On 21.09.2013 at around 12:00 pm i got a call from [protected] regarding an offer in relation to my existing HDFC credit card. It was been described that since i'am a regular customer and rarely use my reward points so a discount card has been offered to me which will carry a discount of 20 % in any purchase. I had two credit cards from HDFC and CITI banks, both with credit limit Rs.35000/ and Rs.38000 each. Due to some financial issues I could not pay for the cards for around 6 months and the banks closed my credit card. But later in the month of May'2013 I cleared all my outstanding amount Rs.58,000/ and Rs.65,000/ which includes all the fees and charges. I have obtained No Due Letter from both the banks.
