hardly 7-8 times. The same can be judged by the color freshness and the limited wrinkles on the shoes in images attached.

                      The product was all good until I noticed the sole of the left legged shoe started getting detached from front, outer and back sides. I was aware of the good quality of the shoes from Hush Puppies but feeling really disappointed. I have raised a complaint at your customer service department and the complaint number that I got is : 998645. Please look into the matter and I hope to get a better after sale service than the quality.

                      Another unpleasant thing was to walk over to any near by store to show them the same concern and the retailer was telling that it can be exchanged/repaired from the only store that i bought it from. #strange.

                      Have some images and invoice attached . Looking forward to quick redressal."

                        It has been over one month now that i have returned an item that i bought. My order number is 12159050. However, i am yet to get my money back. The customer care number is useless as it is always busy and no one ever picks up. The mails that i have sent have also sent back auto-generated responses and nothing beyond that. I do not know how to get my money back.

                        I have already shared my contact details with you. However, there has been no response from your side. This qualifies as customer harassment liable to be punished. I want my refund immediately.
                        I purchased a bata footwear worth Rs. 1000/- through your showroom located at Vasai on 8th November 2017. I used it about 2 weeks later for a few days in which it started showing wear n tear.I went to the showroom on 13th Dec and asked for a repair, they have given customer care no which is not reachable.

                          I have ordered a product from bata and after 1 day i cancelled it but the product reached my home after. Cancel request, so again i call customer care this guys are waste. I dont even know how u run a company. I asked for return. Still no guy came and picked that product and no refund. I need my money take back u r product i didnt touched it. Worst service

                            I purchased a bata footwear worth rs. 1999/- through your showroom located at indira nagar 100 ft road in bangalore on 8th november 2017. I used it about 2 weeks later for a few days in which it started showing wear n tear. I travel by car and my walking is restricted to walking around inside office only. I have been using bata footwear since the time i can remember and have not faced similar issues earlier and certainly do not expect a 2k product to look worn out in a few days time. I went to the showroom on 12th dec and asked for a replacement but was shocked beyond words with the extremely rude and bad behaviour displayed by the showroom manager - a person named arun (Not sure whether that is his real name since he refused to give me his card despite requesting him). This was extremely uncalled for behaviour coming from somebody representing the brand bata!!! Please look into this display of rude behaviour by your showroom staff and kindly replace my footwear!!

                                On[protected] i purchased chappal at a cost of 499 rupees at bata showroom in eluru road vijayawada. Andhra pradesh. After using 20 days the chapal was completely damaged. On[protected] i again visited the show room and asked the salesman about this issue. He accepted the issue and given new product to me. After using few days my chappal was damaged. On 09-12-17 i visited again showroom reg this issue the sales people are rejecting my issue. My invoice no is cm[protected] dt.16-10-17. Please take action necessary regarding this issue and do the needful to me.

                                  I have purchased new bata make shoes on dated 26th nov 17 from showroom situated on this address bata india limited, 218, 219 bapu bazar udaipur rajasthan against tax invoice (Bill copy attach) cm[protected] dated 26/11/17 of rs. 2000/-. I have using this shoe for only two days. Shoe surface started pill off (Photo attach). It seems it is not leather, it is having only layer seems like leather. I am user of bata shoes from last 10 years. But this experience shows bata which known quality products is also giving poor quality product.

                                  Please point wise details.

                                  1) how shoes layer is going within two day use. How come upper layer of leather goes and inside layer seem white. It is clear that it is not at all leather. (Picture clearly shows outer layer of leather and internal layer of white layer)

                                  2) i have registered complaint on bata portal (http://bata.in/bataindia/writetous). but till date there is no response on my queries even after reminder. My complaint is reference number 1017154.

                                  3) yesterday dated 7.12.17 i have visited showroom from where i have purchase this shoe. Showroom manger refuse to change the shoes and also not able to explain the reason of poor quality even he is ready polish the shoes. Is this a way of sorting out the poor quality shoes provided to customer. It is just hiding by polishing the shoes.

                                  I am loyal customer of bata and believe in quality of shoes. I need proper action on this issue so that i can replace this poor quality product.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  i think you have not reviewed my complaint properly. I again attaching mail in trailing for your understanding of my issue.

                                  i have already visited your showroom and showroom manager is unable to explain the reason of pill off. they are unable to explain why leather shoe having a layer of leather and after leather layer why inside is white layer. this one is not original product and this is fake product they are selling in BATA showroom.

                                  Please explain why how?? upper layer is leather and inside layer is white skin.

                                  they have solution of pill off of leather layer is giving free of charge of shoe polish. is this is Bata company and management is replying to customer complaint. keep selling high price poor quality products and keep giving free shoe polish in the name of repair.

                                  please reply properly so that further action can be taken

                                    I had purchased your esteemed branded shoes BATA from shop situated at Fort situated at Veer Nariman Road, Near Tata Docomo Gallery on 27/12/2016 having MRP 1950/-. Presently i do not have Invoice but the credit card statement is available. But being a branded shoes i was under impression that it would last for long period. But within 6 months of wearing the shoes ( 3months rainy season, not used) the sole of the shoes are cracked /broken from the middle for both the pairs and are unfit to use ( PHOTOS OF THE CRACKED SHOES OF BOTH PAIR ARE ATTACHED). I am extremely disappointed as, I have been using bata products for the last 25years, BATA is a prestigious brand, with a classic look and comforts.I am shocked to see such pitty issue, which is spoiling the brand of BATA's. It is sad state that such a branded shoes are being sold with the manufacturing defects.
                                    Bata is a branded company incorporated in 1931 for manufacturing shoes and i feel from my heart that it would not be an eye wash of the customer and defective shoes would not be sold by BATA brand.
                                    Request to consider and resolve the issue at the earliest, or else i have to approach appropriate forum for resolving the same.

                                    Subsequently, the mail was forwarded to me by Bata company stating that the shoes sole cannot be replaced.
                                    It is surprising that the Bata company brand has come to such a cheap level that the shoes on paying such a hefty amount cannot last for 1year.
                                    It is disappointing that Bata company is playing with their brand.
                                    Bata company is giving false information that the problem is resolved.
                                    Spreading wrong infomation that they are customer focus.
