I booked a hotel on 1st May around 6 PM; while booking I asked the person about the hotel kitchen, but he did not tell me that there is no kitchen in the hotel, and he provided me with the hotel number. As I had a flight, I could not call the hotel; however, I called them as I landed to give them my dinner order, as I was going to be late to the hotel. To my surprise, they told me that they do not have a kitchen and I have to order from outside. I instantly cancelled my booking. But I received a refund of Rs 651, though I paid Rs1824. Since then I am trying to contact them on their so-called customer care number [protected]. No one is there to help, instant a staff named Sameer was talking unprofessionally with me. I mailed them, no response. Call their service desk, called the number again and pressed 2, chatted on the OYO chat app, no response. After calling them so many times, I received a message from OYO, that your booking for Varanasi has been booked from today for 1 night. I was so pissed and then received a call from hotel where it was booked, I told them about the issue and asked them if they can cancel it, they said no it is you who have to cancel it, Now I have to go through the cancelling procedure again because some stupid person must have made the booking which I never asked for.
I was so angry and frustrated with their post-booking service, that I decided to never ever use OYO and delete my account permanently. But again, no option to delete the account neither on their application nor website. I called again to the same number and asked to speak to the senior, she said she cannot do that. They leave a customer with frustration and anger and helplessness, to just forget their money and let it go. As I will be doing. This was the worst experience I had, would never ever use OYO or recommend anyone to do so. Worst customer service post booking.
