Reliance Fresh launched their Mango Festival with a "Naturally Ripened Mangoes" pitch, claiming that 80% of mangoes in the market are carbide-ripened and potentially carcinogenic. However the mangoes on sale in the Indiranagar 13th Cross Reliance-Fresh outlet last week all had suspicious blotchy yellow/green colour variation and powdery coating. There is a huge difference compared to naturally ripened mangoes from trsutworthy outlets like "Fresh Earth" (also in the same locality). Interestingly, last week the prominent notices relating to the claims were not visible at the Reliance-Fresh outlet's mango section. So, are they knowingly selling chemically-ripened mangoes? Only consumer complaints and check by authorities can restore confidence to the consumer.

    The apple we bought in Reliance Fresh, Mogappair West, Chennai on July 09, 2009.
    Later at home i found it to be coated with wax when i scrapped it with a blade.

    The 'RED DELICIOUS SM.4015 PRODUCE O[censored]SA WASHINGTON APPLE ' which I bought from Hyper city inorbit mall vashi on 15th july 09 were coated with wax when I scrapped it with my nails.
    Its a misconception that the apples from Washington are waxed purpously for indian users.

    I bought dark red colored washington apple @120/- per kg from Thakur complex, Kandivali east, Mumbai, only to find out atleast 0.25cm of wax layer on it. When i cut it i could even see red color on the outer edge of the apple just beneath the cover.

    On complaining, the shift incharge told me that it was a eatable wax & not harmful at all & that RIL had certificate for the same. He asked me to check on some value.ril site...which i do not see anywhere.

    Although complaining here also doen't help, but am writing this just to aware people of the same.

      i am nikita sheth from ahmedabad. i just want to ask you a question are you putting schemes for customers or for shopkeepers.?
      .i visited to your reliance fresh near Medisurg hospital navrangpura.i want to buy pears germshield with scheme, buy three get one free.i saw a shopkeeper from shahpur who was purchasing most of the items which were in the scheme. He purchased almost the entire, keeping one or two pieces available. and when i questioned the staff memebers there, the only they have is that to us all people are customer. i really wnated to know if all people are customer to them, then why should we choose reliance over other local shops of ahmedbad? as when there are offer the shopkeepers take all the lot, and we have to go to them to fulfil our need, and we dont get any kind of offer at those local shops?

      the reason as to why i can say that the person was not a customer it that, the murchandises he was buying was more then what a regualr custormer or a normal person needs. it is really unfair to those people who specially visit reliance for their needs. Your company wants people to relay it. but how can we relay if we get the same items of the price in a normal shop near our houses? what is the point of going to reliance?

      it is our customer right to question you and hope to recieve your answer as soon as possible. i just hope its not that every person is a customer to us. and you help the general public of india.

      p.s: for cross check, if you want check the bills of reliacne fresh near Medisurg Mithakhali, Navarangpura Ahmedabad, and also we have filled a complain in your complain book there.

      I am a regular customer of R'fresh (card no.[protected]). There was an offer during Sep'09 to get a frying pan with lid on payment of Rs.149/- if our monthly purchase exceeded Rs.2500/- during that month. Accordingly I bought the goods worth required amount and by month end received a SMS to collect the gift on 15th October. When went to the R'fresh store I was told to wait for some more days. I kept enquiring till yesterday (18th Nov) and now being told that my choice i.e. frying pan with lid will never come, citing some funny reasons. Hope my complaint is clear. I do not want to use any harsh words, but shall not hesitate to knock all possible doors until the complaint is redressed.

        Hello,

        I visited Virugambakkam, chennai, reliance fresh today (June 20, 09) to do some purchase of imprest items. I was shocked that they are not accepting sodexho for buying Saffola oil. They say only for food items sodexho is accepted. Is Saffola oil not a food item...and inspite of billing it at MRP.

        I asked for the store manager and it was 10, o clock and store manager was not there at the stores, and all illetrate reliance fresh staffs doesnt know how to behave with a customer. They were very rude. I dont accept this crap from a company like reliance. These guys in store they doesnt have the number of store manager too.

        Never in my life time i will go to reliance for their worst customer service.

        I suggest PLEASE DO NOT GO TO RELIANCE VIRUGAMBAKKAM...NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTHING...NO PLEASANT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.

        Reliance Fresh — Worst Customer experience

        Hi,

        I & my family were regular customer of Reliance Fresh for our daily usage products. I am saying "WERE" because after today we will not buy any products in Reliance.

        On 22 May 2011 I bought Ear Bud box from Reliance Fresh, then when I went out and checked outside in a Medical store I got the same ear bud box for much cheaper, so I bought it from Medical store and went immediately hardly 5 minutes later then the Manger said it is closing time and asked me to come next day. When I went next day he started saying that it was late and I asked you to come next day to give clarification. What kind of A***** manager he is, he asked Customer to come back tomorrow to give clarification that we are not taking the item return.

        This is worst customer experience I ever had, there are small retail shops near my home who take the products return when we ask and being such a huge company which is wide spread across all over India. It is real shame to Reliance company.

        I'm planning to buy all my family products from either Total or Big Bazaar moving forward.

        I went to Reliance Fresh, Chandanagar, Hyderabad. I bought a couple of sweet corn. They are not accepting sodexos for that. They said they will only accept for food items like chacolate and all. Isn't sweet corn a food item?

        What kind of logic is this. The prices are also high compared to other super markets. I would never go to Reliance Fresh again.

          Sir, yesterday, 16th June 2009, i had visited reliance fresh at mahalakshmi layout in Bangalore with my family. first of all there are no price displayed for most of the products on the racks. many places the price tags has just been staked together some where, so customer has go thru and find out the prices. then at the counter i noticed a customer have been shouting about the price of mosumbi, the price was showing too high in the billing screen. since i was also carrying mosumbi i rushed back to the rack and checked the tag. i found it is Rs.29.90. when my turn came the boy in counter told me before he was cheking the weight of mosumbi 'sir it is Rs. 80.00 per kg.' then i asked him to check it in the screen, he refused to do. then after again i had asked, when he enterd the price of mosumbi is Rs. 29.90. but he was not entering that price, insteed he was enering the orange price it was Rs.80.00. he refused to click on mosumbi. he argued with me it is not mosumbi, it is orange. then i asked him call the store manager. then somebody came and he was also arguing with me it 'orange' not mosumbi. then asked him to ckeck the rack and he was trying convince me it is orange. since there was no orange availble in the rack and its mention there mosumbi finaly he agreed to make bill on mosumbi rate. it was fine!!!
          But how many customers may be got cheeted like this whole day, days, weeks...on many of the products. since they dont display any price tags on the rack, they can put any price at the billing time. mostly nobody checks, they just pay and leaves the place. i think it is really a offence. over that the AC was not working peaople been sweating badly...too hot...may be they had displayed "hot offer" every where in the shop...
          i would request you, please look in to this...it may be happenning to many customer at many palces.

            New store has been open by Reliance fresh in Adarsh Lane, Malad (west), Mumbai which has pathetic service, lousy employees, these people doesn’t know how to talk. Well what else can be expected from Reliance?

            Most of the products are expired but are still sold by them with discount price. Reliance is here to make money and do not care about the health of people and doesn’t care about human life.

            Not only this, milk packets are sold with manufactured date well in advance. I didn’t know that these Ambanis can go in future and manufacture things in advance....

            Vegetables are so stale you can’t even feel like touching them and all different kind of small bugs flying around them.

            Its better if this store is closed otherwise we have to file a complaint with consumer forum.

            I was deposited requisite amount to convert my paper card to plastic card (Permanent Card) during Jan 2009 at Customer Service Point at Reliance Fresh Shop, Saraidhela, Dhanbad but after passing of more than six month my new card not yet received by me. Kindly do the needful at your end and infrom me what more time you will take to deliver my card

              Our office is located on the floor above Reliance Fresh located at Ground Floor- Shakun Arcade, Mithakali, beside Medisurge Hospital. All our staff members are regular customers of Reliance Fresh.

              For the past three months we are observing that the outlet does not have currency exchange for returning to the customer and in return they ask customer to settle for choclates. On replying for non availability of change they deny to delivery goods to the customer and the staff is indecent enough to ask customer to go back n return with change!!

              This non-avalability of currency change is existing for the past three months.

              To make the matters worse they pach the food items and sanitary products in the same hand bags, on complaining the come with the excuse of non-avalablity of hand bags!

              Also the customer comng to purchase milk or butter-milk (irrespective of the packets he/she is purchasing) they will not give carry bags...

              The staff is too shameless to deny any sort of support to the customer.

              i am a customer of SBI (branch pratap nagar, andha mughal, delhi-7). i have a problem with this branch that there is no availability of staff in this branch due to which i suffer a lot of loss in my work.i request you to visit this place and see that staff (which consists of few persons) available here are not willing to do work.

              EMPLOYEE — Regarding non availability of food

              Unfortunately I travelled with AIRDECCAN on 9th of May 2008pune to NewDelhi and during the flight, Airhostess provided me a cup of tea and asked ""Twenty Rupees please"" which was really a shocking for me.And also very shameful for the AirDeccan.Moreover no LUNCH or any snacks were provided during the flight of two hours because it was paid. I had a Bitter experience for the first time in my life.So I suggest other people not to travel in AIR DECCAN.The Cost of my ticket was 4400 rupees which was costly as compared to the other flights. But the Airline was unable to provide the passengers a single cup of tea even.
              i have not get any gift in the sceme of monthly shopper's dhamaka of reliance fresh still 1 month even if my purchse was more then 15000rs. so i here by complain u that u r not giving me perfect ans. and also do not take care of custommers. so plz inform me shortly..my r card no is [protected]...

                Myself Suman Bansal working as Finance Manager in Tata Shaktee GC Sheets (Tata Steel Limited) in Hisar (Haryana), purchased some pkts of Red Lable Tea in 100 gr pack on 21.12.08 from Reliance Fresh Hisar (Jindal Chowk). On these packs parachute oil 50 ml was free. But the same was not available at the time & they assured to give me in 7 days.
                I regularly visit reliance store & while purchasing I used to ask for my packs. But there was not only poor response of staff also they misbehaved with me. This is not the single time they did to me. They used to abuse in routine & it is habbit of these illitrate staff specially forman Mr. Bhupinder Nehra, Hisar. He clearly denied to give me the scheme & said take it from Mumbai & do what you can?
                Is this the way to talk with customer? Such type of people should be KICKED out.

                Last evening i.e.;[protected], around 7.45 pm, I, Navin Agarwal with my 11 year old son and wife went to the Reliance Fresh Store to get some household food items.While I was returning through the door, my child was still there as i had gone to drop my wife home in my scooty. At the time my son was alone standing there with some poly bags, the security guard of the reliance store was just asking very silly questions to my son regarding me and family, my business, my salary and many such things.Just like "why did your dad purchase this scooty, he must have purchased a car, then it would be easy to carry the things from here."
                "Your dad must be a movie actor or a tv actor, I guess your must be earning just 2000 now, if he works in movies he'll get a lakh". And many such things were said to my son by this guy. After this incident, when i returned there, i saw my son there standing there with a small face, i just asked him casually what happened, then he just told me what had actually happen.

                My son even told me that this was not the first time that the guard asked him these things, he frequently did so. I am a regular customer of this Reliance fresh store

                After this, i immediately reached home with my child and made a call to the reliance store about this incident.They gave me a number of the head office saying that your complaint has been registered with the number 341056.

                This kind of problem can't be tolerated by me.Is this the way, that a security guard must behave to a consumer?Is there no dignity of a consumer? A consumer has the equal right over his dignity.

                  Dear Sir,

                  The Reliancefresh store at your Dombivli West is the worst one in respect of quality, service & availability of products. Please note:
                  1) Yesterday I took a packet of milk & Bread. But while making the Bill, the casher told me that he cannot
                  give these two items as the system is not updated for these two products. I had no option but to put back these two products and buy it from somewhere else. This is not the first time I am experiencing this type of difficulty at Reliancefresh(not only me, so many customers will confirm this to you).

                  2) The fruit & vegetable sold at the store are very old and not suitable for consumption.

                  3) The employees at the store are not all co-operative and you will not get any response from them
                  if you a want to know about any product.

                  4) I do not think the store will remain at this location with this condition for more time.

                    False commitment of scratch card benefit through a big hoarding & poster near the entrance of the store

                    I am a regular customer of Reliance Fresh outlet, Akash Kalsi Tower, Mango, Jamshedpur - 831018.
                    There was a big hoarding near at road side of the entrance for this store
                    Avail the scratch card offer for any purchase beyond Rs. 300/- and get a minimum guarantee cash back of Rs. 25/-
                    When I finished my billing where total amount was more than 300/-
                    Bill No. -0098 dated April 20, at 17:58 Reliance card No. [protected]

                    I was told that scratch card is out of stock. Then I asked whether I can avail this scheme when the card comes back, he said no it is not possible. That time again you have to do the fresh buying. When I complain to the irresponsible manager, (Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Mobile No. [protected]) he said that he can not help and asked me to contact customer care. When I insisted him to remove the big banner and hoarding near the entrance, he said no once the scratch card comes, this scheme will continue. When I failed to contact customer care thru the toll free no. given by Mr. Sanjeev, no response was there. I insisted him to connect me to customer care to lodge this complaint. After He kept me waiting more than 45 minutes for the entire episode and end result was the routine reply "We will get back to you within seven working days."

                    Very irresponsible, cheap, pathetic, uncultured and shocking.
                    Such is the behaviour of people that work at Reliance Fresh.

                    This is not happened to me first time. I had experienced the similar situation during Deepwali Silver Coin offer with same reply "Coin is out of stock"
                    Reduced rate tag is there on the article at rack. When you pick it up, go to the billing counter surprisingly they will reply "Sorry this offer was available till morning"

                    How many times a customer is being cheated like this.

                    Apart from economical loss Embarrassments and humiliation can not be measured
                    i am a job to want my qulaification are 10+2

                        Hi,
                        I am a regular customer of reliance fresh, Mico Layout, Bangalore.
                        Recently I have faced three problems in the same store.

                        1. Meal Card problem: According to IT law my meal card has maximum limit of Rs. 100 and it is legal to use meal card for food items having sum less than hundred.
                        But they didn’t allow my meal card for a sum of Rs 90.
                        2. I used to recharge my mobile at that shop with my credit card; recently they stopped taking credit card.
                        3. The last thing, which forced me to write this complain is very ridicules,
                        Today I got a lot of things from that shop, and the counter person packed it in one cover. So when I really tried carrying it, it was too heavy. I got another empty cover and thought dividing it outside, so that I can carry it. But that security guard snatched the empty cover and very rudely told me to get out of the store.
                        I don’t know how such a big store can have such type of rude and ill-behaved people. Is it like cost cutting or what?

                        If for cost cutting, people need to so manner less, then they don’t deserve to be here in this market. Other store people behave so nicely and help to carry things till the gate of the store. I would like to have a response for the same.

                          Mr. Ambani,

                          I am shocked to see your customer service staff speaking to the customers. I am one of those victims. I put up in Naveen Shahdara, Delhi-110032. i visited your Naveen Shahdara Reliance Fresh Branch on 02 May 2009 at 5 pm to purchase some housing day to day stuff. I am a regular visitor since this store has opened. There were 6 customers who were waiting to get their bill made after shopping. Only one cash counter was operating. After waiting for 15 minutes, I requested the cashier to get one more counter open for the customers so that the TAT get less. After requesting the same 10 minutes lates an executive called "PAPPU" came to operate the cash counter. He then took 15 minutes to count the cash which was lying in the drawer. On asking that why is taking so much time he answered "mai to saara cash gin kar apka kaam shuru karunga". IS THIS THE WAY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXECUTIVE SHOULD SPEAK TO THE CUSTOMERS" I asked him to call the manager. He said it's not my job & asked the guard to call the manager. Then after waiting for another 10 minutes I personally called the manager. I asked him "Is this the sort of customer service which they provide". He said "sir vo to time lagega na cash ginne mai". His name is "NAKUL SHUKLA". He was so rude in taking to the customers & so arrogant that I will not visit any of your store in future for sure. I asked him for a complaint register which he provide. I wrote a complaint of 2 pages for which I expect an answer & also a strict action against improving quality of service & people you recruit. I asked Mr.NAVIN SHUKA the so called manager for e-mail where I can put a mail & expressed my feekings that what did i go through he said I am not aware of any e-mail id. A manager doesn't know that. How poor & pathetic customer service is this. You know what when one luk at "Reliance" the first thing that comes into the mind is "DHIRUBHAI AMBANI" the great legend & when you get this type of service from Ambani company you feel complete sorry.

                          Am expecting a written reply to this answer along with a sorry call from Your manager "Navin Shukla" asap otherwise I would have no option rather than complaining to senior authorities including the government authority.

                          By the conclusion of what you have written it appears it is more of your ego.The counter guy has to count the cash to log in to secure the amount of money or he will be held liable if something is amiss when he logs out from that counter.
                          Also the outlets of such format are typically in a big place so taking 1o minutes is not a unusual time.It would generally take 4-5 minutes just to make one round of the outlet with no work .
                          The only point in your favor is queue was long so they should have started the second counter proactively.
                          I am from Hubli, Karnataka...And the customer service at the Deshpandenagar Reliance Fresh outlet is, something beyond PATHETIC...There is always ONLY a single counter at your service...And we the customers, are asked to tender the exact change while paying the bills...They never have the required change...The boy at the counter, one Mr.Shivanand peeps into my wallet and tells me "oh you have the change in there" !!! Very slow at their service...One guy even asks me to handover my purse at the entrance and get into the shop, "Because You're not allowed to carry any bag inside" he says...Atrocious...!!!

                            on 18/04/2009 i had purchased 10 coca cola items in reliance fresh @sevanagar bangalore, which according to the scheme i had to get 5 biriyani coupons..(1 for 2 bottles of 2 ltrs) but they haven't given till date, wen i ask them they are telling they have no stock...i have the bill..so please inform them about this elsewhere i'll have to be taking severe action...

                              I had purchased some items from reliance fresh store located near thane stn west (hotel prince) on sunday 26th april (morning). in the items purchased two biscuits packets (britannia biscuits) were having peculiar smell. I approached the store in the evening and asked them to replace the biscuits but instead the manager said I would have to approach the britannia customer care no to exchange the packets. when i asked them to give in writing the above advice they refuse to do so. when i asked them that should i call the police for registering my complaint the handed over me a complaint book where in i entered my complaint.

                              i completely agree with this kind of behaviour today they refused to give me the complaint register as they said they don't have one. I had a bad experience o[censored]tter disrespect towards the consumer. when they refused to give me a carry bag after billing when asked how do i carry it home they said you need to bring a bag. Then they gave me a Bag after altercation. Reliance fresh does not even have a proper website to register consumer complaints. it is sad on the part of India's biggest entreprenuer to not have a website dedicated for this service. I would be the last person to visit reliance fresh store. Pathetic is what i can say is the state of work out there.

                                Dear Sir,
                                Since long time i am observing that reliance fresh, adajan patia store staff keeping air conditioner off and therefore we customer gets stale food or bad food, toady i observed that cadbury product are totally out of shape (like liquid). wastage of food are also more, here i m talking about fresh vegitables and fruits and products which needs to keep in law degree temprature. Staff of evening are not bothered about interest of customer they some time behaved rude and murmoring unparliamentary language in such a voice easily listenable to customer. Please take this issue positely otherwise i take this issue in press, food and drug control authority soon.

                                  Sir/Madam,

                                  I did a shopping at the reliance fresh store in sector 31 of gurgaon of more than 2500/- on 19th apr '09 .The whole bill divided in four bills of rs 550 or more to get the benefit of scratch cards scheme which was on purchasing of material of Rs 550.
                                  After payment of bill we demanded for the scratch card coupon but these were not available, they assured me that they will send all the 8 scratch cards at my residence within an hour. I noted down my address and phone no. But till date they didn't contacted me.

                                  I want the deleivery of the scratch cards so that i could get the benefit of same.

                                  In case of no reply i will be forced to pursue the legal action as it is a clear cut cheating to the customer. In public interest the responsible person should be thrown out as they are bringing a bad reputation to the reliance fresh store.
                                  They are not increasing the customer base rather customer will turn somewhere else due to such type of activities.

                                  I, myself, visited so many times at this staore but in future I have to rethink about my visit there.

                                  ihave been visiting reliance store since 12-13 months but yesterday a unusual thing happened.it was 8 pm
                                  i entered the reliance store for purchasing different things, i went to the basement and start buying things and then suddenly a staff member came and told me that i have stole some choclates and have been eating in the basement.i was shocked, without any proof they took me to a room and said that i have to give 750 ruppees as a fine.they told me to write in written that i have stolen some bourville choclates''these choclates are costly, they made me force to give them 750ruppees in the room of the basement only .

                                  i am pretty shocked by seeing these kind of people in reliance stote of sec-31, near om sweets.
                                  ihope you would take some action towards them.these kind of people giuves bad image to the store.

                                    I visited to Reliace fresh ltd Madhuban Road Dayanand Block-31-32 on 19/04/2009 at 12:59 Hrs and buy a product name Sponge Mop GALA Mfg by Padmavati Enterprises of price 195/-.It is very cheep kind of product which i find after use and it damaged in the same day as the quality of material used to mfd this product is very cheep. I discussed this issue with store manager n he simply refused to help/replacement.

                                      I purchased Watermelon for Rs 30 (5Kg). I asked to check the watermelo whether the fruit is reddish or not reddish. But they said, its not a problem sir, you will get money if it is not in Red color. Then I went home and cut the fruit its totally white color some where I can find red color. Its look like pumbkin. I went to the shop and asked for change the fruit. But the salesman refused take the fruit. I said to him your saleman said that you will exchange if the fruit is not Good. But he is not ready to Listen.

                                      I lost Rs 30 unwantedly.

                                      Please take action if possible.

                                        dear all,

                                        today 31st march 09 3.30pm, i went to reliance fresh sec-3 udaipur, i bought coconut whose pricing was rs 10/kg, written on printed reliance paper. at the billing i noticed that the cashier was charging rs 10/pc. and when i objected to it he said to go and see the pricing again, when i confirmed and took that paper to the cashier, he said it was a mistake and we will not bill you do whatever you want to do, and the store manager (told as, Mr. shshank lodha) was not available, after requesting for a long he turned up from the back office and started abusing and gave my his area manager mr ajay no and told me he cannot do anything ( in his words in hindi ) wo sala kya ker lega, i was with my friend and she was scared by the staff behaviour.
                                        i called them a bunch of to which they started shouting, manhandling and thretened us.they pushed me out of the store so that i am detached from the other customers who were taking my side .
                                        later i spoke to their head mr. manoj ([protected]) supposed to be head of state operations, he too never called back after hearing my complaint .iam still wating to hear from them ..

                                        THIS IS WHAT ORGANISED RETAIL IS ...

                                        THIS IS SHAME ON RELIANCE RETAIL MANAGEMENT ESPICALLY ( OPERATIONS AND HR ) WHO HAD RECRUITED MANAGERS LIKE THIS ...

                                        I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE STEP INSIDE A RELIANCE STORE NORE USE ANY PRODUCTS IN WHICH THE NAME RELIANCE APPEARS UNLESS I GET AN APOPLOGY.

                                        I think the basic courtesy by the store officials should have been followed. It is really bad that they have behave in such a cruel manner
                                        IT'S REALLY SHAMEFULL FOR RELIANCE GROUP. THEY HAV A GOOD MARKET GOOD WILL.
                                        SUCH THINKS CAN RUIN THEIR IMAGE. YOU SHOULD CONTACT TO HIGHER AUTHORITIES.
                                        The same thing happen with me also. The cashier asked me the personal Identification number of my debit card after billing. This is supposed to dot the customer and he refused for the same
                                        it is the same in most of the reliance stores...i think reliance have taken up the initiative of hiring bunch of who can't find job anywhere else...who don't have the manners how to talk to customers...or who can embarrass the customers so that they never turn up again...i too faced similar kind of situation today at reliance mart in lake city mall when a stupid person doing billing talked so rudely that i threw whatever i purchased on his face and swore not to go to any of the reliance stores in future...
