This is regarding continuous honking by the passenger and goods trains that pass from Pune railway station towards various destinations via Ghorpudi / BT Kawade Road. I have my flat on BT Kawade Road and I have observed that all trains at all times of day and night.blow long horns which are very irritating and disturbing to the mind. While the purpose of safety cannot be compromised yet one can always educate the locomotive drivers to use the horn with extreme care. So when there is a real need a short whistle would suffice the purpose saving lakhs of residents of inconvenience and sleepless nights.
I request the concerned officials of Railway Division, Pune to kindly look into the matter and direct appropriate action. An act of sympathetic consideration would go a long way to alleviate the sufferings of the common man.

    Sir, I have purchased a tatkal ticket from Asansol Railway Station counter on 06.11.2011 at 9.00 a.m. for going to Jharsuguda from Asansol vide PNR No.[protected] before 2 days journey, but ticket has under waiting vide no WL/79. It is also not confirmed at the time of journey. It could not be understood how the berth is not available in tatkal ticket, then what means to purchase the ticket. Whether the extra payment of tatkal ticket may be returned or not. Please suggest me and enquire the matter why the tatkal booked within 1 hour as the ticket counter is opened between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Dear Rani
    First of all if the ticket is not confirmed then u need to go to the counter to cancel it and full refund (including extra) of your money will be provided. Now since the chart has been prepared so it would be better if you get it cancelled.
    Other thing is that there is no guarantee that if you r booking a tatkal ticket then u will be provided with a confirm berth. There are thousands booking tatkal ticket also. You are saying u booked within 1 hr which is way too late. There are cases when all tickets are finished within seconds of opening tatkal. Once I did not get a ticket after 2 seconds also thanks to the hundreds of agents mushroomed all over.
    So take care from next time.

      I TRAVELLED FROM BANDEL JN TO SURI ON 01 NOV 11 BY 53045 MAYURAKSHI EXP PNR NO [protected]. DURING THE TRAVEL OF 202 KM NO TTE CAME TO CHECK THE TICKET IN RESERVED COMPARTMENT D1 WHERE ONLY 6 TO 8 PASSENGERS WERE HAVING CONFIRMED TICKETS AS PER THE CHART AFFIXED ON THE TRAIN AND OTHER PASSENGERS WERE EITHER HAVING NO TICKET OR INVALID TICKETS AS THE PASSENGERS OF RESERVED COMPARTMENTS D1, D2 AND D3 NEEDS TO RESERVE A SEAT TO TRAVEL.
      ON 3RD NOV WHILE COMING BACK I ALIGHTED AT BANDEL JN INSTEAD OF HOWRAH (NOT TRAVELLING 37 KM) AND TOOK A TRAIN TO NAIHATI JN (6 KM) AND PLANNED TO GO TO PALTA (13 KM) (TOTAL 19 KM AS PER THE RAILWAY CHART) BY ANOTHER TRAIN WHERE TTE COUGHT ME AND CHARGED ME RS. 259/- FOR NOT TRAVELLING IN PROPER ROUTE. I REQUESTED THE HEAD TTE TO WAIVE OFF THE CHARGE BECAUSE I AM NOT TICKETLESS BUT NOT TRAVELLING UPTO HOWRAH AND BY NOT DOING SO I AM TRAVELLING LESS DISTANCE OF 18 KM UPTO PALTA NOT UP TO THE HOWRAH. MY QUESTION IS THAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CHARGED THE FINE FOR NOT COMPLETING THE JOURNEY, SAVING MY AND RAILWAYS DISTANCE? WHICH I THINK I HAVE DONE FAVOUR TO RAILWAYS.

        Complaint is in concern with mismanagement of "PILLOW & BLANKET DISTRIBUTION" in Train No.12535/12536(Lucknow-Raipur Garibrath Express).I usually travel in this train and found this mismanagement;insufficient number.
        Garib Rath trains are not suppossed to have and distribute blankets, pillows etc. Whatever present there are organised by attendants themselves on a personal basis and they charge some amount for that. So its better to carry your own when u r travelling by Garib Rath.
        You cannot ensure that for each and every traveller there is a blanket and a pillow reserved.
        It has been observed that Indian railways hospitality facility continuously decreasing all over India.We found ed same experience in Intercity Jorhat to Guwahati express also in North East Railway Section.

          Sir,
          witrh due request since january I have to travell alot to punjab and back. while returning your train reaches at around 3pm and my connecting train for solapur FROM dadar at1050pm. My proplem is this as i came from such a long from punjab and having connecting ticket then why dadar sataion master is not allowing us to enter the waiting room. He says you can go inside only before 2 hour.Why? As this is not my starting station this rule is not aplicable for the person who travell such a long distance, where to go this may lead to accidents also . kindly guide me.

          Yes, It is very correct & justify to allow a ticket holder to enter in a waiting hall if he is in transit. It should be considered as a part of safety of a travelling passenger.

          In Rajahmundry railway station there were two waiting rooms for sleeper and ac.but now they are charging money for AC waiting room and they converted sleeper waiting hall to sleeper and ac waiting hall.now there is no AC waiting hall for who have AC tickets for free.Please do needful.

            I was looking to book online tatkal tickets for 5-Nov-2011 from Dhanbad to Jaipur in Sdah-Ajmer Express (Train no. - 12987). Since tatkal tickets can only be booked 2 days in advence, I was not allowed to book tickets. But to my surprise, I noticed that Tatkal tickets for 5-Nov are already showing waiting lists.
            My question here is that, If no one can book tatkal before 2 days, how can tickets status go in waiting list? This is the story of everyday and we never get any confirmed tatkal tickets. I guess some manipulation is going on in the database through backend.

            I have taken the screenshot of the website but can't see any option to upload here.

              I was at Vastrapur Railway station this weekend to book TATKAL Ticket. I stood in queue from 9:00 PM earlier Night till 8 AM Next Morning.

              I have faced problem of touts who capture 1st TEN positions in queue, they also force and bully other citizen. There was not a single person standing in the queue from Tout's side till morning 5 AM. Then people started occupying 1st 10 Positions and when we have opposed it Touts have started using foul language and started threatening us.

              I request all responsible citizens also to Start Taking action against such Criminals in INDIA.

              Please take required actions to Stop this menace.

                Yesterday I have travelled by Train No.08056 Tirupati - Shalimar Super Fast Special Train. I have boarded the train at Gudur Junction where the scheduled departure is 22.00 whereas the train has departed at 23.30 one & half hour late. The scheduled arrival of the train is 09.15 am whereas the train reached Visakhapatnam at 12.30 PM which is 3 hours late from scheduled arrival time.

                I do not why Indian Railways runs special trains as they will never run on time & all the ordinary passenger trains are run on schedule & keeping these special trains aside for no reason. However, Indian Railways has charged us Super Fast charges for these special train for running unreasonable late.

                Indian Railways is taking the passengers for a ride & no body answered for late running which puts the passengers to face hardships.

                My only suggestion is to stop running special trains & to manage with the existing trains as the Railways do not know how to run the trains on schedule time.

                Indian Railways — Taking Superfast charge on ordinary trains

                2257 KOCHUVELI GR For this train Railway is charging Super fast train 30 rs and there is a clause that 55 Km per hour should be managed as an average speed for Super fast trains.
                It starts from here YPR YESVANTPUR JN 1 - 21:00 and reaches KCVL KOCHUVELI 1 12:40 which is 0808 kms away .
                Speed = DIstance / time
                So the avg speed is 15 hours 40 minutes
                speed =808/15.66 = 51 Km per hour . Then why are you taking this charge ..Please remove this charge of 30 Rs .

                Railway is fooling people and trying to join the Bus lobby.There is only one train from Kerala on Sunday to Bangalore when there is 90 or so private buses .The garib rath on the way back starts at midnight in cochin and reaches by 12 pm .that too on Tuesdays(nbothing on weekends).. So most of the people dont gain anything out of this .So it goes unoccupied and slowly Railway will stop it saying it is loss.It stopped Hosur stop because lot of people working in Bangalore were making use of this stop since the next stop is 60 km or so away.
                We want a stop near Electronic CIty which is easily accessible by Bus.

                We want more trains on Sunday and Fridays to Bangalore and from Bangalore to Kerala when there is more need since train charge is 1/3rd charge of the bus.

                I am daily commuter by train between stations Ankleshwar and Vadodara, by local MEMU train no: 712 & 711. Arrival time of MEMu 711 from Bhilad to Vadodara at Ankleshwar station was 18:42 and that was changed to 18:47 and from the very first day of time changed, train has not arrived on right time. after that it is also placed in sidings for passing Bhilard Exps. and even Rajdhani also which means train reaching Vadodara around 21:15 to 21:30. This is very harassing. Since no new train was inserted before this train then whats need of delaying the time and harassing the passengers. I would like to request Rail Minister to look in to the matter and regularize the running time of train so that lots of passenger like me commuting for job dont get frustrated.

                MNK — Late running of Specials

                Respected sir

                I am regular traveller on Rail in the MS-NCJ sector, Whenever I travel in the specials, The trains is purposefully detained at stations after MAdurai for Hours and used to reach destination very late, IF this delay is a Must Why dont you reschedule your Timetable and charge less from People, I fear Some of the officials of stations Beyond MAdurai is keeping train at their stations for flimsy reasons, as The trains normally ply on right time upto Madurai
                The train no 06004 of 20.12.2010 supposed to reach Chengannur at 18.15hrs but till now (21.45hrs) it has not reached and no infn on whether the train has left Quilon at all. The funniest part is, the "Spot your train" says the train has left "IN TIME" from Chengannur even now, whereas the train has not even left Quilon.
                Mamata dhidhi are you listening? This is how the IR is functioning.

                  Sir/Madam, IRCTC does not seem to allow us to book for trains after midnight. As an Example,I wanted to book for 25th Oct 1am train from Salem to Chennai.Neither am I able to book using previous station as destination on Oct 24 and Salem as Boarding place on 25th nor directly am I able to book for 25th Oct on 22nd Oct and when I check availablility in IRCTC, it already shows Waiting List for 25th Oct. I do not understand how 25th morning 1am train can be booked if there is no possibility at all. I would like you to change,shift and align the midnight booking system so that passengers are clear and they can book trains that are boarded after midnight.

                    I am Sr.Woman Citizen of India, experiencing harassment by way of denial my booking the reservation in 12397 Mahabodhi Exp. on 07/01/2012 from Vindhyachal (BDL) to New Delhi (NDLS); But ridiculously allowed my return booking on 10/01/2012 from New Delhi (NDLS) to Vindhyachal (BDL) in same train 12398 Mahabodhi Exp. This is sarcastic because at present the said train is having its stoppage at Vindhyachal in both for UP as well as Down journey ! May I, therefore, request Railway Authorities to look into such irregularities, negligences of train operating schedules and take corrective actions in order to eliminate harassment and creating problems to passengers ?

                      Dear Sir,

                      Issue:
                      The 7:15pm Lingampalli to Kacheguda MMTS reached Kacheguda at 9:15pm (delay of 1 hour) instead of 8:15pm, due to which we missed 9:00pm train to Bangalore (starts at Kacheguda to Yeshwantpur train), along with me about 150-200 people also missed the same train to Bangalore.

                      1. About 100 people among who missed train to Bangalore reached Kacheguda Station Master office for help and to lodge complaint, They said it is our mistake, we reached late, they cannot help.
                      2. There Railway securities took a video of all the people who gathered in their office
                      3. What I heard from one of their Security guard is that, this happens frequently and they got tired of controlling people.

                      How could we avoid this for future, so that people do not suffer in the situation like this.

                        Its pathetic to travel by indian railway. This time i was travelling from varanasi to New Delhi by Lichhavi express-14005. shedule departure 3.45 pm at varanasi. It reaches 5 hour late at varanasi Jn. Ahhh woes started there. When we broaded the train in AC2 compartment another surprise was waiting, Dirty and smelling compartment,litters everywhere, rats racing below the seat. Bathroom was hell dirty. Anyhow, because of absense of other option we have to manage it.
                        Real punishment started when train started moving. I am writing this complaints from the train itself ,It is standing for last 1.5 hour at at place just ahead of tundala station. why all train getting a pass by keeping this train stand still. Is our time is less precious than other who is broading on the train passing 14005 or have we paid less for AC2 on similar facility in other train. Is there any redressal process in place for my complaints.

                        I am going to miss my important meetings due to this late schedule of train. Why not i go to consumer court for this.

I am brought a tickets with my parent whose under senior citisen in ticket counter later 2 month before (90 days before jouney) and That ticket was waiting list (PNR No.[protected] and now Ticket was not confirm in more then two months also. I want to complaint to railway dept. for this insufficient behaviour with senior citzen that their tickets will not cofirming in 2 month.

                              Hi,

                              I have booked a ticket for 3 people from guntur to hyderbad and where one seat of mine is confirmed and the other 2 are in waitlist status for AC chair car and my copassengeres didn't travel as their seats are not confirmed and moreover no one can adjsut in AC chair car and waitlisted passengers are not supposed to travel as waitlisted e ticket will be invalid. When i asked TT he didn't even said anything about the certificate and he also said that refund will be done to my account automatically. I mentioned the same while filing TDR and it is almost more than 3 months and now the TDR is regreted. I don't know how to get the refund back. Help me in getting the refund.

                                I am regular commuter of Western Railway. I as travelling by Churchgate-Goregaon Local. But the problme is this local does not hault at Marine lines, charni Road and grant Road, even its empty in the morning. So I dont understand what is the purpose to run train directly from churchgate to Mumbai Cetnral. The commuters who stay at marin line to grant road area, thy have to go to either Mumbai central or to churchgate by slow local to catch this train which is waste of time. I request to railway authority that the morning Goregaon local from churchgate which is 8.46 am and 9.09am , please run slow form Churchgate to Mumbai central. Then from Mumbai Central onwards is ok as it run . Please look into the matter and do the neeful as that will be very convinient to the passenger who stay between Marine Lines and Grant Road.

                                  I am coming from dehradun to mathura in ddn-bdts exp & in this train in ac-2tier the attendents are do not given beddings to the passengers & the a.c is not properly working & attandants are arguing with passengers also.so kindly take appropriate action towards this problem.& another problem is of mumbai -ferozpur janta exp.the tte are not checking the train properly & the reserved passengers will suffer from lots of problems.they dont take berths from the unreserved passengers.& lots o[censored]nreserved passengers are suffering in sleepers.this is done daily between new delhi to ferozpur & mainly from ndls to jind jn.so kindly take appropriate action towards this problem.

                                    Hi ,

                                    My name is ratanpriya sharma and i was booking online tickets from https://www.irctc.co.in . I booked two tickets from delhi to shimla and shimla to delhi aswell. Between that there is not any direct train to shimla , so booked delhi to kalka railway station first and then kalka to shimla railway station. and did same for coming to delhi.Total i did transaction for delhi to kalka 1122 INR, kalka to simla 580 INR and Shimla to kalka 580 INR and Kalka to new delhi 1122INR. there should be four transaction for both the sides. however IRCTC site deduct 580 rupees extra, however i checked that there are only 4 set of tickets. The 580 rupees charged me more as per following transactions ids:[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected].

                                    there is not any fifth transaction id and i also booked 4 set of tickets then why additional 580 deducted from my credit card ?


                                    Please settle this as soon as possible my IRCTC user name is Ricksss.

                                      Indian railway had puted Advertisement Poster (Partially visible) on window of Rajdhani Express both running from Mumbai to New Delhi. Anyone travelling by these trains unable to see anything outside trin in the night and low visibility in the day time. Even someone want to see station name, he is unable to see.

                                      If Indian railway keen interested to put ad on train window either he close window why he putting window on compartment or put ad on train compartment other then window.

                                        I went to visit my sister at
                                        Rajkot and had given money to an authorised rail ticket booking agent to book my return tickets by navajeevan express for my wife, daughter and self for 8.10.2011. My agent booked the tickets for me in tatkal seva. i started my journey on the given date. near surat, one ticket collector saw my ticket and asked me to show identity proof, i produced my all india driving licence in original as proof, my wife and 8 year old daughter had no proof. So the ticket checker, charged Rs.2500/- towards penalty and defaced the ticket with remarks tickless travel. he further said that if i did not pay him he will push me to the unreserved coach. now i do not find any force in his argument , i had no option but to pay him the money. as per rules only one family member should have his identity proof. is this collection legal? He further challenged me that i can go to any forum but will not succeed. please help.
