Dear Sir,

My Reliance ID[protected]
I brought Onida LCD TV in April 11. Along with this i got Reliance Big TV HD Set-Top box free. When i got reliance Big TV installed at my place, I got charged 1200 Rs for installation fees. First problem i faced is that, I did not receive HDMI Cable along with Set-top Box not from ONIDA HD LCD.
After Installation, HD Set-Top Box got failed or Stop Working and hence i got it replaced by Company 2 to 3 times due to warranty period of set-top box.
Last Set-Top Box was replaced 5 to 6 months back and now again it got stop working. Now My Warranty period is finished in this april 12 as of one year warranty.

When i asked reliance custom care to see in this matter, as i have face this problem 3 to 4 times in a one year. They asked me to get new set-top box @ 2000 Rs. my concern is, this should not be done. If such set-top box is keep stop working after 3 to 6 months, I am not in position to buy new one every time. This is not good quality product if people have to complain for same problem every 3 or 6 months.

Please look into this problem and let me know what should be done in this case.

As of now i told to customer care for not using this service any more but i am writting you for 1200 rs that i paid as installation charge which is again really high compare to market.

    Subject: Complaint Reg :Reliance Digital Tv vide ID No. [protected]
    I am a new customer for Reliance Digital Tv vide ID No.
    [protected]. wef 23/3/12 The connection was established this week only. I have a
    serious complaint which I brought to the notice (As soon as I
    discoverd after installing the connection ) to the customer care call
    centre and registered my complaint. But after so many days as I have not get
    any satisfactory answer I am writing to you.
    The agent from Apco Ind. came to our locality for expalining about
    the Reliance Digital Dish connection ( why we switch over to relaince
    then from others ) , As I have alrady subsribed to Hathways connection
    with Set top box at my home. As per expalination by the agent ( Mr
    Nitin ) which he expalined on a piece of paper to me & my wife ( under
    whose name this connection is ).
    He said in this the relaince gave us a HD set top box + five months
    connection free ( all channels ) & after wards it was converted to
    Bronz pack with 125 channels (+ with all free to air channels). As I
    was convienced so that I paid him a cheque of Rs 1490 /- and also
    paid Rs. 500/ as installaion charges on the day to the insatallion
    person.
    But as soon as my connection signal started after 24Hrs of the
    inastallaion I found the following ( which I immediately told to the
    customer service executive on phone at the call centre):
    1. The set top box provideed to me is not a HD set top box . ( tis
    was the only reason for me to switching over from Hathways to Reliance
    )
    2. I am not getting the all free to air cahnnels ...i.e. Delhi Ajtak
    ( which is free to air ) & many others.
    3. The assurance for 3 months free all channels ( only a selected No
    of cahannnels are comming & most of them again are HD compatiable_)

    So I request you to kindly look into the matter and provide me the
    solution as I am still into the lookin period or refund me back my
    money and I will surrunder the dish & set top box.

    N.B : I am trying to sort out this from the very first day of the installaion and after complaint to the customer service till date ( today 27/4/12) it was not resolved.

      I am Akshay Dongarwar from Nagpur. Very recently, some people from
      Reliance had come to advertise about the Dish TV. The explained the
      various positives and made some commitments.
      First of all, they said we will be provided with an HDMI set-top box
      which comes with an "optical cable" wire. On the delivery date, the
      engineers came with a normal box that comes with the carbon wire. The
      main reason we agreed upon using Reliance dish TV was because the
      promoters pressed upon the damage that conventional wires do to the
      TV. It was the only reason, we even decided to consider dish TV as an
      option, set aside Reliance dish TV.
      Secondly, we had called the person not to process the cheque before 15
      hrs from issuing him the cheque because of personal reasons(feedbacks
      from associates). But still the cheque was put to processing and Rs
      1490 was debited from the account, in spite of telling the Reliance
      promoter not to do so. But we did not make an issue out of it because
      we decided to give it a try nevertheless.
      Thirdly, when the engineers came with ordinary box(not the HDMI one)
      and normal carbon cable, we called up the customer service number in
      Nagpur. The person responsible told us that we cannot get the HDMI
      set-top box and optical cable unless we payout Rs1100 more. It is
      extremely irresponsible on Reliance's part to even come up with this, let
      alone they asking for more money.
      Fourthly, I have been trying to reach their toll free number [protected]
      (1-10) every 0.5 hour since 5 days. Do the maths. Not once was
      the call connected to an authority. Not once.
      Fifthly, we kindly requested the person-in-charge (who called himself
      HR-Head, I doubt it), to either provide us with the HDMI box and
      optical wire cable as given in written by the promoter and DULY
      SIGNED, or just remove the box. The TV has not been activated yet. He
      remarks "Sir, the promoters were new and had very little knowledge
      about what they were selling. It was a mistake from their side." We
      hardly care if the promoters were new or experienced, it is the
      company's problem. When they give the commitment in writing and sign
      on it, take our sign too, its becomes a LEGAL OBLIGATION of his to
      provide us with that all in Rs 1490.
      Sixthly, the "HR-head" is refusing to disconnect the box and dish. He
      says the money can also be not refunded as there is no such company
      policy.

      Now, I am complaining because i know Reliance is not synonymous to such hopeless service and
      careless and irresponsible act. Not one person from their staff is
      taking the responsibility of what has happened and instead are asking
      us to pay the money? It is not about money. I could pay you Rs1100
      just like we paid Rs1490 within half an hour. But we want it removed
      and reimbursed.The question is when we told them to not process the
      cheque, when the promoters promised and gave in writing and signed the
      things that would be provided and is not provided, and when we tell
      the personnel to either give the services as promised or remove the
      dish and set-top box, their staff is acting like spineless
      professionals. The written and signed paper is still in our
      possession. It need not be stressed that he signed it and it becomes
      very legal in court. We do not wish to go forward till we know someone
      from the upper management is taking care of the matter. It takes just
      Rs10 to file a RTI and putting up a case in district court is cheaper.
      We have all the proofs, the copy on which the promoters explained, the
      proof of the signed paper which says HDMI box and optical wire in
      Rs1490 and also the proof of call that was made to the promoter to not
      process the cheque.

        This is saleem Khan, I am using Big TV since 2009 but from that time I faced many problems to signal issues, and from 4-5 months customer care don't dont want to resolve technical issue, they say directly to send engineer which charged 175 rupees and last also i faced the same but 2nd CC female executive Solved the problem and she made setting from there.

        I don't want this type customer care and BIg TV But I am very sad to write about Reliance Product because I had trust the "Reliance"

          I am having a connection of reliance big TV DTH service (smart card no. is[protected] which is registerd in the name of Mrs. Sucheta Uday Javeri, which I have bought in 2008. Now all of a sudden my name has been vanished and the name appeared is some Shaikh Rajuddin, it means the company must not have verified the name on the document or it's a complete negligence of the company. I have tried calling the company's customer care no but instead of giving me satisfactory answers, the representatives started arguments with me. Tomorrow any terrorist can forge our documents and buy simcard or any other products on our name. It is our request to the company that they should be very strict and particular about about the names mentioned on the documents.

          i want to know that reliance had already a gsm service with name "smart " but now they have launched a new gsm service, now call from smart to smart in std is free by a recharge of 500 in assam, i want to know that is it valid from "smart to reliance gsm also"...please tell me as soon as possible

            i have purchased reliance digital tv set top box with 3 month free subscription packs.After 3 month when i recharged my digital tv account and also activated the bronze pack with 125 channels,but till now i am not able to see even a single channel on my tv.I have also complainted on customer care of reliance digital tv 10-11 times,but no any typa of solution i get.Please resolve my problem as soon as possible.

                  from 8/02/2012 my dth connection is suspended. I contacted the reliance big tv customer care service and they gave me the reason that i have upgraded my set up box 4m SD to HD therfore they are charging me rs2200 for the upgradation. The reliance people hve charged e wrongly bcoz i m still using the SD box. i hve complaint d reliance ppl on8th de assured me that i vl be refunded withn 72 hours bt i did nt gt any refund i hve been assured around 5 times by the reliance ppl bt i hve nt gt any kind ogf refund and my connection is suspended for 10 days........

                    I have booked a Reliance Digital TV connection on dated 1/11/11 by the name of Ms. Sandhya More, payment has been done by State Bank of India Check No. 991946 of date 1/11/11 and the Representative was Ms. Mona Shalu whose Code was 124-0001.
                    This connection has not been installed and after frequently talking to the concerned authorities of Reliance Big TV. their is no noticeable response.
                    The company policy states that their will be an installation with in 7 working days but still now IE; 16/2/12 their is no authority of the company who has contacted me.
                    Tell me what Should be done or weather can i lodge a complaint in Consumer Forum against the company.

                        I have a new TV LED with HDmi Function. Contacted Toll-free No., but got disappointing replay "Set not available".
                        Can I get the conversion done at the earliest? Please dot apply the business logic of keeping me at the end of the Q as I am a long-term customer and already paid for one year recently and have no option but to wait or loose the subscription.

                        Im not able to view set max, star Plus, sony etc hindi channels. often i do get disconnected and error number 400 is displayed. Could you please correct this problem. Some of other channels are coming properly.

                          I am Sanjay Tiwari from Gorakhpur (UP),India. My Big TV Serial No is[protected] and my registered Mobile No-[protected]. Since few days I have noticed that some new channels are added to my list for which I never subscribed.My present plan as subscribed by me is some Rs- 230/-plan.
                          On 27.01.2012 I called Big TV toll number and found Mr Mahesh.I explained him my problem and he told that I subscribed for Rs-375/-plan on 13.01.2012. I informed him this is totally false and that I never subscribed for such new plan.My line was disconnected as Mr Mahesh wont help.
                          I am highly dissatisfied , I request the Big TV Managenent to intervene and restore my old plan and find who the real culprit is, who actually enhaced my plan.I again reassure I never Subscribed for plan Rs-375/-.

                          Reliance Big TV — Harrasment to the Suscriber

                          I Have Bought a Big TV Connection from Reliance World on 04-Oct-2008 and i was told that my connection will be installed within 72 hrs under work order number [protected]. despite of this
                          1) i recieved a call from BIG TV Representative from number [protected] that he will be coming on Tueday i.e. 07-Oct-2008 for istallation so i took a half day leave from my work and no body came so i regisetered a complaint against them vide compain no 77473432
                          2) i recieved a call from BIG TV Representative from number [protected] that he will be coming on Wednesday too i.e. 08-Oct-2008 for istallation so i took a half day leave from my work and no body came so i regisetered a complaint against them vide compain no 77535397
                          3) i recieved a third call from BIG TV Representative from number [protected] that he will be coming on Thrusday again i.e. 09-Oct-2008 for istallation so i took a half day leave from my work and no body came so i regisetered a complaint against them vide compain no 77588630

                          So overall i lost my 3 half days pay and till now the system is not installed and when i asked to have a word with senior manager the call center guy keep me on long hold for 50 mins and finally i hangup and called again then a call centre executive told me that there is no magares there in the office they will be comming tomorrow only
                          He he he he! Do you think Reliance really bothers about your complaints? Not at all. They already have your money now, so why will they care? Reliance mobile, reliance internet, and now this reliance Bigtv. All Reliance products are backed by worst customer service. Reliance ADAG group has highly inefficient and even corrupt managers at the district level. There is no accountability. Whether dealing with customers or local vendors, they really insult you. I have bad experience with Reliance, as i was an advertizing vendor for Reliance at Mysore and they got work done by me and did not pay. Anil's Reliance ADAG group needs to learn about customer service from elder brother Mukesh, as they have not learnt it. Its not technology but only good customer service which counts in the longterm.
                          hi i am bigtv subsciber and i purchased a set top box for rs 3990 smart plan for one year. but when i talked to customer care they told me that they have updated my account for three month plan only. when i told them to change my plan for one year as i had taken a smart plan for one year . but they saying that this offer is discontinued now and now they can't change my plan . their is not any customer fault as they had updated wrong plan on my account. now i am helpless and planning to case file on big tv.

                          i suggest everyone not to buy big tv as it is the worst service in india. they only want to make money whether by hook or crook.

                            3.good clarity
                            4.recharge made easier ,if you have a debit card
                            disadvantages
                            1.few regional channels only , thats the main drawback of reliance.
                            2.lots o[censored]seless channels ----
                            3.asianet cable tv provides 25 malayalam channels,but reliance have only 13.

                                I am Arun Kumar from F-14 Moti Nagar I have to complain against our reliance digital TV my plan is Silver + Tag plan in this plan we get a 4 months service free but my digital TV is not working from last one weak I have do a lot of complain regarding this but customer care agent ignore my problem now you do a solution of my problem.

                                  I have taken a connection on October 2011 by paying around 1900 for 6 months value sports pack. Today i wanted to change the plan to Bronze pack or to add MTV and English movies. When i contacted customer care they told me that u can change the plan to Bronze pack after recharging with 172 rs.Balance 4 months cash will be credited in to ur account. Again i asked her to make sure that balance will be credited to my account.She specifically told me that it will be credited once the bronze pack is activated.After recharging with 171 rs i called again and another person attended and he changed the plan after that he is saying that older plan is cancelled and no money will be refunded. Now i know how reliance is making money. They are cheating customers. Don't ever buy Reliance Big TV.

                                  my a/c no is[protected], i bought 1 year subscription in 9 th month of 2009. on 12 month i purchased add on value pack of rs 60.00 . after expiry of 1 month they continued the add on value pack without my request. they send me amount to pay.when i contacted they said i have to call them even if my add on pack copletes.i called them and requested to disband my add on. but they continued my add on and disconneted the 1 year subceription 2 months prior. call center people are donot responding my complaint.they donot have local complaint cell. its relaince cheating customers and earning lot of money.

                                  i am very very disappoint to your bad response my no:[protected], last month 23 mi paid 150+25+25 total 200 but my 175 wrongly transferred to technical side. i interate customer care they told it is company's fault and very shortly your money put your account (24 hours) today is November -06, but till time i have not get my money . it is serious issue i cold customer care more than 15 times every time they told it is our fault definitely your money will get your account. it is cheating. take necessary action

                                    I want to do complaint against the RELIANCE BIG TV DTH Service provider that he'll follow a new rule for his plans that in a calendar of the 12 months means 360 days rather than the universal calendar, (i.e.: 12 months is 365 or 366 days).

                                    Kindly do your appropriate action against RELIANCE BIG TV DTH Service provider, so in the future he did not be able to cheat the customer.

                                      On 27/11/2011, i was approached by Suresh (a member of APPCO group - Hyderabad) - HYBT[protected]. I ordered a HDDVR and a child HD connection.

                                      1. I was promised that I will get HDMI cables for both the connections since I pointed to him that there was a difference in price in Letsbuy.com and his price. He said the entire installation was free.

                                      Cheque - 287557 for 7580 dt. 27/11/2011 drawn for APPCO marketing.
                                      Order Copy # : 113772

                                      2. The checks were cashed on 1st December. There was no response from anybody. The reliance digital TV has a toll free number[protected] /[protected]toll free) but if I call that number it will ask if I am an existing customer or new. If I choose new it just asks for the pin code. No other input is accepted. If I say I am an existing customer then it will ask for smart card number which you cannot give if they have taken your money but have not given the connection. I wrote a couple mails to [protected]@reliancedigitaltv.com on Dec 10th. One Mr. Bharat Kundnani responded and said he will escalate the issue. On Monday the guys at hyderabad local office called and said they only have HD STB and they do not have HDDVR STB. When I argued that it is not acceptable, they somehow managed to get both and installed them at my home. As I was not at home, my brother by mistake gave the technician both the copies of the order form.

                                      3. As on date the STBs are not activated. I cannot inquire about them thru their tollfree numbers are they need the smart card numbers but the smart card numbers that I have are not activated so they are not recognised. I call the local office and they say that the systems have to activated by head office and only they can do that. The technician (Siva - [protected]) has not given me the customer copy.

                                      a) I want my Smartcards HDDVR STB[protected] and HD STB is[protected] to be activated immediately and they should start charging me from that date.

                                      b) I want the second HDMI cable also to be given to me.

                                      c) I want to know why APPCO is cheating people telling them that installation is free when the order form mentions that above 12 meters it is chargeable?

                                      from 1 week i have a problem in my dish TV,
                                      i complaint to customer care 5 times, just they r saying in 48 hours our ISP is going to visit your place but till now no one is here to check my dish TV,

                                        This is to inform you, that on 26/10/2011, I booked a reliance Big TV (DTH) from your representative Mr. R. veeraiah). he asked me to issue the cheque of Rs.1490/- in favor of your authorised booking agency i.e. M/S APPCO Marketing (India) pvt.ltd. he issue (customer copy) receipt of the cheque oder copy no:112604, but assured me that a engineer from Reliance Big TV will come within 6 days to fix the reliance BIG TV (DTH) connection..
                                        The cheque was encashed from my bank on 05/11/2011 by your agency and till date no one has come to fix the connection. I have tried to contact Pavan Kumar and R. Veeraiah([protected]) on their mobile numbers but his phones were not attended.

                                        It appears that your company in convenience with your agency have cheated me and i shall report the matter to the police and media. Besides this please note that since you have failed to supply me with the reliance Big TV connection in time, i hereby request you to refund my money within 7 days from the date of receipt of this e-mail, (complaint) failing which i shall shall be filling a written complaint against your company and your agency in the consumer court or any other court.
