Subject: Poor customer service in processing my personal loan application - # 60677473

This is to highlight the un-satisfactory service provided by ICICI DSA and back end team processing my loan application in BANGALORE
On 17th December 2008 I have filed for a personal loan with DST-2 IN Bangalore, Application form number 0301543, Collection agent name Shivaraj - Mobile Number [protected]. Following document was submitted for the same.
1. Telephone / Mobile phone bill – Current address proof
2. PAN Card photocopy
3. Company ID card photocopy
4. Three security checks favoring ICICI Personal Loan account
5. One color photograph
6. Loan application form – number 0301543
7. Details of my salary account with ICICI -
Following which a house visit was done for address verification on 19th December at my current residence in Bangalore by the DST and they also collected a second Phone bill as proof of having visited my residence. This was followed by three calls – One to my residential Landline in Bangalore, one on my mobile phone and one via the company board line. Call was made to the personal references on record for character verification as well on 22nd December. While taking the application form the sales representative asked me for my permanent address, to which I furnish the address printed on my cheque book which refers to my residential address in THANE, Maharastra, where my account is based. However I told the sales representative that I am living in Bangalore since 18 months and that I have no utility bill addressed to my Thane address the less than 18 month old. I also informed him that I am living in Bangalore since 18 months and the house in Thane is locked and there is no one resident at that location. I requested the DSA to give an alternative or consider my current address as permanent address as it was also the address on record for banking correspondence. There after I receive two SMS from ICICI bank, one on 22nd December 2008 and the second on 2nd January 2009 stating that my loan was approved stating loan application number 60677473. On 1st January I was called upon by a Male CSR offering me a life insurance to cover my loan amount for 18 months and told me that the loan was approved and will be disbursed by 2nd January. I confirmed to him that I would take the insurance cover costing me a premium of Rs 541/- and was informed that this amount would be deducted from the loan amount before disbursal. Thereafter on 2nd December a CSR by Name Indira has called me to inform that the loan is approved and that I can take un-employment and accident coverage on my loan amount for which the premium was higher. I explained that I had already been offered life insurance cover by someone the previous day and that I was not interested in taking additional cover. I was told by Indira that there is no offer to take only life cover and that I have to take un-employment and disability cover as well. To this I mentioned that I was not interested in taking any insurance product in that case and requested her to process the loan without the insurance cover. I was assured that by End of day 3rd January the loan amount after statutory deductions will be disbursed. On 4th January when I have called the phone banking department to track the loan status I am told that it has been cancelled on 3rd January, reason being permanent address not furnished. This incident has shocked me and I am very dis-satisfied with the result. First of all I have received two SMS’s from ICICI claiming my loan has been approved and further two agents call to sell me insurance products related to the loan and took confirmation from me. There after the application is cancelled without informing me of the so called discrepancy in the application. I would like to know, on what basis is ICICI communicating to me that the loan is approved when some discrepancies exists in the application (Discrepancies according to ICICI)? Secondly, if there are discrepancies, why was this not communicated to me to guide me how it could be solved ? The reason stated for rejection that - permanent address was not furnished is inappropriate. When I presented the address on record and on my check book to the sales agent, he refused to take it saying that he needed an address where someone resides as a visit would be made. I fail to understand, how I can be present in two cities for the verification process. My address in Thane, Maharastra is where my account is based and since I am living in Bangalore for the last 18 months, that house is locked up and no family member resides in that house. In which case I asked the sales representative to consider my current address as the permanent address since all banking correspondence was also being redirected to my Bangalore address since 6 months. However this was not followed up by your agents and the application has been rejected for lack of permanent address. I am un- happy with the result of this exercise, not once was I contacted to be informed of this requirement and falsely assured of the approval by three different people when the banking procedure was not completed in the back end. Based on the information from ICICI representatives who called me to confirm the loan was approved, I have made my own personal commitments which are now un-fulfilled. Kindly record this matter as an escalation from my side on this matter. Being an existing ICICI customer I fail to understand why ICICI could not accept the address on record as my permanent address. Or at least consider my current mailing address as the permanent address to delegate the matter. Also I feel that ICICI is not transparent with their marketing schemes and has misled me as a customer on the pre-approved loan strategy, I fail to understand how a representative of ICICI can communicate to me the loan is approved and inform me that it will be disbursed and then the application can get cancelled without my notice. I am being told that if I want a lon, i must repeat the entire process again. THIS BANK IS UN-PROFESSIONAL AND A GIVES CUSTOMER'S FALSE ASSURANCES.

ICICI Personal Loan — Cheating on Rate of Interest and 1 month delay on disbursing Loan amount

Its the Worst thing i have ever seen !

ICICI people are cheats..... some one called Mansha - promised me 14% interest rate. and called 10 times a day for 10 days for information and said not possible to give loan, then i mailed to icici officials and again some other agency people called me and asked for some extra documents, after that can you imagine, every day when i called them ( Ruchi / Nilesh )they used to say, you have not got your loan amount credited yet to your account, give me half an hour i will check it out - this drama went on for 10 or more days. then they credited the amount, after 1 month of struggle, the agency person SMSed me some xxxx amount as EMI / at the same time i got a letter from the bank for some other xxxx amount as an EMI. both showing diff amounts. Hell with ICICI bank Personal Loan.

i strongly recomment DONT go for it, its disgusting.
ICICI is a bunch of frauds serving you in the most pathetic way possible on this planet. I am frustrated with their service to the extent of setting their offices on fire, so that they can at least wake up and pay attention.
Icici bank is no 1 in banking and even in cheating. please beaware of them all of you. then have cheted me in settlement of my accout closure. The higher officials have to involve in these settlements.

ICICI Personal Loan — False and no transparency in information provided

I took a personal loan from ICICI, where i was told that my EMI would be 6121 every month, later i got to know that there is a service tax added to each EMI every month which makes the total amount to 6400, which means i pay almost 300 Rs extra for which no info is provided to me by the agent who gave me this loan.

also i was told that while foreclosing i will only have to pay 3% foreclosure charges, later they added again a service tax + one month extra interest. They in any case took the processing fee and service tax when the loan started. On asking, they are giving me some clarifications which a lay man can never understand. If you talk to their helpline, the executives will disconnect the call if they cant clarify your doubts. I am in any case launching a complaint in the consumer court against ICICI, but telling all who read this topic, that NEVER EVER DO ANY TRANSACTION WITH ICICI IN YOUR LIFE. JUST GO FOR ANY OTHER BANK BUT NOT ICICI.

ICICI Bank — Personal loan and Insurance without asking customer

Icici bank sells the customer credit card information to sister concerns like icici lombards. Icici sent me two personal loan without asking me. Charged the processing fees and service charge on my crdit card. issued lombard policy for these two loans and charged amount on my card. All these they did without asking me. Mobile number they mentioned for taking consents doesn't belong to me. To meet their loan target, icici agents are sending loan cheques/DD to customet witout asking them and charging hefty interest rates and processing fees on their credit card. When I called them to cancel these loans, they were passing to responsibility to different departments. When i called credit card departments, they asked me to call personal department and lombard. when I called lombard, they asked me to call crdit card department.

Transparent Loan — CONFIRMATION

Do you have any dealing with Transparent Loan or Long Term Loan on transfer amount to overseas? Please confirm and reply back my email urgently.

ICICI BANK / ICICI PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE — CREDIT ASSURANCE

ICICI Bank insisted on insuring my car loan of Rs. 8 lacs against the risk of repayment owing to my being above 58 yrs and self employed with no assurance of regular income and stated that the one time premium for covering the risk of inability to repay or death of Rs. 8 lacs is Rs. 8,117/- which the bank got collected by the car dealer. Later this bank in connivance with the car dealer and its group company ICICI PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE which does not have such a product to offer whereas ICICI LOMBARD INSURANCE has such a product, mocked the process of issuing the insurance certificate while fabricating, wrongly using the KYC of co-applicant to the loan, attempting to insure a wrong person for the said policy, employed forgery of signature, and is manipulating further to tamper / destroy evidence. Normally such a policy is issued within ten days but these companies did not care to issue correct policy even for FIVE MONTHS despite my regular follow up with them. And in an arbitrary manner finally communicated cancellation of the proposal. In this manner this bank, its group insurance company and the car dealer conspired, criminally breached the trust, criminally breached the contract and are harassing month after month. The legal department of the bank when I met agreed orally that the entire matter is going against the bank but the bank has dodged rectifying the errors and has opted for illegal methods and acts to evade the insurance benefit and harass me. Let every one know that credit assurance is a group policy generally employed by the bank which feels its advanced amount could be at risk of repayment and the premium is normally paid by the bank and is not collected from the yed five customer. In this case the premium was collected from me and at the same time employed five months to fabricate, forge, manipulate data to incorporate false data to avoid passing on the benefit of insurance to the customer.. This bank and its group companies are employing unfair and restrictive trade practices apart from other criminal offences which general public is required to be protected from.

Personal Loan — Very Poor service to process Personal Loan

My Savings Account no. is [protected]. I had applied for a personal loan one month back, but sorry to say, no development till date. Hence, not only myself, but also the entire team of my company are going to close their salary account in your bank due to the poor service.

    I have taken one personal loan from ICICI bank, Nagpur branch in November, 2007 for an amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/-. But at the time of disbursement of loan they were issued cheque for rs.94, 303/- and they deducted Rs.3450/- as insurance charges and Rs.2247 as service charges without my knowledge. In this regard I have written letters to icici bank civil lines and mumbai office regarding refund of amount deducted from my personal loan. At the time of taking loan itself I informed their consultants M/s.Renuka Financial services that I do not require insurance cover and do not deduct amount from my loan and they also agreed. Hence i request you to look into the matter and arrange to release the amount deducted from my loan. At the time of taking loan they never told me about the service charges etc.

      Respected Sir,
      This is for your kind information, that I released a commercial vehicle (Tata Ace) registration no is WB 03B 8042, which has been finance from ICICI Bank Brank Kolkata 2, Upper wood street in the year 2006, So from the time my bank track record was good but certainly on october 24, 2007 my vehicle commiitted accident on the highway in Gurap(Bardhaman)and it was such a severe accident that my Khalasi(helper) lost his live. I have all the relevant documents of the accident, from the time I took a loan from relatives & my freinds to bring out my vehicles because I am a student I cant afford such huge amount my family support me a lot. That was the only way of my source of income. I paid nearly about 75000 Rupees to release my vehicle including (police Station and Workshop) and discussed with the bank official by paying Rs15000 that i am ready to released my vehicle on the road and the overdue amount I will pay ech and every month from this date they agreed. Then after without any intimation they repo my vehicle from Dankuni, I request them many tine to release my vehicle but they are not shown any interested to release it.
      So my earnest request please take necessary action that I get back my vehicle.

        I am an NRI who cannot goto India for 2 more years.
        I have a Personal Loan with icici bank which I want to close now (I had been paying emi for 2 long years).
        I also have a personal account with Internet access and my loan is linked to my net account.
        Could somebody give me informations about how to close my personal loan without going to India through internet?

        Pls help

              dear sir,
              i wanted you to stop direct payment to vadafone mumbai of the number [protected] for wich i have given the auterisation while taking the conection since i have left mumbai on rd nav-2008 and the same has been informed to vodafone that please dissconect this number but thay r still diducting the rantal of the above mantion number which has been dissconcted by vodafone long back.

              please abolish the facility of ditect ctardit of vadafone with immedite effect.

              Dear Sir,
              i want to bring to your knowledge that since 1-2 years past i attended a call from icici customer care regarding direct bill pay facility. as per executive the same facility was for life time free so i accept his proposal. but now they charged me rs.112.36 on the name of yealy charge. is the life time duration has been only 1 or 2 years in icici law. i called to icici customer care, executive said that for that facility has been chargable and we informed by statement. my question is why not send me a sms regarding this however they send me sms regarding my bills and other things and plans.

              finally executive suggest me that you need to close cradit card to avoid this charges.

              currently 2 nos bill pay facility is still runnig as below
              1 Vodafone
              2 Birla sun life...

                  I took this home loan of around 2500000 @8.75% (25 Lacs) in Jan 2007. At that time I chose ICICI because of the long standing relationship and the technology savvy features offered by the bank. Then I witnessed the fastest and steepest process of increasing the rates for me:

                  Feb 2007 - 50 basis point
                  Apr 2007 - 100 basis point
                  May 2007 - 100 basis point
                  July 2008 - 75 basis point
                  Aug 2008 - 75 basis point

                  Now my lending rate is 12.75% even after RBI cuts the CRR by 350 basis points and Repo rate by 250 basis points (As on Dec 22) and my loan tenure is also increased. Now I am getting the feeling that the bank is misguiding not only the people of India but also the Media, RBI and Govt, you speak that you'll reduce the rates but never delivered so far. Almost all the other banks have lowered their lending rates. Even Ms Chanda Kochar said in one interview that cost of funds are same for all the players in the industry.. then why your bank is not reducing the rates and always keep the floating rates as "Forwarding rates" which moves only in Northward direction ? Now I have completely lost faith in ICICI bank and your products

                  With this really bad experience that I am facing from one of the largest home loan issuer bank ICICI, I went to your home finance office to initiate the loan transfer process to some other reliable bank but the kind of answer the home finance staff provided me for seeking a clarification on the legal documents certificate was shocking and it appears the bank does not co-operate for the legal verification of the original documents by the lawyer or issue a genuine letter stating that the bank is holding the originals of so and so documents and will return those documents on (fore)closure of loan. Also when I asked about the appealing authority to raise this concern, the home finance staff mentioned that she doesn't have an answer and the issue can be escalated to senior management prompting me to write this letter

                  I agree with you.Even I started process for switching loan.BOB is good option.They are giving fixed rate loan for 9.75%
                  i am completely agree with u. I have ICICI bank home loan car loan bike loan. i facing very much problem of higher interest rate, no co-operation, higher charges which is never seen anywhere. i think SBI is good for that.
                  I completely agree with you all. ICICI bank is one of the worst banks when it comes to borrowing loans. Their strategy is to give loan easily to customers as opposed to other nationalised banks which aks for lot of documents and take bit longer time. But the major major disadvantage of ICICI bank is once you have fallen trap to their strategy and borrowed a loan then they keep on increasing the rate of interest. Highest rate of interest on home loans charged by any bank in India. My only advice to new entrants is that avoid ICICI bank as they lure customers into easy and immediate loans.

ICICI Bank is the only bank who has raised the interest rate so many times without giving any concessions or even thinking about the people. This bank just doesn't reduce rates.                   ICICI Bank Home Loan — No co-operation from the bank.

                  I had taken a home loan from the bank, Bangalore branch, nearly three years back. The loan was a joint loan; me being the applicant, and my wife being the co-applicant. The loan was taken at an interest of around 7.5%.

                  Unfortunately, due to personal differences between my wife, and me, my wife decided to no longer support me on the loan. The interest had gone up to 14.5%, and I could not afford to pay this much on my own.

                  My wife will not allow me to sell the flat. She will not take over the flat. And I cannot afford to take over the flat on my own. In such a situation, I was forced to stop my EMI payment.

                  I have been running behind the bank ever since, to find an amicable solution to this problem. The bank is so indifferent. All that they care about is forcing me to somehow make the payments. They are trying to use all means to get me to do this. I even informed the bank that I am willing to surrender the flat to the bank. I visited the bank to sign the required documents, but every time I go, they come up with one or more excuse to try and make me avoid this. The bank is at loss if I surrender the flat. They would like to ensure that I either remain with the loan, so that they profit from the interest amount, or delay this as long as possible so that they can benefit the maximum on the interest on the delayed amount.

                  Am not sure of what course of Action I can take. Any help or suggestion is most welcome.

                  Absolutely agree with the comments on housing loan problem, created by this Bank. RBI should issue some guidelines for each of the banks to follow those rules strictly.                   I also completely agree that this bank is playing around with the customers mind, fooling ppl and government. I totally lost my faith on this bank.                   I have home loan since jan 2007 that time i was told ROI will be flexible i.e. ROI will be fixed for first 5 yrs and then it will change as per market conditions that too can be changed after 5 yrs as per requirement. But All this was absolutely FAKE...i was told ROI will be 8.25% but sanction letter given of 9.75%. Loan Tenure was for 15 years but now it is 39 years at 12.75% p.a. This loan process started in July 2006 and i have recd disbursement in jan 2007. That time i have provided all my original documenst of property and now bank is saying they have only Agreement copy and nothing else.

                  When i tried to switchover to nationalised bank no coperation recd from this bank. Nationalised bank is asking for all documents and this bank is saying they dont have such...
                  This bank loan for housing sector shoud be baned by RBI to save hard ern money, because if same gay take loan from other bank like sbi he will pay 4 to 5 year less emi than this bank
                  I don't see any reason not to ban ICICI bank. They are openly cheating the public. Surprisingly no one from Govt or RBI coming forward to address the grievances of ICICI bank customers.

                  ICICI don't have any ethical sense even. They play all cheap tricks when you approach them for loan transfer to other psu banks. They even manipulate the documents which other banks need from ICICI, giving wrong impression on the customer.

                  Yes Iafree. When I got my loan from ICICI in2005 it was 7.5% in flexible. Now it has risen to 13.5% and they have raised the tenure with little reduction in EMI.

                  We must do something for this torture.
                  This is Deepak from Chennai. Whatever you told is absolutely true. I also took loan in ICICI in 2006 @ 7% pa but now repaying at 12.5%. When the bank increased the rates when other banks did, it is liable to decrase the same as well when other peers do.
                  Also RBI has no control with any of the banks. The concept of "floating" means fluctuations as per market conditions. Now the banks are reducing the interest rate for new loans but nobody is caring for existing loans. The concept of "floating" doesn't make any sense at all.
                  Now that you are an existing ICICI home loan customer, you can avail a new interest rate of 9.75%. The details of the same are given in the link below

                  The customer service is pathetic. Now you won't get answers to your questions rightaway. You will have to wait for their callback. It may take minimum 1 business day. This is really pathetic service. I dont want to bank with ICICI anymore. Also, the attitude of Sales rep ANJALEE at the counter in MG Road is really rude towards the customers. Her responses are really discouraging for any customers to bank with ICICI. Hope the officials will find this out and take necessary action though i don't expect this from a bank like ICICI.

                  I absolutely agree with all you statments . ICICI bank is a cheating bank. Besides the rate of interest they are also cheating with the new standard CTC cheques. It was committed that after providing the new standard cheques the old PDC cheques will be returned, however i received a letter from ICICI that the old PDC cheques will not be returned as they have the rights to shred.

                  The bank is even charging more than the rate of interest for mine was a flip case and was assured by them that at the time of retirement of my father the charges will go down upto 50%. But not yet so far.

                  It is better to make aware of all the consumers not to avail ICICI home loan.

                        I ravi shanker. I had taken loan from Icici bank, after few months due to some misshappeing i could not able to deposit my premiums .                               this is to bring to your kind notice that we have deposited one cheque no. 0293648 dtd. 13.11.07 for Rs. 2019.25 of HDFC bank and same has also been debited to my account on 13.11.07. but still we are getting bills showing oustanding in my name. In Current bill, it is showing a outstanding in my account whereas I have already deposited the money. I have checked with the bankers, they have replied that cheque by mistake has been credited to some other account due to clerical mistake by bank. but inspite of our repeated reminders, that amount is not transferred to our account.

                              today I have received legal notice from bank stating that I have not made payment whereas this all outstanding is due to mistake from bank side.

                              you are requested to please check the whereabout of the cheque from your end and transfer that amount to our account and give us a correct statement so that balance amount can be deposited.

                              I dropped 3 cheques in my firm's account between 22nd & 30th of April at a DROP BOX at ATM Center MEANT FOR CLEARANCE. till date they have not been debited to the account.                                 This is to inform you that i have never utilise the credit card (having no [protected]) during last 2years then also ICICI Bank have raised demand notice of rs. 18252. I was making payment of Rs.500 every month regularly for previous 2yrs in your account only toward encash loan taken of rs. 10k which i have to repay in 24emi of 500 each . Only for loan purpose the account was open. I have not done any sigle transaction. Then also you have raised demend notice of Rs. 18252.
                                Kindly request to please help what will be solution for same ICICI Bank is harrassing and demanding the above amount. They are trying to exploit me totally. Agst 10k of loan they already taken 12k and demanding additon 18k.

                                ICICI / Credit card — PAYMENT BEING DEMANDED WHEN THE CHARGES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

                                Dear Sir,

                                Some two years back I was thrust a credit card by ICICI and as I did not want it the same was torn to pieces and returned to ICICI. Aroud the same time a ICICI LOMBARD Insurance policies were issued to me unsolicited and my credit card was charged with the charges for the same.
                                As the insurance policies were unsolicited, I corresponded with ICICI by e-mail and after protracted correspondence I succeeded in getting a communication from ICICI regarding cancellation of the LOMBARD policies.
                                Even after cencellation of the policies, I continued to get credit card statements monthly which claimed that I had an outstanding due to be settled. I then corresponded with ICICI regarding the outstanding dues and I recd. a letter from ICICI dtd. 10th June 2008 that the charges indicated in the card statement were that of the lombard policies and since they are cancelled the charges will be reversed.
                                Even after the letter from ICICI of 10th June 2008, I have been continuing to get the card statement with outstanding dues shown.
                                On 9th Jan 2009, I preffered an e-mail compliant through the customer care available at the website of ICICI and posted a copy of the complaint to the CMD of ICICI.
                                There was no response for the above complaint.
                                In the last week of March 2009 I recd. a legal notice, dtd. 23rd March 2008, asking me to present myself at the TIRUCHY office of ICICI on 26th March 2009 for settlement.
                                I presented myself at the said office on 26th March 2009 and met one of the officials of ICICI, Mr. Saravanan. After listening to my explanation and verifying my card statement as of 26th March 2009, the bank official confirmed that the charges on my card were that of the cancelled lombard policies. The official further said that if I pay Rs. 2000 / - the whole issue will be settled. Two days after the same official rang-up to say that I will have to pay Rs. 3000/- to have the card issue settled. I asked the official to issue a letter from the bank with a break-up for the demanded Rs. 3000/-. This the bank official refused.

                                I donot understand the requirement of having to pay Rs. 3000/- when I have not used the card and the said unsolicited policies have been cancelled.

                                I have once again written to the CMD of ICICI, yesterday (2nd April 2009) requesting for settlement of the issue.

                                I am attaching the policies cancellation notification, the communication dtd. 10th June 2008 from ICICI, the leagl notice dtd. 23rd March 2009 and my latest letter dtd. 2nd April 2009 to the CMD ICICI.

                                Can this forum "CONSUMERS COMPLAINTS . IN" help me settel this issue with ICICI.

                                ICICI Bank Credit Card — ICICI Bank is demanding

                                Hello,
                                I used ICICI bank credit card ([protected]) for last 2 years and everytime I dropped my local cheq before the due date. Most of the time I noticed that they took much time to process the cheq and then applied late charges on my card. Even though with the high interest charges ( they added the interst rate higher than what they promised earlier 2.5% at the time of offering the card) they added some overlimit fees in some of my satements and with that around 5000/ more payment they demanded from me unnecessarily.

                                I cleared all my dues with interest charges and I raised this issue several times with them but they simply ignored this and still demanding the amound included day by day some other charges.

                                Please let me know what should I do. I have cleared all my dues approx 75000/ with interest charges.

                                Request all other not to use ICICI bank credit card or surrender it immediately.

                                This is to inform you that I was the Credit Card Holder of ICICI Bank. They never sent any statement till now. Suddenly one recovery agent Ms. Ruchi somebody asking for payment 40, 000/-. Continuously she was threatening and torturing me and my wife daughter over mobile and office landline also. She is also using tremendous abusive and slang language. I have no dues above this card. In spite of several request, she is denying to provide the statement through mail. I doubt that they must have inflated due amount by levying unduly high interest, late fees, unnecessary service charges etc. Not only that she has threatened me and my office Boss also. She is doing tremendous misbehaving with my office Boss and Administrative manager.What is this???. Bank cannot do legally this type of mental harassment. She is disturbing my Employer also, which is affecting my mental peace. As a middle class family, at present my job is effecting due to their using the abusive language with my boss also. As per the Credit card rules of the Bank, I am asking for statement. But she is denying giving me the statement. Continuously she is telling me to make the payment at a time; otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team.
                                Not only that, she has also threaten me, if I don’t make the payment immediately, then they/ICICI Bank/ will kidnap my daughter. Please help me and my family from Goonda of ICICI bank. I think only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, they have made this type of incident. For your information, I have been receiving these threatening calls coming from[protected],[protected],[protected]. These threatening calls comming in my Wife's number 90 times, in my number's 100 times and in my office Boss's number 50 times in 01 (one) day.Please relie[censored]s from the torturing from ICICI. Please stop this call from this number otherwise I will take legal action for human rights against the mental torture with my daughter and wife also.

                                Due to this Ruthless incident Now I am in big trouble for my job and my family security also.

                                      I received an sms on my mobile mentioning that my cerdit card has been charged with Rs 10900, a transaction which I have not done, promptly I called the customer care number . The only department I was able to get through to was the "loss of card". They did block my card and transferred my call to the Disputes Department. The disputes deptt asked me write a letter stating the request no, which they gave me) and fax the letter to their mumbai office within 48hrs. He also mentioned that if I didnt fax the letter within this time, my complaint was as good as not registered.
                                      The next day I promptly sent the fax. And since the nightmare has begun. I am trying to find out if their office has received this fax but am still unable to get through to them . The phone banking says, my card is not valid (since it has been blocked) and keeps putting me through the voice recording messages for my date of birth, pin no, mobile no., home phone no, work phone no...inspite of giving the phone numbers and my date of birth, the call doesn't get transferred to a human voice; it says you have exceeded the no. of tries and disconnects. The only deptt I am able to get through is the "Loss of Card" and they refuse to transfer the call and are unable to give me any information besides telling me the card is blocked. Any attempts at getting at information from them leads to them hanging up without answering any queries.
                                      What is one supposed to do in this scenario. Whom can we talk to???

                                        Dear Sir / Madam,

                                        I have a credit card numbered 4477xxxxxxxx5009 with ICICI and have been clearing my payments on time.

                                        On july 21st 08 i have been billed by ICICI on behalf of Yahoo.com, this transaction has not been authorised by me. ICICI has expressed its inability to elicite an response from Yahoo.com and has taken cover behind a point stating that the complain was registered after 90 days.

                                        To be noted:
                                        The monthly statements from ICICI has not been delivered on a regular monthly basis.

                                        My intimation on this disputed transaction was on October 14th and not October 30th 08 as claimed and this is well within the 90 days specification.

                                        This case clearly illustrates the apathy of ICICI in helping an individual and fining him for unjustified reasons.In absence of ICICI's support in taking up the issue with the concerned vendor(Yahoo.com) i require assistance to approach the consumer court.
