Dear Sir,
I booked one i-ticket on 27-09-08 as per enclosing letter. When the ticket was not delivered I mailed the complaint on 2nd Nov 2008 to [protected]@irctc.co.in but the complaint has not been resolved as yet.
You are requested to look into the matter & resolve my complaint.

Indian Railways — non-delivery of tickets

I have booked two tickets from Secunderabad to Bangalore and back for my mother, Smt Usha on 08-05-08. I am attaching the booking history which contains the PNR number etc. I bring to your notice that I have not received these two tickets so far at the delivery address. I am unable to contact the telephone numbers given like[protected],[protected] etc because they are always busy.
I HAVE BOOKED MY iticket which is due for delivery at your bhopal OFFICE. at present I am at korba and booked ticket is also from bilspur to Bhopal I THEREFORE REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY ADVISE YOUR BHOPA OFFICE TO DELIVER MY TICKET AT UNDENOTED ADDRESSE

    I fail to understand why senior citizens are allotted only upper births ? Made 3 attempts to book a ticket for my father aged 84 and got upper birth all the 3 times ! PNRs are : [protected], [protected], [protected]. Other examples from the past are ; [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected].

    Though the ministry claims to be very passenger friendly and IT savvy, yet the reality is that the ministry is still ruled by people with very low respect towards travelers. A simple string allocated with senior citizen in the system variables can offer comforts to the veterans but who cares...!

    If you think, that I didn't try the "book my ticket only if I am allotted at least one lower..." then try it out yourselves. They'll charge you before the ticket is booked and raise their thumb immediately after. Needless to mention, you get your money back after 2 to 3 working days as if you are penalised to care for your elderly lot...

    Shame on the ministry and its administrators.

      I went to the railway station at night dated 07/11/08 to see off my few guest (Representative of Allahabad High Court) to catch Nauchandi Express train No. 4512 there two tickets for AC 2 Tier waiting 1 & 2 and another ticket of AC 3 Tier valid ticket.

      When the train reached to Rampur station (time 12.23) we immediately came down to AC 2 Tier coach and no T.T. or railway staff was there, I immediately asked to the attendant to find out the T.T. and their half of the luggage was already transferred to the coach by coolie, finally we were told no seat is available in the same coach, in between train started moving. Few luggage was left behind on the platform I immediately pulled the stop chain to stop the train.

      After 5 minutes train started moving and immediately one R.P.F. constable came to me and started talking me vulgarly I told him the reason for C.P.C. and committed for the above said reason.

      I was asked to pay bribe, which I refused and was taken to the Railway Protection Force Chawki, there were 6 constables who were totally drunk and started bargaining with me for bribe. Station Officer Pratap Singh Negi for R.P.F. was not present at the office and was told about the matter on mobile with the same constable, I personally heard the communication between them he was briefing him that very big party is over there in the police station, Prabhari up nirakshak Pratap Singh Negi came at 2.30 am who was badly drunk and started abusing me and I was locked up in the lock up. He vulgarly abused me and started beating me I got a wounds on my whole body and have got stitches over there, he looted 25, 000 Rs. Cash, one diamond ring, one gold chain and damaged my Honda City car which was parked outside the Railway Station. I was not allowed to call my relatives or friends to the R.P.F. Station. Finally my guests which were about to travel informed my family and friends who came to the spot and told him about the matter.

      When Pratap Singh Negi came to know that I am a reputed person of the town. I was asked to write an application for the cause of C.P.C. in the pressure, than I was released from the lockup.

      Sir from last 28 years I am traveling in Indian Railways and always travel in AC Class, I have paid lacs of Rs. revenue to the Indian Railways.

      I would like to say it’s a matter of shame for the department with this kind of corrupt officers and police staff who are for the protection and convenience, and have been appointed by the Indian Railways.

      I made complaint to all the high officials of Indian Railways along with Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav Railway Minister of India by emails and faxes, but no action has been taken yet against the Pratap Singh Negi along with six Constables.

      I personally spoke to the office of Mr. Rajiv Mathour Director General for R.P.F. through my cell phone, who even dint bauthor to talk to me, than I spoke to Mr. M.S. Sunil Deputy Director for Central Crime for R.P.F. and brief him about the matter, I was told to speak to Mr. Mehta I.G. for R.P.F. I called to his office he also dint bauthor to talk to me. Than yesterday dated 09/11/2008 I got the cell number of D.I.G. for R.P.F. through net I called to Mr. P.S. Rawal and brief him the matter and I send the email to him regarding my complaint.

      I would like to mention one more thing here, when the Cabinet Minister for Indian Railways Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav is already under the corruption charges for the Fodder Scam in Bohar, how could I expect to get justice from the Indian Railways.

      Finally I have made complaint at the Chief Judicial Megisterate at the Rampur District and Session Court.

      Today dated 10/11/2008 I have not get back my diamond ring, gold chain and Rs. 25, 000 cash which was looted by the R.P.F. staff at Rampur Railway Station.

      Train — Few people showing their power

      Sir,
      Me and my brother were traveling form mumbai to jalgaon in dadar-amritsar train.
      Some people were sitting on our seats when we told them that this is our seat they started showing their power. They were wearing orange cloth on their shoulder(Person of some political party) and the train was full of them.They were asking for ticket and when we showed them ticket they told we are not going to go, do whatever you want. Then we called T.C. he helped us out. But what to do for such threats. We have to feel this type of imbarasing situation. Plz tell what to do for that.

      With reference to the PNR number provided above, I have travelled along with my family by Gareeb Rath (Train No. 2739) from Viskhapatnam to Seconderabad on 17th January 2009.

      My reservation status after Chart preparation was RG3 - 1 for 3 o[censored]s.

      The TTE, who was in charge of the G3 bogie, after so many requests and discussions to confirm the berths for us, has demanded money to tell the already allotted berths, though there were several berths vacant. I finally paid the TTE to have a comfortable journey as I have already spent so much.

      It is also inform to you that the TTE was sitting in the Chair Car without even coming to the RAC travellers. He was collecting money who ever meets him.

      I request the authorities to take appropriate action for the corrupt practices by the said TTE.

      It is also to inform you that at Seconderabad station, corrupt practices are followed in the name of EQ (Emergency Quota). They collect money and release EQ. When contacted about this, the railway personnel sitting there went into arguments and have no concern about the sufferings of the public. I request that the EQ procedure to be abondoned.

      I am sending this email with a "little hope", that this kind of corrupt practices could be stopped to some extent (if authorities are concerned) in this corrupt country.

      I would like to give you attention through this mail to your local train services to main line section of Sealdah. On 8th May 2009 at 03:20 am at morning I was going to my home Naihati from sealdah through UP Krishna Nagar local ( Dept time from Sealdah : 03:20 am ). At 03:00 am when I have reached station I got the car was standing on platfrom number 1, normally I took a seat beside window at compartment number 3. At 03:13 am some people came to that compartment and telling us, we will have to leave that compartment because, that compartment is alloted for newspaper carring.But no where in your train writen " Reserved for News Paper" like ( RMS ). After few minutes they were started using slangs when we refuges to relise the seats, not only that they started pushing pessenger from that compartment by hampering through News paper roll. They are telling loudly "we are paing to all big shots of Sealdah Station for that, no one can't stop them.

      If it is going...now a days will come normal pessenger will leave their temperment and will started ...anything and you can't stop that.

      So, my suggestion is please take care of this matter seriously, they can't take ride of our National Property. And will not to make us furious to resolve that matter in other way...by fighting.If we want we can do wht ever we feel to do with them but we don't to take any ilegal steps for that matter, otherwise that will became a bis issue.

      Dear Sir,

      Railway personnel are notorious and their attitude towards passengers and common citizen reminds us that we are yet to gain independence from the British. What we need to do is to boycot socially all the railway personnel. No amount of complaint to any authority is likely to evoke a positive outcome, since right from top to bottom everybody shares the booty. All the employees amasses wealth which are far in excess of their known sources of income, but not a single person has been prosecuted for illegal gratification.
      it is unfortunate that this happened to you mr. chawla... but this is a regular attitude of the railway personels. most of the incidents are unreported and a few case which the people like you figure out is discouraged by the authorities.
      Harassment of Passengers
      14th July, 09

      I am a regular office-goer and use the Thane-Nerul line to commute to office by the 9.14 am Thane-Nerul train. I observe daily some 7 to 8 plain clothed people target the last vendor compartment and harass passengers claiming it to be ladies. They even manhandle unwary commuters when they ask questions. They often let people go on payment of bribes ranging from Rs. 200 to Rs. 520. Today, the 14th of July as usual, they caught around 10 to 12 commuters . Usually it is actually mentioned that the compartment is for ladies from 4.00 am to 10.00 am from Mumbai towards the down line. But today there was no mention of the compartment being ladies. I was at the door of the next compartment today as I presumed that the group of 7 to 8 people were going to repeat their usual act. Before boarding, I checked out the compartment on both sides and confirmed that nothing was mentioned except that the compartment is reserved for senior citizens from 12.00 pm to 15.00 hrs. This needs to be taken up seriously or else many unwary commuters will be robbed of their savings.

      Hope somebody acts on this urgently.
      I Started my journey from Patna to Guwahati by Okha Guwahati Express on 19/07/2009 with my friend Viru Sharma... Ticket No[protected] PNR No-[protected] in 3 Tier A/C coach no- B3 Berth No 28 & 29... I am very sorry to say that we were provided very dirty quality of bed roll which was not washed properly and it was already used before.. The coach attendend mis-behaved with us and said Okha se ab tak 5 (five) logo se ye berth use kiya hai, mai itne bed roll kaha se lau... Jo hai wahi milega.. lena hai to lo nahi to aase hi pare raho... He also not given towel and said it was not provided to him so didnot give towel to us.

      We asked to give complain book but he refused. After a search of half n hour we didnot find Ticket Inspecter... In the mein time the train reached at Barauni Station and suddenly we find a Ticket Inspecter and asked to lodge a complain regarding this matter. He said it was with Guard of the Train so at last we lodge a complain to guard. I am surprise that it was the First complain lodge by us to the Guard.

      Kindly look this matter as a very serious matter and take action againset it.
      How to Contain Police Atrocities? Corrupt Police Should be Shot!!

      I agree that police are needed to maintain law and order, but I also demand stringent punishments to evil [99% of the police are evil] policemen.

      Under the new law, 1% of the police should be shot every year. In other words death rate among police should be maintained at 2% [1% natural and 1% to be shot]. That will be better payback for the unsusual powers they enjoy.

      To shoot corrupt police, a counter organisation like Stalin's NKVD or Hitler's SS [but not of evil nature] should be built. Even if there is flimsiest evidence that a policeman is involoved in crimes against the society, he should be shot.

      Assuming that there 1, 000, 000 policemen in India, 1% makes 10, 000. Means 10, 000/365 or 30 policemen should be legally shot every day. This is not a big number to be alarmed. But it is the price police should pay for enjoying brutal powers.

      If govt comes with a new law to execute and use the bodies of corrupt police officials, the following benefits can be obtained from the body of a single corrupt policeman:

      2 Kidneys, 2 Eyes, and 1 Liver weighing 1.5 kgs. These can be used by those who are in need of organs.

      8 liters of Blood can be transferred to the blood banks to help the needy.

      10 kgs of Bones can be used to manufacture calcium and magnesium vitamin tablets.

      Indian Railways — Corrupt Booking Staff and Police

      I went to Chinchwad (Pune) station on 14 october 2009 to book a tatkal ticket. The police diverted attention of common people by Lathi Charge and helped the Agents to get the first place in que. This resulted in non availability of tickets to common people. The agents even beat 2 people in the dispute. I took up the matter with Senior Commertial Manager (Pune Division). His answer was totally unsatisfactory. I missed the diwali occation with my family, thanks to the corruption of officials.

      The madam on counter No.3 was exceptionally corrupt. I don't think anybody of these government servants has pleged for peoper service. The agents, which have offices outside station were involved

      Personal — Abusement of Luggage berths by Commuters

      I am a regular commuter of Indian Railway and fond of his excellant service to the nation. These days whichever train I board, a hardening scene I accustom is during rush period, some passengers are finding luggage berths as their seat or their sleeping place. This is really making immense hardships to the passengers who were wandering in the compartment to place their luggages. I suggest Indian Railways should go very harsh on the above indisciplined passengers like slapping heavy penalty for those who are abusing the amenities in the train compartments.

      Indian Railways — Deteriorating law and order on local trains

      Sir,
      In spite of the No Smoking policies that have been put in place for the good of the public, many people do not seem to follow the rules. There are vendors selling cigarettes openly on Krishnanagar City Jn. (Sealdah Division) platforms and passengers openly smoke inside the coaches. This is especially difficult now that in winter the windows have to be kept closed. On protesting, the smokers either do not bother and instead become aggressive. It is difficult for people with respiratory ailments to travel inside the local trains. Daily passengers are particularly to blame because they think they own the trains. They also reserve seats in advance, often something like 20 seats using newspapers or handkerchiefs and intimidate anyone who tries to oppose them. This situation makes travelling hell for many people who like to travel in peace and comfort. I would request the Railway Protection Force to help make our journey a safe and pleasurable one. Kindly look into the matter. Law and order is the least that we can expect while travelling on trains and this situation will get worse as time progresses if the errant public are not booked for breaking the law.

      I tried to post this complaint on the RPF site but the submission form on the site does not seem to be working. The email ID posted on the Sealdah Division website also does not work. How are we supposed to send them our complaints to them over the internet? It is surprising that a large organization like the Indian Railways which mainly caters to offer service to the public does not have a proper system for the public to post their grievances.

      On 22 Jan 10 I was travelling by Amritsar Howrah Mail (3006) Coach No. B2 and Berth No. 48 and PNR No[protected], the train departed near about at 1230am, at that time no TTE came to check my ticket. After crossing Muradabad Railway Station suddenly a TTE came and told me that my ticket has been cancelled and he allotted that seat to someone else. I produced my valid ticket, but he was telling me that this ticket has been cancelled by Amritsar TTE, and was blaming me for not producing the ticket to Amritsar TTE and telling me that its the duty of the individual to search for the TTE and producing the Journey Ticket. His attitude was very aggressive and not at all passenger friendly. His manner and wordings were not at all respectful. Being a Railway Servant his duty is to help the passanger and not to harass. This type of attitude not only leaves a negative impression towards the profession of TTE but also a great question mark for the management of Indian Railway. I would like to request again that strict disciplinary action may please be initiated against that TTE to avoid further inconvenience by the passengers of Indian Railways.

      Complaint regarding not accepting student concession by booking clerk and arrogant behavior by the co-clerk.

      I had gone to book tickets to Thiruvamiyur railway station on 20/02/2010 at 09:30Hrs.
      The date of my traveling is 16/04/2010 in train no. 0635 Kollam express boarding at Chennai central to Palakkad. and return ticket Train no. 6042 Chennai Express 09/05/2010 Palakkad to Chennai central.

      I had got a concession letter for my son aged 11 from the school. ( The name of the school is SISHYA No. 2 Padmanabha Nagar, 2nd Street, Adayar, Chennai 600 020.
      The school had given us the concession form from the school . It is a government prescribed form and the booking clerk told me that this has to be verified, so he informed me to get the verification seal from the lady who was sitting in counter 1 who was issuing local train tickets(MRTS tickets). I approached the lady. she said first come in the queue, i said the booking clerk has sent me to get verification seal from you, and i have not come to buy local tickets, but she was shouting very badly back to me then she took the concession form from me and said with out even verifying any of the register she said the school is not valid, i told her this is a government form and this was issued by me in the school with principal signature & seal but how can you refuse it, she was so adamant and spoke very badly and rudely to me. She says that she will call the RPF and put me behind bars. The way she spoke and threw the concession letter back to me. I was badly humiliated and upset and i booked my tickets without concession. This concession given by the school became a waste for me. In the school assembly they said that students can avail the railway student concession, but the railway clerk behaves to us like this, then what should i do. I REQUEST TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION ON THE LADY AND THE BOOKING CLERK. You can check my form where i have written the concession Number but they have totally rejected. I was upset by the lady spoke to me so rude and harsh. I booked the tickets with out student concession

      This to inform you that I am a daily commuter of Sealdah Division Circular Railway from Barrackpore to B.B.D.Bag but to my surprise I like to say that everyday I face difficulty in getting into the railway compartment because some unruly mob commuting everyday are very much condemn in unnecessary pushing and dashing which may cause injury to a person which I had to suffer today on 6.3.2010 at B.B.D.Bag when I got hurt on my leg and lot of blood came out.
      Therefore it is my request to you to deploy Railway Protection personnel for suppressing such unruly mob inorder to protect and help people to get into the train peacefully.

      on dated 14/09/2010 I'd gone New Delhi Railway Station to drop my friend. I was in a great hurry and my friend have heavy luggage there is need of me . When i reached to take platform ticket there is no one on the second floor inquiry counter a lot number of people had sorrounded the counter to by ticket or for inquiry and the start to make a uproar to get ticket but the police disburse the mob by starting beating and in other counter there is a long que and no one agree to take anyone even a platform ticket without que. Now i decided to drop him without Platform ticket and i do this, but when i return from platform on the entry gate One the Officer ask me for ticket and i haven't. They ask me to paid Rs.260 as a penalty when i requested to release me they threat me to persent me before Magistrate and i agree to go before magistrate (because i have small amount of money not in condition to paid penalty) but suddenely they started to chek my Pocket for money its look like that i'm being theft its totally like a robbery or theft and they got 200 in my shirt pocket ( Though in law an order i have break Law of not to take Platform Ticket but in a condition in which i was how can and from where we buy a platform Ticket in such as a arrangement[protected] if i have money I paid the full amount with Bill so that this amount is reach on govt account instead of to reach such an inferior, brazen shameless the corrupted officer Pocket.)

      Is There is no any law and order to check corruption that make obstacle in common man life

      Dear Sir,
      I am serving military men and put up 28 years of service in Defence forces and since I joined service till date I have seen that whenever a militarymen who has been issued with a CV (conccession Voucher) from his unit, he has to give that at the booking counter and booking clerk book the ticket and charge the prescribed charges and make a journey ticket. He do not give you any piece of concession voucher. However, in the case of a free railway warrant issued to military person and when he booked a ticket he grt back a piece of token alongwith a journey ticket, which has to be kept alongwith journey ticket and to be produce to TTE whenever he comes for ticket checking. In my case I booked a ticket for my family and children on a CV from Navy Nagar, Colaba, Mumbai Railway reservation counter for journey on 10 Dec 10 by 0901 Rajdhani Spl train in 3AC and I was alotted berth 17, 18, 19 and 20 in B3 coach. The train departed mumbai CTL at 1945 hrs on 10 Dec 10. At around 2200 Hrs I got a call from my daughter and wife that TTE is harrassing them to produce a part of CV on which you booked the ticket otherwise pay the full amount of tickets, which is incorrect and shows that railway TTE are not trained properly for their duties and not clear about the documents. Here is the point is, will you please find out the gentlemen TTE and take necessary actions against him

Sir when i was going to home DBRG ASR 15933when we are reaches at DMV station cause of cancel that train dated on 25 jan 2011 because there are not any retiring room facility at furkating station then we are riches to DMV station time 900 hrs in morning and request to CTI Office please issue to 01 retiring room because my wife is ill she name is kiran badola that is passenger of that train when i checked all retiring room is blank but cti is not alloted me any room then after i meet to station Master he told me your boarding is FKG so We are very painful journey in my life

      The train from bangalore to kannyakumari... ie kannyakumari exp doesnt have a pantry though the travel time is around 22hours... god knows what your policy of having a pantry in a train. same is the case with bangalore to lucknow train also though the travel time is more than 40hours even this train does not have a pantry attached. Hope you rectify and improve the existing trains before introducing news trains and creating more and more mess and more inefficency.

      pl reduce the travelling time between bangalore and mysore... it takes more than 3 hours which is really a pain for daily up and down travellers for their job and also the shatabdi train from bangalore to mysore and from mysore to bangalore is not at all convinent and does not serve any purpose pl change the time so that more and more people travel conveniently.

      i want to complain about the rpf officrs of brhampur, odisha . day aftr yestrday i was there in there in the railway station to see off my father who is 60 yearts old he barely sees .at th tim of 10.55 hirakhand xpress came and i kept all my fathers bag in the s5 compartment and that time there was no light. me and my father were late to the compartment s5 .while i was laving off to my house an rpf constabl seen m comming out of s5 while the was in running condition. suddenly some on pulled the chain in s4 and the con stable took m doubting confidently on me.and took took me to rpf chowki and kept me in thr chowki for 3.oo clock nite.my father tried to talk with th police but the constabls ar not ready to talk. the sub inspctor mr pankaj kumar also bargaind me to give fine or els he gave warning for putting a case of sec 141 on me and i who was innoccent gav 3oo rupes and cam back home.so plsease i request dont try to harss general public.i was really embarassed of this kind of rpf who protct us and also loot us.

        Respected Sir,

        I am Rovin Singh R/o of Dwaka, New Delhi. I am working in Tehsil Distt Gurgaon as a computer Operator under Haryana Government. I have a valid M.S.T Pass. On 3.11.04 I boarded in train No. 385 i.e. Kalandi Passenger Train (Delhi- Rewari) along with my six friends from Palam railway station. The above said train was fully packed with passengers. The two Guard Bogies were lying vacant (there was not even single guard in guard bogy) and door was opened. Being in hurry, we boarded in one of the vacant guard bogy. Train started moving. We reached at Gurgaon Railway station. There suddenly 4 to 5 RPF personnel caught us with our collar & used very obscene language called BIHARI BHAIYA also and carried out man handling saying that you are not authorized to travel in guard bogy. We requested them that if we are wrong kindly charge the penalty. But do not use obscene language. They did not pay any attention to our request and assaulted us & misbehaved with us. Latter they charged amount of Rs 400/- from each o[censored]s (i.e. Rs 2400).
        You are requested to taken disciplinary action against the faulty five RPF personnel who misbehaved & assaulted us.

        Train started moving Samastipur JN. to Muzafurpur JN. suddenly There Two RPF Purson Gun man (One-South indian purson). he catch one over age purson up to 65 year man handling saying that you journal class ticket you are not authorized to travel in 2nd class so charge fine 500 RS & pick collar or pusing bathromm side & check pocket & used very obscene languageold man face blading in mouth.
        We requested them that if we are wrong kindly charge as pur rail rule.There suddenly coming to 2 RPF purson caught us with our collar or pushing hand in my face or kick me eigth & used very obscene rough language called MADARCHOD, HERO BANTHA HAI BIHARI SALA .golimardunga sala .I Complain TT he
        said why are interfare other purson problem.

        You are requested to taken disciplinary action against the faulty five RPF personnel who misbehaved & assaulted us.

The person unable to pay the demanded money. They had to stay out side of the gate at new Delhi railway jn.


        I requested you to take right action against the RPF personnel and Kulis who has taken money from passenger in general Bogi .

        I have been caught by RPF at kalyan for crossing the road track even i showed them that i had an exma and i was late for that so i crossed the track but they did not listen to me and misbehaved with me and took 540/- rupees from me whereas on other days all people were crossing the roads they did not even bother to catch them

        I travel in metro reguarly from Rabindra Sarobar to Jatin Das Park for my job. Today(30/04/2011) I entered in metro station at 8:50 AM for travel in metro.

        I saw my friend speaking with a metro staff for ticket punching problem at AFC gate.Suddenly a police came and caught his collar and spoke with slang language. Then we went to protest against the police. But the police speak very bad language with us & touch our body as like a thief.

        We all know that AFC gate in all metro station at kolkata is might problemetic.

        Why the AFC gate will not repairing ?
        Why the police use slang language with us?

        I requested u to take needful action against this type of RPF.

        people who are new to mumbai with their guns and asking them to get money from their ATM accounts. Two of my friends where looted like this. Please take immediate action to stop this activity.

          I traveled with my family from Ahmedabad to New Delhi on 1st November by Ashram Express Coach B-1(3 AC) Seats 29/30/32 & 40.
          The passengers on Seat 25 was with 2 additional passengers (wait listed) & passenger on Seat 28 was with 1 additional passenger (wait listed).
          When I objected to Ticket checker about this over crowding, instead of asking Non-confirmed passengers to get down he ADVISED us to Adjust.This is ridiculous. On top of that the TC told us that passenger on Seat 25 are influential.
          Is this the way your railway staff behave.??

          Also note that the catering staff in Ashram is charging much higher than recommended rates for Tea & snacks. This you must bring under control.

            Sub : Complaint against my reservation PNR No. B[protected] & B[protected]


            We were coming back from Lalitpur to Kanpur with my family by Pushpak Express Train No. 2534 on 27.01.2009 vide my reservation ticket in sleeper class under PNR No B[protected] for three(3) birth RL WL/30, 31, 32 & other PNR No. B[protected] for one (1) birth RL WL/74 thus upto the last movement from journey start our reservation status under waiting list on 27.01.2009 .

            With reference to the above, we entered in the train in schedule time 12:40 AM to start journey in sleeper class S-12 coach the coach was full. We request to TT on duty to provide any birth to us but he say he has no birth, we again contacted to TT at Jhansi to check Jhansi Cota and release us birth against my reservation if possible but he again say sorry as he had no birth after half (1/2) an hour approx 3:00 AM in mid night we again approach to same TT on duty than he provide me only two (2) birth No.39, 40 in S-7 Coach from Orai photo copy of the same ticket is enclosed for your perusal on which he has noted birth No. 39 & 40 in S-7 in his own writing. while more birth are available in Orai station. When we came to S-7 coach from S-12 coach in Orai station and saw the TT on duty have verbally allotted two birth to other persons in same coach birth No. 32 & 49 after taking Rs.150/ for each birth without any receipt and not provide any birth to us while we ware entitled for allotment on priority, you can understand at Midnight we have faced a lot of problems during the journey with my family.


            Kindly Look in to the matter and take appropriate action against the said TT on duty, we shall feel oblige if you can take immediate action in the above matter and inform us about the same.

                I took a 2nd Class AC ticket on North East Express (Train no 2505) going from Guwahati to Allahabad on the 11th of October, 2008. My ticket number is 64387164 and PNR number is[protected]. I paid Rs.1466 for the ticket. Due to some problems, my ticket was downgraded to 3rd Class AC. The ticket collector told me to get a refund from Allahabad station.

                On 22nd October, I went to Allahabad station to get a refund for the ticket (the difference of the cost between the 2nd class and 3rd class ticket). I went to the booking counter and they told me to go to the reservation counter. After waiting in line for over an hour, I was told by the person in the reservation counter to go to another booking office. I then went to the office and the person told me to meet someone in another booking counter. The guy inside that counter told us to go to reservation counter. I stood in line for a long time and when I finally got to the front, I was told to go to yet another counter. I then went and stood in line for a long time and when I finally got to the front, the person told me to go to the booking counter where I had previously gone. The person told me that he will not refund me the money because I was too late and should have gone earlier.

                I got fed up at this point and went home. Are they telling me the truth or just trying to frustrate me? What should I do to get my money back?

                  I HAD REACHED THE KANPUR RAILWAY STATION WITH MY FAMILY (WIFE AND 2 DAUGHTER)TO CATCH THE 2302 DN KOLKATA RAJDHANI EXPRESS ON 29TH OCTOBER 2008.
                  THE TRAIN WAS SCHEDULED ON PLATFORM NO 6. SO WE ALSO WAITING ON PLATFORM NO 6 FOR THE TRAIN. BUT SUDDENLY OUR TRAIN REACHED AT PLATFORM NO5 WITHOUT ANNOUNCEMENT. (PLATFORM NO 5 AND 6 ARE NOT JOINED PLARFORM)
                  WE ARE LUCKY TO CATCH THE TRAIN AT THE LAST MINUTES BY RUNNING WITH HEAVY LUGGAGE WITH SOME ACCIDENT WITH OTHER PASSANGER.

                  NOW MY QUESTION IS IT RIGHT TO CHANGE THE PLATFORM OF RAJDHANI EXPRESS(VIP TRAIN) WITH OUT PRE ANNOUNCEMENT.
                  WE ARE LUCKY TO CATCH THE TRAIN BUT MANY OF OUR COPASSENGER COULD NOT CATCH THE TRAIN.

                  I HAVE ALREADY MEET THE STATION MASTER AND ANNOUNCEMENT INCHARGE(MR MISHRAJI) REGARING THIS MATTER. BUT I DID NOT GOT
                  APPROPRIATE ANSWER.

                  Indian Railway — Last minute Platform Changing

                  Dear sir

                  Railway is playing game with the life of the passengers by the way of
                  last minute changing of platform after displaying it on the diaplay boards at the
                  entrance of the concerned station.
                  Please refer the Train No.12633/Kanaykumari Exp.
                  On 26th June at Tiruchchirapli(TPJ) station even at 22.00 hrs the
                  Platfrom no. was shown as 4.The coach position indication disply also shown as Platform no.4
                  I along with my aged mother 70YRS & other family members were waiting
                  at the P. NO.4 for the train.Ticket PNR Nos.[protected] &[protected](one ticket
                  was taken from MLMR QUOTA).BUT at Plat form no.4 at that time another
                  exp train to Rameswaram was halting for a long period.
                  Later we heard announcement that the train 12633 is arriving at Platfrom No.3
                  Along with my family including very old lady & luggages I had to run
                  throgh the sub way to reach Plat form NO.3..We felt utmost deparate & more over
                  the coach position indicating display board also not working
                  there at Platform No.3..Terrible task to find the B1&B3 coatches..Last minute we alight the train cursing our fate & of course the irresponsibilyty of the
                  official at that Station.
                  Please note that Last minute platform chages causes heavy
                  rush,stampades & major accidents.
                  So the authorties may kindly look in to the matter & fix the
                  responsibility of the officials..

                      Honourable Sir,

                      I am a resident of Kulpahar (Dist Mahoba, U.P.) and a Doctor by profession. I have been traveling through U.P. Sampark Kranti, Train No. 2447 quiet frequently. All the time I suffered with lots of problems here at the railway station kulpahar because of the Railway Employees of different Cadres like Station Master and Running staff of the train i.e. the conductor of the A.C. Coach and the attendant.
                      Sir, Kulpahar is the Tahsil Headquarter of Dist. Mahoba having a Population of around 40 -45 Thousand along with the Biggest Missionary Church of the area. The station is on the other side of the town. We the resident of whole area wants the platform on the town side which is already sanctioned since last 16 years. Kindly notice.
                      Sir, This time that is on 29th of October I was traveling with a E.Ticket, PNR No.[protected] From Kulpahar to Nizamuddin in A.C. 2 tier. I requested on behalf of the co travelers traveling towards delhi after holiday, to ASM kulpahar to manage the Jhansi –Banda Passenger train(train no. 215 down) on the Main Line as it was coming before to U.P.Sampark Kranti ( as this is a single track section and crossing takes place on stations only) so that train no. 2447 may be taken on the loop line for the convenience of the reserve passengers. But the ASM ignored it .It created
                      lots of nuisance with the passengers having reserve tickets in finding out their different reserve bogies. I being a cardiac patient along with my pregnant wife did
                      faced the same. The Major Problem I faced was the behavior of the Conductor Mr.S.K.Gaur and theAttandant Mr.Babulal who did not open the door although we were shouting outside with our tickets, telling that we are a bonafied passenger of the A.C .2 Tier. He opened the door and shut it again. Then when the train was just about to move both of them discussed something and finally opened the door .It was a risk on my life in boarding a running train while standing between two trains .Please also note that the train staff was drunk at that time.
                      May I pray you to have an amendment for the important trains to be taken on the platform only specially in night hours .Sir, unfortunately it is not the first time when incidences like this happening, almost all the times we face the same problem.
                      Several times the big authorities like DRM and other were requested by the public to manage the same . This time also I longed a complain in train’s complaint book & with station suprentendent at Nizamuddin rly station copy of which is with me.

                      Kindly do the needful as it is being repeated again and again.

                        i don, t know some one will take action against this misshaping or not but i want to make it clear the incident was so much shocking that i can, t abide that and i will cross my limit to give proper result for the corruption of Mr. P K Tiwari(TTE).
                        this incident happened on 24th of October before the occasion of diwali.i was coming to lucknow by Kaifiyat express(train no: 2226).i was having reservation by irctc but waiting list number 9.my two friends were with me 2 seats were confirmed and one was waiting.we tree guys were using 2 seats only.i was waiting for TTE for confirmation of seats.but at 2 am mr. p. k. tiwari came and start talking rudely that your ticket is not confirmed and you can, t stay in sleeper compartment.He said GAVE ME 200 RUPEES then i will permit you to sit in this sleeper coach.i was shocked i was also having ticket but he was asking for 200 rupees as a bribe.i request many times this is wrong but he was not ready to hear me after that i denied to give him bribe then he said now you will have to pay 210 fare and 250 penalty and started crying rudely.I note down his name and give him 460 rupees again to sit is sleeper compartment he said"" agar chup chap 200 de diye hote to aram se chale jate"" .Any way i don, t believe o offer bribe.But tell me onething i paid 275+460=730 rupees from nizamddin to lucknow.

                        Also in Dhanbad express from Allapi to Dhanbad, TTE are more worst. They simply collect money from the general ticket passengers and allow them to sit in the Sleeper compartments. I often travel in the train and I always see TTE collecting minimum of Rs 100 and allowing general ticket passengers in sleepers. In this way TTEs are earning money and are getting money in their pockets instead of government account.

                        In the case of reservation in train waiting list passengers will not get reserwation but people who buy general ticket and give some money to TTE, their ticket will be conformed. So i request people who are sincere and dedicated to nation, please try to oppose this type of situations. Government personals are there to serve the people not to be served by people.

                        All the railway tarrifs are to be well understood by the people to fight against this type of situation.
                        i have thought of a solution to this problem of corruption in indian railways. having a display in the rac bogie that provides the list of rac pupil who deserve a seat is something of which i was thinking of. though expensive i think this is the only possible and feasible solution to a dampening situation like this. ensuring that tte's not entertained to any such seat vacancy information would offer him zero scope for corruption.the need for such a solution would depend on the intensity of the problem. so could anyone mail me about the essentiality of an expensive solution like this.

                          I am a frequent traveler by Indian Railways.The complaint is for the date: 29th Oct, 2008, my PNR no. [protected]. Place: Nangal Dam Station (NLDM).

                          I got e-ticket done through irctc and my seat was confirmed as C-1/73 (AC) in train Jan Shatabdi Express(2058) from NLDM to NDLS.

                          The boogie C-1 had only 70 seats and it was a fault with irctc or the Railways. The booking supervisor on the NLDM station misbehaved and harassed me so much. He had already seen my name as confirmed in the chart yet he said that I have typed the ticket on computer my self and have brought it here for refund. Blamed me for forgery and also said that I may not get a seat at all.

                          Is this the way, female passengers are to be beleaguered and besieged by the railways staff. Who is to take responsibility for it? Is this the treatment to be given to a passenger who is traveling via a confirmed seat?

                          Kindly take it into consideration.

                          Otherwise I shall have to lodge a complaint in consumer forum or media.

                            Gold ornaments to the tune of Rs. 2, 00, 000 Approx. (Rupees Two Lakhs) have been stolen from my suit case as I had gone to Mumbai for celebrate Durga Pooja. I boarded the train at Panvel (Navi Mumbai) in Sampark Kranti Express (Train No. 2653) vide PNR No.[protected] for New Delhi. Probably this theft might have taken within Nizamuddin and New Delhi Railway station as three-four persons entered in the compartment at Nizamuddin Railway Station and they asked that the train will stop for two minutes and keep your luggage ready at the Gate. They encircled my wife and mother-in-law. No other valuable is found to have been stolen except the gold ornaments.
                            Therefore I have lodge my complaint to Police Station: Railway Station, New Delhi under IPC Act 1860
                            I hope somebody will be able to bring this control and the staff who are involved are brought to task

                            This is very unfortunate and these type of incident occours in Indian trains frequently.
                            Indian railways will be the world longest and fantastic deparments..
                            We have gone through the same experiance . While travelling from Mumbai to Darbhanha on 9.7.09 in two tier A.c., there were only two of my family members upto Manmad. Gold worth Rs. 1.5 lac is stolen from briefcae & no other articles were stolen. we suspect the Pantry staaf.

                            I was travelling in Mumbai for Training purposes, from 15/08/2010, On 29/08/2010, i had went from Kharghar to Kurla to meet my friend. Late evening, at around 06 pm while returning from Kurla Railway Station, 3-4 persons trapped me and snatched my Gold Chain worth Rs 35,000/- and got disappeared. I consulted one of the Police staff on duty at Kharghar, who told me that he can't help me out as i need to go to Kurla again to lodge a complaint.

                            I being into service and new in Mumbai, could not afford to go again to lodge a complaint.

                            Now what should i do?
                            Myself, Rajan Dhir, from Chandigarh had come to Mumbai on 15th August 2010, for Training purposes to newly joined Co., when my Gold Chain was snatched from Kurla Railway Station, worth Rs 35, 000/-, when i boarded on train on 29th August 2010, at 06.10 pm, from Kurla Station to Kharghar Station. Three Four persons trapped me, in a way that 2 of the persons pushed me from back, and one of them snatched the chain and got disappeared.
                            Consulted the police officials, but in vain. Was a very bitter kind of experince in Local trains.
                            I think Police is not in proper action to put a control on such mishaps.

                              This complaint is regargding the railway station at Gandhidham. When ever the morning train is arriving the Station master is allocating it to 2nd no platfrom. Instead it must be allocated 1st no platform.

                              The passenger face lot of difficulties they need to walk a lot and carry their luggages . Even there are not enough number of coolies available on the platform.

                              Last time when I when into station master room and inquired why the train was allocated to 2nd no platfrom even if the 1st no platform was empty. They don't have any valid reason for this, just said that the respective train is dedicated to 2nd no platform only.

                              Come on this is ridiculous railways are running trains for the facility of passenger and not to harass them. Just because of some stupid station master who has decided not to allocate morning trains to 1st no platform even if it is empty.

                              In my opinion this must be changed immediately so as to facilitate passenger from walking long distance on platforms. Subject to availability of empty platforms.

                              Kindly take strict actions against the same.

As may be railway authority must be aware about the same but i just want to convey my message to them. This is not the complain but i just want draw attention to the autority only.                                 Indian Railway dont know what punctuality is? Hundreds of man hour is lost in waiting for the trains. Generally wrong information is given at the enquiry counters. Misbehaviour by the Railway staff is common. People fear to enquire.
                                Announcement of late running is accompanied with a phrase " Inconvinience caused to passenger is regretted". I think as per Right to information every passenger has got right to know the cause of late running of trans so I request the railway authority to inform the cause of Late running of the Trains in there announcement. Most of the late running of the train is due to negligience of Railway Staff and the protection by the act.

                                It also happens with us while waiting for HNH-6 from NZM to NZM, generally it announce that the train is late for 15 minutes which continues to one hour and subsequent cancellation thereon. It appears that the railway authorities saving their personnels and creating problems to daily commuters which is all against the law and ethics of the railway authorities. Despite of several complaints made thereon, no positive or fruitful result has been arisen from the railway authorities. If Rly. authorities listen to our complaint they are requested to please issue necessary instructions to the concerns to avoid unnecessary harassment to the daily commuters. As such there is no alternative trains are available from NZM to New Delhi onward. Kindly look into the matter. Regards

                                My name is Saurabh Raizada & I'm very proud of my country because of it's services. But this is to inform that my pride was hit severely yesterday that is on 11th of October seeing the condition of Indian Railway System. I booked an e-ticket for my brother Mr.Gaurav Raizada in Train no.2271,i.e, LKO-NDLS Duranto Express, pnr no.[protected], transaction id [protected]. I had heard that this is the the latest & also a non-stop, super fast train launched by our honourable Railway Minister Mamta Banerjee & is known for it's punctuality. The scheduled departure of the train was at 11:30 pm & since the train originates from lucknow we reached there within time. The train arrived at the platform at around 12:45 am & left the station at around 2:15 am. It reached New Delhi at about 11:00 am rather than it's scheduled arrival which is around 7:30 am. So it's my request to the Indian Railways to please consider my complaint & not loose the faith of their customers so that we can remain proud of Indian Railways which is called the "Life line of India".

This train Siwan jn (11-may-16) 01 hrs late but reached ALJN (12-May-16) 05 hrs late. Why sir... You pick the previous one month report of the destination station (ANVT). You find the reason. Please find the problem.

                                My name is Boniface and I am a daily passenger who avails the railway transport system. I leave for Ernakulam in the morning and reach back in the evening. I daily wait at the station for the train 56371 Guruvayur Ernakulam Passenger... which is to reach the station at Divine Nagar in Kerala by 07:50 a.m. Nevertheless, the train always arrives only after 08:00 a.m. In the evening I return by train 56364 Ernakulam Shornur Passenger which should depart at 17:35. Right now as I am writing this comment, already the train departed 3 mins late. Added to this, is the haltdown at subsequent stations to let other trains pass is also annoying. Another problem which i have seen with the Indian Railway Stations is cleanliness and hygiene. No station is found to be clean and devoid of foul smell. The boogies are also rather shabby, no proper lighting, no proper fans or powe outlets and the toilets... are just a nightmare. It is like crawling into a grave after digging through. I just dont know why are the authorities concerned not taking any actions to improve the system.

                                  I travelled from Madurai to Chennai by Pandian Superfast Express on 18/10/2008 by 3-tier sleeper class. I have few points with respect to recently introduced 3-tier in side berths. I hope Railways take required action to take care of the same.
                                  1. No more sitting is possible in the side lower berth.
                                  2. The middle berth comes right at the middle of the window and hence opening or closing window is a problem. If it is raining, by the time one realizes and closes the window, the lower berth would have got totally wet (I had this experience).
                                  3. Side middle & upper berth hardly get any air from the fan because the window is blocked and is available only to the lower berth
                                  4. Fan & Light switches are not visible and they are behind the middle berth. If one has to operate the same, the passenger in the middle / lower berth has to be disturbed. Imagine a lady sleeping there and you try put on / off light / fan there is every possibility of hand landing up in a wrong place and could cause an embarrassment to all
                                  5. Reaching upper berth is real challenge. Your head will certainly hit the light fitting or fan cover and you cannot help it. Only children below 12 years can sleep in the upper / middle berth.

                                  I really doubt the person who suggested this has ever travelled by train or must be an official who only travel by 2nd or 1st AC compartments. It is horrible. In fact quite a lot of other passengers also shared the same concern and they really go hard on TTEs. What can the poor TTEs do on this?

                                  I request the Indian railway authorities to evaluate this from the point of passenger convenience and not just from the point of increasing revenue to Railways.

                                  I completely agree .I also had BAD (hrrible) experence with the middle side berth .Railways started treating Passengers and Goods in a same way ..

                                  Hope government will look at this and this 3 berth system will get scrapped soon .
                                  I do agree with Sreeram and GyanBhat.
                                  Well Railways is able to add 10 berths to very SL coach but created more trouble to the passengers. Especially to the aged. Imagine, how difficult it is for them to get into that slot.
                                  Moreover, the Reservation system is also modified to this extent One has to verify his/her berth as per the pasted chart on the bogie, else we had it.

                                  Why can't the system be modified, before they plan to introduce such changes???? Sure, that is is a tough job, hence they neer touched on the changes in reservation system.

                                  Just unable to understand, how this can be taken to the notice of IR Management ????
                                  I also faced this problem during my trip to Chennai from Bangalore. The train I went to Chennai starts at 11 from Bangalore. All the passengers started sleeping as soon as they got in top the train. All the passengers are disturbed after half an hour by the TTE for checking tickets and eventually TTE shifted all the passengers. This made a big uncomfortable event to the small kids and elderly people.
                                  The wise guy who has suggested this NEW SEATING Arrangement should be made to travel atleast a 1 day journey on the side -upper berth n he will come to know wat passengers go through. Its a pathetic suggestion. Who knows tomorrow railways will put a mat under the lower berths n ACCOMODATE people there too just for INCREASING THE REVENUES. Railways has more or less started to treat people like GOODS. I hope this decision is curbed soon.

                                  I too faced similar problems on several occassions. This seating arrangement is worse not only passenger comfort is concerned, but also on safety aspect . If some mishap occurs, no one can have access to the emergency windows, ironically, placed next to the unwanted side middle bearths. The railway board/minister should take note of these things immediately.
                                  Dear friend I am designer of the train passenger coach .I too strongle agree with ur opinion, but do u know that this arrangement is suggested by r.laloo prasad yadav, who is said to be a tallented railway minister, bot as foolish as local vendoe who want to make only profit in spite of name and satisfaction from passenger.
                                  For your kind information this side berth is removed from all trains as per railway boards order.
                                  Hey Guys, NO THIS IS MAKING ME THINK Seriously. I have already booked my tickets in AC 3 Tier for Kolkata from Hyderabad in Falaknama EXP. I have a small kid and no I am thinking what to do. Though there in my ticket both the berths are LOWER, however not sure if there will be any problems with the sitting arrangements when I board the train.

                                  Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
                                  The inclusion of new berths in the side-row of the sleeper coaches by The Railways add discomforts to the passengers. The positions of all the three side berths are not so comfortable that even one can’t sit on the any of the berth when laid, if one wants to take something in. In addition to the fleets one has to do, the SU berth person has to suffer from suffocation and the radiation of the heat where one cannot find any provision of ventilation there. One has no other option, other than passing the night on the bed suffering. It shows the great interest of The Railways in laying the berths but its lack ness providing ventilation or even in changing the position of the fan, which was fitted previously to meet the then SU berth position. Secondly, in case of exigencies, the Emergency Windows are of no use, because a lot much of time will lapse in searching for the misted emergency exit and to close the new SM berth. The Railways has to reconsider the issue urgently and should expedite in removing the greedy-berths. It should not act as a monopoly, but, also honour the minimum comfort needed by a passenger. There should be equal comfort ness for equal amount paid by the passenger
                                  It is very horrible to travel on Side Upper seat.
                                  i completly agree with this point. its simply a uncomfetable in middle birth. i experiencd it when i was return from balsad to indore by avntika exp. whole night i was awake in 3rd ac. its to remove from ac class.
                                  Totally agree with the above complaint..
                                  The Side Lower berth used to be my first choice while making a train reservation but it's no more.
                                  After the railways have added one middle berth between the side berths the whole comfort is completely lost rather the journet becomes more hectic and annoying. Also you can't put your luggage below the lower side berth as it is too low and you can sit comforatbly on upper side berth as it is too high.

                                  Please take back your decision of adding middle berth between the two side berths !!!

When my person came back with the tickets this descrepancy was noticed by me. As I incurred a financial loss of Rs.364/-, therefore I immediately rushed to Reservation Counter. The same booking clerk was present on the counter. When I brought the descrepancy to his notice and requested him to return the excess amount by modifying the tickets as filled- up by me in the Reservation Forms, he asked me to get cancelled the extra 2 tickets issued by him. I did not agree to it and argued with him that why shall I bear the Cancellation Charges due to his fault. He did not agree at all and finally I was constrained to tell him that in case he does not modify the tickets at his end, I will complain to the Higher Authorities of Railways, against which he said " You go to Railway Minister. Mera woh bhi kuch nahin bigad sakta hai" Finally I had no option except to leave the Reservation Counter.

                                    I am bringing the matter to your kind notice with a request to please arrange for the refund of Rs. 364/- to me charged by the Railways due to the fault of Reservation Clerk at Rudrapur City.

                                    IT IS ALMOST A MONTH SINCE I HAVE CANCELLED ONE OF MY TKT.AND THE REFUND WAS WRONGLY SENT TO ICICI INSTED OF TO SBI.NOW THAT IT LOOKS YOU HAVE REFUNDED AGAINST YOUR RECEIPT NO.7415.27052009 ON 27/05/09.AS ON DATE IT HAS NOT BEEN CREDITED TO MY SBI ACCOUNT.KINDLY EXPIDITE THE REFUND.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    This is Rishab here. from past few days I am trying to book confirmed tatkal ticket before 5days.
                                    But when I am about to book tatkal ticket it shows me every time that you have been log out.
                                    Soon after booking of all confirmed tatkal tickets over.Afetr that I can book tatkal tickets but that to only Waiting list ticket.Before 2months It was all fine we can make Tatkal confirmed tickets
                                    Can you please let me know Why all this problem occur suddenly.

                                      A representative of airtel Name Hiren, His mobile no, [protected] has given me these connections committing following lines.
                                      1. he didnot show me any paper of tariff plan of airtel company. He totally deal verbaly.
                                      2. He said, that you will be charged 202 as rental per month & you will get 200 minutes free.
                                      3. If you will not use the phone you will get bill amount nil
                                      After 1st bill of mobile i notice that the bill is not as per his commitment. then i contect to Mr. hiren .
                                      Mr. Hiren said that
                                      4. He should get it orrected through his boss.
                                      5. If it should not be done by company he should give a cheque from his account to pay the bill.
                                      6. I request him that i cannot afford this bill so please disconnect my connection, He promise to me to do so.
                                      I couldnot get not a single apportinuty which was committed by Mr. Hiren
                                      Mr. Hiren misguide & Mispleaded me & give me this connection for his personnel interest.
                                      Now i am getting calls from Airtel for payment. While i have paid my acual uses amount keeping in hand the disputted amount
                                      I requested to costumercare to disconnect my connection so that further charges couldnot be levied on me but no one had listrn my problem, My connection is still live . i requested to solve the matter but no action was taken till date.
                                      The airtel company is doing his business through the persons having no responsibility. They got there target making fool to the costumer, They hand over the costumer to the ompany & then company will any how got the payment.
                                      I talk several time to the executives of compamy & i found that no one says that Mr. Hiren is on wrong path, He may do so. I can say with confidence that the company knowingly doing so, only aiming to increase the no. of customers.
                                      I request that remaining bill should be recover from Mr. Hiren. Thats over.

                                        Me & my wife travelled by 2301 Calcutta Rajdhani Express on the 6th of October 2008, from Howrah to New Delhi, by AC-3 Tier, coach no. BE-1, holding confirmed tickets, (PNR[protected]. Our seat numbers were 8 and 24.

                                        There was a group of 8 members, travelling in the same coach (i.e. BE-1) on the same date (i.e. 6th of October 2008), by the same train (i.e. 2301), who had only two confirmed berths, berth number 3 and berth number 4. The six other members were holding waitlisted tickets. Before the train started from Howrah, there was an announcement over the public address system inside the train that passengers whose tickets were not shown as confirmed after preparation of the chart were being requested to get down from the train and not to occupy berths/seats reserved for passengers holding confirmed tickets.

                                        However, after the train started, this above mentioned group of 8 members continued to travel in the train in spite of holding only two confirmed berths. The TTE inspected their tickets and did not raise any objection in this regard. Rather, the TTE suggested that the 6 additional members holding waitlisted ticket adjust themselves in the seats along with other passengers and continue their journey to their destination. These extra waitlisted passengers were provided with full catering services and bed linen by the pantry staff and coach attendant respectively. Though I held a confirmed seat (no. 8), I could not sit on my seat comfortably as these excess passengers were occupying my seat. I was very surprised when I saw the TTE visit the coach just before the train reached New Delhi station and enquire these waitlisted passengers whether they had a comfortable journey or not.

                                        I was extremely dis-satisfied as my journey was very uncomfortable. I raised objection and demanded for the Complaint Book, first from the Coach Attenadant. The Coach Attendant never took any interest in my verbal complaint. Instead, he asked me to talk to the TTE. Next, I asked for the Complaint Book from the TTE. He too ignored my verbal complaint and did not give me the Complaint Book, even though I demanded for the same to be obtained from the Train Superintendant.

                                        My complaints are, how can excess passengers, holding waitlisted tickets be allowed by the TTE to travel in the most prestigious train like Rajdhani Express ? How can waitlisted passengers avail of free pantry services and bed-linen while travelling in such a prestigious train ? And, why as a genuine passenger, holding a confirmed ticket, was not provided with the Complaint Book both by the Coach Attendant and the TTE ? Why did I have to travel uncomfortably, inspite of holding a confirmed ticket, my seat being occupied by waitlisted passengers ?

                                        I am sorry to hear your story. However, it is the majority of the society of India which is very selfish and thinks only for himself. Don't blame the TTE, he is also amongst us. Blame those fellow Indian travellers who were being so selfish.. It's the society which needs to change full stop!!! Cheers
                                        me an my family often travel to solapur from nagpur to solapur by 1040 gondia kolhapur maharashtra express . Actually there is no direct train from nagpur to solapur but one sleeper coach of maharashtra express is connected to mumbai chennai mail at daund and goes to solapur.As this is the last coach in train most of the public possessing unreserved tickets travel in this coach sometimes there is no TTE present in coach, there is no proper watersupply in toilets in coach, beggers smokers railway staff possesing passes (railway mazdoors) who have no permission to travel in reserved coaches misbehaves with public.sometimes the condition of coach becomes more miserable after akola station. We have several times filed complaints against this condition so condition has slight improved till bhusaval but after bhusaval the condition becomes same again so i want that railway should do something for this coach of maharashtra express from nagpur to solapur .
