I purchased a reliance digital (big tv) receiver with annual subscription for rs 4990 from a reliance dealer m/s climate engineers, haus khas, new delhi on 12th of may 2011. i wished to migrate to qatar and i found out that reliance big tv works there if the receiver is pre-activated. i called up the dealer who in turn got me connected with mr gaurav who committed that the receiver will be active before 7 pm on 12th of may and i can use it in qatar, hassle free.

he sent a co rep to my office who handed over the card and receiver and took a cash paymenst of rs 4990 against the annual subscription of all the channels to avoid any coonfusion later. he denied the cash receipt on the pretext of that he forgot to bring the bill book. trusting all of them i made the payment in good faith.

on 13th may, i left for qatar and got a new dish installed for another rs 13000 to view the big tv. to my surprise my account wasn't active and i could not see even a single channel. then i made frequest call to mr khanna of climate engineers, mr gaurav of reliance digital but they are not taking my calls. it seems to be some organised gang of cheats looting innocent people.

i mailed my request/complaint to reliance digital customer care but they ae repeatedly sending one default message that their services are not available outside india. they are not showing me the way out. i am badly stuck and can not do anything from here.

big tv works here fine provided your card is active, all the indian expats are using it here. i really dont know what to do.

    Dear Sir,

    I purchased new Reliance digital TV (BigTV then) connection around 7 months back.
    2 months back due to hanging and other issues my set top box was replaced. But the replacement provided was also not is good condition its used to black out sometimes. the technical representative said due to availability issues I was provided with stb in such condition and if problem persists we'll change it again.

    Recently the problem with the STB has increased 10 folds and for some reason I'm not able to contact your costumer care. My call disconnects while waiting for bpo executive.

    Current Problem with STB:
    1. Heats up to high temperatures and hangs.
    2. Black outs during normal usage(only UI is visible).

    The STB provided is a very old one of previous generation and has troubled us a lot.
    I request you to replace my STB with a new one. Its still under warranty.

      Hi,

      I am using reliance Big Tv form the year they launched the services in India way back in 2008. Recently I had recharged by reliance Digital TV subscription for "MAX PACK" on January 27th 2011 for an advance yearly subscription of Rs. 4600/- (actual value of subscription is only Rs. 4489/-) which is ending approximately near to same date in 2012. There was a technical complaint which I had put in customer care in march 2011 for unreliable operation of my set top Box which was behaving abnormaly and switching off automatically and turning on in 30 secondes or so itself and channel turned to Preview Mode. I had this similar problem in previous years (2010) as well for which Big TV engineer has rectified the problem and my set top Box was working satisfactorly in previous year. This time when i complaint about the similar problem they sent an engineer who changed my set top box and power adapter in March itself. Now from last 4 days they have terminated my services saying that you have a negative balance of Rs. 700/- in your account due to the fact that your set top Box and power adaptor has been changed and you need to recharge the account before your services can be started once again. I have been talking to customer services executives and senior mangers in technical and other departments of call center from last 4 days for approx 3 hours and they are not giving any solution and are just saying that give us time and we are forwarding your request to senior technical level who will restart your services very soon. But even after 4 days of talking nothing has happend and they are not giving any timeline to resolve this problem. I am actually fed up of this now and i want to terminate my services with Reliance digital TV. My question to them are as follows for which i am not getting any answers.

      1. If I had done the recharge for 12 months and used only 3 months of services against that why they have terminated the services now at this moment even if there is a negative balace of Rs. 700/- when 9 month service is still pending. If they wanted to terminte the services they could have done in last two months of subscription.?

      2. I was never informed about the charges of change in set top box, which may be deducted from my account when I registerd the complain with customer care for unsatisfactory run of my set top box. In fact i even have put a formal complian against customer care executive and engineer for not informing me about the same day before yesterday on 25.04.2011 and my complain nos. are "[protected]" & "[protected]". Now who would give me a satisfactory answer of this mistake done by them and due to this my services are also got disconnected.

      3. every time i call them they forward the mail to next level and senior level always communicate that your services would get resumed very soon but no body gives me any probelm resolve time and they just say wait for some time your services would be okay very soon. But now 4 days has gone past and services are not activated till now.

      4. How I can settle an account which reliance digital TV as i had already paid money in advance and after this behaviour of service provider I just want to discontinue the services and want my money back.

      5. Service provider is doing nothing and I find myself harrased by them everytime I call them to start my services. Who will help consumer?

      Need some help or direction to sort this issue out ASAP.

        I would like to brig to your kind notice that i have applied for Reliance Big TV DTH connection on 20th March, 2011 in the name of Mrs.M. Padmaja, resident of H.No. 29-1354/1, Flat No.2, Dwarakamai Nivas, Deenadayal Nagar, R.K. Puram PO, Secunderabad - 500 056. Mr. Md. Naseer Ahmad (Employee code HYBT[protected] from M/s. Appco Marketing India Pvt. Ltd., sale representative has approached us and offered connection of Reliance Big TV DTH connection under their franchise , he has collected the cheque no.000062 dated 20.03.2010 for Rs.1490/- drawn on Neredment Branch of Bank of India, Hyderabad which was cleared on 23.03.2011 along with other required documents. he told us that installation will be done with in 3 working days. After 3 days i had been trying to reach him and could only get him after a week and we were informed that there was a shortage of stock of the equipment and He assured us that installation will be done on or before 08.04.2011, positively. Since then, i have been trying to reach him, he is eluding my calls and keeping the mobile in switch off mode and i am unable to understand what has to be done and whom to approach. Till today i.e. 22.04.2010, even after completion of more than a month and nothing has been done.
        It seems the company is instructing its employees to collect the money in advance and deceive the people as far as possible.

        i do not require connection of this service provider any more and i request you to kindly help to get back my money.

        I AM BOOK THE RELIABNCE BIG TV ON DATED 28.10.2008 THE COMPANY POLICY IS TO INSTALL THE DISH IN 2 DAYS AFTER GIVING THE ORDER BUT TILL THE DATE IS 20.11.08 BUT NO DISH INSTALL AT MY HOME WHEN I GOES TO THE DISTRIBUTOR/DEALER HE IS NOT GIVEN PROPER REPLY TO US .I HAVE GOESTO THE DEALER 10 TIMES IN THESE DAYS BUT HIS SERVICES IS SO POOR PLEASE JUSTICE ME.

          My name is Bitoo Chakrabarty, my registered mobile no. with Big tv is [protected],
          I have buy Big TV in ranchi, I got transferred to kolkata, so I need to re-install my DTH over here, I have made a complaint for that to customer care on 16.04.2011 at 12.40 pm, but today is 20.04.2011, 11.20am, instead of the work to be done, unfortunately there is no call from engineers, its all 4 days now, and my problem is unsolved.
          It is very bad to say that the brand like reliance is unable to solve the customers problems, i[censored] cannot, then don't commit for good service, I thought I make a wrong decision of buying reliance DTH instead of others. I am a old customer of reliance as I used RIM mobile since last 6 years. but it is sad to say that your service is very bad in compare to others.

Inspite of many phone calls and SMS their is no response from their side and we call manager name Arjun no,[protected] no response . Hence I request you to punish such people who openly betray .

                Reliance digital tv complaint –

                Smart card No.[protected]

                I deposited charges for the installation of big tv at my new residence in New Delhi –

                The money is gone and no connection is made.

                I complained to toll free no. – [protected] (complaint no. –[protected],[protected] and no action is taken. I talked to different people at all time (Mr. Krishna sharma,Mandeep,Rajender Kaur, Etc.) and they did not listened and cut off phone lines.

                The big tv is cheating the customers by charging money and not giving product/service and there is no follow up for the complaints registered with the company.

                Please pay back my money and stop cheating people.

                  I had big TV connection at Rewa(MP) Nehru Nagar with Subscriber No[protected], i did buy the Big tv with employee plan in which 4 month free with silver plus plan, after 4 month my service get activated, then i call the toll free no - [protected] and ask for 12 month plan then call center executive told me the plan about silver for that i recharge my a/c with 2000 with reference/transaction id -AMIP11897693 on dated 13-Aug-2010, but my service was not activated then again i spoke to customer care executive and tell them the whole story about my plan for 12 month silver then my service got activated.

                  But my service again deactivated on 08-april-11 (only after 7 month) within 12month from the date of recharge, then i call again the customer care on [protected], then they replied that your plan was not activated with silver 12 month pack. and they totally deny to extend further. again i had recharge my a/c with 2150 for 12 month bronze plus activation. i don't know this time also they told me that your a/c not activated with 12 month plan

                  Please help me in extending remaining five month services or refund my remaing rental charge for five month

                    I was trying to get set max channel for a period of two month,but they are giving me two toll free numbers[protected],[protected].But this two numbers are always in assesible for a couple of days.Thus, as a customer they denied their services.

                    i purchase reliance big tv with smart 3990 premium pack on 07.08.2008 but after installation they are showing regular pack which has less channel number does not contain sports and kids(POGO & Cartoon network) channel. i have make complaint on 24.09.2008. thay regularly says same thing that is it will be done tommrrow sir. But there "tommorow never comes", shame anil ambani group of industries you are now doing china buizness. Till now i do not when they will solve my problem.
                    In my entire life i really didnt' bugged up like this kind of poor customer service. Lot of calls been made and no use. i didnt get proper service at all. So please dont ever never go for Big tv if you really need a enetertainment.
                    The name BIG is wrost ever..it is giving lot of problem..it hangs so many times and also break voice.it takes time to change a channel..i called to cutomer care..1st the no given in website is going engagae coutinously..after locking a complain nither anybody come at my house nor call me..i am fed up with this service..i am going to drop this stupid "kachare ka dabba"..

                    Reliane Big TV has very poor customer care services. I have called so many times to recharges my account but they are not responding at all. Not only that they dont have proper web site for recharge. this is one of the worst DTH services. Advising everybody if you want to buy go for Tata Sky if you want to waste your money then only buy Reliance big TV.

                    I made a recharge of 400 Rs by net banking on Thursday night, amount has been deducted from ICICI account i got the transaction number also, But still my big tv account is showing Zero balance . I almost called Customer Support 10 or 15 times very time they told it will be resolved in few hours but nothing happened only thing they gave me are few complain numbers
                    My Reliance Big TV (SmartCard:[protected] signals were down with message 'Poor Signal'. When we called customer support on their toll free number[protected], for most of the time it went unattended, finally on 22nd Dec, 2010 at around 10:15PM, the customer support agent answered. His response was 'may be there is a issue in your area please wait for 1 more day'. When we asked for a complaint number he said he cannot register complaints and to call again next day. What sort of customer service is it?? If there is an issue they should be accepting complaints and inform subscribers about the status instead of trying to waste time doing nothing. Very bad, I will not recommed any Reliance products to anyone just because of their poor customer service.
                    Also forgot to add above, The support agent disconnected midway while we are trying to understand why he dont register a complaint.. If they dont want to support why do they have the customer service desk!! The web page doesnt have a online utility to register complaints. only other way is to send email with which again you will not get the tracking number. If reliance is serious about giving support to their subscribers, they should atleast add online complaint form with which we can track the updates.

                    i do tray again again but i culd not see my acount balnes
                    I have given a complaint for the smart card number[protected] on 09.08.2011 early morning, after as many as follow up with the customer care one technician came on 12.08.2011 and told me that the set up box to be replaced and it will take more than 2 days. I waited from 12.08.2011 to 16.08.2011 at 15.00 Hrs.
                    I am requesting you sort out the issue with in today otherwise I will go to consumer court for the reason for the delay

Your representatives told the problem will be solved within 48 hours. Now it is one month, since I have watched any of the channels, more over I have recharged my smart card for one year last month. So I think there is no point in waiting for your service. I am going to file a case in the consumer court and the session courts in Chennai on Monday.
                    Hi i have been using Reliance Big TV for nearly 3 yrs.Had a issue with HD box filed a complaint on 24/10/2012.And the technician responded on 26/10/2012.The box was replaced on 30/10/2012.The replaced box is also not working.whenever we call reliance customer care they are not responding properly.They yet solve the issue.Till today issue is not solved.we have been constantly complaining them no response.They are not eligible to run such company.Please do process this issue.

                    Dear All,

                    I have purchased the Big TV 1 connection before 1 year back. In this
                    20 days i am having lots of problem in this connection . Firstly i am
                    suffering from poor signal all the time. Whenever i call to the
                    customer care center they will take maximum 192 hrs for resolving the
                    problems but after that nothing was change. I was call to the customer
                    care service number so many times but i m very fed up with this type
                    to promlem. please let me know how much time i have face to this type

                    its been since 14/7/2014 my set top box is not working. i called severeal times for complaint but no one is helpful resolving this issue. i spoke to several people at your organisation and none of them is giving a resolution i spoke to Manoj patil supervisor, Sudhraj goyal TL on the floor and finally i spoke to manisha she said she will transfer call to supervisor and she disconnected the call. everytime i speak to them they transfer the call where no one answer it quite disappointed with the service. earlier when i spoke to TL sidhraj goyal he said engineer will come at 6pm on sat 19/7/2014 he confirmed the mobile number as well as the address with me but no one turned up. now when i called and spoke to manisha she said that the number is incorrect as well as the address and when i told her to change the number she said she cant do it as there is no balance. i will have to recharge first and then she can change the mobile number on system. since 14/7/2014 to 22/7/2014 because my set top is not working the balance is deducted so how ul expect me to recharge it again . when i spoke to manoj he said amount will be refunded when the issue is resolved but nothing is resolved yet. either you have to resolve my query or please go ahead and cancel the service i do not want to carry on with the service of your company which cannot provide customer a perfect customer service. pathetic service ever. compalint no:[protected]. please call on [protected] for further assistance

                    I am also a customer of Reliance Big TV. My remote is not working since last three months. 4-5 times called on customer care. Also sent a mail at customer care. No response. I have not seen such a third rated company. Feeling very helpless as have given 12 months rent in advance. Moreover, they have already deducted cost of remote from my account. Really fed up. What to do?

                      This is to inform you, that on 26/03/2011, I booked a reliance Big TV (DTH) from your representative Mr Pawan & Narender mobiled no. [protected] & [protected] respectively. they asked me to issue the cheque of Rs.2980/- in favor of your authorised booking agency i.e. M/S APPCO Marketing (India) pvt.ltd. they has issued a small receipt for the cheque, but assured me that a engineer from Reliance Big TV will come within 4-5 working days to fix the reliance BIG TV (DTH) connection with special features instrument..
                      The cheque was encashed from my bank on 28/03/2011 by your agency and till date no one has come to fix the connection. I have contacted Mr.Pawan & narendra but Pawan's mobile is switch off all time and mobile of Narendra is wrong which is going to another person . Till date nobody has come for installation and not even responding on phone.

                      It appears that your company is cheating to customers ,why not a case should be filled against you. If within 7 days my payment will not refunded then ,I will register FIR and register a case in court.

                        Hi,

                        Today one reliance executive came for giving a sim card which is use for connection. i was very happy that time but he came & gave me a smart card which having a 12 digit no[protected].he insert the card & taken a delivery signature for proof & he went from home. after few moment the connection got disconnected & showing no signal.than & there i called up to the customer care & inquired about this.The CC executive ask me the 12 digit no & i got the answer which very shocking & surprising. he told me that in this smart card the available balance is 0 34 Paise only but according to the offer i should get 1 month subscription free.this is totally a cheating to a consumer.

                        i just request you to every one if any one could suggest me the process of legal case filing at consumer court that would be great help for me because this intolerable for me. by any means

                            I have Purchased one Reliance BG TV DTH, After some time, My smart card Damaged, so i Request to Issue new Smart card as on 5 April 2011, so Customer care has Say that To pay Rs 400 for New Smart card no, so i have Tranffered Rs 400 on same day for Smart Card.After this he say engineer came with New Smart Card within 48 hours, No one Any Engineer came and every day Co Deduct Rs 175/- from my A/c Balance without solving My Problem, I have Every day call Customer Care and Customer care give Irrsponsible answer that we will try to give Refund, whats Rubbish ans. How can company deduct Charge without my Permission. I mentaly Harsment from this co, He get every day me new Compalin no like[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] etc... so please request to Register My Compalain and Do the Needfull

                              COMPLAINT :- HAD GOT A NEGATIVE BAL OF 175 DON'T HOW, BUT WAS GIVEN A REASON BCOZ AN ENGERNIER HAD VISITED THE HOME FOR THAT WHICH WE WHERE NOT INFORMED OF ANY GIVEN POINT OF TIME AND ALSO THEN THE BAL WAS GOING FURTHER ON NEGATIVE TILL TODAY WITHIN 6 DAYS FROM 30/03/2011 WHICH I WAS TALKING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT BIG TV TO -204
                              WEN ASKED WHY NO ONE NOT EVEN THE MANGERS GOT ME ANY ANSWERS TO THE SOLUTIONS OR THE PROBLEMS AND OVER ABOVE THE IVR SYSYTEM GIVES ME NEGATIVE BAL OF -104.63 WHICH IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT

                              With no response to complaint there was numous calls made and also spoke to a maneger Jaffer Sheikh who I don't trust to have maneger capabilities ,dissconnected my call over and above it

                                  Reliance Big TV — Require Refund

                                  I was fill the form & submit the check of Rs. 1490/- on 26th Nov.08 to door salesman. He proved that we will get all channels which we are looking in 50% than the Cable.but the scheme was already expired.Now there is no much difference in amount of cable & Big TV. So I am not interested in taking Big TV conection.
                                  The two salesmen named James & Arif Siddiqui were cheated me by giving me old &expired offers.Now they are not responding at my phonecalls. I request the officer to refund my money & please take some action against the lier salesmen.
                                  please do the needful.
                                  i have get connection last 2 month one month is was ok but their was a heavy rain 4 or 5 days continued from 25 day their in nothing not coming clear any channel

                                      I have recently taken a connection after a lot of convincing from an, executive who belongs to, appco India a direct marketing firm which markets Reliance Big TV DTH. The executive took the cheque for installing a 3 month gold package (which has a wide variety of channels) for free. When it was installed I was surprised to know that they have installed a much lower version (value sports pack free for 5 months) with only sports and other regional channels on it. When I contacted the executive, he never responds and inturn blames us for misguiding the person who came to install (incidentally they gave a printed copy which shows which package should be installed for us). So people, don't opt for such cheating companies which just be behind the customers till they take connection and then they forget.

                                      Reliance Big TV — worst customer care and cheating with customers

                                      when am bought big tv they told that subscription will be free for one year and they disconnected my connection with in one and half months and the customer care was use less
                                      Dear Sir,

                                      Complain date : 19.05.2010 ( 01.45 p.m.)

                                      We have taken Reliance Bigtv about 8 months back, till date it was working fine but on 18.05.2010 suddenly the TV starting giving message that NO SIGNAL received from Set top Box. We have lodged an complain as per details given and were told that your engineer will visit us within 48 hours. As 48 hours have already passed, nobody bothered to call or visit us to solve the problem.

                                      As nobody have turned up we have again called your customer care on 21.05.2010, to our surprise Mr.Ranvir Singh informs us that our complain have been closed with remarks that your engineer has given online support to us and the problem have been rectified and the complain has been dealt with. Till date we have not received any calls from any of your engineers. To add insult to injury the senior of your customer care Ms.Lakbir Kaur is informing us that a fresh complain has been lodged and now again it will take 48 hours for your engineer to visit us and she is helpless, she can’t do anything else to help.

                                      First nobody visits us in the stipulated 48 hours as per your promise.
                                      Secondly your engineer is giving false information that he has given online support.
                                      Third you are again asking us to wait for 48 hours more, that makes it 96 hours.

                                      This is the first time we had to call for any type of after sales service, but, if these is the quality of service provided than it will spread a bad name for yourself.
                                      Hope somebody listens and get our problem sorted out.

                                        i am a reliance digital tv customer since 2 years bearing stb nos.[protected] and[protected]. Firstly i want to bring into the notice that the conduct of the customer care service is very pathetic. Even after keeping 10 mins on hold they are unable to provide correct details to the customer regarding different packs. they themselves are not sure regarding which particular pack has what discount.
                                        And they are also charging unnessarily even after charging a huge amount as a one time charge at the time of activation of a long duration of pack. When i call regarding this issue they are not able to provide details and disconnect the call after keeping me on hold for 20 mins and more.
