I am having a PLOC account with your HSBC bank, this account have been started 2 to 3 years back and till date in my account there is NO default happened.

I had received a letter from your end 2 to 3 months back stating that "You had failed and neglected to respond to all our previous remands related to payment of your overdue account" If I had not made any default in my account how this can happen and it have been written in the letter that this information will be updated in CIBIL. Then I called the number given in the letter and asked your people about this, they told me that this letter have been send to you by mistake, you can ignore the same.

Yesterday also I received one similar letter from your end dated 26/09/2009, when I checked with your team member (complaint no. [protected]) regarding the letter it have been told to me that "It might have happened by mistake" How a mistake can happen twice and it is a system generated letter also. How you can send such type of letters to the customers if there is no default in his account and stating that your details will be updated in CIBIL, if I don't have such track record.

My credit card had a total outstanding of Rs 110,700 as on 4th September. The due date was 26th September . On 25th I got a call from the customer care asking me for the payment. I wanted to settle the entire amount, so I asked them to send their executive. 26th, 27th and 28th were holidays, hence the executive was supposed to come on 29th. The executive however did not come on 29th. So on 30th , I called up the IVR system and came to know from the automated response, that the total outstanding was now Rs 111,700/-. I assumed that it would be due to late payment charges, hence I issues a cheque of Rs 111,700/- on 30th September, which due to bank holiday on 30th and 2nd Oct, got cleared only on 3rd October. Today when I called up the customer care to verify if my credit card balance was zero or not, I came to know that my balance was Rs 3600/- on account of finance charges.

My statement is generated on 4th of every month, so why were the finance charges levied when I had made the total outstanding payment on 3rd itself. Also, nowhere in the terms and conditions does it mention the duration for which the finance charges will be applied. Also, why should I pay Rs 3600/ because their executive did not turn up on the decided date. Also , why did the IVR system show the total outstanding without the finance charges if there were supposed to be any on 1st October. How come in one day i.e between 1st and 3rd October , suddenly there were finance charges levied.

Its extremely stressful to have these conversations with the customer care guys since they are rude and extremely non customer friendly.

I had CANCELLED TATA AIG Health Insurance Plan, applied thru HSBC Credit Card in the first Month, but neither HSBC nor Tata Aig Cancelled the policy, & kept on charging premium amount, whenever i recd the bill i called up customer care, everytime i was told not to pay it would be reversed, but they never reversed, moreover they charged me interest as well as finance charges for the same. ultimately they have reported my case to CIBIL, due to this i am unable to get any loan from any of the bank. HSBC Legal dept head Nilofer spoke to me & told me not to pay she will reverse the amount, same has not yet happened. I have forwarded all documents to HSBC credit card dept 10 times. but in vain. HSBC Credit Card — BILLED FOR HEALTH INSURANCE WITHOUT INFORMATION

I took a credit card from HSBC in June 2008 confirming that there are no annual charges attached with the card. However I recieved my first bill of Rs 785 for the period of 22nd June-08 to 22nd-july-08.

The Bill was clasified as below:

30 JUN Lifestyle Processing Fee 279.78
24 JUN REPAYMENT PROTECTION PREMIUM 505.62

I considered it to be just an error and thought of calling the bank, but due to a hectic schedule it slipped my mind and subsequently I recieved a second bill.

I then called the customer care and was informed that I had opted for a health insurance plan along with the card which I had not. I asked them to waive off the charges but they kept saying that they could not do it as the bill was generated and I had complianed late.

My concern is why should I pay if I haven't used the card till now and also when I had not opted for any plans. I kept recieving bills with increasing amounts and got a few calls as weel to pay my baance. I kept asking the same question, but they were not ready to waive off the charges.

When I stopped recieving the calls I made 3 calls to the customer care and also to a senior person based in chennai, but got the same response from everywhere.I stopped getting calls and the bills, then I called again to the customer care and was informed that the bill is now over Rs 6800 and the collection department will be taking care of it. I called the collection department and was informed that a seperate agency would be taking care of it. I don't understand what is going on and what should I do.
How can a bank loose its reputation for a small amount of money. I am worried about my staus in CIBIL which can affect my future credits.

Kindly guide me where and whom should I approach.
      dear sir ;

i am credit card holder of hsbc classic. I have received statement showing due payment of Rs. 1582.92. please let us know how these amount arrives.

if it is annual fees, I am not interested in your credit card as other banks giving us life time free card..

kindly give us details of due amount .

HSBC Bank — Annual fee charged and interest incorrect

      Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been issued a credit card from HSBC (card no.[protected]) as a free card. At the time of applying for the credit card as well as at the time of telephonic verification, I had orally confirmed that the cards were life time free cards. However, recently my card account has been debited with annual charges. When contacted, the officials in HSBC now say that HSBC cards are not life time free cards and it is subject to annual charges and that it has been mentioned in the tariff card of the credit card service guide.

It is a matter of common sense for me that when all the other banks are offering life time free cards from around five years back, why would one customer go for a paid card? The point is that at the time of issue and verification of credit card I have been cheated by telling that the cards are life time free.

It is true that when we do not have the chances of getting a free card in any other bank then we would go to a paid card.

When i received SMS 23/11/2009 saying total payment of 27271 and as per the calculation it should have been Rs.24500 .

i gave a call to customer care said some extra charge have been added to my card and Customer care person replied your card is not free card(which is cover in above paragraph) and they calculated inserted for which i already paid for Rs.20000 and i requested to block the card and i asked for reversal of extra charges interference no[protected] but no action is taken yet.

I faced same problem last november'08 they charged me with annual fee. Please look up the break up charges.

Can you help me on this...Also is there any RBI rule on interest charges which these bank can charged by these bank

With a great difficulty I'm paying your dues but you people are making my life very difficult.

I used to receive call from your collection department every day at least 20 times regularly but i used to explain the problem daily but still they use to ask same question and give same reply for my problem..

Which really disturbed my regular life. Please instruct your staff / call center not to harass over phone.

I holed payment due to above reason.

Again I would like to request you please reverse the late fee for last months, annual fee and extra intrest charge as charged in the statement. Based on your response I shall make the payment and reconsider my decision whether to continue with the card or not.

      Regards
      Gnanakumar.P
HSBC had levied wrong finance charges and late payment charges of Rs. 1360.60 on my card in November 2007, after making several requests on the phone and writing 4 letters to the bank over the last 2 years, till date they have not reversed the charges and they continue to levy more finance charges on these and have inflated the amount to 14702.87.

Earlier the bank did not respond to my letters sent in April 2008 & June 2008nor were they accpeting my card cancellation request.

However after writing to the nodal officer in December 2009, I did get a reply confirming that the card had been cancelled, but they have refused to reverse the charges.

The detailed trail of events is as under...

The problem dates back to October 2007…

November 07: I received a call from HSBC inquiring if I have made the credit card payment and since I was traveling I had informed them that the cheque was handed over at my office and would be dropped at the drop box and subsequently I had confirmed with my office that the cheque was dropped on 07/11/07.

17/10/07 – 16/11/07 bill: I was charged undue finance charges of Rs. 1360.60(incl. service tax) on supposedly delayed payment of credit card, as explained earlier the payment was dropped on time, hence I called up the customer service and explained the problem and requested for reversal of the wrong charges, but she insisted that the payment was dropped late and hence I requested for card cancellation.

12/12/07: Received a call from HSBC (from Chennai - 044 code) asking for reason of cancellation and when I explained them the above reason they said that the charges would be reversed and I should continue to use the card.
There was an outstanding payment of Rs 382.45 in the statement period 17/10/07 – 16/11/07 and I was assured I am not supposed to pay this, since the wrong charges in this statement of Rs. 1360.60 which had been reversed and the current outstanding was nil.

17/11/07 – 15/12/07 bill: Charges were not reversed as conveyed to me and to my surprise additional late payment + finance charges of Rs. 662.20 (incl. service tax) were added.

24/12/2007: I received a call from collection department, which was surprising since the last date of payment was on 07/01/08, when asked the reason for the call they informed that 2 bills were unpaid (17/10/07 – 16/11/07 bill & 17/11/07 – 15/12/07 bill), hence I discussed with them about the 17/10/07 – 16/11/07 bill which I was told has nil payment after adjustment of charges, they assured me both the bills charges would be reversed and I should make a payment of the actual spending on my card of Rs. 7476.85 immediately. They said they would send someone for collection and I should not drop the cheque at the drop-box.
By this time I was already fed-up of your false promises and told them I would make the payment only if the card would be cancelled, they said I should make the payment and the card cancellation request was accepted and would be processed after the cheque was cleared.
The payment of Rs. 7476.85 was collected on 30/12/07.

16/12/07 – 16/01/08 bill: To my utter surprise and frustration I received a bill showing o/s of Rs. 2092.92 (all of which was due to wrong charges)
      Rs. 1360.60 17/10/07 – 16/11/07 bill
      Plus Rs. 662.20 17/11/07 – 15/12/07 bill
Plus Rs. 182.48 added now in the 16/12/07 – 16/01/08 bill
Less Rs. 112.36 unexplainable credit of charges which is not corresponding to any given month
      Total Rs. 2092.95

15/01/08: I used my card to check whether the card cancellation was atleast done or not. Again to my frustration the transaction got through.

22/02/08: I once again used my card to check whether the card cancellation was done or not. Again to my frustration the transaction got through.

06/03/08: Called customer service spoke to Mr. Nilesh and informed him of the entire above stated history and requested to accept request for card cancellation, he transferred to the card cancellation department and even after 7 mins of hold nobody came on the line. I disconnected and dialed again and after 20 mins of hold the call was disconnected by your customer service department.

17/12/08 – 15/03/08 bill: O/s was Rs. 6519.59, out of which the actual spend was only of Rs. 3203.33, the balance Rs. 3316.26 was the accumulation of wrong charges.
      Rs. 1360.60 17/10/07 – 16/11/07 bill
      Plus Rs. 662.20 17/11/07 – 15/12/07 bill
      Plus Rs. 182.48 16/12/07 – 16/01/08 bill
      Less Rs. 112.36 16/12/07 – 16/01/08 bill unexplainable credit
      Plus Rs. 840.24 17/01/08 – 16/02/08 bill
      Less Rs. 25.00 17/01/08 – 16/02/08 fuel surcharge credit
      Plus Rs. 408.10 17/02/08 – 16/03/08 bill
      Total Rs. 3316.26

16/04/08: Submitted a letter to the bank explaining the whole problem and requested for card cancellation. I had clearly stated in the letter that I would not pay any of the undue charges that had been levied and the actual amount due of Rs. 3203.33 was already paid.

10/06/08: Since the bills had still not stopped coming and every month finance charges were being piled up on the undue charges, I wrote a reminder letter to the bank for cancellation of card & requested for a reply.

2008 August 1st week: Since the bills and piling up of finance charges had still not stopped and no reply letter was received from the bank I once again called the customer service and was told to visit the branch and the issue would be resolved.
I visited the Andheri East branch in August 1st week but the executive at the branch told me that he can’t do anything about it and registered a feedback no. [protected] requesting for status confirmation letter. He also suggested that I speak to the call centre from the branch itself and they suggested to get in touch with the recovery agents to settle the issue. I had been given the following telephone numbers and contact persons[protected]Seema Shekhavat) /[protected]Gaurav Mehra), however I could never get through these numbers or these people were never available.

In between I did get a call or two for payment and I had requested for a reply to my earlier letters, but till date no reply has been received from the bank. However the bank diligently keeps sending me bills for a card which does not exist anymore levying finance charges month on month on an amount which was initially under dispute.

I believe I had tried enough to set the record straight with the bank but since there was no response to either letters or any satisfactory reply on calls I had dropped the matter choosing to ignore the wrong bills the way the bank had chosen to ignore my complaints.

2009 November 4th week: I was in for a rude shock when I started receiving obnoxious calls from your Delhi call centre for the payments. That is when I dug up all the previous paper work and give it one last try to get it settled with the bank and sent a letter on 07/12/09.

The bank has finally replied to my letters in December 2009 but has refused to reverse the charges.

The piling up of charges over the undue charges alone has lead to the current o/s of Rs. 14129.03, there is not a single paisa which I have actually spent and not paid to the bank. In view of the above trail of events I am not unjustified in asking for closure of this long trail and reversal of the entire amount of Rs. 14129.03.

I wish to lodge a complaint with Banking Ombudsman & the consumer court... could somebody please guide me to the detailed procedure of lodging complaints with the two.

HSBC Credit Card — undue Charges and false promises

I have been using a HSBC Card for last 6 years. The time it was issued I was told it is a life time free card and for the last 5 years no annual charges were levied on me.

This year since I have not used the card for the last 12-14 mths they levied me annual charges and not informed me either.

Now they are threatening that either I pay up this amount which has snowballed to 4.7 K or they will report me to CIBIL.

Can the bank authorities and the Forum members suggest me a course of action.
out of this 4.7 K I have not made any purchases its all annual charges and the interest there of.
I have not Used the HSBC credit card Since a year and the Card Was Brokened by me, But last 5 -6 am Receiving the Credit card Statement showing 2600/- as outstanding, It is clearly mentioned that Crad is blocked. and i've reced Statement and still the fianancial charges had been added up. pls take immediate action aganist STOP Statements. my creddit card no is . Dear Prajesh

Exactly same thing happened with me.
I am extremely cautious regarding financial institutions.

I filled the application form myself thats why I know that I have not opted for any AIG Policy.
I got a TATA AIG policy after free look period (15 days)
I Called AIG customer care immediately and asked for policy cancellation.
AIG person accepted to do so. (I noted down the Cancellation request no.)
Same day I called HSBC regarding the same.
I got the same answer..." You need to pay nothing. It will get reversed in next bill" (I noted down the reference no.)
But on safer side I paid "Minimum Amount Due" in order to avoid late payment charges.
In next bill also It did not happened . I called again customer care.

I got same answer once again.(I noted down the request no.)
Once again I paid "Minimum Amount Due" in order to avoid late payment charges.

      Same activity on third bill.

Finally in fourth bill I paid total amount due.

After clearence of checque, I Called HSBC customer care for cancellation of credit card.
      They asked me the reason.
I told them that HSBC has done fraud with me.
You have given me AIG policy without my sign or approval then you can charge any amount in future.

Then they asked me wether I have signed any add on page I told 'NO'

(HSBC has issued me AIG policy based on fake sign on add on page)

Dear, I was knowing that I am paying for nothing, But I was knowing about the complications.

      (Unfornatunately you faced it.)

I had maintained premium credit card No.[protected] in the name of Rajiv Bhatnagar and generate some 985 redeem points. perior to this I was a very good payment maker, but in the last billing I was adament to make the payment to the bank, where they have charged the late payment chages where I have no fault.
In April'09 there was a out standing of Rs.0.18 paisa for which no bill was sent to me even till date I never received the hard copy of the bill and I always make the payment on the basis of SMS only. So in april might be because of ignorance I had issued the cheque lesser by 0.18 paisa, which was again generated because of latepayment charges and service tax thereon. after that bank had charged the compound late payment charges and insited me to make the minimum charges of Rs.200/, but why ?
The bank had charged late payment charges 2 to 3 times but never send the hard copy of the bill on my mailing address : N-2,IInd floor, Kalkaji, New Delhi-110019.
Since the bank has stopped me to use that card without making the socalled payment and continueing harrassing me from their Mumbai talycaller for the outstanding payment. Now my request is to the concern authorities to please revive my card with levying any chages on that and reimburse the earlier paid late payment charges charged by them without providing the hard copy of the statement.
        Hoping for the justice.

I am a NRI who availed a home loan from HSBC and recently (on 23rd Septemebr 2009) whilst on vacation visited HSBC, Kochi to request early closure of my home loan with the bank by debiting my NRO a/c (into which I had already transferred monies to cover the outstanding). The request was graciously accepted and as a customer advised that it will be actioned within 10 days and should also be expecting a call from HSBC as standard procedure to action closure. Pending this I did receive a call around the 1st October 2009 (I continue to accrue interest still) suggesting a better interest rate if I continued the loan (an anti-attrition call, disguised as a good customer reflection) which I declined and then to my dis-belife I get a letter (by which time I'm back from vacation) advising that I now need to submit/mail them a cheque, wherein, I forecast and compute the accuring interest amount as well from 1st October 2009 till date of clearance.

On calling the help line desk at HSBC to find out what was the reason that my written request wasn't actioned and after going to a maze of questions to authenticate the customer, I was advised that the reason why the letter wasn't actioned was because the signature verification failed. How strange, they accept the request, they call you to dissuade you not to early close and then when they fail in retaining, they claim that they can't action the request because the signature did not match.

I respect regulations and accept need to authenticate but does banking have not longer any space for good customer behaviour and where does then 'KYC' and "CRM" and face to face interactions come into play. What confidence do I have that if I mailed/submitted a cheque as requested, they would action this:-
          1) citing signature mismatch again
          2) advising that my computed amounts varries from what they compute as on date of action (as I'm in no control of the date when they would receive a cheque I mail from my country of work or when they receive it in their mailroom et all)

          or some new creative reason.

Least expect this from HSBC and if this is what they service standards are for customers they classify and tag as PREMIER..

How do I get a fair treatment and feel confident about the banking regulations/environment in India and prevent from such abuse? What recourse to I have in stopping this abuse
HSBC bank is the worst bank. Last one month they have been rejecting my every cheque saying there is a signature mismatch and then want me to submit a plethora of documents to clear the cheque. Worst still they don't have the decency to talk proper.

HSBC Credit Card — Credit transfer

I have transfered my citicard credit card balance to hsbc credit card under balance transfer scheme. But prior to get the check or DD they have added the due in the hsbc account. I was surprised and really it was a big cheating. Whenever i send mail to hsbc regarding this, they simply says that do phone bank and get the advice.

I applied for an hsbc credit card last may 2009 and i was notified that it was already approved. in fact, i was able to receive a pin for cash advance. It was delivered at my preferred address in my hometown, 108 Dumayat Binalonan, Pangasinan. However, since my office address was transferred in MuÑoz Science city, Nueva Ecija, I called up HSBC for a change of address since most of the time, I am at my Office, Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop- MuÑoz 2 branch located at D. delos santos st. Poblacion, MuÑoz science city, Nueva Ecija. They told me to provide a cedula bearing my home address in Pangasinan. I was able to fax it last 1st week of September. Since then, I've been calling Hsbc customer care for the status of my credit card because until now I wasn't able to receive the credit card yet and I am soooooo..... disappointed with your service and I want to cancel my application RIGHT THIS MOMENT!!!!.

I wish to apprise you by wrong and unlawful activities carried by HSBC Cr card division .There numbers are as follows.([protected], [protected], [protected] )

I am holding an cr card no 43845xxxx0146111.Ever since i got to know that i will be shifting my base out of this country i requested HSBC cr cards division to give me workable figure which could be settled in some period of time (Settlement of amount) ever since then cr cards division started to harass me and my family .My Enthusiasm
To settle this due within the time frame of 10 months was highly misread as weakness as
Monthly payment mode yield very handsome interest.

They are adamant in there approach and are forcing me minimum amount only and keep pressuring the same fact that effective 01 Jan 09 they have stopped settling any amount which was not intimated to me by any means. They had gone to extend of forcing my money out of my savings account directly inspite of no written ack to do so and my repeated reminders to banking division to not entertain any such activity .This shows illegal &unlawful and greed exhibited by HSBC bank towards there customer .I just want to retreat my point that i wish to have a amount against my outstanding which could be settled over a period of time. I have current proofs to show how other banks and car loans companies have considered my request since i am flying out of this country.HSBC is no unique bank who can force there own unique banking policies to there customers .Calling families and harassing them is completely not acceptable . I get calls from [protected], [protected], and [protected] which keep on harassing me and my family inspite of the fact that minimum amount due stands outstanding only for current month.

I request you to please help me out in this case. I am a responsible customer of HSBC and want to settle this loan but harassment and pressure tactics is used in my case which is not appreciated .Please suggest me a way out from this .

Looking forward to hear from you on this.

HSBC Credit Card Division — CHARGING RS.701/- INTO MY CREDIT CARD

THEY ARE CHARGING RS.701/- MONTHLY SINCE JUNE 2007 AND DID NOT SENT ANY STATEMENT FOR THE CHARGED MONEY NOR ANY PAPERS IN WHICH CONNECTION THIS IS BEING CHARGED. I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL TIMES TO THEM BUT THEY ASKED ME EVERYTIME YOUR AMOUNT IS PENDING TO PAY. NOT RESOLVING MY COMPLAINTS AND INSISTING ME TO PAY YOUR AMOUNT OTHERWISE WE WILL CHARGE YOU LATE FEE. I HAVE TOLD THEM TO FIX MY AMOUNT AND I WILLPAY THE FULL AMOUNT. THEY REFUSED TO DO SO. ONLY THREATING ME FOR LATE FEE CHARGES.

HSBC Credit Card Division — Tarnishing Customer image and false promises by the bank

I was approached by your executive at the Westside store sometime in the month of July to offer me a free for lifetime gold credit card. He said it was a special offer for the Westside customers who buy beyond s certain limit.

He collected my Westside bill and a copy of front and back of my driving license attested by my signature with the bank application form and said that the bank would just make a verification call on my mobile post which a gold credit card will be sent to me.

The bank made some calls to me asking me for further documents to be submitted such as PAN card, Copy of any other card with another bank thereafter which I refused to give as it was against your offer and was a clear mis selling by your agent. I then asked your representative that I would not be interested in taking a HSBC card anymore and to cancel my application.

On the 11th of August I received a computer generated letter from your bank stating you would not be able to issue me a card as my credit profile is not in line with your lending profile.

I am a Platinum Plus card holder with HDFC Bank for over 2 years and was a gold card holder earlier with the bank for over 5 years with a current credit limit of 2 lakhs with an excellent track record with the bank. I also hold an ICICI gold credit card with a credit limit of Rs 50, 000 and do not have any issues with that card too. If so these banks would have cancelled my card long time

You have absolutely no right to insult me and tarnish my image stating that my credibility is not suitable for a bank especially after you have harassed me a number of times and I have declined your card.

I demand an explanation for this letter and a suitable compensation for the same.

HSBC Credit Card Division — Extra charge

I got a statement having around Rs. 515 outstanding on my credit card. I deposited Rs. 550. But again HSBC is charging about Rs.440 saying it was a late payment. Even if it is a late payment ( say 10 days), how can they charge them Rs. 440. HSBC said it is their rule, if i have Rs. 1 due they will charge me Rs 400.

HSBC Credit Card Division — Late Payment charges for no fault of mine.

                    Hi,

I had a HSBC credit card bill for the month of July for which the due date was 4th Aug. I dropped in the cheque on 3rd Aug and since there was a Bankers strike it got cleared only on 8th Aug. For this, under various different sections, the Bank charged me an amount of 2000 Rs. for delay in payment in their next bill. I called their executives and requested them to consider the Bank strike and waive of the charges, however they were adamant and offeref to reduce 500 Rs of that. Since it did not justify me paying this charge for no reasons, I paid for the purchases and did not pay the penalties & also requested to discontinue my card. However Bank now says that they will not discontinue until I pay my complete penalty charges.

Need help to sort this out.

I recently applied for a personal loan from State bank of indore, Gumasta Nagar Branch and the bank rejected my application. For this case I have spoken to SBI & asked the reason, they replied as “you must be knowing it. We can’t tell you any thing you know it better.” After my repeated request to them for Giving me the proper reason for rejection they replied saying that ‘’we are not in a position to give you the same.
After repeated request the reason given to me was that the CIBIL report indicated that there was an outstanding amount of Rs.17102 approx on a credit card (Oct 2004 - Feb 2007) which was written off in July 2009.

                      1. The report furnished by CIBIL does not have details of the credit card nor the bank issuing the credit card.

                      2. I never used a credit card in that period. In fact, state Bank of India has issued me Golden Credit Card after that period and my repayment history is immaculate.

Trust me I am going through a mental trauma as I have landed up in position where I have no clue about me being a defaulter in any of the banks.

If CIBIL is not willing to give me further clarifications on this outstanding amount, I am ready to drag them to court.

For your kind information please find below my personal details, if required

                        Dear Sir,

I have used HSBC credit card 8 years back and made the full payment by cash of the utilised amount of Rs.15000/- in the HSBC bank in the year 2004. I have received unanimous call on Wednesday from TCS saying that they got by data from CIBIL and have an outstanding in my credit card. The very next day got a call from JM financial saying that they acquired HSBC credit card division and informed me that i have an outstanding in my credit card. have asked them to send me a mail. They have send me a mail this evening saying that the principal outstanding is 15177/- and the overall outstanding is 466000/-. I was really shocked and surprised seeing their mail. My query is

                        1. As i have paid the overall outstanding how did they not removed my records from CIBIL
                        2. Even if they claim i have not paid, why did'nt they approached me earlier and approaching now leaving 8 years.
                        3. If my credit scoring is poor, how come other institutions offered me loans in 2006, 2010 and 2012.
                        3. How do i resolve this issue.

Kindly help me resolving this issue.

                        Regards

                              Dear Sir / Madam,
Subject: Complaint against credit card statement & Payment.
I was holding HSBC credit card with No: [protected], which I discontinued in Sep08, due to poor service and extra charges from your bank against my issued credit card, for the same I reported to your customer service cell as well, but no satisfactory service and reply was received . I need my complete reimbursement with in trust charges which are being charge by bank from customer I payment is not made on time. My details of poor service of your bank are as follows.
                              • From 13th April to 12th May08 statement was showing Rs/- 8945.14p due on 3rd June08, for which I dropped my HDFC bank cheque in CP HSBC ATM drop box on 1st June08, but on 10th June 2008, I received a call from your recovery call center, that payment not received by bank. I provided all details to caller lady with cheque no, amount, location and date, But she suggested to pay Rs/- 500.00 in cash to avoid late payment charges against my payment, same was done by me, through cash to recovery agent against cash memo slip on same date.
                              • Next month I received my next statement, and I was shocked to see that, statement was showing Rs/-8945.14p as opening balance, Rs/- 500.00 as received payment, some fuel refund, other purchases of Rs/- 7500.00 and late payment fee with finance charges along with service tax, but no were My cheque credit was mentioned which I had issued to HSBC credit card with Rs/ 8945.14p on 1st June 2008????? Immediately I called up to your customer care call center, there I spoke with Mr. Suraj and informed him all my details, he assured me and confirmed that all extra charges will be reversal, after his assurance and confirmation, I paid only Rs/-7500.00 as it was spend by me against my credit card and was actual amount.
                              • After that, next month (with due date 4th Aug) I received another statement in which, my Rs/-8945.14p cheque was showing credited on 21st June????? For late cheque depositing in branch, why should I pay extra charges to your bank???? Due to same, I call up to your customer care cell, on 19th Aug and spoke to Ms Sanya, when I complained for all above said, First she disconnected the phone, then I called up again Spock to Mr. Sohil, he was not able to convened me against my queries, then I asked him to call his manager on line, then my call was kept on hold for 25 minutes but manager did not attended my call.
                              • Then again on 22nd Dec I called up to your customer care center, and told Mr. Shyam (the name was told me) to call his manager on line as I want to clear my pending queries as I was receiving calls from your recovery center, then again I was kept on hold for 20 minutes but again manager did not attended my phone call????????
                              • I was surprised to see statement, which I received after few months in June09 month end, with Rs/- 4832.18, as out standing against my credit card???? Dear Sir,

I have below complaint with HSBC bank, G.K. I Branch New Delhi.
                                    1. I maintain a salary account with Zero balance facility with above bank branch from November 2008. The account was open by them by reference from my employer .
                                    2. Till 7th September 2009 they treated above account as salary account with Zero balance facility but on 8th September they debited my account for INR 1103/- as a levy for non-maintained of Average quarterly balance of INR 100000/- per quarter.
                                    3. Due to above effect since balance in my account went below the amount for which one of my cheque was issued- it bounced & they further debited & charged me INR 303.30
                                    4. When I contacted their call centre & Nodal office in Chennai – first they asked to liaise with my HR dept. –which I did but according to him –till date he has not received any communication from HSBC about the removal of our company from the waiver list.
                                    5. I presume that it is duty of HSBC bank to inform us about if there is any change in status of the account. Since November 2008 till August 2009 - every month my account has been credited with salary. So, it was treated as Salary account by HSBC as they did not levy any charges for non-maintained of Average quarterly balance of INR 100000/- per quarter.
                                    6. A letter was sent by HSBC to me on 2nd of September about the charge without mention of change of status of account, however they have charged me for quarter – April- May –June 2009—it is total breach of contract as a customer. I should have been informed on onset of the quarter from which above change was done and not at the end of it as it .

This is arbitral and total mistake of HSBC part & hence, request you to take this issue with HSBC bank and credit INR 1103/-(for charges of non-maintenance of quarterly balance) + INR 303.30 (Cheque returned due to charged above & balance gone below the cheque amount)= Total INR 1406.30

Also, penalty of INR 5000/- must be imposed as non-adherence to banking norms so that it can be a lesson for them in future.

                                    Thanking you

This is regarding my credit card (VISA) that I have been using for 10years. I had made a online payment to them using my husband's HSBC bank account. However past 4 days their call centre has been giving me missed calls continuously and harrasing me during working hours also. Further their helpline customer service were also of no use. 2 people Jisha & Pradeep John - didnt help, where rude. I had requested for the customer service heads email id and phone number - however they gave me the email id of nodalofficer and not the person's individual id. Am not sure how to deal with this situation. Do suggest

                                        Dear Sir/Madame

I was holding a HSBC credit card about 4-5 years back. They recorded a transaction of about Rs.1,500/- which was errornous and reported by me for the same.

After that since i did not receive any response from their end, I cut the card into 4 pieces and sent it back to HSBC stating that i did not want to continue with their card.

Since then i am receiving monthly statements showing unpaid amount. They keep adding interest and penalty charges every month. This phenomenon is happening every month since last 3-4 years accuring a total unpaid amount of about Rs.16K. THERE IS NO ACTUAL TRANSACTION SINCE LAST 3-4 YEARS (EXCEPT THAT ONE ERRORNOUS TRANSACTION)

Recovery agent Mr. Bhagwan Swarup is called from [protected] at odd hours and harassing me using very very foul language. I have even taken recording of this call.

He has even called my home and used abusive language with with 8 year old daughter. Infact she was so disturbed that it took us about a week to settle her down.

Please guide me as to how we can complaint against this person.

I am going to ask The RBI to investigate the Bank with reference to the complaints that is being lodged.
