A week ago I bought a new idea sim no.[protected] for its good coverage of 3g connection in my area. So far I used BSNL and bt it is less coverage than of idea. After recharging 74rs, got 200mb with good speed bt in few mintues after browsing, I dont know from where an advertisement popped up and activated some kind of service that charged 90rs from my account. When I called customer care, they said they dont create such ads, then I want to know that who is working behind these fraud ads which gives benefit to idea cellular? I never experienced such kind of fraud with BSNL 3g service, I hv never been charged an extra rupees from bsnl and never seen such an ad. Now I put my "new idea" into the drawer.

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    I am Nilesh Patidar using Idea cellular network number [protected] since last few years. my village is Appx. 2 KM away from Idea tower but Since last 1 years
    Idea tower network connectivity is not working properly and we are(my villagers) continuously facing network connectivity issues. There are Appx 500+ Idea cellular Network users. Everyday all the Idea cellular customer in my village are suffering due to poor range and connectivity. Sometime full day we are not getting network. All users are very upset with Idea network and facing daily big problem in connectivity. Recently our village faced flood problem. In flood we did not receive idea network for two days and on that day we are not able to connect with police and government body for any help. This is a serious issue and if any incident happen then Network provider should be responsible. we have complain many times regarding this problem in Idea offices But still no response came from their side.Now this problem is on worst case and we are planning for strong complain against Idea cellular network. and unfortunately some people are moving on another network. I request you to kindly do the needful.

      I made a 3G recharge on my Idea Number (Maharashtra Circle) [protected] which was of INR 61 with 7 days of validity and 180mb data usage.I used my entire Data MB and i was totally unaware of this fact and i was not at all reminded by IDEA cellular company of the fact that my free data usage (MB) is over. I think this is a pathetic way of doing business, A message must be sent to the customer regarding the fact that his/her free data mb is over and he/she shall recharge his/her account immediately to avoid any deduction of amount from his/her main balance. I request Consumer Forum to take a strict action against this and punish the guilty ones.

        Hats off to the slogan using by the Idea cellular "AN IDEA WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE" --- Yes after taking idea connection my life has changed with lot of painful experience in terms of poor service, call drops, internet service outage, long hours hold to interact with the customer care. What a third class company it is!! I'm working for a corporate company and I too deal with customers but the way how idea customer care treats the customer is really horrible. They kept me on hold for more than an hour but still not resolved the issue. I have registered a complaint on 14-Sep2015 at 12:01PM through a communication ID # C1-[protected] (mobile number [protected]). They have initially given the resolution date as 22-SEP-2015 and later extended to 03-OCT-2015. The issue is related to additional charges posed on 3G Internet pack, which was actually enabled based on the promotional SMS received on mobile number and they have not communicated about the hidden conditions either thru an email or SMS. Apart from that, they have charged me as per 3G pack but provided 2G service, which was confirmed by the idea customer care executive. On top of those issues, they have suddenly stopped the internet service without giving any intimation to the customer and as a reason I have incurred a business loss of INR.60, 000/- as I'm handling the internet based financial share market services. It took nearly 4hours time to get the internet service again after calling multiple times to the customer care team by taking the pain of waiting more than an hour hold time to appeal my complaint. Instead of resolving the issue on priority basis, they have given 15days waiting time to resolve the issue but they barred my mobile number and as a reason I'm not able make any outgoing call or send any outgoing SMS. As the resolution time is extended by Idea team, why should I pay the RENTAL without using any services. Instead of resolving the issue, they are creating more issues on top of the existing issue. For the god sake, I recommend none o[censored]s should take a connection from IDEA and I'm strongly requesting to share this information to the rest of the customers.

        Kindly close the following service & billing issues to continue with the idea network, else, close the number [protected] on urgent basis.

        Here are the issues found in the latest billing cycle dated on 01-OCT-2015:

        Issue-1: Under "Local Calls - Cellular" detailed section:
        ---> Amount is charged against "12345cc" on 16-Sep & 21-Sep ---> Please waive-off

        Issue-2: Under "SMS" detailed section:
        ---> Amount is charged for the destination number "056633" on 22-Sep ---> Please waive-off

        Issue-3: Under "GPRS (Volume) Usage" detailed section:
        ---> Amount 340.04/- is charged for the usage of internet on 21-Sep (why have you allowed when my mobile data is crossed against the package (1G data) ? ---> Please waive-off

        Issue-4: Under "Summary of Charges" / "Balance Carried Forward":
        ---> Amount 455.68/- mentioned in the section "Balance Carried Forward" is not relevant to me due to the miscommunication from idea team upon 3G pack activation, data usage & time. ---> Please waive-off

        Issue-5: Under "Summary of Charges" / "Other Credits & Charges"
        ---> Amount 455.68/- mentioned in the section "Balance Carried Forward" is not relevant to me due to the miscommunication from idea team upon 3G pack activation, data usage & time. ---> Please waive-off


        I have been communicating with idea team from 14-SEP onwards but still idea is not able to understand the customer's issue logically!
        I'm really not at all happy with IDEA in terms of WORST SERVICE, FREQUENT INTERNET FAILURES, BARRING CALLING/ MESSAGING/ INTERNET FACILITY & RECURSIVE BILLING ISSUES. Need your immediate attention on these issues..

        My IDEA mobile number is: [protected] -- Billing Concerns Related to Internet Charges & Enabling of wrong data pack through miscommunication.

        Here are the major issues, which are not at all acceptable from the BRAND IDEA NETWORK:

        1. As per the initial interaction with the customer care executive about the lack of information provided in the promotional SMS for enabling the internet 3G pack and as a reason, he was willing to wave-off 50% of the billed amount but still I have asked him to wave-off the full amount (Recorded voice is available). After registering a complaint, I have received a call from IDEA team and he has confirmed on the waiving off internet charges as well.

        2. Even though I have followed the instructions given in the SMS to enable 3G pack but still 2G pack was enabled on my mobile number till 15-SEP but charged for 3G pack ----> Recorded voice as confirmed by the customer care executive.

        3. Without giving the proper intimation to customer either through SMS or EMAIL, IDEA team has barred my internet connection unexpectedly, which was caused the loss of INR. 60, 000/- as I'm handling internet based financial share market business.

        4. In order to enable the internet connection, I have made few calls to customer care (called for 5 times) and it was a horrible experience, where my call was kept on hold nearly for an HOUR, without giving any answer! -- Not at all acceptable for taking customer's precious time for the wrong service issues.

        5. Why have you barred my outgoing calls & message facility nearly a week ago without resolving the registered complaints?

        6. I'm not going to pay the either rental or bill as my number is barred and how can pay the money for the services which am not using? I have requested several times over the phone & through emails about disabling of 3G PACK & closing of my number but still it is not implemented and am not responsible for any charges against those services in the future bill statements.

        Finally, I have interacted with few other customer care executives during this week and the remarks are completely against to the initial commitments given by the customer care executives, which is really a strange situation to the customer to digest the different opinions on a single issue.

        Could you please confirm whether you are waiving-off the amount or not? If not, then please disconnect the number permanently and kindly confirm through an email about the CLOSURE of my postpaid connection [protected]. Kindly DEACTIVATE all add-on services such as INTERNET PACKS etc immediately on this number. If you are going to blame the customer again then will proceed with the legal formalities.

        Even though there were many service interrupts (made a loss of INR.60, 000/- in internet based share market business just for the sake of idea internet service failure) but still continuing with the idea network & paid the bills on-time till date. If you really want to help the genuine customers then do it asap, so that, I will not leave the idea network else close the number immediately.

          On 22/09/2015 at 19:54, i did idea online recharge on mobile no. [protected] of Rs.40 by visa/debit card of obc bank via ideacellular.com, but recharge failed and Rs.40 is deducted from my account.Till then no amount refunded to my account or recharged to my mobile. Please HELP asap as it happened twice with me. I am attaching proof.

            Sir, I used Idea cellular postpaid([protected]) activated plan was I599 in which I got 20 free packs bifurcation like that 2G Free Packs 250 MB 2G GPRS -3 STD Free Packs 90 Free STD Mins -1 Local Free Packs 100 Mins Local Calls -15 SMS Free Packs 350 Local/National SMS -1 I raised a request to change my plan on 22 sep my request id was C1-[protected]. my plan has been changed like that 2G Free Packs 250 MB 2G GPRS -5 STD Free Packs 90 Free STD Mins -1 Local Free Packs 100 Mins Local Calls -13 SMS Free Packs 350 Local/National SMS -1 how ever on 23 my un billed amount was 373 but on 24 suddenly increased from 373 to 1673 when I complain to customer care they told I used excess data but my remaining data pack is 449.31 and told to wait till the bill even they did not raised a complain so that the data is deducted from my activated net pack. now I am not using my data because it is chargeable even I have a activate data pack. kindly do the the need full

              I am facing similar problem while trying to move from Idea Maharashtra to Airtel Karnataka, I wonder how could UPC code on the form could be wrong thrice. I have been Idea customer since 2004 using various different numbers (3 years in Bhopal, 4 years in Hyderabad and another 4 years in Pune) and now I want to continue my Pune number at Bangalore and I am astounded on how they could disrespect my decision to now move out to some other provider by rejecting my MNP request twice for same reason of incorrect code. I have filled the form myself and I doubt if data entry operators would make this mistake. Cell number [protected], Last UPC IZ621986, dated 11th September 2015. I have also seen Idea doing similar antics with other customers. Could it be that they are trying to use the loop hole in TRAI guidelines to delay their customers to move out from their network.

              There was no telephone call with me. Do you know why? because I was out network.. unreachable in middle of city.. (so Idea also knows what am I suffering from)

              So your service associate called my wife and told her that Idea did not receive any Porting request.. Now sir, please explain to me What kind of lie is that..

              Anyways my wife asked the associate that if no request was received by Idea then how come we received the message stating that request was rejected by Donor... After that phone was disconnected.

              We did not receive any more calls after that.

                  Hitesh Pawade on Jun 24, 2015 I Gave my Idea ultra plus(alkatel pop c7) mobile to repair it.. company returns it to me after 4 months and also charged 1419/- irrespective of warranty. after that there is again fault in my phone's microphone that the caller is not able to hear my voice... so bad service...

                    Long time back I used idea and left them because of poor services, lot of billing issues. This happened 10-11 years back. Now after long time I got the numbers ported back to idea after getting a good plan. But all that became a nightmare like situation. (I am using this service since last 5 months now.) It all started with internet speed which was worst. Before Idea I used to connect my laptop via phone during non business hours and meetings (no dongles) to surf internet. Check any idea user and they will be able to tell the speed. You are paying for 3G and not getting even 2G. Call drops has increased drastically with lot of network issues. It became worse when I was unable to make bill payment due to some issues see what happened. Their Executives get into your Personal Life All this started with a phone call from a female executive stating that I am calling from Idea (some Balaji Courier Service which later I discovered that she was from idea collection team) and your bill needs to be delivered. I changed my office address which used to be my billing address. I told her about new address. After this what happened was unexpected. She started scanning call details from my old bills and called every possible person asking how they know me, my relation with them and my current address. May be she wanted to double sure that the address I have provided is correct or not. But hardly anyone would know the office address. All people know is the place where you work, no one has the exact address. I did not receive the bill, later I asked them to email me and then I made the payment, shared screenshot of payment made but she continuously kept calling everyone. My security guard got call three times (Why She knows better). Imagine a company allows your executives to get into your bills and do all this crap. In the process of poring number back to some other provide that can provide better services. Never see you again Idea Will Idea take any action of this is a regular practice for collection.                       Firstly hats off to the slogan what this team is using ( Idea cellular )- IDEA WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE -Yes after taking connection they defiantly change the life to pain. What a third class company really.. I am head at one of big corporate company and we also deal with customers and the way we handle customers and experienced good service with few more companies .. But for god sake i recommend none should take a plan from IDEA this is my strong recommendation. Small brief about my issue- I had bad network and internet connection with Idea ([protected] ) due to network related i said to cancel my connection and requested with CC team - They said we cannot take the request and they are least bothered in transferring the call to respective supervisor even after request and routed to visit branch-i visited the koramangala branch located opp to st john auditorium and requested for the same - One said get the ID proof photo copy the moment i handed over the same he said, we cannot handle please talk to CC team - i said i did that but no use. He was least bothered to listen - I stepped out and called CC again same story - I didn made the payment so received the call from one agency collection- My god the way they speak ( Rubbish pronunciation) and no respect - Some how after discussion i paid only requested him to help me he gave false promise - any how this is common for Idea and team. Later i spent some time in googling to escalate the issue at Idea website- Great part you don't have escalation contact information ( i should firstly say - ban this service ) - I got one AKOSHA -registered complaint[protected] its 9 months till date not even a single update from them- I got Notice there was contact mail ID wrote to him - name starts with S - he is least bothered to revert. One contact number which was invalid- i am paying my bill without using connection from 10 months close to- I request one to take a action on this company.

                              Respected Sir, Myself Pratik Solanki, Mo. No. [protected]. Sir My regular bill of postpaid connection come between 600 to 750 Rs. But Last month my bill come 1338 Rs.On 23.09.2015 8:00AM i called idea customer care regarding this matter. They told me that 240 Rs. for Idea talkies and 100 Rs. for SMS MT was deducted. When i excuse him, officer told me that this scheme is activated via internet. He also told that one pop up come for activation of idea talkies. there is no charge mentioned on that pop up.You have clicked on that.I told him that Science Last two year i have never activate this type of scheme.And without Display of charge, Confirmation and Warning regarding money charge how you deduct money.How you deduct money on Single pop-up.Other charges are ok. I also visited idea showroom at radhanpur chokdi, Mehsana when i get sms of 240 charge of Idea talkies. Officer seating over there told me that there is no other type of charge display on your account. One more thing...Advertisement actually used for "Let the people Know about your company and scheme.Not for generating Pop-up and deducting money of people who are customer of their company.Remember "Customer is god".                                   I had asked to Suspend my number [protected] many times to Idea Customer Care. They agreed but since last three months they are sending messages/mails to clear the due/fine which was already to be Suspended. Despite of paying 300/- Rs Deposit amount, they dint even pay back. They are sending mails to my reference mobile number asking to pay fine to avoid legal actions. I am highly disappointed by their due course of action .I want a refund and no more messages from them. For this Issue I call back distributer but he says no money he take from me. I says to TM & ASM also but anybody don't help me. Are complaiming me that it's a incorrect number... i may state that i'm a sales executive and when i miss the calls i miss the customer and i have to say that they are ruining my buisiness. The solution suggested to me was to change the simcard and i have already done it and still no difference . I have shifted to idea network expecting a better network as that of which you boast in your advertisements. Keralas No1 service yet here I stand troubled by your network service . Kindly let me know what they can do about this. Please let me know if there is nothing they can do about this also.

                                        I am using IDEA Post paid connection but I want to convert it into Prepaid, So as per customer care I have to visit at IDEA Service Center to fill Form for legal formality. I have visited two centers Mohan Nagar and Aarya Nagar, Ghaziabad but at both location the Systems was not working but my Bill cycle is 23rd to 22nd so it is must to convert it today, but again after asking any solution from customer care they was not able to give any solution to me.
