Early September, HDFC Kolkata contacted me to regarding a FREE UPGRADE that they had for me- a new card that would be protected from losses when stolen/lost. After repeated follow-ups by the Bank I was told- 1. This is a Free upgrade for the first year 2. I would receive a new card within 30 days and my old card would get deactivated 3. When the OneAssist guys call for verification- I should tell them I would be paying the fees(according to the agent- in reality HDFC will be paying it. ) Being an old customer, I relied on HDFC this time though the verification call was weird. I have been charged for OneAssist on my statement and HDFC Customer Care Support tells me - 'Ma'am you agreed to it!' and gives me an email to write to. 02/09/2015 ONE ASSIST MFEE 1, 799.00 I would like my card with HDFC to be cancelled and these fraudulent charges to be reversed at once. I do not have time for a bank that scams its people to sell its products! Additionally, the new HDFC card never reached me till date, since HDFC's courier partners just send messages that say the door was locked, without any prior intimation of delivery despite providing two mobile numbers. Thanks, Kheya Datta

On 15th Aug 2015, I booked one flight ticket for 24th Aug 2015

Delhi-Mumbai journey from HDFC Smartbuy website using my HDFC

Credit Card for payment and Cleartrip as booking partner.
The ticket amount was Rs 3339/- and Smartbuy gave me flat Rs

350/- as discount, So ticket cost for me was Rs 2989/-
The flight ticket was booked me with Refundable option in case

      of cancellation.

      Cleartrip Booking Ref Number :[protected]
On 24th Aug 2015, I called Cleartrip to cancel the ticket, but

they said they will not process any refund to me as the ticket

      is non-refundable.
On 25th Aug 2015, Cleartip reverted on my mail saying that

they will process the refund as the ticket was actually

refundable and they said they will refund Rs 1789/-(Rs 1500 +

50 cancellation charges ) to Smartbuy team which will be done

in 5-7 working days. Thereafter HDFC Smartbuy team will credit

that amount in HDFC Credit Card account.
On 26th Aug 2015, Cleartrip refunded the amount to Smartbuy

      team.
From 27th Aug 2015, I am following with SmartBuy team on e-

mail and toll free number, but till now they have refunded

only 465.22/- in my HDFC credit card account.
When I call on toll free number, no one picks up the call and

on email no one gives reply.
These HDFC SMARTBUY people are so careless that even after

escalating these matters directly to their superiors, they

      don't reply.
      Please someone help me here.

My Name is Sudhamadhuri. I applied for a credit card in the year 2011. However I had never used it, , not even registered it to my customer ID. I don't have the card with me now, I don't remember card number either. Now when I am applying for a home loan, my cibil report shows card had been revoked with some maintenance charges. Now I am trying to find further details so that I can get a no due certificate by paying the said amount. I tried calling customer care. I am unable to receive any kind of details from them. I am unable to reach right department although I waited in the line for about 20 mins. Once they took my call and they asked me to send a mail thru my registered email id when I had the card in 2011. They cannot provide any details unless I have registered mobile number with me which I was using in 2011. How can any one have all those details.

Dears, I am a Jet Privilege member and also an account holder of HDFC bank! Recently I applied for the Jet Privilege – HDFC debit card using Net banking! To my surprise I had to apply 3 times online but luck! - THIS was 4 months back Finally when Sagar from HDFC called me to ask in case I have some issues with the bank and I told him about the same! He helped me with changing my name, my address and also by applying for the JP- HDFC debit card physically! PFA my jet privilege card and my HDFC debit card for your reference. As soon as the card was issued to me 500 - 600rs were deducted as the annual fees, just for me to know that the new debit card has Mr Pankaj Mongias (name informed to me by Jet when i requested to merge my old JP number and new JP number which ws printed on debiit card) JP Number printed on it! - I received the card after 16th September 2015 I had to block my card so that a new could be issued! So some weeks of not using the card to withdraw in case of emergency! - BLOCKED the card on 30th Sept I had emailed HDFC and Jet on 30th September - till date NO resolution, NO calls Nothing at all Just one call from Geetanjali (who was also marker on my email) asking for the issues and on 30th sept and today it 7th October - NO CALLS, NO CARD ! Is this really the way HDFC – Jet work?????? Hoping to hear from one of you soon! Regards, Pooja Atara Dutta

HDFC Bank has a policy of reversing the membership fee (Rs. 448.32) of a credit card if Rs. 50, 000 is spent in the following 12 months. Though I hold a free membership credit card with HDFC (**** **** **** 8007), I was once charged with membership fee (Oct'13). After several escalation they admitted the fact that the card shouldn't have been charged with membership fee and assured that the fee would be reversed back if I spend Rs. 50, 000 in the next 12 months. I spent the said amount in the next 12 months and the fee was reversed on Nov'14. Now, HDFC bank charged the same amount again saying that they could find the original debit against the credit made on Nov'14 and hence re-debited the same on my credit card. According to them the credit made on Nov'14 was inadvertent!! I have a reference mail ('HBL=[protected]' ([protected])) wherein I had the discussion with HDFC against the membership fee charged on Oct'13 (PFA image). Yet, they say they could find the original transaction where the membership fee was charged!! Being a financial institution, playing with customers money is the least we expect. It would be my request to consumer forum to look into this fraud and help us to seek justice against the same.

It's not exactly "membership fee debited".

HDFC Bank found that the membership fee which was reversed on Nov'14 as "inadvertent" and hence re-reversed the amount thereby charging me twice!!

However, as you might have seen, the membership fee was charged on Oct'13 and as per policy (if 50, 000 INR is spent following 12 months) was reversed on Nov'14.

It is strange that even after repeatedly telling HDFC about the original membership fee charged on Oct'13 - they are unable to find the debit note!!

Could we really trust a financial institution who are unable to find an authentic monetary transaction?

Respected Sir, I have taken home loan from the HDFC Bank. But the Bank is still charging interest @ 10.05 whereas the RBI has cut the repo rate upto 1.25 level. This attitude of the banks defeats the very purpose of decreasing the repo rates for motivating he people to buy homes and thus the aim of the RBI to enhance the economic activities in the country remains just a dream. The banks give the benefits of reduced rates only to future customers. Whereas in case repo rate increases the burden is immediately transferred to the existing customers also. It is my request to the RBI authorities that that this benefit of repo rate should be directly transferred to the accounts of the borrowers, i.e., the existing customers also of all the banks. Otherwise, what is the use of wasting money for the benefit of banks which are already gaining alarming growth in their income levels as is evident from their quarterly/half yearly/yearly press releases. With kind regards, Ramesh Chander M. [protected]

I hve never used this account. I am aghast to see this has happened second time inspite of me not using the demat servies and when the account was given to me it was told that it would be absolutely free. A very big blunder done from HDFC person. A DD # ******345 issued on 11/09/2015 by IOB was disowned and returned to me by HDFC saying incorrect info. However the problem was from the end of HDFC bank which did not consider the entire amount mentioned on DD and ignored 38 paise because of which the DD was disowned. I wonder this kind of mistakes are happening in #1 bank of India "HDFC". I suffered a lot of inconvenience because of the above issue. Kindly look into the matter on high priority and take note of this kind of miss from your team on serious grounds. Sankalp Gupta [protected]

Just don't consider the DD clearing after 20+ days (that too after my efforts) a solution of the above problem. It had to happen anyways as the instrument was in itself a valid one from the day of issue.

                        Hello Team,

A Sorry Call doesn't suffice the stuff. If i had been at the doer end and have said words like Sorry for such stuff would your bank have entertained it.

Don't you deduct various type of charges on such kind of financial situations like cheque bounce or late payment etc...

I do not understand one simple thing your entire chain of people did not realize the mistake unless i made them realize it.How can HDFC boost to be # 1 Bank, when there exist so many loopholes within your system.

I too need a compensation for this mistake from the Bank.

Need some serious banking advice to deal with… ‘H’aughty ‘D’evious ‘F’ilthy ‘C’ashiers! As any normal working professional, one has two loans going(one personal loan and one vehicle loan), which one has briefly defaulted due to prolonged life-threatening illness. Then, as one springs back to life(only to pay of a lot of private borrowings, since hospitalization far exceeds insurance cover) the bank tells you that there is no contingency fund that it has to consider such cases(as such, very few banks offer advice on insuring the loan, when you borrow – except say a home loan product! And one learns the hard way.). So one applies for reprieve and is offered a cosmetic settlement on the personal loan(since the recovery is larger) and a simple pre-closure on the vehicle loan(since most of the loan has been paid off and the recovery is smaller!). As a matter of financial planning, one then decides to take up things consecutively. As a low hanging fruit, one PAYS OFF THE VEHICLE LOAN and applies for an NOC to sell the car, so that one can sell the vehicle and pay off the personal loan. The BANK DENIES TO ISSUE THE NOC for the vehicle loan saying that one needs to accept the offer to pay off the personal loan first. This is a classic deadlock with almost nowhere to go. You cannot sell the car, in spite of having paid out the vehicle loan. You cannot pay off the personal loan, in spite of having the readiness to sell the car for it. So now what does one do? Get stuck with a depreciating car that the bank has its paws upon. Live under the pressure of an unpaid loan that the bank is burdening with levies upon. Essentially live at the mercy of this bank that now enjoys the privilege of worsening the situation – to no conclusion whatsoever. The borrower in question is me. The bank is question is the surely very inhuman and point blank callous housing corporation, for which I only have a few kind words. In my long consumer interactions and banking experience(spanning SBI, BoM, Citi and ICICI), I firmly believe that this one the most cash thirsty bloodhound, out loose in the market. Having made an icon of their ageing promoter – as some sort of a messiah that the Indian economy has ever seen, these ‘quasi-zamindars’ are incorrigible. NOTE: As a brand professional, I wish to make a design observation. The blue in their logo probably mean its unflinching cold-blooded core identity and the red means ruthless cash-fired market ambitions. And the square maze, means a water-tight edgy gridlock that you cannot get out of, once trapped.

On October 5, 2015, I went to HDFC ATM which is in the premises of "Hotel Sai renaissance", Kadugodi, Bangalore. I have inserted my card in the ATM and entered details to withdraw money. While ATM is counting money, there was a power outage and even the ATM machine was shutdown. It neither released any money to me nor returned my card after restarting automatically. There was no security guard present at the ATM during that time. Now i don't have any money and i don't have my debit card. I called customer care and they opened a ticket and said that i will get my card only after 5-6 working days. I explained that i didn't do any mistake and it's not my fault. After some discussion, customer care manager assured a faster resolution but there is no update from bank. I called customer care today and again the representative said that it will take 5-6 working days.

Why should i beg others some money everyday because HDFC ATM has some problem and sucked my card in. I have good enough money in my account but i have take help from others everyday. They don't even have courtesy to call and update me the status. Last week i was out of town on a business trip... what could have happened to me if it happened when i was on trip? They don't have any process to resolve this issue then and there. Shouldn't the bank be held responsible for this? Don't they need to have a workaround / provision where they immediately issue the card to customer?? I want to complain to RBI and please let me know how to complain. HDFC should be held responsible for the pain i am going through and should be fined heavily for this irresponsible behavior.

After 28 days my husband got a call from their customer care department in Mumbai and was told that you add yourself as a smoker in policy as suggested by our underwriting team else we will not able to issue a policy. However in reality he doesn't smoke at all. I just wanted to understand the reason behind this. As this is absolutely a case of forcing someone to put false and misleading facts in the policy.

Also, TAT to issue or cancel a policy is 15 days as per IRDA as also mentioned on your website and It has been complete 28 days when I made payment and neither I have received any notification for cancellation nor issuance.

They can't make full out of their customer like this.

                                  Thanks
                                  Pooja Juneja

Personal Loan Settlement Dear Mr. HDFC Bank manager/Loan Officer/Sr. Executive manager This is Suleman Shaikh holding Loan Account Number 24121816 now these days I am getting calls from collection agency. Also Mr. Shakir Rakhangi once visited met place when I was not at home and spoke to my wife very rudely. He also spoke to me over the phone very rudely and threatened me that if I don’t pay the loan HDFC will repossess my property and auction it. Fortunately I have recorded his calls and I can sent it to you. Currently I am in deep depression and the only option left for me is to commit suicide if this is not resolved. Below are my details... Name- (as it appears in your Loan application form): Shaikh Suleman Sultan Address-Flat 401, C/43, Sector 5 Shanti Nagar Mira Road East Thane 401 107 Contact number(s): [protected] - Type of Loan (e.g. Personal/Express Loan Plus/Auto): Personal Loan. - Amount of Loan: 450000 Current Outstanding-313160.85 Proposed short settlement amount-120000 So Dear HDFC Bank, I am approving the above details myself as I am the victim of taking personal loan and not paying the further installments after 23 months of my loan disbursement. Summary: As I already stated that I only paid the 23 installments out of 60 installments to HDFC Bank and still there is 37 installments is left for paying out to HDFC Bank. So I noticed from past few months that the HDFC Bank collection agents started harassing me...That is very natural I do not have any complaints regarding this from HDFC bank. Reason for not paying out my installments: Dear HDFC Bank I got heavy loss in my business in the year of 2015. I tried my best to clear all the outstanding amounts but now I don’t have capacity to pay due amounts. & now I am completely depended on my relatives and my credibility is also zero in other banks due to name in CIBIL. So now I want to settle my personal loan with the help of my relatives. I have met Mr. Shakir Rakhangi from Kanjurmarg Branch and offered him the settlement amount of 100000 but he asked me to pay 210000.I do not have the capacity to pay 210000 due to my financial condition therefore I am agreeing to pay 120000. Now it’s my polite request with bank to settle my personal loan with this small value with considering my position. This is enough and I just want to say that I have closed my business completely and I am still is Jobless and as the HDFC Bank harassing me day by day now a days so I have decide to settle the whole amount at one time with the help of my Relatives/ friends and Parents... So I requested to you Dear HDFC Bank Please show your mercy on me and please call me and please settle my loan account as soon as possible as one time settlement. I will be very grateful to you... Following are my details for your convenience Sir: Name: Suleman Shaikh Personal Loan Account Number: 24121816 Address: Flat 401, C/43, Sector 5 Shanti Nagar Mira Road East Thane 401 107 I will be very oblige if you can decide a medium settlement amount for my personal loan... Thank You HDFC Bank...
