Respected Sir,
I have to file a complaint for the online fraud (through upi) that I suffered on 21st my, 2022 by a mobile number [protected]. The details of the case are as follows :
I had booked a hotel through Oyo Rooms and had paid an amount of Rs.1057 online in advance. I received a call from this number [protected], mentioning all of my booking details including my booking id (T44H1964), hotel name and date of check-in(22nd May, 2022) and check-out (25th May, 2022).
He asked me to pay the remaining amount via a google pay id ([protected]@axisbank) on 21st May 2022 at 5:31 pm, giving the reason behind this to be a shortage of rooms and more no. of customers already waiting for check-ins.
Since I was already in train, and this was a medical visit (I have to see a doctor at CMC, Vellore on 23rd May), therefore I couldn't afford to get my booking cancelled and hence paid the remaining amount of Rs. 3172 to the upi id [protected]@axisbank. I called again to verify the payment made but he said the payment is stucked in his payment gateway and he made me to pay Rs. 3173 and Rs. 6345 (screenshot attached) and then realised that it was a fraud when the phone number was found switched off immediately after the later transaction. I searched the number on truecaller and it showed Oyo Rooms Fraud (screenshot attached).
So I humbly request the authority to kindly register my complaint and take suitable actions and refund my money back.
