Hi,

I had an issue with my reliance digital tv and called the reliance customer care. The complaint number is :[protected] dated 16/3/2013. They assigned the issue to a local service person. He came and inspected and told that issue is with LNB in the dish and he will have to change it and Rs 300 is needed for new LNB.He took the amount from my father and left after that there is no contact from him. We tried reaching his phone number : [protected]. He never picks call and most of time its switched off. When we again contacted reliance TV customer care, they are not giving us any information about the person who came to fix the issue.Also they told that They never chanrge for any change of instrument by cash. Instead they will ask to recharge that much amount once issue is fixed. Now we came to know that this was a real cheating by service person. Now we are helpless without any clue about that service person since reliance customer care is not helping us in identifying this person. Later we came to know that similar thing has happened to may others also. Please help us in this matter. Its full responsibility of reliance once they assign a service person.

reliancetv — monthly subscription

Every month i recharge my reliance digital tv with Rs. 199/- . But unfortunately every time before completion of one month i get the message on my mobile and on tv screen to recharge immediately for uninterrupted services. My recharge for one month will run only for 20 to 22 days.

Eventhough we got lots of calls on this behalf, the issue is not yer resolved. We got a call from Vatakara service centre on 23rdMarch saturday, telling that the new LNB has been sent with technician and they also took 250 rs again from the Big TV Account. Till now there is no news about technician and LNB. No idea when they are going to install it. Now the total amount loss is 550 i.e. First the technician took 300 rs for LNB now 250 has been deducted from Big Tv acount. They had promsed thst the 300 Rs which they had taken first will be returned. Which they should and must do. Please provide a status on this.

    My name is Jay Sarjine. I have bought Reliance Digital TV (smart card number is[protected] on 02.03.2013 in Pune (Old Sangavi - Mamta Nagar). At installation date I was facing error in dish TV. I had call the distributer (Bhaskar-[protected]), he said me to call reliance customer care[protected] No. The customer care executive said ask to distributer he can solve the problem & the distributer said ask to customer care officer. Currently situation is no one resolve the problem & every one giving a stupid answer to me.

    Please look into this.

    DishTV — installation problem

    do not show my a/c detail on screen
    My Experince was also very bad with Reliance ..!! Do not go with this Faltu Company .. Go with Tata Sky Either
    Bad service and agents are not response promptly. Choose another service.
    Finally yesterday the dealer, service center officer & reliance technician came to my home (Pune - Old Sangavi) & check again the set top box & they have replace the set top box. Now my all channel are showing properly.

    So now the problem has been resolve.

      Hi Sir,

      I have Reliance BIG TV installed at my home from last two year. My account no is[protected]. I was take monthly package 225rs per monthly, but I have update last recharge as 2157rs as on 8th March 2013. After recharge yearly package I lost some channels, where I recharge as confirmed by reliance customer care for the same package and same channels at same amount for the one year.

      I called customer care for the same problem many time, but they every time misguide to me.
      In my last communication, they are saying like: lost channels are not available in yearly package (2157).

      Sir, please help me on the same.

        Hi, I have Reliance Big TV installed in my home from last 2 years.From six months maximum channels give errors smart card pairing error 102, I can only watch few channels and i have platinum package which includes maximum channel fees.I already send mails to the technical support for this complaint but there is no reply and also i called many time to customer support but they disconnect the phone after receiving or disconnect the phone after waiting 30 mins or 1 hour.
        Please help me as i am paying for full services and couldn't get the same.

        I am facing the same problem too. From last 6 months i lost almost 1/2 of my channels because of SMART CARD PAIRING ERROR 102. And now i can't view even 1 channel. i have tried many times to contact the CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE but it gives me the message that ur service cannot revice calls at this time.         Hi Team,

        I planning to upgrade from STB to HD from last 1 month and for the same when i called to Customer care came to know that HD setup box stock is not available in Bangalore and informed no option available, And for the same i tried multiple dealers but still no use. And finally i got a idea that the HD box which i having will work with active smart card which was mentioned below, but i am getting error as 102 pairing error for which i called customer care today says i need to pay Rs.400/- for pairing which is pathetic service.

        1. No HD Setup Box is not available with you to upgrade
        2. I already having HD Box where you people are not ready to pair
        3. I purchased this HD setup already and you people asking of Rs.400/- for pairing ( let me know why i should when both STB and HD are mine).
        4.Its my fault that i am using your service

          The following email sent to the Reliance Digital TV CustomerCare ----
          I put installation request for Reliance Digital TV Smart Card number[protected] on 08/03/2013 vide Service Request ID[protected],& till date it is not installed, though you had promised to install it within 48 hours. I had recharged Rs.350 for installation in this condition that you are going to install it within 48hours, since I had a family occasion on 10/03/2013. Ironically I am o

          Next your service engineer asked for Cash money( which is totally fraudulent) ,& I have complained you regarding this earlier, which you promised to investigate.

          Seeing the service quality of yours & the kind of fraudulent employees you are associated with, I decided to terminate the subscription with you on 10/03/2013 & asked for a refund of Rs.650 which is recharged to my subscription through online banking from my Kotak Mahindra Savings A/c.-[protected], requested you to reverse the amount to my Bank Savings A/c. Though you have acknowledged my earlier 2 emails, but still I have not got the refund in my Bank A/c.

          Last of all today your service engineer called me up from a mobile number -[protected] & asked if I want to install my Reliance Dish TV (this service engineer only called me up from this mobile number on 08/03/2013 asked for Cash money). Then he started abusing about that I have complained against him, & later on he started threatening me with dire consequences. In this situation, my humble request to you, to kindly look into the matter, & give me justice. My family is very scared with this incident & we called up the customer-care number & described the whole event, where the customer-care officer new service request No.[protected].

          This entire event have made such impression about your company that I am no way in a mood to keep any kind of relation with this
          1. Please refund my money of Rs.650/-
          2. Please give me a justice about the threatening of dire consequences to me by your service engineer, or I request for Police protection on the same through my counsel.

            Though I have paid in advance Rs.350 for installation of my Reliance Digital TV Smart Card number[protected],& raised a installation request on 08/03/2013 vide Service Request ID[protected], but after repeated requests for 3 days also they did not complete my installation. Also to mention very importantly one of their service engineer called up & asked for Cash of Rs.175 for the installation, whereas I have already paid Please find the following email sent to the Reliance Digital TV customercare---

            This is to inform you though my request for installation of Reliance Digital TV was lodged on 08/03/2013 vide Service Request ID[protected], it has not been resolved yet, neither no engineer came to install the Reliance Digital TV Smart Card number[protected].

            Moreover this is also to inform that one engineer from one of your service centre located somewhere at Barasat, 24 parganas North, Westbengal called me up on 08/03/2013 at around 12 noon & said that he would come on 09/03/2013 for installation, but he will take a cash amount of Rs.175 for the installation. When I mentioned that already I have recharged Rs.350 in my Account for the purpose of installation, he said that since he dont have the authority to deduct Rs.350 from my A/c. he would require Rs.175 in cash. I doubted about it & questioned about it, this engineer didnt came for installation on 09/03/2013.

            I called up 3 times to the customer care number & also complained that your engineer have asked for Cash money & no one have came to my address for installation of the
            Reliance Digital TV Smart Card number[protected], but nothing have been done.

            Today, 10/03/2013, now 12.45 pm noon, till now no engineer have came to my address for installation of the Reliance Digital TV, though you had promised to complete the service request within 48 hours, & for that we have paid you Rs.350 in advance. Also to mention that as per nature of the dubious act by your service engineers for asking Cash money of Rs.175 is totally unethical & illegal too.

            I dont find more option to continue this subscription with your company since you have failed to the service delivery as per your company prescribed maximum TAT & also the dubious act of your service engineers, I would request for the Refund of Rs.650 which have been recharged to my Reliance Digital TV Smart Card number[protected] through online banking from my Kotak Mahindra Savings A/c.

            Please reverse the amount of Rs.650 to my Kotak Mahindra Savings A/c., or I would be forced to file a ChargeBack against you through my Bank.

            lemme attach my email chain...things become clear about their outstandingly ridiculous service..

            even their webpage does not open..and they are supposed to be providing broadband service...

            what is stopping you from sending it to me by post/courier? 50 rs??

Since then, i ve been trying to login n ve filed up a complaint to custom care also, but nothing has been done so far. I ve been trying to do it from morning but unable to login.             My Broadband connection is not working since 28-Jun-2008.

            My Details has been uploaded / registered by 04-Jul-2008. Already logged offline complain with CC 3 times and 3 Times after getting registered. None Customer Care representative helped me out and neither any distributor / field technical officials and Agent. Just only Sweet coated words I'm getting nothing else.

            I had paid the installation charges for same internet connection. Neither did I get the internet connection nor did I getting my installation charges back after requesting for cancellation of the connection on 3 & 4th July-2008. Whenever I'm contacting CC; no details of last Complain is available and shameful Reliance CC is telling me, that me never lodged complain.

            My customer ID is [protected].I received my set top box from DTH ZONE, Aminjikarai, Chennai-29 by paying an amount of Rs.2000 and not yet received any o[censored]r members for making it get connected.
            So, I request u to take into account my complaint and take any action to fit it earlier.
            Also, i need information about ur 1year plan of Rs.2000 and the channels u r connecting for this plan.Give me details about the basic channels, addtional channels including sports and movies and the pay channels which can be get connected additionally and the charge for each pay channel.

            Please help me in lodging complaint against Reliance Digital who have sold a outdated unservicable whirlpool white magic Machine which is not evem 6 months old and it has gone on breakdown for more than 7 times.

            Reliance Digital TV — Installation not done

            Hi,

            This relates to my Reliance Digital TV connection with smart card no[protected], which is in the name of Mr Mervin Fernandes.

            I had purchased and installed the dish in Navi Mumbai. However, as I now plan to have the dish installed in my native, I removed the dish from the Navi Mumbai terrace and bought in to my residence in Goa. I called the Reliance help line to seek assistance in installing the dish at my address. The advised me my connection was inactive. They asked me to recharge with at least Rs 230 to activate the connection, in addition to Rs 350, which will go as installation fee. I promptly recharged with Rs 600/- on 18/9/11 at around 15.30 hours. I called the call center to ask for a installation to be done to my address at House No, 684/1A, Maina, Siolim, Bardez Goa-403517.

            At the time of writing this complaint, Reliance has still not installed the dish at my residence. At the time of recharge, my balance was around Rs 593 and today the balance stands at around Rs 578. I have called Reliance on numerous occasions and they advise me it takes up to 48 hours for the installation to be done.

            This seems to be like a scam as for the past 2 days I am without a TV and the balance is steadily reducing over the past few days. Can this complaint be escalated to the relevant department so that the appropriate action can be taken to resolve this issue at the earliest.

Though you have acknowledged my earlier 2 emails, but still I have not got the refund in my Bank A/c.

            Last of all today your service engineer called me up from a mobile number -[protected] & asked if I want to install my Reliance Dish TV (this service engineer only called me up from this mobile number on 08/03/2013 asked for Cash money). Then he started abusing about that I have complained against him, & later on he started threatening me with dire consequences. In this situation, my humble request to you, to kindly look into the matter, & give me justice. My family is very scared with this incident & we called up the customer-care number & described the whole event, where the customer-care officer new service request No.[protected].

            This entire event have made such impression about your company that I am no way in a mood to keep any kind of relation with this
            1. Please refund my money of Rs.650/-
            2. Please give me a justice about the threatening of dire consequences to me by your service engineer, or I request for Police protection on the same through my counsel.

            Hi, inspite of registering several complaints regarding the big tv service in Calicut, no one is bothered even to give a call before closing the complaint status.               I had a normal SD big tv DTH for the last 4 years. I applied for a HD Set Top Box during Dec'12.The same was delivered to me by around 20th Dec. On 02-Jan-13 it stopped working. After repeated calls to the customer care, the technician came to my house after 20 days. After inspecting he found that the HD STB is not working. He took it back for repair. THe HD STB was returned to me by 01-Feb-13. Again it stopped working on 10th-Feb - 13.

              The chronology of events.
              1. 20th-Dec'12 to 02-Jan'13, HD STB working - 12 days
              2. 02-Jan'13 to 01-Feb'13, HD STB did not work - 30 days
              3. 01-Feb'13 to 10-Feb'13, HD STB working - 10 days
              4. 10-Feb'13 to till now, HD STB did not work - 18 days & counting.

              I am one of the oldest customer of reliance Big TV. Even after repeated calls to the customer care, I could not watch TV for the last last two months. Even I had requested them to provide me my old SD/ or any STB even after repeated request, as a stop gap arrangement till my HD set up box is rectified.

              THey have the most pathetic customer care. Once sold they give a damn about the customer. They have have charged me Rs 2300/- for the HD set up box, They have not provided me a working HDMI cable till today. In addition I have put more than Rs 1800/- for a 6 month pack.

              But as of today I cannot watch TV . Every time I call customer care, they give me a lame excuse that the technician will attend within 48 hrs. But till date none of their rep has contacted me.

              They have taken Rs 4000/ - from me & still not provide me a working DTH connection.

              My smart card no:[protected], Reliance digital TV, DTH service provider.
              Pl Note: I have wasted lot of time & energy in trying to contact them, but to no avail. I have not watched TV for the last 2 months.

              I have requested them to return my money so that I can buy DTH from some other service provider to enable me to watch TV.

              Hi ,
              Due to construction of wall near BIG TV DISH,i had raised request 2 times with Reliance customer care for re-installation of DISH in different place. Both the times they have not taken any action and closed the request.Because of this i am not able to use the DISH and the money in my account is wasted.I want to file case in consumer court against Reliance Digital TV.

              Till today no one from reliance digital tv has contacted me. I have not watched TV for the last 2 & half months.

              I have tried to contact reliance digital TV through their toll free number & through many emails. I have already spent a lot of time & energy. Till date I have to live without watching TV due to their faulty HD STB which has not worked from the first day.

              I had requested them to at least return my old STB which was working fine as a stop gap arrangement for me to watch TV till they rectify the HD STB. They have completely declined & neither they are correcting the HD STB.

                Reliance Big TV 233.33 Million fraud annually...

                a. 360 days in an Year what they consider. i.e. 5 days less... every year. Where as they charge for 12 months which is 365 days, thus cheating every consumer for 5 days.

                b. 33.33333 Rupees cheating with every customer per year. (Considered only the basic TV package not the higher packages for 5 days).

                c. 7 million customers for Big TV in year 2011 (Reliance Digital TV had about 7 million customers as of November 2011 can be validated from the given web link --- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliance_Big_Tv).

                d. 233.33 Million Rupees (7*33.33333 million) annual fraud (cheating).

                e. They haven't mentioned 1 year = 360 days in any of there official document, given to the customer. that also could be validated against the link --- http://www.reliancedigitaltv.com/Dec_12_LTP.pdf

                Note:
                Above calculation is based roughly on the basic value pack, the fraud figure would be huge when considering higher value packs.

                I have taken there annual pack on 29th Feb 2012 for 12 months but they disconnected my connection on 24th Feb 2013.

                    I have been using Reliance HD DVR for over a year. A few days ago, it suddenly stopped recording. The set top box works fine but it doesn't record or show the hard drive content.

                    The message that I get when I try to record or try to view 'My content' is - "The hard disk is currently not available. Please try again later."

                    I have been getting this message for over a week. I called cust-care. They say they can replace the set-top box with another HD (but NON DVR) one. I don't want that. I want DVR to work. The cust-care also said that the company has halted the production of DVR set-top boxes.

                        Reliance Big T V representatives (Their so called customer care System) are grossly in the business of mis- selling and busy in collecting money by false promises and accounting advance payment paid for 3-months package without activating the same in their system for the reason you have not called customer care personal about the renewal or package purchase for the sole interest of deducting customer amount on daily basis as the advance amount will be exhausted much earlier than package schedule.Then they start demand to renew the package.Even if we renew it also by making full payment they wont activate the same on the pretext that there is a shortage of Rs.7 in your account and hence not activated.This system continues to repeat that in the process one or two rupees always in due for them for their delay in recording or other wise.
                        Under my Smart card No[protected] I purchased 3 months diamond package on[protected] for three months supposed to due on[protected] as there was credit balance in my account at the time of renewal.But they have exhausted my balance on the pretext saying that you have not informed the customer care division about package purchase and to renew immediately before 31st Jan 2013.Again 0n 31st Jan 2013 I have paid Rs.1041/ through my credit card for Diamond Package for three months.For my surprise they have not activated my package purchase even after contacting their so called customer care system.This system (one of them is Mr.Sumukh) told me that "We can't help you have to make the payment of Rs 7/- for that even I told him their system or credit card system no accepting amount less than Rs100.He told then we cant help.However I made Rs 100/through credit card and informed on their number on 1at Feb itself.In the mean while he told you have due of rs.22/-as such we cant activate.After another so called customer care representative told me that they are going to do it to date.But till date I did't receive any confirmation from Reliance Big T V for having activated my Package,may be repeating the same during my next renewal.Getting disconnected their system also very difficult because there is no human interface in hierarchical system in Rel Big T V.Kindly ascertain whether my package activated or not inform through E-mail.Their customer care system is not replying E-mails also.

                                The reliance digital TV sales person approached my premises on 09.12.12 who names Javahar (Mobile No. [protected]) he is the person of Appco marketing (India) pvt., Ltd., address of the agency is 131/146, Shahas embassy, II floor, Nelson Manickam Road, Metha Nagar, Near Metha nagar Bus Stop, Chennai, 600 029.Telephone No.[protected]. i gave a Axis bank cheque for one SD connection (cheque No. 158613 dated 09.12.12 amount Rs. 1590/-) the cheque was cleared on 11.12.12, but they could not installed the dish and set top box till 13.12.12, i call the appco office and then one person came on 15.12.12 to install the dish and set top box and he told me within one hour it become active. but till it will not be activated by the concern. i went the above said address but no response, i call them many times many peoples and sales person but no action to be taken till date.
                                for your kind information my smart card no.[protected], set top box no. SHWSTC[protected], kindly arrange to activate the card or refund the said amount.

                                digital tv not installed — very poor in service

                                i have given cash on 12/05/2011 for reliance HD no one is giving response for instillation one of the poor service company in the world

                                  As lodge compliant signal lost at24/11/2012 on 1/12/2012 your person visit at my place he came check dish and setbox which was my dvr he said sir my dvrsetbox wont repair and cant get new dvr instead of that i ill give u new hd box .he replace it to hd setup box . I was ready pay it for dvr but that person told its for temporary as soon as get dvr i ill change it.he just put hd set box now coming error 102 than i call it at toll free number talk to miss vandana at same day 1/12/2012 she said u compliant will soon will solve .i wait .next day made call to toll free giving same reasons.giving several false reason by given by ur operator.i also said pls connent my compliant to senior or ur head but there no responce from ur company.when should i see tv. Or u please take ur setbox return give my deposit returns i m really tired so having blood pressure promblem.

                                    i had launched compliant about signal lost at 24/11/2012 until today 29/11/2012.since no response from ur company no reminder calls no service calls no mail from ur side i am fooling around from u reliance digital tv day by day by giving several reason today man's r coming or pls take ur set box and dish return give my funds back as i already pay to u .worst service held from reliance big tv or . i have go to police by legal procedure high court for take this matter or legal notice to your company this his my last warning to u and your reliance digital big tv

                                    Sir, I am to introduce myself and pround to be customer of Reliance Big TV. Just a couple of days back
                                    I made a recharge for Rs.500/= but today i.e.[protected] from 6pm onwards no signal is received. Immediately I had contacted customer care (toll free) Number and lodged the complaint. But they say that the address of myself (i.e. customer) address is wrong one but it has to be changed. I had given all the address proof, my Passport size photos and clear mailing addred. That it will do the Big tv for enough proof and all that. Sir Please look into and do the needful in viewing programmes.                                       My BIG TV connection works magical. Some channels like Z TV STAR GOLD OR Z & STAR channels does not come after evening and i can watch them from morning to afternoon.

                                      When i called up customer care they are not checking problem from there end and straight a way saying you will be charged at 175 rupees for visiting the engineer. I recharged every month RS 250/-. They even don't have concern to call back to my number.

                                      I am sure this is not a hardware problem. if it could have that then i may not able to see those same channels in morning to afternoon and magically disappear in evening time.

                                        This is with respect to my two years experience with Reliance Big TV. Smart Card number :[protected]

                                        I am completely dissatisfied with your BIG TV After Sales Services. Being a loyal customer of your brand, I am raising this concern to you in this open forum. This can be considered as areas of improvement by the concerned manager.

                                        1) Call Center - For past two year, it is a nightmare to contact your call center for any help. I tried more than 8 times on today. Line gets expired about the message that I have tried number options. Similar problem I had faced in Feb 2012. That time I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get somebody to attend my query.

                                        2) My account is suspended even though I bought a 12 months package in Feb 12. Today in the month of Nov 2012, it is expired. The reason given by your call center is after recharging, I am supposed to contact your call center and request to reissue the existing package. Funny.

                                        3) Network Downtime - Even though there is no rain outside, I get a error message that due to climate condition, the service is out of order.

                                        4) Policy Abuse - Difficult to understand. The setup box and Antenna are the Reliance properties. Why in case of any God Abuse or a component failure, customer is charged for repair. Hard to understand.

                                        Requesting your people to revert on this.

                                        SHAME ON RELIANCE BIG TV SERVICE

                                        Service of Reliance Big TV seems to be the worst service provider in DTH Business in India.

                                        Inspite of my last encouter with their service provider and my direct feedback, they still continue to be pathetic and heart of customer dissatisfaction.

                                        I request Mr. Ambani that the Service team of your Big TV should be terminated on top priority. They do not deserve to be a part of such esteem brand.

                                        To end my disgrace with this worst DTH company, I have sent this final email to its Nodal Officer. Big TV personnel are fantoms, at least for customers. Help desk (must say Handicap Help Desk) has just an email ID of Nodal Officer. Sharing this email with you.

                                        "Dear Nodal Officer,

                                        I feel so pity of being victimised by your esteemed company Relience
                                        Big TV. Shame on you.

                                        I am following up with your illiterate service franchisee continuosly
                                        past 4 days. These people who can not even speak profession language,

                                        past 4 days, I have callled six different technicians of your
                                        unprofessional service provider called Blue star for more than 15
                                        times. All I got is pending work which was supposed to be done on top

                                        visited my home as if he has come for picknik. Left the premise
                                        without any work. When asked, he said that he did not have the
                                        required spare. He committed that he will return with spare on 17th
                                        Nov which did not happen. I kept on rigging his phone which was
                                        switched off. Today I called almost five different people, still no
                                        action.

                                        Plz arrange to refund all of my money invested for installation and
                                        annual subscription.

                                        You people do not deserve to be in market unless you take some
                                        correctives. 24 hrs if no action, I will go to consumer forum.

                                        One more experience of such a Rotten attitude of Reliance Big TV Service. This is a shameful to customer of such hopeless DTH Service Provider.

                                        God Bless Mr. Anil Ambani and his fortune. Sir, you have great threat from the who manage your DTH business. Please sack them as they are nullifying your branding efforts.
