Dish TV is yet another organisation, which probably has had an unplanned expansion and is not able to meet the consumers' service needs.
My set top box was not working. When I asked for repair, the Customer Care Exec asked for time at which I would be preseent at home. She said that their working hours are upto 8pm.I asked the mechanic to come after 6.30pm, which was noted.
Pronptly I got a msg that mech shall visit at 3.30 PM. I asked that I had requested for 6.30 pm or later.
The mechanic says" If you wish to get your set top box repaired you will have to take LEAVE".
After speaking to 10 people and spending 100/- on calls, finally the person came after 2 days and took 3 more days to repair.

I am a new subscriber of Dish TV at I-7052 Devinder Vihar, Sector 56, Gurgaon, VC NO [protected]. For last 3 months I am not getting all channels as per my subsription. All complaints made in this regard have fallen on deaf ears. The problem is very simple to attend but they dont have will and resource to rectify direction of my antenna. My complaint No is[protected] initially we did not note down the complaint numbers not anticipating such a pathetic response).

      I have made a payment of Rs 2040/- till Janaury 2010 but for the past one week we are not able to view any Kannada channels in Udaya Network plus Suvarna & kasturi channels.

      Every call which were attended by so called customer care just assures the best of the service but regret no positive result as yet.

      This is to inform you we have never seen such a worst customer care in the world.

      Past one week we hv been calling customer service toll free number and registered our complaint every time we got a reply to keep the STB in Channel on 550 for 15 mnts and then the service would resume had infact kept the programme ON for 2 hrs on 550 channel yet no service were available .

      Till date it reads as 101 .UNSUBSCRIBED SERVICE

      We have spoken to local service provider in Chennai and also to customer service in Chennai but all in vain .

      Can u pls give us some contact number of any responsible person so that we can atleast highlight the pain we are going through .

      It is requested you to advise what legal action should be taken for harassing the customer to the core.

      DishTV — no response

      My VC No is [protected] I wanted to know when dishtv is going to show NDTV imagine & NDTV goodtimes channels. I tried on Customer care but nobody was there who will tell me when these channels are on Dishtv. My contact No is [protected].
      It was told Mr Lucky Kapoor will tell me about query but nobody give me his contact no.
      I am ready to pay charges for these two channels if dishtv is unable to give access to these channels with in month please return my money.
      I have subscribed to the Maxi package of Dish TV. Under this subscription the channels of CNBC TV 18 and CNBC Awaaz were available. Suddenly they have removed this from the package and asking for extra charges for the same. On writing to Dish Tv I have not got a proper response and when I am asking them about the refund policy they are giving vague replies and do not answer specific queries. It is one of the worst companies I have dealt with and if you could take up the matter I can send the entire file of my communications with them. I have only recently (31st OCt) renewed my subscription with them.
      I reneived and upgrade my pakage, but the channals are not running.

      Dish TV — pain for renewal

      it really is very difficult to get this blady connection renewed and I have been strugglig to do it since last two weeks and nothing is being happening, now after a long struggle and some heated argument and long persuation i am bound to write to you guys.

      TRUST ME IT JUST A WAIST OF TIME COORDINATING WITH YOU GUYS

      to get to your notice the payment for the above mentioned vc number has alrady been made and your account has been credited by sbi card from which the payment was made.
      They have confirmed that the account of dishtv has been credited on the 26th of april with trnsaction id as VT091160016001170000003.

      this payment was made through the IVR option on the number that your guys had provided me with[protected]

      I have been talking to a lot of our rep but all a bunch or creeps..and dumb heads that you guys have on the phone...
      finnaly I have been able to speak to DINKAR NEGI in the technincal team and he is the only one who has assured me that my connection will be up an running but WHAT about ADIL THE SUPERVISOR and GOD knows whether he is the surpervisor or not...he had promissed me that the connecton will activated in about 15 min but when I spoke to the REP he mentioned that the connection will not be acitvated...

      I ust do not understand that even after you guys eat the payment of the customer still the cusotmer had to struggle for the activation...
      Are you guys aware how much time of mine has ben waisted on this cinversation and time is valuable for me, the amount of time that I have waisted on this I would have earned tonnes...

      This is complete dissatisfaction on my part that I am dealing with such companies who do not understand the importance of time and do not value...it was the same situation last time also when I was getting the connection renewed. SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE KIND OF EFFICENCY THAT DISHTV HAS, by just getting Shahrukh khan endorsed does not mean that you guys are on top of the world let me show you the ground reality and THAT IS DISHTV IS THE MOST PETHETIC ORGANISATION I HAVE EVER DELT WITH, , AND EVEN SARKARI OFFICES ARE IN A BETTER SHAPE THAN YOURS...

      I MA VERY MUCH SURE THAT THIS COMPLAINT OF MINE WILL STILL BE OF NO USE, BUT TRUST ME IN THIS WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT YOU HAVE YOUR BAAP AND THIS WILL BE MARKED TO THEM ALSO SO THAT THEY SHOULD BE AWARE THAT YOU GUYS ARE JUST NOT THE WRITE ORGANISATION TO DEAL WITH...AND YOUR SHOULD BE PENILISED FOR IT.

      Dish TV — Poor Service and Unauthorized charges

      I want to complain about th recent problems that I am facing with my Dish TV connection. I have been using Dish TV Gold package for quite sometime along with Ala-Carta packs for Bindas, English Movie Channels and Colors.

      All of a sudden when I recharged my account on 4th Oct with Rs 500, I see that the English Movie channels like Star Movies, Set Pics, etc and Bindas have been removed from my package. When I contacted the customer care(via phone) I was informed that my package has been upgraded to Gold Saver (without my consent) and I am being forced to pay extra charges for that.
      So the situation right now is that I am paying whole lot useless money for something I didn't ask for and the channels which I used to watch are no longer available to me.

      Over and above all this Dish TV is asking me to pay Rs. 40 to downgrade my package back to Gold.

      Dish TV — no service since one week

      My dish tv connection has been active but one week back suddenly i stopped getting the channels and got an error message saying, "re-install your set top box by pressing ok" after i press ok i am getting an error message saying that "verify if your set top box is properly connected to the dish". Even though the connection is perfect it is showing the same message . I tried calling the dish tv guys but they always say the same thing "sir your requesty number is so and so and we will get back to you within 24 hours". i have tried contacting them but i have still got no help. I am fed up of dish tv's rediculous customer service

      .. I RECHARGE MY DISHTV TV, 3 HOURS AGO , NO CHANNELS DISPLAYING YET, KINDLY HELP ME
      My name is Rajes Reddy K N, i have taken a new dishtv connection on 16th Dec 2011. now i am unable to watch the list of channels they offered. when checked with customer care, they informed that there is allignment problem for which they will be sending their technician.

      I have registered the complaint on 15th Jan 2012, with the reference no. 78484651. and i have been informed that within 24 hours problem will be solved.
      But nobody has turned up to solve the same. and i received the SMS stating the the problem has been resolved. again i called customer care on 17th Jan 2012. they informed that again they will raise the new complaint and it will take another 24 hours to solve the problem.

      I insisted them to close the issue before 11.00 AM , 18.01.2012. as i cant wait for them whole day. but now it is 12.15 PM, still no body bothered to call me back from the company.

      Now i am not interested with this connection because of their worst service. i request you to get my amount refund and let them take back their instrument.

        This is my sencond maily through consumer complaint.
        I have installed DISH TV connection at my home at Kalyankunj, Vadodara.
        As my new (Original) setup box was not working (tunner problem), our local distributor replace it with old one until my new is working i.e. beofre 4 months. (07.08.2009, date of new setup box given to the distributor for repiaring). Now I have approached chhani for the getting my original setup box, they are not responding properly and telling me to go to the higher authrorities and spending day by day eventhough I got the message that my original got repaired. I totally approached around 5-6 time to chhani office. I therefore request you to get back my original setup box at your earliest. As I am getting the good signal from the setup box received from the Chhani office and also not giving good performance. I would like to tell that the dish tv is one of the best channel tv and hope they will take immediate action. I feel very upset after paying full amount I am not satisfied with the response from their office and performance of the channel is also not upto the mark. I request you to look into this matter and do the needful urgently.

        My final request is he setup box which was purchased by me has to be connected back.

          i have dish tv connection (parent child ) with independent ID nos. For parent units it is [protected] & for child unit [protected]. while recharging with pletinum pack of Rs. 700/- I am getting Dish tv only for a months in a parent units. This is second time i have faced this problem. It is also to say that i am not atall interested to continue with child unit. As both having separate ID nos. Then why it is so.               Dear sir,
              The service of this company"DishTV"is very poor .I have made a complaint for not recieving the signal through helpline.Just after a little time many agents contacted me and offered me to provide service against the payment of Rs.175/-.I told them that the signal strength & quality at my set top box are more than 60% and the problem is persisting at the end of service provider.Hearing this they disconnected the call.When we again called the helpline they answered me that your signal will be refreshed in next 2 hours but the problem was not solved .Inspite of the problem to be solved ,the helpline started to ignore my telephone calls .the next morning when i called through my mobile phone,some other person took my call and told me to do the same and my channels will be refreshed in another 2 hours,but am very sad to say that my connection is still not working.I am missing the important programmes on my Television i.e. 2nd t20 match between India &Sri Lanka.It has happened with me more than one time earlier.I have just renewed my dishtv account with Rs.400.00 on 6/12/2009.Plz give me relief.

                We are using dish tv service from last 18months but we are not satisfied regarding recharge process. We are facing late recharge for 2-3days every time. Customer care numbers given by company are never give sufficient support & we are loosing minimum our balance Rs.15-20 each & every time WITHOUT GETTING ANY RESULT.

                This time we have recharge our account by Rs.125/- before 2days.but till the date our service is interrupted and Please recharge your accounts to get this service.

                Due to this problem we are going to think an another option e.g. Airtel, Reliance,TATA Sky etc.

                    Dear Sir/Madam:

                    This complaint as follows is against the Manager, Dish TV India Ltd, Sector 16 A, Film city, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 210 301.

                    1. I got my Dish TV installed with one TV on 30/3/2005 (VC [protected]).

                    2. I got my second TV added (VC [protected]) on 15/2/2007 with additional subscription of Rs. 100 per month.

                    3. Since I had MAXI package of channels in my first TV, I had been getting the
                    whole MAXI package in the second TV as well for the last more than 2 years. That was until the second week of March 2009 when all of a sudden channels like Star channels, CNN, and BBC stopped showing on the 2nd TV although my subscription was renewed up to 26/5/2009. All of a sudden without informing me Dish TV started to call the 2nd TV (with reduced number of channels) as a child TV. We do not have any child; I watch CNN and BBC on the 2nd TV.

                    4. It had been my understanding that whatever package is subscribed for the first TV, it is also applicable to the second TV as well. That also had been my experience for the first 2 years with Dish TV.

                    5. When I asked Dish TV Customer Care about the missing channels on the 2nd TV, I was given different answers by their representatives, such as “Take out the smart card from the second set top box, clean and replace”, “You have to pay extra for CNN, BBC etc because this set is for the “child”, “Read your agreement it is given in there that you have to buy the additional channels for the 2nd TV”, etc. etc.

                    6. I sent an e-mail to Dish TV on 15/3/2009 to restore all MAXI channels in my 2nd TV like it was before otherwise I will go to Consumer Court.

                    7. I sent another letter dated 30/3/2009 by courier to Dish TV to their Noida address. I asked them where is our agreement which states that the second TV (VC) will not have the same package (MAXI in my case) as the first TV (VC). I requested them to furnish a copy of that agreement to me because I have not seen or signed any agreement with this clause. I also informed Dish TV that if I did not receive a copy of the agreement by 30 April 2009, I would be left with no option but to lodge a complaint with the Jaipur District Consumer Court to redress my grievance and to compensate my loss for not getting all the MAXI channels on the 2nd TV and also the agony and mental torture in dealing with Dish TV.

                    8. Dish TV has not yet responded to my letter of 30/3/2009 although over 7 months have passed after the deadline of 30 April 2009.

                    9. Since Dish TV has completely failed to redress my grievance, I request to please ask Dish TV to resolve this case as soon as possible.

                      Sir,

                      The service of Dish Tv has been transformed into a cheat one. I recharged for Rs. 200/- as a silver pack customer. Dish Tv charged Rs.4.11 per day in silver package . My next recharged date is 12th December 2009 as shown in my STB. But after 29.11.09 my account has been deativated on account of nonpayment.

                      On being enquired the worthless customer care executive informed me that a) A-La-Carte pack, b )Extreme Cartoon c) Extreme Sports has been activated suddenly for which next recharge date has been come down from 12.12.09 to 29.11.09. ( in the process more than Rs. 100/- has been deducted against my account )

                      Please look into the matter immediately and inform me of such Fraudulent activities of Dish Tv . This is not the first time , in recent past they did the same activities. If i don't get proper justice from this complain I am bound to write to furthur authorities.

                          Well at present Neo sports channels are not present on Dishtv and further i think

                          It is better that Dish TV is not showing that Neo Sports channels since it will cost around Rs. 45 per month and to pay such an amount when the matches are available on DD is obviously not worth.

                          Neo sports have launched two channels while having very few cricket days only to increase the rates of both the channels. They have very few matches which can be easily accommodated in a single channel. Neo Sports has done it only to increase to increase the rates its channels.

                            I am Madhu Dubey resident of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. I took Dish TV Connection on 19/07/2009 under welcome package applicable for 6 months and changed my plan to SILVER Pacakage on 31/08/2009 VC No [protected] valid for 6 months.But suddenly I received a message on my mobile that 2nd week that that my validity period is over and I need to recharge my Dish TV connection. After deep diving they told me I am using GOLD Package which they have done on their own. Now they are saying whereever you want to take this matter but you will have to pay money now. I am also having receipt of SILVER Pacakage No 2518. Please look into the matter and take some serious steps. I think this is the hidden strategy used by Dish TV service to make money as I have seen many complaints of similar nature on consumer forum.

                                I MR. A. K. SARAB beg to state that I am as customer of your esteemed organization i.e., dish T. V. Being a customer of your orgn. for last three years over and I got very nice service towards connection and recharge. As I found now the said instrument is not functioning so, I gave the instrument to repair at your service centre which is in jeypore on 01.11.2009. After ten days I came to know the box is facing liquid problem and I inform them to send one new instrument in the against of destroy one. But after I request him to give a new one neither they are response to me nor they are giving any service . As I am facing this kind of problem for this 20 days for enjoying the entertainment through ur dish T. V. so, who is going to bear the recharge bill.                                   I'm a customer of DISH TV; my VC no. [protected];
                                  I'm facing difficulties with DISH TV regarding regularization of payment made by me to suit to the related to the option chosen.

                                  I paid Rs. 700 on 15.09.2009 (Transaction Id :[protected] towards “Platinum Pack” which is valid up to 19.11.2009.

                                  On 14.11.2009, I paid Rs. 700 (Transaction Id:[protected] towards “Gold Pack”, which is valid up to 25.02.2010.

                                  DISH TV is very much prompt of converting my Platinum Pack to Gold Pack on early hours of 15.11.2009, though I was eligible for my platinum pack up to 19.11.2009.

                                  DISH TV cheated me for 5 days, by de-grading from Platinum pack to Gold Pack.
                                  And also, my due date for present Gold pack got reduced by 5 days.

                                  On contacting & explaining to DISH TV –so called Customer Care, it apparently looks that, DISH TV has put some persons, who don’t have any responsibility & accountability.

                                  One side, Mr. Shahrukh khan tirelessly trying to campaign ( though it is mis-guiding) for DISH TV. But, he don't feel the grass root these type of problems.

                                  With this type of irregular activity ( cheating), DISH TV is earning lot of Money.
                                  ( e.g, approx. Rs. 10 / day / customer  for 2 lakh customer = Rs. 20 Lakh / day)

                                  It is to be understood by DISH TV Owner, Mr. Subhas Chandra that, they are getting regular advance renewal from customers, for which, it should be responsibility of DISH TV to look, whether customers of them are getting satisfied of the uninterrupted & required level & quality service.

                                  Request to advise the concerned and correct the needful, with sufficient compensation of min. one year free viewing of present gold pack.

                                  I want to recharge my dish tv. But i forgot the VC Number and it is also not displayed on my tv. So please give me the solution of this.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I got installed Dish TV DTH on 8/6/2009 vide challen no 3732 from your authorised distributor
                                    M/s Chhabra Communication SCO-26 Mugal canal Market Karnal-132001 ( Haryana).I got renewed my packages 0n[protected] from platinum to silver and paid Rs.700/- for three months when there was no message on the message box for next renewel date I contacted him but I was informed that you should not worry your next renewel date is 14/1/2010. But I received a message on my mobile 14/11/2009 that my platinum package is expiring on 14/11/2009.on enquiring I was told that we have given a message to Dish Tv why they have not changed we dont know .Anyhow i got again recharged and paid Rs. 300/ to M/s Chhabra Communication on 14/11/2009 for silver package with one additional COLOR channel. vide receipet no. 1420 dated 14/11/2009.But my additional channel COLOR channel did not work then I telephoned to the distributor on 16,17 & 18/11/2009.he informed me that we hvae already activated your request may be there is some problem in Box and bring box to our shop and pay Rs.170/-extra. when I asked him that this box is under warranty period and you are liable to repair. He misbehaved me on telephone and threatned to do what ever you want to do. This is highly intolerable and cheating the public by demanding extra money under warranty period

                                    I got reharged on 14th Nov and he does not bother to attend my call upto 19/11/22209

                                    I would request you to take necessary action against against the distributor and if possible cacel his distributirship

                                    WE ARE A DEALER FOR DISH. WE SENT A BOY TO BRING RECHARGE COUPON FOR RS. 10000/- FROM RDC GHAZIABAD ( U.P.). 2 MEN WERE SITTING ON THE COUNTOR NAMED IS NEERAJ RASTOGI AND DEEPAK. THEY 100/- BACK TO MY MAN IN LIEU OF ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT IN PLACE OF 6%. AFTER ASKING ABOUT THE THING, THEY MISBEHAVED WITH US ALSO. PL TAKE SOME NECCESSARY ACTION AGAINST BOTH THE PERSON AND THE ORGANISATION WHO IS INDULGING IN THE MALPRACTILCE. EARLY ACTION WILL BE APPRICATED.

                                        i am recharge 1 month pack but last 2 month this is valid for only 20 days after 20 days service is discontinued and i am geting msg please recharge ur due date is what ever .if i recarge 1 month pack then why is happen it if some channel are not included in this pack then why u not delete that channel ,
