I RESERVED A 2 TIER AC BIRTH FOR TRAVEL FROM LUCKNOW TO DHARWAD ON[protected]. ACCORDINGLY, I RESERVED FOR THE JOURNEY FROM DHARWAD AND PAID FARE OF RS.1935 & DETAILS OF TICKET ISSUED ON[protected] AT DHARWAD WERE AS UNDER:
(A) BJU-GWALIOR MAIL .. COACH A1 .. BERTH 29 (UPTO JHANSI)
(B) GOA EXPRESS ... COACH A2 .. BERTH 29

THE DETAILS OF PNR & TICKET NOS. ARE AS UNDER:

ALTHOUGH, I APPLIED FOR TICKET FROM LUCKNOW TO DHARWAD VIA JHANSI, WHILE ISSUING TICKET, THE CLERK HAD NEGLIGENTLY MENTIONED THE PLACE OF BOARDING (IN R/O GOA EXPRESS) AS H.NIZAMUDDIN INSTEAD OF JHANSI. THIS ASPECT WAS NOT NOTICED BY ME AT THAT TIME.

ACCORDINGLY, I TRAVELLED BY BJU-GWALIOR MAIL FROM LUCKNOW TO JHANSI ON[protected]. AT JHANSI, WHEN THE GOA EXPRESS ARRIVED, I OBSERVED THAT THE BERTH RESERVED FOR ME WAS ALLOTTED TO SOMEONE ELSE. WHEN I ENQUIRED THE SAME WITH TTE, HE SHOWED RUDE BEHAVIOUR AND DENIED ANY SEAT/BERTH.

THIS HAS RESULTED IN LOT OF INCONVENIENCE & MENTAL AGONY TO ME IN ADDITION TO FINANCIAL LOSSES. I AM OF THE VIEW, HAVING RECEIVED THE FULL AMOUNT, A PASSENGER SHALL NOT BE TORTURED FOR TECHNICAL ERRORS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER & TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE TTE WHO RUDELY ACTED WITHOUT LOOKING INTO THE REALTY OF THE SITUATION AND COMPENSATE ME.

Sub : Complaint against my reservation PNR No. B[protected] & B[protected]


We were coming back from Lalitpur to Kanpur with my family by Pushpak Express Train No. 2534 on 27.01.2009 vide my reservation ticket in sleeper class under PNR No B[protected] for three(3) birth RL WL/30, 31, 32 & other PNR No. B[protected] for one (1) birth RL WL/74 thus upto the last movement from journey start our reservation status under waiting list on 27.01.2009 .

With reference to the above, we entered in the train in schedule time 12:40 AM to start journey in sleeper class S-12 coach the coach was full. We request to TT on duty to provide any birth to us but he say he has no birth, we again contacted to TT at Jhansi to check Jhansi Cota and release us birth against my reservation if possible but he again say sorry as he had no birth after half (1/2) an hour approx 3:00 AM in mid night we again approach to same TT on duty than he provide me only two (2) birth No.39, 40 in S-7 Coach from Orai photo copy of the same ticket is enclosed for your perusal on which he has noted birth No. 39 & 40 in S-7 in his own writing. while more birth are available in Orai station. When we came to S-7 coach from S-12 coach in Orai station and saw the TT on duty have verbally allotted two birth to other persons in same coach birth No. 32 & 49 after taking Rs.150/ for each birth without any receipt and not provide any birth to us while we ware entitled for allotment on priority, you can understand at Midnight we have faced a lot of problems during the journey with my family.


Kindly Look in to the matter and take appropriate action against the said TT on duty, we shall feel oblige if you can take immediate action in the above matter and inform us about the same.

    i called to railway enquiry on 131 on 1 november at 11.35 pm in Muzaffarnagar (up)to know about train arrival's time but Mr s.p.singh (as per told by him)picked phn n talked badly .he misbehaved with me.he said how can i tell u, why have you called at this time, many more things .

    i want you to take some action against him.

      I took a 2nd Class AC ticket on North East Express (Train no 2505) going from Guwahati to Allahabad on the 11th of October, 2008. My ticket number is 64387164 and PNR number is[protected]. I paid Rs.1466 for the ticket. Due to some problems, my ticket was downgraded to 3rd Class AC. The ticket collector told me to get a refund from Allahabad station.

      On 22nd October, I went to Allahabad station to get a refund for the ticket (the difference of the cost between the 2nd class and 3rd class ticket). I went to the booking counter and they told me to go to the reservation counter. After waiting in line for over an hour, I was told by the person in the reservation counter to go to another booking office. I then went to the office and the person told me to meet someone in another booking counter. The guy inside that counter told us to go to reservation counter. I stood in line for a long time and when I finally got to the front, I was told to go to yet another counter. I then went and stood in line for a long time and when I finally got to the front, the person told me to go to the booking counter where I had previously gone. The person told me that he will not refund me the money because I was too late and should have gone earlier.

      I got fed up at this point and went home. Are they telling me the truth or just trying to frustrate me? What should I do to get my money back?

        I HAD REACHED THE KANPUR RAILWAY STATION WITH MY FAMILY (WIFE AND 2 DAUGHTER)TO CATCH THE 2302 DN KOLKATA RAJDHANI EXPRESS ON 29TH OCTOBER 2008.
        THE TRAIN WAS SCHEDULED ON PLATFORM NO 6. SO WE ALSO WAITING ON PLATFORM NO 6 FOR THE TRAIN. BUT SUDDENLY OUR TRAIN REACHED AT PLATFORM NO5 WITHOUT ANNOUNCEMENT. (PLATFORM NO 5 AND 6 ARE NOT JOINED PLARFORM)
        WE ARE LUCKY TO CATCH THE TRAIN AT THE LAST MINUTES BY RUNNING WITH HEAVY LUGGAGE WITH SOME ACCIDENT WITH OTHER PASSANGER.

        NOW MY QUESTION IS IT RIGHT TO CHANGE THE PLATFORM OF RAJDHANI EXPRESS(VIP TRAIN) WITH OUT PRE ANNOUNCEMENT.
        WE ARE LUCKY TO CATCH THE TRAIN BUT MANY OF OUR COPASSENGER COULD NOT CATCH THE TRAIN.

        I HAVE ALREADY MEET THE STATION MASTER AND ANNOUNCEMENT INCHARGE(MR MISHRAJI) REGARING THIS MATTER. BUT I DID NOT GOT
        APPROPRIATE ANSWER.

        SO MY REQUEST TO RAILWAY MANAGEMENT TO TAKE ACTION REGADING PLATFORM CHANGE ON THAT DAY WITHOUT PRE ANNOUNCEMENT.
        I THING IT IS REQUIRE TO KEEP FAITH ON RAILWAY.

        Indian Railway — Last minute Platform Changing

        Dear sir

        Railway is playing game with the life of the passengers by the way of
        last minute changing of platform after displaying it on the diaplay boards at the
        entrance of the concerned station.
        Please refer the Train No.12633/Kanaykumari Exp.
        On 26th June at Tiruchchirapli(TPJ) station even at 22.00 hrs the
        Platfrom no. was shown as 4.The coach position indication disply also shown as Platform no.4
        I along with my aged mother 70YRS & other family members were waiting
        at the P. NO.4 for the train.Ticket PNR Nos.[protected] &[protected](one ticket
        was taken from MLMR QUOTA).BUT at Plat form no.4 at that time another
        exp train to Rameswaram was halting for a long period.
        Later we heard announcement that the train 12633 is arriving at Platfrom No.3
        Along with my family including very old lady & luggages I had to run
        throgh the sub way to reach Plat form NO.3..We felt utmost deparate & more over
        the coach position indicating display board also not working
        there at Platform No.3..Terrible task to find the B1&B3 coatches..Last minute we alight the train cursing our fate & of course the irresponsibilyty of the
        official at that Station.
        Please note that Last minute platform chages causes heavy
        rush,stampades & major accidents.
        So the authorties may kindly look in to the matter & fix the
        responsibility of the officials..

          I had booked ticekt for my family on 21.10.2008 from Secunderbad to Lucknow for dated 28.11.2008 vide Transaction ID no [protected] under PNR no [protected] which is sent through you vide courier no[protected] dated 21.10.2008, but till time ticket is not delivered at our home.

            Honourable Sir,

            I am a resident of Kulpahar (Dist Mahoba, U.P.) and a Doctor by profession. I have been traveling through U.P. Sampark Kranti, Train No. 2447 quiet frequently. All the time I suffered with lots of problems here at the railway station kulpahar because of the Railway Employees of different Cadres like Station Master and Running staff of the train i.e. the conductor of the A.C. Coach and the attendant.
            Sir, Kulpahar is the Tahsil Headquarter of Dist. Mahoba having a Population of around 40 -45 Thousand along with the Biggest Missionary Church of the area. The station is on the other side of the town. We the resident of whole area wants the platform on the town side which is already sanctioned since last 16 years. Kindly notice.
            Sir, This time that is on 29th of October I was traveling with a E.Ticket, PNR No.[protected] From Kulpahar to Nizamuddin in A.C. 2 tier. I requested on behalf of the co travelers traveling towards delhi after holiday, to ASM kulpahar to manage the Jhansi –Banda Passenger train(train no. 215 down) on the Main Line as it was coming before to U.P.Sampark Kranti ( as this is a single track section and crossing takes place on stations only) so that train no. 2447 may be taken on the loop line for the convenience of the reserve passengers. But the ASM ignored it .It created
            lots of nuisance with the passengers having reserve tickets in finding out their different reserve bogies. I being a cardiac patient along with my pregnant wife did
            faced the same. The Major Problem I faced was the behavior of the Conductor Mr.S.K.Gaur and theAttandant Mr.Babulal who did not open the door although we were shouting outside with our tickets, telling that we are a bonafied passenger of the A.C .2 Tier. He opened the door and shut it again. Then when the train was just about to move both of them discussed something and finally opened the door .It was a risk on my life in boarding a running train while standing between two trains .Please also note that the train staff was drunk at that time.
            May I pray you to have an amendment for the important trains to be taken on the platform only specially in night hours .Sir, unfortunately it is not the first time when incidences like this happening, almost all the times we face the same problem.
            Several times the big authorities like DRM and other were requested by the public to manage the same . This time also I longed a complain in train’s complaint book & with station suprentendent at Nizamuddin rly station copy of which is with me.

            Kindly do the needful as it is being repeated again and again.

              Dear sir
              i don, t know some one will take action against this misshaping or not but i want to make it clear the incident was so much shocking that i can, t abide that and i will cross my limit to give proper result for the corruption of Mr. P K Tiwari(TTE).
              this incident happened on 24th of October before the occasion of diwali.i was coming to lucknow by Kaifiyat express(train no: 2226).i was having reservation by irctc but waiting list number 9.my two friends were with me 2 seats were confirmed and one was waiting.we tree guys were using 2 seats only.i was waiting for TTE for confirmation of seats.but at 2 am mr. p. k. tiwari came and start talking rudely that your ticket is not confirmed and you can, t stay in sleeper compartment.He said GAVE ME 200 RUPEES then i will permit you to sit in this sleeper coach.i was shocked i was also having ticket but he was asking for 200 rupees as a bribe.i request many times this is wrong but he was not ready to hear me after that i denied to give him bribe then he said now you will have to pay 210 fare and 250 penalty and started crying rudely.I note down his name and give him 460 rupees again to sit is sleeper compartment he said"" agar chup chap 200 de diye hote to aram se chale jate"" .Any way i don, t believe o offer bribe.But tell me onething i paid 275+460=730 rupees from nizamddin to lucknow.

              Madam,
              Hi, I m writing this letter to inform u about the corruption Ticket checker they use bad languages take the money and not giving acknowledge slip and use abuse languages I have the Card No of the TC A002418
              and the Name his Sevak Ganpat kore It is happen in Mahim station at 12.15 PM and he give bad word to me and push me. I[censored] r not take serious action against him. I m working add agency i will brought all the media agency

              Also in Dhanbad express from Allapi to Dhanbad, TTE are more worst. They simply collect money from the general ticket passengers and allow them to sit in the Sleeper compartments. I often travel in the train and I always see TTE collecting minimum of Rs 100 and allowing general ticket passengers in sleepers. In this way TTEs are earning money and are getting money in their pockets instead of government account.

              In the case of reservation in train waiting list passengers will not get reserwation but people who buy general ticket and give some money to TTE, their ticket will be conformed. So i request people who are sincere and dedicated to nation, please try to oppose this type of situations. Government personals are there to serve the people not to be served by people.

              All the railway tarrifs are to be well understood by the people to fight against this type of situation.
              i have thought of a solution to this problem of corruption in indian railways. having a display in the rac bogie that provides the list of rac pupil who deserve a seat is something of which i was thinking of. though expensive i think this is the only possible and feasible solution to a dampening situation like this. ensuring that tte's not entertained to any such seat vacancy information would offer him zero scope for corruption.the need for such a solution would depend on the intensity of the problem. so could anyone mail me about the essentiality of an expensive solution like this.

                I am a frequent traveler by Indian Railways.The complaint is for the date: 29th Oct, 2008, my PNR no. [protected]. Place: Nangal Dam Station (NLDM).

                I got e-ticket done through irctc and my seat was confirmed as C-1/73 (AC) in train Jan Shatabdi Express(2058) from NLDM to NDLS.

                The boogie C-1 had only 70 seats and it was a fault with irctc or the Railways. The booking supervisor on the NLDM station misbehaved and harassed me so much. He had already seen my name as confirmed in the chart yet he said that I have typed the ticket on computer my self and have brought it here for refund. Blamed me for forgery and also said that I may not get a seat at all.

                Is this the way, female passengers are to be beleaguered and besieged by the railways staff. Who is to take responsibility for it? Is this the treatment to be given to a passenger who is traveling via a confirmed seat?

                Kindly take it into consideration.

                Otherwise I shall have to lodge a complaint in consumer forum or media.

                  Gold ornaments to the tune of Rs. 2, 00, 000 Approx. (Rupees Two Lakhs) have been stolen from my suit case as I had gone to Mumbai for celebrate Durga Pooja. I boarded the train at Panvel (Navi Mumbai) in Sampark Kranti Express (Train No. 2653) vide PNR No.[protected] for New Delhi. Probably this theft might have taken within Nizamuddin and New Delhi Railway station as three-four persons entered in the compartment at Nizamuddin Railway Station and they asked that the train will stop for two minutes and keep your luggage ready at the Gate. They encircled my wife and mother-in-law. No other valuable is found to have been stolen except the gold ornaments.
                  Therefore I have lodge my complaint to Police Station: Railway Station, New Delhi under IPC Act 1860
                  I hope somebody will be able to bring this control and the staff who are involved are brought to task

                  This is very unfortunate and these type of incident occours in Indian trains frequently.
                  Indian railways will be the world longest and fantastic deparments..
                  We have gone through the same experiance . While travelling from Mumbai to Darbhanha on 9.7.09 in two tier A.c., there were only two of my family members upto Manmad. Gold worth Rs. 1.5 lac is stolen from briefcae & no other articles were stolen. we suspect the Pantry staaf.

                  I was travelling in Mumbai for Training purposes, from 15/08/2010, On 29/08/2010, i had went from Kharghar to Kurla to meet my friend. Late evening, at around 06 pm while returning from Kurla Railway Station, 3-4 persons trapped me and snatched my Gold Chain worth Rs 35,000/- and got disappeared. I consulted one of the Police staff on duty at Kharghar, who told me that he can't help me out as i need to go to Kurla again to lodge a complaint.

                  I being into service and new in Mumbai, could not afford to go again to lodge a complaint.

                  Now what should i do?
                  Myself, Rajan Dhir, from Chandigarh had come to Mumbai on 15th August 2010, for Training purposes to newly joined Co., when my Gold Chain was snatched from Kurla Railway Station, worth Rs 35, 000/-, when i boarded on train on 29th August 2010, at 06.10 pm, from Kurla Station to Kharghar Station. Three Four persons trapped me, in a way that 2 of the persons pushed me from back, and one of them snatched the chain and got disappeared.
                  Consulted the police officials, but in vain. Was a very bitter kind of experince in Local trains.
                  I think Police is not in proper action to put a control on such mishaps.

                    This complaint is regargding the railway station at Gandhidham. When ever the morning train is arriving the Station master is allocating it to 2nd no platfrom. Instead it must be allocated 1st no platform.

                    The passenger face lot of difficulties they need to walk a lot and carry their luggages . Even there are not enough number of coolies available on the platform.

                    Last time when I when into station master room and inquired why the train was allocated to 2nd no platfrom even if the 1st no platform was empty. They don't have any valid reason for this, just said that the respective train is dedicated to 2nd no platform only.

                    Come on this is ridiculous railways are running trains for the facility of passenger and not to harass them. Just because of some stupid station master who has decided not to allocate morning trains to 1st no platform even if it is empty.

                    In my opinion this must be changed immediately so as to facilitate passenger from walking long distance on platforms. Subject to availability of empty platforms.

                    Kindly take strict actions against the same.

                    On bandra station on platform no 4, i saw a break in the track and the train is still passing from that track. As may be railway authority must be aware about the same but i just want to convey my message to them. This is not the complain but i just want draw attention to the autority only. So please look in to the matter and convey my message to them.

                      Indian Railway dont know what punctuality is? Hundreds of man hour is lost in waiting for the trains. Generally wrong information is given at the enquiry counters. Misbehaviour by the Railway staff is common. People fear to enquire.
                      Announcement of late running is accompanied with a phrase " Inconvinience caused to passenger is regretted". I think as per Right to information every passenger has got right to know the cause of late running of trans so I request the railway authority to inform the cause of Late running of the Trains in there announcement. Most of the late running of the train is due to negligience of Railway Staff and the protection by the act.

                      It also happens with us while waiting for HNH-6 from NZM to NZM, generally it announce that the train is late for 15 minutes which continues to one hour and subsequent cancellation thereon. It appears that the railway authorities saving their personnels and creating problems to daily commuters which is all against the law and ethics of the railway authorities. Despite of several complaints made thereon, no positive or fruitful result has been arisen from the railway authorities. If Rly. authorities listen to our complaint they are requested to please issue necessary instructions to the concerns to avoid unnecessary harassment to the daily commuters. As such there is no alternative trains are available from NZM to New Delhi onward. Kindly look into the matter. Regards

                      My name is Saurabh Raizada & I'm very proud of my country because of it's services. But this is to inform that my pride was hit severely yesterday that is on 11th of October seeing the condition of Indian Railway System. I booked an e-ticket for my brother Mr.Gaurav Raizada in Train no.2271,i.e, LKO-NDLS Duranto Express, pnr no.[protected], transaction id [protected]. I had heard that this is the the latest & also a non-stop, super fast train launched by our honourable Railway Minister Mamta Banerjee & is known for it's punctuality. The scheduled departure of the train was at 11:30 pm & since the train originates from lucknow we reached there within time. The train arrived at the platform at around 12:45 am & left the station at around 2:15 am. It reached New Delhi at about 11:00 am rather than it's scheduled arrival which is around 7:30 am. So it's my request to the Indian Railways to please consider my complaint & not loose the faith of their customers so that we can remain proud of Indian Railways which is called the "Life line of India".

                      Train no 14005 (SMI- ANVT) always running late. Frustrated traveling in this train. This train Siwan jn (11-may-16) 01 hrs late but reached ALJN (12-May-16) 05 hrs late. Why sir... You pick the previous one month report of the destination station (ANVT). You find the reason. Please find the problem.

                      My name is Boniface and I am a daily passenger who avails the railway transport system. I leave for Ernakulam in the morning and reach back in the evening. I daily wait at the station for the train 56371 Guruvayur Ernakulam Passenger... which is to reach the station at Divine Nagar in Kerala by 07:50 a.m. Nevertheless, the train always arrives only after 08:00 a.m. In the evening I return by train 56364 Ernakulam Shornur Passenger which should depart at 17:35. Right now as I am writing this comment, already the train departed 3 mins late. Added to this, is the haltdown at subsequent stations to let other trains pass is also annoying. Another problem which i have seen with the Indian Railway Stations is cleanliness and hygiene. No station is found to be clean and devoid of foul smell. The boogies are also rather shabby, no proper lighting, no proper fans or powe outlets and the toilets... are just a nightmare. It is like crawling into a grave after digging through. I just dont know why are the authorities concerned not taking any actions to improve the system.

                        I travelled from Madurai to Chennai by Pandian Superfast Express on 18/10/2008 by 3-tier sleeper class. I have few points with respect to recently introduced 3-tier in side berths. I hope Railways take required action to take care of the same.
                        1. No more sitting is possible in the side lower berth.
                        2. The middle berth comes right at the middle of the window and hence opening or closing window is a problem. If it is raining, by the time one realizes and closes the window, the lower berth would have got totally wet (I had this experience).
                        3. Side middle & upper berth hardly get any air from the fan because the window is blocked and is available only to the lower berth
                        4. Fan & Light switches are not visible and they are behind the middle berth. If one has to operate the same, the passenger in the middle / lower berth has to be disturbed. Imagine a lady sleeping there and you try put on / off light / fan there is every possibility of hand landing up in a wrong place and could cause an embarrassment to all
                        5. Reaching upper berth is real challenge. Your head will certainly hit the light fitting or fan cover and you cannot help it. Only children below 12 years can sleep in the upper / middle berth.

                        I really doubt the person who suggested this has ever travelled by train or must be an official who only travel by 2nd or 1st AC compartments. It is horrible. In fact quite a lot of other passengers also shared the same concern and they really go hard on TTEs. What can the poor TTEs do on this?

                        I request the Indian railway authorities to evaluate this from the point of passenger convenience and not just from the point of increasing revenue to Railways.

                        I completely agree .I also had BAD (hrrible) experence with the middle side berth .Railways started treating Passengers and Goods in a same way ..

                        Hope government will look at this and this 3 berth system will get scrapped soon .
                        I do agree with Sreeram and GyanBhat.
                        Well Railways is able to add 10 berths to very SL coach but created more trouble to the passengers. Especially to the aged. Imagine, how difficult it is for them to get into that slot.
                        Moreover, the Reservation system is also modified to this extent One has to verify his/her berth as per the pasted chart on the bogie, else we had it.

                        Why can't the system be modified, before they plan to introduce such changes???? Sure, that is is a tough job, hence they neer touched on the changes in reservation system.

                        Just unable to understand, how this can be taken to the notice of IR Management ????
                        I also faced this problem during my trip to Chennai from Bangalore. The train I went to Chennai starts at 11 from Bangalore. All the passengers started sleeping as soon as they got in top the train. All the passengers are disturbed after half an hour by the TTE for checking tickets and eventually TTE shifted all the passengers. This made a big uncomfortable event to the small kids and elderly people.
                        The wise guy who has suggested this NEW SEATING Arrangement should be made to travel atleast a 1 day journey on the side -upper berth n he will come to know wat passengers go through. Its a pathetic suggestion. Who knows tomorrow railways will put a mat under the lower berths n ACCOMODATE people there too just for INCREASING THE REVENUES. Railways has more or less started to treat people like GOODS. I hope this decision is curbed soon.

                        I too faced similar problems on several occassions. This seating arrangement is worse not only passenger comfort is concerned, but also on safety aspect . If some mishap occurs, no one can have access to the emergency windows, ironically, placed next to the unwanted side middle bearths. The railway board/minister should take note of these things immediately.
                        Dear friend I am designer of the train passenger coach .I too strongle agree with ur opinion, but do u know that this arrangement is suggested by r.laloo prasad yadav, who is said to be a tallented railway minister, bot as foolish as local vendoe who want to make only profit in spite of name and satisfaction from passenger.

                        Hey Guys, NO THIS IS MAKING ME THINK Seriously. I have already booked my tickets in AC 3 Tier for Kolkata from Hyderabad in Falaknama EXP. I have a small kid and no I am thinking what to do. Though there in my ticket both the berths are LOWER, however not sure if there will be any problems with the sitting arrangements when I board the train.

                        The inclusion of new berths in the side-row of the sleeper coaches by The Railways add discomforts to the passengers. The positions of all the three side berths are not so comfortable that even one can’t sit on the any of the berth when laid, if one wants to take something in. In addition to the fleets one has to do, the SU berth person has to suffer from suffocation and the radiation of the heat where one cannot find any provision of ventilation there. One has no other option, other than passing the night on the bed suffering. It shows the great interest of The Railways in laying the berths but its lack ness providing ventilation or even in changing the position of the fan, which was fitted previously to meet the then SU berth position. Secondly, in case of exigencies, the Emergency Windows are of no use, because a lot much of time will lapse in searching for the misted emergency exit and to close the new SM berth. The Railways has to reconsider the issue urgently and should expedite in removing the greedy-berths. It should not act as a monopoly, but, also honour the minimum comfort needed by a passenger. There should be equal comfort ness for equal amount paid by the passenger
                        It is very horrible to travel on Side Upper seat.
                        i completly agree with this point. its simply a uncomfetable in middle birth. i experiencd it when i was return from balsad to indore by avntika exp. whole night i was awake in 3rd ac. its to remove from ac class.
                        Totally agree with the above complaint..
                        The Side Lower berth used to be my first choice while making a train reservation but it's no more.
                        After the railways have added one middle berth between the side berths the whole comfort is completely lost rather the journet becomes more hectic and annoying. Also you can't put your luggage below the lower side berth as it is too low and you can sit comforatbly on upper side berth as it is too high.

                        Please take back your decision of adding middle berth between the two side berths !!!

                          I have to bring to your kind notice that I sent my person to Rudrapur City Reservation Counter on 3/10/08 with the duly filled-up Reservation forms by me for my family's forthcoming train journeys by II sleeper as detailed below:

                          The booking clerk instead of booking required no. of births for the above (a)2+ (b)1+ (c)2+ (d)1 = 6 nos of birth, booked 8 no.births. When my person came back with the tickets this descrepancy was noticed by me. As I incurred a financial loss of Rs.364/-, therefore I immediately rushed to Reservation Counter. The same booking clerk was present on the counter. When I brought the descrepancy to his notice and requested him to return the excess amount by modifying the tickets as filled- up by me in the Reservation Forms, he asked me to get cancelled the extra 2 tickets issued by him. I did not agree to it and argued with him that why shall I bear the Cancellation Charges due to his fault. He did not agree at all and finally I was constrained to tell him that in case he does not modify the tickets at his end, I will complain to the Higher Authorities of Railways, against which he said " You go to Railway Minister. Mera woh bhi kuch nahin bigad sakta hai" Finally I had no option except to leave the Reservation Counter.

                          I am bringing the matter to your kind notice with a request to please arrange for the refund of Rs. 364/- to me charged by the Railways due to the fault of Reservation Clerk at Rudrapur City.

                            1. he didnot show me any paper of tariff plan of airtel company. He totally deal verbaly.
                            2. He said, that you will be charged 202 as rental per month & you will get 200 minutes free.
                            3. If you will not use the phone you will get bill amount nil
                            After 1st bill of mobile i notice that the bill is not as per his commitment. then i contect to Mr. hiren .
                            Mr. Hiren said that
                            4. He should get it orrected through his boss.
                            5. If it should not be done by company he should give a cheque from his account to pay the bill.
                            6. I request him that i cannot afford this bill so please disconnect my connection, He promise to me to do so.
                            I couldnot get not a single apportinuty which was committed by Mr. Hiren
                            Mr. Hiren misguide & Mispleaded me & give me this connection for his personnel interest.
                            Now i am getting calls from Airtel for payment. While i have paid my acual uses amount keeping in hand the disputted amount
                            I requested to costumercare to disconnect my connection so that further charges couldnot be levied on me but no one had listrn my problem, My connection is still live . i requested to solve the matter but no action was taken till date.
                            The airtel company is doing his business through the persons having no responsibility. They got there target making fool to the costumer, They hand over the costumer to the ompany & then company will any how got the payment.
                            I talk several time to the executives of compamy & i found that no one says that Mr. Hiren is on wrong path, He may do so. I can say with confidence that the company knowingly doing so, only aiming to increase the no. of customers.
                            I request that remaining bill should be recover from Mr. Hiren. Thats over.

                              Me & my wife travelled by 2301 Calcutta Rajdhani Express on the 6th of October 2008, from Howrah to New Delhi, by AC-3 Tier, coach no. BE-1, holding confirmed tickets, (PNR[protected]. Our seat numbers were 8 and 24.

                              There was a group of 8 members, travelling in the same coach (i.e. BE-1) on the same date (i.e. 6th of October 2008), by the same train (i.e. 2301), who had only two confirmed berths, berth number 3 and berth number 4. The six other members were holding waitlisted tickets. Before the train started from Howrah, there was an announcement over the public address system inside the train that passengers whose tickets were not shown as confirmed after preparation of the chart were being requested to get down from the train and not to occupy berths/seats reserved for passengers holding confirmed tickets.

                              However, after the train started, this above mentioned group of 8 members continued to travel in the train in spite of holding only two confirmed berths. The TTE inspected their tickets and did not raise any objection in this regard. Rather, the TTE suggested that the 6 additional members holding waitlisted ticket adjust themselves in the seats along with other passengers and continue their journey to their destination. These extra waitlisted passengers were provided with full catering services and bed linen by the pantry staff and coach attendant respectively. Though I held a confirmed seat (no. 8), I could not sit on my seat comfortably as these excess passengers were occupying my seat. I was very surprised when I saw the TTE visit the coach just before the train reached New Delhi station and enquire these waitlisted passengers whether they had a comfortable journey or not.

                              I was extremely dis-satisfied as my journey was very uncomfortable. I raised objection and demanded for the Complaint Book, first from the Coach Attenadant. The Coach Attendant never took any interest in my verbal complaint. Instead, he asked me to talk to the TTE. Next, I asked for the Complaint Book from the TTE. He too ignored my verbal complaint and did not give me the Complaint Book, even though I demanded for the same to be obtained from the Train Superintendant.

                              My complaints are, how can excess passengers, holding waitlisted tickets be allowed by the TTE to travel in the most prestigious train like Rajdhani Express ? How can waitlisted passengers avail of free pantry services and bed-linen while travelling in such a prestigious train ? And, why as a genuine passenger, holding a confirmed ticket, was not provided with the Complaint Book both by the Coach Attendant and the TTE ? Why did I have to travel uncomfortably, inspite of holding a confirmed ticket, my seat being occupied by waitlisted passengers ?

                              I am sorry to hear your story. However, it is the majority of the society of India which is very selfish and thinks only for himself. Don't blame the TTE, he is also amongst us. Blame those fellow Indian travellers who were being so selfish.. It's the society which needs to change full stop!!! Cheers

Actually there is no direct train from nagpur to solapur but one sleeper coach of maharashtra express is connected to mumbai chennai mail at daund and goes to solapur.As this is the last coach in train most of the public possessing unreserved tickets travel in this coach sometimes there is no TTE present in coach, there is no proper watersupply in toilets in coach, beggers smokers railway staff possesing passes (railway mazdoors) who have no permission to travel in reserved coaches misbehaves with public.sometimes the condition of coach becomes more miserable after akola station. We have several times filed complaints against this condition so condition has slight improved till bhusaval but after bhusaval the condition becomes same again so i want that railway should do something for this coach of maharashtra express from nagpur to solapur .

                                Recently I travelled from Howrah to Kathgodam and back in Bagh exp 3020/19. The time taken by the train is too much for the distance covered. Its slow and stopping at lot of places unnecessarily. for eg departure time from Jamtara is 0615 hrs and arrival time to next station Chittaranjan only 14 km away is 0734 hrs. I would request you to look into the matter to curtail the travelling time, because its the only train connecting Kolkata with Kumaon region. this will make the train more popular with the tourists as well as other passengers.

                                I travelled from Amroha to Moradabad regularly and returned in this exp named Una Himachal 4556/4555. The time taken by the train is too much for the distance covered. Its slow and stopping at lot of places unnecessarily. for eg departure time from Amroha station is 0905 hrs and arrival time to next station Moradabad only 34 km away is 10.10 hrs. Is it possible that all the passengers train running on the same track are taking only 00.45 to 01.00 hrs to reach their destination i.e from Amroha to Moradabad while Exp 4555/4556 is taking more then one hrs? Please tell me why the people should travelled in the exp instead of passengers while there is a huge difference in the fare of exp and passengers trains.I would request you to look into the matter to curtail the travelling time, because there are few train which connect Amroha to Moradabad in morning time. This will make the train more popular with the passengers. Further i request to Railway authorities to make the stoppage of the train no. 0517/0518 spl train named Delhi to Lalkuan at Amroha station as Amroha is a district headquater and Amroha is only connected with the train route not by highway. This is a big problem with the people of Amroha (J.p.Nagar). Amroha pays a huge revenue to the railway as number of passengers travelled by train. If you do that i am requesting, you will raise the revenue and the object of the train will fulfill.

                                  This is really surprising policy of indian railway where the the wait-list e -ticket will be automatically cancelled after chart preparation. At the last moment when you are hoping for best, if the odds are against you...you might be without ticket in minutes. When e-ticket facility is given for passenger easiness and make them comfortable with the use of latest technology, Lot o[censored]s are suffering bad side of this. Thanks to Indian railway. I strongly feel this policy should change, and an alternative solution has to be provided. Because suppose we are getting W/L 10 by internet booking, we are hoping it will get confirmed after chart preparation...but surprised to see if it not confirmed we are without ticket as ticket is automatically cancelled.

                                  I urge INDIAN RAILWAY to please consider this policy and change it soon by using latest and managed softwares for people who don't have other choice rather that travelling on same day at any condition.

                                  Indian Railway Online ticket — No ticket even after payment

                                  I booked a Mumbai season ticket by first class on 07/01/2008 over IRCTC with payment by direct debiting from bank. Even though the cost of was debited to my bank account I have neither the ticket nor the refund so far. Is this what wailway is serving?
                                  This is not only cheating but also fooling.
                                  I made several complaints for the rerund. But I have been receiving the reply that we are looking into this or we have instructed the bankers to refund.

                                  this is not the 1st experience with the IRCTC.

                                  I think some must move against the railways against this.

                                  I got one mail from Indian Railway about the transaction and insure that the Debuted amount will be Credit in my account within 4 to 5 working days. But it not credit in my account still yet.

                                  Indian Railways — Refund on AC not working

                                  We were moving on 6th June 2008 from Faizabad to Delhi ( 3AC) ( Train No 4205...Delhi Faizabad express) with our family comprising of my father( aged 64 years), mother, brother( Sqn Ldr Punit Chawla, IAF), bhabi, my wife and 2 nephews( aged 5 and 1 year). A person travels in AC coach to get all the comforts. It was unfortunate enough that AC stopped working at around 12 in the night and being the doors closed it caused suffocation. The worst part of it was that attendant was sleeping with full masti and had to be really dragged to wake up. When asked about it he said "AC to kharab tha jab train chali thi and mushkil sey repair hua tha". I asked about complaint register and he was clever enough to bring the AC complaint register. We made our entry in that with a few more passenger to follow. The train kept on moving with kids crying and a complete caous all around. The at Moradabad station a few guys climbed up to repair the AC and went down abusing the attendant. Then after lots of efforts TTE appeared and was good enough to handle the situation and gave everyone the vouchers to claim refund. We were to get down at Gaziabad, so asked him from where we can get the refund. He told us to get it from Delhi station anytime within 5 days.
                                  The story takes a turn when we go to Delhi station on Tuesday. The guys there are arrogant like anything and they behave ina complete illiterate manner. They told we can't get refund after 48 hours. When asked again and again to accept the voucher and forward it they say" we are not concerned with TTE in train"
                                  What's this?
                                  No one is ready to take responsibility and above all they behave in such a manner with an officer of Indain Air Force and and myself Chartered Accountant. Even they dont consider talking properly to an elderly person, my father.
                                  With Commonwealth games coming to Delhi is this the manner the railways is going to behave with guests. Its our country and atleast it can be ensured guys like these dont behave this manner to our guests and rules and regulations are made clear to the entire staff beforehand. We need to believe it our home"our country". It can be ensured by punitive approach ot reformative approach.

                                  e-ticket-indian railways — erroneous ticket issued

                                  I booked an e-ticket through an agent bearing pnr no-[protected] in which the date of journey was clearly mentioned as 12-07-08. The ticket was confirmed. However, the date of boarding was mistakenly printed as 13-07-08. Before taking the train on 12-07-08, I talked to the railways officials about this mistake and they told me that I could safely travel since the date of journey and date of boarding are as a rule same, and if these differed in my ticket, it was a printing error. But when I boarded the train, it turned out that my ticket was invalid, as it was meant for 13-07-08. The T.C. asked me to get down at 4:00 A.M. on the boarding station as my berth was alloted to somebody else.
                                  Not only did I have a tough time, coming from home at 3:00 A.M and going back in wee hours but I also missed out on an important assignment only due to the negligence of railways.
                                  Railways need to respond to my problem and refund the amount of ticket without any deductions.

                                  Indian Railways — Speed Train Charge

                                  Dear Sir/Madam,
                                  This is question about the Charge made for the Newly introduced train 2297 - MS SALEM EXP. This train include the Superfast Charge, but its always one hour delay by the expected time to the destination and even though if it covers the distance at time[Still now it had not happened], the time taken to reach the destination is more or less equal to the time taken by the Yercaud Express. Also, while comparing to yercaud express, mostly the time taken by this train in more. I don't think this train deserves a Superfast Charge. Kindly verify that its deserves the Superfast Charge.

                                  sir, it is shockingly surprising to see that if i fill full station name ur online site is not displaying the required information instead i have to toss and select few alphabets from the station, which obviously is not possible, then i may approach the required information .
                                  ur system regarding trains between stations is not working for 5 days now . i dont know weather u people care t o chech ur system ever.

                                  Technically it is right thing to do. If your ticket is still wait-listed after chart preparation then you are without ticket anyway!
                                  Problem here is the TC in the train do not have any info of waitlisted tickets and hence cannot verify if your ticket is cancelled or not. So by-default all WL e-tickets are considered to be cancelled. Otherwise the passenger can say I haven't cancelled the ticket yet, but someone can cancel your ticket on behalf of you while you are fighting with TC in the train! Whereas in paper tickets you have to return the ticket while cancelling and you cannot travel without ticket!
                                  It also helps in need for manual cancellation by the passenger.

                                  Indian Railway — Booking Done inspite the train being cancelled

                                  I booked e-ticket for the train number 0803 with PNR number:-[protected] Transaction ID :- [protected], Journey from VSKP to MYS on[protected].I booked this ticket on[protected].I confirmed from railway enquiry that the train is cancelled long before, even though the train is cancelled why the ticket booking is permitted . And I did not get my Refund Amount Back for This.Please go through the PNR information and check the details .
                                  I agree that the waitlisted ticket is automatically cancelled is a nice feature but it carries many loopholes too.
                                  For a case ... I had booked a e-ticket for a morning train (11:30 AM) & was panning to cancel it if the status was not confirmed by 8 am in the morning(before chart preparation...) as I had another very expensive but confirmed option of traveling.
                                  When I checked status one night prior to my journey date, it was still waitlisted and chart status was Prepared. This meant i cannot cancel the e-ticket, as the chart is already preapred...
                                  Train is next day at 11 am, My ticket is waitlisted & i wanted to cancel my ticket approx 10 hours before departure(from source station)... But I couldn't... wasnt that stupid...

                                  There is an option of filing online TDR for such cases... as informed by railways care (24 hour customer support)... i clicked on that link. This displays some booked tickets earlier. Ironically... this doesnt list the ticket/pnr which we want to cancel...

                                  Nothing can be done till 2 days... system doesnot show that ticket... since this is an e-ticket...we cant go to railway station to cancel it...
                                  This system rigourously needs improvements in design ...
                                  Even if we file TDR after 2 days of journey, no one knows will there be any refund or not...

                                  Moreover Why should I file a TDR if i want to cancel my waitlisted ticket 10 hours prior to journey time... It should simply cancel it & give benifit to other people in waitlist...
                                  You should take this matter in consumer court- and I am sure your case will be first and may be used as refference in future for such practice.
                                  This system is good.What happens if someone got waitlisted after chart prepared.He get inside the train and he travels as wating list passenger by adjsuting with some friends.Same time his friend cancelled the ticket online.So in that way he took 75% money back and completed his journey(atleast by standing)So Railway face a huge loss.This new rule After chart prepared still you are in waiting list you get back your money without cancel your ticket.100% moneyback

                                  There were 2 tickets booked against the above said reference and only one got confirmed on date of travel (which was in December-2008). I had done an e-filing of TDR on 24-Dec, 2008. Till date I have not received the refund. The status shown on the website remains as "Admin Approved; Refund under process" - for the past 2 months.

                                  I do not know who is the officer responsible for completing this task. After making many calls to Chennai, Delhi and then to Northern Railway, Delhi - I was told that some by name of Bhargava[protected] will be completing the task. Interestingly I have been trying this number for the past 2 months and no one picks the phone.

                                  I would appreciate if someone can help me in catching hold of these "babus" and in specific the person responsible for processing the TDR from the railways who do not execute their jobs responsibly and are scum of the society.

                                  I have send them lots of e-mails and called them. Everybody s saying that it will be credited soon but now they are even not responing to the queries. I am going to send them a legal notice from government and will file a duit against them

The ticket amount was Rs 206. On cancellation I had told money will be automatically reverted to my account. After 3 months I observed that only Rs 103 i.e half the amount was refunded.

                                  Instead of being practical, Why are you hoping that your waiting list ticket will get confirmed.The policy is plain and simple, If you don't have seat in the train, do not board it. and If you board it is at your risk. You want the policy to change, simple because you have got unconfirmed waiting list ticket. Imaging a situation where railways allows people with waiting list to board the train and you have got the confirmed list ticket. How crowded will it be if you were to make adjustments with waiting list people, will you adjust with them. I guess you may if there are less no. of people but when no. of people is of the size 100, will you then allow. Just ponder over it and think from both the sides before commenting on any policy change as policy is for the people who chose the right way always.

                                  I park my bike at the Chennai Central Station bike park area everyday evening (7:00 pm to 8:00 am)to board the train to Tiruvallur. For the past nine months, bike monthly pass (costing Rs.150/ per month) has not been issued to us hence causing us around Rs.360/ per month (at the time of parking in the evening - Rs.6/ and at the time of taking the vehicle the next day, Rs.6/-, for which no receipt is being issued.) . Kindly note that the above mentioned Rs.360/-(against Rs.150/ towards monthly pass) is costing us dearly since we belong to the middle income group and every hard-earned rupee is dear to us.

                                  i had to reach new delhi today ie on 3rd july 2009 as i had an urgent appointment with dotor.i had a reservation from bareilly in intercity express, but i was surprised to see that my coach c1 was cancelled without any prior notice.none of the passengers were were adjusted anywhere and there was nobody to provide any information.my aunt who is quite old was with me and there were many aged passengers who were harassed because of cancellation.this not done.atleast the passengers should have been adjusted somewhere or given a prior notice.this is a very irresponsible attitude of the railways.

                                  i booked a ticket from the site irctc.co.in on the date 12th Aug. 2009. the ticket was from PNBE to NDLS(PNR no.-[protected] and ID No. is [protected])
                                  The amount that should have been deducted is Rs. 1316. but they deducted the double amount. that means i paid double the cost of the ticket. at first i thought that it is a mistake and the extra amount will be added in my account within some days but it hasn't happenned yet.

                                  I have visited Karmali ( GOA ) Station for concellation of Ticket .
                                  But they claim that since i am not having HARD copy ticket they cannot cancelled the ticket .

                                  I had booked my eticket from Nagpur to Thane by Vidarbha Exp date of journey[protected],and by connecting training from Thane to Karmali ON[protected] by Mandovi express
                                  (PNR NO.[protected]). Vidarbha exp was scheduled to reach Thane at 0600 hrs and I was to get Mandovi exp at Thane at 0745hrs. But because Vidarbha exp reqached Thane 4.30 hrs late, I could not get my connecting train Mandovi exp. I approached to station master Thane to get the remark on my e-ticket for late arrival of Vidarbha exp. at Thane by 4.30 hrs., he told me that since mine was e-ticket he could not help me out and while my sone tried to cancel my Thane-Karmali on internet, he was getting the message continously that chart is prepared. Under these circumstances I could not cancell my ticket and had to bare a loss of ticket cost.
                                  Through this I would like to know whether is it possible to get back the amount of ticket and if it is so kindly inform the procedure.

                                  Indian Railway — auto cancellation of e-ticket

                                  w8ing list e-ticket should not be cancelled automatically. if some body dont want to journey he have to cancelled his ticket like i-ticket. there is no difference between e-ticket & i-ticket. only & only a small difference is printouts. if we are ready to take w8ing list ticket bcos of some urgency then why indianrailway has cancelled it. if they cancelled e-ticket then they have to also cancelled w8ing i-ticket.
                                  indianrailway have to think about this matter seriously.
                                  CAN I PERFORM MY JOURNEY WITH WAIT LISTED TICKET ALONG WITH MY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS HAVING CONFIRMED TICKETS
                                  my ticket has been waitlisted W/L 20 .how to know whether that e.ticket is automatically cancelled..it is showing as delivered in bokked history..pls help..

                                  Please let me know the Lower birth Quota catergory of person as i have read in one document it is possilbe for pregnant lady and above 45 age lady but when i wnet to reservation counter along with the medical certificate of pregnancy then railway person deny to give reservation for preganat lady and said its for only above 45 age lady .
                                  Please let me know in Indain Railway has some provision for pregnant lady as they must be travel in lower birth only .

                                  Indian Railway — wrongly adjustment of waitlisted ticket

                                  i have booked my ticket on 29/5/11 for 30/5/11 from irctc. and my ticket status was wait list 6 at the time of booking. But after the prepration of reservation chat its come up from wait list 6 to wait list 10. how is it possible? that wait list comes up.my pnr number is[protected] and contact number is [protected] and email id is [protected]@gmail.com

                                  I HAVE BOOKED MY TRAIN TICKET VIDE PNR NO.[protected] ON 20.5.2011 FOR TRAIN NO.12170 DATED 11.6.2011 FROM SOLAPUR TO DADAR IN AC CHAIR CAR VIDE COACH NO.C-1 WITH SEAT NO.66,67,68, AND ACCORDINGLY WIFE WIFE ALONGWITH 2 DAUGHTERS AND 1 SON BOARDED THE AC CHAIR CAR FROM SOLAPUR STATION AND WERE ALLOTTED SEAT , BUT AT PUNE STATION TICKET COLLECTOR CAME IN COACH AND DIRECTED THEM TO VACATE THE SEAT AS SAME WAS BOOKED IN SOME OTHER PASSENGER NAME FROM PUNE TO MUMBAI. WITH OUT ANY ALTERNATIVE SHE HAS TO GET DOWN FROM THE TRAIN AND CATCH A BUS FROM PUNE TO MUMBAI. AND SAME THING HAPPENED ON OTHER TICKET VIDE PNR NO.[protected] DATED 31.5.2011 AND I HAVE LODGED COMPLAINT EARLIER AND THIS IS SECOND TIME .WHEN RAILWAYS HAVE SOPHISTICATD CENTRALISED RESERVATION SYSTEM THEN HOW SUCH THINGS HAPPEN. DUE TO DEFICIENCY AND NEGLIGENCE OF RAILWAYS PASSENGER ARE PUT TO LOT OF INCONVENIENCE AND MENTAL HARRASSMENT . I PRAY FOR ADEQUATE MONETARY COMPENSATION AND REFUND OF TICKET CHARGES ALONGWITH CHARGES FOR TRAVELLING FROM PUNE TO MUMBAI VIA BUS ROUTE.

                                  I was want to book an e-ticket ,but due to some error transaction failed. My money was transfered and I did't get e-ticket. So please refund my money in my acount . Details are below

                                  Auto cancellation is really good... Everyone knows after chart preparation we ll get our tiket is conformed r not...if it is conformed well, no need to cancel a tiket..if it is not cnfd god grace amount should be salf..they ll cancel automatically(but we dnt have to other alternativr to go)...so my sugession is intimate chart preparation two times of each journey...i.e, intimate before 12 hours prepared on chart i.e like final chart...and after that dnt cancel waiting list the tikets...again spot cancellation will be there after chart preparation(bcz its 12 hours bfr right)..so more than 10 wl people will search other alternative having time also...after 10wl ppl may be they will get tikets...then finally cancel the tikets automatically...

                                  Railway Online Booking — cancel Ticket

                                  I Booked Train Tickets with details as below.
                                  Transaction ID [protected], [protected] on 21.10.2011 for Rs.841+ Rs.841(Two Tickets) The Payment was made through my debit card, Indian Bank
                                  I fully agree that it's a partial rule which can be easily won if it's fought in consumer court. But no one has the time to do it. Thats a sad part. Even Indian Railway knows that.

                                  I see that when a reserved seat passenger travels in Sleeper class(SL), the same seats are left open for day time travellers. I mean during day time any person taking a sleeper ticket will be able to sit on your reserved seat. This is a partiallity because if that's the case then let the Indian Railways allow day time traveller for even AC 3 tier, AC 2 tier and AC first class.

                                  What i see here is a bunch of partial rules which i don't know who makes this? If any person seriously pursues, the Railways can be brought to it's knees because you are paying your hardly earned money for travel.

                                  Let it be fair for all classes whether you travel in Sleeper, AC 3 tier, AC 2 tier and AC first class. Why the indian railways has to show the partiallity. It's not british rule now as i know of.

                                  If the daily travel passenger can sit in the Sleeper compartment during day[again partial rule], why can't a e ticket waitting list people can't be considered. I don't think there is a need to ask Indian Railways for this. Someone has to file in court. But no one has the time as i earlier said.

                                  Rajesh is absolutely right. It is a horrible way to treat e-ticket holders.

                                  I had a similar bad experience that my current WL number had come down from 50-60 or so to just WL2 few hours before journey. So i set out for the station (takes me about 90-105 minutes) . When i reached there & checked the charts, i found that people with current WL upto even 100 or so had got confirmed, whereas my WL 2 had got deleted at the time of chart preperation simply because it was an e-ticket !! I had to go back all the way, as i did not want the tension of being a ticketless travellor.

                                  The Railways can very well upgrade/automate their programs so that at the time of chart preparation, pending WL tickets are confirmed in strict sequence - the status will get automarically updated, so there is no question of anyone being able to cancel the e-ticket thereafter !

                                  After reading all reviews, I think auto cancellation is good step from railways... completely agree that everyone should have a valid ticket. But on the other hand if in case of online ticket, the status should be updated asap so that the customer wont think that they wont get the refund.

                                  i want to know the status of my complaint which i have registersed to Cheif Commercial Officer ,Chennai kerela.
                                  regarding wait listed e-ticket-
                                  If there is a waitlisted e-ticket then with the proper ID, a passenger should allowed to take printed ticket if he wish to travel, subsequently online TDR request is locked for that PNR. For those this journey is really important.
                                  if waiting ticket not confirm then what refund will be credict if e ticket book. any deduction is there ?
                                  How i will get refund of wait listed ticket which is not confirmed & so not traveled on that ticket. now i want refund of that ticket. how i will get refund & what is the prosiger for that. plz reply as soon as possible
                                  Then why waitlist ticket issued from the counter is allowed to travel, If you get a waitlist 1 just an hour before chart is prepared. Would you pack your bags for travel or cancel your travel plans. Railways should at least provide TC with waitlist for last WL20 passengers. So that at least they can travel with those tickets. Getting a general ticket from LTT during holiday seasons is going for an adventure. You wont get easily to the counter before taking someones punch, secondly you would smell bad, everyone would push you left and right. None of your deos would work. Thats not enough, now when you go to catch general seat, you see a long queue which is waiting for at least 8 hours before the departure of the train. you will wonder if you will be able to enter the boggie or not. Imagine rest of the journey for long trains. At least for last 20 waitlist passenger tickets should be valid.

                                    I traveled by kerala express on 13/10/2008 from Nagpur to new Delhi and had reservation for onward journey up to jammu tawi in shalimar express. Kerala express reached late new Delhi by about 2 hrs and 50 mnts. The climax was that when our train was approaching new Delhi railway station, Shalimar express was leaving the station. The net result was that we missed the train. I and some other concerned passengers went to the office of station superintendent to accommodate us in any other train. He endorsed the ticket at backside and said we would be accommodated in other train. In the meantime i lost my luggage in front of his chair. When i requested for lodging the complaint he said he could not help it and no other authority also could help me. Now my contention is that in this electronic computerized system where every information is gathered at the tip of the button. Why there is no provision of accommodating these kind of passengers on priority basis in some other trains. and only 12 hours have been kept for lodging the refund claim while as to cover the distance of more than 500 kms in the bus it takes more than 14 hrs to reach the destination and the first thing the customer cannot undergo the process of claiming refund. Mean while let me know whether i should lodge the claim o[censored]nused journey from new Delhi to jammu.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    How to deal the cases where Zonal railway authority declines and keep them reluctant to reply even if it is lodged under Right to information act 2005 against a serious complaint against TTES under their control.
                                    The complaint in brief is that my self and one Mr. Anandadeep Sarkar both were travelling in a Sleeper class of 4083 Mahananda express during 7.30 hrs and 10.30 hrs with our monthly ticket on 13.06.2008 Suddenly some onduty TTES of Kathiar rly division boarded on the train from Mal JN stn (falls under jurisdiction of Alipurduar railway division0 they were all in Uniform but hiding their name badges.We had to borded in sleeper class the reason being there was only one GS (general sitting)compartment attached to that 24 boggie train and it was jam packed our destination was the next station ie. Siliguri junction .The TTES who borded started abusive talks for bording on the sleeper coach and they forced both o[censored]s to pay 310 each (rs. 60 as fare and rs 250 as excess fare thoough both o[censored]s were having qly season valid tickets with us.On the same day we discussed this matter with Sr. Area Manager, New Jalpaiguri and over telephone we had talks with D.C.M, New Jalpaiguri Mr. Das he assured us to make counselling of the TTES and let us know the outcome.Ultimately months together we didnot get any phone/letter from his site? Naturally we approached appleate authority at Zonal head quarter Maligaon under RTI that on 13.06.2008 how many 2nd class gs coaches were attached with the above train?No of general tickets sold in between the sections and who were those surprise ticket cheaking TTES OF kATHIHAR division?we paid proper fees but showing some procedural lapse they returned our complaint.Once again we sent the complaint as per required format finally the reply came from MR. D.K gupta, DGM THAT THE INFORMATIONS SOUGHT UNDER RTI CANNOT GIVEN.Now I look foroward to get the proper justice in this case.It si to be noted that during last 3 yrs this Mahananda express accomodates 15% occupancy in sleeper class between Alipurduar jn (originating station0 upto Siliguri junction.More over we had our several corresponces with Divisiuonal Railway authorities, Zonal railway Authorities to provide/earmark maximum 20-25 bearths in sleeper class with additional fare but that letters were never replied.

                                    Railway — Control the TTEs

                                    Respeced Sir/Madam
                                    This is the most common problem while travelling by trains.The problem is with the TTEs who do not carry out their duties properly.The problem is that, many unreserved/waitlisted passengers enter the reserved coaches and the TTEs instead of stopping them takes 100 or 50 rupees and leaves them, causing great inconveniance to the other passengers.Even Rajdhani Express is not spared.Waitlisted passengers enter and continue their journey near the door, by paying 2000 rupees to the TTE.This happened in New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express on 29th May 2009, I was in coach B3.So I beg you to look in this matter and please tackle the TTEs at first, then only we can travel safely in trains.We don't want unauthorised passengers in trains.

                                      We, passengers who are wanting to travel to Mangalore from Howrah is having difficulty due to the trains that had been stopped few years back due to the Kadalundi bridge incident. Now that the bridge is newly made and trains ply from that our direct service has been still stopped. If we want to go to northern Kerala, places like Calicut, Cannanore, Tellicherry..etc we have to change a couple of trains. And if we miss any of the intersecting trains that we'll be doomed at the halted station for quite a long while.

                                      PLEASE RUN MORE TRAINS FROM MUMBAI TO BIKANER AND JODHPUR ROUTE TO REDUCE RUSH OF LOCAL PEOPLE AT NIGHT TIME.PEOPLES ARE STANDING ON THE MAIN ENTRANCE WHICH RLED TO SEVERE ACCIDENTS. SO PLEASE RUN MORE TRAINS DURING NIGHT HOURS AND THE TRAIN NUMBER 4708/4707 RANAKPUR EXPRESS IS ALWAYS LATE IN ITS SHEDULE TIME.

                                        Today i had went to new delhi railway station.

                                        I asked for the platform ticket.the railway person didn't issue me the platform ticket.


                                        After that when i asked for the reason they misbehaved me.

                                        At the entrance i explained but the ticket collector refuded to listen and after that he forcefully charged me the fine.

                                        when i talked about reason.

                                        he threaten me to give it to police for some other charges.
                                        and told me that you will be imprisonment.

                                        the behaviour of the staff is very bad.

                                        And they want some bribe for that.

                                        Every main ticket can be given an optional for max two platform tickets and can be included in the fair. Name of the person seeking platform ticket can be taken during booking. The entry / exit to the platform can be admitted along with the ID proof with the pre - purchased platform ticket. This option will help every one to avoid long que at the counter and helping the traveling passenger rushing the railway station in the last moment.
                                        In Delhi stations, all the platform ticket wending machines are just kept as a showpiece
                                        because they never work, and so are the brains of TC's.
