Dear Sir,

I received a phone call from icici lombard stating that there is a medical policy for self and the premium for two years will be 6616/-

and this will be paid by your icici credit card as the have tie up with Lombard

The monthly EMI was 311 /-

I asked them on phone whether there will be any interest charged for the Amount,

They denied the fact that no interest will be charged.

Now i received an sms from ICICI Bank that the interest will be charged on your total premium of Rs 6616 /-

I called lomabrd to cancel the policy as they had told wrong information

Now they are telling that i[censored] cancel the policy u wull be charged cancellation charges of Rs 952 /- as it is just one day before the policy been made

I have email it to the customer service of Lombard and i have copied it and send it below

But till now i had not got there reply


So iam writing it to u

Please do the needful

Ur Customer service people called me and told me about the policy and the details,

But they did not tell me that the interest will be charged for it,

When i asked repeatedly about the interest part on my Premium they denied that there will be no interest charged on my policy,


Now when i want to cancel my policy due to above reasons they are telling that u should pay cancelltion charges,

Is the company fooling the people in this way,

This seems to be a very common fraud that ICICI Lombard is resorting to. One just receives a call and is bombarded with a lot o[censored]nnecessary information. The next thing you realize is that your credit card is being charged. There is no written consent for this deduction and I am sure the credit card division is part of the fraud. If they cannot make money in an honest fashion, they cannot start cheating people and more so their existing customers! This is not but cheating...!

    Regarding policy which i didnt wanted

    I didnt wanted Health insurance policy then also they are deducting money from my account as EMI.
    They just told about policy on telephone convincing and i agreed to send documents only.
    I told i will confirm only after satisfying.
    After reading i decided not to take and didnt gave any response.
    I tried to contact them but they didnt response.
    Lastly i went to their Andheri(E), Mumbai Branch.But they kept...

    Dear sir/mam

    I am have purchase Health policy from ICICI Lombard at 08/06/2009 with the policy no
    4034i/FFH/W-910579/00/000 & Name Ravi Shishodia, Mrs Nidhi Shishodia Sum Insured 3Lac
    & Premium Paid Rs 4570 INR. As per icici Bank Executive said me that if I make payment through My ICICI credit card they will make interest free 12 Equal EMI & every month charge 380.83 Rupees for next 12 Month.

    Now I’m Surprise to see my credit card statement whole premium amount I have to pay in my next statement. I made call to icici Lombard customer care dated 23/06/2009 regarding this their executive “Madhu” give complaint no[protected] and emi will be converted within five working days, to check status of my complaint no 23609984 I again call to icici Lombard cust care no[protected] dated 30/06/2009 1:15 PM this time executive Sarita attend call ref no 4708980 when I ask the my complaint status she said that I have to cancel my current policy & apply for new one . when ask for cancelation charge she reply that bank will take cancellation charge also And refuse to take emi conversion request.

    When I have not make any mistake there not my fault anywhere so why I pay cancellation charge to bank and why cancel my Health Policy . I am feel cheated by ICICI Lombard
    This is very ridicules when they do fraud in selling their policy in this term how can any buddy trust for medical Claim

    Kindly do resolve the case either back my premium money or convert interest free Emi as commitment

    I have all details & Conversation I status no resolved by bank Till Evening I am going to registered a
    Case in Consumer court or any other civil court as per Lawyer

    And for NCDRC ( National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ) Kindly Registered a case behalf of me
    I’ lot more mentally Harassed By ICICI Lombard Because I’m not able to pay whole amount of premium as My wife is pregnant and her delivery expenses month

    Kindly reg a case against ICICI Lombard so that any other innocent person like cheated & fraud committed by these type of insurance calls

    ICICI Lombard and ICICI bank — Fraudulent activities for medical policy

    I’m writing this letter to you after a high dissatisfaction with the customer care service at ICICI.

    I am an ICICI credit card holder. I received a call from ICICI marketing department. The guy who spoke with me introduced himself as a junior manager. He was like enquiring about the delivery of credit card bills. From when the problem started, as I didn’t even requested for a hospital care policy but when they called for the final card delivery confirmation, ICICI executive told me that a pre approved medical policy has been activated in my credit card. But I claimed him that I do not need a policy as I’ve the one already.

    But between this conversation in a week I got a message to my mobile as already Rs.15000.00 /- was been deducted for a insurance policy no: 4063/HAP/04112973/00/000. So I called up ICICI Lombard care to cancel the request for Insurance policy. I raised a cancellation request. My cancellation request no is[protected]. They told me like they would be charging me with Rs 3000 for cancellation of policy as per norms. I told them that this was due to fraudulent activity with a person from ICICI, they told me to speak directly with ICICI care. I called up ICICI care and raised a complaint against this and they redirected me to ICICI Lombard customer support.

    Then onwards whenever I called up service executives they are transferring the calls to here and there and they don’t really have a plan to act on my request, they are simply hopeless, useless and no light shown to my request. Hence, they are purely playing a fraudulent role and trying to get me into the trap.

    As I’ve already heard about the malfunctioning of ICICI executives but this is my first ever bitter experience with ICICI.

    Here, I ask you to take immediate remedy action on this and credit my money back to the card and suggest you to take legal action on the executive.

    2. I have deposited a sum of Rs 49000/- in ICICI Infrastructure (Mutual Fund). After more than one month statement has not been received so far. Hence I contacted Mr Rajneesh Dwivedi of Agra branch as he was present in Jhansi branch at the time of my investment and he himself filled my form. After repeated requestes for more than 5 times a photocopy of the statement has ben received through one Mr Asheesh Tiwari, a broker. On checking the same it is found that all details including my name, account No, mailing address, residential tele No, Name of nominee are wrong. I approached Jhansi branch for rectification. Since no positive action from there, I again contacted Mr Rajneesh and he informed to handover the statement alongwith a copy of PAN Card and correct details to Miss Lalita Singh of Jhansi branch. Accordingly I handed over the said details on 19 Nov 08 (1100 h) and she informed me that a fresh statement will be delivered to me in the evening. I again visited Jhansi branch on 20 Nov 08 (1700 h) and I surprised to see that my request is laying on her table. On my interaction she introduced me to Mr Asheesh Tiwari. He initially rejected the request as the deposit is not made through him, finally he accepted and infomed me to wait for 10-15 days. Please do needful to rectify the faults and issue a corrected statement of accounts. My correct details are as under: IT WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED IF YOU CAN GIVE A FEEDBACK.

      I have a loan care insurance policy from ICIC (4043/0000002/ICICI/HL/0019108). I got it along with my home loan (LBBNG[protected]). I got my home loan transferred to another bank, so I called customer care and asked them to cancel the policy. (SR[protected] on April 9. When I asked for the cancellation (i called 2-3 times to confirm before final cancellation) and everyone from customer care assured me that i will be getting refund about 12000 by cheque which will be send to my address. After confirming the fact that i will get refund i asked for cancellation. I got 3-4 calls for the cancellation and the executive forced me not to cancel it. But i refused and again confirmed in each call about the refund and everyone informed me that i will get the money. Finally the policy was canceled. After 2 weeks when i enquired about my refund, i got the shock that there is no refund. Since then i called icici multiple times and explained that why i would cancel my policy if there is no refund. I still have one and half years left. Since last 3 weeks i am calling and no results. SOmeone called Ms Parveen on 5 june assured me that she will check and get back to me but nothing happened.

      I raised the issue on ICICI site with interaction id [protected]. I got one mail stating "With reference to your mail and as per confirmation given by our concern department, we would like to inform you that the policy( 4043/0000002/ICICI-HL/0019108 ) has been cancelled as per refund grid. "
      I dont know and really do not want to know anymore what is this refund grid. Please understand the simple english what is my point and resolve it accordingly. What i know is that ICICI promised me a refund during cancellation and now ICICI is only refusing it. Whether you are writing mails or working in call centre you represent ICICI. The worst part is that no one bothered to give me a call. However for credit cards / invetment planning i still get spam calls from ICICI but to resolve an issue, no one calls!
      Now the question is not about Rs 1000 refund but about the trust and faith in ICICI. The way i have been treated in last 2 months, makes me really angry and frustrated.

        Hello friends, I found a strange thing about ICICI Lombard insurance company. Few days back, I tried to insure my car with this company online. After taking payment from me, they told me that they will send an authorized agent for surveying my car. The agent turned up after 4 days and then he tried to extort money from me, saying that if you want me to pass your car, I will need Rs. 500 for this otherwise I will reject your car. The car is in excellent condition; but I need the money. I refused and then he literally gave a wrong report of my car. I told this to the customer care of ICICI Lombard call center in mumbai, where there are only 3 or 4 people, who do not even know how to speak in proper and polite english with proficient grammar. They kept giving me the answer that the system is not yet updated. After constant follow up and headache, I got the money back into my credit card after one month. Never use this insurance.

        Mu friend has one more experience. The company says that they do lightning fast claims; but its all wrong, my friend got only 7% of the claim amount. The only thing, which was "lightning fast" there was the bribe officials wanted. I am posting this to make all the friends cautious here.

          my policy expire on dt- 28-6-09, p0licy no-4034/fhr/03958637/00/000. your call centrer is refusing to renue on line, and says that you contect at your nearest branch. my current policy is rural, branch says that this rural policy is closed by compny and offering other policy on verry high primium i.s. rs 300000. instedd of old premiun of rs. 7300. call center is says that rural policy is runnig at present.what is true ?

          in rural policy there are certain cmmitments, what is about this commitment ? this is the problem of faith with icici compny------.
          pl. find out solution and take action for renewal my current policy before expire. 15afb

            ICICI LOMBARD & TTK are jointly bombarding the people with thier insurance schemas, they are the biggest shameless looters in the market...In my case they just called me and imposed a Medical policy on my credit card for Rs.12, 000/- which i am paying everymonth in EMI's till now...But i got hospatilised on Dec 11th 2008 and discharged on 16th dec 2008 & submitted all the documents for the claims by 23rd Dec 2008. But for my claim of Rs 19, 000/- they are till date repeating " ITS ON PROCESS" PLS GIVE US 2 DAYS TIME"...from TTK when called to customer care..[protected].

            Please remember to blast them when they call to sell you a mediclaim policy especially from ICICI LOMBARD & TTK..

            I have requested for reopening for the claim in February’09. For past one year I HAVE MADE MORE THAN 2 DOZEN CALLS, I have been receiving update from call center that my claim has been reopened but status is not changing. I am not receiving any useful information or escalation contact from call center folks.

            Please help in resolving this issue

              I made many reminders but till date the policy is not issued.

                ICICI Lombard has recovered a huge amount of Rs.15000/- from my SB Bank A/c without my written consent in the interest of ICICI Lombard. I am stating since begining that though i have naver approched / proposed for any insurance to ICICI Lombard, thay have recovered Rs.15000/- towards Health Insurance Premium under the so called telephonic confirmation which i have denied since begining and also submited the proof in the matter.

                In my case i have categorically stated in all my mails that i have naver approched / proposed for the insurance from ICICI Lombard. But ICICI Lombard has febricated the so called telephonic confirmation recording in my name wrongly and adopted UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE. I have also asked for any document, singed by me in the matter frquently which is naver supplied to me till date. This it self speaks about the Unfair Trade Practices adopted by ICICI Lombard.

                You are therefore requested to look into the matter and arrange to refund my amount as stated above without further delay in the matter.

                It is needless to state that if the amount of Rs.15000/- towards Health Insurance Premium under the so called telephonic confirmation is not refunded to me within TEN Days after receipt of this mail, i will have to approch Consumer Forum, Vadodara for the UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE adopted by ICICI Lombard in the interest of justice.

                  Hi,

                  This is with relation to the ICICI Lombard Insurance which was forcibly thrown upon me.
                  I started receiving the statements for the payment of the premiums to which I ignored it.But I did not think that in the bargain I would have to pay a very big price for it.
                  I was sent the Credit card also which the telemarketing asociate lured me with the excellent benefits and life time free charges and so on.
                  I did not swab the credit card at all.
                  The monthly statements started pouring in and on one very fine day that is 17th April 2008, when I was travelling in Mumbai, I get a call at 2.30 pm, the person saying he is speaking on behalf of ICICI Bank from the Police Department asking for the payment of the amount due of the premiums.
                  I explained to them that I was in Mumbai at that time and would get in touch with them as soon I would have reached Pune.
                  But he was very adamant and he threatened me that if the money was not deposited by evening on that day they would visit my residence and take away my wife, my children from there under custody.Naturally not being in Pune at that particular time and the threatining received, I immediately made arrangements for the same from Pune through my friend and made the payment of Rs 20, 218.00.
                  After reaching Pune I visited the Bhandarkar Branch of ICICI with my complaint but they just turned a deaf ear saying that they were not responsible for the department people, they might be the people send by the Lombard insurance.
                  I went to the Lombard Insurance and they gave me the same reply as the ICICI that they might be the people of the Lombard Insurance.
                  In this manner I was made to run from pillar to post but in this race I lost my money of /rs 20, 218.00
                  Then again I got in touch with the Lombard to cancel my policy and they did the same and after deductions I was to be paid some Rs 4500 odd figure which i havent till yet received the same.
                  Please can you help me in this case as the policy first and of all was enforced upon me thro a telephonic conversation and the mental harrasment which i suffered from the people who were claimimg to be the Department people.
                  Besides this they have also been deducting /rs 500 per month for some BSNL number which has never been registered by me.
                  I would be highly obliged to you to help me in this case.

                    I have recd. a policy of Rs. 3, 00, 000
                    My cheque bounce due to not submitted with in the time period
                    After that Agent Manpreet Singh come my home Show His ID Card, Licence, and confirm from His office contact no. printed on Visiting Card
                    and give me receipt on ICICI Lombard Letter Head
                    collect Rs. 7000 Cash.

                    and confirm collect payment against cheque

                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                      I had taken a ICICI Lomabard - Home contents policy in 2005 for 5 yrs but as the Insurer denies to change the residence address and to cover the same contents at new residence, I decided to cancell the policy no. 4013/041712/00/001 .The same was confirmed as cancelled on 23/03/09 by ICICI also. But on account of refund of excess premium as the policy was cancelled before maturity, they are asking an unusal thing i.e - copy of bank statement of 2005 as proof of payment (from which premium was paid). I requested them that its very old and I also not exactly not remember from which bank the premium was paid and no bank will give the bank statement so old. Also on the other hand, why exactly they require the same when they can also check their records and confirm the same. But inspite of so many request and confirmation they are not willing to understand and is insisting on their point of providing the bank statement.
                      Its more or less a non-refunding attitude of ICICI Lombard.

                      Pls help in resolving the issue at the earliest.

                        I have car insurance policy No. 3001/53268665/01/000, last 2 year regular renewed. On 13th Jun'09 in an accident so my car HR26AP9716 is front & left side demes. Then I inform to icici Lombard then he gives me and claim no. MOT01157190, then icici surveyor come & only 3 part claim approved other he not given (other parts is left side back door, left side back panel & front bum fur etc is not given. All accidental car photograph attached in mail pals find the attach photo.

                        Kindly help me last four days I’m very tired to icici Lombard.

                          ICICI Medical Policy Cancellation

                          ICICI lombard is one of my worst customer service expenses. I took a policy that was getting over on 25th May. I could not renew it automatically on icici lombard online page ..I talked to their customer supports and sent them multiple mails ..I just got automatic response but nothing else after that ..

                            On 14th may 2009 I bought a Two-Wheeler insurance policy through ICICI Lombard online portal. I made the payment of the premium amount of Rs 1223/- through my credit card.
                            At the time of purchase I was intimated that the original copy of Policy will be delivered to me within a 15 days.
                            However, the policy papers are still awaiting.
                            This is a wretched service observed from such a reputed company.

And Before march i have submitted FR copy on your M2K Plaza... at that nobody said about cover note is fake, but when payment date is coming that time i am getting call from icici Lombard your police number not detected in our system, at that time nobody tell about concern he is saying only your claim money is not clear so that it is taking time. But after one week i was getting call again from icici Lombard your cover number is fraud….. I was totally socked.                                 I think you should accelate this issue to higher department of ICICI named( Naseem Khan and Vishal Dubhashi) also put IRDA in CC. So that we can teach a lesson to these guys that what a common men can do.

                                In My company I have a claim pending since last August 16, 2008. our company truck met with Accident near Agra. a cleaner died in it. truck smashed from front, was almost complete crash but they repaired truck, I paid 3, 50, 000 Rs for repairing with the hope that i will get the Insurance otherwise I might have scrap the truck. and results we are still not getting our insurance payment. They don't find in system My claim number : MOT00866196. my policy number is 3003/51795663/01/000.

                                I have exactly similar experience as you had. Not only one or two person but you will find almost all customers suffers a lot when you ask for claim. Best question ask them did Lombard paid any of the claim in your area, call them and find the truth. you will surprise with results.

                                In short, I think private companies never pays insurance claims. and I swith to govt. company atlest payment is assured.

                                  I have a car policy number 3001/55643628/00/000. with references to letter n.DEL/MOTOR CLAIM /1116910/09-10 send by the ICICI it state that insurance policy produced by me was cancelled due to premium cheque bounce. I confirm from my Bank that no cheque have been produced for the payment, there fore it is totally baseless to say that it has bounced.                                   icici lombard car insurance — my mobile no given to the insurance company

                                  hi my mobile no is [protected]. this is my moms mobile no. i am her son niloy mallick using it. Two weeks back from the above mentioned company from kolkata branch called me up for car insurance. Till yet there is no such any problem but the thing is the person whose car is insured using my moms mobile no and without any verification they input all the data. Also after some querry i came to know that the person who is doing this, name is Anjan Roy and his mobile no : [protected]. He is doing this intentionally and previously he also done this with hdfc bank. This type of Fraud case is needed to be stopped as early as possible. I am fear also that the person named above used my moms mobile no as well as mine without my knowledge used at any other place or not.

                                    Hello Sir,
                                    This is Soumya Parial from Kolkata. I've a ICICI EMI Card(No. [protected]) in my name with Limit of Rs. 48000 and month min of Rs 2000. This is not affordable and hence I've hence not used it for the 1st 4/5 months.On January, 09 I've rec'd a call from ICICI Lombard from their Telemarketing Division and they'd briefed me about their product that lured me.They wanted a Credit Card of ICICI Bank and I've categorically mentioned that since this is a EMI card and there is a burden of paying Rs 2000 pm, it's not gonna be affordable to me.They insisted and briefed about the product and then assured me that total policy amount (Rs. 6732) will be deducted in 12 equal instalments which will cost me Rs 570 to Rs 600 pm, and also within my affordability.I got convinced and gave my consent on the same during their final confirmation call and they cleared the amount from bank.Within 14 days when I rec'd 1st statement, I was shocked to see that though my total o/s was same(Rs 6732), my min. amount due was Rs 2000 rather than Rs 570-Rs.600. This infuriated me and without wasting much of time, I shoot a mail to Lombard and Bank (ICICI) as well. They took the complaint and gave me ref no. however did not fix my problem. As I've never used this card, I did not pay a single penny to the bank. On 29th may, 09(yesterday), I've rec'd a notification from ICICI Bank regarding Lien marked on my bank account
                                    (A/c No.[protected] towards unpaid o/s dues of Rs 11575.55 and today only when my salary has been credited to that account, I found that I was unable to withdraw any amount due to insufficient fund !
                                    Now it is absolutely unbearable condition for me, as I can't fulfill my monthly commitment in different areas and my life has turned into a hell.
                                    Under the circumstance, I would request you to take the necessary steps against Lombard due to this miss-selling so that people like me don't have to suffer this excruciating pain. I would appreciate if you take serious and sincere steps to fix this and give relief to me.

                                      i got this insurance renewed in the month of October 2008 cover note of insurance is PH7596632 of amount Rs 9451 for which i had given a cheque of OBC a/c cheque number is 472191 which was dated 24/10/08, this policy was done through harpreet ford i didn't received my cover note neither the policy paper after making so many calls i got the cover note but i didn't get my policy paper till date.i made a call to customer care of ICICI Lombard 15 days ago and the executive assured me of getting the policy within 7 days but what i was received was shocking as i got the latter of cancellation of my policy was created a scene at my home as my father is suffering from low BP i want proper compensation for this and my policy paper
